Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #91 Monday 1-4-15 (Mex 126-127) After The Dog and Pony Show Fail, It's off to the Paris Hilton! Yikes!

Ciao, i miei amici!  Andiamo!

Dante takes Eloisa her drops to the dining room.  She invites him to sit down and tells him somebody is trying to kill her.  She plays coy and at first and says he is the one trying to kill her with his incompetence as her Chief of Security and he needs to be more vigilant of her person and property.  He presses her about who she suspects and Eloisa finally says Freddie and he should keep an eye on her.

Roxi is off to school and seems to be getting a final inspection by Adela and Rey.  The two disagree as to whether Roxi's skirt is too short.  As per usual, they get into a yelling match.  Roxi noisily dismisses them and leaves just as Vitto is arriving.  In a funny little crack at Vitto, Roxi tells him to stop looking at her:  if Fiorella couldn't even stand him, she certainly can't.  She flounces away with her nose in the air, probably holding her breath, too.

Pedro is sitting up in bed and looking mighty fine this morning but his mood is a mismatch: he feels useless and helpless and anxious for the test results to come in.  Sergio and Fiorella are with him and Simoneta enters loudly announcing her knockless entry.  She's come to get the breakfast plates, she and Fiorella fuss that he's not eaten very well and Simoneta seamlessly drops the news that Santino is back from Italy and has gone up immediately to see Julietta.  Pedro wonders what connection Santino has with Julieta and Sergio tells the story of  Julieta and Santino being novios many years ago.  Pedro wonders how he "let's them" be together knowing they were once novios.  Pedro is used to being deprived of the rights of adulthood as this whole story demonstrates to us daily.  Sergio says they're adults and can do as they please.  He makes haste to leave, however, to check up on Julieta.

Fiorella sits on Pedro's bed and sighs that here they are newlyweds yet unable to tell the whole world they are man and wife.  Pedro says the most important thing is that they know they love each other.  Knockless entry number two as Aitana barges in and offers a sarcastic quip about patient and nurse.  Pedro asks what she's doing there.  Aitana ignores the questions and spits at Fiorella that she's tired of seeing her everywhere and has the nerve to tell her to get out.  Fiorella is standing behind Pedro with her arm lightly but firmly around his shoulder.  Fiorella says that she is in charge of caring for Pedro and Aitana yells back that Fiorella isn't in charge of anything. .  .BASTA!  The last thing he wants to hear is Aitana's yelling.  Aitana calls him "mi amor" and says she wants to take care of him and she'll be very quiet.  Pedro replies he doesn't want to see her or hear her and he doesn't want to argue and to just please leave.  Aitana gives Fiorella a modified stink eye since she doesn't want Pedro to see her in full bitch mode with Fiorella and finally leaves.  Pedro and Fiorella hug each other with a sigh after she's gone.

Vitto pisses and moans to an unsympatheric Adela and Rey about having been royally ripped off and losing the love of his life, the REAL loss.  They remind him of his deception.  Adela and Rey both agree on that but disagree that Diana is a good option for him.  Adela thinks that Diana gives off bad vibes and her eyes are just so cold.  Vitto asks for details and Adela says that Diana made friends with another of the tenants. (I think she's referring to Tania, Pedro's late girlfriend.  Not sure what's so bad about this?)  Adela thinks that Diana is hiding something and seems to be two-faced and asks if he's sure she doesn't have anything to do with the robbery.  Rey calls Adela racist for judging Diana for the color of her eyes.  Adela reminds them of that funny business of the sister who's picture they couldn't find and her so-called nephew.  Vitto flatly rejects the idea.  Diana could NEVER betray him!

At that moment at Diana's Anibal is recruiting Ramiro to do a job for him:  he wants to seek revenge on Julieta whom he blames for his recent stint in the slammer.  He rues the day he married her. . .Diana walks in just in time to hear this and Ramiro makes a quick exit.

Back at the ranch Sergio does his checking in with Julieta and Sergio.  Sergio tells Santino about Pedro's "accident" and Santino very graciously offers whatever assistance he may, even financial.  Sergio very ungraciously rejects it with a guffaw but thanks him for the offer.  Julietta asks Sergio to beat it so she and Santino can talk.  Sergio makes a parting shot that Santino needs to come up with something useful this time, not the flotsam and jetsam he had last time.

