Amores con trampa #43 and #44 5/27/15 and 5/28/15

It's time for another evening with the Carmonas. There's been trouble in paradise lately and most of us on the patio are more than a little peeved with Facundo. Jarifa will fill us in on tonight's tomfoolery. Look for her recap in the comments.

Hi, to you all!

The recap will be up late tonight/early tomorrow a.m. Per usual.

Jarifa

Hi to you to and it's fine take your time tonight episode was good

Eva- I just saw your comment on the other post about the actor playing Beto (Aldo Gurra) looking just like his dad (Rogelio Guerra.) So I googled it. I had no idea they were related! Thanks for teaching me something new!

How rude of me-

Jarifa-Thank you and take your time! I enjoy my morning coffee time with one of your recaps.

Capítulo 43 5/27/15. "And the Truth Should Set Someone Free, Right?"

Part 1

Back to the story . . .

At the Velasco's good hearted Felipe brings Beto to see Rocío who is in her room crying. She is happy to see Beto and they embrace. He wants her to know that no matter what he is never going to leave her alone. She asks what is he going to do with a girl like her that just causes problems. He sees her as a good woman. She says she might have been that way as a little kid but everything changed when her mother died.

At the Carmona's, Diego comes to see Carmen but she is not interested in his romantic advances. He says she might be angry now but she is going to be more angry when he tells her that his parents who are not on speaking terms since the divorce won't be interested in coming to a dinner at her house together. She says she knew he was going to come up with something like that. He does not get it. Carmen informs him that Francis told her all about supplying her with the false sonogram so she could lie to Felipe. She throws him out.

María is still crying and begging Facundo for forgiveness in their bedroom. She makes the mistake of saying she only wants to take care of her family. He tells her that she ends up doing whatrver she feels like and then lets her have it big time: she is all over him about Isabel here and Isabel there, that she doesn't want him with her but then SHE betrays him with that damned chilango (guy from DF); she tells him how he has changed, how she doesn't know him any longer; she needs to look in a mirror because she is the one who has changed; he could have made a lot of mistakes but he never would have hurt her like she hurt him by betraying him; and no he is not interested in her offer to move back into their bedroom. She is not the María he married.

Beto is still trying to give Rocío some hope saying that she is the most wonderful girl he knows; that they are going to be real happy together; that together they will solve the thing about her mother that is hurting her soul so. He is more and more in love with he all the time.. She only asks Beto for some time to do something with her life, feel well and for him to be proud of her. He will give her all the time she needs but wants her to know his heart is waiting for her.

The psychiatrist is at her desk when she aks that her last patient be sent in. She takes off her glasses, walks over and kisses Esteban!

Part 2

Isabel comes into her living room and pours herself a drink. Santiago follows her in and says she must be happy. She says she is real happy and he should be too because now that architect's business deal with Facundo has been ruined; which what he wanted anyway. He tells her he did not want it to happen like that. Santiago then wants to know how Isabel found out that María was his confident. Isabel jusst tells him he is a fiasco in everything he does even in hiding secrets. He goes on to tell her that María a decent woman put her own marriage at risk to help him out. He calls her on not caring about the business or anything: all she cared about was making María look bad in front of Facundo. She tells him he caught her. She couldn't lose the opportunity. It was just too good. Santiago warns her for her own good not to take advatage of the situation to get close to Facundo. She tells him that is exactly what she is going to do. He wonders what made her like she is. She is evil. She calls him a broken record, so let her say it "She is an evil woman, evil." He leaves and she says to herself she is not an evil woman. . . She is a woman in love. . . She know she does bad things, that she pushes the limits but she loves Facundo.

There are interesting "goings on" at the psychiatrist's office where Estebean is tellimg her that they really need to finish driving Isabel crazy.

Facundo is not done with María yet. As the rest of the family hears María crying and comes in to comfort her, they ask what happened. Facundo in his most sarcastic voice tells María to tell them that she is going back to their town and that anyone who wants to go with her should just go. Beto complains about how Facundo is talking to María. Facundo agrees he is wrong because (he is now holding María's face in his hand) Their mother is a saint, the best woman in the world, very loyal, a great companion but right now he does not want to see her so they should get her out of there because he does not want to see her cry. He stars screaming " Take her out of here! " Facundo is alone sitting on his bed asking God what is happening to his family. He is sobbing as he realizes his family is being destroyed. In a few moments, Jacinto comes in saying he heard the commotion and got scared. He tells Facundo that if he stops fightimg with his mom he will stop wetting his pants. Facundo just sobs and hugs him. Facindo says he does not know how to forgive. Jacinto tells him there are only two roads : forgiveness and resentment. Resentment leads to pain and forgiveness to happiness. He knows Facundo knows how to forgive. Jacinto blesses his father before going off to bed. Facundo is left crying saying he does not want to lose his María, he just wants her.

Th rooster crows and Facundo is still awake thinking anout how he wishes they could go back in time. He is thinking about his pretty María. What in the hell are they doing with their lives anyway? He goes wandering to the his daughters's room where María is sleeping. He opens the door and looks at all three of them. He is thinking about how he and María are throwing their lives away. She is awake thinking about how the money has changed both she and Facundo; and no matter how how Facundo denies it, how he is attracted to Isabel. Facundo blesses them all, leaves and closes the door.

Part 3

Facundo is now in the shower asking God what is happening to him. He is losing his family. He blames the city for killing his love for his María, the only love of his life who has lived throught the toughest times with him. He starts getting poetic and thinking about her dark eyes and by looking in them it is like falling in an abyss of happiness; her lips so fresh and soft like a strawberry, a bit of peach; her waist; her hips and how they swayed to the rhythm of nature under the most starlit night in San Bartolo El Chico. That is the very purist of loves. The most spirited and fine mare of the whole town. Facundo is smiling just thinking of her.

Facindo has other thoughts as he is finishing his shower and wiping it down : Isabel!!! And he is still smiling wonderig what is wrong with her, she is always so hysterical and posessed. What is her story? She is so funny. She dresses so strangely ; walks so strangely, too; she can be elegant and polished,.when she wants to be a good friend, a lady, she acts just like a queen. She smiles and he trembles from the knees to his feet all the way up to his jaw ffrom wanting to laugh with her, too. And her look? it is as if she carries some sort of deep inconsolable sadness with her. He feels like giving her a squeeze, a hug to really protect her and to let her know that happiness does really exist and whe she kisses, she kisses. Facundo catches himself and what he is thinking about and asks God why that woman disturbs him so much. He prays to the Virgin to make his heart like a rock(theme song, anyone?) to enclose his María and to keep Isabel out. Facundo ends up where he started: crying in the shower.

