Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #40 Mon 10/19/15 (Mex 54) Of Course You Love Me, I Suck-a Yo' Face!

When last we were at the Angeles ranch, Granny Eloisa heard Pedro telling Aitana about having awakened nekkid and nose to nose with Sonia in his bedroom.  "Get in here RIGHT NOW, Petey!"  Granny barks!  There were several scenes prior to the resolution of this little snafu but here's the deal.  Petey deftly questions Granny about what she heard and spins each piece as she reveals it:  He had a few whiskeys at El Corporativo to unwind after a rough day at the office and treated Sonia badly.  He gets away with an admonition not to get liquored up at the office and to offer Sonia an apology.  Granny directs her irritation at the intercom repair dude:  Fix it now or get fired!

Fibrizio, fake shrink, is doing some spinning of his own to try to get Fiorella to say whether she saw Dante and Freddie kissing.  Isn't there something she's suppressing?  Fifi flashes back the five and half minutes of romance we've had in this little tale and after much back and forth babbling comes to the conclusion that it's thoughts of Pedro she's suppressing and she must not!  She must postpone her wedding!  She hugs the confused Fibrizio and breezes out of the kitchen!

Dante and Federica discuss whether Fidel knows he monkeyed with the brakes on the SUV.  Yah, Dante thinks he suspects him.  Her solution?  Kill Fidel.  Dante thinks she's crazy, he has a different idea.  Later Freddie debriefs Fibrizio.  She is not impressed with his work and doesn't want to pay him because he didn't deliver the goods.  We don't know who won.  Dante's idea?  He stages a phony conversation in the employees locker room between himself and the intercom repair dude which is supposed to lead Fidel to believe that the dirty gloves and cable in Dante's locker were due to Dante's failed attempt to fix the intercom system.  As planned, Fidel overhears this whole little drama and seems to buy it.

Gael and Gigi continue going through their rough patch.  He tries to placate her with a flower and his insistence that he just wants them to take things slow with Granny.  She contends it's more than that and accuses him of not wanting to introduce her to his friends.  On one hand he's ashamed and hides her and on the other he gets jealous because of her friendship with Benito.  Gigi huffs away and Gael tries again later, this time with a rose outside her bedroom window.  Ah, the magic is working until Gael hears Dante near by and quickly shifts into an overloud request for Gianna to perform some maidly duty in the big house.  She shuts him down, calls him a big phony and closes the curtains in his face!  So there!

Fifi charges in excitedly and catapults Gigi out of her snit with the news that she is going to postpone her wedding to Vitto.  Happy hugs!  Fifi wants to tell Benito as well.  He will also be happy for her and give her the courage to tell Vitto.  Speak of the old devil, Vitto calls Fifi and they agree to meet at the restaurant that night.

Eloisa tries to get to the bottom of Sergio's beat down.  She doesn't believe it was merely a robbery.  She wants to know how dangerous this enemy is.  She remembers all the scrapes and close calls she and his Dad got him out of when he was young.  Sergio looks like he's regressed back to those days as he looks off in the distance with a wounded pout on his face.

Well.  We find out how Julieta planned to "take care of" the situation with Anibal.  She catches Fiorella in the hallway and tries to sell her on a plan to act as bait to catch Anibal in a compromising situation thus proving that he's a philandering son of a gun!  To her credit Fiorella flatly refuses, sticks to her guns and demands to know how Julieta could ask such a thing of her knowing what Anibal tried with her in the first place.  Julieta apparently thinks the threat of her being kicked off the gravy train and having her lover boy, Sergemeister, having his fanny kicked is enough for Fiorella to take up this dishonorable and disagreeable task.  Fifi is furious:  "Everybody in this house thinks everything can be solved by throwing money at it and care nothing about other people's feelings!  I'm not going to do it!  I'm sorry, but don't count on me!"  Fiorella's floral flock shines as she makes a determined and dignified exit from the room!

At La Dolce Vita Vitto and Diana go over invitations.  She shoots down every selection and then suggests he is too soft on his fiance:  he lets her flit all over town flirting with other men, like the young, virile, energetic Benito.  Vitto is more experienced and has more to offer but he needs to be more stern with Fifi.

Anibal meets with and congratulates his thug and orders another, more severe beating and this time he doesn't want Julieta or Sergio to have any time to react.  They drink to it.

