Upcoming Telenovelas: On the horizon Via Stevey
Hi everyone!!
With 'Amores con trampa' having just started, 'Hasta el fin del mundo' soon to be coming to its conclusion, and 'Que te perdone dios' and 'La sombra del pasado' chugging right along, I thought some of you might be interested in how the next few months are going to be progressing telenovela-wise, down Mexico way, anyways....
- Sunday, April 19th will be the final episode of 'Hasta el fin del mundo'
- Monday, April 20th will be the 'Gran Estreno' of 'Lo imperdonable', in the HEFDM time-slot (this is a Salvador Mejia production starring Ana Brenda Contreras, Ivan Sanchez, Grettel Valdez, and Sergio Sendel)
- Monday, May 11th will be the final episode of 'La sombra del pasado'
- Then, for 2 weeks, 'Que te perdone dios' will air back-to-back episodes both in it's original timeslot, AND in the one previously held by LSDP (which is one hour earlier)
- After this, on Monday, May 25th we will have the 'Gran Estreno' of 'La Vecina' (Lucero Suarez produced novela starring Esmerelda Pimentel and Juan Diego Covarrubias) in the earlier timeslot, and QTPD will go back to just one hour at its original time.
- Mid-June sometime, we will have the Gran Finale of 'Muchacha italiana viene y casarse'
- Following 'Muchacha italiana viene y casarse' will be 'Amor de barrio (a Roberto Hernandez production (he did 'Heridas de amor') novela starring Renata Notni, Mane de la Parra, Alejandra Garcia, Jessica Coch as the villain and Manuel Landeta)
And finally, a couple of other things to note...
- Following the end of 'Que te perdone dios' will be the remake of the classic 'Amor en silencio' (which I'm hearing will feature Alejandra Barros and- interestingly- the return of Leticia Calderon in some role...)
- And, last but not least, fpr those of you who prefer your comedies- around the end of August, when 'Amores con trampa' reaches it's conclusion we are going to have the latest, original Rosy Ocampo novela, 'Antes muerte que Lichita' starring Eduardo Santamaria, Chantal Andere, Ingrid Martz, and Sylvia Pasquel.
Also, to give you a better grasp as to the progression of novelas down this way as opposed to up there...
'Hasta el fin del mundo' is at Capitulo 180
'La sombra del pasado' is at Capitulo 106
'Que te perdone dios' is at Capitulo 36
'Amores con trampa' is at Capitulo 25
'Muchacha italiana vieni y casarse' is at Capitulo 121
This should be able to give everybody a good idea as to how many capitulos each novela has left before their ultimate conclusion.
I hope this is of use and/or interest to you all! :-)

I'm still holding out hope for a US airing of Yo no creo en los hombres.
As for QTD moving back for one hour its quite great news although it wont help much the late watchers but its atleast better than 10ocklock ! The Ivan Sanches novela should be interesting with SS and ( Evil?) Osvaldo de Leon . I hope the writing is good enough to sustain the gorgeous ,im sick and tired of Salvadors Mejia ever since that dreck La Tempestad and i hope he wont f**** it up.
I dont give a little fling for Juan Diego Covarriubias but i might check La Vecina out. As for comedies i never cared for them and i most likely never will .
I am disappointed in MIVAC's length but if every hour of Que Pobres Tan Ricos was enjoyable, then this can be too. Fiorella might rival Fernanda as Livia Brito's best work.
Uni missed out on doubling up on MCET so it'd end sooner and 4 and 5 would be free time slots (thus YNCELH and ECDLP could play alongside each other.) Then again, even that plan has and had it's flaws.
"Lo Imperdonable is a remake of La Mentira, as was Cuando Me Enamoro ... too bad it's a Mejia production ... and too soon, IMO."
Yeah CME was only a few years ago, right? Seems waaaaay to soon for a remake.
Upcoming on Uni according to wiki:
1. El Color de la Pasion to replace Hasta starting May 11th. YES. I was beginning to think we weren't getting this one!
2. Lo Imperdonable - listed as May 2015. Either one of the prime time novelas is getting bumped to midnight or it's replacing quiero amarte, which is ending in about 2-3 weeks. Probably the latter, considering how badly Tempestad flopped. Can't blame Uni for being gunshy.
I'll keep my hopes up...but at the same time I won't hold my breath.
Well La Madrastra was also Meija production but it was actually great , will Lo Imperdonable possibly be the miracle he so desperately needs or im just blundering into the unknowns? Perhaps Roberta Alcocer shouldnt have shot Ray , it was a waste of bullets, Meija would be a much better target!
ok, I'm getting severe La Sombra withdrawal already.

