Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse #89 Wed 12/30/15 (Mex 123) Don't Cry for Me, Fiorella…no, really, please don't

The dog and the dog guy go running off.  So at least someone made it out of this unscathed.  There's no sign of the horse as  Fiorella is begging Pedro to please wake up.  Sonia runs up and then calls the house begging them to call an ambulance.

For some reason, after the initial panic has passed, Os and Fed are back to the usual languid sniping, which Sergio finds highly offensive.  Dante announces the arrival of the ambulance and Sergio goes running, shouting for Os to come with him.  Juli runs upstairs to inform Eloisa and Fed just sits on the couch probably pondering Os' potential involvement.  As she said--he's the one who stands to benefit if something happens to Pedro.

Simona, because she's a nice person and not a soulless husk like the family members, goes to the employee kitchen in tears and can barely get the words out to tell Fidel that Pedro fell off his horse and they're taking him to the hospital.  Awww, I just want to go give her a hug and fix her some tea.

Benigno reports to his family that Pedro's probably dead by now.  Mrs. Benigno acts like it's no big, just sort of tacky to have someone bumped off.  Aitana is hoping they can spread it around to the press that she and Pedro were re-planning their wedding. Benigno scoffs she could be thinking of something so trivial.  Os is next on Benigno's hit list, to Aitana's dismay.   Yeah, that really sucks when you're about to marry a guy and then you dump him, and then your dad makes you get engaged to him again, and then he dumps you, and then you start shagging his cousin, and then your dad bumps the guy off, and then he wants to bump the cousin off too.  Sucks to be you, Aitana.  Sucks to be you.

Oh, Juli wasn't telling Eloisa, she was distracting her.  With a massage.  El asks about the search for her daughter, but Juli's too anxious.  She blames the heat.  Oh, darn…would have gotten away with it, too, if not for the blaring ambulance siren!

When we're back outside, I'm amazed that Fi's shrieks weren't clearly audible in El's room, too!  I have to rewind several times to hear the paramedics say…they can't detect any vital signs?  The volume of the shrieks goes WAY up and then…zoom!  He's on the stretcher and being loaded into the back of the ambulance with his head and neck stabilized.  Sergio takes the "family" spot in the ambulance while Fidel gets put on Fiorella duty.  Sonia is…well, I couldn't swear to it, her being fictional and all…but I think she might be feeling bad for Fi.  And/or Pedro, but she keeps looking at Fi after the ambulance has driven off.  Dante arrives and gets the story, though he's now tasked with finding out QTH was going on that there was a dog on the property who apparently doesn't know how to get along with horses.  Fidel ushers Fiorella inside, and then Os turns on Sonia, wondering what she was doing out there.

Up in Eloisa's room, Julieta is telling her that one of the workers was seriously injured and needed an ambulance.  He, uh, broke a hip.  She keeps Eloisa from opening the window to see what's going on because Eloisa has just come out of the sauna!  She might get "un aire" or "un viento!"  Shyeah, totally!  El thanks Julieta for keeping her from doing something so silly!  (aire =  air; viento = wind;  but if something gives you "un aire" or "un viento" you've shocked your system by exposing yourself to cold air, going to sleep with wet hair, walking around barefoot, or had the a/c blowing directly on some part of your body, and you might end up with a stiff neck, back pain, or paralysis.  Just…trust me…if your abuela says it's true, you don't question it…although she usually said I'd just catch a cold…I still feel a little weird about going to sleep with wet hair sometimes.)

In the employee kitchen, Dante is harassing…I mean questioning Fiorella.  He doesn't believe for a minute that she was just out there picking flowers.  And he doesn't believe a dog or some other wild animal could get onto the ranch, with all the state-of-the-art security they have…unless someone let them in?  Well…they let you in, Dante.  (Sorry, sorry, sorry, my apologies to all dogs and wild animals, y'all do not deserve to be compared to Dante.)  Fi insists the dog was just…there!  She has no idea where it came from.  Fidel tells Dante to cut it out already…he needs to get his guys together and go search for that dog.  "You're seriously accusing Fiorella of smuggling a dog onto the property to attack Pedro?!"  Joaquina agrees--he needs to go find that dog before it attacks anyone else.  Once Dante is gone, Fi begs Fidel to get an update from Sergio…but his phone is going straight to voicemail.  Fi goes back in to shreik mode and Fidel begs her to calm down.  (As does Mr. 5ft…he's not sure he can handle it if she's still shrieking at the end of the episode.) He walks her to her room as Simona cries, both because she can't imagine the pain of being on the verge of losing your true love and because she doesn't want Pedro to die!  Simona's good peeps.