In Pedro's bedroom he and Aitana sit shoulder to shoulder as he finishes the story of how he did or did not "have sexual relations with that woman."  He doesn't remember anything but there is a chance that Sonia's baby is his.  Awwwwww, it's all right, Petey, Aitana understands!  It's a grave matter but he can count on her unconditionally.  They embrace and we watch in horror as her face becomes a cold mask and her eyes take on the glare of death!  Yikes!  Her face changes back to it's usual stiffly made up but warmer appearance as they break the embrace and Pedro thanks her.  It means so much to him!  He wants to go take a shower.  He feels tense and tired.  When Pedro comes out of the shower Aitana is in his bed clad only in his shirt.  She wants to relieve his tension.  Pedro tries to beg off.  His confession of maybe fathering Sonia's baby doesn't exactly put him in the mood.  Well, this is Petey so Aitana pushes him down on the bed, mounts and begins to kiss him, smothering him with her seaweed hair.

Oh, there must be something in the air.  Assvaldo enters Alina's office just as a client walks out and fastens his mouth over hers like a plunger over the hole in the toilet bowl.

Fifi goes to see Benito, asks how he is doing and is glad he is recuperating so well.  She tells him about her decision to postpone the wedding.  He was right all along and she is grateful.   Because he wants to, he mistakes her gratitude for lurve and similarly affixes his mouth to her face.

Back to facial assault number one.  Pedro manages to stand up and tells Aitana to put her clothes on.  She thought they could be like they were before.  Oh, all right.  She agrees to be patient:  What happened was long before she became his novia.  If the baby is his, she will love it just the same.  She will not refuse the child of the love of her life.  He thanks her again for being so understanding and goes back toward the bathroom to get dressed.  Aitana jumps on the bed on her back and kicks her legs in the air in a happy dance.  No.  Not like that.

Facial assault number three ends when Fifi pulls away, wipes her mouth and asks what the heck Benito is doing.  RPC because Fiorella made it very clear she only cares for this idiot as a friend and that she has just decided to postpone her wedding and has neither head nor heart for him or anyone else.  His response?  Fate has decided they be together; the accident has bonded them more closely;  SHE saved HIS life!  He will wait for her!  Gag. Me.  Okay.  So while he was trying to suction Fifi's face his Dad brought Roxi to the room and they caught the whole scene.  Roxi flounces to the living room where Rey makes lame attempts to explain it away as she was changing his bandages.  Roxi knows what she saw: Benito was kissing Fiorella.  Roxi leaves, but not before insulting Rey, his home, family and their station in life. After Fiorella leaves and Rey tells Benito that Roxi saw the kiss, Benito has the nerve to be briefly upset.  Benito quickly recovers because he's on cloud nine thinking he's found the love of his life.  Adela comes in during this conversation and gets all giggly when she hears about the Fifi kiss and actually asks Benito did he like it, what was it like, did he get butterflies?  What the hell?  Go ahead and ask him if he got a woody!  Jeez-o-pete!

Ok, back to Alina and the Ass.  Alina pulls back, wipes her mouth and slaps Assvaldo and asks what the hell is he doing?  I'm sorry.  I have to RPC this.  I don't have any cats to scare but The Boys (hubby and son) were wondering what was wrong with me as I groaned over and over, "Oh, no!  Oh, no!  Awwww man!  NO!  STOP!"  In one of the most disappointing lust scenes I've ever had the misfortune to witness, Ailana and Assvaldo go after each other, eating face and stripping nekkid right in the consultorio.  Okay.  Let's see.  I won't call her a slut, just a lowdown, unethical, unprofessional, useless slug to screw the brother of her client, a married man,  in her professional office on HIS whim.  You're in the wrong profession, Alina.  I knew from the first time I saw you you weren't about sh*t.  Thanks for the confirmation.

Pedro walks Aitana to her car, thanking her again for understanding.  Gianna sees this and when Pedro comes to ask after Fiorella, she rips him another one:  Fiorella is not here, she's with Vitto and a good thing she's NOT here to see him walking around everywhere with his novia!

Sonia nervously waits for Ass boy to return home and takes a call that Simoneta brings her.  Prolly Fabio.