RPC.  Diana realizes Anibal was married while she was with him and bore his child.  He runs a line of bull about her and his son being what matters and now he has the money he needs for them to live as they please but first he's got to even the score with Julieta and make her pay for what she did to him.

Dr. Elizalde meets with Pedro, Sergio, Eloisa and Assvaldo.  Pedro's diagnosis is post traumatic cortical blindness.*  Sometimes there are cases where there is partial recovery of sight but many cases that are irreversible.  Assvaldo, cynical, hypocritical jerk entreats Pedro to be calm and assures him that he will see again.  Eloisa instructs Dr. Elizalde to get the best treatment possible for Pedro.  If surgery is needed, so be it!  Elizalde says they will do everything they can.  Sergio offers more reassurances and Fiorella looks on sympathetically.  [*See this article in Wikipedia or Google it for yourself.]

Freddie busts Benigno in Pedro's offices rifling through his files and they have a face-off.  Benigno says he's trying to get things in order.  As a major partner he's got a right to be there!  This is a time for hard decisions and with Pedro incapacitated, he will soon be in charge.  Freddie and Benigno are literally face to face, jaws tight, baring their canines.  "Don't you think you're getting ahead of yourself?  This business belongs to the Angeles family and when there are decisions to be made, they will be made by an Angeles!" barks Freddie!

Back in Pedro's sick room Fiorella emphasizes the positive part of Dr. Elizalde's assessment, that getting his sight back is possible.  Saint Biagio won't abandon them.  Keep the faith, baby!  She reads him a snippet from the business section of the newspaper lauding the standing of ACorp as "strongest in it's field, perhaps in the whole country."  She says later the article said this was all due to the skilled management of its CEO, Pedro Angeles.  This seems only to trouble Pedro and underline his helplessness and feeling of loss of control as he is away from the important day to day matters of the business.  Pedro also feels a tension in the Angeles household.  In a somewhat awkward transition Pedro says he's worried about Sergio being upset over Santino's presence and sends her to see if he and Julieta need  anything.  As she is leaving he calls her back for a few more smackeroos.

Roxi and Gigi have to do a school assignment together.  Gigi is sad because she's thinking about the whole adoption thing that Fifi is supposedly hiding from her.  Roxi is being a bitch.  Gianna blows up and slams her book on the table and tells Roxi she is FED UP with her!  Roxi flounces out, Gael glides in and offers his sweet Gaelic comfort to Gianna.  She shares that what Fiorella was hiding from her is that she is adopted.  Gael counsels that she's not even sure, she should calm down.

I'm going to summarize this next part because it was personally maddening.  Now, I don't know if they left something out but here's what plays out in Eloisa's room.  Eloisa and Sergio are seated and Assvaldo is standing and tells them HE has found the top specialist in post traumatic cortical blindness in the WORLD......in Paris!  Assvaldo claims to have sent Pedro's test results to this Specialist in Paris!  Sergio asks what about Dr. Elizalde's recommendation that they needed time. . .Assvaldo interrupts, saying that he got the test results from Elizalde and though Assvaldo didn't give him details, Elizalde said the Paris Specialist is THE EXPERT in dealing with Pedro's malady.  Eloisa objects and even says the Drs. from Paris can be brought to the Ranch; Sergio is doubtful but in the end they agree that if Elizalde says so, they will take Pedro to Paris!  Assvaldo's hypocrisy knows no bounds and if Eloisa and Sergio don't check out this so-called specialist, their stupidity knows no bounds, either!

