La Sombra del Pasado, Capítulo 93, 2015: Ok, so this is happening…Or not. aka Say what?!

Recap courtesy of HellaShelle

”Short of It” at the end
The Long of It: Aldonza and Cris kiss it out and then sit because the man is using a cane. Cris tells Aldie he went to find Eman. He didn’t, but Eman won a competition, so yay. He found out about the sibling lie when he spoke to Dom. Aldie tells him they think his parents messed with the test he ordered, but they’re not sure.

Now that Silvia and Ren’s drama is on simmer, Pato has time to bring flowers to the ribbon shop. Irma’s glad he’s back because Lola’s a bit down. “Emmanuel?” “Emmanuel.” Pato’s ready to kick E’s delightful butt, but Irma tells him to slow his roll. It’s not worth it and the dude skipped town anyway. Irma’s totally Team Pato and Pato wants to take this thing with Lola all the way. He whispers his definition of that to Irma, who doesn’t slap him across the face, so it must be the other kind of “all the way.”

Lola is busy with Mari, reminding me of why I could cheerfully leave both of them on the side of the road. Mari starts by saying she’s put what Lola did behind her. Say what? Lola asks. She just came to talk, not to apologize. If anyone should be apologizing, it’s Mari. They go back and forth about who stole what kiss and what boyfriend and who’s jealous of who and, honestly, who even cares because they both need to go to the time out table and Mary needs to go to the time out therapy couch because she knows she’s a big ol’ lyin’ liar and she still—

Ok, sorry. Back on track. Mari makes a low blow comment about how she at least has a mom and hers isn’t a whore, so Lola slaps her. Mari slaps back and we have a middle school hair pulling wrestling match better fit for a junior high cafeteria than Irma and Uriel’s lovely home.

At PJ’s lovely home, it turns out Tomas only has trouble cleaning up his room. PJ’s house is already spotless when Lulu comes to straighten up. (I smell a Fin romance…)

Aldie continues filling Cris in on the mass. She worries about what his parents will do to PJ legally, but then she and Cris get distracted by kissing again. “I knew my heart couldn’t be deceiving me.” Cris says. “I knew I was right, from the beginning.” Aldi thought the same (say what?!). More kissing.

Lulu and Tomas review the Ten Commandments. Tomas is good on, maybe, four of them. Lulu thinks he’d better confess or he’s going straight to Hell.

Pato and Irma continue their chat. Irma’s just saying how she loves Lola like a daughter, and she’s such a sweet girl, when Lola rolls in, looking very disheveled and with a bloody lip. Irma starts the first aid, but Lola, a little embarrassed, tells her to go help Mari because she’s apparently in worse shape.

Ok, this next scene is hard, but I’m going to try to capture the subtleties. Cut to Val’s guest bedroom. The shower’s going in the background. Sev’s voice asks if he can come in. When Val doesn’t answer, he enters. There’s a nightie laid out on the bed. He fingers it gently, lifts it to his nose and smells it. He puts it down. Val comes out of the bathroom clothed (Thank God) in a different nightie. She ties her robe as she asks what’s up, looking slightly, but appropriately weirded out that he’s there. He looks a little shaken too. He just wanted to welcome her to the house. He leaves abruptly and she notices her nightie’s been moved.

Candela sits cross-legged on the floor, jerkily going through the pictures in her memory box. Dom comes in with some tea and asks if she’s looking for photos of PJ to burn. Of course she is! It’s the least he deserves after what he did to her! She thought he was an honest man, incapable of- Dom’s like, “what? Telling the truth?” Dom says whenever something’s working in Cande’s favor, it’s good; when it’s not, she’s all offended. Cande, predictably, doesn’t want to hear it, but Dom tells her anyway: she’s the only one responsible for this. Cande literally throws a fit, knocking the tea off the table and screaming at Dom to leave her alone! She wants to be alone! No one should bother her unless it’s about Cris. (Oh yeah? Be careful what you wish for, you crazy shrew.) Dom leaves and Cande cries. Why did PJ do this to her? Why him? She curses the day she fell in love with him. Dom listens sadly on the other side of the door.

