La Malquerida, capitulo 31. 10/06/14. Esteban is sinking deeper into crazyville.
Skipping the old..........
Esteban gets onto Cris for allowing Acacia to seek out Ulises. He always finds a way for Acacia to go back to him. Cris tries to explain that Acacia went to seek the truth about what she saw at the event. Esteban tells her she has no idea what Acacia went through seeing Ulises and Nuria together. How humiliated she felt. Cris feels she and Acacia made the right decision. In regards to Ulises, I will stand by her side.
Acacia looks in the window and see Nuria telling Ulises it's time for bed. She's about to knock on the door, but Rubio stops her. He warns her she might not like what she encounters if she goes in. he offers to go instead and punch Ulises. She decides it's best to leave.
Luisa comes back happy from the event she and Arturo catered. She sees Rosa with a long face and asks if something happened to Manuel. Instead she gets a slap in the face. When she asks what's the slap for, Rosa says for lying. You were never in a relationship with Manuel. He said he would never be in a relationship with a servant.
Nuria is in Ulises room commenting on his nice home. He is lying in bed and she sits down and starts rubbing his back. He hopes to one day construct his own home to his liking. She offers to make him some coffee or better yet open up a bottle of wine and celebrate his success.
Luisa accuses Rosa of lying. Manuel would never say something so ugly. Rosa says he did and she will never allow Luisa to seek out Manuel and ask him. Luisa knows Manuel was in surgery and asked who told her that lie? Rosa admits she went to the hospital and suffered the worst humiliation from his parents. They reminded me of my station. Juliana told me everything. Luisa says that she hates her. Arturo walks in on this scene but decides to stay out of site. Rosa asks Luisa why can't see understand that the rich only want to have fun of us. What did Manuel say to make you fall for him? Tell me the truth? How far did you go with him?
Ulises decides he prefers to rest. He offers to accompany her to her vehicle. He appreciates her help but prefers to be alone. She offers to pick him up for work in the morning, but he rejects the offer. He will use his bicycle.
Rosa can't believe that her granddaughter who she has cared so much for, will allow herself to be disrespected. Luisa can't believe that the one person who loves her the most would insult her that way. I am a decent girl and the only reason he can't fall in love with me is because he is in love with Acacia. Rosa asks if she knows this, then way chase Manuel? Only hurtful lectures are ones that will never be forgotten replies Rosa when Luisa asks why she is so hard on her. I don't want a rich guy to fool around with you. I don't want you pregnant. Arturo chooses this time to call out to Luisa that he is coming in with some bowls. Rosa says they will continue their talk later.
On her way home, Acacia cries.
Arturo says he won't stay long since his mother is waiting in the car. Carmen comes in with tupperware. Luisa runs off to get the rest of the stuff out of the car. Arturo goes after her. She asks if he heard what her grandmother said to her and he denies it. I only ask because you were so happy and now you look so sad replies Arturo. She says she's just tired.
Back at the hospital, Juliana is explaining to Manuel that Rosa came by for a visit. She wanted to talk to you to find out when you were going to publicize your relationship with that servant girl. Manuel doesn't understand where Rosa could have thought that. Luisa probably told her that but that is wrong. I told her nothing would happen to us. Juliana points out that Acacia is no longer with Ulises. Manuel says he will take this opportunity to get together with Acacia. Juliana agrees, but tells him to make sure he distances himself from Luisa.
Carmen tells Rosa that Luisa is a great cook. Rosa is glad that Luisa got that from her. This will help her always have work. Carmen thinks Luisa will be a great chef. She and my son do well together. Luisa and Arturo come back in and Rosa apologizes for not offering Carmen anything to drink. One of the ranch hands walks in saying Andres is looking for Arturo and Carmen. Carmen says she will take up the offer of coffee another day. Arturo says admit it. Andres is your boyfriend.
German aka big sexy is in the waiting room where Ale finds him. She sees him upset and quickly asks if Manuel is okay. Big sexy says he's fine but wants to know who the guy is that wants her painting.
Cris is on the phone with her parents and walking with Esteban. She tells them that she will take good care of Acacia. She sees Arturo, Carmen and Andres walking up. She tells Esteban that they need to talk to them. He can't believe she wants to talk to them after everything that happened. Cris says she doesn't want this situation to effect her relationship with Carmen and company. Esteban tells her he's out. Carmen tells Cris that they came to drop off Luisa and the left over food. Cris wants to talk about what is going on with their kids. Carmen agrees.
Big sexy wants Ale to tell him who wants a painting of her? She says she doesn't know. She thinks that they don't necessarily want a painting of her, but just a painting. He is after all a good painter. I think you should take this opportunity to confront your dad on your painting but big sexy disagrees. He has never seen his dad so mad. Ale thinks he can't deny big sexy his passion. You work at the finca all day and the association. Think about what you really want to do.
Cris, Carmen, Andres and Arturo are in the living room. Andres talks about his book and gives Cris a copy for her and her dad. Luisa comes in with a tray of coffee and Arturo offers to help her. She declines his offer. He is after all an invited guest and she is just a servant. Cris asks her what's wrong? You know you are part of the family. But I'm really not replies Luisa. Arturo tells her to quit talking nonsense. Luisa runs off and Arturo asks Cris to go after her. Cris gives her consent. He confronts Luisa in the hall and says she cannot deny that something is bothering her. Why do you say you are only here to serve us? Especially when we were talking to my mom and Andres how well we work together? Luisa tells him to forget it. I don't think we will work together again. And I will probably have to leave school. Why asks Arturo. It doesn't matter replies Luisa. Arturo thinks she's making a mistake. She worked hard to get into that school and shouldn't just abandon it. If you don't want to tell me what happened then know I think you have a great career ahead of you. Stop thinking you are less. I have known many people in my line of work and some rich. But they don't have half the talent and dedication you have. Luisa appreciates his words, but right now that is just what they are.