Fiorella arrives at La Dolce Vita and gone is the spine of earlier in the day when she told Julieta off.  He's babbling about invitations and linens and other wedding stuff.  He "innocently" keeps cutting her off as she tries to cut him off.  She eventually gives up.  He notes her mood and asks if everything is all right.  Yes.  Everything is fine, she answers.  He proposes a toast and I propose a barf.

Dinner time finds Pedro alone at the Angeles table when Roxi storms in.  She reports that she went to the chauffeur's house because she is such a fine representative of the magnanimous Angeles family, looking after the help as they do.  "I don't know what they are always bitching about, we treat them as if they were human."  Quina is waiting the table and we can see the sting this remark has.  She warns Pedro not to go there unannounced so what happened to her won't happen to him.  Whazzat?   "Benito was kissing the maid, you know, that gata that you like."  Pedro has the nerve to look thunderstruck.

Okay, my Peeps! West Coast, represent! East Coast gotta go ta work in the mornin'! Have at it! Corrections welcome! Buona notte

Lila! Gracias! I'm so sorry...why do you always get the ones with the high ick factor?! I will admit I was looking forward to some good ranting, and I enjoyed every word of it.

"Petey deftly questions Granny about what she heard and spins each piece as she reveals it" deftly is right! I can't believe he got away with that!

"As planned, Fidel overhears this whole little drama and seems to buy it." I can't believe he bought it!

"Gael and Gigi continue going through their rough patch." *sob* Please, kids, get it together! You're my only hope!

"They embrace and we watch in horror as her face becomes a cold mask and her eyes take on the glare of death! Yikes!" I say "YES!" Aitana vs. Sonia: let the games begin.

"Fastens his mouth over hers like a plunger over the hole in the toilet bowl" Duuuuuude! And that's about the level of grossness. For real.

"Gag. Me." Seriously. Benito's just...well, he did get hit on the head. But still.

"He proposes a toast and I propose a barf." Word. I swear, I saw the light drain out of her eyes.

Great stuff, Lila! The most apt: Assvaldo enters Alina's office just as a client walks out and fastens his mouth over hers like a plunger over the hole in the toilet bowl. I'm still laughing!

Your description of Aitana says it all. She's a demon.

Fiorella lost her nerve again. No surprise.

This was a complete episode, #54.

More later.

Thank you for this funny recap Lila. I loved your descriptions of Assvaldo and Alina scenes. Oh well I know that this is not a so sane relationship but that makes it more interesting. And it is very good for Sonia to receive a spoon of her own chocolate, now Assvaldo is putting the horns on her just like she did with him. I want to see her jealous but oh well I feel compassion for Alina because she fell with a wolf.

Oh I am hating this gaels weak attitude with Gianna. There is enough messing with Fiorella and Pedro to also now ruin gigi and gaels romance.

Thanks, Lila. I tried one last time to like this show last night and failed. Thank heaven for your marvelous recap. Sorry you had to get that horrid Alina/Osvaldo scene. *shudder*

Lila, you just cut right to the chase don't you. Brilliant recap!

"Fastens his mouth over hers like a plunger over the hole in the toilet bowl". I mean, that's sheer poetry!

Amazing last night was an untouched episode. I guess all this mouth plunging and misunderstanding are supposed to be our comedic elements? Yeah, not so much. I really could care less about Petey and Aitanna anymore. He's just a wuss. But then again, for all her bluster, so eventually was Fifi. Indecision Day #42. (give or take).

I think I'm supposed to find Benito humorous? To me, he's still a annoying. Can't get passed how the writers are playing this character.

I'm still firmly at the Gael table. That poor boy has years of abuse and wanting to feel like he's doing the right thing for approval to get over. I have faith he will.

And if not, and heaven help us, they hook him up with Rox after all, Gia, did you look at that professor?

Daisynjay

Buongiorno Muchacha Peeps!

Diva! Carita mia! Mille grazie, eh! Yah, I guess I do get the gag-worthy episodes! Petey got skilz, ain't he? Here we were wondering how Granny was going to use this damning evidence and by gum, he talked Granny down so fast, I didn't know what happened!

Whoo, girl! Did you see that chick's face! Damn! That heffa is DANGERous!

I had fun dissing these idiots! Back in a flash. Gotta do getting ready for work stuff!

Mille grazie, Urbanita! Girl, that image of Assvaldo's "kiss" came to me like a gift and is born of the frustration of not seeing some real LOVE! And now they done gone and messed up Gael and Gigi! Gah! See you later, Urb!