Irma’s tending to Mari's scrapes and bruises, telling her she and Lola really got out of hand. Mari says Lola started it, but Irma points out that Mari insulted her mom. Mari says she only told the truth, same as PJ. (say what?! Sweetie, do NOT compare yourself to Padre Jeronimo. Just…no.) Irma says it’s not the same and Mari gets all annoyed, saying she always takes Lola’s side. No wonder Lola told her Irma loves her more than Mari. (say what?! Ooh! This girl lies like she breathes!) Irma’s struck; Lola said that? Yeah, and obviously it’s true. Mari stomps off to her room.

Lola’s still ready to give Mari a beat down. She tells Pato he must think she’s a wild nut and that’s why he didn’t want to get back together. No, he just didn’t want to give himself false hope about somebody who’s not really into him. Lola says that’s not true, she likes him a lot. He treated her so well, but she was blinded by her love for Eman. She couldn’t see what was right in front of her. An honest, good man…him. She didn’t deserve him. She treated him so badly and- He shushes her (way cuter when it’s not Sev) and says that of course she deserves him. He goes in for the kiss, but her lip’s still busted, so he softens the kisses down her cheek and gently works his way back to her mouth.

Aldonza helps Cris to the door. She offers to take him home, since she’s going to see Silvia, but he says he’ll ask Don Camilo to call Mel for him. They lost a whole five minutes of kissing talking about people, so they need to make up for it in the mean time. Aldonza gives him back his scapular, which she’s been wearing around her neck. Cris asks her to swear that no one will separate them again, that she’ll stay with him forever. She swears.

Joaquin fills Adelina in on the Flavia situation. Same arguments and reassurances. He even shushes her, Sev style (again, not creepy when Not Sev does it). She pulls away from his kiss. She’s still sweating the exhumation, but Joaquin, no knowing why, thinks she’s ahogando en un vaso de agua (=drowning in a cup of water; making a mountain out of a mole hill). Adelina agrees (very unconvincing) and takes off because it’s getting late (not even a kiss goodbye? This lady really hasn’t ever had a boyfriend, huh).

Pru’s getting a little sloshed in Val’s room. She misses her baby, can’t she come home? What’s Pru supposed to do all alone, with Humberto for God’s sake. (And you wonder why your marriage is falling apart?). No, Val insists she can’t miss this chance to get close to Cris. Why, Pru asks, since she’s got the whole baby angle? Val needs to work on their relationship before dropping that bomb and she’s got to get his mind off Aldi. Pru suggests that maybe Val can convince Cande to let Pru move in too? Yeah, no. Val squashes that. Pru says things are terrible with Hum. Having a lover’s probably not helping, Val points out. Pru tells her to drop that, someone might hear! Anyway, she’ll end that relationship, but in her own time. And it’s between her and Tomas, so Val shouldn’t get involved again. They’ll just keep each other’s secrets.

Aldonza and Silvia catch up a little, then talk business. Silvia needs the death certificates to exhume Ray and Baby Alcocer. Al will get them to her asap.

…Or not. Since Adelina burns them!

The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed. Or chicken or something, I can’t tell. If Cris doesn’t get back in the next 24 hours, they’ll have to take further action, maybe hire a PI. No need, Cris assures them, strolling in. They want to know where the hell he’s been, but he’s the one that wants some answers. QTH with the sibling lie?!

Tomas wants to help out at the church while he looks for work to earn his keep (say what? Wow.) PJ thinks that’s a good idea. And then the cops show up to arrest him.

Cande insists that they never said he and Aldie were siblings. Just that they might be. And they had good reason to believe that was true! Yeah right, Cris scoffs. They lied and they somehow got the results changed with the test he sent for. Cande denies everything. Cris can’t believe they’ve sunk this low. Ya basta! Sev bangs the table and demands that Cris shut it! They’re his parents! Cris says it’s better he just doesn’t talk to them at all. Now he has sus planes and he’s going with them, regardless of what they do: PJ will marry he and Aldonza tomorrow. Fat chance, Sev sneers, since PJ’s being arrested as they speak. Cande’s shocked.

