Mi Corazón Es Tuyo (My Heart Is Yours) - Synopsis
Ana Leal (Silvia Navarro) is an exotic dancer by night who, as fate would have it, begins working as a nanny in a wealthy family’s mansion during the day. Fernando Lascurain (Jorge Salinas), the owner of this grand mansion and its even grander family, is a successful businessman and widower left with seven kids to raise. (This guy's been busy!)
Ana hates the exotic dancer gig but she has just lost possession of the house she's worked so hard to own. She's determined to begin all over again. Because of some clerical error during her job search, Ana learns she's actually been sent to apply as a “nanny” for a wealthy widower with seven—count 'em, s.e.v.e.n. …..uhmmmm..... shall we say ….vexingly vivacious..... --children. Their papi, meanwhile, is determined to replace his deceased wife with a woman of similar status and “breeding” (as in cattle, horses, and she-dogs).
Ana, although not from the righteously rarified right side of the tracks, manages to pull a Mary Poppins on the kids to get them over the trauma of losing their mama. Along the way, she and Fernando recognize their romantic attraction towards each other.
Also starring is Pablo Montero as Fernando’s brother and Mayrín Villanueva as a first-time villana. Other headliners are Carmen Salinas, René Casados, Adrián Uribe, Fabiola Campomanes, and Lisardo.

Susanlynn: I've been watching Robo, but not commenting this go 'round. Am jumping back in with this one for the very reasons you gave! The Sound of Music goes South of the Border..... Have missed your Rorschach analogies, amiga.
I like Salinas and Rene Casados is one of my favorites.
Always great to see your posts.

Thanks for this excellent summary. It sounds like a hoot, and I've seen the preview for this one. The kids are really funny from the snippet I saw. I may watch now and then. Looking forward to your recaps : )
For myself, I think this one sounds like fun, but at the same time, I also liked the earliest slot, so I'd like to see what's coming in there. It's hard to plan until Uni quits being vague. Their "Univision Novelas" page on Facebook hinted that they're trying to wrap up all the current ones at the same time, but I may be reading too much into it. The status update said something like "Every novela has its end and so we invite you to see the home stretch of De que, Lo que, and Pobres Monday-Friday starting at 7pm/6c."
Is this one replacing DQTQTQ, or just one hour of the 2 hour slot it currently occupies?
Good Question. There were two TNs that should have started already but haven't. One is El Color de la Pasion and Quiero Amarte. There is also La Malquerida, which just started in Mexico.
But, STILL, this is a Silvia Navarro telenovela...
OK, I want to give it a try, too, preferably once every other week if there are enough recappers - I haven't been around in a while and I don't want to take anyone's place. I think I could do Thursdays, if everyone else is OK with this.
Either way is fine, I know I'm going to make an extra effort to watch this one.
=/: ? )
Anyway, till something definitive regarding the 7pm slot oomes through (in the next couple of weeks?) there's plenty of alternate recap-sharing options if 7pm people want to jump on board. As for me, I'm happy to share my Fridays. Just let me and Melinama know.
BTW, gang, La Gata has been moved to "4th qtr 2014" per Uni's program directive.
7pm recapping team: Totally can understand your decision to stick with 7pm options when DQTQ finally ends.
Anybody else?

Diana: Great to see you're still with us! I've always enjoyed your on target opining. (: ? ))
I just watched the first episode of the show.
Without giving away any spoilers, I have to say that gone are Camila from AB and Renata from CMA - Televisa is finally allowing Silvia Navarro to play something different. And she seems to enjoy it quite a lot.
