Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #70 Tuesday 12/1/15 (Mex 99)
Recap by sneaky two shoes:
The Cards Know All *insert spooky music, and Tarot appropriate hand waving here*
(I got a good episode this time(at least I think so) its got suspense and intrigue and not too much of the annoying people or situations)
Ok, where were we, oh yeah; Alina is a huge hypocrite. Roxi throws a fit and Quina gives in as per usual
Fi pulls away from Luca and runs in to an incredulous Vitto who makes a not so graceful exit so Fi and Luca can fight
Her: Its waayy over
Him But I love you again
Fi Slaps him and goes to apologize to Vitto for something she didn’t even do
Vitto won’t listen (when does he ever) and lays heavy guilt on her, fumbling w/his pills.
Diana tells her go, I’ll take care of him, so she goes
Rox lays into Beni for not answering her calls. He doesn’t want to argue about it in front of his folks and her mom so they head off to his bedroom. Quina tries to follow, but Rey blocks her (I kinda like his raspy voice, but then I’ve had a whole other tn before this to get used to it) It takes both parents running interference to stop Quina from going in that bedroom to stop whatever might be happening in there, they remind her that Rox is grown up and can do what she wants, only Adela hopes they don’t make her an abuela too soon she’s too young. Light sparring between Adela and Quina till Rey takes Quina off to make her some calming tea. Now Adela is hurt because Rey never makes tea for her
Somehow Fi has found out about the plot between Gia and Luca to stop her ruining her life and now she yells at Gi for it.
In his bedroom, Beni and Roxi fight cute, or it would be cute if Rox was less shrill. She thinks he gave her up too easily, and worries that Aitana is right and he’s all about the benjamins. Beni tries to stop fightin’ and start lovin’ but has to break off kissing her to look for “them” in the nightstand. This frees up Roxi’s mouth to yell at him he better start fighting for her but now and flounce out, just as Beni has found “them” (Yay! Beni practices safe sex, when he gets a chance to practice any sex)
Luca tries to explain to tio how wrong his forcing Fi to the altar is but this goes about as well as all other attempts to talk to/explain anything to Vitto, nothing gets thru and Vitto tells his sobrino he’s sick. (yep, sick in the head)
Pietro & Fi stare into each other’s eyes and talk
She sorta tells about Luca being in town, and he tells her about Beni’s blackmail attempt, then they talk about the time, remember when, Fi blackmailed him. Pietro says ‘hey I get Beni, love makes you do the wacky’ or something like that
Oooohh kisses! Pietro’s sick of doing what he’s s’posta, he pleads, she refuses. Luca’s phone call interrupts, he knows about Vitto’s illness and wants to talk, Fi shuts him down. More pleading more refusing.
Fi and Vitto make up (is it an RPC if that’s all that happened really?)
Fi goes home and Gia is still pushing the Luca plan but instead of fighting about it the girls get playful.
Luca and Diana chat, she pushes him to pursue Fi, and gets him drunk. Even drunk Luca sees through her plans for him to her self interest.
Family meeting in the parlor? Living room? It has couches.
Sergio thinks Elo is nuts, firing the only person who can stand to be around Roxi and that they should go beg him to come back on bended knee.
Pietro thinks they’re both consenting adults and can do whatever they want.
Elo thinks it is deeply and completely wrong for boss to schtupp servant, and Aitana backs her up and brings up the Beni living off Roxi scenario.
Juli says its not just servants, my ex took advantage of me for years. Sergio reassures her he won’t be sponging off her, as long as his mom and son keep supporting him in the manner to which he has become accustomed. Everyone laughs, semi-appalled.
Fed pipes up and says the cards say the fam owes somebody something and if its not paid destruction awaits around every corner – phoo phoos from the fam all around. She does a reading for Juli –‘here is the sun and star surrounding you, watch out, hey isn’t the Italian Stallion a sun? Don’t get burned. ‘ Sergio jumps in here and says ‘he ain’t no sun, he’s a black hole that is sucking away all my happiness’ well, Juli has had enough of Sergio’s insecurity for one day and heads out, and Fed gets blamed for causing trouble.
Aitana wants her cards read but gets a mild insult instead.
Sonia wants her cards read, picks one and Fed says ‘ooh very revealing, you and Os have something very powerful drawing you together’, and they do look very cosy. Its love, Pollyaitana chirps, noo Fed says ‘its something darker and more perverse, like ambition or avarice.’ Osvonia don’t look too unhappy at being revealed, though they do make token protests. Fed continues ‘it makes you a strong couple, almost indestructible, but you’re still sick.
Elo has had enough and asks Pietro to come to the study w/her. Fed teases Aitana about being left all alone (I’m liking Fed more and more, don’t know why) and Aitana does look uneasy about it. Fed pulls a card, telling her it says her relationship will be very stormy, Aitana says no, we just fight for love, not everybody does.
