Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #59 Fri 11/13/15 (Mex 85-86) Gianna's Illness provides Fiorella an Escape from Hell Resort AND Free Both from The Dragon's Lair!
Freddie snoops in Pedro's office, finds documents related to the swindle of Maximo's brother and Freddie's Father, Gabriel Angeles. She is convinced, therefore, that Pedro is not only fully aware of the swindle, but an accomplice! Dante vigorously disagrees with her but Freddie is convinced Granny brought him up to speed and now he's covering for her. Freddie vows that Pedro and any other Angeles involved MUST PAY!
Assvaldo and Sonia meet with Fabio in a restaurant to recruit him to join with them in their "bring down Pedro" scheme. He doesn't even need to fully hear them out and asks them if the whole thing is a joke or if the conversation is being recorded. Fabio flatly refuses: he WILL NOT be involved in sinking Pedro nor allying himself with the likes of them! Fabio looks like he wants to laugh right in their faces and doesn't look the least bit intimidated when they threaten to tell his wife and send some of the "hundreds" of damning photos of him and Sonia to his wife. We'll have to find out how this one turned out later!
Sergio continues his quest to find out if there is anything still going on between Julieta and Santino. Julieta confesses to what, for her, is a shameful chapter in her life: she and Santino had a daughter together but agreed to give her up for adoption to a rich family in Rome. Julieta returned to Mexico, time passed, she married the animal (Anibal). She later tried to find both her daughter and Santino without success. Now, he has found her. Sergio wants to know if Santino wants to rekindle their old relationship. Well, I don't know what he's trying to rekindle but we see Julieta Skyping him with him later (we don't get to see the former stallion) and he claims their daughter is getting married in Rome and he offers to fly her there for the wedding! She agrees! Say whaaaaaat?
After an interruption for a bulletin about some terrible mayhem in Paris, we have Aitana getting a "screw Pedro" tune up from her Dad. He's going to make sure Pedro doesn't back out of his engagement to her by using some of the valuable data she's supplied from her snooping for some kind of stock swindle!
Later Aitana asks long-time functionary, Marín, to look into a former (deceased) ACorp employee named Bianchi. In an earlier conversation with Pedro she had questioned him about his intense interest in the well being of Fiorella and Gianna and he retold the story of his promise to care for the daughters of this deceased employee.
Fidel thanks Quina for curing him of his. . . *HA-CHOO!!*. . . cold. Simoneta comes in, Fidel rolls his eyes as she teases them about being the third wedding at El Rancho and how they make such a cute couple! Fidel and Quina brush off her teasing and deny there's anything between them.
The main action surrounds Fiorella and Gianna. Fiorella finally learns of Gianna's crisis after Vitto lets her call Adela since Gianna's phone went unanswered. Adela, Rey, and Gael are all at the hospital. Fiorella insists on leaving Hell Resort and finally Vitto agrees. Vitto, Fiorella, Benito, Pedro and Aitana all arrive at the hospital. Aitana tries to pull Pedro away immediately but he insists on staying to see how Gianna is doing and remains involved until she is discharged, as we shall see. There is a brief but chilling scene where Vitto tells Rey that he realized on this trip that if he wants Fiorella to be his wife, they have to get far away from here (the Angeles, Dos Rios, etc.), that he has to do whatever is necessary for her to be his mujer -- which I know means "wife" but for me, coming out of Vitto's mouth, it has the connotation of being HIS woman, owning her, possessing her, in every sense of the word! He repeats, "whatever is necessary!"
