Tres Veces Ana #39and/or #44 - Lots of Lies While Planning The Next Play

Ramiro, Santiago, aka Marcelo/SanMarco, and Iñaki, continue to play musical mujeres in order to keep the triplets from seeing each other.

Ram keeps Ana Leticia entertained—or is it the other way around since she’s going through a seductive striptease, while SanMarco admits to poor AnaLucia in Yaki’s bedroom(?) that he’s still in love with his wife as well as her now and it’s too complicated to explain.  She, no longer feeling so lucky, tells him that she appreciates his honesty, but not to come looking for her again until he decides he’s going to get that divorce he promised her.  Ana NSLucky leaves, thinking to race into the other apartment to Ram for comfort but, then decides not to, and gets into the elevator instead.  Ram, meantime, admits to Ana MiMi the purely physical attraction he cannot control.  He suggests it’s the physical similarity to her sister, Ana Laura.  MiMi snickers and says well, since she’s thrown you over for that wheelchair bound loser, Valentin, Ram might as well have taken advantage of her attraction to him.  Oh well, Ram’s loss, she taunts as the clothes go back on.  Doesn’t he realize they both have a second chance at happiness.  He is the only one who could make her whole again and take away the horrible bitterness she felt when Marcelo left her to her fate three years earlier.  Ram tells her to hold her tongue.

Ø    Ana Llora shows up and walks into Ram’s apartment just as Yaki shows up to check on things.   Santi sees and hides.  A Llora finds Ram and needs to chat.  He takes a moment to signal to Yaki that he’s got MiMi in his bedroom and to handle her while he chats up A Llora. Yaki entertains MiMi for Ram while he takes care of ALlora. He tells her A Llora showed up looking for Ram.  “—What’s between those two –A Laura and Ramiro?”  She tells him it’s none of his beeswax.  “—A bit jealous, huh?”
Ø
A Llora thinks that he can make a good impression on Abuela Ernestina by showing her the ID bracelet Ram gave her. Santi listens from behind the door.  (A Llora’s voice is sooooo frail- she’s so enervated--in this scene that her voice and presence practically drives me up the wall. I cannot stand this character ANYmore.  Period.)  Ram doesn’t agree, but they can discuss it over lunch.  She refrains, but he insists that he knows the rules now that she’s with TinTin, and it would only be as friends.  She agrees to go then.  (--Good, cuz I don’t think I could stomach her much longer and would have to give up on her scenes today……)  SanMarco sneaks into the hallway of Ram’s apartment now.

Yaki and MiMi walk into the living room and she’s angry that Ram left with her sister.  What’s the big deal? He told you he’s been in love with her his entire life.”  That’s a lie, she insists.  ALlora turns her back on him and he refuses the opportunity to tell AMimim how much he really likes her.  She complains he’s only a opportunist, chasing after their money.  Just like him.  Yaki notes Santi in the doorway and signals to stay covered.  He stutters he doesn’t have the slightest interest in her.  They can’t stand each other anyway, right?  “You even detest me, don’t you?” Yep, she does.  But, oh, she’ll tell him the same as she told Ramiro (in what universe?) that Marcelo was and still is the only man in her life.  Yaki agrees.  “--That’s fine.  Ok.  Bye.”  She calls him boring, turns her nose up and leaves.  Yaki breathes easier.  He makes excuses to SanMarco that he doesn’t know where she gets these crazy ideas from.  He can’t stand her—and it’s less and less by the day.

Ø    A NSLucky cries all the way home.

Ø    Soledad gets a chance to ask Viridiana, the dress shop owner, if Sr. Mariano Alvarez del Castillo, was a regular friend or not.  She insists he’s only a business acquaintance that she’ll never cross paths with again.  Sole is relieved.  Mariano has different ideas, however.

Ø    Now Sra. Miranda, the cardiologist’s wife, is visiting Erni.  She’s just set up an anonymous chat on a singles’ site. Erni’s ex fiancé, Rodrigo, aka Rich Rod, has answered just as anonymously, Miranda’s post.   In walks Dr. Bernardo to his office.  Rich Rod asks after Erni’s health, though insisting he’s not really interested—just heard and wondered about it all.  Bernie tells him she’ll be fine.  By the way, Miranda insists he stays with them as their house guest while his hotel condo is finished being built.  He refuses…for now.