There is a cute scene in the living room where Santino and Julieta talk.  He has found out that their daughter's adoptive father never had a steady job and moved around a lot within Italy.  Another fascinating detail is that he had ties to Mexico!  He's not exactly sure what the connection was, but the investigation continues.  Fiorella stands at the threshold and has heard Julieta and Santino say they have a daughter; she marvels, seems puzzled and then she stumbles or something and Santino and Julieta hear her.  She excuses herself but they detain her and Santino remarks with a smile but good naturedly that the last time that he saw her she was leaving her groom at the altar.  There is a little awkward chuckling and she explains that she and Gianluca didn't last and she decided to return to the Ranch.  Julieta asks about Pedro and Fiorella becomes sad.  She thinks Pedro is fine, he is strong but she worries that he may not regain his sight.  Santino's offer of assistance is met in the spirit it is offered this time.  Fiorella thanks him and tells him he's a good man with a big heart and she touches him gently over his heart and says she will tell Pedro.  This leads Julieta to tell Fiorella that she has a big heart as well and she is tender, sweet, and a wonderful person.  Well, she says modestly, she just tries to do what is fair and never hurt anybody.  Santino says he has noticed that.  Fiorella sheds their praise with self deprecating humor about being clumsy and Julieta tells her she must learn to accept compliments.  They joke about her being clumsy and end up laughing and sharing a light, group hug.  Family portrait if I've ever seen one!

Again, at the Ranch, Eloisa, Sergio and Assvaldo have gone to tell Pedro about the specialist in Paris.  Do you hear me?  They're going to tell Pedro, whose eyes and life it is, what Assvaldo has convinced them to have done to Pedro as if he were in a coma, or underage, or under Assvaldo's guardianship for crying out loud!  RPC.  Pedro doesn't want to go.  He doesn't want to leave the family, the Ranch, the business and for two or three months as Assvaldo tells him.  At least Pedro says he will talk to Dr. Elizalde.  Sergio assures him that he will not be alone:  either he or Gael will be with him.

Gianna continues crying to Gael about being adopted and he continues to try to console her.  She thinks that's why she has a heart condition that neither of her parents had.  Gael says that all heart conditions are not hereditary and her illness doesn't matter.  The people she think are her adoptive parents loved her despite it and he loves her as well.  Roxi comes in and blurts out that Giana is adopted in a questioning tone as if she's asking if Gianna has an STD.  Now Gael blows up, stands up and dresses Roxi down.  She is so insufferable, that's why Granny threw her out on her butt!  Her own family can't even stand her!  Roxi runs off.  This whole time Gianna has sat stone still with tears welling up in her eyes.  Gael returns to comforting her.  Benni runs after Roxi.

Fiorella enters Pedro's room as Sergio and Eloisa try to relieve the shock on Pedro of the Paris plan.  Eloisa tries to get snippy with Fiorella and put her out but Sergio and Pedro defend her right to be there and testify to Eloisa's having agreed to it as well.  Seems Eloisa has remembered her pretend dementia as she asks the "joven", Sergio, to accompany her to her room.  Fiorella heard Eloisa say something about "in the meantime".  Pedro says it's part of Eloisa's illness and distracts her with caresses, kisses and te amos.

Quina is fretting about Roxi and is determined to talk to Eloisa.  Fidel fails in stopping her and off she goes!

Freddie gripes to Dante about Benigno nosing around in Pedro's office.  She KNEW the cards were right when they warned of a two-faced woman mucking around in the business.  Dante gripes, yet again, about the damned cards driving him crazy.  He asks Freddie if she tried to kill Eloisa.  At first she tries to laugh it off and then she admits it, defiantly.  She tried but HE always ruined the plan!

Gael has finally applied all the TLC therapy he can at this point and has to go to class.  He asks Gigi to text him if he needs anything.  One more yummy kiss and he leaves.  Gigi takes out her phone and sighs heavily.  Bennie and Roxi approach and he leaves Roxi there with a promise to apologize.  Gigi thinks it's a joke but Roxi is serious.  She tells Gigi about having been adopted by, or rather taken in by Maximo and Eloisa because both her parents had died.  Gianna looks at her with glassy eyes softened now and tells Roxi she is sorry.  Roxi says, without sarcasm, "You know, the more time goes on, the more we seem to have in common."

Let's catch up with Pedro and Fiorella who is telling him about the loss of her birth record in the fire at the Maratea hospital.  Pedro thinks there must be some other way to get her birth records and then apologizes for his distraction.  "My Dad and Grandmother decided to send me for a special treatment to cure me of the blindess.  Only thing, its in Paris and we're going to have to be separated for some time.  Maybe as much as three months.  It's a long time and they want me to leave tomorrow!"