PJ’s ready to cooperate with the cops…but Tomas isn’t! If they touch PJ, Tomas will kill them! (say what? You’ve been hanging with PJ for what, a day, and you’re threatening cops’ lives for him?… :) Yeah, we get it.) PJ holds him back and tells him to chill. He’ll go voluntarily. Tomas can help by finding Aldi and asking her to call the lawyers. PJ’s such a stand up guy, the cops say handcuffs aren’t necessary. They don’t even want to be doing this in the first place.

Aldi tells Adelina and Lola that she and Cris are having the church wedding tomorrow. No bells and whistles; they just want to be married, finally. Oh is that happiness? The TN Gods sense it, so in comes Camilo with Tomas to tell them about PJ’s arrest.

Cris can’t believe Sev is doing this to PJ just because he told the truth. Sev tells Cris he doesn’t care what he thinks. PJ’s going to jail because he committed forgery…and because he finally got on Sev’s last nerve, so ya y punto. Cris says Sev has killed the last bit of admiration Cris had for him. Before he leaves the dining room, Cande stops him because hasn’t he noticed Val’s here? She’s staying at the ranch and look what she’s had to witness. Ugh! Unbeliveable! Cris leaves. Cande stops Val from going after him; she won’t get anywhere with him while he’s angry. She asks Sev if he’s really going to press charges. He already has.

Aldi’s on the horn with the Dream Team. They’ll meet her at the police station.

Silvia and Ren are trying to get info, but the guy on duty could barely care less. Aldi et al show up, followed by Lulu. She thanks Tomas for calling her and he gives a glowing recount of PJ’s arrest: He told them he could beat them all up, but he’d take pity and go willingly. Then, he used his rosary as a whip...Yup, sounds accurate to me. Aldi feels guilty; PJ did it all for her. Pato shows up with sandwiches for all, plus a blanket for PJ.

Adriano doesn’t like the way Flavia’s been looking at him. He already explained what happened--it was an accident. She’s not thrilled to be with a wanted man. Well, he won’t be found. The have to get moving again. He just has to clear up one thing. She reluctantly pecks out a kiss for him and wishes him luck.

Adelina calls Joaquin to fill him in on PJ. They trade te quieros.

Val tells Cris she had a fight with Hum and that’s why Cande offered to let her stay at Las Animas. It pisses Cris off that his mom is once again trying to manipulate things to get them together. Val tells him not to worry, she’s not here for that. She’ll try not to bother him. What’s more, maybe she’ll go to a hotel. Cris relents. She can stay as long as she wants, but she shouldn’t give herself false hopes again. Val also agrees with him on the PJ thing. His dad’s overreacting. Cris asks her to ask Cande not to support Sev on this. She agrees and he thanks her.

Aldi fingers her scapular. Adelina shares that Dominga said she and Cris would need them because they were going to face hard times. Aldi’s just glad the worst is over. Ade wouldn’t be so sure. Sev and Cande won’t let this be. Aldi thinks there’s nothing worse they can throw at them and she and Cris can handle whatever they try.

Val tells Cande it’s in everyone’s best interest for her to get Sev to drop the charges. Cris might not forgive the sibling lie and he definitely won’t if they arrest PJ over it.

Aldi finally gets to see PJ. He’s doesn’t regret what he did for a second. Aldi feels terrible about this, but he’s in good spirits. He comforts her. She tells him she loves him and that he’s her hero.

Lola wants to know if she and Pato have been kissing as reeeeally good friends, or if they’re giving it another go. He’d like to, but only once he thinks she’s really into it. She won’t have to ask; if he thinks it’s worth it, he’ll come to her to give it another go. Lola gets that, but can they still make out? Pato thinks they’d better not, but kisses her on the cheek and hugs her to him.

