Rubio
gets called into Esteban's office. He wants to know everything about
the local brothel.
Perla and Danilo walk in laughing and looking happy. Julianita is glad to see everything is now well between the two of them. He sends Perla off to let Ale know they have returned. Juanita informs him that Ale behaved all day and just stayed in her room. Ale walks in and he asks if she missed him. She doesn't say a word but her eyes yell out “Hell no!” He says everything went in his favor today. Things are not looking good for Ulises even with German's testimony. Rumor has it that German is very much in love with his new lady. So, I think that if you keep misbehaving, I will have to make you pay.

I find him very affable. I now understand why you two were such good friends. Cris hopes after talking to Hector, everything will return to normal.
Rubio is happy to see that Esteban has returned. He wants to know if she has told him about the baby. Esteban tells him to zip it. Cris doesn't know that I know about it. We see Ulises being lead in handcuffs to the waiting vehicle while Carmen assisted by Arturo run after Ulises. Ulises spots Acacia and tells her that one day he will be out of jail. He is innocent and will prove it.

Perla and Memo have moved their make out session into the living room where Ale walks in and catches them. Perla still chewing her gum asks Ale what is she staring at. I hope you mean it because I will not allow you to get into another fight with Hector replies Cris.
Nuria tells Norberto he lied to her. He promised to get her out and she's still there. Norberto says he will complete his promise but advises her to keep her mouth shut and leaves. He runs into his attorney who tells him that Andres is also pressing charges against him for attempted murder.
Esteban promises that he will not fight Hector. He has changed his ways. Acacia doesn't see a reason for them to confront Hector. Cris doesn't agree and Esteban says they will all go and see him. Cris leaves to get her purse and Acacia asks him if he returned to her mother for love or for the child they are expecting?
German believes with the police report she should be able to obtain a quick divorce. Juliana hopes so because Norberto is uncontrollable. She scared he will hurt her again or lock her up at the house. German assures her that will not happen. He will not allow it and Manuel agrees. Juliana doesn't want them to say anything to her parents. German doesn't agree. Manuel thinks it's best not to say anything. Their grandfather has a bad heart. Juliana says to listen to Manuel. She can't ask her parents for help but is anguished knowing their father will not give her a penny. German doesn't agree. She took care of them and the house all these years. It has to give her alimony. She thinks with all Norberto's connections, he will find a way not to pay alimony. German says she needs to find a way for him to pay her and for her to send him to jail for what he did to her. Manuel doesn't agree. He doesn't want to see his father in jail. Losing our mother will be enough of a punishment. Juliana knows that at the end of the day, Norberto tried to be a good father to German. Even though he behaved badly with me, I am grateful for some things. I just don't want him to get near me. I fear him.
Esteban tells Acacia he returned to her mother for love. Although he can't deny how happy he is to have a child on the way. Acacia asks that he not tell her that she told him about the pregnancy. Also that he swears to devote himself body and soul to her mother. I will says Esteban. That is why I returned. Acacia suggests they treat each other with friendly indifference. JC comes in and understands from Cris they are back together again. He wishes to speak alone with him. Acacia leaves. I warned you that I will not tolerate you hurting my daughter again says JC. So, I want to know why you returned.
German says Norberto deserves to be in jail but will not urge their mother to file a report. Although Andres has already done so. Manuel asks German to convince him to drop the charges. German says he will do what he can. Juliana doesn't think Andres will accept it. Manuel asks if she is staying at his godmother's house? I will be going to San Jaciento for awhile to get away from it all replies Juliana. Elenita offered for me to stay at her house. I can't go stay with your grandparents. I know you don't want to see my father says Manuel but are you really wanting distance or to be closer to Andres? Of course not replies Juliana. Andres if living here and I at this point cannot think of anyone else. I want to be alone for awhile. I have to resolve my issues with your father and try to get alimony. Knowing your father, he will give me the least amount that he can. I don't know what I am going to do. German says they will help her. Juliana asks if he still hasn't forgiven her. German replies that he is working on it.
