Antes muerta que Lichita #19 Friday 10/16/15: Roberto tries to draw a line to Lichita... Luciana threatens Roberto with his false resume... Elsa finds out Nacho's real job... Lichita gets promoted by Sandra and Daphne tells Bea the truth about Luciana.

Good news... i now have a dvdr so i can record the novela... and not miss anything...

ok, on to the recap...

Gumaro is about to open the door, heads to door dancing... Lichita calls out for Roberto, telling him who she is... instantly Gumaro drops to the floor to fake the crippled Gumaro... Lichita pushes the door after he unlocks it and she has to literally carry him to his dining table. Seems she actually believes he dragged himself all the way from the dining table to the door in just a few seconds. He gives her small talk about the medications being hard to get sometimes... She asks about the music that is on, he tells her his therapist suggested to move rhythmically to the music... Gumaro tells her each day he feels like he is getting more and more crippled. He fakes having difficulty pulling the phone out of his pocket to call Roberto...even falls off his chair. He won't let her help him... until he gives in and she dials Roberto.

Roberto thinks it is Gumaro... Lichita tells him who it is and gives Gumaro the phone. Roberto asks Gum what Lichita is doing there and GUmaro gives him clues that he told Lichita that Roberto went ot the pharmacy to get him some meds. Roberto tells him Mateo is a little better but he wants to make sure he won't get bad again so he will take a while longer. Gumaro does some more talky talky and then hangs up.

Elsa and Nacho arrive home from the store...

The door bell rings again at the apartment. Gumaro tries to not let Lichita answer the door but she lets a guy who is really angry at Gumaro about some door bell (his?) that is not working. The guy is in a hurry. Keeps yelling at Gumaro (asking him to move quickly... of course Gumaro does not want to stand up in front of Lichita... here comes Roberto arriving to the rescue... Roberto continues the skid with Alicia and he actually enjoys shoving some medicine in Gumaro's mouth and shaking him so he will swallow it... (Gumaro's face as he is trying to swallow it is priceless! LOL!!)

Lichita came to tell Roberto about the goings on with Oki Oki Ghinseng...

Elsa at the house is anxiously wondering how she will tell Nacho that she lost her job again.

Roberto is not happy about Lichita going to do the Oki Oki campaign on her own. they had agreed something different... But he is not mad at Lichita for long at all.

Gumaro is having some stomach pains due to the medicine syrup (LOL!) Roberto pokes him on the stomach... LOL! Roberto and Alicia leave and Gumaro warp speeds to the bathroom.

Roberto is now at the office in conf room with Sandra, Luciana, Alicia… Roberto apologizes for not being there for the campaign… but wants to declare that all the credit is Alicia’s… Of course Luciana won’t let anyone else take HER credit… it was HER campaign 100%. Sandra is not happy that Roberto was totally out of it as it relates to the Oki Oki campaign… Roberto says Alicia kept him up to speed. Alicia confirms it. Roberto asks Sandra to make Alicia an editor (redactora) again. Sandra agrees with him. Luciana protests that she also should get a promotion and undermines and namecalls Alicia. Sandra basically says don’t push it… Luciana says ‘my uncle will learn about this’… Roberto reminds Luciana that she is not exactly bffs with Augusto so don’t bother threatening us with ‘telling him’ about anything.

Sandra leaves… Luciana warns Roberto and Alicia saying ‘this won’t be the end’. Noone mocks me. I am a Toledo y Mondragon. (Roberto and Alicia just look at each other and shrug their shoulders).

Roberto catches Luciana on hallway. ‘we have to talk’. Luciana says the one she will talk to is her uncle Augusto, about his faked resume. Luciana tells him he is nothing but a user/schemer and he is using Lichita for his own agenda objectives.

Luciana is now trying to get auntie Bea on her side… of course Bea buys the whole story from Luciana… However, it won’t last her … Here is Daphne clarifying that the idea and the credit is all Alicia’s. Bea believes Alicia and tells Luciana that she should stop trying to take other people’s credit for yourself, it is a sin! (LOL!!)

Elsa calls Alicia and can tell Alicia is still very much in love with Roberto… IS he? Has he said anything?... not really, says Alicia. But he has some details and gestures for me that maybe I am not that indifferent to him either.. (some people at the office are hearing Alicia on phone). Elsa has to run to take Nacho’s lunch to him, he forgot it at home.