Roxi arrives at the hospital to check on Gianna as well and we see Gael as forceful as he's ever been, put her out, blaming her for having brought on Gianna's crisis. Later Gael's colleague, Anel, calls him and tells him how Roxi saved Gianna's life: everybody witnessed this act of heroism! He and Gianna are open-mouthed impactada! Roxi has a hissy fit in her bedroom, trashing it and abusing a poor, fat, fluffy white bear! Eloisa is accusatory and provocative, as usual. Roxi protests that SHE's always the black sheep but what about her precious Angeles grandson going with a maid and she doesn't mean Pedro, but Gael! Granny does indeed call Gael who makes up a plausible story about doing medical school stuff at the hospital with a friend. Gael quickly rushes Granny off the phone. Roxi gets all teary and distressed and resident flirt/hopeless romantic/shrink, aka Benito, provides her a ride to the mall and a shoulder to cry on, telling her he knows she is good at heart, but she tries to hide it.
Back with Gianna, Vitto and Pedro argue over Gianna's medical care and living arrangements after discharge. Vitto, of course, flatly rejects Elizalde's medical treatment and the girls returning to Rancho Angeles which Pedro and Fiorella want. Thankfully for Gianna, Dr. Elizalde sets up a meeting between himself and Dr. Izquierda and a meeting with Gianna and Fiorella which Gael, Pedro and Vittorio also attend. The Drs. are very professional and collaborative in their presentation; they exit Gianna's hospital room to await the decision. Fiorella tells Gianna the choice is hers. Gianna doesn't know what to do and defers to Fiorella. Vitto, of course, thinks she should continue under Izquierdo's care while Pedro and Gael vigorously protest: his "treatment" nearly killed her and she needs Dr. Elizalde's treatment and the healthy and tranquil life she had at El Rancho. [Hmmm, I guess that means there will be no more physical, verbal and psychological abuse from Roxi, Sonia, Freddie and Aitana?] Pedro announces to the gathering that he has equipped Gianna's former room at El Rancho with all the medical equipment she will need to be properly taken care of. Gianna and Fiorella are visibly impressed and touched. Fiorella thinks it's the best thing anyone has ever done for them in all their lives!
Fiorella and Vitto excuse themselves to talk privately. Fiorella stands up to Vittorio who tries to guilt/strong-arm her with a reminder that without HIM, Gianna would be dead and she would be begging for charity on the streets of Maratea! Fiorella doesn't blink, acknowledges and thanks him but lets him know when it comes to choosing between her sister's well being and what HE thinks is proper, he will lose every time. Fiorella even manages to lay a newsflash on Vittorio: He is her prometido, NOT her master, and SHE is NOT his slave! Vitto thinks it's crazy, Pedro has played dirty and says he can build Gianna her own private room with twice as much equipment! Fiorella thinks that's childish and she appreciates and agrees with Pedro's offer. If she works at El Rancho, she can still take care of Gianna as well. It's decided. Dr. Elizalde will resume Gianna's medical care and they will both return to El Rancho!
Vitto and Fiorella return to Gianna's room. Pedro slips in that he has to talk to Granny but otherwise, everything is all set. Everybody looks thrilled. . . .except Vitto! Finally, for some reason Freddie is in the employee's quarters in the kitchen rubbing her temples like she's having some kind of migraine or something. She hears Fiorella and Simona approach and jumps under the table where she hears Fiorella telling Simona that they're moving back to El Rancho and how Pedro has set up their room with all kinds of medical equipment! Fiorella shares that every day she feels more and more like cancelling her wedding! "Ohhh, throw over Don Vittorio to get Pedro, hunh?" goes Simoneta. Freddie gets an earful and marching orders for her next plot!

Hey, Peeps! Sorry this was kind of abbreviated: I feel a crud coming on. As usual, please feel free to add anything I left out. I combined scenes and didn't go for heavy detail! Have at it!

Thanks Lila, your recap was perfect. Oh no, Roxana is gonna cause a disaster with her confession to helloisa about gigi and gaels relationship. Now this witch is gonna want to separate this cuties, I hope they defend their love and not just let it go like fiorella and pietro have done.
Big applause to Fiorella for confronting vitto in that glorious way. You are waking girl, now cancel that wedding once and for all. You dont need that crazy man in your life honey.