Buongiorno e grazie, Marla! And it is very good for Sonia to receive a spoon of her own chocolate, now Assvaldo is putting the horns on her just like she did with him.

I guess that's one way of looking at that coupling! And we're all on the same page with Gael and Gigi!

Sarita! Grazie! That's okay, hon! You can probably check in every few weeks or so and not miss a whole lot. You know I LOVE to have you come in and throw darts at everybody from time to time! Mille grazie sorellina mia!

Daisynjay! Grazie tanto, eh! Well, in terms of Petey's wussiness and Fifi caving, look at it like this: they have even more in common now! Wait, what's that? Not becoming of a leading couple? Oh. Yah. There's that.

ITA on Benito. I have not liked that dip stick from the first show. SO annoying! Sheesh!

I'm still firmly at the Gael table. That poor boy has years of abuse and wanting to feel like he's doing the right thing for approval to get over. I have faith he will. YES!

Daisy, sshhhh to Gigi about the Hot Prof!

Hey LILA, loved the recap--Thank you! Episode was pretty much goo-slinging from all sides, left me wanting a pack of baby wipes...

Yep, as DaisynJay noted, "Assvaldo...fastens his mouth over hers like a plunger over the hole in the toilet bowl." That kinda set the tone for the whole show.

Meanwhile, Aitana of the Sea-weed Hair is showing her true colors; poor Gael is losing his new GF after one day; Benito is causing Roxy to feel the pangs of *gulp* rejection! (He is acting pretty shallow these days.)

It's pretty pathetic when Sergio ends up looking like the most pulled-together, romantic galan.

J in Oregon

Ooh DaisynJay I DID notice the hotte anatomy professor!
I was waiting for some kind of hint that he might be a PFG *(Potential Future Galan).
J in O

J in O! Buongiorno e grazie!

It's pretty pathetic when Sergio ends up looking like the most pulled-together, romantic galan

J, that says it all!

Y'all carry on on the Patio. At work now. Never know when I'm left to my own devices or when it's a madhouse, like yesterday!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to recall that Benito is supposed to be in his 20's. Guys that age are usually shallow, which is why younger galans usually are in their early 30s. Right now he's like a kid in a candy store. At least he has the good fortune to have loving parents who want the best for him.

Which can't be said for most of the Angeles clan.

I want to know more about Pedro's mother. Did Eloisa approve of her? Did Sergio knock her up before the wedding? We know how she died, but not what drove her to it. Was that the Angeles or was it something before she met Sergio?

Pedro is the only member of that entire clan with a real work ethic; I'm exempting Eloisa because of her age. We know now that Federica was raised with the expectation of her marrying well, so she wasn't expected to work in the family business. How is it she got to this point and is still unmarried? Were all the guys she publicly dated unacceptable or did she do what Pedro is now doing and hid the ones she knew they wouldn't accept? Or is she doing this to avoid being pressured into having children? Enquiring minds and all that...

Urban, I've said in previous recap comments that I suspect Granny Eloisa's toxic presence and micro-managing of her "family" as contributing to Pedro's mom's drug abuse and eventual suicide. Yes, I know, personal responsibility and all that but a poisonous, oppressive person, especially in the role of a parental authority figure can break a soul down and lead them to want to escape and sometimes suicide seems the only way. Eloisa didn't even have to disapprove per se, she just had to be her overbearing, dismissive, emotionally impaired, control freak self to drive a body to drinking or drug abuse.

Ditto a lot of the dynamics for Freddie's case. As she said last week she was groomed for marriage and child bearing and was not allowed to pursue a university education. Of course, this was Granny Eloisa's doing. I have no doubt that Eloisa vetoed every one of her suitors. Who knows how old she was when she just gave up, decided to dig more into what happened to Daddy (who knows when she started suspecting foul play there). She must have gotten close to Dante as she looked for clues and maybe he made the first move toward a sexual relationship to throw her off his trail as being directly involved in Gabriel's demise.

After Eloisa had shot down all Freddie's prospects and Freddie took up with Dante (of course, Eloisa doesn't know this) Eloisa must've just also given up on Freddie's marrying once she reached "old maid" status and thus the (presumed) inability to bear a child. I don't know of what "value" Freddie's child would have been to Eloisa anyway seeing as how it wouldn't be born of a male Angeles. So now Eloisa is focusing on Assvaldo's child to be.