At office Roberto pulls Alicia into his office… As she walks him she locks him out and has to go back to open the door for him… She says she knows they have not finished talking about what happened. He apologizes and says Luciana was driving him nuts too. She does believe that he was defending her in front of Sandra only because of the campaign… Roberto gets a bit closer to her… She puts a puppy face ready for him to do some kind of declaration… but he tells her that he does not want her to interpret his actions wrong, he does appreciate her but she needs to be clear that their relationship is strictly business.

Luciana is anxiously calling someone on phone… (Augusto?) Augusto calls back.. but its not him! Psych!! IT is a nurse to tell Luciana that her uncle just had an accident.

Alicia stutters telling him that she has it clear that their relationship is strictly business. But she does say not really happy that she had to lie to Sandra for him… She won’t let him talk… Alicia repeats to him that the Oki Oki campaign presentation idea was her. He knows it, he knows her and he knows Luciana enough to know that. He tries to apologize… she is on her way out when he calls her again to thank her for caring about Gumaro. (She is still mad at him so she slams the door on her way out). He stays there a bit sad puppy faced.

Luciana thinks the nurse calling is a joke… The nurse says it is very true and they need someone to be there to authorize his treatments. Luciana has some trouble spelling the ‘teperou’ (sp?) town where the hospital is.

Nestor and Chuchette are again gossiping in front of Alicia and badmouthing her. Alicia has her friend standing by her… Alicia shares her lunch with her. Chuchette says to Nestor lets go, so we won’t get that smell on us.

Elsa goes to Nacho’s workplace… she realizes he is working as a housekeeping guy, she finds him mopping the floors.

Luciana is at Augusto’s house and is stealing some money from some plastic bag, probably in Bea’s room.

Daphne catches her just as she was heading to the door… Daphne won’t buy any of her lies… Luciana says don’t bother… The maid comes to tell Luciana her taxi is here. Daphne wonders if they are so lucky that she is taking a plane back to Argentina. Luciana says you should be so lucky… but nah!!

Nacho apologizes to Elsa for not telling her the truth… Elsa says it is not the lie, you are not in shape to do that… Nacho says its not so bad… and he is the head of the family so he has to bring home some moolah… Elsa gives him the good news that Lichita got a promotion. That makes him very happy… they share his sandwich.

Roberto asks the nurse how Mateo is… the nurse says Mateo is getting better, but she won’t let him stay the night, per rules of the place.

Lichita and Ximena are watching the novella and doing homework at the same time… Ximena asks Lichita why she is sad… Lichita tries to explain that sometimes you have high hopes for some people but you get disappointed when they don’t live up to it. Ximena tries to cheer her up… then leaves. Magos comes by and tries to undermine her sister some… Lichita defends herself… Magos then pulls the ‘pitiful me’ card… saying no one in that house cares one iota about her… (does she care for any of them?? Huh?? Huh??)

At apartment, Roberto tells GUmaro that they have to be very careful, why doesn’t Gumaro go get a job so the neighbor incident won’t repeat itself. Gumaro tells him that it shows that Alicia cares about him, would give her life for him. Roberto says the already talked to Alicia… he told Alicia that there is nothing there beyond business. Gumaro is not so sold on Roberto being able to keep that line there.

Elsa and Alicia talk at the house… Ximena is serving them. Some small quesadillas/tacos that she made herself. Ximena leaves… Elsa tells Alicia about her dad’s real job…and on top of it it is at a chemicals plant… what if the chemicals get in his eyes? He just had surgery. Elsa is sure she will find another job so Nacho won’t need to stay there long. Elsa wants to know about the guy… When will you bring him to dinner? Lichita tells her it was a misunderstanding on her part, there is no interest from him. Ximena comes and needs Alicia’s help to get some salsa on the tacos.

Luciana has made it to the hospital. But the guy turns out to not be Augusto… However, Augusto is in the next bed… Luciana tells her that the real Augusto is an assistant of Augusto… and learns that Augusto has O- blood type. Luciana tells the nurse she will be glad to donate some blood to ‘my uncle’s assistant’.

Roberto is again visiting Mateo… they joke and play around about the thermometer and where it goes…

Roberto asks the teacher to let him know if they need anything.