Sonia says she just happened to be jogging by when it happened, and he shouldn't have done it.  Os says it was just an accident.  "Right.  Another one.  Like the hunting accident."  He answers the phone and tells Benigno that everything is going "perfectly"?  Seriously, dude?  Are you incapable of doing anything right?  Benigno gets off the phone, thinking that Pedro is going to die in the hospital.  Aitana gloats and her mom just has a "whatever" look on her face.  Back in Os' room, the Ass himself is as horny as ever, but Sonia…Sonia pushes him off in favor of a shower.

Fed gloats to Dante about how totes awesome it would be if Pedro died and Eloisa went even more crazy.  She can use Pedro's accident and dying without a will as leverage…El wouldn't want the same thing to happen to her, would she?!  She asks about the cameras, but [EXTREME STUPIDITY ALERT!] Dante only turns them on when El asks him to.   That…answers SO many questions…and not in a good way.  Fed says they can use the cameras so that El finds out what happened.

Fi(del) advises Fi to play it cool, but that's SO not happening.  They did indeed say Pedro had no vital signs.  She wants to go to the hospital, but Fidel is blocking the way.  Sergio texted him and asked him to assemble the family so that we can all freak out thinking Pedro is dead.  What?  We're all thinking it.

Adela whine/screams at Roxana to get out of bed already. She's been sleeping the day away.  Why is Adela being shy about ordering her around?  She tries to beg and plead with her to go to school, but Roxi doesn't feel like it.  "That's for poor people."  Well, DING, DING, DING!  News flash, sweetheart!  "You're even poorer than I am!  So if you don't study you're going to have zero opportunities!"  Finally  Adela unleashes her full, uh, Adela-ness!

A: I'm not asking you, you're going!
R: Quit treating me like I'm some kid in high school!
A: Quit acting like one!
R: No, and I'm not going, and you can't make me.

And Adela…I'm not even kidding…I would NEVER joke about something so important…Adela picks Roxi up and throws her over one shoulder and starts walking towards the front door with her…"pijamas" and all!  She does relent and allow Rox to go put some actual clothes on, after she gets Rox to call her "Adelita linda."

The "family" are assembled in the living room.  Well, Fed, Sonia, and Os any way.  Sergio and Elizalde come in and Sergio says it's bad news.  As Fidel and Fiorella eavesdrop, Elizalde says Pedro has a hematoma and will have to be under observation.  They just have to wait and see if he recovers.  Fiorella  sobs quietly to Fidel.

At school…well, who cares what's actually *happening* at school, the important thing is Gi and Gael are wearing matching red sneakers.  And It's sofreakincute I can't stand it!  Oh…Fi might be adopted.  And it's freaking Gi out…but maybe SHE's the one who's adopted!  She's got that heart condition, after all, and neither of her parents did.  Gael begs her not to worry about it…whatever happens, he will be there for her.

Fi continues sobbing.  Everything was going so well, and now this.  "If Pedro dies, I…!"  The loud sobs are starting up again.  "Mi Pietro es forte, es forte.  Va a estar bene." she tells herself.  (My Pedro is strong and he's going to be fine.)  Fidel talks her out of going to the hospital, though Fi insists it's her job.  She's his wife!  She can't leave him alone!  She'll die if something happens and she's not there!  At least she has Big Papa Fidel's shoulder to cry on.

Eloisa is determined to go downstairs and talk to Pedro.  Poor Juli is still running interference.  She begs Eloisa to be patient and not bug Pedro for an update about his relationship with Aitana.  She should call Aitana…Aitana will update her.  Then she starts chattering about friends she saw in Italy.