P Soledad returns home and is greeted by Remedios who at this point has one for Sole: let Ana Lucia live her own life.  She’s grown up and it’s about time Sole lets go of the chain she’s put around A Now Not So Lucky’s so call life.  Orly hears the two women in the hall chatting and takes an illicit listen.

Sole blames herself for all the current problems.  She ought to have gone somewhere else where nobody would have known them.  Rem says you can’t pack all your troubles away and hide them in a suitcase.

At the restaurant, A Llora thinks better of asking Ram to show the bracelet to her abue.  She agrees with him that it might just make her more anxious and wouldn’t be good for her health.   She chats with Ram about all the people they’ve lost recently.  A Llora wonders what might have been if he were still alive.  Ram swallows hard and keeps mum.

Leonora keeps Ernestina company.  TinTin rolls in to greet her and pay his respects.  He talks Leonora into going down to the cafeteria for coffee.  He pumps Erni for information about her having seen Marcelo.  He wonders if the man really is still alive.  She says it can’t be and she had to have made a mistake.  Did TinTin know him?  Tin Tin remembers being bullied by Marcelo and threatened to leave Mo alone from now on or else!!  “Naw.  Just interested in the strange circumstances,And, I’v heard so much about him from Ana Laura, his sister-in-law, and all, ” he lies.

Orly greets ANNSLucky at the gate and gives her a shoulder to cry on.  He tries kissing her after that.  The spirit has moved him—but, apparently still not Ana Lucia.  She screams at him never to put a hand on her again!  He swears his eternal and undying love for her but to no advantage (natch) and he wanders off.

Poor SanMarco, meanwhile, however, doesn’t know who he is when he looks in the mirror.  He feels horrible about breaking the heart of the one sister and not having the courage to face the other, his wife.  Yaki pretends to sympathize.

Maribel sees Orlando kissing Ana Lucia and jealousy finally gets the better of her.   BFF?  Hell you say!  She now greets ANNSL with a gigantic slap and lets go of all the rancor and envy she’s carried all her life long.

Back at the hospital Erni explains it was all her imagination and that she doesn’t dare tell her granddaughters or fear of upsetting them both.  We learn that Leo was the servant while Erni was the patron’s daughter.  The two are like sisters (which in this universe ain’t all it’s held up to be…..)  Ana Lu denies any interest in Orly.  Bel-what-ain’t accuses her of wallowing in others’ admiration—especially Orly’s.  Bel-the-Bestia has always had to play second fiddle to her and she’s sick and tired of it all.

SanMarco admits to Yaki how he hid from sight and is undecided about whether to return to his wife, Ana MiMi or not.  Yaki suggests he and Ana Lucky high-tail it in his taxito and head for the hills, never to return again.  (Of course, that would leave Ana MiMi for hi-hi-him, now wouldn’t it?) But, she misses him and still loves him!  Even Yaki heard how much.  It’s time he tell the truth to her about his loss of his memory.  Yaki says he’s not thinking things through enough.  After all, He’s not still yet been totally honest with Ana Lucky about her sister being his wife and with A Mim, How’s he going to admit that the other woman he’s madly in love with now is her other sister--not to mention her missing triplet…..After twenty years apart, they’ll hate each other all because of him.  Is that really what Santi wants?

Bellowing Bel asks why A Lucky always has to think she deserves more than the rest of them, that she’s better than the rest of them all?  Why?  (Maybe because she is?  Most tn heroins are.  That’s what bein’ an alpha female is all about, right?)

Yaki insists fleeing his past and taking up with Ana Lucia is the better thing to do.  “--After all, it’s been three years you’ve been out of Ana Letiia’s life and she’s almost ready to get over your death and start life over again.  Let her.  Why leave Ana Lucia hanging?”  Santi has been given a lot to mull over, not to mention a pass from his BFF, Yaki, to take the high (or the lower, depending on how you in Viewerville may see it) road.  (I say, “Giddyap, son!”)

Last night was a bit of a doozy. I'm going cross-eyed with the near-misses. It was fun though seeing the 3 amigos playing with a not-so shuffled deck.

Btw still unsure how to access messages, Ria. But I typed up a summary of last night's epi to practice my blogging, and not sure if I should post it for some opinions until Jardinera gets hers up. Let me know, ladies.

Jardinera, I just realized you're typing up 2 posts! Dios, that's a load on you. Let me know if you need help, my summary may not be that good though but could hopefully offer you a refresher :)

Anna, so I sent you a message via google, and just tried sending another one with my email address. Let me know if you still didn't get it, otherwise respond to it with your email address or send me an email to get started!