Nacho leaves for work… Lichita tells him she wants to talk to him at home tonight. Nacho congratulates Lichita on her promotion. After Nacho leaves, Magos is trying to hurry up Alicia to get to work. Elsa says they have enough problems to add a sibling rivalry/quarrel to the list. The phone rings… Alicia answers. It seems to be the credit card colletor again. She promises she will put the payment this week… She hangs up. Magos offers to talk to them herself next time. Alicia says don’t worry.

Bea and Daphne are having breakfast outdoors… Bea is worried about Augusto’s whereabouts. Daphne tells Bea that Luciana was engaged to some guy in Argentina. Daphne swears to Bea that Luciana is a trip. She is a hypocrite. A liar.

Bea starts losing it ‘can’t believe it if Luciana is deceiving me! I gave her the doors of my heart!!’ Daphne whines that Bea cares for Luciana more than she cares for her.

At hospital, Luciana is sitting (apparently waiting to donate blood) and some guy falls asleep next to her and drops his head on her shoulder. She is disgusted. Nurse comes in to tell her that her uncle’s assistant is getting better. She asks Luciana if she wants to see her uncle. Luciana says no, I want to talk to his assistant.

Alicia is at office looking for her sandwich. But seems someone has taken it.

The sandwich stealer is Nestor! Chuchette catches him as he takes a big bite. Chuchette was bringing him the info on the customer who wants the campaign on dog food. Nestor can tell that Chuchette envies Luciana. She even envies Alicia. Chuchette gets offended and says no I don’t envy anyone. Don’t need to.

Roberto is giving Sandra a performance imitating the Japanese guys.

Sandra tells him she loved the way they did the Oki Oki presentation. Sandra asks him if he will be able to handle both the Oki Oki and the Mas market campaigns at the same time. Sandra asks him if he could handle the title of Creative Director of Iconika? Roberto is in disbelief… he swears to her he will do WHATEVER it takes. Sandra says that title comes with HUGE responsibility. The assignment requires Augusto’s sign-off. She assures him that not anyone can get that kind of job title. No. not ‘anyone’.

Luciana is taking pictures of Augusto with her camera. She wonders what kind of secrets he is holding if his assistant is taking his place. He is awaking very slowly… he asks if it is Sandra… finally opens his eyes… he is a bit panicked when he realizes it is Luciana and asks her what she is doing there.

Previews: Luciana continues to step on Luciana and treat her like a shoe… even asking her to arrange a dinner date (with Roberto I guess)

Wonderful recap, Marta! Thank you!
Great question: "Does she care for any of them?? Huh?? Huh??" Re. Magos and answer is uh, not so much. She is at home sitting on her butt watching the novelas while her father is killing himself working maintenance at the chemical plant. Cute!

Anyway my best laughs:

Gumaro describing himself as a "gusano medidor" (inch worm).

Beatriz telling Luciano taking credit for other's accomplishments is a "pecado mortal" (mortal sin).

Luciana in the hospital waiting room worried she is going to get "bichos" (bugs) from the guy seated next to her when he falls asleep and his head touches her. I loved how when she got up she kept wiping off her shoulder in disgust.

Luciana taking a wide variety of selfies with her uncle Augusto especially the "father and daughter" one. After him asking for "Sandra" when he regained consciousness and his lying about his whereabouts, Luciana should have some good info to blackmail him with.

All in all, a lot of fun.

Thank you, Marta! What a fun recap. Congrats on the DVR! The scene with Gumaro, Rob and the medicine was so funny to me and your mentioning Gumaro's face made me feel like we were in the same room watching together. That whole scene felt like a Tim Conway/Harvey Korman routine.

Thanks so much, Marta. I hope all is going well with the job search. We appreciate so much you taking the time to recap for us. The dvr should make that easier though.

The whole scene with Gumaro, Lichita, and Rob made me laugh.

I was so happy that Rob spoke up for Lichita and got her out of being Luci's assistant. Also happy that Dafne spoke up for her with Bea. I hope Gumaro can convince Rob that there is room in his life for romance.

Of course all this good stuff looks like it will go up in smoke if Luci gets Augusto on her side through blackmail. Then both Rob and Lichita will be under Luci's heel.

Marta, so happy you have a DVR which should hopefully make things a bit easier for you.