Esteban tells JC he has no doubts. Try to understand that it was a crisis that can happen to anyone. JC understands but in his day those that had problems never ran away. Esteban says it was necessary for him. He had to have distance but things are now better between them. JC hopes he has thought long and hard over this. Because this is not a game. Come and go whenever you have doubts. Words have no meaning. You must show her through your actions that things will be better. And that will be says Esteban. JC laughs when he realizes that he spoke these same words with Ulises. Isn’t it ironic that you are in the same position he was once in? Yes, but I know what I want says Esteban. I don't like you comparing him to me. I just want you to show my daughter how much you love her replies JC. And that will be says Esteban. JC leaves and Esteban is angry that JC compared him to Uilises.
Cris walks into Acacia's room and asks her if she told Esteban about the pregnancy? Acacia lies and denies she said a word. She doesn't want to think badly but finds it strange that after seeing her at the plant, he suddenly wants to return to her. Acacia says she's always trying to find something wrong. He appears to be sincere. Cris says she's right but is still upset about the Hector business. Acacia reminds her that Esteban told her that there will be no more problems in respect to Hector. I find him very affable. I now understand why you two were such good friends. Cris hopes after talking to Hector, everything will return to normal.
Rubio is happy to see that Esteban has returned. He wants to know if she has told him about the baby. Esteban tells him to zip it. Cris doesn't know that I know about it. So you returned for Acacia asks Rubio. Esteban says the baby is coming for a reason. How is it that I once did everything for Cris. Then Acacia returns and I switch everything over to her. I must suppress this desire and once again offer everything I have/am to Cris. She has always supported me. I was just a poor peon and she fell in love me. She is the most loving woman I know. Sometimes I think it's a punishment this desire I feel for Acacia. How can I throw everything away? But things are going to return to what they once were. Are you cutting business ties with Danilo asks Rubio. Esteban says it will all still go forward. I have to find my own money. I can't depend on anything from the hacienda. Rubio says you never know what life will throw at you. One day you are on top, the next on the ground.
Acacia tells Cris that her relationship with Esteban cannot be the same as it once was. She is happy that Cris is content in her relationship again but she still resents him for what he did to her. Cris understands and but even though he has returned, she is still not sure about the relationship. She can't explain it. It's not experience in life that mark you. You will understand once everything is finally done with Ulises. Acacia thinks they should live day to day. Esteban has returned because he loves her. Don't worry about me. Take care of yourself and my brother.
Carmen promises to find a way to live in San Jaciento again so that she can visit him in jail everyday. Ulises doesn't want her to wrap her life around visiting him daily. Carmen cannot leave him alone. Arturo says with his regular job and his side business with Luisa, things will get better for them. He just wants Ulises to have faith that he will one day get out. Ulises nods and says how happy he was for so many to come and testify in his favor. You thought German wasn’t by my side and you see you were wrong he tells Carmen. And Luisa. We are not alone. What do you think of Hector? I think of him as an angel replies Carmen. You have always been a strong woman says Arturo. You raises us alone and now is not the time to grow weak. The guards come to take Ulises away. Carmen begs them not to. They handcuff him and Carmen hugs her son. The guard tries to pull her away but she doesn't let them. Finally Arturo pulls her away and the guards lead him out of the cell. Arturo goes to his brother and gives him a hug. He promises to get him out soon.
Cris, Esteban and Acacia are walking down the street when they hear Carmen calling out for her son. We see Ulises being lead in handcuffs to the waiting vehicle while Carmen assisted by Arturo run after Ulises. Ulises spots Acacia and tells her that one day he will be out of jail. He is innocent and will prove it.
Norberto tells the attorney he doesn't want to give Juliana a divorce. There is nothing they can do replies the attorney. The abuse you inflicted on her is enough for her to get it. He hands over a document which shows how much he has to give her in alimony. Norberto tells him to find a way because he doesn’t plan on giving her a penny or a divorce. The problem is that the medical doctor collaborated the abuse. Then I will say she was unfaithful replies Norberto. I found her in that hotel room with him but I don't have proof. Exactly says the attorney.