As the psychiatrist buttons up her blouse and walks up to a seated Esteban she asks him how he awoke this morning, She sits on the arm of his chair and kisses him. His tie is undone. He is very tired, thanks to her. He wants to kmow in the middle of all the lovey dovey stuff if she knows how she is going to drive Isabel completely crazy. She does not know because she the psychiatrist ( doctora mireya) is completely crazy in love with Esteban. More kissy face time and then he is off to the office becaus It is getting late.

Isabel is thinking about Facundo. She thinks that it was a mistake telling María that she was going to take Facundo away from her. If she succeed what would happen? She "baas" like a sheep but isn't sure she would want to go live on a ranch, feeding the chickens, because surely he'd want to go back to the country. How would she give up this life?

Part 4

We then see Isabel's rancho fantasy in black and whitte. She is doing all sorts of ranch chores with all of the animals. She still wants Facundo but now is not too sure she wants to end up being a ranchera. A better idea is to change him into a man of the city. She could live with that.

Doctora Mireya the psychiatrist is with Esteban. Guess he still hasn't left for the office. They are kissing. She asks if he's been with Isabel. He tells her she is not like those rich presumptuous ones like Isabel and Estefany. She is smarter, etc. Esteban has a plan. He tells her to call Isabel and give her these pills. He gives her some pills he had with him. She says it is not going to be easy to get Isabel to take them. He wants her to do whatever it takes to get her to take them. He wants Isabel crazy. She will do her best.

Jacinto wet his bed. Beto gives him a pep talk and tells him not to worry, it doesn't affect who he is. It is no big deal. He will take care of his comforter.

At the Velasco's , Isabel is still drinking and Rocío is trying to get an answer out of Isabel: can she work at her boutique. Isabel immediately brings up the stolen jewelry incident. What will she steal from her there? Santiago and Felipe are voth there, too. Santiago tells her that her niece/daughter is asking her for an opportunity, PLEASE! Isabel tells Santiago to take Rocío to his company to work. What would she do there and she'd be close to Beto. Sne does not want a juvenile delincuent even close to her cash register. Rocío asks Isabel how she can be so cruel to her. She finally wants to do something with her life like Isabel is always telling her to and this is what she gets. Isabel says it is HER boutique that's why. Santiago says he is the one who supports it because Isabel is never there. He tells Isabel to be a good mother for jst once in her life and say yes.

Granny and Beto talk about Jacinto's problem. Beto said it was because of the parents's fight. Granny says he is so sensitive to everything.

Grandpappy and Jaci to are with the baby goats by the pool. Jacinto tells Grandpappy that he is all worried because he wet the bed. Grandpappy tells him not to worry about such a little problem. It will just disappear one day the way it came, like nothing. He tells, him they will all help him and not to worry. Jacinto wants to know what is going on in the house. Yes, Grandpappy heard all of the shouting. He asks Grandpappy if he wet his bed as a child. Grandpappy makes him promise not to tell anyone . . .

Isabel and Rocío arrive at her boutique. Isabel fires the girl working there on the spot. Her niece is going to work there and she does not have enough money to pay two salaries. Rocío is upset by the way she fired her. Isabel calls her a "union leader" and doesnot need to e lectured on workers right. Isabel tells Rocío where she is going to sit, that she is going to attend to the customers, that she is going to sell and thatnjnder no circumstance is she to tell anyone that she is Isabel's daughter or niece.

Part 5

Isabel does not want to be embarrassed. As long as Rocío dresses like she does, she will tell nobody that they are related. No smoking inside the store. This is only a trial situation. She agreed that Rocío come work there just to shut Santiago up. One mistake and she will be sorry. She needs to take advantage of her opportunity.

María has taken to her bed and never gotten up. Beto goes in to check on her. She wants them to close the curtains, keep the light out. Granny tries to get her to get up and get going. Beto tells her Facundo got mad vut it will all blow ocer. María says he is never gong to forgive her. She won't forgive him. She is afraid that damage between them will be so great there will be no way to fix it. She just wants to be left alone in her bed. What will she do? Granny tells her "I told you so". María just sobs.

Isabel is on a bench on the street talking to herself anout how hard she tries to fight to be a hard woman that is moved by nothing but she just can't. It takes so much effort. Of course, Rocío deserves what she said to her but she feels guilty for having treated her that way. Her love for Facundo is changing her. She doesn't want to change. She is talking to herself. That is crazy. Her psychiatrist Dr. Mireya calls her on her cell phone. She is happy she called.

At the university at an outdoor café, Carmen is watching Francis and Felipe from a tanlr off in the distance. Francis sees her and gets all kissy with Felipe. Felipe is not so happy with the public kissing. Diego arrives and asks Carmen why she is putting herself throigh this. Francis is just provoking ner. Carmen knkows but she will do what she wants. Diego says he will show her he is the only one on her side. He grabs her by the arm and pulls her over to the table with Francis and Felipe. Once there, he tells Felipe all about the fake sonogram and how Francis lied to him.

At rhe psychiatrist's office, Dr. Mireya is asking Isabel to be completely honest and tell her how she has been feeling lately. Lately she has been feeling different things. She statts involuntarily snorting like a pig. She wants to braid her hair. She does not know herself anymore. She loves the little calf, Margarito, the chickens, the horse. She is going through a metamorphosis. She has no confidence in anything since she was born. It is as if she were another person born of another mother. Does not Isabel know that these could be symptoms of a psychosis? It could put her in very dangerous situations. Dr. Mireya has the cure! Some of the pills she used to take. Isabel refuses. She is told that when she herself realizes she is not well in her head, she herself will come back for the prescription.

This time, Felipe believes Diego and not Francis. She goes crazy. Felipe leaves. Francis goes running after him. Diego tells Carmen that if she still wants Felipe, he is available but he hopes she will stay with him. Catmen says she never asked him to do anything. He asks her if Felipe would have done the same for her.

Facundo is looking at the blueprints of the condominiums when Isabel walks in with the architect don Joaquín. Isabel explained the whole situation with him and Santiago to don Joaquín and yes, don Joaquín will work with him on the project. They are all happy!

Jarifa

No worries, Eva. Now you know.