I loved the recap and your enthusiasm shone through with every word. "Gumaro does some more talky talky" made me smile along with many others. He and Luciana were the highlights for me last night. Ingrid Martz is pretty much stealing the show here, I can't wait to see what facial contortions she will do next. I'm enjoying them all (not her actions or poisonous spew but her expressions - very much so).

The "selfies" were so much fun. And Jarifa, I was also smiling as Luciana was trying to gently pry herself from her "offensive" seat mate. It mirrored a scene from Trading Places where Dan Ackroyd's fiancée went to jail to bail him out and found herself sitting next to a talkative and offputting character.

I was a little sad Aug mentioned Sandra's name in his stupor. While I don't like Bea as much as I did initially (due to the way she treats Daphne), I don't want the family to break up. For Daphne's sake.

I find the characters of Chuchette and Nestor puzzling. They are rude, catty, cruel and more. Are they supposed to be comic relief? I find nothing endearing or even interesting about either.

Sara, thanks for mentioning Conway and Korman. What great memories their names envoke. Classic comedy at its best.

Thanks so much Marta. This was great.

Diana

It's definitely looking bad for pretty much everyone at Iconika. Luciana has some ammo and she's not afraid to use it.

Diana as funny as I find Bea, I agree with you about her treatment of Dafne. That breakfast scene simply broke my heart. Dafne is a wonderful person that any mother would be proud of. How could Bea ignore Dafne's very pitiful request for some of her mother's attention. I don't want Don A and Bea to break up simply because those two would be even more wrapped up in themselves than the already are.

But I'm assuming Don A and Bea (*snort* the alphabet) will reconcile since I'm sure they married in the church.

Ay Magos. I find it very hard to muster up some give a damn about her. I was a teen when I had my child and I admit that before having Offspring I was a bit of a flake. Granted, I didn't have alcohol problems nor did I steal cars or vandalize things. Having a child made me take more responsibility. I see none of this from Magos. She is not merely flighty or flaky and I don't think it's a matter of straightening up and flying right. I think she needs serious help.

Sara- Ooh. Love your alphabet list! Lichita also goes in A for Alicia. The two receptionists in blue are Yvonne and Yvette. Braulio is another B.

Do you remember the name of Don A and Bea's son? Wouldn't it be funny if his name started with C? A, B, C, D.

OMG VIVI YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!

Wow I need a life because I'm too excited about this!

My apologies for the following random thought comment bomb -

I am liking Sandra more and more.

(Jarifa - I missed the inch worm line last night, but I'll listen out for it when I watch the episode again.)

Sara, I got sich a kick out of your alphabet!

What about "P" for Patagonia where Augusto always wants to send Luciana?

Works for me! I like it!

Great list Sara!

Diana

Thanks, Marta. Terrific recap.

Great catching up on all the comments, thoughtful and funny alike. Sara, wow, almost all the alphabet accounted for.

Enjoyed Alicia dragging Gumaro by his arms down the hallway floor.

Mago, ack! I think Mago’s real problem is unseen and unmentioned: her baby’s daddy dumping her. Her mom and dad, Alicia, and Ximena all want to support her but she gives them little to go on. The most damning thing about Magos is her pessimistic attitude when Ximena is upbeat about stuff. Magos needs therapy but who has money for that when she keeps getting them deeper in debt. Eventually it seems like they'll need money to post bail for her.

Beatriz, ack! She actually yanked her hand off of Daphne’s hand because she didn’t want to hear the truth about Luciana. My guess is Beatriz’s own mom was all about keeping up appearances at the expense of the truth. Poor Daphne, she would be smoking in a warm household like Alicia’s. But she’s stuck in that cold mansion.

Luciana taking selfies with Augusto. Too funny! Did she call herself taking pictures to show how devoted and caring she is to her uncle? Those pics only show her humongous self-centeredness.

Alicia’s eyebrows looked a bit more trimmed last night and like Vivi said that pant suit is her best look. We’re all figuring a makeover is coming, but I’ve grown fond of her look. There’s something so sweet and earnest about her hunched posture and 1980s shoulder pads.

Thank you Marta for your wonderful Saturday morning recap.
A new DVR? One down one (new job0 to go---happy hunting.

I'm happy for Lichita getting her new position and not just an assistant.

