Recap will be up tomorrow.

Grief and Relief As Anvils Hover In the Wings...Part 1
Acacia and Este stand too closely together and while they break apart briefly, Acacia is back within moments to give him (yet another) hug. Acacia trips over Uli’s necklace, to Este’s consternation and he gallops off in anger. Incapable of leaving well enough alone, Acacia follows Este and cries how hard Uli’s loss is for her. As he dries her tear she inexplicably gives him Uli’s cross. We can only hope it burns his hand and sears his brain with guilt.
Juliana cries for German, Andres but mostly for herself. Juliana interrupts Chris and Ale and tells them about the accident. Ale is grief stricken and asks if he is dead. Juli responds to her agony by screaming at her. Ale breaks down inconsolably but her grief quickly turns to anger. “Maldito” she mutters, her face echoing her fury. Este and Acacia arrive as Juliana spews venom about Ale.
Rubio visits the cute shopkeeper. She’s garnering quite a fan base. Repulsive henchman shows up and Uli is mentioned.
Ale bursts into Danilo’s like a raging warrior, throwing Perla out of her way and later choking her with a vehemence we don’t expect, yet cheer. Unfortunately, Danilo is not home and unable to be recipient of her wrath. She later visits German’s where she caresses his paintings and softly utters his name in desperate pain. And then, wonder of wonders, the door opens and German magically appears. You are alive she cries as she flies into his arms. Yearning, wild kisses ensue and they renew their love with flaming passion. Ale retreats almost immediately thereafter mentioning Danilo and German is understandably angry but chooses very unfortunate words, calling her a prostitute and tell her to leave. Even so, Ale can’t help but smile with happiness outside the door, muttering that he is alive.

Later, there is a huge welcoming gathering with German and his family and Este and his. Rosa eyes Manuel and Luisa suspiciously. Ale peers around the corner watching as he starts giving a speech (can someone fill in here, I think it was about starting his life over?). Ale leaves unseen.

Our captives are eating their inadequate fare quietly. Uli’s friend quietly points out something in the sandwich which due to things that transpire later, I believe to be a knife.

While German was experiencing his agony (after all too brief ecstacy), his family is unaware that he is alive and well.

Rosa comforts Luisa and mentioning Juliana, reveals how heartbreaking it is to lose a child.

Part 2

Norberto is at police headquarters, desperate, angry, scared and impatient for information. Manuel and Este arrive, and Acacia enfolds a (truly) distraught Manuel in her arms. He emotes German is his brother, his friend. There is nothing false in his expression. Este watches the drama unfold across the room. When German calls Norberto, he is overcome with relief, as is Manuel. Este celebrates with his usual non expression.

Andres overhears Carmen on the phone, I believe she is losing her house. Andres reassures her (please fill in what his solution is)….

The unholy triumvirate – Memo, Rubio and creepy henchmen are drinking heavily when Danilo shows up to sour the festivities. He hits the henchmen and tosses the table, throwing the food on the floor. Rubio is either too inebriated or stupid (or both) not to leave. Rubio continues to pour overflowing drinks. I can’t quite make out their conversation but Uli was definitely mentioned. (Aside: the actors are splendid and Fabian Robles holds his own with the incomparable Alberto Estrella. A difficult feat I well imagine. Sorry I digress)…

With their captors drunk and sloppy, Uli puts a knife to loathsome guy’s throat, Memo points his gun but drops it as Uli starts cutting the guy’s throat. Memo lies on the concrete floor. Uli, the girl and another man arrive at the office. They want to call the police but the secretary tells them the phone doesn’t work. They leave loathsome guy tied in the office. Memo awakes with a headache and arms himself with a shovel as he stumbles up the steps. He frees loathsome guy. The escapees make a run for it but their luck is short lived. Loathsome guy shoots the man escaping with Uli and Uli shoots in return. Unfortunately, Uli runs out of ammunition and the man shoots Uli, not once but twice. He and the girl run only a short distance. Uli tells the girl she must find Acacia.

With our hearts in our throats, Uli gasps for air and then appears to stop breathing all together. It appears the wound may be fatal.

