Mi Corazón es Tuyo Lunes 10/13/14 #61
Labels: mcet
Some good parts:
Fanny going with her gut and giving old Enrique the heave ho and then telling Ana about her feelings.
Yolanda falling asleep on Isabela still in the middle of her tirade.
Fernando moving to Diego's old room to get away from Isabela. Let us hope a more formal distancing like a divorce just might become more palatable to Fernando

Fanny is showing excellent judgement with Enrique--a refreshing change.
Yay!! Yomama as Ana's mama was a red herring! This non-relation thrills me. However, the brujas definitely cross into major karmageddon (love the word) territory if they use this fake relation to their advantage and Ana's detriment. Zeus, get your lightning bolt ready . . .
And I think they may be on to something with Yomama. How deeply she falls into hurting Ana with the fake mother game will be telling. From the previews it seems she is giving it her all and for that, both these brujas will need to pay. There is no humor there. But do so glad Ana is not related, but lord, how hurt she will be. I want a swift resolve to that and hope it's Isa's downfall.
Fernando was cute with the kids, though let's hope HE cleaned up the mess. Walking out on her highness was a nice moment. She is losing the war. Only worry for me, if she knows she can't push Fer around anymore, where does that leave her? How drastic will she get in wanting Ana taken down? I'm not so worked up by the financials...if Fer was a savvy business man, he should have money put aside she can't get to. I don't think the family would be destitute.
Thrilled about Fanny: not only pushing Eeky away at the party but fessing up to Ana. That whole plot line had me concerned so thanks to the writers for not going where we thought they might go. Smart girl. Now I wish Nando had better insight. I feel for Ximena, though the way they are portraying her "bi-polar" just seems off to me, but I still don't like her with our be-speckled young dude.
Saw pics of a celebration on set and Pablo was front and center. So hoping all the mish-mash about him being out was rumor only. Haven't heard a peep about any of that anymore, so I'm now enjoying the Diego/Ana scenes. Even with Fer loosening up, I still like these two together more.
Lord, Johny is aggravating. His plot lines are a total waste of time.

As for what the truth is I think that Yolanda knew Ana's mother. Maybe they're even related in some way. But if Yolanda does actually participate in this gaslighting of Ana she's doomed. Her ridiculous pursuit of Bruno doesn't jive with the insecure snobbery she passed down to Isabela so I have to wonder if there's an Alzheimer's story coming up.
We weren't privy to the amount of Isabruja's debt that Fernando paid off. Here's hoping that it didn't deplete his liquid assets. Also, what happened to her apartment? Did she own it or was it a rental? If she owned it did she put it on the market, rent it out, or neither? If the latter, she's an idiot.
I can't imagine her living on the hacienda, which has to be making some money.
Since Fernando wasn't boinking Isabitch, making it official by moving to Diego's old room makes total sense and is also making a statement. The food fight with the kids might be his unconscious declaration of divorce; I wonder how aware he is of Isabitch's hatred of his children.