Acacia tries to go to Ulises but Cris hold her back. Carmen calls Acacia a disgrace. How can you do this to my son? Cris tells her not to talk to her daughter that way. Carmen asks if they are happy in sending an innocent man to jail. She tells Acacia she will be sorry in not believing her son and turning her back on her son. Cris again tells Carmen not to talk to her daughter that way. If anything, her son made her daughter suffer. Arturo tells Carmen not to keep fighting. It isn't worth it. The car takes Ulises away and Carmen cries. Esteban tells Acacia not to worry. They never have to see them again. He tries to hug her but she turns to her mother for comfort instead.
Danilo tells Perla to watch his woman because he's leaving to meet up with Johnny. They need to make plans for the planting of the seeds for more merchandise. So soon asks Perla. They took Ulises away so we shouldn't have any problems now. Ulises could still talk says Perla. Danilo spoke with some people and that situation will be taken care of. So your going to kill Ulises asks Perla. Yes and that woman who defrauded you replies Danilo.
Esteban, Cris and Acacia arrive for their visit with Hector. He is surprised in seeing them all. He thought it was only with Cris. Cris wants to clear things all up. Esteban says they all came to talk so they can clarify everything. Cris tells Hector that she and Esteban are back together again. Hector is pleased to hear it. He never wanted to cause any problems between them. Esteban understands that Hector loves Cris and he couldn't allow him to get close to her. Cris says they can no longer be friends and Hector understands but doesn't want to end on bad terms. That's why we are here says Esteban. Talking calmly and civilly. We need to close this chapter. Acacia has a confession to make. Lizi is not the one that found another gallery for her, it was Hector.
Danilo tells Perla that everything will soon be back to normal. Perla hopes so. Perhaps you can take your wife to another location. Danilo tells her to close her eyes and gives her a packet of gum. I want you to know I am always thinking of you. Perla seems thankful and opens it up. He leaves and Memo knocks on the door. They start making out.
Cris asks Acacia what else has see been hiding? Hector says it was all his fault. He just wanted her to have an exhibition. It was all his fault it didn't happen at this gallery. Acacia understands she shouldn't have kept this from her, but thought she shouldn’t have lost this opportunity because Esteban was jealous. If your dream is to have an exhibition than you shouldn't let that die says Acacia. Hector swears not to set foot at the gallery if she still wants to have an exhibition. But please don't say no. at least give German an opportunity. Esteban promises not to get jealous and doesn’t' want her to give up her dreams for him. Acacia begs her to consider it. Esteban changes the subject and starts talking of Ulises. He is obsessed with Acacia. Cris agrees. It appears he wants to make her suffer. Hector understands her feelings but he is observant and feels Ulises is innocent. I will keep defending him because I believe in him. Esteban says he and Cris don't want Acacia to continue suffering over him. Cris asks Hector for two things. One, he stops talking to Acacia about Ulises. And stop engaging in Acacia to hide secrets and lie.
Perla and Memo have moved their make out session into the living room where Ale walks in and catches them. Perla still chewing her gum asks Ale what is she staring at. She was told my Danilo to pay Memo for a favor he did for him. Ale says she's not an idiot. She knows what's going on between them but she won't spill the frijoles. What do you want in exchange for this asks a doubting Perla. A favor? Ale just wants someone in this house to be with the one they love and walks away. Memo is happy that they have one less person to worry about. Perla is still doubtful.
Cris tells Acacia that if she still wants to be friends with Hector then they cannot talk about Ulises. Acacia agrees and is grateful that Cris understands her in wanting to keep Hector in her life. He really is a great guy. She leaves to go to her room. Cris says everything seems to be clear now. Esteban says he was a jerk in letting her cancel her exhibition over his jealously. Please don’t' let this new opportunity go. Cris wants to call Juliana and Esteban will go get his things from the hotel. He also made dinner arrangements with Danilo and Ale. If she doesn’t' want to go, he will understand. Cris agrees to accompany him. He kisses her cheek and thanks her. He walks out and Elenita comes in asking if she told him yet about the pregnancy. Not until everything is settled between us replies Cris.