Some repetitive scenes are mixed with the new and are condensed and not necessarily in order. There were a few brief scenes I omitted only as I did not comprehend the dialog.

Diana

Gloria, I am really looking foward to your recap.

I've been taking notes just in case you haven't been able to recap. As I had already finished this when I saw you would be posting your recap, I thought I would just go ahead and post it.

I am curious as to what everyone thinks about Uli. Is he or is he not dead?

Diana

Thanks Gloria. I was so happy German not dead. I know everyone shares the joy. He is so wonderful, Juliana dismissed the capitaz's death with total insignificance. German in the middle if the celebratory toast that he was alive, said he felt bad for Avellino's demise and that they should accompany his family who were dealing with his death and funeral. It gonna be long weekend. The avances show Chris finding her husband and her daughter cozy and hugging each other. She sounded pretty stern asking what they were doing. I hope writers arent messing with us, and Este talks his way out and she becomes her too trusting self declaring her happiness once again that Este and Aca get along so well. I dont think Uly dies during escape, but it sure looks like he did??
I am puzzled, how exactly is Rubio so sure he will be next patron? Is that why he encourages Este to be with Aca, so he can pursue Chris?? I don't believe that will ever happen, so whats his game plan?

Gracias Diana for the recap. When I saw Gloria place post for comments, there werent ant comments. By the time I finished my comment, there were already 4 postings including your recap. Wow, thank you, you gotta know I enjoyed reading before I go to sleep, dont need to stay up. i believe you got most of it, I had already mentioned some of what German said during toast that he was alive, but You are right he was still stinging from passionate lovemaking and then getting rejected again. He said that in life things arent always what they appear, I got impression he is definitely done with Ale. I will not comment about Este and Acacia. I will say that Uly should not have given her his fathers necklace that his dad had given him on his deathbed during agonizing death. It has been disrespected and not valued, I dont believe that was right, Arturo deserves it more. Look where it ended up with Este. Tsk tsk tsk

Btw Diana your recapping skills get better each time. Nice descriptions of people like" loathesome" and Lizzie fan base. You also captured Norberto's anguish perfectly. It reads so well, I enjoy reading more than once. Gracias!

Novella lover, thank you for your kind words and for filling in some important details I missed.

Rubio thinks he will be the next patron? I am mystified. How on earth does he think that will happen? And, what about Luisa? She can't be part of the equation. Is he like another Manuel deep down, thinking she will be a mistress, never a wife?

I also appreciate your noting what German said. He does seem serious and perhaps Ale's dismissal was the final straw.

And I had forgotten the necklace was a deathbed gift from Uli's father. Your "It hass been disrespected and not valued, I dont believe that was right, Arturo deserves it more. Look where it ended up with Este. Tsk tsk tsk" said it all. Perfectly.

Diana

Thanks so much, DIana. I am watching the episode right now. Okay, German survived , but did Uli ? Este is useless and selfish and obsessed. Blleecchh

Thanks so much , DIana. My comments are still disappearing. Live, Uly, live. Wake up , Estebot.

I just saw my sister and nephew off for their long drive back to Atlana, so I'm wide awake. :( What an absolute treat to find another marvelous mini recap from Diana, and to know that we'll also soon have a deliciously detailed recap from Gloria. Thanks so much Diana! And thanks in advance Gloria!

Juliana's lack of empathy for another mother's anguish (Carmen) and lack of sympathy for the family of their deceased capataz is astonishing, given how she demands everyone's attention and sympathy when it's about her grief.

I think German is now officially done with Ale. He made that clear in his speech, and it was symbolized nicely with the view of Ale's back retreating into the shadows as they all toasted to German. I think Ale has resigned herself to her Danilo fate, as long as her beloved German stays alive. And Lizzy/Litzy is eagerly awaiting her date with German. :(

But those brief moments when Ale became an avenging fury, and then she and German had their amazingly passionate reunion were sweet. *sigh*

Would the Telenovela Gods spare one young galan (German) only to sacrifice another (Ulises)? Could they really be that cruel?

Gloria- If you read this, could you delete the last comment from yesterday's post. I think someone has posted a spoiler from the Mexican final episodes.