I don't know what's worse, Benito's behavior, or Gael thinking Benito is worth getting jealous over. I almost want Gia to meet some other age-appropriate guy in her classes, but if Gael's already this insecure...ugh, not something I want to see.

I'm having a harder time taking Eloisa seriously. She's not living up to her reputation for evil. After watching Pedro give her those weak excuses for what she heard and get away with it. Oh, yeah, Eloisa, you're bad. Pfft! Whatever.

Sergio is starting to pull it together...or maybe getting back to the guy he used to be? The constant drinking is supposed to be his way of forgetting his pain over his wife's death--by his own admission.

I can see Fed's obsession for "revenge" keeping any guy from really making an impression on her. Unless they were willing to go along with her crazy...which is how she ended up with Dante, I guess.

The actress playing Federica is now 45 years old, but we all know how much this really means in casting. Just when does a woman reach the point of imminent spinsterhood in modern-day Mexico, anyway? And does this age vary by financial status?

I wonder whether Pedro's mother came from a toxic family because of the birds-of-a-feather thing I've observed in life. The vast majority of my female friends had toxic mothers or their substitutes. Three of them married men from equally troubled families and the others never married. That isn't a coincidence.

I do wonder how old she was when she started on this vengeance for Daddy kick. She couldn't have always been on it that's why I think when she was younger she did have beaus but Eloisa shot them like arrows right out of Freddie's life. Maybe that made Freddie start wondering just who and what the hell her old Aunti was and thus the digging into what happened to Daddy and eventually the revenge kick.

That is indeed interesting, Urban. Maybe Pedro's mom DID come from a toxic family, was attracted to Pedro's toxic family and thus the lethal cocktail that took her out.

I don't see any reason Fed couldn't have started the "they killed my dad!" obsession as soon as he died. It may not have started for any logical reason. It could have been more about a child's need to explain why something bad had happened.

And maybe I'm overthinking her single-ness. Five minutes in her presence, seeing the way she treats pretty much everyone around her...would you want to date her? 'Cause I'll pass!

Five minutes in her presence! Hee hee! How old was she supposed to be when Gabriel died. I thought she was rather young and, as kids do, accepted the story she was told. Starting to look into what really happened to Daddy seems an act of cynical youth, or, as I said, something she started doing after Eloisa pissed her off by deep sixing her boyfriends.

Anyway. Enough of Freddie. What do y'all think of that so called psychologist? Seems these TN writers don't think much of women professionals, especially mental health professionals. Alina never screamed ETHICS to me.

I will echo that Kat on Freddy. Even if some guy approached on those rare occasions she leaves the ranch through the years, if she showed up at the front door in those outfits and said hats, there's probably a path still there leading into the hills where the guys ran through.

Kidding aside, if Dad dies under weird circumstances, it just sent her on a path that kept her focused on revenge and money. She's too self-absorbed to want to truly bring anyone else into her world. They have to worship at the alter that is Frederica and do her bidding. She's a mini-Eloisa. Plus, if her influence was the likes of Grammie Monster, then marriage is only needed for business connections and money, she saw no need to jump in. She wants all that cash for herself. I don't think for a minute she would share a penny with Dante if she got it. She's using him...

As for Petey's mom, I'm still throwing my hat into the ring on another clan member that was in love with someone they couldn't have. She drank to oblivion to dull the pain and heartache until it took too much drink and pills to dull. NOW THAT would have been some good story-telling. I may be wrong, but it plays well with an evil witch (Eloisa) messing with people's lives to get what she wanted and the others realized late caving to her demands only caused heartache, not what they wished for. So "Into the Woods".

Daisynjay

Thanks, Lila, food another snappy recap.

Daisynjay.."kept her focused in revenge and money"......and hats. Do not forget her fixation on the hats.

Food????..I must be hungry. That was supposed to be "for." Sorry, I am brushing up on adverb clauses, so I am unfocused...and not wearing a hat.

Daisy, you mean Pedro's Mom was in love with someone else instead of Sergio?

Picture it...swanky party...teenage Fed...

