I missed the first part so please someone fill in. I'm guessing major make out session and kinda am glad I missed it if so. He's giving me the hibby jibby's (sp). CM is definately bringing the cray cray to this character.
 

This is great, Gloria! The captions were lagging tonight, so you clarified a lot of things for me. Thank you so much!

At the beginning we found out that they didn’t roll around in bed after all. Este tells Acacia that they’ll wait until she’s more comfortable with the idea, or some such thing.

Of course, that was before he went all argy bargy later in the show. There was a lot of gratifying stuff tonight – Acacia finally seeing who he was and what he was, Estrella escaping, Ulysses and Hector siccing the police on Dan, Ale finally speaking out when the police were there. I loved that moment.

But Acacia deciding she should marry Manuel? Where did that come from? And it looked like Ulysses still has some tender feelings for her – run, Ulysses, run!

The only thing I wondered about is how Chris and Este got into Dan’s house. The police scene was near the front door. Did they come in some back entrance – without knocking? Anyway, it was also gratifying that they got to hear the police reciting the charges. Whoo hoo!
 

Gloria, thanks for the recap. You had alot to cover. I think this capitulo was a victim of the Uni scissors. I missed the beginning too. My DVR started recording 1 minute before the start time, and like you, it started with Este caressing Acacia's face and then leaving her room. My guess is that Acacia stopped Este before they did the deed. Did she grow a conscience? Maybe she just didn't want to mess up her hair.

Anyway, things are swiftly moving along. I loved the look on Cris' face as the police came into Danilo's house and accused him if having a brothel. Priceless! Score one for the goodguys! Estrella got away, Uli has the evidence to bring down Danilo, Hector's back in town and Perla's crossed over from the dark side. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Gloria- So glad to have you back in fine form. Excellent recap of an exciting episode! You perfectly captured all the fast moving developments and mood swings of our characters.

This was actually 2 episodes combined in one. Mexico Episodes 100 and 101. We should probably continue to put the US capitulo in the heading though. This was US episode 94.

So many things to celebrate. Acacia rejecting Este and realizing that he is manipulating both her and Cris and trying to steal Cris' money and put in in her name. Este won't be able to keep on the mask as his craziness escalates with his frustration. Acacia saw some of the true crazy last night, and it scared her.

But best of all, are the developments with Estrella and Ale, and Dan's bordello. Thank you Perla, Uli, and Hector for coming through! Woohoo!
 

I actually thought Uni did a fairly good job combing the two episodes. Here are some relevant cut scenes:

-Obviously, they cut when Acacia popped up from the bed and told Esteban they couldn’t go further and do the deed.
-Danilo accuses Estrella of faking her illness and roughs her up, while Ale tries to protect her. He tells Estrella tomorrow she is being put to work (with the special client who bought her virginity).
-Elena finds Acacia in the living room all aflutter and on the point of tears. Acacia says she can’t explain what’s going on with herself, and Elena tries to calm her down. She says Acacia is no longer a little girl, but a woman who should think things through with maturity. Acacia begs Elena to sleep with her that night and Elena does, while Acacia tosses and turns. Este also tosses and turns and almost leaves the bed to visit Acacia. Cris wakes, and instead Este makes passionate love to Cris. Blech!
-Este sees Art with Luisa in the kitchen and tries to kick him out because he’s Uli’s bro. Art stands his ground. Then Este spots the ring he gave Acacia on Luisa’s hand and asks about it.
-There were a few scenes with Perla and Julianita discussing the weird/suspicious timing of Uli dropping by; Luisa and Art flirting; Rosa almost spilling the baby beans to Cris; and another scene or two with Uli and Estrella.