Sergio asks Fed to check the cards to see, since Juli isn’t there, if there are any interesting women in his future. Gael is all ‘hey I thought you were serious about Juli’ Sergio goes ‘I totally am, I just want to know if I’m missing out on anything.’ Gael says no, do me and picks a card, Fed says ‘that’s weird, the cards don’t tell me anything about you – oh of course, since you’re a drug addict all your energy pathways are blocked, its like you don’t exist’ then the girls laugh at him and Fed is all ‘its just a joke Gael’ Before he can get too upset Fed pulls a card and wigs out, the devil? The hanged man? It keeps coming up and she’s all bent out of shape about it, but doesn’t want to explain to the others why.
Elo tells the boys that Os gets to be in charge of the merger. Pietro and the rest of the sane world think this is a terrible idea. Os says thanks and I’ll be competent just wait and see, I’ll surprise you all.
Pietro: I hope I’m wrong but he’s gonna screw it up
Os: I got this cuz, you should stop being such a control freak
Pietro: whatever, just stay on your side of the business and I’ll stay on mine
Juli is wandering the house and Fi asks what’s wrong and can she help, but remembers Juli being unfriendly before and backtracks, but Juli wants to talk. They discuss the Italian Stallion, and reencountering first loves and complicated love lives – hey we’re both goin thru the same thing – Girl talk and they hug and then Fi offers to make tea. Juli compliments Fi, ‘you’re a sun’ (ISBIS) Fi –‘no I’m just a little bitty star’ then Juli remembers Fed’s words about the sun and star cards in Juli’s life, ‘no it couldn’t be’
Vitto is out at Rancho Los Angeles getting some fresh air, but in the shade, so he doesn’t burst into flames. Fi arrives and Vitto wants them to take a romantic stroll. The Italian Stallion walks over and greets Fi warmly and she responds and Vitto bristles, no other old dude is gonna take his sweet young thing. He makes sure to let the guy know she’s his comprometida as he questions him, ‘where did you spring from, and how do you know her?’ Fi and Santino explain, ‘we just met here, he knows Juli, and since we’re both Italian we are now fast friends’ Vitto is like, ‘right, so when are you leaving?’ to the Italian Stallion, but Fi invites him to her wedding as her special guest so Vitto makes the best of things and invites him to leave some of his money at La Dolce Vitta and get some home food and wine. Santino accepts both invites gracefully but as the other two walk away he looks like he feels sorry for Fi.
On the patio Fed keeps stirring up trouble, reminding Juli of her card reading of the night before - sun and star surrounding you, you look nervous. Sergio gets insecure again ‘ I’m the only sun in her life’ Juli claims not to believe, and that she doesn’t even remember the stuff Fed said.
Pietro & Aitana, and Osvonia are all going riding, how nice *sarcasm*
Santino comes up and Sergio’s complexes cause him to pretend he and Juli had planned to ride too, though Juli looks unenthusiastic, and reminds Sergio he was going to try not to be jealous. Santino interrupts Sergio’s what jealous who me mumblings to tell them he doesn’t want to intrude and he can come back some other time. They go off and Santino tries to leave but Fed won’t let him escape and invites him to stay and wait for Juli there
Gael tries his crazy lets pretend to be novios plan on Roxi and she laughs in his face and then gets pissed he wants to use her to cover for him and Gia while trying to sell it to her as doing her a favor so she can see Beni, but after she kicks him out she looks thoughtful.
Guy stalks Di and her mom, Di gets a work call on her day off and has to go in, Guy wonders if she’s meeting a bf (wait is the wedding tomorrow?)
Simona and Gia walk and talk, apparently Simona has a guy she wants to meet up w/ but she doesn’t want to leave Gi alone, and like an answer to a prayer, here’s Gael! Now she can go and leave Gia in good hands, Simona dances off
Gia and Gael *happy sigh* hugs and kisses, music swells.
Aitana and Pietro share a horse (I’ll give you one guess who’s idea that was, it sure as hell wasn’t the horse’s)
Os tries to look for Gael, but he and Gia are hidden behind an embankment.
Beni’s folks try to talk him out of goint to Rancho LA and mebby getting kilt just to prove to that spoiled brat he luuurrves her. Beni goes anyway and Adela moons over how romantic and how her son isn’t a little boy anymore. Rey reminds her he hasn’t been a boy since he was 15 (wait, what? What is he talking about? Do Beni’s parents know when he first.. naw, but then what? Ung whatevs) Adela chides Rey for not being more romantic about her
Fi and Vitto look over the seating chart (seriously, is the wedding tomorrow, or what?) Fi doesn’t like where Vitto has put Santino and wants him closer to their table.
Gi blessedly puts an end to the wedding nonsense by calling and telling Fi to come home urgently, and mysteriously, after she hangs up we find out its so Luca can try to convince Fi not to marry Vitto for like the umpteenth time
Fi sees Pietro and Aitana getting romantic( RPC to the nth degree)

