Weekend Discussion: First Annual Televisa Perversity Pageant (Men's Division)

We're getting into some seriously poisonous stuff with our latest round of Televisa villains. Lately it seems that the growing influence of male writers is resulting in more perverse male villains than we used to know 10 years ago. Therefore we are now in the finals of our first-annual Perversity Pageant (Men's Division).  Who should get the Crown of Fire?

Here are the four finalists. They are truly hardcore villains who celebrate their perversity. Vote for the nastiest one of the lot if you can; your criteria is your own (but please explain it anyway and no spoilers on LSdP):

If the Telemundo folks would like to create one to represent that network, please do so!  I don't have a monopoly on Weekend Discussions; I just started them.

We'll do a Women's Division at a later date.

Comments:
Thanks to Count Alacran for the info on Fausto, as I didn't manage to watch that series beyond episode 33. However, while I think his Karmageddon was more personal in the moment, I don't get the impression that he got sucked down into Hell as the previous incarnation of him did.

For me, Fernando from PSMA was the most dastardly villain with no redeeming qualities. His smarmy smirk gave me cold chills. He would have killed his own son (Pablo Lyle).

Bouffy LaFont from Pasion who kept losing body parts was also a creepy villain. Ick . He was terribke to his daughter and attacked a blind woman..an evil blind woman , but even so..not cricket, just not cricket.

I haven't been watching Perdone, so I have to only go by the remaining three. Maybe it's because of the way he's playing the character, but Alexis/Satan/Severiano has my vote. Sergio to me came off slightly off his rocker in Robo, and creepy, very typical Sergio Sendel, he'd be my runner up. But Alexis has brought Sev to a level of a villian that has been enjoying every minute of being a total flat-out bastard in everything he's done and then added that whole additional level of "oh no he didn't" in taking perverse and a sexual type pleasure in his antics. Someone did the "shush" gesture last night at a volunteer function I was at and I swear, my skin started crawling. The man has left me scarred.

Me too, Fernando/Javier of PSMA by a mile, he didn't care who, what or where his victim was. He could play the long or short game equally well. He had his own son, a 10 year old kidnapped and planed to kill the boy and purposefully seduced his own son's virgin gf and she gave herself willingly his seduction flawless. He never showed one bit of remorse or pain and would just laugh and no one ever suspected until it was too late.

UA, an excellent topic. Thank you.

I have to agree with tofie that Fernando/Javier should be accorded this dubious "honor". There is little I can add as her reasons were on point and very well stated.

A close runner up would be Severiano Mendoza (aka Satan)/ Alexis Ayala who raped his son's one true love among a list of nefarious deeds including murder and mayhem too long to list here.

susanlynn, I will never forget LaFont - what a character, what a performance.

I might have chosen Alberto Estrello as Danilo in La Malquerida had he been an option. This cruel rapist and abuser is also another nefarious character I wish I could forget but whose cruelties are indelibly etched in my mind.

Daisy, "Alexis has brought Sev to a level of a villian that has been enjoying every minute of being a total flat-out bastard in everything he's done and then added that whole additional level of "oh no he didn't" in taking perverse and a sexual type pleasure in his antics".

That gave me the chills - spot on.

Thank you Urban, what a fun topic!

I think it is really a hard choice between Fernando/Javier and Severed. Both so creepy, perverse and evil. But since LSdP is a much, much better TN than PSMA (in my opinion) I'm voting for Severed.

Can't wait to see the list of the ladies!

OMG. My first exposure to Alexis and Sergio, (and Jorge Salinas too) was in Tres Mujeres which had me spellbound. I think I went through a short amount of time where I didn't even date, because I was saving myself for Fatima. Yikes.

Thank you Urban. You did a fine job with the weekend post.

I too agree with the sentiment that Danilo from LM should have been put here but I guess he did not win. He was a very nefarious and creepy character. I loved his Karmageddon so much although I have never catched up to the novela for reasons unknown.

I don't think Pedro Medina was an absolute pervert, he was completely asexual ( Meaning that he hates sex ) . He was more into beating up women rather than using them for sexual pleasure. But he was abusing us and the poor children with his dark chilling presence !

Fernando was an amazing player, he had a gameplan for everything, He was simply without scruples and the same could be said about Faust and now Sev. I don't know which one of them is worse. All of them are absolutely horrible devils to hang out with. I would have voted for Fausto but not many people have watched QPD but I have to say Se-viper simply for getting away with that much disgusting stuff. Fausto was disgusting too but I find Alexis much more creepier.

Although that doesnt bellttle Fausto's undiscribed evil . He disturbed me at every scene that he was in and like Feo always managed to figure out of the complex situations and had many affairs. He showed no mercy and no restraint. His brainwashing even extended to children and the elderly . He lived to make everyone's life a blazing hellfire while consolating himself with whiskey.

Pedro Medina is an angel compared to Fausto Lopez Guerra.

It could be that Alexis Ayala is the better actor.

I stopped watching LM because I couldn't stand Ariadne Diaz' character and it's not going to go well if you can't like the protagonist.

BTW, asexuals don't hate sex; they're just not interested. Many don't understand it because they have never experienced a sex drive while others just look at it as something for other people.

We don't know what Pedro's sex life was like before the accident that made him a eunuch. The thing is that by the time we get to the opening episode about 20 years have passed and he should have been accustomed to being sexless. I have therefore concluded that he was evil before the accident and not because of it.

Yeah I agree. I think that Pedro was a normal guy but rebellious. We know nothing about his past except for the atrocious acccident ( Which was on his part as well since his reckless driving provoked the accident..) Angelli never really gives us enough details about their pasts. We dont even know when he actually met his ex wife.

But still he beat women up more than he desired sex from them. I also havent seen him lusting over anyone. I dont think that he qualifies in this category at all. In all means he was a hater of women but he was also machist.