Living room.  Lots of fakery.  Elizalde does NOT think informing Eloisa is a good idea.  "My mom's not stupid!  She'll realize Pedro's gone!"  Os suggests they say he's on a trip--he went on a mystery trip before, after all.  Fed says she'll go upstairs and help Juli stall some more, then calls Dante and tells him to turn on the cameras.

Juli's running out of chatter and El heads for the powder room.  Fed peeks in to say that Juli needs to keep stalling.  She suggests turning on the TV and putting on a movie.  Then she sends Juli to check on El in the bathroom.  Make sure she didn't fall in, you know.  She changes the channel to the surveillance cameras and then hightails it out of there.  Juli and El finally notice the TV and Juli begs El not to go downstairs.  Os says something about saving Pedro and El's all "What happened to Pedro?!"

Joaquina's still worried about Roxana.  Fidel gets ALL the weepy women today.  And he's pretty sniffly himself.  He suggests Joaquina go try to track down Roxana at school.  It's not like she can do anything for Pedro being stuck at the house…she might as well go look for her daughter.  Fidel will cover for her.  Um, except that Fi is out of uniform and ready to head for the hospital.  Fidel just can't catch a break.  He has to go chasing her down.

Eloisa chews out the family for not telling her what happened.  She demands Pedro be brought home…they've got that medical room all set up.  Dante can get it all ready.  Elizalde says moving him could be more dangerous.  "Bring him in a helicopter!  Or drive 3 miles per hour!  Get all the best neurologists here!  I want my grandson here!"  Os, of course, encourages it.  Fi hears the whole thing and tells Fidel she'll wait for Pedro there and everything will be fine, right?  Fidel's poor jacket is probably soaked by now.

Roxana, whining up a storm, is escorted to school by Adela.  Did I say "escorted"?  I meant to say dragged.  No, wait, "dragged" isn't quite right, either. How about…hauled?  Wheeled!  That's it!  Adela has her tied to a hand truck and rolls her RIGHT up to the classroom.  Beni is impressed and takes full responsibility.  "Mom…you did perfect!  Though, maybe you went a little overboard."  She finally unties Rox, who whines about needing to just mope for a while.  Beni says that if she didn't show up at school, Gael was going to start looking for her, and then what?  The family would find out she's staying with his parents.  She has to at least let people know she's ok.  Rox is beginning to relent when Joaquina comes running up, gives her a big hug, and asks if she's ok.  I'm not sure Rox knows what to do with this much genuine concern and affection being lavished on her by so many people at once.

Whoosh!  Pedro's home.  Hey, good thing he had that medical room installed like you didn't want him to, hey El?  El and Sergio get to stand by the bed while Fi has to cry in the doorway.

Joaquina begs Rox to do something to try to come home.  Rox starts telling her off…how dare a maid tell her what to do?!  Adela whacks Rox's butt with her pocketbook for being rude.  As usual, Joaquina comes to her defense…"How dare you call her rude!  You stay out of this!"  Ohhhhhhh, it's on!  Battle of the Consuegras!  Adela tells Joaquina off for spoiling Rox all the time.  Beni starts to drag Adela off, and then gets chased off as she comes after him with her shoe.  This leaves Rox to tell Joaquina to go away and just…tell everyone she's having the time of her life.

Fi and Simona try to get past Dante with sheets and towels.  He sets Fi to crying…again…because she's not "family."  He summons the nurse to take the laundry into the room.  Sergio emerges and Fi begs to see Pedro.  As he did before, Sergio understands Fi's concern.  They weep together.  Sergio admits that he knows Fi loves Pedro.  I was hoping for an apology for trying to separate them, but I settle for Sergio letting Fi into Pedro's room and calling the nurse out.  And then keeping Aitana from going into the room.  As Fi weeps over Pedro and says everything will be fine, it almost looks like he nods.  He's still unconscious, though.  She begs him to open his eyes and answer her.  Finally, since this is still a fairy tale, her kiss wakes him.  But he's not talking.  Until he says, "I can't see anything.  I can't see you."

Gracias Diva, for the recap! Oh my, a lot of stuff happened.

Well, at least Pedro is not in a neck brace. But ... dun….dun…DUNNNNNN .... his Bingo card says --- blind! Oh noes! Memories of CCEA!! Maybe Roxi will finish med school in warp speed time and operate on Pedro’s eyes? Maybe Pedro will get a bad-ass guide dog that can beat up Beginigno’s bad dog? And bite Os too?