I haven't seen any messages and I can't email you because when I click on your profile, it tells me profile access denied. I can't stand Google+ and am incredibly confused with how to use it. I'm going to post my email here and hope you can see it. I'll delete it once you respond that you got it....

Got it Anna. You should see something come through in your email now!

Awesome, I just seen it. I'll wait on further instruction, unless you need me to do anything in particular....

The most interesting bit for me was Ernestina's friend putting her on a dating website and Ernestinas reactions.

Carvivlie, agreed that was entertaining! How about Leonor emphasizing that while they grew up close with Ernestina, Leonor was definitely not the daughter of rich parents. Could they be half-sisters?

Anna, you are good for now and hopefully will be all ready for next week.

Ria, Leonore definitely made sure to say she was daughter of the servants. Would be interesting if she is the illegitimate daughter of Ern's father. Would explain their closeness and why Leo still works there after all of these years and more like a member of the family.

Yeah, there was definitely something to Leonore making a point to say she was no more than the daughter of the servants, and Ernestina made an annoyed face. Maybe we'll finally discover what Leonor's sad secret is. I have noticed that Leonor sometimes sits at the dining table to have meals with the family.

I also wonder whether she is an illegitimate half-sister. There is a precedent or two for this.

Dating website without Ernestina's permission? I'd think twice about a friend who does that.

OT: if you like police/crime dramas, you may like the Spanish tv production "El Príncipe" nightly on Unimás 9:00 (repeated at 11:00) Central Time. I am hooked. )

Jardinera thanks for the recap, I especially liked AnaNotSoLucky she's really having quite a day isn't she.

"(I say, “Giddyap, son!”)" So say we all.

oh Maribel, why let yourself get tied in knots like that hon, its not worth it, Javi is much nicer.

Thank you, Jardinera, for the wonderful recap. Good comment about "alpha females" and Ana Lucía but she should have proved it by returning the slap, not acting so cowered in the face of Maribel, and leaving the scene ASAP.

I am most sick of slimy Orlando all over Ana Lucía but again she needs to stop sending mixed messages already.

I do feel sorry for Santiago who is paralyzed from not knowing his own story. I think he should take Iñaki's advice: take Ana Lucía and his taxi and get out of Dodge--so to speak.

I am not looking forward to double episodes. It could be too much of a good thing.

Thanks, Jardinera, this was great and very entertaining. Musical mujeres was a very apt description!

It's interesting how Ana Le manages to say how much she is relieved she is no longer married to Marcelo and how difficult the marriage has been for her to everyone, including herself, except in situations where Marcelo is listening in. She manages to say exactly what the loving doting wife will say then. Writer's ploy to delay the big reveal, but still.... can we please have the memory back and, while we are asking for things, also stop playing near misses? Probably not for a while....

Did not quite understand Ramiro's kiss with Ana Le - was he trying to prevent her from going out into the living room only and was there no other way to accomplish that?

Maribel is becoming insoportable. And yet Ana Lu continues to tolerate her...

Thanks again, Jardinera!!

Thank you Jardinera for the wonderful recap!
As this is my first time commenting, let me also say thanks to everyone who makes these recaps available I've been lurking for a while, Ana is the first telenovela I'm watching in 'real time' so to speak, so I finally worked up the courage to comment. I've mostly been watching older ones on Netflix and Hulu. This blog was indispensable while I was getting through Lo Que La Vida Me Robo.
As for this episode... it felt very contrived. I liked all the action, but didn't feel any of it really moved the plot along. I loved how Inaki had to deny his interest in, and seduction of, AnaLe because he knew Marcelo was hanging on every word. I loved how nervous he was.
Ernestina with the dating site was great too. I think it is the perfect plot device, for the two to fall in love again anonymously, then deal with the reality of it. Nice story for abuela.
I have a feeling AnaLaura's irritating manner of speaking and tone of voice is here to stay, unfortunately. It seems like one of those character traits that Angie uses to differentiate the Anas.
I'm still wondering about Leonora's secret. Now we know she is a second generation employee for the family, Ernestina must know her secret if they have been close since forever. I think that look she gave her was just because she doesn't like Leonora to think she is below her, she considers them friends and equals.
Marcelo needs to encounter a memory reviving trigger post-haste. Preferably of Evaristo's murder attempt after the crash, with the disclosure of his wife's involvement. While what he is doing right now is mostly motivated by his own fears and heartbreak over AnaLu, the longer he waits to take any action, the more I can hold out hope that he will realize the true nature of his wife before coming out of hiding.
Once again thanks to everyone in this community!