The most shocking thing I am seeing here is the lack of concern about Gianna on Vittorio's part and that Aitana doesn't care that her I-don't-care attitude is something Pedro won't like. She isn't as smart as she thinks she is.
More later.
I hope they defend their love and not just let it go like fiorella and pietro have done.
Vitto was totally about what HE wants and his ignoring Fiorella's several requests to contact Gianna because of strong intuitions that all was not well and his continuing to insist that Gianna stay under Dr. Izquierda's care despite the obvious harm it did her and Dr. Elizalde's having stabilized her all because Fiorella is HIS prometida was outrageous! Just as Vitto says he had an awakening during the trip, Fiorella should have had one, too and cancelled the wedding and everything with Vitto!
Grazie, Urban! Yah, when it came back from the breaking news bulletin I didn't quite catch what Aitana and her Dad was talking about. So he's going to pull some kind of stock swindle. Thanks for that detail! Anytime y'all want to fill in the business stuff, feel free; it's not my forte!
I did a little tweaking in the early hospital scene and the scenes where Gianna's continuing care is discussed and the decision is made.
I really wish that Fiorella knew that Diana wants Vittorio. Then she could say, "Can we figure out how to solve this because I don't want to marry him?" But within the context of this series that would make too much sense.
I deleted my comment because of the poor spelling in my last sentence, which was about my WTF moment. When Julieta heard that her long-lost daughter was getting married in Rome my first thought was that there had been a baby switch (standard cliche). If that is not the case, then the writers have played us and that is dirty pool.
Prediction: Since this is a fairy tale, somehow Pedro will avoid marrying Aitana or avoid consummating the marriage. Fiorella will go to the altar with Vittorio and Pedro will ride in on a horse (like Alejandro in Ramona) and steal her away just in time.
Yah! It IS a total WTF moment! Either we've been played or Santino is up to no good and is trying to entrap Julieta, but why? She's not wealthy, is she? As a matter of fact, she's a big question mark! Why has she been freeloading with the Angeles all this time? What could be Santino's motive for lying about this? We know even less about him!
Re your prediction, that is very much like a fairy tale and Pedro has scooped Fiorella up at least a couple of times, hasn't he?
I just hope it won't even get that far, Urban. I don't know what Vitto has to do to show Fiorella that he is an over-bearing, despotic, chauvinistic ego-maniac that wants the prize of her cherry and her enslavement to boot!
I will avoid a prediction but Vitto's ominous statement to Reynaldo about having to go far away and doing "whatever is necessary" to make Fiorella his practically begs for one. We can all use our imagination! It may take Vitto doing something REALLY drastic to wake Fiorella up from honoring this so-called promise to a dishonest man. Of course, in this unspoken scenario, Pedro would be the rescuing knight in shining armor!
""screw Pedro" tune up from her Dad"
Totally believable an inept adolescent CEO would not have a clue what was going on and not because of plausible deniability.
I don't give a flying turd what goes on between the two tweens but Gael and Gianna, MOR!
He talks about having another restaurant in another place and moving his office to it. Is that restaurant in Mexico or Italy? Given how much stuff he imports from there Italy actually makes a certain amount of sense. He could try to shaghai Fiorella back to Italy and we end up with a chase across the Atlantic. And scenes of Italy that we all want.
As to Julieta, I still haven't let her off the hook for how she treated Fiorella for so long. I think she comes from money and still has some although not as much as the Angeles. Her mother was Helloisa's best friend, which is why she is welcome there. Anibal probably stole from her during their marriage and while the writers seem to have dropped the ball on that point this needs resolution along with the fire insurance claim. If Julieta goes to Rome to meet the missing daughter and they look nothing alike she might ask about a DNA test
Finally, the Spanish captions are now in synch with the dialog. I don't know if this means they've stopping cutting, or if they're just doing it better. (They're also back in synch over on Pasion y Poder.) I thought that the captions were saying that Jose Ron was speaking one of the indigenous languages, Nahuatl. I think I read somewhere that he was part Aztec. Anybody know anything about that?