For any of you watching ahead/watching with Mexico, this blog follows the US episodes. Please do not post any spoilers of things to come here. It is fine to speculate on things you really have no certainty about. It's great to have conversations about character motivations and actions (even if you've watched ahead, you can speak to what is happening in the moment). But do not spoil it for the rest of us who want a few surprises.

Thanks so much for this Diana.

Vivi,
"I think German is now officially done with Ale. :("

Favorite scene for me too, her back retreating into the shadows

Vivi, I hope you had a wondrful visit and you are gaining strength and feeling better.

I agree with tofie that your comment on Ale "retreating into the shadows" was lovely. But I am afraid that Ale has amazingly convinced everyone and anyone who could help her into believing her assertions she will be with Danilo. What if any hope is left...

I really want to believe Uli has a chance but it will be a miracle if he survives.

I'm eagerly awaiting Gloria's recap.

Diana

Diana – Thanks for the highlights to get us started. My favorite: As he dries her tear she inexplicably gives him Uli’s cross. We can only hope it burns his hand and sears his brain with guilt.

Gloria – Looking forward to your recap with all its delicious and bitter details.

I too am ticked off about how doofus Acacia is to give Uli’s necklace, handed down from his father, to Esteban. Even if Uli were the cheating fraud, why not return the necklace to his distraught family? Acacia knows that Carmen and Arturo are good people, but she’s made no attempt to at least tell them she’s not blaming them for what (she thinks) Uli did.

I’m sure Uli is alive. Cause we definitely need something to make Este go apopletic.

On Rubio, I believe his love for Luisa is true and that he would marry her. He knows his boss is smart but terribly vulnerable with his stepdaughter obsession and thinks he can play this to get favors from Este to acquire wealth himself.

Thanks for the summary Diana.

This episode was heart wrenching. Unfortunately for now my favorite couple of this TN is done, but I'm sure they will be together in the end. It's now truly the beginning of a long road for them to get to their happy ending. It was sad to hear German utter that dreaded word. But Ale made the ultimate sacrifice to keep German safe and that to me is true love.

I too think Ulises is alive. I think it's only right that he needs to be alive to find out what's truly going on with Acacia.

Did I hear right that whatshisname knew that German wasn't with Avelino when the car exploded?

I shook my head and laughed at the avance.

I think that Ulises is alive, too. There are still too many unleft things between he and Acacia.
Niecie, I think that Rubio loves Luisa, too, he 's not completely evil
I do have to wonder what he will do with all the information that he has on Este. For now he might as well keep El Patron's secrets, but what will he do if Este ever loses his position of power?

Niecie, "I’m sure Uli is alive. Cause we definitely need something to make Este go apopletic". Your reasoning makes perfect sense! ;)

So now you, TF and Adriana Noel have agreed that Uli is alive. I hope you are all right, I am still sticking with my gut instinct which says he is dead. I totally agree that he and Acacia have unfinished business, but I think there needs to be a catalyst to push Acacia into Esteban's arms and if he is indeed dead, this would be it.

As far as Rubio, it is said that the love of a good woman can make or break a man, there is a chance for Rubio's salvation. But on the off chance that were to happen, we are fairly certain it won't be Luisa.

Diana

Diana,

You know what? Now that I think about it. I want Ulises to be alive to go teach Acacia a lesson about trust. She obviously assumes he's with Nuria and Esteban is fueling her suspicions by telling her things. Even though she told Ulises she was going to trust him, she's not doing so. She should consider that if he hasn't gotten I touch with her then maybe something is wrong. But unfortunately she cannot see that.

Oh Diana you're blowing me away.
Just in these last couple of days
first with La Diva next with Lila and now you. I don't have enough money to be buying autographed books from every one but you guys should be selling them.
Diana, here are some examples----
#1- She inexplicably gives him Uli's cross. We and only hope it burns his hand and sears his brain with guilt.
#2 - Ale bursts into Danilo's like a raging warrior.
#3 - Ale later is choking Perla with a vehemence we didn't expect, yet cheer.
#4 - She softly utters his name in desperate pain.
#5 - Wild kisses ensue and they renew their love with flaming passion.
#6 - Este celebrates with his usual non expression.
#7 - Rubio is either to inebriated
or stupid [or both] not to leave.