Mari’s still pouting. Irma won’t ask her and Lola to be friends again, but she will ask that they be civil. It should be possible now that E’s gone and Lola’s probably getting back together with Pato. Wait! Lola and Pato are back together? Irma thinks that’s where they’re headed. After her mom leaves, Mari schemes: she’ll leave Lola without a job or a man.

Cande argues with Sev. Who cares what PJ did? They’re losing Cris! Sev’s tired of catering to Cris’s whims (yes, how dare he want to direct his own life or believe in truth or justice! They’re the Luthors, not the Kents!). He won’t give in to him just to hear that he’s “lost what little admiration he had left.” Dom and Mel interrupt them. Mel takes her hand and Dom confesses…she helped PJ forge the document! If PJ goes to prison, she should go too.

The Short of It:
Cris and Al are on again. They’re getting married in the church tomorrow…Or not because Sev has pressed charges: PJ’s been arrested! Val tries to convince Cande, who tries to convince Sev to drop the charges to get back in Cris’s good graces. Pato and Lola are back on…Or not because Pato’s not sure she’s all in, but maybe they’ll try again when she is…Or not because Mari and Lola fight and Mari’s now out for revenge. Tomas is hanging with the right crowd now. Sev has a creepy moment in Val’s room.  Adelina burns the death certificates. Flavia and Adriano are getting ready to move again. Dom tells Sev and Cande that she helped PJ!

Gracias, HellaShelle, for this stellar recap. There was so much going on this episode!

I think my favorite line is "The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed. Or chicken or something, I can’t tell."

Back for more later!

HellaShelle, marvelously written and styled. Simply sensational.

"Now that Silvia and Ren’s drama is on simmer (I smell a Fin romance…)"( my note: I do too but think they are a coupling I would not have concocted) T"hen, he used his rosary as a whip...Yup, sounds accurate to me" and "The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed" were masterful. Loved the vocabulary.

"Aldi feels terrible about this, but he’s in good spirits. He comforts her. She tells him she loves him and that he’s her hero". Aldonza, I could not have state it any better! What a wonderful man.

Even Val after all her evil machinations was puzzled by Sev's actions in her room. Yet, she is a very cunning girl. If she ponders it long enough, the terrible truth might occur to her. Will she use her feminine wiles to convince Sev to drop the charges as Cande suggests??

"Mari schemes: she’ll leave Lola without a job or a man". Poor Uriel and Irma. Poor us for having to endure her cruel juvenile tricks. Hope she has a revelation and is redeemed, if only for their sake.

IF Cande has any humanity, she will forgive Dom. I don't see it occurring. Unlike many here, I believe she cares for Dom but is simply incapable of real love. She (Cande) comes first and she demands total loyalty and capitulation.

Now that Cris realizes the monster his father is (and still doesn't know the half of it), I hope he leaves. Now is the time.

Diana

Hellashelle- You were at your snarky best this episode. So much happening! Thank you, amiga.

I get very nervous whenever Cris gets Al to swear her eternal love. First time he did that, his dad raped her a few hours later, and then she skipped town.

I like the Tomas-Padre J.-Lulu team. Padre and Lulu were already a quirky little duo, and adding Tomas to the mix makes it even funnier. And Tomas is 40% of the way towards meeting the 10 Commandments. That's not bad! :)

When Val said she would move to a hotel, Cris should have immediately said, "No need. I'M moving to a hotel." But instead, he goes back to the nest of vipers to give them the opportunity to strike.

Things are definitely getting creepy with Sever and Val. Question is, will she willingly go into the deep end with him, or is this leading up to another rape?

THANK YOU for the MOST EXCELLENT recap Hellashelle!
My favorite lines:
Aldonza and Cris kiss it out…
The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed.
Aldi’s on the horn with the Dream Team.

Sev in Val’s room…SOOOOOOO CREEPY!!

Why didn’t Chris stay at Aldi’s house? Even one night away from Cande Crush could be so beneficial. Or better yet, why doesn’t Chri move in with Aldi?