-Estrella and Uli have a heart to heart about Ale. Estrella is really worried for Ale and begs Uli to send Ale a message to check that she’s ok.
-Luisa asks Acacia what the deal was with the disappearing act. Acacia says she had to go see Uli, and that when she saw him, all the old feelings came back. But he’s moved on and she saw him embracing some other girl. She asks Luisa if Art has mentioned that Uli has a new girlfriend. Elena overhears the conversation and tells Acacia she has to move on from Uli.
-Esteban tells Cris that she has to prohibit Acacia from just up and leaving whenever and wherever she wants—for Cris’ sake. Cris mentions that Acacia just went to see Uli, and Cris thinks she still loves him. Este is taken aback. Este pushes the whole, Cris has to control Acacia more thing.
-Just before the police arrive at Uli’s house, Hector, Uli, and Katia meet with Estrella. They tell Estrella she will first speak with the police, and right after that, Katia will accompany her to Mexico City where they will meet her father and brothers and go to Hector’s safe house. Katia and Estrella go to the bedroom when the police arrive.
-Manuel tells German that Acacia asked him to get married and he agreed. German thinks they are both crazy. He points to the disastrous marriage of their parents. Manuel points out that German is marrying Lizzy just to forget Ale. German says their situations are different, as Ale is just interested in money (not love). He wonders if Manuel will be happy marrying a woman who doesn’t love him. Doesn’t Manuel think it’s strange that Acacia is asking this? He tells Manuel to take things slow.
-Dan lines up Ale, Perla, and Juli Jr., along with armed Efrain, and tells them he’s leaving for Mexico City that day, and they will be watched and locked up the whole time. There are extra armed guards posted around the house and grounds.
-Acacia and Manuel meet up the day after the proposal, and she says she has not changed her mind about getting married. He’s thrilled but asks why she wants to get married. She says she doesn’t amar him but she querers him, and thinks they could make a good marriage and go far together. He’s been with her in her worst moments, and he’s her best friend. She’s come to realize that passionate love doesn’t work or last forever, but the love between friends does. Manuel agrees, but still doesn’t think this is the REAL reason for her proposal. Acacia admits that she fell in love with the wrong man (hombre equivocado). Manuel jumps to the conclusion that she’s speaking about Ulises. Acacia gets frustrated since she can’t spit out the truth, and tells Manuel to forget the whole thing. Manuel drops the questioning and agrees to marry her without questions.
-Manuel tells Norb that he and Acacia are getting married, and also shares his concerns that Acacia asked him in desperation. Norb glosses over Manuel’s reservations (he sees no problem with Acacia marrying him out of spite towards Ulises), and happily knocks back tequilas and celebrates. He tells Manuel that the most important thing is that he’s marrying the woman he loves. Manuel doesn’t look convinced.
-Cris and Este are at Dan’s getting ready to sign the contract. Cris questions whether they should go into business with Dan (and suggests they take Ale out of there) when she notices all the extra guards, and then hears over Dan’s walkie talkie that the police have arrived.

 

As bad as Norb is, I think they clearly showed that the difference between him and Juli is that he is capable of thinking beyond himself sometimes, while she is not. Juli's utter confusion when Manuel was disgusted with both her and Norb for only uniting over money, and being incapable of uniting for their sons, while Norb really seemed to be taking it in, was a prime example.
 

Gloria, what a thrilling, detail laden recap! I was hanging on every word.

"Esteban is outside pacing and punches the table. He gets a bloody fist. Too bad he didn't use his face" was my favorite among many great lines.

You captured the events and actions perfectly. I can't add anything to what Maggie noted in the beginning.

Vivi, thank you for filling in what we lost due to Uni's scissors. We knew it was going to happen...so nice to savor your extra added events. Thank you.

Last night, I found myself frowning at all the time spent on Acacia's "moral awakening" instead of Ale, Uli, Hector and company. So the little traitor finally realizes she is a spiteful, conniving liar? Pleasee. I think you explained it to a T AuntyAnn with" My guess is that Acacia stopped Este before they did the deed. Did she grow a conscience? Maybe she just didn't want to mess up her hair". And there you have it! :)

Sadly, it appears everyone who thought that Acacia and Uli may indeed end up together may be right. But she is of course going to take the detour of agreeing to marry Manuel. How typical of her running and whining to him now that she has "lost" Uli and Este. Wait until Luisa hears...

