De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero: 6/5/2014, #82 & 83 US (or something like that)
I’ve got an early and long day tomorrow, so I’m doing a bullet points quick and dirty, just the facts recap. Feel free to fill in anything I might have missed.
Labels: te-quiero
Poor Tibuurcio. He really should have spilled the beans sooner. But really, I think Padre needs to intervene now that Tib has been silenced by his stroke. He got halfway there. He clearly intended to tell Irene and Tad all.
Glad, Irma left right on queue. Finally! She decided not to help Rodrigo anymore seeing as in he wants to off his own brother, he's really gone too far. There's a special place in hell for people like him. I was getting frustrated with how Irma was lately, but now I see she decided to not do any harm to Diego. I hope Diego wakes up soon before the wedding between Rodrigo (Diego 2) and Natalia can happen.
Finally, nearly everyone knows what kind of demon Vicente really is. I knew he was lying when he told Irene her daughter was in Poza Rica. Duh, her daughter works in Caprico with her and that daughter is Natalia, she was adopted by Carmen Garcia.
Well, if Brat used all those adjectives to describe her nasty self, she is more self aware than I ever expected. People like Brat usually do not recognize their warped personalities.
As folks here suspected, Brat has evidently also been having sexy times with Big Al. Yikes, when Eager Al pounced on tiny Brat on that bed I thought that he might crush her. Brat is getting worse and worse. Is she redeemable ?
The game that El and Carmen are playing is getting tiresome. Life is short..."Make haste; the golden moments fly., (Longfellow)
"She sees through Grumps’ act and realizes that he’s the same maldito (a**hole) as before", " He has a sad" and "... or he might have another R. Kelly, trapped in the closet moment" were among my many favorites.
Irma really got under my skin. As you noted "Irma is shocked, shocked!". Really? Pleezzze. Perhaps she would not be directly culpable for Diego's murder (which we know won't occur), she deserves losing her license and yes, jail time. Immoral and unethical - guilty as charged.
Poor "T"! Grumps is becoming the major villain here, quickly becoming on a loathsome par with Rod.
I wanted to reach through the screen and hug Lupita. Not only does Carmen make (yet another) poor decision but El compounds it by proposing to Kim. Unworthy of both characters.
Anon, while rejoicing Irene and Tad know their daughter is alive, I fear the real heartbreak is still ahead and they likely will strive fruitlessly to find her. Will the padre speak? I'm sure something will occur that prevents that and the truth will remain hidden for some time.
Susanlynn, call me cynical but I suspect Brig was throwing out those unenviable traits, not because she felt they pertained to her, but simply as a way to avoid marrying Al. Thank you for the "Make haste; the golden moments fly" - wonderful advice.
Vivi, I would never have recognized Kim's mother from Un Refugio, what a good eye you have.
Thank you - this was great.
Diana
I for one am glad El is marrying Kim and not Carmen.
El - even stone succumbs to the environment
Carmen - had your shot, you collect suitors like beanie babies
Irene - the past is back to taunt you
Tad - find that daughter and Irene is yours
Brigitte - slime share
Irma - real conscience requires intervention not flight
Rod - it's hard when an employee no longer emotionally invested
Gino - damn man you should have let the guy shoot you
Does anyone get the feeling that aside from the mob, Gino has a wife back in Sicily and that's why he won't ever go back? I'm with Anon@5:31 am and Susanlynn about the silly games Carmen and El are playing.
tofie, another great list and ITA w/you and Diana, Irma's fleeing does not absolve her of all she has done to Diego.
I agree Diana and Karen that this was hardly a superficial recap. Well done with sparkling detail.
I don't know why, but little things like Rod's tie sticking out of the closet door while Brat was being crushed on the bed by Big Al are amusing to me.
Regarding Irma, I agree with tofie that real conscience requires more that flight, but what she is doing is better than what she has been doing, and will put Rod between a rock and a hard place. Somehow Mrs. T telling Rod that she's going to Miami must have some significance, but I don't understand how.
My impression is that Padre got his information about Irene's baby during a confession. If that is the only way he had access to this information then the seal of confession is absolute, and he may not divulge that information.
David
P.s. I am waiting for Big Al to find out that he has been sharing his naughty NOvia (Bleeccchhh ) with randy Rodiego and send him flying...and we all know that Big Al could send that slacker sailing through the air. Go, Big Al.
I too am not happy with El and Carmen. It is not cool at all what they are doing to Gino and Kimberly.
Refresh my memory (because there are many episodes that I missed), Gino explained to Carmen that the reason he disappeared all those years ago was because the mob forced him to marry, correct? Did he ever say what happened to the wife? Why is she assuming that he is single again? I'm also going on that assumption, since Gino doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would be a bigamist. But perhaps he also had no other choice but to escape Italy to escape her/the mob's clutches and a divorce wasn't an option. In any case, we know his Sicily troubles are coming back to bite him in the butt soon. I just hope that Paolo doesn't get hurt in the process-- any more than he will be by his parents not marrying after all (since Carm is in love with El).
Susanlynn- I can't wait for Alberto to find out the Rodiego has been boinking his novia. With Diego's luck, the reveal will happen just as he's getting out of his coma and he'll mistakenly get the beating that was intended for Rod.
And thank goodness it is detailed because my DVR did not record the last hour. I'm grateful for the details, but sort of glad I didn't have to watch it. (Por Siempre was listed as being on tonight, so I'm assuming that's why I only got an hour yesterday. Glad I checked or my recap would have been an hour short!)
I'm worried that Irene and Tad are going to make an incorrect assumption and we are going to have a false Nat fill in for a while.
Yeah...Irma...always the look of surprise, which makes no sense after she's gotten a daily--if not hourly--reminder that Rodrigo is a slimeball who's not to be trusted. At this point, I think the drugs should be out of Diego's system by the end of the day, unless Rod finds another nurse or tries to dope Diego up himself. What is taking the blood work Alonso ordered so long?! Maybe they cut something about that.
I remember Gino saying he had to get married, but unless they edited it out, he never said anything about what happened to his wife. The way she was threatening him in the flashback, saying he'd never be able to get away from her, I don't doubt she's still alive and out to get him. Or she's dead and her family is.
Nothing to add except, haven't Eleazor & Morales done a whole lot to be fired for & maybe even some carcel time? The thing with detaining & taking Irene to an isolated location at the request of Alonso? Now the phony thing in the restaurant. They are scaring the crap of of someone, which could have turned tragic & they are closing down restaurant. Sue, sue!
I seem to recall they did sth else unethical, maybe Jaiba?
Love Eleasor, buuuuuut????
as a waiter? OK, he is the head of homicide. And he is Marcelo!!
The killers don't dare to kill anyone, now that Marcelo, I mean Eleazar, is in charge.
Plus any murders that occurred would have to be linked to our current characters, and who can we see getting murdered? Gino by the mob? Too sad for Paolo. Will Rod succeed in murdering someone? Can't be Diego, since he's the galan. Will Grumps kill Mr. T before he regains the ability to speak? A possibility. Hard to included murder in a light/comedy tn without changing the tone.
Isn't this a comedy?