Everybody is not happy with Magos. Looks to me like she has the same problem/afliction that we patio peeps have---hooked on nevelas that is. My must see tv sign-off is real.

Blackmail ahead for Don Agusto? My vote is yes.

Lichita will have a lot of trouble heading her way. After all this novela is just getting started so to speak. Luciana will be a migraine that won't go away.

Gumaro was a hoot last night.

Luciana's/Ingrid's selfies were perfect. Her facial expressions are just the best.

Can't wait for Monday's broadcast.
the gringo

"I think Mago’s real problem is unseen and unmentioned: her baby’s daddy dumping her."

That is a big possibility, Niecie. I think Magos has a lot of issues and she needs to work through them. Therapy would be expensive, but it would be nice if the whole family could sit in the same room and just...talk...or something. Magos seems to engage in so much self destructive behavior. Magos and Ximena seem so distant. It's almost as if Magos had been gone most of Ximena's life and only recently returned.

"There’s something so sweet and earnest about her hunched posture"
Isn't there? I do want her to stand a little taller and prouder, but I don't ever want her to lose her earnestness.

Over on MIVAC we are all kind of annoyed by the lack of romance. Lichita isn't a fairy tale romance, but I am finding it to be a very sweet love story. I absolutely love that every episode opens with Migel Bose singing "Mi salvación". Roberto and Lichita will be each other's salvation.

Just like Amores con trampa, this is starting to really get into my heart.

Niecie, you blew me away with:

"Poor Daphne, she would be smoking in a warm household like Alicia’s. But she’s stuck in that cold mansion".

What a brilliant (and true) observation. Wow.

Diana

Marta great recap and thank you, you covered it all.

Sara that list is great and with you on the love story here. There is real tenderness and seems honest.

Niecie well said about Alicia and I love her the way she looks. I smile when I see she and Roberto walking together.

Luciana and her selfies and comment kill me.

Alicia offered it this time but Roberto gets the real benefit of her Oki, Oki work. He got the job and now a promotion on her back.

I was shocked Beatriz believed Dafne over Luciana. Thank you Dafne to speaking up.

OT: just got home from seeing "Ladrones" with Fernando Colunga and Eduardo Yáñez. It turned out to be a cute caper movie. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. It was great seeing EJ on a horse again w/ a cowboy hat and lot less folksy dialogue a la AcT.

Niecie in MD---I think you are right about Margos being dumped. That probably hurt her deeply and she has never recovered.

Did I miss something? What was Don Agusto in the hospital for?

the gringo

We don't know, gringo. All we know is that the nurse called Luciana and said that her uncle had been in an accident...and for some reason, they all think Don A is just the assisstant.

Jarifa-The closest theater to me showing Ladrones is over 150 miles away. I'm so jealous of you! I can't wait until it comes out on DVD so I can see it!

tofie-"tenderness" YES!! That's what I'm loving.

I do still miss AcT, but I'm liking Lichita for different reasons.

Sara---Ladrones is showing all over Southern California. Maybe it will come to your city soon.

The nurse called Luciana and not Don A's wife? Strange.

the gringo

The nurse thought she was talking to Don A's wife.

Luciana had been calling Don A so much that I assume the nurse assumed that it was his wife. The nurse doesn't know his wife's name is Beatriz and she must have figured multiple calls from "Luciana" was someone important.

Or we're just supposed to adjust our beanies.

Sara- You got it was right. Luci had been blowing up his phone all day with calls, so the nurse called that number assuming it was someone important to the patient.

Thanks, Vivi. Now I can't wait to discover what Don A was up to and why they think the other guy is Luci's uncle.

Jarifa, I'm so glad you got to see the movie and that you enjoyed it.

EY looks so handsome in the previews with that ever present twinkle in his eye.

I'm looking forward to his next TN.

Diana

Gracias, Marta! I enjoyed the recap. "Talky talky" describes all of Gumaro's scenes to a t :D

Marta, thanks for the great recap! I enjoyed reliving the fun.

Gumaro cracks me up! How kind of Alicia to bring him some soup and how funny his role-playing and Roberto's medical revenge.

Luciana really knows how to seize an opportunity! I look forward to finding out why Augusto is injured and how he got there.

AM comment bomb

Thinking about Ingrid Martz- she has a lot of Lucille Ball-esque facial expressions.

Sara, you are so right. Lucy was/is still one of my all time favorites.