Now, I'm not so sure Vitto is all there in the head department. He was downright scary last night.I hope Rey was shocked enough by his tirade to spill to Adela and Benny. Would he really hurt Gia because she is "in the way". I'm also getting more and more curious what that "favor" was that Vitto and Bianchi spoke of. With the convoluted happenings of what Julietta believed happened to her daughter and what we suspect is the truth, their is something fishy going on.
Watching this TN and then immediately catching up with Poder, man I'm in Juan Pablo Minor overload. But definitely no complaints. Ok, so Gael didn't fess up to Grammy, and I understand Gia's eye roll, but at this point, I think it was best. Those two women need to get out from under Vitto, and if the only option it seems is the ranch, then he and Petey need to get them there. And yeah for Fi showing spine! That's the women we saw at the start of this.
Now, am I still worried for that poor girl. You have Rox, Grammy, the walking wig and Freddie all out to get back at those two, and Gia is the easier mark to make Fi eventually go away. Anyone else hoping they hired a 24-hour nurse for her?
I just don't care about the Sonia/Os plot. And you cannot tell me that papers so easily right there in Petey's office that spell out the swindle are not known to him. That is a beanie imploding moment if the writers are trying that tidbit on us. Most ineffectual CEO ever!
Daisynjay
"long-time functionary" and "distressed and resident flirt/hopeless romantic/shrink, aka Benito" were among many favorites. You totally nailed Benito. He still remains one of my favorites here.
Interesting that Fabio has work ethics but no moral ethics.
"Ohhh, throw over Don Vittorio to get Pedro, hunh?" goes Simoneta". Loved it.
One of the most interesting, observant and entertaining characters. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if her storyline could be expanded to include a romance? Let’s see. She’s astute, clever and great fun. Yeah, I can see why these reasons wouldn’t justify it.
I am really starting to detest Vitto (he was scary last night daisy!). And while Fi is finally starting to stand her ground, she really needs to shed him like the manipulative, conniving, macho man he is. Interesting comment about what Fi would do if she knew Di was interested in Vitto. Well, Vitto knows Di is interested yet he prefers Fiorella. At least for the moment.
Thanks again Lila! Appreciate your doing this despite not feeling well.
Diana
I have no idea what to expect if Julieta does actually go Italy. I kinda like that they've thrown us a curve on this. Uuuunless they screwed up instead!
Had to make a quick run to the market and now it's time to tie on the feed bag. Be back soon!
Despite his being 70-something (the actor is actually 75) and not being a virgin himself, Vittorio doesn't know how to have a relationship with a woman. No woman within 20 years of his age would be willing to put up with this. Diana -- whom I'm guessing is supposed to be 30-something -- sees him as a good catch because of his money, his business sense, and his surface polish. She knows what she wants and has some idea of what she's getting into. Vittorio may not realize this but he backs off from Diana because he can't control her. She's a perfect employee because of her conscientiousness, but would definitely give major pushback on their own time if she didn't want to fall in with his personal agenda. When Fiorella shows any evidence of being this way he usually steamrolls her. She is easier to guilt-trip.
Lila, the photo is in this weekend's discussion on Crimes of Fashion.
Weird because the writers are force feeding us her serious intent to marry this old dick when they could have made him a mean ole daddy instead of a potential bed-mate.
Yah, Tofie, that's what has had me stewing!
Now, I'm not so sure Vitto is all there in the head department. He was downright scary last night.
Yeah, Vitto is headed to the dark side for sure. He's menacing enough for me right now but Fifi doesn't see it!<
Anyone else hoping they hired a 24-hour nurse for her?
Uh, BIG TIME! Gael knows some as does Fifi how much abuse Gigi has taken at those "ladies" hands but she doesn't always tell. I coulda screamed when Pedro said Gianna must return to the "peace and tranquility" of Rancho de los Angeles! I hope everyone else in the house will be more attentive and protective!