Carmen hopes that Arturo can talk some sense into Luisa. Cris says she will talk to her later. Right now she wants to talk about their kids. She admits that Acacia went after Ulises to fix things. Carmen is happy to hear that. Her son was so sad after everything that happened. He never drinks and now drank to much. Cris hopes that everything will work out. Carmen points out they are just kids and need to learn to deal with difficult situations. Cris agrees. Carmen doesn't know what will happen with the kids, but hopes there will be no friction between them. Andres says he also hopes things work out. He doesn't want her dad to switch doctors. Arturo walks in with a long face. Carmen says it's time to leave and asks Arturo if everything is now okay with Luisa. He says he doesn't think that Luisa has enough confidence in him to talk about what's bothering her.
Norberto has a flashback to the day he found Juliana looking at a drawing of her done by Andres. He throws the flowers he was bringing her and snatches the picture out of her hands. He reads the name of the artist and says that's that bastard that left you. I promised you that I would raise your child as if he was my own. Just for you. Back to the present, he sees Juliana and asks her if she has known that German is still painting. She says she thought he stopped a while ago. He accuses her of lying and says he will not allow German to be like his bio dad. Juliana admits that he was not a painter but studying to be a doctor. Norberto asks why she didn't tell him before. She reminds him that he was very angry at the time. Norberto tells Juliana that if she doesn't want German to know he is not his natural father then he better no paint anymore.
Esteban is staring at a picture of him and Acacia at the beach. Cris comes in upset that he wouldn't stay and talk to their company. He says he's not a hypocrite. He would have told Carmen that he doesn't want to see her son at the hacienda ever again. Or anyone from his family. Cris tells him to calm down. What if they get back together again? Esteban says that's what he is concerned about. Look at the time and they have not arrived. Cris thinks he's overreacting. Esteban says he doesn't care. All he cares about is that Acacia doesn't suffer. And as her mother, you should also be concerned about that. He storms out.
Juliana tries to sweet talk Norberto. She points out that German doesn't know why Norberto feels the way he does about this painting. The only father he has is you. He tells Juliana that German can keep thinking that as long as he gives up his painting. Juliana promises to talk to German. She asks him why Manuel didn't want to see him before the surgery. Norberto says that Manuel needs someone to take out his frustrations and pain. He choose me because he knew I could handle it. Juliana wants him to help her keep that servant girl away from him. Norberto agrees. He doesn’t' want Manuel to end up with a woman like her.
Acacia runs into the house and runs into Esteban's arms. She says you were right. Ulises is no good and I no longer want to see him. Esteban says she will be okay. He will make sure. How asks Acacia. I will take care of you and teach you all about life. El Rubio sneaks up behind them observing and seeing all.
Danilo apologizes for the interruption. He just came by to see how German's brother is fairing. Everything went well replies big sexy. Danilo assures him that he will be attentive. The waitress brings by the check. German offers Danilo to get him something, but Danilo declines. He offers to pay the check and takes it from the waitress. German takes it from him and says he will handle it. He goes off to pay but before gives Ale a kiss. Danilo takes the opportunity to tell Ale that he has her watched. He mentions that after work, she went to the church then came to the hospital. Ale asks for more time. Danilo says she better not have a boyfriend by tomorrow. Otherwise he will no longer have hands to paint with.
Acacia tells Esteban that she doesn't know how he does it, but he makes her feel better. Esteban wants to know what happened. Acacia says she can't. She feels to embarrassed. She realizes that Ulises is no good. He is glad to hear that she finally realized how Ulises really is. He is much older and has more experience so he sees these type of things. Acacia promises to listen to him more and he promises to help her not get depressed. Because there is nothing more I hate than to see you cry.
Ale tells Danilo that she can't just break up with big sexy like that. He tells her it's her problem. You know what I want. I will treat you the way you deserve once you break up with this idiot. Big sexy comes back and tells Ale that it's time to leave and leans in to kiss her. Danilo not so happy with the exchange. Juliana walks in and Danilo is all smiles. He greets her and offers her a chair. He says he just came by to see how her son was doing. She tells him to take a seat and he looks over at Ale. Big sexy is not happy. Ale is freaked out.
Esteban feels bad that she finally found out that what he told her was correct. That Ulises is no good. Believe it or not, I wanted to avoid you getting hurt. I realize now that you care for me and I appreciate you having my back. She hugs him yet again. Rubio is smiling in the background. Cris comes in and Acacia goes to her for some comfort. She says her relationship with Ulises is now over. Cris says she feels bad for her and they go off to her bedroom.
German tells Juliana that she should eat, but she declines. Danilo says he better take his leave. He doesn't want to be a bother. Juliana tells him to stay. He is never a bother. German thanks Danilo for coming. Danilo kisses Juliana's hand and is glad the surgery went well. You need your hands for everything. Ale looks sick and caresses German's hand. Danilo leaves and Juliana gets onto for German. His father is furious that he keeps painting. I told him I didn't know anything about it. German says his father now crossed the line. Ale excuses herself. Juliana wants German to explain what happened with Norberto.
Ale goes off crying and says she can't allow anyone to hurt German.
German says he only made a painting of Ale. Is not normal for his father to react the way he did. What is wrong with him when it comes to me? If it wasn't for Andres, he would have hit me. Juliana becomes frantic. She asks what Andres told Norberto. He confronted my dad and I had to get in the middle so they wouldn't fight replies German. Did you tell your dad who Andres was asks Juliana. I just told him that Andres was the doctor for Cris's father and that he was at the wedding replies German. Knowing how dad would react in finding out you know him, I completely understand. Juliana asks that Norberto not know the doctor's name. He can become very violent if he finds out.