Jarifa I'll get it fixed up when I'm at my computer. Now off to read the recap.

Such a great, detailed recap Jarifa. It sounds like it was a really full episode so thank you so much. I loved the nod to the theme song.

I'm glad to read that Rocío is starting to want to turn her life around.

Diego makes sense. Feli wouldn't listen to Carmen and thought she was lying. I think that is very telling.

Just brilliant, Jarifa. Thank you.

I was so happy to see Rocio take a positive step, wanting to work after that tender discussion with Beto. I really hope she's gone beyond the self destruct phase now, and can ignore Isa's snide comments.

Also loved Diego unmasking Francis and hope Carmen chooses to stay with him. And it shouldn't come as a surprise to her that Diego's parents don't want to come together to meet the Carmona's. He already told her about their bitter divorce. I'm not even sure if one of them is living with him and Andres. We never see them.

Stuff that made me mad/sad:

Facundo waxing poetic equally about Maria and Isa. Really, he can't tell that he's falling/fallen in love with Isa? How can he be so dismissive of Maria's feelings when he knows there's truth behind what she's feeling/sensing? It was so sad when Maria broke it down- he can't forgive her, and she can't forgive him. And as we know from Jacinto, that's just a road to more pain.

Hate that Isa is the one that brought Fac the coveted architect. More points in her favor in Fac's mind. Forget the fact that this woman is actively trying to destroy his marriage and disrespected his wife at every turn.

Go ahead, crazy psychiatrist. Drive Isa bonkers.

I felt the same as I read the recap. I'm harping, but I just can't find Isa likeable.

Thanks, Jarifa. Terrific recap.

Maria, get up out of that bed (and the kitchen and laundry room) and from under Facundo's thumb.

So Esteban and Isa's psyche are in cahoots. Isa is still a beyotch.

I am so done with Facundo. In a way I do hope he hooks up with Isa. She's a nutcase, with or without the pills, and he'd deserve all the crap that goes along with her.

I like Diego but he's too smooth. Feli is dumb right now but more sincere.

From Eva
Good first part and thanks sara i thought you new but yeah he does look just like rogelio Guerra i hope Carmen can forgive Diego he is changing i hope that Rocio changes for the better i think fac was being to harsh on Maria i felt bad for her but peretua told Maria what would happen hopefully they get it together and stop fighting

Another action packed episode. I just love the pace but am wondering if I will ever remember all the plot twists amd turns as we go on.
Thank you, Sara, for your continuing assistance. :)

Evangelina, it would be nice if Carmen could forgive Diego and end up with him rather than Felipe.

Vivi, yes, Facundo's reluctance to realize that he is falling for Isabel is frustrating. I felt so bad for María just wanting to hide and cry in her bed. It was the next day and she still was sobbing. Granny Perpétua was no help telling her she told her so; guess that was predictable.

Sara, I also hope that Carmen realizes that Felipe did always believe Francis before her. I liked Diego asking her if Felipe would have done the same for her. Carmen has a lot to think about. Just the way she says "Feli" whenever she talks about him though doesn't give me much hope.

Wow! Who would have thought that Esteban was the ladies man he is. I wonder where else he will pop up. Quite the plan to drive Isabel crazy. She is almost over the edge already. It should not take much. If she does go iver the edge, will that just garner more sympathy and attention from Facundo.

I hope that the "suffering Jacinto" subplot is solved already. The little guy just can't take the stress between Susana at school (which he has been complaining about for a good long time now) and the parental bickering/now full fledged fighting at home. Thank goidness there is Beto and Grandpappy Porfirio.

My favorite part was Facundo in the shower thinking about María and Isabel as his emotions and praying go full circle.

My least favorite part was Isabel getting brownie points with Facundo by bringing him the architect he wanted.

I am sure I will have more to say later.

Jarifa

Off topic, but BABY GOATS IN SWEATERS!!

https://youtu.be/yyL7L4J-M4s

Jarifa-I love the pacing of this too. Rarely a dull episode. I added the Eesteban/Psychiatrist plot to our list of info and mysteries.

Despite his rep as a ladies man, I am really rooting for Diego. I think he is sincere with Carmen mainly because he opened up to her about his parents. Unfortunately, Feli is being played by a bigger name actor, so I'm afraid Carmen and Feli are end game. I'm still going to hope that Diego wins out.

I also want them to move on with the Jacinto plot. It is very sad to watch. I can't remember who mentioned it, but I agree it was ridiculous to put him in a class with much older children. Just because he's bright doesn't mean he has the social skill needed to navigate MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED situations. Gosh, even the older kids can barely handle it.

Niecie-I'm also pretty done with Facundo. But Maria needs to start doing something or I'm going to be done with her, too.

Off Topic: anytime Facundo refers to his "María bonita" I am stuck in a loop of the Agustín Lara song "María bonita". Anyone else remember that song from way back when before I was born? Then I think of don Erasmo in LFMB and him making everyone listen to his Agustín Lara records. El eterno retorno. It never ends. Funny.

Sara, it was me who mentioned that they never should have promoted Jacinto just based on his intellectual skills. You are so right about middle school kids. You are also probably right about the bigger name actor getting the girl. Diego showed he could be his own man. Felipe has just been too wishy washy.

Thank you for the link. I am sure they will look precious!

Jarifa

OT - I love Augustin Laura!! And Maria Bonita is a great song. Sometimes I make my students listen to his music while we do independent work.

Stupid autocorrect. Lara.

Sort of on topic - the song that they play a lot and that was playing during Isa's black and white rancho daydream is sung by Ceci Flores (Susana.) It's called Mi Ranchito en la ciudad.

I like it!

Ay ay ay! Mi cochinito!

I keep reassuring myself that África Zavala wouldn't have taken the part of Maria if all she does is nag Facundo about Isa and cry. Fingers-crossed that she will take some better -- or at least, different -- steps soon.

Giving props to Santi for at least feeling bad about Maria's devastation at being found out. He told Isa that Maria's a good, honest woman who trusted him to keep their secret. There is most definitely hope for his redemption.

Thanks, Sara. That is interesting. The song is cute.

Hoping for a Margarito sighting tonight.

Jarifa

I'm watching the episode now and just got to the scene where Abuela and Beto are trying to get the wallowing Maria out of bed. I was telling her to get out of bed and suck it up and find her own bliss. I hope she listens and I hope you are right, Niecie. Africa has always played such strong characters. It's odd to see her so subservient.