Ulises is in processing and getting yelled at by the guard to undress quickly. The attorney tells Ulises they have 72 hours to hold him while they gather proof and prove that Nuria is lying. Ulises asks if by then will they have proof that she falsified his signature. The attorney doesn't know because an expert has to be called in to verify it.
German asks Andres to drop the charges against Norberto for his brother's sake. Andres believes he has to do this the right thing. Norberto cannot get violent with Juliana again. German believes he won't seek Juliana again. Juliana says she feels the same way but German is helping her and doesn't want Manuel to suffer. Can I find you later to see what you have decided? Andres doesn't think it's a good idea for them to be in contact. But later I will seek German to talk about this. German thanks him and Juliana tries to flirt with Andres with her black eye. She kisses his cheek.
Ulises is walking the yard and comes in contact with some men who threaten him. He tries to walk away and is stopped by others.
Nuria is in the yard and a lady sits by her. Nuria tells them not to mess with her. The other lady says they have a message from Perla and Danilo. The girl sitting next to her stabs her in the back.
Acacia stares at the cross Ulises gave her.
Rubio asks Esteban how was he able to restrain himself when he was face to face with Hector. I wanted to replies Esteban. Rubio warns him that he needs to be watching out for Manuel and not worrying over Hector.
Manuel pays Acacia a visit. She feels horrible after what Ulises told her. She doesn't know if what she did was right. You made a decision and you shouldn't doubt it replies Manuel. If Ulises is in jail, it's because it's his fault. You have to look toward the future. You can't change the past. Don't you think my father regrets what he did to my mother? But there is no way to correct the mistake. I finally understand when German says he lost his family. I feel the same way and it's horrible. Acacia says it's for the best they divorce. Manuel agrees otherwise they will finish killing each other. Acacia says they have to support each other.
Luisa tells Ale that she told Arturo there was no reason for him to come. His brother was just taken to jail and Esteban will be here. It's for the best. Ale offers to help her. Perla interrupts and Luisa heads off to the kitchen. Ale asks if Perla will be watching her cook too. Of course not says Perla. I have never cooked for Danilo and don't plan on starting now. I will leave that to you. What I don't understand is why you hate Danilo after everything he has done for you. Danilo walks in and pushes Perla aside. He tells Ale that there will be 6 people at the table tonight. Esteban has returned to his wife. I'm also invited asks Perla. Danilo counts again and says no, it's just 5. You will stay here locked up so that you don't cause any more problems for me like last time. They cannot know you live here. Ale thinks it's best if Perla wasn't on the premises. Danilo thinks it's a great idea. That way she won't try to do something stupid. Danilo leaves and Perla thanks Ale.
Carmen opens Andres letter and reads his words. He understands she no longer wants anything to do with him. But he still wants to take care of her and her kids. The man that bought your house was not really the buyer. Behind him was me. That is your house and I wanted to return it to you.
German comes in and Manuel says he was just trying to distract Acacia from everything bad that has happened lately. Acacia tells Manuel to continue to play their game while she talks to German. She confesses that she was the contact for Lizi to get him an exhibition. German can't believe she did that. Now your mother will back out of it and again, I will not be able to showcase my paintings. Acacia assures him that her mother knows and will not back out. Esteban convinced her. They are back together again.
Hector tells Arturo they have no way to prove Nuria falsified the documents with Ulises signature. He gets a call. He tells Arturo that they have to get Ulises out of jail quickly. They killed Nuria today. Carmen walks into the room and hears this. She drops her tray of coffee and starts crying.
In the lunchroom, Ulises becomes surrounded by inmates. He pushes one away and other other laughs at him. Some inmates make the kitchen help leave and another guy starts the fight with Ulises. Another guy pulls out a knife but Ulises is able to kick him in the stomach so he falls down. They grab the knife and fight for it.
Lunes: Esteban and Cris celebrate him coming home by doing the horizontal mambo; Cris overhears Acacia admit to Ale that she is not happy Esteban returned.