Finally, Quina is in Eloisa's room and pleading with her to reconsider Roxi's exile.  Eloisa is smug and aloof, slathering lotion on her arms:  No way that spoiled, rude, obnoxious ingrate is coming back to the Ranch.  Quina pleads that Roxi is young and vulnerable.  These appeals don't cut it so Quina tries to get sympathy for herself, for the bond of love she feels for Roxi having taken care of her since she was an infant.  Still unmoved, Eloisa says she won't put up with Roxi's obnoxiousness just because her parents died.

Quina:  What if I told you her parents didn't die and they aren't who you think they are?

Eloisa stops with the lotion.  If you know something, then tell me who in the devil are the parents of that spoiled, good for nothing.. .

Eloisa:  Don't call her that!

Quina:  I didn't mean to hurt you, but you must forgive Roxana and allow her to come back to the Ranch!

Eloisa:  What's your theory about Roxana's parents?  Who are they?

Quina:  Señora, what I'm about to tell you, you won't like.

Eloisa:  Tell me, already!

Quina:  I am Roxana's mother!

Eloisa's eyes lose the dull glint of scorn and fly open as does her mouth!

Thank you, Lila! I haven't watched the episode, but I'm having a blast reading the recap.

The first line to tickle my fancy:

"Pedro is used to being deprived of the rights of adulthood as this whole story demonstrates to us daily."

So true!

"modified stink eye" haha!

"Diana could NEVER betray him!" Right, Vito. Who would betray a hot studmuffin like you?

"... but many cases that are irreversible." Awww hell. How long is this gonna last?

The dog imagery you used to describe Benigno and Freddie's scene was great!

"Gael glides in and offers his sweet Gaelic comfort to Gianna." Well I know which part I WON'T fast forward!

The Pedro in Paris plan is dumb. What's even dumber is Pedro saying he and Fi will be apart. Hello! Play the sympathy card! This is the perfect time to let the secret marriage cat out of the bag! Great googly moogly what a dummy.

Qunia comes clean. This should be interesting.

Thanks again, Lila! After reading this masterful recap, I may not even watch the episode. Your version is much better.

Oh, luscious recap Lila. Grabbing a quick coffee before heading to work and got so into it, the coffee is cold. Good stuff!!

Have to say, for casting purposes on these "surprise" families, they did a good job. That Fi/Mommy/Daddy scene was a true Polaroid moment and they LOOKED like a family. (By the way, where's Gorgeous Eyes? Gael needs his adoptive moment.)

I do hope this is the start of a less snotty Roxi finally with her apology to Gia. Now how she will react if the truth comes out on mumsy is another story. Think she may rather be adopted? Which could mean cue the snot again. ARGH!!

I totally agree that if this "Paris" thing happens, that family definitely has some genetic brain cells missing. Asshat finds a doctor?? And no one would check out and make the medical arrangements but him? Either that shows how stupid Eloisa is or really poor writing. I vote both. Watch, Hairball will go along.

Some nights, I just want to be Gianna for no other reason than wanting a Gael hug. Sigh.

Daisynjay

Buongiorno e mille grazie, Sarita, sorellina mia! Girl, I was about to bust a gasket! How in the hell does anyone else other than a competent ADULT in full possession of his faculties get to decide what medical treatment said adult is going to get? How in the hell does Dr. Elizalde get off giving Assvaldo Pedro's records! Now, I don't believe there is any Dr.in Paris and if there is, we know this is just a set up to isolate and then murder Pedro. I know Pedro is traumatized but why in the hell didn't he protest about this decision being made behind his back, his power and right to make his own decisions being usurped and the gross violation of confidentiality that made this possible?

Okay, okay. I need Gael to help me calm down. Jeezopete, this drives me crazy!

You said, it, Sara!

The Pedro in Paris plan is dumb. What's even dumber is Pedro saying he and Fi will be apart. Hello! Play the sympathy card! This is the perfect time to let the secret marriage cat out of the bag! Great googly moogly what a dummy.

Lordy! Anywho, I feel better now. Thank you, Sara!

Buongiorno e grazie tantissimo, Daisynjay! Oh, gawd, I forgot about Hairball! Yah, Sergio is acting as if he's having early onset of Alzheimer's! Monumentally stoopid plan!