Best scene to date! Adela telling Roxi she could get dressed for school or go in her pajamas was the first laugh and smile I’ve had in this entire telenovela. She is one kick-butt mom! I just love her!
* I noticed that Roxi’s face was never shown and hidden by her hair, after she was thrown over Ade’s shoulder. I think the “Roxi” actress was cracking up a la Jimmy Fallon.
And I just loved seeing her wheeled into school, tied to a hand truck. LOL

WHAT ON EARTH is wrong with those shoulder pads on Benito’s jacket? They have been driving me crazy all week long, the way they peak up at the shoulder seam. Ya’ll, just take a look, next time. That is just wrong. Bad fit, bad sewing, bad something. Eeeeek.

Simona IS good people! Adela is good people! Fidel is good people although the writers make him do some dumb stuff. I want THEM to inherit everything in Eloisa’s will and make the rest of those idiots get real jobs.

Gracias, doris! I'm laughing so hard! I love your entire comment! I'm having this vision of Simona in a fancy suit trying to act all hoity-toity and not being able to resist smiling because it's just so goshdarn fun to be rich :D

I imagine that there are parents out there who have seriously considered hauling their kids to school like that. Not going today, my ass!

My dad's was more like "The car leaves at 7:14, whether you're ready to go or not." I swear, there were mornings I was dressed in under a minute to get in on time!

Diva!! Mille grazie sorellina mia! Fun and thorough coverage of a great episode!

You know what? Simona broke my heart more than Fiorella. Lord, have mercy that girl can shriek! I think Sonia really was feeling sorry for Fifi. The actress portrayed that quiet sadness and recognition that Fiorella loves Pedro too, very well. Enough that I felt somewhat sorry for Sonia myself.

Now, the way you described Aitana's reaction was sweet. Oh, she had the nerve to laugh when she heard that Pedro was on death's door! Thanks for that on Benigno saying Ass boy is next. Didn't catch it.

In addition to laughing, I got this visual of how annoying it was, as a kid, when you drop your sucker, pick it up and it has hair all over it!

People! Listen to your Abuelas, and Grannies, Mommas and Maiden Aunts: Catching un aire or un viento is TOTALLY TRUE! I've caught plenty in my time! It's no old wives tale! Thanks for taking the time to bring out that little jewel, Diva! ;D

Now this is just damned funny: Back in Os' room, the Ass himself is as horny as ever, but Sonia…Sonia pushes him off in favor of a shower.

Loved Adela telling that silly Quina off. The earlier caterwauling by Roxi and Adela, not so much!

Although I loved Sergio running Dante away from Pedro's door, it was an exact replay of the earlier scene at the hospital after Pedro was shot. Lather, rinse, repeat.

And Doris, I would have howled out loud if the boys weren't still asleep:

Maybe Roxi will finish med school in warp speed time and operate on Pedro’s eyes? Maybe Pedro will get a bad-ass guide dog that can beat up Beginigno’s bad dog? And bite Os too?

Gosh! I LOVE this! That would be soooo perfect!

Blind, hunh? Well, we thought coma or amnesia but I, for one, didn't see that coming. No pun intended. Wonder how long they're going to drag this out. Sheesh! Oh yeah, Aitana was so coming to try to finish the job with death by pillow. That she should even be let in the ranch after Pedro put her out is beyond the pale! Where was crack security chief Dante? Instead of suspecting that Fifi had something to do with the hell hound, shouldn't he suspect Aitana may want to settle a score after her ass was left at the altar?

Mille grazie di nuovo, Diva!

Love your play by play Kat. Thanks

"Sonia is…well, I couldn't swear to it, her being fictional and all…but I think she might be feeling bad for Fi"

Livia is one helluva crier, give her that, but what a Shriekazoid

Petey, prone on the bed, all I wondered was who was gonna shave him. He's got a chiseled angle beard facade on his pretty baby face and really high maintenance. Could go bad quickly.

Dante ..... I don't expect much in the way of gray matter for the guy who is carrying on with Fedeloca . Not the brightest bulb on the string if you ask me.