When at all possible, I try to avoid long ones. So, I would be willing to give MIVAC a try, but won't because it's so loooong.
I am loving La Sombra and Amores con trampa but it's nice to know what may be coming down the road.
I am a huge Leticia Calderon fan - one of the best villains in the biz.
Thank you!
Diana
Why, why , por que, por que????? Mejia??? I like Ana Brenda & Ivan, but Mejia can destroy the story of "The 3 little pigs"
Jarocha
Adding that he chose San Luis Potosí as the setting (gorgeous and almost unseen in Telenovelas) and it makes me want to watch in spite of the Mejía factor.
Jarocha
Hi again, everyone! Thank you for your interest and for your responses to my posting.
I thought I'd shed a little bit more light on these subjects, if I may... solely in the interests of elucidation!
Regarding 'Lo imperdonable', yes (alas) it IS a Mejia production, and from what I can glean it will be more along the lines of 'La mentira' than 'Cuando me enamoro'. There will still be the overall story of a man seeking to avenge his brothers suicide (Pablo Montero, in a role that I'm thinking will be along the lines of Susana Gonzalez's 'Roberta' in 'La sombra del pasado' (and by that I mean 'important, but.... short'), brought on be the actions of the heartless woman he was in love with, but unlike in CME, there will be no villainous mother. Grettel Valdez plays Virginia (the Karla Alvarez role in 'La mentira), the aforementioned soulless viper who plays the role of the innocent, and Ana Brenda (has she dropped the 'Contreras'??) will be the sister- the Kate del Castillo role from 'Mentira' (big shoes to fill!!) The supporting cast consists of Sergio Sendel (who I'm hoping won't be TOO much of a scene-stealing villain... I'm getting tired of him), Osvaldo de Leon (German in 'La Malquerida'), and Sebastian Zurita and Gaby Mellado (the poor, underused Solita in 'Corazon indomable') as the 'young protagonists.
'La vecina' which, in addition to the aforementioned Esmerelda Pimentel and Juan Diego Covarrubias, will also star Luis Gatica, is a remake of the Argentinian 'Solamente vos', which aired in 2013 and had a mind-boggling 233 episodes (which I frankly find terrifying).
TO BE CONTINUED BELOW... I CAN'T FIT EVERYTHING IN IN JUST ONE POST!!!
'Amor de barrio', which will be replacing 'Muchacha italiana viene y casarse' down here is a remake of 'Muchacha del barrio' from 1979 and that starred- wait for it- eternal 'nana' and 'first actress' Ana Martin! Production of the novela started around the last week of February this year.
The remake of 'Amor del silencio' is being done by the same guy who did 'En nombre del amor', 'Quiero amarte', amongst others and is going to be called 'El languaje del amor'. There are lots of rumors going on about this one (who is playing whom, who is cast and who isn't, etc.... supposedly 'confirmed' names include Leticia Canderón, Arturo Peniche, Cecilia Gabriela, Alejandra Barros, Marimar Vega, and Alfredo Adame... we'll), which at least means that people are excited about it. And YES!!!! I FULLY agree with Jarocha- a BIG part of 'Amor en silencio' revolved around a shocking, unprecedented event in its main storyline (my personal favorite telenovela writer- Eric Vonn wrote the story (with Liliana Abud) and he is NOTORIOUS for pushing the envelope and writing things much in his own (rather twisted) style, and so, as Jarocha said- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND ANYTHING OUT ABOUT IT, LEST IT RUIN THE SURPRISE!!!
I can't say anything, unfortunately, about what Univision has in store for you all up there, mainly because I haven't got a clue. It's good news to read that 'El color de la pasion' is, apparently, making its way up there. It's a brooding, almost gothic novela, incredibly well-acted, and I think you'll all like it, and yes, I'm joining the chorus of those who are PRAYING that they'll give you guys 'Yo no creo en los hombres'... it's running on another channel down here in Nicaragua (I've already seen it when it came out, of course) and, SO often, I am stricken with just how incredibly well-done 'this' scene' or 'that' scene was. The acting is first rate, by far the best ensemble cast I've seen in a novela this year and, even though it didn't take home the top Premio this year, it did take home the most, and hopefully, that will count for something with Looney-vision...
Two other things... at this point way to early to pontificate upon other than to acknowledge their existence but, apparently, Angelli Nesma's next production will be a remake of the Adela Noriega vehicle 'Yesenia' (about Roma gypsies (of course!), AND, there IS apparently a remake of 'Simplemente Maria' in the works... I'm not sure if this will in fact star Maite Perroni, but I'm relieved that, if it is in fact true, it will apparently be well beyond the clutches of the execrable Nathalie Lartilleux (who is busy coming up with ways to mangle the remake of 'La hija del jardinero' that she is supposedly working on...).
One LAST thing, (I swear!!), the only Telemundo project in the works that I can confirm is going to be called 'Bajo el mismo cielo' (it WAS going to be called 'El jardinero'), starring Gabriel Porras and Maria Elisa Conmargo, about an undocumented immigrant living in Los Angeles...
Stay tuned!!! :-)
Thank you for the information- Monica Miguel ROCKS, and with the additional information, I am now FIRMLY aboard the 'Lo imperdonable' ship. (Now let's just hope that it doesn't sink!!!!(lol))
I LOVED CME (just rewatched it), and I think it was invredibly well done, so I hope this newest incarnation of that previous incarnation lives up to its predecessor.
I also LOVED ENDA (currently rewatching it). I'm surprised Leticia Calderon's in it because she was in ENDA (so hateful. so, so hateful. That woman is a born villainess!) but then Luis Gatica was in La Mentira and CME, so maybe that's common?
La Sombra del Pasado is NOT ending HERE on May 11th.
I haven't heard a thing about QTPD changing slots here.
My intent with this was to provide information as to what's going on here Mexico/Central America way, knowing that whatever is coming your way up there will COME from here.
I apologize for any confusion. :-(
I haven't been around for a while, but I stopped by to check on the buzz about upcoming novelas. I for one am really looking forward to Lo Imperdonable. Yes, it is a Mejia production based on La Mentira, but adapted by Ximena Suarez, who thankfully is not a "cut and paste" writer, as she proved with LQNPA and La Malquerida, among others. Also, it's not exactly fair to say that it's too soon after CME, because CME was loosely based on both La Mentira and another novela named "Mañana Será Otro Dia," which is the one that had the evil mother part of the story. Anyway, for a taste of the look and feel of Lo Imperdonable, here's a "fan-made" opening sequence, using promo clips and the official opening title song:

Happy viewings,

Lo Imp seems to be getting good buzz in Mexico and the comments I've seen about it seem to indicate that Mejia may have actually gotten things right this time.