Eloisa: Federica, come over here, there's someone I want you to meet. This is Joven Snob of the Snob family. I'll leave you two to get to know each other.
Joven Snob: Hey. Nice house. You live here?
Teen Fed: I have to. They killed my dad, you know.
Joven Snob: I...uh....
Teen Fed: One day, I'll expose them all for the heartless murderers they are and all this will be mine.
Joven Snob: Um...excuse me...I...bathroom?
Teen Fed: Down the hall, second door on the left, past the picture of my dead dad. You can't miss it.
Joven Snob: *leaves a cloud of dust and cologne behind as he flees*

I don't think most TNs have a positive view of mental health professionals in general. Though, even if I don't take Alina is a stand-in for the entire profession...if you're going to have someone who breaks all the rules of ethics and violates her own principles, I'm still not going to believe that OSVALDO is the guy who inspires taking that kind of a risk. He's been a total ass! He's been downright rude to her, rude to her clients, he stalked her...that is not a guy you throw it all away for!

DIVA!! TSIF! ROFLMAO! Good one!

Grazie, Susanlynn! I think your tablet has become an entity that taps into your subconscious and physiological states. Better watch out! ;D

Diva at 11:17: Speak Truth, Sister!

Here's a a slightly different scenario. Let's say Alina was attracted to Ozzie and he WASN'T an ass, still married, and he pursued her, even just to "put another coin in his collection." And he's still the brother of her client and he's relentless in pursuing her. He finds out where she lives and even stalks her there and she falls prey to his "charms" on her own private turf. OR, they decide to go to a hotel. If that were the scenario I would still think her ethics were shaky but the way she did it and they way you and I describe it, Diva and WHAT Assvaldo IS! Come on! that is not a guy you throw it all away for! AMEN!

Can a guy be married and actively pursue another woman, and somehow not be an ass? I mean, ok, there was that guy in Terms of Endearment. But, besides him.

What are the odds he'll be so totally over her now that he's gotten what he wanted? And how many other times has he done this?!

Well, yeah, you know, the poor guy whose wife is always putting horns on him and cutting him off and drawing fire from the toxic family, you know, they could have painted Ozzie as long-suffering because of his wife's cheapness and depravity but a good guy at heart.

Nah, they've already got poor overworked Pedro and sweet Gael. Someone had to be an ass.

Lila, thanks for the whimsical recap. I like your Funny descriptions of certain things for instance "facial assult, 1,2,3, very funny. And
The gross one, 'like a plunger over a toilet bowl Hole" That was a nasty funny one, but it fits the people perfectly, (assvaldo & ailana).
See, everytime fifi and pedeyboy get that get
Up and go fire, it fizzles out, and nothing gets
Done, right back to first base. More fizzle to
Come.

Grazie, Nina!

Well. Here you go, team! We don't have to write anymore recaps:

See, everytime fifi and pedeyboy get that get Up and go fire, it fizzles out, and nothing gets Done, right back to first base. More fizzle to Come.

You nailed it, Nina!

Oh...were we writing recaps because we needed to? I thought it was just so I could have a socially appropriate place to run my smart mouth :p

hee hee! That, too!

Oh Lila, this was sublime.

I missed almost all of this but thanks to your fantastic recap, I feel as though I missed nothing. "Fifi flashes back the five and half minutes of romance we've had in this little tale" (how utterly true!); "Julieta apparently thinks the threat of her being kicked off the gravy train and having her lover boy, Sergemeister, having his fanny kicked is enough for Fiorella to take up this dishonorable and disagreeable task" and "Pedro has the nerve to look thunderstruck." were wonderful.

“On one hand he's ashamed and hides her and on the other he gets jealous because of her friendship with Benito”. Although I am still enamored with Gael, I do not think Gi is far off the mark. None of the men in the family (and I mean none) have the strength or courage to stand up to Eloisa when it comes to their “upstairs” love for the “downstairs” maidens.

I'm delighted Roxi caught Benito in a compromising position! Doesn't seem to have exactly abated her snobbery any, has it? Benito is in love. He has it bad and Fi's assertion she wants him in the friend zone just doesn't seem to be sinking in.

I'm sorry I missed Aitana's mask slipping. I fear for Sonia's child. Very much.

Thank you Lila!

Diana

You guys slay me. Crap day at work brightened by reading the latest comments. This TN is good for that, we have to admit it.

And yeah, Lila, I'm just wondering since we seem to have a theme going here of "true loves" not necessarily being what the seem and everyone seems to want to be with someone different then their spouse or the one they are promised to. Sergio may care about his son NOW, but he's not exactly a shining example of someone who got out and made something productive out of himself. (Does he have a job? Didn't think so.)