Diana this is stuff novelas are made of and that goes for Lila and Diva over the last few days also.

Is Ulises dead? Now that's a real question. Last night I said OH NO!
It sure looks like it but I am not a doctor. Are the writers playing with us? Will they let the show go on with Acacia thinking bad of him or will the captured and abused girl escape and tell the truth about Ulises?
If this is the way it is set up, then he probably is dead. But---if
somehow he survives, comes back and makes Estebone eat crow, well that would be perfect. Also if he makes it back alive he would be a big aid to the police. Then again, Memo was never unmasked only the henchie. So is he alive?
I don't know. It could go either
way. At this point I would say it's 50/50 it could go either way.

Adriana Noel---You say Rubio is not completely evil. He sold Alejandra to the devil and Alejandra isn't my favorite but she is a human being and Rubio sold her out. He is evil. Rubio would sell his own mother for a few dollars. He's both despicable and disgusting. Yes, he belongs in
the evil camp. He's not the devil
he's just one of the devil's helpers. A little guy but still in the evil category.
the gringo

Yes TF, she gave up on him too quickly. He has never even been tempted. She however, has been very provacative with Este, would she approve of Nuria or any other woman body hugging Uly, feeding him, prancing around in neglige??? Yet she has done all these things even before he disappeared. If Uly alive it will be hard fir me to see him begging her,

Wonderful Diana. I don't think I need to do one now since you did one. Thanks!

big g, Rubio gives me the creeps too.

Acacia ain't no girl scout, she knows what she's doing, whether she goes through with anything or not. Must be amusing watching Esteban chase his tail.

Novella lover,

You're right. Ulises hasn't actually done anything that could be seen as unfaithful to Acacia, but she has. Even her thinking about Esteban is inappropriate.

I forgot to mention in my first comment that when Esteban and Acacia joined Norbie and Manolo at the police station that Esteban discreetly gave a dirty look to Acacia and Manolo when they were hugging.

Yes, I noticed the jealous look from Estebone. I also like the symbolism of Ale's back fading. She was still so happy that he was alive, that there is no price too high for her to pay, as long as he is alive and well. Very unselfish young woman. Hmmmm. i wonder if there is any possibility of her getting pregnant? It was totally unplanned sharing of their love.

Gloria, I am so glad that I was able to help out a bit. It takes a village (in my case) and I am so fortunate others are filling in the information I missed.

gringo, you are so very kind. I have to say this is one of my favorite TNs, and like you, I can't wait to see the next episode!

"Are the writers playing with us?" An excellent question to which I reply absolutely! And really, would we want it any other way?? While my mind says Uli is dead, my heart wants him to return to "steal" Acacia back from Esteban.

And I agree that Acacia has made some mistakes and acted inappropriately but hasn't done anything unforgiveable. Yet.

Este's silence about Uli is not forgiveable. Cris is the queen and not a consolation prize. Whatever does or doesn't happen, I want her to kick Este to the curb and sail off with Hector.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments today. Everyone added something interesting. 46 hours until the next episode. Sigh...

Diana

Yes, Novella Lover. I liked the symbolism too. Like I said after the first time Ale and German "did it", I hope she doesn't end up pregnant and I will say that again especially now that Ale is for sure going back with DanEvil.

Diana---Yesterday you said that Julie's problem is that her character is unlikeable, she is rude, condescending and an outright snob. I say to that, true, true and true. Ok, but couldn't they/Televisa have gotten
someone a little less pretty? I know she is all of the thing above
why does she have to be so beautiful? I want the rude, condescending snob not to look so good.

Oh my gosh, poor German. He must be half out of his mind or he might be thinking that he fell in love with someone that has a couple of screws loose. I mean they were so in love and then Ale started acting funny--why?? I don't know. Then she loves me again, then she says that she loves El Diablo, then she loves me again then she says it's over.
QUE?? What's going on here? Did I hook up with a loony tune? If I was in his shoes, I don't know what I would do.

So we are only about half way done
Are we going to be shown a tortured Alejandra for the next month and a half under the sheets with DevilDan? PLEASE NO!