Cris tells Acacia to calm down. Did you really talk to Ulises about how you feel? Acacia says she tried to talk to him but when she got there, he and Nuria were very chummy. When I went to question him, I overheard Nuria talking about going to bed. Esteban was always right. Cris feels badly. Carmen and I thought everything would work out. Acacia again says how right Esteban was. Cris understands but believes Acacia had to see it with her own eyes. Acacia says if only Cris saw how chummy Ulises was with Nuria as they walked into his bedroom. Cris tells her not to think about it. Acacia can't believe that Nuria just met Ulises and is already sleeping with him. That's why he wants her. Cris tells her that if a woman doesn't respect herself, no man will take her seriously. Acacia says she still cares for Ulises. How do I take out what I feel for him? Do you think if I had slept with him he wouldn’t be with that woman? Cris thinks if there is true love between a couple, then there is no reason for one to stray. But not all men think that. Acacia asks if desire for someone is stronger than love.
Esteban is outside cutting some wood when Rubio strolls up. He tells Esteban to leave it alone and go back into the house. Esteban tells him to leave. El Rubio reminds him that he asked to know everything about Ulises. Do you want to know what happened when I took Acacia to his house? She saw Ulises with another woman and they looked very happy. Acacia wanted to confront him but I held her back. She cried all the way back here. Esteban believes now Acacia will not want to return with Ulises. El Rubio says he saw how Esteban and Acacia where hugging. He is not the only one with feelings. He sees desire between Esteban and Acacia. And that is very dangerous.
Cris believes passion can blind you and make you impulsive. But it is our duty to control that. Acacia asks if that has ever happened to her. No, replies Cris. Well the temptation I once felt was with Hector. I went to the same school with him but then I met your father. And I fell in love. I told Hector that I fell in love with your father and that we could only be friends. There will always be someone more handsome or something that fascinates you about them. But if there is genuine love, one can always control themselves. Acacia thinks perhaps she should leave and go back to San Jaciento. Cris begs her to stay. You have to learn to confront things that hurt you. You have so many people here that love you. Think of something that can distract you from your pain. I will always be here for you. We have been apart for so long.
Esteban takes Rubio by the collar and asks why would he say such a thing? She is my stepdaughter. Rubio points out that she is a woman and he is a man. Day after day I see you wanting her more. Esteban tells him not to say that and throws him to the ground. Rubio points out that their was an obstacle in the way for he and Acacia. But that obstacle is no longer there and he walks off.
Juliana begs German to listen to everything she has said. German will think it over and says that Ale has taken a long time in the bathroom. Juliana says she's just being discreet. He asks her to go get Ale. He wants to see his brother. Juliana finds Ale and asks her if she was crying. Ale lies and says she's getting a cold. Juliana tells her to take care of herself and is upset about what happened with Norberto and German. She wants Ale to help her get German to stop painting for awhile. Ale knows painting is German's life and he does it well. Juliana knows but thinks it's better if he stops for awhile. Ale disagrees. She thinks German should confront his father about his painting. Juliana says if you really love my son, I ask that you have my back.
Luisa tells Rosa to head off to bed. She now realizes what her station is. Rosa says she talks like she has finally given in the towel. She reminds Luisa that she doesn't need her. She has always worked and prays to God that she dies working. She tells Luisa to sit so they can talk. Rosa wants Luisa to promise her that she will no longer be around Manuel but Luisa wants to confront him. She needs to find out if what his mother told Rosa is the truth. Rosa points out that even if he didn't say that, his parents don't want her. She advises Luisa to look elsewhere. And where should I asks Luisa. Everywhere I turn, it's people with money. Rosa suggests she look at the people at the hacienda. Are you referring to El Rubio asks Luisa. No thanks. You want me with someone that is always pestering other women? I rather be a nun. Rosa thinks a good idea. If you continue to see Manuel, I will speak to the father at the church to put you in a convent. I prefer you as a nun than a loose woman.
Manuel is happy that the surgery went well. He will be as good as new. German is happy to hear it. Now you can help with the finca so I can dedicate more time to painting. Manuel can't believe it. His father finally relented? German says there was a big argument but he is now at his side. It's not easy, but seeing how Ale backs me up it just makes me want to dedicate myself to painting. Manuel is happy to hear it. If you need help with father than count on me. German pulls out Luisa's letter and tries to give it to Manuel. He tells him to just leave it on the table. German asks him to read it later. Luisa is really worried about him.
Cris tells Acacia that she needs to talk to Luisa. Something happened. Luisa barges in crying and apologizes for interrupting them. Cris says she will leave them to talk. She hugs Acacia.
Andres tells Carmen that at the hospital today he ran into his ex-girlfriend. Did she keep insisting to talk to you asks Carmen. She did but I told her I wanted nothing to do with her replies Andres. I don't want to talk about what happened years ago. It is done and buried. I want you to know what I care about is here and now.
Esteban comes out from his shower and recalls Rubio's words. Cris walks in and Esteban lays into her. I told you I was right about Ulises. Perhaps you are right replies Cris. She is suffering because he is her first love. But I don't walk to talk about Acacia. I want to talk about you and me. I don't like how you talked to me. Or left me with words still in my mouth. You have never disrespected me like that and I will not allow it. She turns to leave and Esteban pulls her back apologizing. I just wanted you to know what Acacia needs. I understand you were right about Ulises but from now on the only one taking care of Acacia is me says Cris. And to start off, I will take her from here.