I don't want to devote any more energy to Acacia.

So, brave Ale plots and executes Estrella's bold escape. And Perla! She has now atoned for her sins. Ale has obviously forgiven her for what Perla has done so I will as well.

Finally "hunky Hector" returns! (love that name Gloria!). I love he and Uli together!

Maggie, I was delighted Cris and Este were there to see Danilo's takedown. But, with more episodes to go, the pit in my stomach says his reign of terror is not yet over.

There's was something Cris said to Acacia when she was caring for her in bed. She said she would always be there for Acacia. Even when she stumbles on her path (makes mistakes), she will be there to help her up. Little does Cris know that her unconditional mother's love is going to face a huge challenge when she finds out what her daughter has been doing.
 

Yes Vivi, it's such a violation of trust.

I do not have children but am/was a daughter, niece, sister and wife. I love my family and while I am fairly sure I could forgive, what a terrible wound. Could I ever forget?

Thanks also to Vivi for filling in the cut scenes, I am disappointed that we are missing scenes. The information you provided was necessary to understand exactly how this story is unfolding.Fir example, Aack FINALLY used her head by asking Elenita to sleep in her bed. I must say that Ack suddenly seeing the light is hard to believe. Darn Uni. La Gata just keeps twirling off into outer space in all its madness while Uni pares down important scenes that viewers would like to see.

I have not had a chance to watch this episode yet, but it seems that Dan's creepy statement about Ale going with him when he dies is a bit of foreshadowing. I think that she will survive so that Dan's wish never comes true. If Ale dies, the villain wins , and that cannot happen.

Wow..that bedroom window had a lot of traffic last night. Maybe they should install a revolving door. Yesterday, I was going to suggest that a simple remedy for Ack's burning desire for Este would be LOCKING her bedroom door, but I forgot that he also uses the window.
 

I think that because Ack never went all the way with Este , she will be forgiven by all .." ..teehee, I am young and foolish,,,,my bad....sorry I was making out with your hubby every chance I got, Mom. Hey, Can I borrow those earrings , and when are you going to buy me a car ?" If they had done the deed...probably no forgiveness and an anvil of some kind.. Also, her one and only lover has been Uli, so the writers will probably reunite them in the end. Too bad for Uli. He deserves much better than this weak, spoiled, selfcentered little princess. If I was one of the writers I would get Ack to a nunnery..but that's me.
 

Thank you gloria for doing this and I could tell Univision started with the scissors. With everything bouncing around I was somewhat befuddled. Vivi, as always thanks for filling in what was missed and makes more sense now what was happening.

What does Manuel expect, really? That suddenly Acacia would fall in love with him? The real or the one he presents to her. Ha, Acacia loves Acacia and he is a means to an end just as Norberto was for Juli. Can't think of a better pairing, Manuel & Acacia deserve each other and not worthy of better. I can just see them in 10 years once the facades come down.

 

It matters not to me if Acacia and Esteban consummated the relationship or not, they were after all in her bed and anyone could have popped in, had they been at a Motel 6 they would be huggy pie, kissy poo right now. The truth is, despite her kid stuff romance with Uli, and her desperate proposal of marriage to Manuel, she not only desires Esteban but I think she loves the guy too and she cannot rip that out of heart.
 

tofie, I was sad to see a definite softening in Uli's countenance when he saw Acacia. You are right, he deserves so much better!

Susanlynn, it wasn't until I read your comment that it finally sunk into my head that Acacia had Elena sleep with her so Este wouldn't come in!

I think Acacia and Manuel should be stuck to each other forever. Look, Manuel is a turd, with my apologies to the turd, yet he is Acacia's rock? I want their life to be a mirror of Norb & Juli absent the children. I want Manuel to know she really loved Esteban and pines for him still and for her to know he impregnated sweet Luisa and shirked any responsibility. I want both to know and contemplate his involvement in removing Uli was not the fox that was in the hen house. I at the same time hope Cris can be spared knowing. I don't have children but have tried to get my head around a child's betrayal like this one and my brain explodes.
 