I don't know how the farmers in El Soto get any of their crops to grow with any sunlight. The sun hasn't shined there in weeks.

Looks like worthless Manuel is starting to move in on Acacia. I wonder if Estebone will go off on him like he did with Ulises?

Think about this La Malquerida peeps---Manuel did almost nothing
work wise on the rancho. He said that he just didn't like ranching so German did most all of the work at the homestead rancho. Now that he's chasing Acacia, he thinks that he should get a job. I know, I'll run a video parlor in the new mall. Wasn't that it?
Manuel, how long are you going to be in business? People play games on their computers and smart phones? Dumb rich kid. Your parents are already in debt. How long will they be able to support a failing business?

Yes Diane, I'm counting the hours.
Some years back there was a movie called "Bad Day at Black Rock." I can't wait to get back to "Bad Day at El Soto."

I hope the captured young lady can make it out--all the way out.
I cringe thinking about the evil start up cartel.
the gringo

Very good recap, Diana.

A lot of you are wondering if Uli is alive. As novelas go, I believe he is alive. But I'm wondering if Acacia's lack of faith and trust in him will keep them together if he finds out she felt he betrayed her. However, I've never seen a novela where the main loving couples don't end up together. Am I wrong in assuming this?

Ann-NYC

gringo, I am also hoping that the woman with Uli gets to safety.

One of the many things I like about Nora Salinas is her chameleon quality - she can really change her appearance. She is indeed quite beautiful here which I think is a good contrast to her evil nature. Beautiful on the outside. The inside - not so much.

Ann, I think there have been exceptions to main couples not ending up together. The most notable to me was Querida Enemiga where Lorena did not end up with the lead galan (beyond handsome Soto) but ended up with the galan in waiting (the charming Jorge Aravena).

Although German and Ale aren't the lead couple here, they are first in my heart so am keeping the faith they will be together in the end. gringo, I refuse to believe Ale will actually marry Danilo.

Because of his silent treachery in not speaking up about Uli, Este lost his galan status some time ago.

Diana

I think that Estenot's ungalanlike behavior has doomed him, and he can only be redeemed by sacrificing himself to save someone..maybe Chris. I want Hector for Chris.

gringo..teehee..You do like the pretty girls, but as my mother told me ..pretty is as pretty does.

So..now, after German and Ale's quick bliss, Ale will be pregnant, right ?

Manuel is a spoiled, wimp and took full advantage of the situation gettin in all those faux brotherly hugs from Acacia. While it was entertaining watching Esteban squirm, the display made me uncomfortable.

The poor girl with Uli, if he in fact dead, will try and fulfill a dying man's wish but what happens to thwart telling Acacia? Memo knows her, does she show up and bump into Esteban first? That girl needs a break.

Well,my daughter and her family flew home last night, so I am spending today relaxing, doing some laundry, and catching up on the comments. I hope Uly survived.

Hi there, tofie..I would love to see one of your one liner lists for these folks.

Gloria- No worries if you can’t do a full recap. Diana totally rocked the mini-recap. How can anyone top these words to describe the brief Ale-German reunion? “You are alive she cries as she flies into his arms. Yearning, wild kisses ensue and they renew their love with flaming passion.”

I’ve dusted off the laptop, so here goes a long comment. ITA with those believing Uli will live, because there is just too much unfinished business with Acacia, and I think Uli deserves to eventually be able to confront Este, Dan, and Rubio for the kidnapping, and have some sort of justice for what Nuria did. He deserves to live!

However, based on the way Acacia’s behaved towards Uli, and if she lets this thing progress with Estebone, then I would be perfectly fine if the writers do NOT pair her with Uli at the end. Ann-NYC—Uli and Acacia, and Cris and Este are two of the main couples I would not mind at all seeing broken up by the end. Acacia doesn’t deserve Uli, and Este doesn’t deserve Cris.

I really want German and Ale together by the end, but tns have many times made a character a sacrificial lamb. Oftentimes a “fallen woman” with a heart of gold. I’m afraid Ale will fall into this category. I’m hoping the writers buck convention and give the former prostitute a happy ending.