That moment with Julieta, Santino and Fifi WAS cute, wasn't it? They're really hitting us over the head with this being a real bio family. Interesting that Santino offered financial support which is a reminder to us that he's got BIG MONEY! Sergio's scoffing was purposeful, too. I'm sure we're going to get a moment in the future when we not only learn that he is Fiorella's Father but that he could buy the whole Angeles empire with pocket change and Sergio will have to eat his scoff! Maybe Santino will even save the Angeles empire!

I'm glad Fifi and Petey are getting a chance to be lovey dovey instead of our having to endure one misunderstanding after the other but that warm and yummy Gael is quite a treat, isn't he?

Lila - thank you for the great recap! Or should I say "recrap" as MIVAC is back to the usual same-old same-old.

sara - Lila's recap is far better than the episode itself. Maybe the rehab place is in Paris, Texas? Naaaahhhh......

Perhaps my telenovela beanie hat is on too tight (thus cutting off dangerously high levels of oxygen from my brain) but I rather liked the Roxi scenes, both with the mini skirt and with the Gi. She is slowly becoming a human being, but the project is not finished yet.

The scene with Sergio holding that coffee mug, saucer, and conversing with Ju and Santino just screamed "Nescafe" TV ad to me. I don't know why. More likely there was whiskey in Sergio's cup.

Elo's reaction to 'Quina's Big Reveal seemed genuine. E may have suspected Max was the baby-daddy, but Q as the mom is a shock. Elo probably will deny it all rather than face reality.

I thought Reynaldo broke up with the Walking Dead because he lied about that fatal illness. QTH? Looks like they kissed and made up. (blech....bad word picture to paint...)

Well, I'm outta here and will hit the ground running. Y'all have a good day! I look forward to reading the other comments later today.

Brilliant recap, as always, Lila! I confess, I watched some of this on ffwrd, so I love having your recap fill in the details of any scene with Assvaldo, which I just don't watch.

One thing, Sergio didn't tell Pedro and Fi that Juli and Santi share a child-- just that they were once novios. That's why Fi was so shocked to overhear that, and why Pedro was so confused about them spending so much time together.

Can't believe Pedro is just going to go along with this Paris plan. Well, at least he continues to be firm with Aitana. What makes her think her play for him will work, when she knows HE knows she swindled his family and business!

Doris- I enjoyed the Rox mini skirt scene too. I laughed when Rey reminded Adela that she wore mini skirts back in her day too, and then complimented how well the polka dotted tights went with the outfit. The three of them together are a hoot.

Thank you, Lila! I loved the recap...but what are they doing to us with this show?

"Gael glides in and offers his sweet Gaelic comfort to Gianna." Still loving these two together. Maybe Gael needs to switch his major to something in mental health.

"I'm going to summarize this next part because it was personally maddening." You are not alone.

"...as if he were in a coma, or underage, or under Assvaldo's guardianship for crying out loud." Why is anybody listening to Osvaldo about anything?! Ugh!

sara-we're so on the same page about Pedro and his whining that the marriage "has" to stay a secret. No, no it doesn't!

doris - "More likely there was whiskey in Sergio's cup." I thought Irish coffee was fair game in the AM? No? Ooooooops!

Lila, another sparkling, scintillating recap.

"Pedro is used to being deprived of the rights of adulthood as this whole story demonstrates to us daily", "sweet Gaelic comfort" and "Eloisa's eyes lose the dull glint of scorn and fly open as does her mouth!"

My head is still spinning at Quina's revelation. Eloisa was truly shocked. Now, do we know that Max is definitely Roxi's father? I imagine that will be Eloisa's next question. It will be interesting to see what she does (if anything). I don't believe she holds Quina (or much of anyone) in high esteem, so will it matter?

I will echo your "The Pedro in Paris plan is dumb" Sara. Fiorella, Pedro and Sergio must band together. I mean Osvaldo has never come up with a good idea on his own. This needs to be investigated as suggested. Yes, daisy, I fear the not-so-miracle mop (ode to Joy Mangano) will tag along as well. Sigh.