Frankly the current stories, except for Gael and Gia and that better start going right, are rather MEH and a lot of the folks I could give a flying fig about. I want some back stories!!! I'm betting we could get some juicier stuff there.

Daisynjay

Love every word Lila. Yours, not the penmanship of the writers.

"awakened nekkid and nose to nose"

Has Gianna forgotten Gael stuck his neck out when he paid for her university?

Aitana - no need to reinvent the wheel

Fio - I'm resolved in my resolve to be irresolute

Benito - the kiss was great but wait till she see Big Ben

Gianna - the Piranha

Julieta - bait shop

Osvaldo - what's the problem, she reminds me of Sonia

Dante - cue, an 8 ft fool lurks outside the door

Vitto - betcha didn't think anyone could leave her speechless

I want to know what Simona does on her days off. 'Cause she always looks happy no matter what's going on, unlike nearly everyone else in that house. I want to imagine that she's got a smokin' hot love life with some guy in Dos Rios or someone who works at the next rancho over. Or one of the stable guys.

I got a giggle out of Pedro walking Aitana out to her car in his puffy jacket...and his pajama pants! Where were the paparazzi to get a shot of that fashion statement? :D

Lol, tofie, I get a kick out of your Vito line, especially after the fake therapist whined that Fi never shuts up!

Lila - hilarious and fantastic recap! The plunger line is an instant classic for me.'

Speaking of which, if they were going to cut things, couldn't they have cut that lust scene? I know I shouldn't have any expectations for Alina given her (so far) minor role, but when Osvaldo started in on his "you know you want me" speech, I could've puked. He actually said something to the effect of "who do you think you are? A fine, ethical professional?" I really wanted her to say "yes!" and slap him upside the head! I'm offended for women everywhere. She's the only female professional on the whole darn show and this is her character?! For the first in a good while, I feel like something on a TN really, truly, no-doubt-about-it slapped me in the face with its sexism.

Word, hellashelle! To everything you said! And they gave us the sexy sax soundtrack like we're supposed to think that was hot or something? Blech!

OMG!! hellashelle...You rock! That sums up what I do think is the message we are getting so far in this "fable". Bet some guy who wishes his wife was waiting for him with slippers at the door and a seven course dinner on a Wednesday is writing this thing.

Except for Gia, none of the women are shown to really want, operative word is "want", to be having a job of their own (Sonia looks nauseous whenever she is actually having to read something at work) nor do they seem to aspire to anything. To have what should be a professional who took, we hope, YEARS to get her degree and get where she is cave to that little twerp was just embarrassing at every level.

Hey, young girls...go to school cause you might have to earn a living if you can't land a husband or aren't rich, but secretly you really want to boink with the married rich guy who degrades you and treats you like a piece of property and maybe he'll leave the wife for you and then you'll be rich and can stop working. Now there's a PSA for you.

For Federica to not have a college education is not realistic to me in view of her family's wealth and position. Scarlett O'Hara's time was over 150 years ago and we all should know better by now.

I wonder whether Mexican girls are being taught that they should hide their intelligence or starve it to death in order to be attractive to men. I have a friend who still believes this. My word is that if a man can't handle being with an intelligent woman he isn't worthy of one.

That's why it's important to call out this BS when we see it.

Oh Lila, I'm a bit under the weather today, but if laughter could cure, I would be feeling terrific right now. From the get-go with your title ...I Sucka-Yo-Face (is that a shoutout to Comonnamy house?) you had me rolling. Your description of the toilet plunger kiss should go on the sidebar, and your deft inclusion of Clinton's infamous denial were all just perfect.

Alas this was a truly miserable episode. Hopes raised, and then dashed again. But your humor never failed. Thanks a million.

Lila - Thank you for the recap! It is a work of art, if I do say so myself. Also, your description of Assvaldo/Alina's kiss painted a very vivid word picture in my mind. LOL!

No time to watch this one so I really appreciate it!

Oh, yes; one more thing. Julieta had some nerve asking Fiorella to be the bait in the trap for Anibal. She insulted her from the get-go, accused her of trying to bind her, accused her of other dishonorable stuff, insults her people and then demands her help in what she knows will be a dangerous situation. I'd say she might be thinking that she could be rid of both of them in one shot.