I want Rocío to be a wildly successful designer or personal stylist.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Jarifa!

Forgot to say that Santi is infinitely more redeemable than most of the characters. I guess they are trying to show that Isa has remorse, but I still don't buy it.

Jarifa wonderful recap and i am sorry about that it won't happen again i am done with facu as well he just doesn't see that isa is ruening his marriage i felt bad for Maria facu didn't need to talk to her like that great now isa wins points with facu for the architect esteban is a lady's man he wants isa crazy i bet i no why because she lied to santi about the pics in his apartment i really want it to be Carmen and Diego feli always chooses to believe Francis even if feli and Carmen get together feli will still believe what Francis says unlike Diego won't he did fall for Carmen she's making him a better person i really do hope that Rocio is turning her life around and if things go south with beto she won't self destruct again the way isa fired that employee was wrong i just hope Maria can pick herself up and do something other than cook clean and cater to facu and i hope that the subplot of Jacinto ends soon poor thing

Niecie, since I like his character so much, I sure hope Santiago is salvageable. He may be a scroundrel but he does love his children. Maybe if he weren't so hopelessly in love with Isabel he wouldn't be so inclined to get into unsavory business dealings always looking for another way to make a buck for her to spend. Just a thought.

Jarifa

Eva, no problem. It's hard to know the ins and outs when you are new anywhere. I would love to see María out of the house involved in some business of her own with hired help doing the housework and Granny Perpétua only cooking when she feels like it.

Jarifa

I really hope the writers don't fail us on Maria, keeping her home crying. We should all realize though that Maria finding her independence outside of the house would not stop the fights. In fact, it will likely increase them.

Vivi, you sure got that right. Facundo wants things to go back to how they were and María's independence would be just one more reminder that that is not happening.

Jarifa

Eva-No te preocupes, amiga :-)

At this point, I almost want the two of them do get divorced...but I think that would destroy Maria and the kids.

I'm leaning toward divorce too. I see no plus in Maria staying with Facundo. He's got a thing for Isa, despite Isa's big lie about them sleeping together and blackmail and her openly insulting and disrespecting his wife. But to him, Maria's deception (for a good reason that he well knows) is unforgivable. Basta ya.

Honestly, I can't even see any affection between Fac and Maria any more.

Jarifa thanks yes i want that to for Maria to be successful and for preptua just to cook when she wants and to have hired help and Sara gracias amiga yes most likely Maria and facu will get a divorce and that will destroy Maria and the kids i hope santi is redeemable isa isn't i guess the writer's want us to like isa

Oh gosh, I'm listening to my local NPR as I work, and they are talking about the horrible effects divorce has on kids of any age.

I do NOT think Maria and Facu will divorce. These Mexican tns take divorce very seriously, and a couple like Maria and Facundo, married in the Church, never get divorced in tns. They may come close though.

Oh I'm sure they won't divorce. It's just so hard to imagine how they will come back from this.

It's actually comforting to know by Mexican TN rules that a divorce is unlikely. I don't want them divorced but I'm sick and tired of Facundo's treatment of Maria, so maybe there's hope of him changing for the better.

Quick comments before reading the recap/comments.

OK Fac, there’s your excuse for shtupping Isa. Also, YOU feel betrayed. You’ve been lusting after Isa since day one and YOU feel betrayed?!

Frankly, I don’t get Isa’s appeal. She has three guys lusting after her. She’s pretty much useless, she drinks like a fish and acts like a fishwife.

And she hates Rocio for some reason. She fired her assistant so Rocio could work there and made sure she got that point across. What a B.

Another scene with too cute animals that had me not paying attention to the actors. I was watching the little blond goat skirt his/her way around the feed bucket trying not to fall in the pool and the bigger goats pushing him out of the way. I think he eventually got to eat. Abuelo and Jacinto were having a heart-to-heart, but I was watching the goats. Maybe, they should take Jacinto to the doctor since it seems to be happening during the day, too. Just to make sure it’s nothing physical, though it’s probably all the stress the poor little guy is under.

Frances got moded!!!! Love you, Diego.

Nanette

There is always hope for facu to change you see this tn is good but according to Wikipedia isa santi Maria and facu are the protagonist so i am wondering if facu and Maria really stay together or if facu stays with isa same with santi and Maria i guess that's why it's called amores con trampa

Thank you so much Jarifa. The episodes are going so fast I would miss half without the details you give us. Was it last night when Santi said to Isa that she's never at her boutique. This may give Rocio the chance to shine (and maybe hire back that poor girl that Isa fired) and make a go of the business without even having Santi bankroll it. And, I really think Maria's downward spiral is going to end (at least it better) and that she will get a grip and start to shine too as an independent woman. Facu tho has a really long way to go and as much as it would tear apart the kids, he needs to get out of the house for now. He almost borders on abusive and violent behavior. I'm on the fence with Santi being redeemed, and just.no to Isa being redeemed.

Wonderful recap!

If I was Maria, I would go to Aunt Humilde's and have a great "think" on the whole situation. Map out what I want, what I'm willing to give up and plan a course of action. She needs time outside of the situation to clear her head.

Anon 12:48, sure agree about for Facundo's borderline violent behavior. It really bothered me when he held Maria's face in his hand as he was being so sarcastic to her.

Carvivlie, I like the idea of Maria going to get some think time at Tia Humilde's days place. She definitely needs to get away to clear her head in a neutral environment.

Jarifa

Eva: if you don't want to read any spoilers, stay away from Wiki. They're job is to give as much info as they can--which includes things we haven't seen yet.

Nanette right i just went to it before the tn even started because i wanted to no who are the other actors besides itati and ey and el az i don't read spoilers because i like to find out as the tn go's so i don't no what happens thanks for the advice

Just finished the excellent recap. Thanks so much Jarifa. Now onto the comments. But just have to post before reading them.

So because Isa is in luuuuuuv, it’s OK for her to go after Fac. I’m really getting to despise this character. Any sympathy I have for her is rapidly disappearing. I’d like to see Santi redeem himself and Isa end up with Esteban.

I’m liking Esteban’s idea about driving Isa crazy(er).

I just have to say “thank God for Abuelo”. He’s really wise and good in dealing with Jacinto. Seems like only Beto and he are the ones parenting Little J.