Welcome back, Gloria! We missed your wonderful recaps. I hope you had a relaxing vacation.
I just wanted to smack Este this entire episode. I'm so glad Cris took him to task for being rude to Uli's family, and rude to her. I love that she demanded respect, and I also loved her talk with Acacia. Wise advice, without all the drama Este always stirs up when he talks to Acacia. I wonder if Acacia will remember this conversation about love vs desire later. Maybe Este is the one who needs to hear it?
Also giving good advice tonight was Arturo to Luisa. Hopefully, she'll heed his advice. She and Rosa can't seems to have a healthy conversation about this. Louisa's obsession with Manuel should have nothing to do with rich vs poor, or Luisa's education and ambition to become a chef. Yet they can't seem to separate these things when they talk. Her obsession with Manuel is bad simply because he does not return her feelings, and frankly because he's a lousy choice for a boyfriend!

What excuse is Ale going to give German for breaking up with him? He's already way suspicious of Danilo. His body language said it all when Dan came up to them- shying away from Dan's touch, refusing to let him pay, kissing Ale repeatedly, taking Dan's hand off of Julie's and rushing Dan off. He did not like seeing Dan slime all over his girlfriend and mom.
What's Ale going to do. I thought it interesting that she encouraged German to confront Norberto, but can't seem to do the same with Dan. Of course, these are very different situations with much more at risk in her situation.