Fabio surprised me! I hope he sticks to his guns. I can't see how he wouldn't have control over what arrives physically or electronically to his wife AND I'm sure this is not the first time he's been busted!
Re Simoneta:
One of the most interesting, observant and entertaining characters. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if her storyline could be expanded to include a romance? Let’s see. She’s astute, clever and great fun. Yeah, I can see why these reasons wouldn’t justify it.
Eloquent, hilarious and true!
Mille grazie, carita!
I'll watch my recording today while doing stuff to get ready for Thanksgiving. Hubby and I were out last night to a Pink Martini concert. They are wonderful, go if you ever have a chance. China Forbes sang and, wow! what a voice. But I digress . . .
The bubble is gone and back to business as usual. Argh.
So the two doctors have met and our good doc didn't seem to freak out over Dr. Left being a snake charmer. Oh well.
Why didn't Fi have her own cell phone at the resort??? Beanie hat moment?
So Julieta's "daughter" is getting married in Rome? Maybe it is a red herring.
"Vittorio may not realize this but he backs off from Diana because he can't control her."
So true, Urban!
Since this story is utilizing so many telenovela tropes, we will be due a kidnapping at some point. Maybe crazy old Vito will kidnap Fi. Please don't let Gi have a pregnancy scare, either.
Re the phone, I don't think Vitto lets her have free use of a phone anymore. That's why she was always going to him to make a call AND one of the reasons to kick the old dude to the curb! And, yah, I truly suspect Vitto will do just what you say and I don't know why they would imply Gigi and Gael had sex without a pregnancy, or a scare.
You know what? Gigi will probably be pregnant with the much-desired Angeles heir as Gael will man up, accept his responsibility and insist on marrying her and given the baby his rightful name.
Recently back for a destination wedding (our youngest daughter) in Mexico so have missed a couple of weeks of this, but see that things haven't changed much. Pedro and Fiorella are still dancing around one another and Aitana and Vittorio are gnashing their teeth and scheming.
Don't throw tomatoes, but I actually felt a little sorry for Vittorio last night. He can huff and puff all he wants, he doesn't stand a ghost of a chance with Fiorella. And he can clearly feel it, in spite of his increasingly desperate bluster. Sucks to be old. Don't ask me how I know!
I'm with Daisynjay, the silliness of these telenovelas (and also sports) is a relief for me from the tragedy of what people are doing to one another in the real world. One of our recappers, Adriana Noel, lives in Paris and I pray that she and her husband and newborn daughter are alright.
Life is full of unavoidable pain...but how sad that we also go to such great lengths to inflict more suffering on each other.
Thanks again, for your always entertaining juicy recaps. Extraordinary humor, amazing language. You rock, lady! And you lift our spirits when we need it.
"Keebler Elves on Crack House" is a perfect description! Would any of us eat tiramisu in its dining hall?
Federica is losing touch with reality. She is now assigning blame to Pedro over the alleged theft of her future inheritance. In the flashback Dante is so much younger that Pedro had to have been a young teen at most when this happened. He wouldn't have known anything, and didn't Aitana put that file on the sideboard for Federica to find or am I making too much sense here?
Ah, JudyB, I am so often at a lost for words due to our inhumanity to one another. Prayers for all those in Paris and all over the world who are victimized by such barbarity!
Mille grazie, amica mia, for your kind words and we'll cut you some slack on Vitto. You haven't been exposed to his incessant and smarmy rumbling over the last two weeks. I think he's about to go real dark, so you'll be back with us stoning him!
;D
What do you think was going on with Freddie holding her head like that? Maybe they are implying she's coming unglued?
Vitto is a collector of things and now apparently people. He was nervous about the girls touching his things in the beginning. He does wish Gianna dead, what a gremlin. The comments are so funny, the hair thing, to name but a few. I believe Petro has no intention of marrying the Hair thing but I don't get the plan. Need to watch to understand. Fi has been encouraged by her little weekend trip. There is nothing like love to embolden you. She is now confident Pedro loves her and only her. Julieta got strange vibes from Fi, she wasn't exactly nice but she wasn't overly nasty either. She was just acting rich. JudyB, congratulations on sending off your last baby in style.