Maybe Dom and Mel can move into Eman’s room once Sev’s shows them the door. If Sev files charges against Dom and she lands in jail, will she get to keep her cross body purse?

Thank you Hellashelle.

So Sev is getting creepier. I would love for him to try something on Val, and see what Val does about it.

Why in the world would Cris stay at his parent's house? Pack your stuff and move out NOW. TO YOUR WIFE'S HOUSE. YOU CAN EVEN STAY IN THE SAME BEDROOM AS HER!! I don't trust Val to not slip into his room at night while he's there.

Tomas was so cute how he defended PJ.

In honor of Padre J, and Tomas and Aldonza's assessment of him as a bada** hero, I have changed my avatar.

Oh darn! It's too small to see. It's a priest about to change in a phone booth, and it says, "A different kind of hero."

So, Sev and Valeria. Could I see him going there? Oh, definitely! Could I see her going there? Maybe, leaning towards yes. If she realizes he's into her, she'd be just stupid enough to think she can manipulate him with anything from seemingly-innocent flirtation to complete and total grossness.

Why did Cris go home? Because he's a creature of habit? Maybe his microchip activates within a certain distance of Cande and Sev and he just meant to come into the house, pack his stuff, and leave again? At least for once he didn't fall for the "We're your parents! Respect us!" bullcrap, so that's a step in the right direction.

5FT, I totally agree about Val and Sev, and almost wrote that same thing myself!

cathyx, it's kind of comforting to know this isn't just going on in my head, but also kind of not-comforting. Val thinks she can swim in the deep end, but she doesn't realize Sev is a bottomless pit and she ought to be in the kiddie pool.

Lol, Vivi, I love the avatar! By tomorrow morning, the whole town will have heard Tomas' version of the story and be writing corridos about Padre J, El Justiciero Divino :D

Being Sever's lover only leads to misery and death, so Val better tread very carefully.

Morning everyone. I hit the road as soon as I emailed the recap, so I'm just popping in now. Ita with all about the living situation. I think Daisy was the one that's been adament abt Cris moving for weeks? Daisy, I am so riding your train today. I don't even know why he left El Santuario in the first place! And when Val said she would leave, I like cathyx, expected him to say "no need, I only stopped in to get my things. Because I'm moving in with my WIFE." It bugs me that they're both not more intent on this now that the Sib lie has been exposed.

Adelina...wow.

Sev and Val? I wouldn't put it past either of them.

Mari - I despise this chick.

Thanks, Hellashelle! A lively and snarky rendering of a rather eventful night.

I loved Lulu and Tomas taking inventory of the marks against his immortal soul. Were they putting X's and O's next to the commandments?

The arrest scene reminded me of Jesus' arrest where St. Peter acted as his strong arm defender, which Jesus refused, just like PJ.

Yeah, Cris and Aldonza will last until the baby bomb is dropped. I wonder how they will resolve that?

I can't wait to see how this attraction Sev now has for Val will play out. I don't know if her character has the strength to resist sex with someone who she thinks could be beneficial to her. That would be icky, though.

I hope Irma will begin to see through Mary.

Thanks again, Hellashelle. I enjoyed every line you wrote.

David

Thank you Hellashelle for a great recap. My favorite line: "The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed. Or chicken or something, I can’t tell." I started laughing, my husband looked at me as if I had lost my head.

As Diana has already written here, "PJ is a wonderful man". I imagine every woman on the patio will be fighting over PJ before this TN is finished.

I've also wondered why, and think that it is insane, that Cris keeps going home. He is married to Aldi and even if they don't want to sleep together until after the "church" makes it official-official, he could at least stay at ES.

Hella, I also loved your side comment about leaving Mari and Lola on the side of the road!

I've been meaning to ask about this since I missed the first few weeks. Does Ade know that Rob shot Ray protecting Sev? Or just that Ray whacked Sev with the machete and he (Ray) died in the burning barn? Like everyone else thinks?