Diana, amica bella! Mille grazie!

Benito is in love. He has it bad and Fi's assertion she wants him in the friend zone just doesn't seem to be sinking in.

Good Lord, what a brick head he is! Diana, you should have seen that look Aitana had on her face literally behind Pedro's back! It fits the season, that's for sure!

Daisy, honey, I'm right with ya:

Tofie!! Ciao, ragazza! Girl! You make an excellent point! Has Gianna forgotten Gael stuck his neck out when he paid for her university?

YAH! What about that! Bang up list, amica, bang up! Grazie tanto!

Hella! Sorellina mia! Mille, mille grazie! I could repeat your whole comment about Alina! That's exactly how I felt! I was soooo disappointed!

I'm offended for women everywhere. She's the only female professional on the whole darn show and this is her character?! For the first in a good while, I feel like something on a TN really, truly, no-doubt-about-it slapped me in the face with its sexism.

If Fifi having the singular desire to get married as her only happiness is a bad message for young women, what about Alina. "Oh yeah, go ahead and get your degree but we know, not too deep below the surface, is a sex starved vixen just waiting for any man with a good blood flow to set you free and make a REAL woman out of you, make you fulfill your REAL purpose in life!"

Gol-danggit I could just spit!

JudyB!!! Hey, girl, I'm so glad to hear from you! Sorry you're under the weather.

I send Love and Light!))))))))))))))))))

So glad to add the healing balm of laughter to your day! I've just decided my role on the recap team is to get most of the crapola episodes! I live to serve!

Mille grazie and feel better, amica!

Doris!! Mille grazie, carita! Glad to save you from the Alina/Assvaldo tryst. Truly shameful and disappointing!

Urban@ 3:09. You are SO RIGHT! That was sooo low of Julieta. I thought she was just going to ask her to testify to her lawyer about Animal's trying to recruit her as a mistress. Yah. Julieta lost most of what few points she has with me!

Don't know what happened to my quote from you, Daisy, that I was agreeing with above. This is it:

I want some back stories!!! I'm betting we could get some juicier stuff there.

I don't even mind Fiorella's virtually single-minded desire to marry, I just mind that Alina is "the other side" of the coin. Could we actually have a professional female who actually acts professionally?

I don't mind it either, Hella, there was just a comment yesterday about that message for young women. What an unnecessary, low b low. What was the point of even having Alina IN the damned show in the first place, just to berate and mock the idea of a woman professional? I know this is "just a show" but girl, that blew me away. What a piece of crap!

Lila- Just getting to this snarkilicious recap and the equally inspired comments. Gracias, and amen to the recap and all of the comments. Hellashelle- Loved your whole comment about the sexism in this tale. Wow! I'm glad this has fallen off my watch list, at least for now.

I'm wondering if Osvaldo's affair will have the same result as Sonia's. That would be a serious plot point.

I knew she was bad news from the first hungry look she gave Assvaldo when she first met him. Well, even before that, when she was blabbing to Eloisa about her session with Gael.

Now she both knows that Assvaldo is married, AND has been asked directly by her PATIENT Gael to have nothing to do with his brother. So, what does she do? She gets involved with his mean, married brother. Idiot.

Grazie, Vivi! WAH! Don't stop stopping by! Alina turned out a lot worse than I thought she'd be. I thought there might be a slow seduction, which is bad enough, but she pulled out all the stops, among other things.

Hella, yes, they will probably go there to the old preggers line with Alina. They're not very imaginative at all.

Vivi, ITA. I pronounced her just another in the long line of unethical, unscrupulous and just stupid so-called professional women.

I did get to watch the first 15 minutes of this episode and Febreeze was just pathetic actor portraying a shrink. What shrink gets that upset and frustrated??? Clearly that guy never watches movies or TV. LOL

About Federica --- my theory about why she is not married is her terrible fashion taste. Those outfits! Those hats! Most guys probably want to scrub their eyes after running in the opposite direction.

I hit "post" before I was finished. . .

Febreeze never saw Dr. Melfie!

Okay. No more comment bombs. We're off to hockey game tonite.

Have fun at the hockey game, doris! Good point about fake Fabrizio...bad actor! That's not how you improv!

Are we going to completely ignore Pedro's "estsmpa de trampa"? I know that's not what "trampa" means, but I couldn't resist.