Hi Gloria -really looking forward to your recap - especially to the conversation translations that you do so well. I know I was not able to grasp the gist of several pivotal conversations - so frustrating.

I'll come back when the recap is up, but I'll say that I applauded Carmen last night. I'll be more detailed in my next comment.
Yeah, I am so looking forward to reading Gloria's recap of Carmen telling poor little baby Acacia off.
I really hope Hector gets Uli out of prison before Dan's assassins actually succeed. Luckily Uli is a fighter, unlike Nuria who didn't stand a chance against Dan's "messengers".

Momma lion Carman stood up to them all, well almost all. Cris and Acacia especially. I don't know what was said but Carman looked good standing her ground. The translation will be well worth the wait.
Looks like Ulises is going to have it rough in the slammer. It always gets me that the "tough guy" or leader of the pack that is going to teach the new guy who's boss, never does it alone, [coward] there is always three or for with him. That makes for a fair fight, 4/5 to one. But I guess that prison toughs don't ever play fair do they?
Nuria gets stabbed on her first day in. Those chicas are tough.
Esteban/Christian Meier can portray the dumbest blank zombie stare I have ever seen. I know that every time he gives that look
his mind is busy with thoughts which I'm sure aren't good. I can't stand that look, who will knock it off of him?
The other evil look although totally different is of course DevilDan. I can't wait until his look of evil is gone forever. I can hardly stand it when DevilDan
is in operating mode.
There are bad guys in every novela drama but we are up to our necks with evil in this one. Anvils--Anvils--Anvils PLEASE!

Gloria, this was marvelous. It was so precisely and completely detailed, all the action interwoven into an amazing tapesty.
"Ale walks in and he asks if she missed him. She doesn't say a word but her eyes yell out “Hell no!” made me smile. You gave us the perfect light touch in an otherwise heart heavy epsiode.

The blank stare but now mixed with the self satisfied smirk I mentioned earlier was almost too much to bear. Gloria, you noted "Esteban suggests they clear things up with Hector in a civil way. Let's close this chapter". Yes, you would love that, wouldn't you Este? I despise the fact Hector was blindsided by Este accompanying Cris, holding her hand while a small smile of satisfaction lit up his eyes at Hector's obvious discomfort. Blech.
Also, I do not believe one miserable word Este says. His declaration of love and devotion rang completely hollow. It's already painfully obvious he has no intention of leaving Acacia alone. "...He tries to hug her but she turns to her mother for comfort instead". 'Nuff said.
Slithering snake Rubio is again twisting things to his advantage-
"Rubio warns him that he needs to be watching out for Manuel and not worrying over Hector". Rubio knows full well Manuel is no threat whatsoever to Esteban but he is to Rubio because of Luisa. So why not have Este take care of Manuel? Keep pulling those marionette strings.
Cris' intuition that something was and still is "off" is a good one. I hope she continues to keep her guard up.

While I do believe Ale will have a hard road ahead of her in trying to overcome her past and psychological scaring, I think Perla is far more damaged.