LoriLoo- Adelina for years thought that Ray died crashing his truck into the barn after finding Rob there with Sever, and burning in the flames. She knew that there must have been some scuffle between the men, because Rob came back covered in blood. She blamed herself because she didn't lie to Ray to cover for Rob's absence. It was only recently, just after she got her cancer diagnosis, that Rob confessed to Adelina that SHE killed Ray with a gun, protecting Sever.

Thank you Vivi, I obviously don't remember the deathbed confession. That brings up another question.... is it correct that Ade thought there was a baby buried with Ray? And if so, how did she find out that there was not a baby buried with Ray?

And only three people know how Sever lost his arm- Sever, Adelina, and Padre J. (through Sever's confession). No one else connected Ray's fiery death in the barn, with Sever's farm equipment "accident". Melesio, Domingo, and Humberto found Sever's story suspicious, but none of them ever connected the dots totally. Cande was first too overcome with her beloved husband being injured, and then with his mistress coming to the hospital revealing the affair and her pregnancy, to ever really think about how he really lost his arm, and if it was connected to Ray's death.

LoriLoo- Adelina always knew there isn't a baby buried with Ray. When Sever took away the "dead" baby after it was born, he said that he would take care of everything (she assumed the burial). She was too worked up worrying about Rob who was bleeding out and doing badly to really argue much. Then Padre came to the hospital asking what happened to the baby (since he knew Rob was pregnant). Adelina, not being able to explain Sever's involvement, quickly made up a lie about them already burying the baby with Ray. They then had to follow through with adding the baby's name to the headstone. Therefor, there is no death certificate for the baby. There was only one death certificate and it was Ray's.

HellaShelle wrote, "I smell a Fin romance…" and I haven't been able to get the song "A Fine Romance" out of my head, so here goes nothing....

A Fin Romance

A Fin romance, mi querida
Make one wrong move, you'll say "see ya!"
You're too obsessed with all of your machinations
We're being sabotaged by my near relations

A Fin romance, you won't listen
A Fin romance, you keep hissin'
I might as well give up till we hit the end
Nothing is set 'till then, guess I'll go study zen

A Fin romance, with no talking
A Fin romance, too much squawking
We should be solving all of our problems in tandem
Instead all our behavior is seeming random

A Fin romance, with no dating
With no trusting and all hating
You change your mind more often than I change pants
It feels like an endless dance, this is a Fin romance

(apologies to Dorothy Fields)

OMG! Kat, this is amazing! This song needs to go on the sidebar (since it describes most tn romances). I'm going to have "A Fine Romance" running through my head all day now.

See, this is how it works...I get a song stuck in my head, and now I've passed it on hahahahaha!

Thanks again Vivi, for filling in my blank spots.

Burning the death certificate will only slow Aldi down. She can always get another one.

I wish Ade would just come clean about everything. I know she doesn't want to hurt Aldi but she is so tortured by it all maybe it would help her to get it out. I love the actress Liset and like how she plays this character. I feel her pain!

That's what I thought, too, LoriLoo. That can't have been the one-and-only copy. All she has to do is request another one. Or, better yet, sign something so that Silvia can get another copy and then it never comes back into the house again.

I get stressed just watching Adelina trying so hard to cover everything up. She must be exhausted. Just let it go, and tell the truth, Adelina!

I kind of agreed with Padre J the other day...You're freaking out NOW?!...but she's riding the edge of her breaking point and she has been for a while. She's going to have to come clean soon or have a heart attack or a nervous breakdown or something.

Hellashelle, I loved every word, thank you.

"Or not" clever

Best scene for me was Tomas and Lulu going through the 10 commandments

I have lusted in my heart many times for PJ

Agree Cris should be at Aldonza's and there were plans but he was arrested and thrown in jail for Abelardo's murder. Pack a bag and go.

I'm so sick of Lola I could just spit

What Adelina did is selfish not cowardly. It has transcended being about protecting anyone other than herself and the interpretation of what transpired as she deems fit. I lost any respect for her long ago and flat don't like her at all now. She lies, misdirects, fabricates and destroys evidence all the while presenting herself as some self sacrificing saint. Within minutes of burning the death certificate she is all smiles.