sneaky two shoes, thank you for the awesome recap! And for doing so many special-guest-star recaps you're practically a regular :D
It's entirely possible I may have neighed when I read this: "Aitana and Pietro share a horse (I’ll give you one guess who’s idea that was, it sure as hell wasn’t the horse’s)" And then I pouted because when Fi and Pietro were on a horse together it was a fantasy, but Aitana gets the real deal? And the horse didn't throw them both off in some way that Pedro landed on solid ground, but Aitana went off a cliff? Phooey!

Adela and Rey are just...cute. And they have a good relationship. Sure, she's all pouty that he never makes her tea, but it's not going to go to an annoying extreme and they'll make up.
Also very cute today: Ben and Rox. She's losing that shrilly edge when she complains and it highlights her vulnerability instead of her brattiness.

It was early, early days. Episode 11. Pedro was dreaming about it. And that's right, they did ride off together to get from the stables to the front gate to sneak out for their first date in Episode 21. Thanks for reminding me about that one! I feel a little less bitter now. I talked to the horse, though, and he's still pissed.

Sneaky2Shoes – Thank you for the funny snarky recrap! I was making a cheesecake and only lent one ear and one eye to watching my recording because, well, I did not want to botch the cheesecake. So I learned that I caught most of this episode but your recap filled in some holes.
I love Adela’s pink & green outfit. It is just. so. “Preppie”. Anyone remember The Preppy Handbook”? LOL
I wanted to throw something at my TV screen when Vitto pulled that “I’m sick” rubbish with Luc. !Ya basta!
”Sergio thinks Elo is nuts, firing the only person who can stand to be around Roxi and that they should go beg him to come back on bended knee.” This is the only moment where Sergio has shown a hint of intelligence.
”Vitto is out at Rancho Los Angeles getting some fresh air, but in the shade, so he doesn’t burst into flames.” BwaHahahahahahahaaaaa!

It has to be Fiorella. Last week Diana found the letter from Mario to Fiorella about her being adopted. Based on the effort to open it carefully, it's unlikely that Vittorio ever read it.