Will someone kindly verify Acacia thinks Arturo is the father of Luisa's baby?

In spite of everything she has done, I can't see her forging ahead with the engagement if she knew that.

Diana- Yes. Acacia thinks Art is the father of Luisa's baby. The only people who know the truth are Art and Ale.
 

Acacia doesn't even know that Manuel used Luisa for sex for a while or that things ever got that deep with them. She thinks he just flirted with her and lead her on. She doesn't know what an ass he was to Luisa, or how ungentlemanly he was in spreading their business and bragging about bagging her in from of Uli and Art.

I appreciate your also pointing out that Acacia isn't aware of how ungentlemenly Manuel has been. His bragging in front of Uli and Arturo was unforgivable.

Having Juli and Norberto as parents must have been difficult and painful. However, German rose above it. Manuel never really tried. His failure to stand up for Luisa was pitiful.

I don't care about Manuel at all. I don't wish him harm but I do not wish him well either.

I wish he would just go away.

I cannot wait to watch this episode, I won't be able to watch until early evening. I suppose that we will get two episodes smushed together tonight , too. Shame on Uni. Viewers should.be able to savor every morsel of the remaining episodes before we discover the fate of each character, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and bid farewell to these characters forever.

Perla and Hector were the heroes last night. I'm glad Perla finally agreed that they needed to get Estrella out of the brothel. Hector is a big help to everybody. I'm glad Uli was smart to contact him.

I'm really, truly afraid for Manolo now. Now that he and Ack may marry Esteban won't like that one bit and his secret may come out. I hope this doesn't end in tragedy.

I wonder if German will finally learn the truth about Ale tonight. Now that the police have taken action I hope that at least puts an end to the brothel and that Ale can return to La Benavente. At least Ack helped Ale even though she doesn't yet know what's going on.
 

TF- Yes. I'm so glad, as Gloria pointed out, that Acacia didn't turn and run away when she saw Uli hugging mystery girl, and stuck with the task on hand to give Uli the info Ale gave her. At least some parts of her brain are still functioning.
 

Yeah Vivi at least Acacia was mature and did what Ale asked. I thought it was weird though that she told Uli that she wouldn't bother him again. I don't know why but it just seemed out of place.

And what about Cris? Acacia will marry Manuel to keep her hands off Este, but will she do anything to stop her mom from being saddled with this lying, cheating, scamming man for the rest of her (Cris's) life? In my view, Acacia is still only thinking about Acacia.

 

Loved your fabulous recap Gloria. Univision's CCs for all of last night's novelas lagged, and I hate when that happens, so thank you so much for filling in the gaps.

Now that Ack has turned to Manuel for a marriage of desperation and would have done the same with Uli, there is no reason the writers have to make Cris aware of Ack's tryst with Esteloco. That's a family secret that could be swept under the rug forever, and I'm eager to see if it will be. I sincerely hope NOT, but I'm just a humble member of Viewerville.

I'm thinking that not only did that bedroom window get lots of traffic last night, but the springs in the sofa must be shot by now, not to mention how dirty the cushions are becoming---especially if Esteloco made his last trip through the window from the cow barn.
 

Not only did Acacia stay on task with Ale's message to Uli, but Acacia befriended Ale, stranger in distress, when Ale escaped from Danilo. I had sort of forgotten this until the flashbacks accompanying Ale's tale to Uli.

It was very warm and generous on Acacia's part [and Cris's] to take Ale in and give her a home.

I think Acacia is so confused now that she thinks she needs a man to deter Esteloco.

A very angry email has just been sent to Univision Corporate. Even though they never reply, I let then know how I feel and it wasn't nice.

Again thank you Gloria for your hard work and also to you Vivi for filling us in on all of the missing pieces of the story that we didn't get to see.

I did wonder what happened to Estrella after Uli let her in. They talked briefly, very briefly,
she ate a sandwich and then disappeared. I kept asking myself is that all? Where did she go?

When Esteban punched a wood something, I didn't see any blood.
Are we all watching the same Univision version?

