Mi Corazón Es Tuyo (My Heart Is Yours) - Synopsis

MiCorazón Es Tuyo (My Heart Is Yours) starts July 21 @ 8PM for now, replacing DQTQ, and is a Juan Osorio production.....

Ana Leal (Silvia Navarro) is an exotic dancer by night who, as fate would have it, begins working as a nanny in a wealthy family’s mansion during the day.  Fernando Lascurain (Jorge Salinas), the owner of this grand mansion and its even grander family, is a successful businessman and widower left with seven kids to raise. (This guy's been busy!)

Ana hates the exotic dancer gig but she has just lost possession of the house she's worked so hard to own.  She's determined to begin all over again.   Because of some clerical error during her job search, Ana learns she's actually been sent to apply as a “nanny” for a wealthy widower with seven—count 'em, s.e.v.e.n. …..uhmmmm..... shall we say ….vexingly vivacious..... --children.  Their papi, meanwhile, is determined to replace his deceased wife with a woman of similar status and “breeding” (as in cattle, horses, and she-dogs).

Ana, although not from the righteously rarified right side of the tracks, manages to pull a Mary Poppins on the kids to get them over the trauma of losing their mama.  Along the way, she and Fernando recognize their romantic attraction towards each other.

Also starring is Pablo Montero as Fernando’s brother and Mayrín Villanueva as a first-time villana.   Other headliners are Carmen Salinas, René Casados, Adrián Uribe, Fabiola Campomanes, and Lisardo.

I won't mind recaping this one if you guys need it. I like Rene Casados, Silvia, Jorge and the rest of the cast... the story is a bit of cinderella in steroids but i like what i read.

Hi, Jardinera. Good to "see" you. We have not been watching the same novelas lately. I am going to give this one a try. It sounds like The Sound of a Music South of the Border....with a twist...as in nanny is a pole dancer instead of a nun. Vivi gave me the heads up on Sylvia learning to pole dance on YouTube. Should be different from the telenovelas I have seen .

Martai: Definitely, we'd love to have you recapping this one! If you have a preference T,W and Th are open. Email me if you want, also, with any special needs. Cinderella on Steroids is a close comparison, I'm sure. I'm thinking Urban asked for Mondays. I'm taking Fridays.
==========

Susanlynn: I've been watching Robo, but not commenting this go 'round. Am jumping back in with this one for the very reasons you gave! The Sound of Music goes South of the Border..... Have missed your Rorschach analogies, amiga.

Jardinera: thank you for the summary "….vexingly vivacious..... --children" was great and "Ana, although not from the righteously rarified right side of the tracks" made me smile away.

I like Salinas and Rene Casados is one of my favorites.

Always great to see your posts.

Diana

Jardinera:

Thanks for this excellent summary. It sounds like a hoot, and I've seen the preview for this one. The kids are really funny from the snippet I saw. I may watch now and then. Looking forward to your recaps : )

If you're sure this is the replacement, I'll let the other DQTQTQ recappers know to chime in ASAP. Typically the recappers on the current show get first dibs at the one that's taking its place.

For myself, I think this one sounds like fun, but at the same time, I also liked the earliest slot, so I'd like to see what's coming in there. It's hard to plan until Uni quits being vague. Their "Univision Novelas" page on Facebook hinted that they're trying to wrap up all the current ones at the same time, but I may be reading too much into it. The status update said something like "Every novela has its end and so we invite you to see the home stretch of De que, Lo que, and Pobres Monday-Friday starting at 7pm/6c."

Thanks for the post, Jardinera! I'm looking forward to this one. It seems like it will be fun.

Is this one replacing DQTQTQ, or just one hour of the 2 hour slot it currently occupies?

Since this one has barely started in Mexico, there is no way it can take a two hour slot. So either DQTQTQ will be with us for a while longer, or another tn will be taking the 7pm slot (La Gata?), while this takes the 8pm slot.

I'm not interested in La Gata at all, though I hear it did well in Mexico. All they're saying about it so far is "September," but no date.

DQTQTQ is showing two hour epis again starting tonight. I also saw that La Gata has been moved to September. QPTR ends the first or second week of August and LQLVMR ends the first or second week of August too.

That makes me think they almost have to put something else in at the same time as Mi Corazon, or else fill in that 7/6c hour with talk shows, etc. until...August? September? Did they maybe put off La Gata to get it into a later hour?

Kat,

Good Question. There were two TNs that should have started already but haven't. One is El Color de la Pasion and Quiero Amarte. There is also La Malquerida, which just started in Mexico.

Man, I want to watch this show. I like all of the actors in it. I might have to break down and get Hulu+ or borrow my dad's DirecTv sign in b/c I'm not sure I'll have time to watch.

Interesting cast but i usually hate Osorio productions sho who knows. Weird how Univision is playing around with its novelas.

If DQTQTQ continues its 3 in 1 2hour airings, it very well could be over by July 21st. I really wish Uni would plan and stick to that plan and stop scrambling around. Like you, Kat, I really like the early slot. And Uni still has a month to change their minds. I won't believe this one is coming until it's actually on.

I'd love to be able to get back into the recapping game, but my schedule has been so hectic lately, I honestly don't know if I have the time for it.

But, STILL, this is a Silvia Navarro telenovela...
OK, I want to give it a try, too, preferably once every other week if there are enough recappers - I haven't been around in a while and I don't want to take anyone's place. I think I could do Thursdays, if everyone else is OK with this.
Either way is fine, I know I'm going to make an extra effort to watch this one.

Kat/7pm recappars: The sources I've checked are from the entertainment sections of Uni and Esmas and 8pm was the time listed, tho' some articles have actually used Pobre as the tn being replaced, which would be a 10pm slot. It was assumed that since we have generally had 4 tn's per evening, this would preclude interfering with the new 7pm tn that should also be starting after the DQTQ fin. It was always considered a 7pm telenovela till Para Siempre ended and they started doubling up the thing. Again I assumed they were finally filling up the Para Siempre slot. That's why I put the "for now" caveat up there. A new recapping team was supposedly needed for 8pm whatever the new TN would end up being.
=/: ? )

Anyway, till something definitive regarding the 7pm slot oomes through (in the next couple of weeks?) there's plenty of alternate recap-sharing options if 7pm people want to jump on board. As for me, I'm happy to share my Fridays. Just let me and Melinama know.

BTW, gang, La Gata has been moved to "4th qtr 2014" per Uni's program directive.

Madelaine: I caught an "avance" on You Tube and it grabbed me. The chemistry looks great and I think JS and SN are a good match talent-wise.

I'm going to hold out for the 7pm/6c replacement, assuming there will be one! But I will pass this one to the DQTQTQ team.

Jardinera, I would share Fridays with you. I've been waiting for this TN to come along, I hope it's as good as I the actors in it.

I'll wait to see what the 7pm/6 replacement is so I can keep Friday.

MartaIvett/Cathy X/Adriana Noel: I'm fine with you taking half the Fridays and I can help Adriana with half her Thursdays. Marta, would you be fine with a Tuesday or a Wednesday?

7pm recapping team: Totally can understand your decision to stick with 7pm options when DQTQ finally ends.

Anybody else?

===========
Diana: Great to see you're still with us! I've always enjoyed your on target opining. (: ? ))

I can do any day except monday nights. so you let me know. tues, wed or thur full or part time is fine.

Hi, gang!

I just watched the first episode of the show.
Without giving away any spoilers, I have to say that gone are Camila from AB and Renata from CMA - Televisa is finally allowing Silvia Navarro to play something different. And she seems to enjoy it quite a lot.