I hope the handwriting analysis gets finished sooner than Hector believes so that they can get Uli out right away. I felt Carmen's pain and horror when she heard Nuria had been murdered in prison.
Carmen definitely earned points with me telling baby Acacia off like that. Now she just needs to stop acting stupid with that wonderful man, Andres, and his sweet son, German, and then she'll be back on my good side. What an amazing gesture of love he made by buying her house and returning it to her!
ITA with you all about Este's blank stare, now coupled with his satisfied smirk. I am so glad Cris is still uncertain and feels that something is off. But I think she'll still feel that she has to make the effort to save her marriage.

ITA with you all about Este's blank stare, now coupled with his satisfied smirk. I am so glad Cris is still uncertain and feels that something is off. But I think she'll still feel that she has to make the effort to save her marriage.
Perla went further down on my list this episode for first being happy that Uli was getting murdered in prison, and then being happy that Dan gave her a pack of gum. But, now she's sneaking around with Memo and her feelings for him are growing, and Dan won't like that when he learns about it. This won't end well.

I figure it's something the writers will reveal to us later, like they later revealed why Acacia was calling Lizi. It's probably also significant that Dan wants to move the brothel business back into the main house, instead of the cabins on the outskirts of town he has been using since Ale made the anonymous call to the cops.

Vivi, Este's remark about the brothel went over my head. Does he suspect/know Danilo is involved or was nothing revealed other than that he is aware of its existence?
Este is many thing but stupid isn't one of them. I am grasping at straws but someone has to find out who Danilo is and that Ale has been and is in danger.

Diana- Nothing was revealed other than Este knowing that the brothel exists. I think at some point later the writers will reveal just why Este is asking the question. He's shrewd and plays his cards close to his vest. He just might be on to Danilo about the brothel and plans to use the info to his advantage in their biz deal. Of course, we don't know what Rubio's reply was, and I'm sure he kept Dan's secret. To be continued...
I hated how Este brought up the fact that Hector is representing Uli, like it was just a casual bit of info everyone knew, when he knew Cris didn't know. He was hoping she would react by telling Hector off and forcing him out of Acacia's life. Luckily, she isn't that extreme and just asked Hector now to pull Acacia into his Uli dealings.

If Uli survives he better thank his lucky stars his attackers telegraphed their intent instead of sliding up and stabbing him in the kidney's as happened with Nuria.

If Andres drops the charge against Norberto it will be a mistake. The guy could kill him. German asked a big favor on behalf of his mother.
It is a large gesture for Andres to pay off Carmen's home and should be proof of his commitment to her but she'll just get mad at him.

Yeah. Andres has been put in a tough spot with this request. I would recommend that he go home to San Jacinto, now that Uli is in prison there and Carmen and Art are going back. Plus, his practice and house are there. But Juliana is planning on going to San Jacinto, and you know the first place she will go is his house, and sweaty, drung Norb and his gun won't be far behind.
Rubio would turn on Este in a hot minute.

Like I said last night, I was glad that Carmen told Acacia off. I had no sympathy for Acacia. I literally was talking to my tv and telling Cris to shut up every time she told Carmen not to speak to Acacia that way.
I hope that Carmen and Andres reconcile. That was a very generous thing he did for her. That shows that he truly loves her.

I think that Uli will survive, and he , Hector, German, and Andreas will start to put the puzzle pieces together. None of these good guys know who Damnilo really is. Someone will have to rat him out. Only Rubio , Perla, Memo, Pat and Norberto know what evil lurks in the heart of that man. Both Uli and Hector have Este's number. Hector will be the key to solving the puzzle of who is evil.

The thing really motivating Hector is finding something, anything, on Esteban so he can run and tell Cris. His primary reason for helping Uli and cultivating a relationship with Acacia is to get information. Hector wants Cris and used their friendship to worm his was close. All he has is a hunch something is amiss. I'm surprised Cris didn't tear him a new one when she found out he had not butted out of the relationship. She owes Esteban an apology on that one.
Why should Cris apologize to Este? She had no idea Hector was still around and that he was defending Uli and behind the new art gallery show. As far as she was concerned, he was back in San Jacinto getting on with his life.
Estekiller does not deserve an apology from anyone. He is a smarmy murderer who is lusting after his step daughter. He keeps sinking lower and lower...sociopath.