Isa and the boutique scene as well as the scene with Rocio begging for a chance. What a miserable human being Isa is. I know there’s something in her past that’s causing her a lot of pain, but she needs to own her responsibility in how she’s handling it. Her striking out at everyone and her hubris in trying to take Fac away from Maria is disgusting.

OK, I’m torn. Does Isa really mean that she hates what she’s become and wants to be better?

Isa bringing Joaquin in was a stroke of genius. Fac will see Isa as helping him and, Maria as not.

Sara: I have a genius nephew who they wanted to skip a couple of grades or so but my brother and sister-in-law didn’t do it because he wasn’t advanced emotionally. He turned out awesome.

Fac and Maria probably won’t divorce, but I’ll admit that if Fac has an affair with Isa, I won’t feel the same about this TN. It will have been soiled a little for me.

Eva: you’re welcome. Even IMDb can be spoilerish because sometimes they have names for the eps that give plot points away, or so I've been told.

Love this group that loves this TN.

Nanette, the reason for Isabel's unrelenting nastiness to everyone but Facundo is a mystery. I cannot wait until we get the whole backstory about her and her sister.

Jarifa

Jarifa: I can't wait either!! Woe be it to Isa when Rocio finds out. It's seems like it's connected to her.

Nanette thanks i won't be going to imdb for this tn and i am glad i actually found people who like this tn at first i was hesitant to watch it but i am glad that i did because it turned out to be good i don't think Emilio la rosa has ever done a bad tn i can't wait unit tonight to see what happens

It really is and I know they won't get divorced. But I am very frustrated by their behavior and something has to change and ya.

You said shtupping. Hee hee! I love that word.

Frankly, I don’t get Isa’s appeal. She has three guys lusting after her. She’s pretty much useless, she drinks like a fish and acts like a fishwife.

IKR??? She is completely unappealing to me right now. She is odious. Was she ever nice to the kids?

Another scene with too cute animals that had me not paying attention to the actors.

Animals, knitting and crochet = my attention kryptonite.

I’m really getting to despise this character.

Let's set up a We Hate Isa picnic table. I'll sit with you.

And I loved your story about your nephew. Thank you for sharing. Honestly I don't understand why schools think putting smart kids with higher grades is a good idea. Were you the one that said "Get a tutor?" (Geez, I can't keep up with who says what.) IMO really smart kids don't need school drudgery with older kids. They need trips to aquariums and libraries (and an awesome librarian) and playing in the mud and relationships with adults and….oh wait. That's almost all kids.

i am wondering if facu and Maria really stay together or if facu stays with isa same with santi and Maria i guess that's why it's called amores con trampa

I've actually sort of wondered the same.

PS: I'm glad you hate spoilers as much as I do. Yuck. Takes all of the fun away.

i am glad i actually found people who like this tn at first i was hesitant to watch it but i am glad that i did because it turned out to be good i don't think Emilio la rosa has ever done a bad tn i can't wait unit tonight to see what happens

I'm so glad you found us, too! It's so much fun to watch with friends.

And, I really think Maria's downward spiral is going to end (at least it better) and that she will get a grip and start to shine too as an independent woman.

I hope so too. It's one of the main reasons I tune in.

If I was Maria, I would go to Aunt Humilde's and have a great "think" on the whole situation. Map out what I want, what I'm willing to give up and plan a course of action. She needs time outside of the situation to clear her head.
I think this is brilliant advice and would also make for great story telling! I kind of hope that happens.
Jarifa said:
Anon 12:48, sure agree about for Facundo's borderline violent behavior. It really bothered me when he held Maria's face in his hand as he was being so sarcastic to her.
That scene bordered on scary to me. I really hate that you had to recap that.
... the reason for Isabel's unrelenting nastiness to everyone but Facundo is a mystery. I cannot wait until we get the whole backstory about her and her sister.
I echo Nanette when I say I can't wait either!
And I have to echo Nanette again I love this group that loves this TN, too!!

crud. Flubbed the formatting. Sorry.

Eva: I wasn’t sure I’d like this one either. Really only tuned in because I wasn’t interested in the 7:00 one and the 10:00 one was too far along (or maybe that’s the other way around) when Mi Corazon es Tuyo ended. Not sure if I’ve ever seen a Larosa TN. I’m pretty new to TNs and I’ve watched mostly drama.

Sara: no I’m not the one who said get a tutor, but it makes more sense to do that than throw a elementary school age child in a middle-school environment. I get that high IQ kids can get bored with their classes, but throwing them into a social setting they’re not equipped for can be worse—in my opinion. Save me a seat at the WHI table.

I agree i don't read spoilers because i love mystery i have a sister who lives in Mexico i tell her not to tell me about any tn because i just want to check it out for myself the one that i did watch online was ecdlp because i didn't and don't think that univision will put it on i am so glad i found friends to watch this tn with

Nanette Emilio larosa tns are pretty good i can recommend you some if you want the one at 10 didn't really interest me either mi corazon es tuyo was good i didn't watch it all because i worked to much and yeah putting Jacinto in middle school was a bad idea he is a smart kid but doesn't mean he is emotionally ready to be with older kids

Eva: Thanks. I’d love to know about the other Larosa TNs. Our friends in Mexico are great about letting us know how the TNs are doing there. That’s always interesting.

Nanette that is good that the mexico friends tell you where the tns are ok the good one is mujer de madera las villas del amor amigas y rivales mujeres enganiadas dos hogares and soniadoras

Recap will be up later tonight/early a.m. It's another good episode!

Jarifa

Thanks jarifa you will do a good job like always

Looking forward to it Jarifa though I must say I was very disappointed with the ending.

#44 5/27/15. "The Dust Settles . . . Sort of"

Part 1

We start off this "fallout" episode at the Carmona offices where Beto arrives after his first day of classes at the university. He walks in on Facundo, the arquitect don Joaquín and, of course, Isabel. Beto sees Isabel weakly waving at him and says he is not the only one that has news.

At school, Susana is trying to make up with Jacinto. She wants to share his lunch he is eating. He tells her to eat it and tries to leave. She doesn't know how many times she has to apologize to him for what she did. He says it doesn't matter. A classmate invites Susana to come and play with their group. Susana tells him her problems and he tells her Jacinto will forgive her eventually. He says her she is the prettiest girl there, kisses her on the cheek and her cheeks "animate" to a bright pink, She is one happy chamaca.