Have a safe weekend Everyone!!
Hanna
Tofie..Now , I will forever have that image of Pedro on his bike hoping for a glimpse of Fi.
Judyb...Congratulations to your daughter. I completely agree with you about the crazy telenovelas and The Caray community being a respite from the real world which seems to be getting more and more dangerous . I, too, an thinking of Adriana Noel and her family and sending up prayers for their safety. I have so many friends and students who are from an area of our world that is bring torn apart. ..so sad.
Hey, Susanlynn! Thanks for stopping by. I watched the first one and a half episodes of PyP and it looks exciting but I was turned off by father and son skewering the same woman. Yuck!
Caray IS a respite and a real community and our prayers and positive vibes matter! Let's all send them in the way that fits our being and values: many souls are in need!
Pedro, Sergio, and Gael seem to be the only members of the Angeles family to care about other people. They will ultimately have all the servants on their side with Dante straddling the fence.
I think Federica has been unglued for a long time already.
Get well soon amiga. Take extra vitamins and get plenty of fluids and rest. I'm sending healing vibes.
Stuff. I don't know what a crud is but I hope you feel better sweety.
Vitto is willing to do "whatever is necessary"
To make fiorella his woman. What is he gonna do rape her? Fi'd grab those false teeth out of his mouth and beat the crap outta him With em.
Poor "white fluffy bear", he did not deserve to
Be treated that way. I think rox was genuinely
Upset about gianna. I think she'll be happy to
Have gi back on the farm....eh rancho. And
Then poor fluffy white bear can heal. ( I say
Run away poor fluffy white bear, as fast as U can). That leaves the other poor stuffed population to suffer. I'm spending way too much time on the stuffed animals. They're
Cuter than the people :-D feel Better amiga.
Now, onto some mind candy:
The papers Freddie found were still in the locked filing cabinet. I don't think Aitana planted them, but it's possible. If she did, then someone in her family must know about the swindle because Fred says it relates specifically to that, not to some newer under-the-table stuff. My theory: Those papers have been i that office since Maximo was the Prez and he or Eloisa turned over the key to Pedro, but asked him not to look inside and because he's the good boy that he is and loved his gramps, he has not gone pouring over the bright white, crisp, not-in-any-way-colored-or-wrinkled-with-age pages.
Crud, if Aitana's dad backhandedly buys up a majority of the Acorp shares, Pedro will have to marry Aitana to keep the company, won't he?
"Vittorio is preying upon Fiorella's youth and vulnerability. YUP! He thinks he bought a email-order bride and she thought she fell in love with a guy a la "Shop Around the Corner/You've Got Mail" style. They're coming at the situation with two very different ideas of what marriage is and both with the stubborn belief that they will become what the other person needs and vice versa. Oy! As for he and Diana, he treats Diana like an equal, in so much as he recognizes she's an adult, though his employee. He treats Fi as an employee/child because as far as he's concerned, she is. He pays for her room and board like he would a child or in exchange for her "services" the way he would an employee. In return, he expects her obedience and her recognition of him as her beloved fiancé. He could cut his losses but that would mean the man in him has to admit he's been rejected and the businessman in him would have to admit to a total loss in an investment. Not to mention the very human reaction to thinking oneself not only old, but too old.
I didn't take Santino's line about a wedding literally because he followed up by saying they could search for their daughter in Rome together. I thought he just meant didn't she want to see her daughter get married and have babies and all the other things lot of people want to see adult children do.
I think that the stock majority thing is what Aitana's father is planning. They can afford this, so I'm wondering how many other people they've fleeced. Aitana's fawning over Pedro is completely bogus.