Vitto refuses to believe anything bad about Diana but believed anything unsavory about Fiorella, even though none of it is true. Wonder if Diana is going to be able to extricate herself from Anibal?

Lila, thank you so much!

Diana

I’m not sure what Quina thought when she blurted out that she’s Roxi’s mama. Does she really think that will make Eloisa more sympathetic to Rox? Does she intend to also admit that Max was the father? If so, that REALLY won’t help her case with Eloisa. And if she doesn’t admit Max was the father, how does she explain how/why Max brought her and her daughter into Eloisa’s home and made up the story about Roxi being the kid of a dead relative? This is not going to end well. I only see her being kicked out of the house, along with Roxi.

Buongiorno e grazie, Doris! No, your beanie is not to tight. I think we're all ready for Roxi to become human. Benni seemed to have softened her up but she went back into bitch mode. I guess expecting a cold turkey swearing off of bitchiness is too much to expect.

So with Quina fessing up to being Roxi's mother, is Eloisa going to assume Maximo is the daddy. It doesn't necessarily follow. We'll see if the other shoe drops tonight.

Also, I think Gianna DOES have something to worry about. Unless I missed something, Gianna absolutely is not only adopted, but not Fiorella's blood sister, either! That's going to be a bigger shock than the adoption part. Are they going to just leave her parentage hanging? She DOES need all the Gaelic sweetness she can get!

Buongiorno e mille grazie, Vivi! I'll go back and fix that about what Sergio told Pedro and Fifi! Thanks!

Yah, I can let Pedro off the hook somewhat for going along with the plan. Afterall, he DID, have a closed head injury but what is Sergio's excuse. Letting Assvaldo research and find medical care for Pedro? SMH.

Lila- I don't think just because Fi is adopted means that Gi is adopted. There has been no evidence of this. Just Gi jumping to conclusions based on part of an overheard conversation. I think the other thing that got her thinking Fi was checking on Gi's birth is that the period of time for which the hospital file destroyed birth records goes from when Fi was born all the way to when Gi was born. If Gi were adopted, then her dad would have left her a letter too about her true parentage.

Diva! Girl, I don't know WHAT they're doing to us with this show! The dial the dumbness up and down with such abandon! I don't know, maybe people are like that in real life but we're certainly getting out share in this piece!

And how many opportunities have their been, how many times that the marriage has begged to be brought into the light of day. I'm surprised Fifi hasn't outted them but she's given Pedro her word. . .well, I guess one outting of a family secret at a time (looking at you, Quina) is the rule in the Angeles world!

Grazie tantissimo, Diana!

My head is still spinning at Quina's revelation. Eloisa was truly shocked. Now, do we know that Max is definitely Roxi's father?

That was well played, wasn't it? Yes, I hope they don't wimp out on this scene but Quina saying she is Roxi's daughter is a pretty clear statement. I don't see how they can back pedal out of that!

And Anibal. Hoo boy. I don't like his determination to wreak vengeance on Julieta. Teaming up with a bitter and equally vengeful Ramiro combined with the crappy, non existent security at El Rancho Angeles pretty much assures Julieta is in for a rough time soon. Ooo! I just had a terrible thought about Sergio! No! No! Yah he's a whiny, insecure, lush but still, perish the thought!

I agree, Vivi...the obvious response on Eloisa's part, to finding out Joaquina is Roxi's mother is "OK, then I don't want to see EITHER of you again!" Why not say she's Maximo's daughter and her mother is...some old friend who died?

Vivi re Quina's confession. ITA. Quina certainly knows that Eloisa jealously guards her own and the family image of Maximo as the noble and faithful patriarch of the Angeles family even moreso now that he has crossed over. She must surely know that this confession will not get Roxi back, or endear her to Eloisa, she was just desperate. Yah, she'll probably get kicked out, too AND when/if Roxi hears about this, she will really tear into Quina with a combination of disbelief, shock and disgust.

BUT, and it's a big but. What if Quina has some proof that Roxi is Maximo's and if so, won't Roxi be covered by whatever Maximo has outlined in the will?

And on Gianna. True, the letter did not say that Gianna was adopted. I'm imagining the couple to have been unable to conceive but, you're right, there is nothing in the story that states this. There still remains that it will be revealed they are not blood sisters and this will be a shock to them both but their love is so strong, I don't think the fallout will even last one episode.