I do think he loves Cris but I feel he has always acted in her best interest, not his own.

Thank you Gloria. It was simply marvelous and Since I didn't get to watch on tv. Your recap was a movie in my mind even down to the facial expressions of characters. The comments are juicy too. I think maybe Susanlynn has a point about Johnny the drug dealet, he holds himself up well to Danilo. Would never be cane'd beat by him. I feel something went over my head.....it seems so out of characterfor for Perla ti be thrilled with gum???and not insulted after he took Ale shopping.???
Hector strikes me as a guy that enjoys a righteous cause. He took Uli's case because of Acacia and her momma, but after meeting Uli and investigating I think he's staying on simply because it's the right thing to do. Thank goodness, as he's the most likely to pick up that Uli's kidnapping/enslavement wasn't just random bad luck.
I agree with everyone about Hector. Yes it's true he may have crossed the line when it came to Cris, but otherwise I do think he's pretty professional. I think he's completely focused on Uli's case and making sure justice is served.

Cris's, male BFF wants to dig up dirt on her relationship with her husband and even after it exposed he is in love with her and asked to "butt out", he didn't. Her request for him to respect her relationship went in one ear and out the other and despite the sit down, clear the air meeting, he'll continue to surreptitiously meddle in her relationship. He is shooting in the dark hoping he hits something and wanting to cultivate (and now given permission by Cris) a relationship with Acacia to remain in Cris's orbit. Simply because he loves another mans wife does not give him the right to pick at a scab till it bleeds.

I don't even think Cris had a right to order Hector not to speak to Acacia about Uli. Acacia is an adult and has the right to be friends with whom she wants and speak to them about whatever she wants, and that includes Hector and Uli, no matter what issues Cris and Este have with them.
So far Hector has seen Acacia crying twice is distress and confusion over Uli, admitting that she can't really have a real conversation about him with her family because of the deep Uli hate there. Hector and Ale have been the only people to help Acacia think through this Uli situation rationally. Hector has also seen a very inappropriate grabbing and yelling session between Acacia and Este and had to jump in to get Este to let go and back off. I think he has more than a hunch that things are not right in the Acacia universe, and he certainly believes Uli has been set up.
I'm torn on Acacia. If anyone saw how Esteban was manhandling her they could say something or alert the authorities, that stuff sets off all kinds of red flags.
If Hector was not emotionally attached to her mother I think she can be buddies and have any type of conversation with anyone she chooses. That is not the case and Hector had Acacia set up the art exhibition (she told him she was not real comfortable with it) and Hector was surprised at the table when that was disclosed, knowing he had crossed the line.

Carmen is acting nuts with Andres, but she's food-deprived and sleep-deprived worrying about Uli. She loves Andres, as she showed by jumping between him and Norb's gun, but it seems she just doesn't have the spirit now to deal with Juliana chasing him. Maybe Andres' grand gesture of buying her house will set her straight.
gringo, for what it's worth, I hadn't realized Nuria died initially either (for much the same reasons you noted) until I read the recap. I understood Carmen's reaction to the news (fearing Uli would be next), but I thought she was being told Nuria was gravely wounded, but not dead.
I'm really worried for Uli - he has no one "on the inside". I hope Hector moves at the speed of light to do something.

We didn't see Nuria die, but since there wasn't some huge fight to draw the attention of the guards, she probably just bled out/internally and died quietly on that bench in the prison yard. The blade wasn't huge, but that doesn't mean they didn't know just where to hit a vital organ.

Norberto & especially Danny play for keeps. She delivered her lie lines per Norberto and she now was a liability. Norberto's lawyer told him she was threatening to tell the real truth.
What happened to Nuria is exactly what I fear for Itzel cause Uli won't die.