Back at the office, the new architect is introduced to Beto. All the thanks for his participation in the project goes to Isabel who set it all up. Facundo instructs Beto to take don Joaquín to get the paper work done. That leaves Isabel alone with Facundo. Facundo tells Isabel he doesn't know what to say to her in reference to getting don Joaquín as part of the project. She says to just take her out to eat and she will be fine with that. That catches Facundo off guard. She says they have a lot to talk about, he owes her; she'll behave; and they are off arm in arm. He looks charmed. On the way out she ask him if he will give her an apple out of a basket of fruit. She grabs one and bites it. (Hmmmmm is all I can say)

At school Jacinto overhears Alejandra talking anout him and how the beautiful things he writes are way beyond his age. Too bad he is still a baby. He says in a soft voice that even little kids have feelings and that he can do all the things older boys can do like milking cows or riding a horse like his dad.

On the way out of the offices, Facundo and Isabel run into Santiago. She doesn't have to take her arm out of Facundo's because of him. He wants to know wny the arquitect is back. Facundo tells him that HIS/Santiago's wife convinced him to come back and work for Facundo. Santiago is not happy and angrily goes to his office where he starts poking around with a broom, knocking things down wondering how she dared to do that. Isabel comes in dancing and humming. Santiago says look what I found, presenting her with the broom: your vehicle. Nothing can bring Isabel down. She appears to be looking for something in his office. They start insulting each other. She makes fun of his office and tells him soon he'll be cleaning the bathroom. He wants to know how she got the arquitect to work for that dog killer? It makes Facundo look like a heroe and what about him? Then he puts it all together: she did it to get in good with the dog rider. He tells her she is looking a little fatter. They go on and on until she grabs a file and leaves.

At the Velasco's, goofy Francis is still chasing Felipe. Her new excuse for the pregnancy lie is that Carmen put a spell ln her Didn't he know they were all witches? He tells he he does not want to see her; for her to go and not to humilliate herself any more. He deserves a chance with Carmen and he is going to take it.

Now we are are at an outdoor café with Isabel and Facundo where Isabel is saying that she thought Facundo was not going to go to lunch with her. He says the truth of the matter is he does not know what he is doing there but he is indeed a gentleman. Furthermore, he says with a smile, she helped him out with the architect. She wants to know if he holds any ill will towards her. Now why would he ever hold any ill will towards her he says smirking when she only drugged him, helped her husband to rob him, is destroying his marriage, etc.

Part 2

Facundo tells Isabel that he will not be her decoy. That is why this is just lunch and nothing more. She says she know that she made a lot of mistakes but that was in the past. Now sneer wants to do things the right way. She tries to find out how things are with him and María and he tells her it is none of her business. She has bit off a large piece of raw pepper and is suffering so he shows her how to cool her mouth down by offering her a little salt and lime on his hand which she happily licks off. She wants to know if he still hates her. Shenis beginning tonthink the whole lunch thing was a mistake and gets up to go? He asks her how could he let her just leave like that. She wants to set things straight with him and tells him about the special affection she has for him and does not know what to do formhim to forgive her. He says that she doesn't have to do anything. It is not that big of a deal. She didn't try to kill him and she said her husband forced her to do those things. He tells her to calm down, not to be upset and gives her a big hug. She makes sure that the hug last longer than intended.

Santiago has a visitor and it is Estefany who appears in his office. She was looking for him for a half hour and could not find him. He says it is because that dog rider sent him off to the farthest corner of his company. She tells him not to worry. He has a "voz impotente"(impotent voice) she meant "voz imponente" (imposing voice.) She tells him he looks big, strong, handsome, the best. He is still upset about Facundo and he tells her that Facundo is going to pay him back for everything he has done to him soon. Facundo is also going tto find out that Licenciado Velasco (he himself) is a very hard nut to crack. He also has it in for Facundo because he tried to do business with his friend one of the best arquitects of the country. He is going to boycott his business. It is better to be close to the enemy. That is why he is keeping his offices there. Estefany wants to help out. He says no eventhough it is good to know he has a snake by his side.
She suggests that he hire her to work with him so they have four eyes watching Facundo not just two.

Carmen is out collecting chicken eggs in the coop when Felipe arrives and wants to talk. She brings him inside. The problem is Diego is already there. She tries to give Diego the bum's rush telling Felipe that Diego was just leaving. Neither Diego nor Felipe are happy with the other's presence. Felipe tells Carmen he is done with Francis. Diego and Felipe want her to choose one of them right there on the spot. She tells them both to go. She can't just choose like that. She has a test to study for. They both have their good points and bad points. After they both leave, Carmen smiles and thinks aboit the things that happen to us "models."

Rocío stops by with some lunch for Beto at the Carmona offices. Both are doing well. He is at first happy to see her then gets nervous and tells her that she should have called; that they have to watch themselves because of their parents. She is not happy with that which prompts him to tell her that he will tell his dad that he will be with her Rocío if his dad likes it or not. Of course, Facundo hears the "dad like it or not part" and comes in to investigate. Facundo wants him to repeat what he said but Beto has lost his nerve. Beto tells Rocío to leave. After all sort of stops and starts Beto tells Facundo that he is sorry but this time he will be going against Facundo"s wishes: nobody or nothing will keep him from his Rocío. Facundo leaves in a huff. Beto has a self satisfied smile.

Part 3

Out in the hallway, Estefany is trying to sneak by Isabel. No such luck. Isabel wants to know why she is there. Estefany tells her that from today on she has every right to be there. Isabel insults her telling her that the botox from her face must have traveled to her brain. Santiago arrives on the scene and tells "his dear puchis" that from today on she has to respect Estefany. Isabel wants security called to take Estefany away. Santiago tells her the leftover is her: Isabel and that they can remove her because from today on Estefany works there. She is his new personal assistant. As Isabel is going crazy, Santiago is happy. Isabel insists she will not permit it. He tells her that she never asked his permission when she went against him and went for Facundo. Isabel does not want to hear it. Estefany is his professional confident. Estefany just hangs all over Santiago during all of this. Isabel wants to know who will pay her. Facundo will never agree to it. Santiago says it does not matter what Facundo thinks. He is going to pay Estefany out of his own funds. Isabel accuses him of being there in front of her with her lover. Lover? Santiago won't tell her if Estefany is or not his loverr because he knows doubt kills her, corrodes her, makes her blow up inside. If you want a slave. Have a secret. Isabel is now his slave. Isabel is ot happy.