As for German using that unfortunate word, which was like a punch to Ale’s face when he was describing what he perceives to be Ale’s behavior, I forgive him for it. Their latest encounter has convinced him that she does indeed love him. So the only thing he can conclude, and he said this to her, is that she’s choosing Dan’s money over his (German’s) love—prostituting herself. I am sure he will regret these words deeply when he eventually finds out the truth.

Susanlynn- I really, really hope this second Ale-German tryst does not result in pregnancy. Dan would never let that baby live.

Vivi..Maybe Ale will convince nasty Damndan that the baby is his.

In my perfect ending, German and Ale would be together. The other couples would not. Chris , Uly, and Arturo are good people who deserve people who appreciate them.

Oh Vivi, I completely agree that Cris and Uli deserve so much more! And while I am hoping Uli lives, I thought he was/is the "sacrificial lamb" as you so insightfully put it.

I will be crushed if Ale doesn't survive and have a happy ending. She has had too terrible a journey already.

Susanlynn, I think if she is pregnant yes, she will be able to convince Dan the child is his.

One other thing that has nothing to back it up. I can't see German with anyone other than Ale. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Vivi, things are always a brighter when we have your astute, amazing eye for detail comments.

Diana

Talking about stomping on German's heart if she is preggers and convinces Dandy Dan the child his. I hope she isn't so the poor guy at least has a chance of a normal life.

After German came back, Juliana swore to Cris that she will tell German's bio-dad about German right away. Apparently German's near brush with death, has made her realize she better hop on her new gravy train immediately.

Her lender called Carmen about the overdue mortgage payment. (Leading us to believe that she used her income to pay Uli's rent instead.) She begged the lender to give her some more time and to meet with her. We didn't hear the other side of the call, but it didn't sound good. But she STILL refused Andres' financial help. (GIRL, STOP!) She just wants his love and support. (Total contrast to Juliana.) Andres has plenty of love to offer, but he also offered his home if Carmen wants/needs to live with him.

Diana- That Lizzy/shop girl sure is excited about her date with German...

Telenovelas are all about good people dealing with bad people. In novelas, the good people usually prevail and the bad receive anvils....unlike real life.

I am very anxious to see Damdanms anvil It better be a HUGE one..perhaps delivered by Perla or Norb.

Towards the end of today's political they took a few minutes off subject to talk about a man that has dedicated his life to helping to stop child sex slavery.
I don't remember his name but he was posing as a wealthy tourist visiting Columbia. When he got there the word got out about someone with money. He was contacted and welcomed to Columbia
later he was offered anything that he wanted, Art, drugs, women,
young girls---anything. He chose to go for the young girls. A meeting was arranged and about a dozen ten and eleven year old girls were brought to him, some were crying. He paid $26,000 and after the exchange was made, the policia moved in and captured them all. Good work this time but there are hundreds more that don't get caught. I thought of Alexandra being sold to Danilo at thirteen. These girls were even younger but the same method of operation was in motion. The disciples of satan go to a poor and uneducated family or mother, they pretend to care and want to help. Give us your daughter, we will find work for her or pay for schooling. Just let us take care of her and we will send you money. The answer is often yes and the parent/parents never see their child/children again. After living half of your life under these conditions, many just give up and except it as their fate . Perla is La Malquerida's example of this. Those evil sex traffickers should all be lined up and shot. The world doesn't need this evil.
the gringo

Political Sunday morning's tv broadcast.
I should proofread before posting.
the gringo

Gringo- How I wish that this human trafficking/sex trade story were just tn fiction. Unfortunately, it is a real horror that countless women and children (mostly) experience in almost every corner of the globe every day. I can't wait for Danilo and his henchies get what's conning to them, because I know the writers can't deny us that satisfaction. The difference between fiction and real life.

Coming not conning.

Hee hee, regarding what Gringo said about Manuel, best idea he could come up with to be a suitable man for the "Patroncita" is a video arcade owner at the mall!! Hilarious, that his parents think it a great idea is even funnier. Ha ha ha. As the blog says "we love to mock here". Manuel suffers from Peter Pan syndrome and Happy Days are here again, cause he will be forever immature. That Luisa doesn't even mind his obvious disdain for her. Esa muchacha!