Fi'd grab those false teeth out of his mouth and beat the crap outta him With em.
Ha! That's a hoot! Ah, and I really felt sorry for that little bear and don't feel badly, girl, I still own every stuffed animal my children (now 28 and 30) ever owned and I've got my own little collection. Uh oh. TMI. Off topic but if anyone knows a way to safely clean the little darlings, let me know!
Ajem!
Hey, Hellashelle Sorry I'm just getting to you, Sara and Nina's comments, felt crappy last night, but I'm here!
Grazie tanto, sorellina mia! Thank you so much for your viewpoint on the swindle papers! Makes total sense and for this on Aitana's Dad's next dirty move:
. . .if Aitana's dad backhandedly buys up a majority of the Acorp shares, Pedro will have to marry Aitana to keep the company, won't he?
YES! This must be what they were talking about! Oh boy, and there is certainly enough time for them to develop this plot! Hoo boy!
Gosh, Hella, your analysis is just wonderfully comprehensive and insightful. Love your take on Vitto's "relationship" with Diana and Fiorella! and re the wedding, I was totally confused because on one hand he sounded as if he knew their daughter was going to be married and then he talked about looking for her! So, you're saying Santino is inviting her to come to Rome to look for their daughter, not that he knows where she is and she's getting married?
o_0 Can't wait to see how this shakes out.
Actually, if Fiorella had come completely clean on the Vittorio issue before Aitan resurfaced Pedro would have paid him every peso to free her and they could have eloped.
You're right, we would not have a story but it would've made a great movie! Just elope y ya!
Think you're absolutely right about the de la Riva Palmas. They probably pimped Aitana all over Europe, or tried. Wasthat a stroke of luck her "running into" Eloisa at the spiritual retreat or had they been stalking Granny?
What annoyed me before was Aitana's stupid, childish, passive/aggressive game of breaking up with Pedro and trying to get him to come after her like in the movies. Between that and her parents she's got more issues than National Geographic.
Lol, yup, but that makes way too much sense! I guess that's why things have played out in the order they have. If Fi had met Vittorio right away, she probably might have been so shocked that she would have laid into him for lying about his age and he might've been embarrassed enough to recognize that she had a point. As it is, a big part of her continuing with this farce is guilt over the fact that even if Vitto lied about how he looked, she fell for another guy while she was supposed to be engaged to him. And she's been lying about it ever since. And Vitto has expressed his suspicions which have now grown to encompass all of the males in the world. Fact of the matter is, he lied to her once (twice if you count withholding his affair with Diana), but she also lies basically every time he asks her a question. Plus, she's the type to feel really shallow for not being able to get past somone's physical features to give them a chance. (Thankfully, Vitto has a range of other horrors that make him unsuitable like, um, his overbearing, chauvinistic worldview).
"She is convinced, therefore, that Pedro is not only fully aware of the swindle, but an accomplice!" I'm convinced Fed has some problems with reading comprehension. I swear, any piece of paper in that office and she starts running around screaming "It's a clue! It's a clue!"
"Fabio looks like he wants to laugh right in their faces" I wanted to laugh at them too. "We have it all planned out!" No, dudes, no you don't. I've seen you in action. This is a plan consisting of stick figures drawn in crayon.
"He claims their daughter is getting married in Rome and he offers to fly her there for the wedding! She agrees! Say whaaaaaat?" I so totally did say "What?!"
"He has to do whatever is necessary for her to be his mujer" I share your sentiments on that. And also, how stupid is Vitto that his definition of "whatever" doesn't include actually supporting her or giving her what she wants? Huge red flags when he practically said "You owe me" later on.
"The Drs. are very professional and collaborative in their presentation." Color me surprised on that.
My DVR pixelated for some of this eppy so I only saw Gianna's first doctor speak. How did the new doctor defend his treatment and did the first doctor say the Dr. Left's treatment was a reasonable choice? I'm curious because I kind of wanted Dr. Left to get busted, but it sounds like he's just pursuiing a course that's not great for Gianna as opposed to not great period.