Isabel goes running to Facundo who goes running to Santiago. As long as Santiago is paying Estefany out of his own pocket, Facindo not care less. Neveretheless, Facundo does not trust him and they agree they will be watching each other.

Back up at the Carmona house, Jacinto tells Susana he will forgive her if she makes Alejandra notice him. Susana tries to explain the you are just a little kid thing one more time. She is also interested in things other than random square roots. Being as smart as an older kid should count for something is Jacinto's answer. He wants Susanato first say that she wants to help him, if not he will never forgive her. She will help him and he figures out a square root in his head.

Santiago appears at María's house to apologize for what happened and to let her know that Facundo and Isabel went out to lunch together. He invited her to go out to lunch all alone with him as a thank you for setting him up with the architect. María is all upset. She tells him to get out and granny Perpétua throws him out. María believes she has lost Facundo for good. Granny says it will all work out. María has had it and has made a decision.

Isabel has a nice long talk about Facundo with her designer friend Frederick. They have been friends from the time they were little kids.
The whole Facundo thing is make her wicked. She is the "bad one" in the movie. She does not want to be evil.

María has decided to pack up and take the two younger kids and Granny back to the country. Beto and carmen will stay in the city because of school and work. They are waiting for the taxi. María is nervous and want to go asap. No time to say good bye to dad. They can call him later. Here there is a Margarito sighting in Granny's arms.

Part 4

Isabel is telling Frederick that she would do anything for Facundo because he is the love of her life. He thinks she is falling in a love trap. He thinks she is completely trapped. She agrees she feels like she is in one of those grizzly bear traps. Then she starts thinking about those big old strong old bears like . . . Facundo. Frederick thinks she is crazier than he imagined. She wants to know what to do to make Facundo fall in love with her without hurting anyone else. Frederick says it is a little late for that. Now she should think only about how she is not going to hurt herself. He sees her in between jail and the insane asylum. What is she going to do.? She has a family but she feels so alone. The only one who can calm her solitude is Facundo. Frederick has a new love of his own and tells Isanel how they met. She tells him he needs to quit meeting people on the internet. It is dangerous. The conversation comes to an end. He tells Isabel when she has made up her mind what she is going to do with Facundo, to give him a call.

The kids and María are all packed up and waiting by the door for the cab. Granpappy Porfirio wishes he were going back to the country where some fine girl would be waiting for him. He and Granny have a good old time exchanging age related minsults. Unfortunately he does not keep Granny busy enough because she has enough time to call Facundo to let him know what is going on so he can come right home and stop María from leaving with the kids. Grandpappy's talking about there only being one step between hate and love is what gets Granny moving to make the call. She tells Facundo that once María takes this step there won't be any coming back.

Facundo gets tied up arm in arm with Estefany trying to leave work to get home and beat out the cab. He grabs Beto and they are off. At the house, Granny is telling María to think about the crazy thing she is doing. María gets in the cab with the kids. Isabel is wattching María go !!! The taxi never gets to leave because Facundo has arrived and throws himself on the windshield to stop it. He tells María to get out of the cab and wants to know where she is taking HIS kids.

Jarifa

Jarifa, terrific recap. You got it all - I remain amazed.

I can feel Maria's suffocation. She needs fresh air and a break in the country. But was she really taking off with Susanna and Jacinto for good, or was she just taking a little vacation? She only had two small bags for the three of them, right?

I just hope this confrontation doesn't cause Jacinto to wet his pants.

So Isa says she's a good person, but she was in total glee seeing Maria leave in the taxi looking sad with her younger kids. Can't stand that beyotch.

Oh and Facundo has to give Isa opportunities for hugging, arm holding, and hand licking. Puhleeze!

On the plus side, yay Beto and Rocio are back together and Carmen didn't take Feli back right away.

Bravo, Jarifa! So much wonderful detail.

I found myself getting angry again, remembering Fac being so jovial with Isa, and even listing her UNFORGIVABLE crimes and acting like they are no big deal. Having her lick the salt off his hand! Meanwhile, Maria is persona non grata for telling Santi where a few meetings were happening. Gosh, I just wanted to slap Fac so badly!

Then Perpetua ticked me off. Let Maria make her decision and quit butting in. It's not like Fac wouldn't have known where Maria went with the kids when he go back home. They are clearly going to Humilde's house. They kids aren't going to be in danger. My blood is just going to boil, I know it, when we have to watch Fac scold Maria like a child, and everyone take his side because they want to stay in the city and don't know all the other carp going on that's forcing Maria to leave.

I was also happy that Carmen didn't take either guy back. Feli didn't seem near contrite enough to me. He just assumed she'd want him back and it was all up to him. Think again, jerk.

One more thing, before running off to work-- Perpetua thinks it's just awful for Maria to betray Fac's trust and call Santi behind his back, but it's ok for her to betray Maria's trust and call Facu behind her back? Hypocrite!

Niecie, that lunch scene between Facundo and Isabela was something else. Facundo sure is the master of sending mixed messages. The hand licking was so funny. Made Isabel look like a dog.

Vivi, Granny really got on my nerves, too. It simply was not her call to make. Also, she should feel the most loyalty to her daughter not her son in law no matter what.

My favorite scene last night was Santiago telling Isabel how it was going to be with Estefany hanging all over him. I have enjoyed Estefany's snakey qualities and loved when Santiago called her a snake last night. The best part was that there was nothing that Isabel could do about it. I wonder if she has realized money spent on Estefany's salary won't be hers to spend.

I also liked Carmen realizing there were two boys fighting over her. That should help her self esteem.

Jarifa

I am totally with you Vivi! I was so angry with how Fac was treating Isa ( she has made it known to the world she is trying to destroy his marriage) and then wanted to kill Perpetu when she called him. She should be putting her daughter's needs first. And then when Fac jumped on the taxi he was yelling at her, ordering her like a child. If he was saying " I love you don't leave" I may feel differently but he wasn't. Now I wonder if he is just mad that she has the children and doesn't mind if she leaves? He told her to go if she wanted and he deserves it if she does. Gosh I really hope she gets out of that house. It's like a prison for her. I feel suffocated watching her.

Jarifa thank you for the awesome recap! My blood was boiling so much I forgot to tell you in my first comment.

Excellent point, Carvivlie, if Facundo had thrown himself on the car to get María to stay it would have been a different situation. No such luck.

Jarifa

Also, I was happy that Beto finally had the courage to stand up to Facundo about Rocío. It was nice seeing him finally come into his own.