Just a thought or two---The body count has been low compared to some other novelas. Acacia has now woke up and has come to her senses, well not quite. Out with Esteban and in with Manuel. Lets focus on that/Manuel for a while.
Manuel got Luisa pregnant. Rubio loves her and he caries a machete.
Este wants beautiful young Acacia
with a passion but now out of the clear blue sky, sweet young bikini goddess has decided in all her wisdom that she will marry Manuel--I guess that school can wait. That makes two people that are either now or will be very angry with Manuel. Watch your back Manuel. Didn't the advances show Esteloco waving a machete?

Another thought---Police raid last night. As the show ended the police were coming in and Ale was saying that all of the accusations were true. Danilo's right hand mad was standing there with his hand on the gun in his waistband. My guess is that tonight, bullets will fly. Cris and Ale are right there. Will someone get killed? Will DanEvil
grab Ale and escape? A lot could happen tonight. How much will Uni cut?

Gringo- Yeah, Uli and Estrella actually had quite a few conversations that were cut. Uli was very sweet to her.
 

I think at this point, if a scene seems chopped, something develops abruptly/out of nowhere, or certain characters practically disappear, we can assume it's on Uni's cutting room floor. I was shocked they even bothered to show the 2 scenes they showed between Luisa and Arturo. I thought for sure they'd get completely cut. They cut German's scene totally. I am hoping that the Uni butchers realize that the audience really, really cares about some of these other story lines (like German and Ale), and don't just make the final episodes the all about Acacia show.
 

I for one will send Univision an angry email every day that the cutting goes on. I mean it. I am so angry that they are taking so much of a good show away from us the viewers. Uni probably will just delete the messages, they never answer but at least I am able to tell them how I feel about what they are doing. Is it so important that a new show starts a few days earlier?

I think Uli told Hector that Estrella was in the other room resting. Also I saw blood on Este's knuckles.

Gringo- There wasn't blood dripping down or anything, but Este's knuckles were clearly bloodied after his punch. In a cut scene right after that, he goes into his bedroom, where Cris and Elena are talking, and they freak out upon seeing his knuckles. He lies that he hurt them working in the barn, and Elena goes to get something to clean them up.
 

The thing is if they are going to cut a show just to fit a start date of the next why don't they plan ahead and do it way prior to the wrap up, they could still make the schedule and we'd see everything and it not seem such a rush to finish.

I think Acacia is marrying Manuel to keep herself from Esteban not Esteban away from her. She doesn't trust herself. I also think had Uli showed any interest (it would have to be immediate cause the girl needed a body) it could have been him the winner of that lovely prize.

I fail to see why Uli needed Hector to give the blessing on everything he had collected. Uli did all the work and he and Ale took the risk. Sure Hector helped package it for popo consumption but the whole thing started rolling with Ale and Uli making an anonymous call. I give props to Art for counseling some patience.

 

Tofie- Good to have a lawyer on hand though, and I'm sure Estrella and her family are really happy to have that safe house! The cop probably took the call from Hector more seriously than he would have taken a call from Uli, whom he already sees as a young troublemaker after his admission about the anon calls.

Susanlynn---No spoilers just wild guess from the gringo. I don't know what is going to happen but even if I did, I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone else. I would never do that or even try for that matter.

Acacia is still thinking just about Acacia. She only wants to marry Manolo to try to keep Este away. There is no need for that. If she really wants Este to keep his distance she has other options. She can move away, maybe with another relative or her grandparents. That way she's not alone if Este tries to "tempt" her again. She can also be honest and come clean with her mother. That is the best way to keep Este away. But no, she's going to insist on using Manolo. If she cared about her mother she would be focusing on getting Este away from Cris. If she thinks Este is a gold digger, then she should focus on getting evidence to prove all he wants is Cris' money. Problem is the evidence includes their (Acacia & Este) relationship and Acacia doesn't want her Perfect Princess Persona to be blemished.