I hated that dialogue between Quina and Roxi at the school. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Quina needs boundaries and to learn that one gets the amount of respect one demands from others. I feel for Quina's bad choices in life but she brought it all on herself.

Oh, Kat, you brought such wonderful humor to an episode that made me so friggin' mad the cats slowly sneaked out of the room about 10 minutes in. (Of course, Fi's screeching sure didn't help any.)

I will get this off my chest....the man MAYBE was dying, and the most important thing Fidel thinks of is that the stupid pretense of Fi just being a servant is maintained. And Fi goes along with it???? I would have been in the paramedics face with "He's my husband" and jumped in that ambulance. WTH is the point of the secret if the man dies--she never gets to see him again WHY??? That was the single most stupid plot point they put into this story. Let the fur fly and land where it may, she should have been with Petey.

Ok, feel slightly better. Sonia is on to Os, and interesting that now dear old dad wants to bump off Os too. (Your "sucks to be you Aitanna" paragraph was WONDERFUL!!")So we get blindness...ok, not as clichéd so this could be interesting. Hope it doesn't last long though. Would be good to have his sight come back, but he uses blindness to trap people. How many episodes left? At some more immediate point, I want the company takeover crud to end.

I let out a cheer when Adela laid into Jo...sure I enjoyed her giving it to Rox and the hauler was hysterical, but maybe she turned the light bulb on to Jo and that snark remark made me happy. Part of what made Rox the brat she was Jo's entitlement attitude too. Thank you Adela.

What happened to Simona's story with her little dude? Bless her, she needs to be front and center with her own plot. Only person with screwed up emotions in this whole thing.

G&G:Matching tennies...killing me. I'm waiting for a "shoe" to fall (sorry for the pun" with these two though. Going too well right now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Daisynjay

Sorry, can't edit, but that should have been Simona is the only person WITHOUT screwed up emotions. I need more coffee....

Daisynjay

Kat- This whole recap was hilarious. I haven't seen the episode yet, but I could picture it all-- and even hear it all (I can hear Fi shrieking). :)

So, not a coma or amnesia, but blindness. OK. I guess that give the camera man a chance to focus repeatedly on Pedro's beautiful eyes.

Daisynjay- You might be on to something. What if Pedro is faking being blind, or eventually pretends when his sight comes back? Like Eloisa pretending to be senile, I'm sure he would get the chance to witness all kinds of shady behavior by people who think he can't see. That would be awesome. I hope the writers do this.

Ooooh, daisynjay! I hadn't thought about him pretending to be blind, either now or if or when his sight returns.

It could work I think? Freddie with her documents and she would think he couldn't see, etc. And he could ask to have Fi be the one to squire him around? Especially helpful getting ready for bed you know? I mean, if the writers are going this route, they better make it worthwhile.

My fondest wish would be to just get this blasted marriage out in the open. If people are willing to kill (Dante basically admitted it had to be an inside job with the dog), and Petey can confirm there was a dog, then what's the point of a secret marriage anyway? As his wife, wouldn't she inherit everything that was his anyway? So great, something happens to you and you leave her defenseless against this group when the secret comes out? Sorry, I'm being logical. THis is a TN...I need to stop that.

Daisynjay

- OT ..... does anyone know how to get in touch with susanlynn? or to which telenovela recap she is posting?

I've run across a blog with the Outlander costumes that is verra verra gorgeous eye candy to share:

http://www.terrydresbach.com/links-to-costume-detail-posts-by-character/#more-5394

doris...I paged her :)

The title says it all, Kat. I've been lurking here, but not watching. Yesterday's comments about the pjs and today's comments about shoulder pads drove me to Hulu. (Yes, doris, the shoulder pads are.....odd.)

"When we're back outside, I'm amazed that Fi's shrieks weren't clearly audible in El's room, too!"

Dear lord the shrieking. I had to take a break. What I did see of the episode was hilarious. I felt like I was watching bad improv.

"Yeah, that really sucks...Sucks to be you, Aitana. Sucks to be you."

A recap within a recap! Thank you. Honestly, even after not having watched since late September(...or even before then?) it sure didn't feel like much has changed. They are still trying to kill Pedro and they are still scheming.