Jarifa

I have to give Beto props for the way he looked at Isa when she was in the office with Facundo. It's clear Beto knows Isa with his dad is a source of trouble. Beto didn't have an over the top "you slut!" look on his face, but it was clear that he doesn't trust Isa and really didn't want to leave his dad alone with her to attend to the architect. Nice subtle job by the actor.

Facundo better watch how he talks to Maria in front of the kids. If he goes off badly, he'll lose respect.

Many thanks, Jarifa! I never got around to watching the episode last night, but it doesn't matter. I got to enjoy your delicious and detailed recap. It was wonderful.

One more thing (isn't there always?)I loved Santiago making Isabel suffer on purpose by not telling her that he and Estefany were lovers or not. That should help Esteban with his "drive Isabel crazy plan", too.

Jarifa

Neither Isa nor Santi mentioned to Fac that the "personal assistant" is Ester-Mary (Estefani). I wonder how he'll react to that, knowing that Stefi was HIS accomplice on the German buyer thing.

Jarifa- Yes, I also loved how Santi made Isa suffer a bit, not confirming nor denying that Stefi is his lover. Kind of how Fac is driving Maria bonkers, neither confirming nor denying his feelings for Isa.

Good point, Vivi about Facundo not knowing "who" the personal assistant is. You mention some interesting parallels with these characters.

Jarifa

Thank you Jarifa !! I'm hoping that tonight will be a turning point for Maria like it was for Beto defying his father. I'd like Maria to calmly tell Fecundo to get off the taxi so they don't run over him, then simply leave. Maybe soon Fecu will realize he's not the God of the universe he thinks he is and begin to treat people with the respect they deserve.

fa: extra special thank you for the awesome recap. I needed it. I stupidly messed up my recording last night and only caught the last couple of minutes.

Eva: From yesterday. Thanks for the list.

Isa's talk with Fred about Fac. I wanted to throw up.

Hated Isa’s smug look when she saw Maria leaving.

Did Fac really say “his kids”?! THIS MEANS WAR!!!!!!

Vivi: I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so riled before ☺

Would Granny’s behavior be accepted in Mexico? Are we supposed to be rooting her on?

Jarifa: “I wonder if she has realized money spent on Estefany's salary won't be hers to spend.”—wondered the same thing. Also, I don’t see Carmen as having a self-esteem problem. She’s pretty spoiled by her dad and the modeling thing is going a little to her head. I’m afraid she’ll prolong the rivalry between her two swains because she might be getting off on the power.

I think of all the scenes I missed last night, I’m most bummed at missing the one where Beto stands up to Fac about Rocio. :(

Jarifa awesome recap as always i swear my blood pressure is through the roof with isa and facu i mean come on isa drugged facu made him think that they slept together then made him sign with the company trying to destroy his marriage but yet facu can forgive isa but he can't forgive Maria for telling santi about a couple of board meetings and the dinner with the architect i hope Maria does does maybe it will teach facu a lesson es un machista de lo peor and isa eating chilly was funny isa doesn't want to hurt anyone yeah right que se lo quera su abuela and her talking to Frederick and he even thinks isa is crazy and Susana helping Jacinto is good i hope he wins ale over yay we saw margarito and prepetua i have no words for you don't do that to your own daughter she is supposed to take Maria side not facu but when Maria finds out it was her mom she is going to be hurt o my porfidio is to funny i am glad that Carmen didn't choose anyone yet feli thinking Carmen is just going to get with him after everything yeah right i still hope it's Diego that Carmen chooses but i guess the actor with the bigger name wins and i loved beto standing up to facu for Rocio Nanette you are very welcome enjoy those tns

Nanette- I guess double standards and machismo are among my pet peeves. :)

I'm watching the episode right now. I'm loving the scene when Rocío brings Beto lunch. He is so happy she's working and she is so proud of his first day at the University. And the best part? She sold a lot of things at the boutique and she said about herself "I'm pretty good at it."

I'm happy she feels like she is good at something.

Niecie- you are right about Beto. The actor is doing a great job. I loved the scene where he stood up to Facundo. He was firm, but didn't play it over the top.

I enjoy the Beto scenes and the Santi scenes the most.

Nanette, interesting question about the acceptability of Granny's meddling.

Eva, guess the machista theme still hits a nerve because they unfortunately still exist north and south of the border and all around the world.

Sara, I hope that Beto and Rocìo end up together, Glad you are getting to see episode.

Jarifa

I'm hoping the same, Jarifa.

Fac did not look sad or worried when he jumped on that cab. He just looked angry. I definitely don't expect to hear and "I love you. Please stay." Carvivlie is right. All Fac was mad about was Maria taking "his kids." Heck, he's probably only upset about Jacinto. He *is* a boy.

But it was funny how Fac twirled Estefany and Beto when he was trying to leave the office.

Yep, Fac looked angry instead of sad. I think deep down he wants to nurture his anger to blunt the guilt he feels about getting with Isa. After 20 years, he knows that Maria is a good and faithful woman who must've been in dire straits to make a deal with Santi, but he doesn't want to think about that.

OOO. That's an interesting assessment. It makes a lot of sense.

Am I the only one who always felt some romantic tension between Porfirio and Perpetua?

Sara- I definitely felt it last night when they both looked like they were about to kiss. I think they were both disturbed by the feeling.

Hang on a minute. I just thought of something. Perpetua wasn't in the cab, was she? Maria was just going to leave her mother there?! Maybe that's why she called Fac? She didn't want to be left with ALL the chores AND Porfirio?

Sara, Perpetua was in the cab. She was sitting upfront next to the driver.

Whew! Ok. I missed that. I was so focused on the three in the back seat.

Thank you Carvivlie! I remember now I was mulling over the Pepto Bismol pink cab.

Sara: the pink cab kind of took my attention, too.

http://www.mexperience.com/blog/?p=4380

An article about taxi cab colors in Mexico City. I was struck by the pink taxi because they used to always be red and gold in the TNs I'd seen before. Apparently they are changing colors.

Sara,
you are not the only one that saw some romance tension between Porfirio and Perpetua. Porfirio said something about there being only one step between hatred and love and she got mad and turned around and headed to the kitchen in a huff repeating 'only one step! between hatred and love!' absolutely! that IS how i saw it too!

Glad I wasn't the only one! Since the beginning I kept thinking they argued a little too much ya know?