She only cares about helping herself out. I can't see her doing what Ale has done for Estrella. Ale is risking it all for the sake of others, including Acacia. And yes I know that Acacia befriended Ale and took her in, but that's about it. Acacia wasn't putting her life at risk. In my eyes, Ale is the true heroin of this telenovela.

Honestly, I thought my DVR had skipped the first few minutes for the show. Este and Acacia were leaning back on her bed when we last saw them and then POOF! She's upright and clutching her blouse. Then, in the the previews they show someone in bed with her and then they cut out the whole scene altogether that Elena slept with her that night. Thank you so much Vivi for providing us with the missing scenes.

I still don't see how Acacia can be redeemed. She's dead to me.

Question for you all who have been watching TNs for so long. Has there ever been an affair between daughter and stepdad? Just curious.
 

Vivi – I cannot thank you enough for filling in the missing scenes. I had assumed the save-it-to-tomorrow talk between Manuel and Acacia about getting married would show tonight, but obviously it got cut from last night. That’s important stuff!! And so is all the rest. Sigh
 

Paquita- I think there have been plenty of tns where the evil stepdaddy was lusting after the innocent stepdaughter. But this is the first that I know of where the stepdaughter, who is a "good" character, reciprocates and acts on it.

In Dona Barbara (also starring Christian Meier), the girl never knew DB was her mother growing up, didn't grow up with her, DB was evil, mother and daughter hated each other, and the guy (CM's character) never married the mother. He has a love affair with the mother, and then with the daughter, which ends in happily ever after for them. The evil mother somewhat redeems herself, and goes off alone into the wilderness to live out the rest of her life.

The difference here is that Acacia has a loving relationship with her mother, and KNOWS Cris is her mother.
 

I am watching the episode right now. Did anyone notice the shirt Perla was wearing ? It had the words " Life is sweet" in English on it...irony ???

I am enjoying Este fretting snd steaming. Ha ha .Ack' s turn around and development of a conscience seems rather sudden to me. She no longer likes Este's grabbing and groping. I hope that she felt very guilty when Cris was reassuring her that she would always be there for her.

I agree , VIvi, ,that Hector's reputation and power added weight to the accusations agsinst Dan.

Personally I haven't seen another TN like this one. I have seen ones where former step siblings or former cousins have fallen in love. In Triunfo Del Amor Max and Maria technically were step siblings but Max's father and step mother (Maria's bio mother) ended up divorcing. In Mundo de Fieras, Juan Cristobal and Paulina wouldve been cousins if Paulina wasn't adopted.
 

Yikes...Este is really becoming unhinged. He was really grabbing and pulling on Ack in her bedroom. I got a big kick out of him stepping on that sofa to go outvote window. it looked funny. When he punched that innocent door in the hallway, his nostrils were flaring like a raging bull.

I also thought it was funny when Este told Ack he was going to talk to her mother about her behavior. Perhaps , his plea might have sounded like this " Cris, your daughter won't let me grab , grope, and kiss her anymore. I am so upset. Can you try to reason with her? I think that you should send her to bed with no supper. "

When Dan was choking Ale as he told her she would die when he dies, I think that she thought that he was going to strangle her right then and there. What a scary performance by Alberto. He can bring the crazy evil.

And when Ack was asking Manuel to marry her, Rubio was lurking behind the door. The guy is always eavesdropping,

Rubio was just lurking as Manuel bid Acacia goodnight in her living room. The proposal too place at Manuel's house before that. So all Rubio can report to Este is how cozy Acacia and Manuel looked with each other. Enough to get Este upset.

I mentioned earlier my frustations of why Acacia can't run to Grandparents or Chris herself to just cry out that Estebad is seducing her and forcing her do all these things, and now here it was but it was Estebad who is threatening to do the crywolf. So now Acacia finally see him as what he really is.. And isn't it disgusting how he whines and cry to Chris because he doesn't want to go to jail? The yellow livered coward!!! My blood boils over.Anne
 

Acacia is a hypocrite because she told her mother that Esteban was with her only for money and whatever else and now when there is actually some truth in her suspicions she hooks up with him instead of telling her mother "I told you so"