"And he doesn't believe a dog or some other wild animal could get onto the ranch, with all the state-of-the-art security they have…unless someone let them in?"

Oh this is rich. Aren't PEOPLE always getting in????

"Adela whine/screams at Roxana to get out of bed already."

Ok. This was more unnecessary screaming (Or perhaps 7 AM is too early to be watching these things.) The rest of the scene was classic!

"...the important thing is Gi and Gael are wearing matching red sneakers. And It's sofreakincute I can't stand it!"

Drat! I missed that detail!

"Battle of the Consuegras!"

HAHAHAHA!!!

Thanks for a fabulous recap, Kat! It was lots of fun.

Gracias, Lila! I'm always tickled when they bring up thinks like aires and vientos and I have to really stop and think about how to explain it, because to me it's not something that has an explanation in words it's just...it's un aire. That's part of what I love about recapping, it makes me stop and think about things I usually take for granted.

We are getting a lot of repitition at this point...
Both Pedro and Julieta have now been blinded.
A crying Fi has been kept away from Pedro by everyone but Sergio twice.
Both Pedro and Beni have been in bad shape (and had "hematomas"?) and had everybody worried and upset for days.
The "hospital room" at the house has now been used for both Pedro and Gianna.
Os is the reason Pedro has been in the hospital both times, both were botched murder attempts.

I'm sure I'm missing some.

Gracias, tofie! Hmmm...good question about the beard...and perhaps more importantly...who got him out of hospital clothes and into that track suit?

doris, I'm apalled by Joaquina's behavior. How could she possibly say that Roxana talking down to her like that wasn't rude? She sure as hell does need some boundaries! She's got to stop letting that kid walk all over her!

Gracias, daisynjay! I agree, if ever there was a time to bring out the "He's my husband!" now is that time.

Kat, what a way to end the New Year. Most excellent.

"Simona, because she's a nice person and not a soulless husk" and "Sorry, sorry, sorry, my apologies to all dogs and wild animals, y'all do not deserve to be compared to Dante" were among my favorites. I'll echo Lila's enthusiastic appreciation of "Back in Os' room, the Ass himself is as horny as ever, but Sonia…Sonia pushes him off in favor of a shower" as well.

Out of respect, I should comment on Pedro first. I suspected he would not be able to walk and/or have amnesia, but blindness after an accident is a perennial TN staple so not surprised. I also thought Sonia looked sad and regretful but that doesn't atone for her prior sins here (at least in my book). She will have to do more penance than that.

I adore Adela who “has her tied to a hand truck and rolls her RIGHT up to the classroom”. I mean, how can you not? One of the highlights of this show thus far. Add “Adela tells Joaquina off for spoiling Rox all the time. Beni starts to drag Adela off, and then gets chased off as she comes after him with her shoe” and you have gold. Pure gold.

Love Simona and wish she would have more of a storyline.

I felt badly for Sergio who clearly loves his son. I still can't grasp who he is. He seems insightful at times and dimwitted others. He is jealous, petulant yet seems to have a good heart. I still think he and Julieta are mismatched.

doris, "Maybe Pedro will get a bad-ass guide dog that can beat up Beginigno’s bad dog? And bite Os too?" Wouldn't that be grand? :)

daisy, still chuckling at "G&G:Matching tennies...killing me. I'm waiting for a "shoe" to fall".

So good to see your comment Sara! You've been missed very much.

To everyone, a happy, healthy and wonderful New Year!

Diana

Gracias, Vivi! Ohhh, yes, lots of focus on pretty Pedro, that's not a bad strategy. I wish I had enough trust in this lot to think that was even on their radar.

Gracias, Sara! Uuuuuuuuugh, the screaming, the crying...there should have been a warning on the episode to turn down the volume!

Dante and his crappy excuse for security. It's so awful that it defies beanies, but it can't even bother to be funny. Anyone and everyone can just walk onto the ranch and into the house at any time, even getting so far as Eloisa's room, before anyone even notices. Oh, but it's completely unreasonable for a total stranger and a dog to have made it onto the property. Uh...yeah...ok.... I think only turning on the cameras when Eloisa wants them was the last straw for Mr. 5ft. He has now declared this show as bad as La Gata, even if it's not in the same way. And the screaming didn't help.