"I guess one outting of a family secret at a time (looking at you, Quina) is the rule in the Angeles world!" Yeah, I'm over it...rip off the Band Aid already! Every time someone says "We can't tell her, she's too fragile" she ends up being fine. Even Fed's drops didn't kill her. She's too mean to die. Take advantage and tell her everything, I say. She'll be fine.

So hasn't the cover been that Rox's parents were part of the family? So Quina could cover and say that she had the girl with THAT dude? He's dead, how does he refute?

But all along, it seems Quina has wanted Rox to have her fair share of the good life and money, so I'm guessing she must have proof that at some point she intended to reveal after El kicked the bucket. How else would Rox get a dime?

I'm still having a hard time with this whole expert in Paris thing? if I was Petey I'd be asking for a second opinion. As it is, his hackles should go up if noone is allowed to accompany him to 'The airport" but Asshat. Dude, there is no airport, no plane, no Paris. There is a ditch on the side of the road however. You are a CEO of a company, the paper said so ( swear they put that in to remind us this guys did have a job and was supposedly good at it--brain cells did fire at one time), so take deep breaths and work this out. Should you really be buying what this idiot is selling??

Wonder when Freddie and Sonia find out about this if they at least will add up 2 + 2 and know something is not right.

Daisynjay

Amen, Daisy:

I'm still having a hard time with this whole expert in Paris thing? if I was Petey I'd be asking for a second opinion. As it is, his hackles should go up if noone is allowed to accompany him to 'The airport" but Asshat. Dude, there is no airport, no plane, no Paris. Lol...that's awesome! Maybe Anibal can loan him that warehouse. And Nurse Aitana can take care of him with a fake French accent.

Ew, I just grossed myself out.

Can someone explain the whole Maximo's will thing to me. I stopped watching fairly early on, but this has been mentioned a few times. Max kicked the bucket. Everyone went merrily along for a year after her died. Then Eloisa finally decided to read the will, which said...that the family all had to live together at the ranch for a year, and THEN Eloisa could decide how to split up the money between herself, Federica, Sergio, Pedro, Assvaldo (and spouse), Gael, and Roxi? Am I missing something? What's the point of making them live together for a year if El still gets to be the decider at it all depends on her whim and who she likes or doesn't like from one day to the next?

It was probably more like a few months before she read the will. And the only thing the will said was that it was all Eloisa's, which is why they now have to wait for HER to die to inherit anything. The "live together for a year" was not an official part of the will, it was just something Maximo requested in a letter, where he also said he hoped Eloisa would use the inheritance to right a bunch of wrongs.

That probably doesn't help, because now it sounds even more stupid.

Kat- LOL! Yeah. I do think it was a year since the death though, because I remember in the first episodes Eloisa had the mass for Max, and spoke about how broken up she was about Max being gone.

So, Max left his kids, niece, and grandkids (legit and illegit) unprotected, and gave it all to Eloisa? That was dumb. And did he detail what the wrongs she was supposed to right are? So far, we just know he swindled (and killed) his brother, so it seems she should get on giving Federica a big share of the wealth and be done with it. I would think legitimizing Rox would be one of the things he'd be concerned about, but he has left both her, and his ex-lover Quina unprotected and at Eloisa's mercy. What a jerk!

Nope, Maximo never said a word. At least Mario left a letter with actual information in it! Granted, he left it with Vitto, but how was he to know that Vitto would turn out to be such a creep?

Yah, the whole "will" thing is pretty lame, isn't it. I think I was giving it more structure and logic in my mind than was ever there in the story! So it's all about "will" Granny or won't she give me any doe? Dang. Fits right in with the dog and pony show and the dead end trip to Paris!

Hell, she could leave it all to the dog. If she had one. Where'd that dog from the other day go? Where did the horse go? Why are the answers to those questions far more interesting than the allegedly important things happening on the show?