On a serious note, traffickers are tge scum of the world. It has bothered me for a long time, not just becsuse of the tn, but because it is hard to be oblivious to the hell innocent children and other vulnerable people endure. I plan to get involved somehow at some capacity, more than likely to support those organizations.

gringo, thank you for your heartfelt comment. "Perla is La Malquerida's example of this" was spot on. How utterly sad. Of the countless atrocities humans commit, human trafficking is surely one of the worst (the young girls abducted several months ago forced to "marry" their captors was beyond horrible). Yes, Novella lover "scum of the earth" is right.

Diana

Vivi, I am also totally frustrated with Carmen. If ever there was a time to put pride aside, this is it.

Novella lover "That Luisa doesn't even mind his obvious disdain for her". Sad and very true. Sigh.

tofie, I'm going out on a limb and say Dan is going to die. I don't know when, I don't know how but (no spoiler), I've never seen a TN villain that deserves life less than he. If Ale is pregnant, I think the baby will end up with German. I'm fervently hoping with Ale as well.

Diana

Diana, I just hate for a child to be born and raised in an environment like Dandy Dan will provide, irrespective of whom provided the fertilization. Why would Ale want that? Protect German or protect the child?

Gringo, my husband & I have been involved with building schools and supporting orphanages in some abysmally poor places and unfortunately what you describe happens every day. Sometimes it is a race to find a place and you never save all.

There is a display depicting the atrocities of sex slavery on the floor that I teach on at the college. It is hard to look at.. Just despicable.

This is a test to see if the new update I just downloaded to my IPad has fixed the original buggy update that messed everything up and made my comments here disappear. We shall see.

Well, my comments are still disappearing..grumble.

Wow, so many heavy comments regarding everyone's feelings about human slavery. I am humbled to read how tofie and others have bern helping already. Susanlynn, I share your heartache, if anything good has come out if this tn is to help me get off the fence and something now!!'

Dandevil has been promising that he will have Ale living like a queen, (she could care less) i do not believe him, I think soon as he gets mad at her, he is liable to beat, cut and even put her to work as prostitute again. He is LIAR!!! He only had to have her because he believes she belongs to him because he paid money for her. Sicko.

Novella lover- Dan does indeed see Ale and all the women in his brothel as HIS property. I think he has a particular obsession with Ale though because he was never really able to break her spirit and make her a prostitute in her heart. She always hung on to hope of something else-- a life with her brother, and after he died, a happy life somewhere else. Unlike the other girls who fawn over him, Ale always barely hid her contempt for him, or showed it openly. She did not develop a co-dependent relationship with him like Perla, Olga, or the other girls. This drives Danilo crazy. It's not really that he wants her in his bed and is driven wild with passion for her in particular. He won't rest until he has made her not just his sex/physical slave, but also his mental/emotional slave.

Can't wait to see how the story moves forward tonight. I hope that Uly is alive and that the girl gets away. I want Este to SNAP OUT OF IT and be a galan instead of an obsessed idiot.

Vivi,

I think you hit the nail on the head with your post about Dan and Ale. I actually watched the finale last night (YouTube was my friend) and I believe Dan's comeuppance was fitting. Although technically he gets his comeuppance in the penultimate episode but it sorta continued into the final episode so I'm sure you'll be eager to find out what it is.

TF- I hope you still watch and comment with us, even though you've seen the end.

I meant to comment the other day that I actually chuckled when after Ale came and left like a fury out of Hades, leaving Perla all shook up, Julianita came in and asked with mouth agape, "Who was that?!" Perla's one word reply, "Turquesa." Since all Julianita knows about Turquesa is that she's the one who was rebellious and who Dan cut, it was like she was seeing an infamous legend and was in awe.

I will Vivi. I'm sure I missed lots of the smaller details of these upcoming episodes even though I might have gotten the big picture of it all.

I almost didn't realize that Julianita doesn't know much about Turquesa. I should've realized that earlier. Obviously she's sorta met Germán and was transfixed by his sexiness, but she has yet to hear the whole story, hasn't she?