Hey, and the character is "Luci" ana!!!

Oh wow! That didn't even click with me! That's awesome.

I know Luciana is supposed to be odious, but with the way Ingrid is playing her I have to laugh. Right now I'm more annoyed by Beatriz than Luciana.

I'm already eager for the next episode.

Ugh. Forgot a thought.

I could not stand Ingrid in La que no podía amar or in Corazón Indomable. But I love her here. She's so much better suited to comedy.

Same goes for Maite. Granted, I'll watch Maite in anything, but I can say that up to now she's played the same roles and played them the same way (Cachito de Cielo being an exception), but wowzers she's good in this.

I must be catching the comedy fever.

I agree with you all... i too am attracted to the 'tender romance' between ALicia and Roberto. I think they are great complements for each other... once she gets over the lies ... we all know she will be mad at him for a while at some time...
Niece, I too am blown away by your statement...
"Poor Daphne, she would be smoking in a warm household like Alicia’s. But she’s stuck in that cold mansion". so true... my sentiments too...
I believe when they found his wallet or cell phone, they did not know who was Augusto... probably the phone was somewhere around the two men but not on either one... so when Luciana got to the hospital, I remember her being the one who told the nurse that Augusto was the assistant... i guess so everyone's attention would be on the other guy and she would get more private time with him...
The fact that the nurse called Luciana instead of Bea because she was the one calling Augusto so much was so convenient for Luciana... not even Bea or Daphne know where he is but he does!
Good list of names, Sara. I agree with the added suggestions... esp Patagonia for P... LOL!
I love our little patio group here...
I can't wait until we all keep analyzing Roberto's emotional development as the novela goes on... and him helping ALicia build some self confidence that she needs to deal with Luciana, Chuchette and Nestor (the characters that bother me even more than Bea)
Yes, Ingrid as Luciana and Eduardo as Augusto crack me up, even if the characters are people we would not be able to even stand next to in real life. ALso the girl playing Daphne is really good.

Thank you for that added information about the hospital and Luciana!

I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say and we move forward in this show. Roberto is not being honest but I like him so much more than some other so-called galans because I still think he has more respect and compassion than other characters.

Just finished watching this episode...thanks Marta for the awesome recap. Definitely filled in some conversations I missed.

Magos Magos....if she is as jealous as she looks about Ximena relationship with Lichita she should do something about it.

Luciana is a hoot. I am glad she didnt get away with stealing another idea from Lichita. Luckily both Daphne and Roberto aided in that. But I am sure this is not the end of Luciana and Iconika. I just hope they done take back the editor position from Lichita once again.

The plot thickens with Augusto...I wonder who the mystery person is.

I love Roberto too. To often the galan starts off perfect, falls in love at first sight and then becomes an idiot, unrecognizable. Here Roberto is imperfect, living by his wits and lies, knows it, and meets his polar opposite and somewhere in the middle is heaven for both. It's not overnight, two steps forward and one back but you see Roberto falling in love with Alicia.

CeCe - I will be very frustrated if Lichita loses that promotion. Surely they aren't going to use that same plot device over and over?

tofie-WORD to the whole comment especially "falls in love at first sight and becomes an idiot." It's been nice to watch Roberto and Alicia work together and to see the feelings developing. I think Alicia fell pretty quickly, but it's coming off more like puppy love that's growing. I like this better than the love at first sight cliche.

Falling in love, how romantic!

tofie, I too love your way to express what many of us feel...
Roberto is imperfect, living by his wits and lies, knows it, and meets his polar opposite and somewhere in the middle is heaven for both...
wonderful!! and so true about most galans starting real smart and proper and becoming idiots at the hands of the villains... of course the leading lady being left alone to suffer the consequences.

tofie: along with everyone else im in totally agreement. Its a refreshing change from the love at first sight cliche as Sara mentioned. I respect Roberto so much more for slowly realizing who Alicia is and respecting her at this stage as opposed to some radical makeover both in appearance and personality.

Poor Daphne...she really wants her mother to care about her the way she does about Luciana. Its sad that she is treated so poorly by her parents. Not too surprised with Augusto since there's only room for himself in his life but Beatriz is supposedly "righteous" person. I wonder how the older brother fared out...perhaps this is why he chooses to remain in school far far away from his emotionally devoid parents.