Gracias, Diana! I think you've captured Sergio as well as anyone can. He has so many years of bad habits...I think a lot of his bad qualities things that maybe are real, but that he exaggerated for years to try to keep the pain of losing his wife away. And to piss off the family. But now they're such a habit, it's at odds with him trying to actually behave like an adult and have a serious relationship.

Diana-you've brought a smile to my face. I am touched that you missed me (I will have to pop over to Lichita at some point...I watch sporadically and lurk on the recaps.)

"He has now declared this show as bad as La Gata, even if it's not in the same way."

Interesting. As I watched this morning I wondered to myself if you all thought this was as bad as La Gata. It still feels a little better to me...but you all have been watching longer.

Kat - thank you verra much for paging susanlynn. :-)

sara - so nice to see you stop by the MIVAC table on the Patio!

I did not watch LaGata (half of the first episode was enough for me) so I can only compare this to watching Engañada, a daytime telenovela ages ago on Looneyvision. It was so awwful, and I kept coming back to watch it. LOL Ah, well, there are worse vices in life.

doris-There is something about MIVAC. I'm not watching, but damn if I can't stop lurking and reading the comments. MIVAC inspires really great stuff...from shoulder pads to "hairballs". If I hadn't been recapping La Gata, I would have walked away and never looked back. MIVAC just seems to be a show and a patio that one simply doesn't walk away from. A big part of that is the recappers.

Sara - our recappers are a big reason I stayed with MIVAC!

No way this one is bad as La Gata or even CI in my estimation. Though it says it all, this show was nominated for Kids Choice Awards Mexico.

I don't think it's anywhere near as bad. We have at no time reached a point where people are saying words, and I understand what the words mean, and they're strung together into sentences that I understand, and yet the whole thing is still utterly incomprehensible.

I think the hour of tears and the high concentration of stupid decisions were too much for poor Mr. 5ft. He also felt the need to leave the room frequently during Triunfo del Amor. I'm surprised that some of Julieta's "mi hija" crying isn't giving him flashbacks.

As long as they don't push Gi and Gael too far into the background, and I get some good Simona moments, and Adela stays sassy, I think I'll be ok.

Diva-I've been lucky to see snippets if Simona when I've been channel surfing. She is great. I see why you all like her.

What about Fidel? Is he still fairy godfathering?

I don't think La Gata had any redeeming characters like this. Oh, the brother. What was his name? Jorge Poza was the actor. There wasn't nearly enough of him to make La Gata good. Same goes for Centavito and Victoria (was that her name?)

tofie- I'm LMAO at the nomination for kid's choice award. It does explain a lot.

SARA!!!! Sorellina carita! Come stai? So good to see you! With all due respect to Mr. 5 ft. I agree, this is not as bad as La Gata. Lordy, that wreck is in a class all by itself! Many were the days that I would watch and have an involuntary sream/cry/laugh erupt from my mouth that sometimes even scared me! So many WTFs and similar exclamations that I'm just glad I never suffered a health crisis because the boys would not have even come to investigate, they'd gotten so yused to my cussin' and fussin'! Yah, anywho. It's been more fun since Petey and Fifi got married.

I'm still laughing at Doris and the "bad assed guide dog" who will beat up the bad doggie and take a chunk out of Assvaldo!

Keep lurking and comment anytime, sorellina, you know you're welcome.

Hi ya Sara, self imposed exile is hard to impose, ain't it?

Jorge Poza played brother Mariano with his monk like celibacy but they screwed him up too with self flagellation when he almost forced himself on Gisela. Yuck

Here, Fifi nearly marrying Vitto went way too long, Petey is purty and acts like a clueless spoiled little boy but he's not a dick like Pablo was. Taking this one home for me is G&G (love Simona too, the actor rocks) and they better leave them be. Waiting on Gianna to tell Gael to remove his pants next.

tofie-Jorge Poza is going to be on Hotel in a really good part. I thought of you when I read about it. I remember you really liked him on La Gata.

I read another telenovela blog (La hora de la novela) and the actors playing GyG were recently "awarded" silver (Gael) and gold (Gi) medals for their performances in this. Even with the little bit I've seen of them, they have stolen the show.