I no longer think it matters what Fiorella tells him because he doesn't listen. He only knows what he wants and he's determined to have it no matter what. That certainly speaks of macho entitlement at its peak.
What is concerning me is the blip in the beginning that Fiorella would find something out. If this whole latest thing with Orsini is a red herring and Fiorella is the daughter of Santino and Julieta, does Vittorio know that she is adopted? If he does I would bet a box of Godiva that he was supposed to tell her but instead is holding the information to use against her. He might wait for the right moment to tell her that Mario and his wife got her to take care of their subsequent children and that he had no qualms about selling her to him once he was dead.
Either way I don't think he knows who her birth parents are. If Santino is still wealthy and feeling bad about giving up a precious baby girl for the sake of parents who are now either dead or ancient, he would be thrilled to pieces to claim her as his daughter and tell Vittorio to go you-know-where. Which would satisfy Helloisa's requirements for any bride of Pedro's. Such a revelation may coincide with an Angeles bankruptcy or discovery about Aitana. = Televisa Fairy Tale.
But we're inly at the halfway mark now.
If she actually came out and send "sorry, this just isn't going to work" all he could do is get vengeful on her. He could bring up passport/visa issues. Which might shake Pedro out of his funk and make him marry her immediately to protect her. But if Vittorio goes your route and gets makes a cruel lie out of her childhood 1) Fi would be dumb to believe that story since she was raised with a lot of love and 2) Damn. That would be cold.
I do agree that if Santino's all happy about finding Fi now, then a heap of her troubles are over once that truth is revealed. Of course, Santino could screw it up by rejecting Gi, but that's at least reasonable drama rather than stupid drama like what we've been getting.
Diva @ 12:33! This whole adoption/thought she was dead/she's ALIVE/going to the chapel thing just makes me think they're making this sh*t up as they go along about Julieta and Santino's daughter. They probably have forgotten they've been heavily implying the daughter is Fiorella!

:D
I luvs having such smart peoples on the Patio. Damned good arguments! I can't wait to see how they spin this, man! Half way? They've got time for all kinds of shenanigans!
Unless the daughter is Gianna and so the heart problems were an issue. But Santino said she's missed "over 20 years) of her daughter's life and Gi's only 18. Sigh. No, the continuity on this TN's a little jacked up.
What? It would explain some things....
Friday this hairdresser lady was tellin me how she cleans her pretty white stuffed furry antimated Kitty cat. She said she uses some
Woollite. A wet cloth with a little woolite on it.
I saw the kitty, he's really pretty and clean. It
Moves and purrs. Try that and see if it might work.
Didn't granny Elo say that roxy isn't her gran
Daughter or her relative? Or something like
That? Maybe roxy is her (juliets) daughter? I first thought It Was jaoqiuna that was her mommy. This family Is so mixed up and screwed up, who Knows whose related to who.
Thanks, Vivi, for the news on Adriana Noel!
Thanks, Nina, yep, I'm back at work today. Yah, we're thinking it's Fifi that is Julieta's daughter and Roxi is Quina's daughter. The signs for the Julieta/Fifi link are good but not as firm as that for Quina/Roxi. Quina has all but said, "that's my baby!" I know a person can dearly love a foster or adopted child and I'm not implying the contrary, it's just that Quina takes Roxi's bitchiness, trials and rare triumphs WAAAY too personally for it not to be a matter of flesh and blood!
Ok, what if Santino's parents are another set of Helloisian tyrants and they pulled the classic "your baby died" trope after Santino and Julieta planned to give the baby up for adoption?
Also a reminder that we never saw Sonia's stillborn baby girl. Did she ever see her? In LSdP when Roberta was told she had a stillborn girl she never saw the baby and neither did her sister. We all knew right away what that meant.
Helloisian tyrants That's just Delicious!
Lord, would ONE of the two couples just cut the freaking cord?!