Danilo’s smarmy attempts to insinuate himself has succeeded with mixed results. He has fooled Julie and Cris to some extent. Thankfully, Rosa and German see him for the vermin that he is. “I will treat you the way you deserve once you break up with this idiot”. Yes, I’m sure Ale is looking forward to being beaten, raped and oh yes, receiving further disfigurements via his knife. Revolting.
If ever there was a time Ale needs to tell German the truth it is now. She can’t stay and continue in a relationship with German – she (and we) know Danilo will make good on his threats. It would appear her only options are breaking up with him or running away.
The pivotal question of the night was “Acacia asks if desire for someone is stronger than love”. It appears that it might be so. Esteban is losing complete control of his emotions. We have never seen he and Cris in anything but loving together, until now. I love that Cris is standing up to him though. It’s nice to see Victoria playing a strong character here. I fear there will be many tears shed though. And for that, I cannot blame her.
Arturo continues to rise in stature as a kind, caring and loving man. And of course you are right Vivi, Rosa only succeeds in hurting Luisa more with each conversation. I know she was horribly hurt and embarrassed by Norberto and Juliana. Yet, continually harping on their social status differences (and this fact alone) will only deepen the divide between them and will force Luisa into simply giving up. On Everything. As she now appears to be doing.
An unsettling espisode that is leaving the door open for much heartbreak and sadness.