Lila-You're the bomb diggety! I think I might even try to catch the Friday episode of this. The trick will be to watch only as much as I can stand (not much) and just keep up with the recaps and comments...that's where the quality is!

Awww, thanks, Sara! :D

Lila- am still mulling over your comment. I think you're one to something. My reaction to La Gata was more like anger. MIVAC just makes me laugh.

Sara - the key to watching MIVAC is using the mute or FFWD--> buttons. Let instinct guide you. ;-)

Sara--Fidel is confusing. Sometimes he's brilliant and makes a lot of sense and he's fabulous to have around. And sometimes he makes horrible suggestions and gets in the way.

Lila--that's a terrible thought! "Well, no, we didn't know anything was wrong. We just thought she was watching La Gata." I swear I'm not laughing....

tofie--That's true. Pedro hasn't done anything so horrible he can't come back from it. And he's not nearly as much of a (grand)mama's boy as Pablo was *shudder*

doris--I use selective hearing and tune out most of it. Just look at the pretty pictures.

"Let instinct guide you. ;-)"

I will accept you guidance, Doris Wan Kenobi.

Sara - may the force be with us

LaDiva, thanks for this new years eve recap.
Fi shreiking was kind of annoying. I'd say she
Was actin like a wife worried about her man/
Hubby dying.
I could just smack dante.
I could just smack aitana and her numnut ma
And pa.
Ok its not nice to smack folks on new years eve. But these people really deserve it.
I think pedro will be fine, the swelling just has
To go down. That's my prognosis anyway. He really should get his eyesight back, cause
This Is just givin the hairy one a chance to on
Purpose accidentally push him down the stairs or trip him up.
Ya know, for a sweet lady fi is very loud when
She's upset. I like her, shes just really loud
When she can't get to pedro in his time of need.
You know what was realky funny? " danta was tasked with finding out QTH is going on with that dog that apparently don't know how to Get along with horses". LOL, I'M still laughing, so funny.
I'm glad she got in to see Pedro she's the only one that can wake him up "with true love's kiss". You know, sappy stuff. Ok it's
Almost time for the ball to drop.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

Gracias, Nina! Gotta say, I was totally ok with true love's kiss waking up Pedro if it meant we didn't have to endure weeks or months of a coma. Yay for the sappy stuff, when it works!

Diva - the title of this recap is so clever and I keep forgetting to tell you. The song runs thru my head every time I see it.

Ack. I forgot there was no MIVAC last night. I thought our DVR broke and then I remembered... Withdrawals? No puede ser! Ah, well, I shall amuse myself instead by cleaning the racks in our oven. Xmas dinner took a toll on them......

I just finished watching...and I use that term loosely, because I ffwded everything except G&G (loved the matching Chucks), and Adela & Rox. The scene where Adela throws Rox over her shoulder and even slaps her butt, was hilarious. So was the hand cart/dolly. Don't think I've ever seen that before. My mouth fell open when delusional Quina yelled at Adela and said that Rox isn't rude. Say what?!

OT Dear Doris..Thanks for thinking of me. Since Outlander has become my new obsession, I have researched all aspects, and I love the costumes for the upcoming season. I follow Diana on Twitter and Facebook. I regularly checkout the multitudes of blogs on the series. I just finished the latest book in the series #8.

Diva dear..Thanks for leaving a message in a bottle for me to find and search for Doris's message to me. You guys are the best.

Good afternoon folks. I hope you are having a very happy New Year and that all your dreams come true this year. Oh this episode was a heavy one and it seems that today we are also gonna have more heavy drama from Fiorella and Pietro cause Assvaldo left him blind, oh my God.
Oh that Ass is gonna be so upset when he finds that Pietro didn't die that I don't think he is gonna desist in his obsession of killing him.

Ha, doris! Mi earworm es su earworm :p

Vivi, the Adela and Rox scenes were so great! I don't know how they kept from cracking up. I bet there are some good outtakes.

Thanks, Susanlynn :) I'm glad we tracked you down!

Gracias, Marla! I hope there's not too much more of the endless crying...looks like it's about time to find out for sure.