two little things...
when Ana and Fanny talked Ana asked about Leo and then said 'just one thing dear, if you give it enough time he might 'fly away'' and then you would lose him... to which Fanny responded that if she lost him then their love was not strong enough..
and what Sebas said about Fernando as he head up the stairs was stte of 'now i know where i get my love for dancing from'... (this is why Fer was smiling and then took a few dance steps on his own...)
LOVED LOVED the flour scene at the kitchen, and i thought the same as you, UA, how many tried they had before the 'first one' came out given the amount of eggs they had gone through... Brianna asked Alicia how come his dad has changed so much, and Alicia said stte of 'i guess we would need to blame Ana for that'.
and about the previews... you don't wanna know... it is the brujas plan in progress while Fernando keeps having fun with the kids on Ana's day off.
Which would be very stupid, indeed.
As a side note, Isabruja knows nothing about children. If she had expressed any curiosity about this and willingness to learn she wouldn't be such a bitch. But, then we wouldn't have a story, either. I know nothing of taking care of very small children (as in younger than Luz) because I never had to assume any responsibility for any when I was growing up. As an "only" Isabruja would have also had limited opportunity to learn any of this. But we also have to wonder what Yolanda was like when she was growing up.
We may never know, either.
as for the moving to Diego's room, i am not so sure it is a long term change... but certainly between that and the making pancakes in the morning, he is certainly making it clear that his priority is the kids and not Isa... I would not be surprised Isa went to 'meet the girls for coffee' again...
At least Ana learned that Fernando was the one that came with the idea of Alicia changing the dress because he wanted to give her the credit, and also that Fernando said she was 'exceptional' (uniquely special) and that she had changed ALL their lives.
-- He gave her a credit card and she complained about the spending limit.
-- He lectured the kids on showing respect even if they had to fake it. He punished the twins for their pranks with the plastic spider and the blue paint.
-- He allowed himself to be steamrolled when Yolanda moved in uninvited. He should have fought that until they discussed it; instead he gave her a luxurious room and allowed her to furnish it at his expense.
-- He had Ana move out at night, which turned out to have consequences (even if it was a trick on Luz's part, which he doesn't realize).
-- He didn't fight with her at the party when she insisted on Ana being excluded from a family photo.
The only things that would satisfy Isabruja:
-- Fernando having unlimited money for her to spend in any way that suits her ego
-- Fernando's children to disappear completely (by whatever means possible, including death).
-- Fernando being madly in love with her (which Eros did not decree and cannot be dictated by her).
I'm sure there are a few other impossibles to add to that list.
Thanks so much for another fine recap. I love the title. We certainly have been building up to the ball and now, on to the next crisis and plenty are abrewing.
I think we really don't yet know about Yolanda's relationship to Ana. She looks so guilty when the topic comes up and there has definitely been a bit of sobering up on her part lately. I am going to take her for her word for the moment and watch in horror as the brujas try to decieve Ana. Fortunately we have Diego the Detective at work at the same time.
There is still the matter of Fernando finding out about Ana's night job. Can't imagine that he would care after all is said and done but it will cause some drama.
Is there anything that happens in this family that the entire crew DOESN'T know? Fernando begins to talk about the surragacy right in front of the kids. Boundaries, anyone???
Jarifa
I don't think Isabela wants Fernando to love her. She says she does, but I don't think she really does. She wants Fernando to kiss and blow smoke up her @$$. She doesn't like anything about Fernando. She doesn't like his kids, doesn't like his ways and I don't think she really likes him as a person and never did.
Isabela's father probably blew smoke up Isabela's @$$ all her life. Yolanda probably taught Isabela to hate poor lower class people to hide the fact that she's from that background herself. They always say the most royal of the royal family members are not the ones who were born into the royal family, but the ones who married into it.
I didn't believe Yomama was Ana's mama and glad she is not but how clever Isabela is to use that to her advantage.
Reina as a rebound for Leon right when Fanny seemed non pulsed with Ana about losing him.
How angry Fernando was when Diego came to pick up Ana, especially when Diego gave Fernando a bro smack on the stomach on the way out, thought he was gonna blow but no one saw.
I'm still very nervous about the Ricky come on with Fanny. Yes, she got it, and thankful she told Ana but I don't think she is out of the woods yet. She respects and looks up to the guy and what happens if she thinks Leon is moving on with Reina. Yuck.
Reeky is disgusting.
Isa is Ms. Satan.
And based on the previews,
Yomama is dead to me.
tofie, your comment kind of made me nervous too on Eeky and Fanny. hadn't thought about things from that perspective. Let's hope Leon puts a stop to multi-color hair girl on the romance front.I couldn't even stand watching Eeky getting all close and gropey with Fanny on the dance floor. I really couldn't take anything that even remotely ramps that up.
Daisynjay
SO GLAD Fanny finally picked up what Reeky is putting down and got the heck out of there and talked to Ana about it. Now I wish she would stop respecting Enfrique and thinking he's a good person. Pay attention, Fanny! Remember how rude he's been to Leon? Remember how he coerces you into weird things and probes your personal life? Remember how upset Beatriz was over something involving him? He's not that good a person!
Hissybully is a MONSTER. Even her mother seemed stunned by her total lack of sympathy. Here Yoyo is crying over her dead baby, and Isa is cheering? Yikes. I was hoping that would be the turning point and Yomama would stop enabling her, but alas, it looks like she's going to help make Ana suffer more. I hope the truth comes out quickly. Ana should know better than to trust anything from these two, but since she thinks she has some evidence to confirm it, and she's so desperate to find her mother, she'll be eager to believe without verifying. I hope Diego at least gets a dna test immediately.
I'm sure Isa would sneer not only at the mess in the kitchen, but about Fernando cooking when there should be servants doing that. And also spending time with the kids, because a nanny should do that. She is the worst kind of snob.
So i see a U shape where the top right is Fernando's master across Diego's and probably Nico's, the top left is the young girls and boys room and Ana's, YoMama's, Fanny's and Nando's are in the curve side of the U.
I personally choose Poverty and Homelessness for both of them.
Thanks again for a delightfully told recap. The "Dirty Dancing" reference brought back wonderful memories for me.
I especially liked Diego the Detective!
And well done to the writers in misleading me about Yolanda's motherhood (at least for the moment anyway). I'm weakly holding out hope for a reverse double cross by the cagey Yolanda (she does wear cherry red nail polish).
Good for Fanny. She seemed truly iked by Enrique. But I don't see him giving up easily and can even picture him becoming violent after watching his scenes with daddy.
All the previous talk about the writers bumping off Diego has me getting nervous every time he hops on his cycle.
Where have we seen Reina before? I think that she is cute as a bug.
Carlos
He seems clueless about her feelings, though, and I think he still has it bad for Fanny.

The US doesn't have such a great track record either, but that's another topic for another forum.