Thanks so much, Gloria. I hope that you had a wonderful vacation. We all need to get away from time to time to recharge our psychic batteries.
German and Arturo are the real heroes of this show, and I hope that they will succeed in helping their damsels in distress. I am most interested in German and Ale..perfect casting of these two characters. I liked the way German stood up to his full height and gazed down at Damdan for a second as he rose to pay his own damn bill after giving Ale a sweet, kiss.
Este is disgusting, and icky Ruboi is always lurking. Doesn't he have work to do? Well, I do. Later, gators....susanlynn

Wow, great recap! I'm so sorry I can't comment more often, I've had some work problems lately and that left me with little time for anything else.
But I'm trying my best to stay up to date with this one, because the story is a lovely mess.
Is desire stronger than love? I think this is the main thing Esteban is dealing with right now and Acacia will probably go this route soon, too. She is in love with Ulises (although he's a little too bland for my taste), but there is something about step-daddy dearest...

Thanks so much Gloria. Due to the nature of my life, I am a "hoverer" around Caray Blog. There are so many good telenovelas that I read(in English) and little Spanish. Every now and then I would butt in so I apologize for not joining the fun always. I do enjoy the superbly intellectual exchanges of the Caray culture club.
I just came from a trip and lo and behold, I found the Caray site completely changed. I am addressing this to whoever can help me. Maybe, Vivi, can you help me. I read a lot of the synopses of almost all the tns, on the left side of the site, now I noticed that only a few are left and the rest like, FEls, LQNPA,and the rest are gone!!!!!!!how can I finish all my novelas:?Where can I get hold of them?
And now for my comment about this novella, La Malquerida. My skin crawls every time I see the incestuous gaze of Este and because of this I am contemplating to stop watching this tn. I feel like throwing up because of the nature of this tn. BUT a novella is a novella for me. Too, I enjoy the brilliant acting of quite a few of my favorite actors/actresses.

You stated what some/most of us have been feeling for some time. We are intrigued yet repelled by some of the storylines here.
For myself, athough Esteban is having impure thoughts (eg Jimmy Carter), but hasn't yet acted on them, I am giving him a pass (albeit a disapproving one) at the moment. What is upsetting to me is his nasty behavior and attitude toward Cris. They were so happy and in love. While Cris knows something is wrong, she hasn't yet put the proper pieces in place. I hope she does before everything implodes. She will be devastated either way, but I for one would rather see the train coming before it hits. I am assuming Esteban will either declare himself to Acacaia and/or act on it. But we don't know that for certain.

Yes. Perfect way to describe this tn. There are only very few reasons why I stop watching a tn, and sometimes not even then. Bad writing; stupid beyond belief characters; nonsensical plot/character movement; violence against children (why I couldn't watch the beginning of this one- Ale, and En Nombre del Amor- Paloma); and sensationalized/exploitative violence (many narco-novelas).
I find this tn to be well written and acted, and even though I don't agree with all the characters' behavior/choices, I can understand them. I'm hoping many of them won't make bad choices, but I know some of them will-- fueling the drama we are watching.
-Will Esteban and Acacia act on their lustful feelings and break Cris' heart?
-Will Luisa make poor man and life choices?
-Will Ale tell German the truth and denounce Dan?
-Will Manuel go to the dark side with his father and mother to secure Acacia and the Benavente?
-Will German stand up to Norberto and pursue his dreams?

-Will Andres fall for Juliana's charms?

In asking myself if Manuel will go to the dark side, I realize that he already has in some ways. He alone knows for sure that Norberto caused that fire. (Norberto went out of his way to get German to think he's innocent.) So right now he is aware that Acacia's family is in dire financial straights because of his father, and yet he is going along with them paying his medical care AND trying to make Acacia feel guilty for his condition. Tsk, tsk, Manuel!