Diva. We have got to be the most devoted Patio in the history of Caray! We hang on by the fingernails with these people and we try to make the senseless make sense. I know after Petey and Fifi got married my recap was filled with pitiful and hopeful yappings about hwo they show's going to get REALLY good now. I don't hate it, don't get me wrong, but when a bunch of smart people like all of y'all on the Patio start looking too closely at the pretty facade, we begin to find all these holes and crazy patchwork!

If I wasn't recapping it, I'd either not be watching at all, or I'd pick one day a week and just watch that day to make the pace more bearable. I'm really not good at just letting my mind drift when I have to pay attention so I can faithfully report (and snark on!) the goings-on.

Hey, before I get hate mail...anyone's welcome to help!

I'm late I know but gotta thank you Lila for doing this. Don't know what happened, I never fall asleep before 11 but ate some chocolate after dinner and zonk, I missed most of it, so thanks.

"Roxi comes in and blurts out that Giana is adopted in a questioning tone as if she's asking if Gianna has an STD"

"Pedro says the most important thing is that they know they love each other"
No it isn't dumbass. That's what me and Mike N...s told each other in 8th grade and found out pretty darned quick being able to come and go as we pleased and see who we pleased trumped everything.

That was really stupid of Quina.

Oh shut up Vitto you big baby.

tofie, my brain filled that in all wrong and I'm sitting here thinking "You dated Mike Nesmith? Damn, you go girl!"

Hahaha, oh I wished, he was cute and I liked him better than Davey Jones. Actually, I was in love with David Cassidy but he didn't know I existed so went more earthly with a boy on the football team. It worked during football season since I was a cheerleader but when it ended so did the sweaty palmed hand holding.

Lol...well, Pedro and Fi seem to work well as illicit lovers, but the minute someone talks about going public...um...well...we can't you see, because...the timing isn't right...Benigno...the deal with the Japanese company...gramma's in poor health...I have to wash my hair tonight and it takes forever to dry and I simply can't tell everyone about our marriage with wet hair (and that last one's totally Pedro)! Hey, kids, if sneaking around is more fun for you, then have at it, but don't gimme "We caaaaaaaaan't tell!"

When Diana found out, last night, that Anibal was married, it threw me for a loop. I thought that had already been revealed.

Didn't Diana find out Anibal was married right before or around the time he landed in jail? Or did I dream that one? (tight beanie hats can do that, ya know)

I thought I remembered her knowing already...there was a phone call? And him maybe doing the "But you're the one I love, baby" thing?

Did they actually get divorced, or did she just figure him being in jail was enough? And why has nobody bothered to inform her that he's out, considering he kidnapped her?

Diva - I doubt the police are required to tell a victim (Julieta), when the perp has been let out on good behavior or whatevs. I cannot recall if the divorce ever became final.

BUT ... I feel better that you remembered her knowing he had someone else before last night's episode. I thought that's why she was so mad at Anibal the first time he called her from the jail; because he had double-timed her. Maybe she just thought it was another lover and not a wife?

Mass hallucination? Yep, I remember it being on that call from jail, too.

And last night, when he said "But I was thinking of you every time I was holding my wife!" I thought "You mean, every time you were holding one of your girlfriends." 'cause I don't know that there was all that much "holding" going on with him and Julieta!

Lila thank you for this mine bustin recap.

Hey, Tofie! 'Sawright! Mille grazie, girl! Yah, Quina's going to so catch it tonight! I actually can't wait!

Diva at 3:14 HA! ;D

Doris at 4:04 You're not alone in your confusion. I'm sure Diana knew!

Nina! Grazie, hon! Should be good tonight. I bet that Quina will go for broke but the writers may have her chicken out!

I just have to say that despite all the flaws, MIVAC has a great opening song. This is the first show where I really liked the song but didn't care much for the actual show.

I LOVE the song, Sara, and it actually helps me with the show!

Thank you for the recap Lila.
I wonder what the fall out from Joaquiana's confession will be. I don't understand how she thinks giving that information will help Roxi's plight.

Fiorella's scene with her parents was cute, I hope they can mend their relationships well.

I can't believe that no one thought to verify the doctor recommendation before deciding to send a blind person to an unfamiliar place. The writers are probably using this plot line to break the main couple up.

Elora

Lila thanks so much for the recaps, been catching up and mostly by reading your and Diva's recaps thanks.