What a great recap, Hellashelle! Lots of fun bits, but this one especially (as many others have quoted): The Devil, his wife and their new handmaiden are feasting on the souls of the oppressed. Or chicken or something, I can’t tell.

Liked the comment that Val thinks she can swim in the deep end when she really belongs in the kiddie pool. She'll be very sorry if she tried to manipulate Sev.

Diva Kat, loved the Fin Romance lyrics, although it's hard to sing and snort at the same time.

thanks, hellashelle, for that fast and furious...and fabulous recap....so many funny observations.

First, Pato is not my favorite character , but I love his pragmatism...bringing the blanket for Padre and sandwiches. I like a man who thinks practically....food and warmth.

Mari is on my last nerve. She needs to get a job and grow up.

Severed and Val..yikes. as noted, Severed's mistresses experience misery and death. Vile has no idea what a demon Sev is. Perhaps, he will be her anvil. And perhaps, if Sev hurts Vile, that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and finally makes Hum turn on Sev.

All of Severiano's women somehow believe they can manage that beast but get sucked in and realize too late.

I am so glad Silvia is back, not with Renato, but ready for battle. She was about to bolt through the door to see PJ. Kick some ass and take names girly.

Frequently I am confused I'm watching the same character, Aldonza. Cris is so into her but she not so much and I don't believe all the kissy poo stuff and certainly no promise she makes. Guess the divorce is still underway so why even be upset the church wedding will be delayed.

I believe the process for the divorce is that they go before the judge during the first hearing, and he asks if they want to divorce. If they both say no, then the whole thing is done-- no divorce. If one or both say they want a divorce, then it goes to the second hearing, where they once again have the opportunity to back out, or proceed with the divorce. Only then is it over and done.

Thank you, hellashelle!

David, you brought up the x's and o's when Lulu and Tomas were looking at the list of commandments. I think I heard them refer to putting "palomitas" on the ones he had kept. I was thinking that meant a check mark, but I've never heard "palomitas" used that way. Wordreference says that "palomitas" can mean a tick mark.

Does anyone know the word they used for the ones he had broken?

Lol, La Paloma, thank you :D

susanlynn, I'm glad Pato thought about food and a blanket. I'm not sure who else would have, they were all so panicked!

tofie, I liked watching Silvia bring it with the lawyering last night. And the cops seem like they're getting sick and tired of dealing with all our main characters. Maybe it was just me, but they seemed extra slow last night with the "yeah, yeah, we'll find out what's going on."

Broken = tacha

Ahhhhh, gracias, Sara! I just wanted to know before I started marking Sev's score card :p

Hellashelle, La Diva del Desierto, thank you to both of you, or which ever one of you that did this recap. Girl you put your foot in it. Thats an old southern compliment. It was good to the last.

Perfect description of sev and cande being Satan(devil) and his wife and their handmaiden (vileval).
I watched as sev came into the bedroom of the handmaiden and sniffed her bed dress like the vile twisted mangy dog that he is. She looked at her sleepwear, people she looked repulsed. I don't blame her, thats nasty. I say burn it. The one she had on looked like the one on the bed.
I really hope they don't put sev and VileVal together there is enough nastiness on this show they don't need to do that. these two people are nasty enough separately they don't need to come together and be nasty.
I don't like mari, shes evil.
I don't like lola, cause she's judging eman, based on lies, not giving him a chance to talk. Pato should move slow.
I like the idea of tomas and lulu, they are so cute.

THANK YOU very much HellaShelle! Such a fine recap, adding greatly to my enjoyment this fine afternoon.

Love-love-loved the 10 commandments scene between Tomas and Lulu, yes a match made in Heaven for sure, as soon as Tomas can steer himself in that direction.

DIVA: "Sev is a bottomless pit and she (Val) ought to be in the kiddie pool." Agreed, and I wish I could make myself worry about the girl but I got nothin'.

Well, can't wait for tonight! "Must", as Gringo says, "see TV".