Vivi, I've noticed that everyone is jumping on the "Bashing Rosa" bandwagon, it's gone way too far.

Steve- I don't think there's out of control Rosa bashing, yet. Rosa loves Luisa dearly, but they are definitely not speaking the same language and only end up hurting each other. Rosa has a very outdated world view about some things (class, education), but is right on about other things (a woman respecting herself, a woman taking care of herself). Unfortunately, mixing her outdated messages with her more encouraging messages, only ends up making a mess when she and Luisa try to talk. They are just not getting each other, and they both end up lashing out at each other in frustration-- Rosa with physical grabs and slaps, and Luisa verbally.

Last night I was contemplating the complex character of Rubio. I think both the writers and the actor are doing an excellent job with his character. Rubio is a viewer within the story, seeing all that goes on, and his reactions (and advice to the other characters) show he has a sense of right and wrong, and he can be moved to stand up for things. At the same time, he is capable of evil, and will do whatever benefits him. His mixed expression of calculation and moral evaluation is intriguing, as is his cringing ambition.
I’m curious to see if he ends up being redeemed at the end (as he has some redeeming qualities) or ends up evil.

Steve, if I've given the impression I don't like Rosa, I actually do. She usually has good perspective and intuition (Danilo being the perfect example).
I do not like the way she treats Luisa though for the reasons Vivi noted. I know she loves Luisa but the verbal jousting she and Luisa engage in hurts them both.
I have high hopes that they will develop and cultivate the loving, mutually respectful relationship they both deserve. I fervently believe Arturo might be the catalyst that helps them achieve that.

However, once she arrived, I think Acacia mishandled just about every word and action about as poorly as possible.
I think Ulises and Acacia should have come together when she arrived, presented a united front and agreed to discuss things later. By openly bickering, they fueled Este's fire and gave the conniving Nuria the opportunity she'd been waiting for. And deciding to break up then and there, was a rash move fueled by too much alcohol and was yet just (another) bad decision by both that night.

Diana and Mads- I agree that Uli had some fault for how things turned out that evening, and that Acacia was late for a very valid reason. But I don't think Uli could have avoided Nuria being chosen by the MP for the stone laying (Uli asked Carmen and she said no), anymore than Acacia could have avoided the circumstances that led to her being late (long surgery, missing shoes, traffic). It was not a case of one or the other being right. Neither was in the wrong, initially. But this is a case so often common in life, where someone has to give in order to make peace. In this case, Uli had move emotional investment riding on this event. It was HIS evening. Acacia should have been big enough to diffuse the situation and try to salvage the evening for Uli. Just like he totally supported her in going off to see Cris and Este on their honeymoon, when he wanted her at his awards ceremony. He understand how much she needed to make that trip at that time. Acacia knows how hard Uli had been working for that moment. It was up to her to bend, make amends, and keep things moving.
Vivi..the more I Read your insightful comments, the more I think that you have missed your calling as a therapist/life coach. You always give solid advice to our crazy characters...susanlynn, trying to avoid disappearing

Arturo and Luisa have great chemistry, and he knows just when to eavesdrop and just when it’s time to interrupt a heated conversation. Hope Luisa wakes up soon.
I give Ulises a break on how he handled the evening because there's been about 3-4 previous times when Acacia went ballistic on him for little reason and he was patient and forgiving with her. He's due a little consideration from her. He just needs to prove he didn’t boink Nuria. But Nuria seems like the type to lie that they did.
Good going, Juliana. Let Norberto know that your former painter lover is now a doctor and then tell German not to tell him the name of Andres the Doctor. Certainly nothing will slip up to cause Norberto to figure out the truth.
I do like that Luisa realized Rosa was lying about Manuel saying a servant was beneath him. Manuel has many faults, but rejecting Luisa simply because she’s a servant isn’t one of them.

I don't think Andres will fall for Juliana again. I think he's smarter than that. Unfortunately Manuel inherited his parents arrogance. I'm so glad German is not like them.