Thanks, Jardinera. Great coverage of all the near misses of sisters spotting each other. Fun seeing Inaki squirming and lying to Ana Leticia that he has no interest in her cause he knew Santi was listening in.

Can't wait to see Ana Leticia blow up if/when her tio and the shopper owner become a thing. Loved her telling him she was busy with work and had no time for convo with him. He's clearly not used to that.

Welcome, Strangefire! The more comments and opinions the better. That is what makes this so much fun. : )

Welcome, Strangefire! Glad you'll be watching with Caray in real time. I'm feeling sorry for Santi/Marcelo because his indecision is making him look wimpy. He won't commit to Ana Laura, but he won't come out of the shadows for Ana Leticia. Wishy washy is not sexy. Hope Ramiro at least hints to him that Ana Le is not worth all his anguish.

Thanks so much Jardinera! Couldn't believe they stretched out this sisters in one apartment plot into a second episode. I could picture the writers sitting in a room for hours, thinking hard about how to get all three sisters into the same place, yet keep them apart.

Welcome, Strangefire! I agree, it was contrived.

I did worry that when SantMarc heard Ana Leticia saying Ramiro was after HER and her sister for their money, that it would start up his distrust of Ramiro all over again. Don't care if he distrusts Inaki because Inaki IS after her for her money and is trying to keep SantMarc from Ana Leticia for his own benefit. Although he is very amusing while doing it.

I also don't get 1) Why Ana Lucia didn't slap Maribel back, and 2)Why Ana Lucia stood around and listened to Orlando and Maribel's verbal diarrhea after they showed her they were NOT her friends.

Oops, I meant "won't commit to Ana Lucia." Did like that Ana Lucia demanded that Santi give it to her straight. Not that he did, it'll be interesting to see how she'll move on.

Bellowing Bel, Yaki, Musical Mujeres...as always, a style all your own Jardinera. Thanks.

Not happy that this telenovela is slated to run so long. I think we're going to have many plodding, contrived episodes, as Strangefire noted (let me join with the others in saying Welcome!).

However, I'll be happy to see a little AARP romance for Abuela. She is so much more attractive than when she played in Eva Luna. Better hairdo and seems to be more sculpted looking.

Happy Monday everyone...it's super-muggy here. Tried a little yardwork this morning and gave up even quicker than usual!

Hi all! Thanks for stopping in.
Welcome to Strangefire and Anna Nabil and the courage to stick your oars into the weekend pot o' stewing.
Contrivance is 2nd nature to tn writers. Sometimes it works and most times we know it for exactly what it is as well as for what it ain't....... Anyway, I am tiring of SanMarco's indecision, but he's still only partially revived from the would be dead. Guess we have to learn a little tolerance here from our side of Viewerville.

Anna thanks for the offer. I will keep it in mind if we really are going to have 2 hrs a night again!!!!! Ugh! It's all I can do to watch on hour some days, let alone marathon it for 10 hrs a week. Say it ain't so.

I know I am old, but I do love the way Eric del Castillo is playing the old fashioned stereotypical gumshoe of a crooked detective. He has been anything but disappointing this time around.

I think I will try out El Principe for weekend grins. Thanks for the heads up, Jarifa. It may be worth the effort to improve my understanding of the Castiliano accent.....

Man, I struggle with that accent too Jardinera. Have to turn the sound waaay up to even get it.

Jardinera, it is on M-F but is on my OnDemand.

JudyB: Yup! Man and I thought the French talk fast!! I will need immersion classes for sure if I ever get over there. =;>[)

Jarifa: I finally have UniMas On Demand. I will be using that and plenty of CC assist for sure!! Looks good. For the first time in years I have to rewind 2-3 times to hear the accent. It's definitely Costa del Sol/Andalucian. Like Southerners from backwoods LA on steroids in Spanish!! Je-je-je!!!

I imagine that while growing up, Soledad probably cautioned Ana Lucia not to make any waves and don't bring any unwanted attention. Slapping bullies back and starting feuds brings attention, which Soledad doesn't want.

Ana Lucia needs to not talk to Maribel about anything ever again and watch her back at Danzaire. Maribel is a "Nomi Malone" in the making. If anyone talked to me like that (or hit me), that would be the last time.

Ana Lucia also needs to distance herself from Orlando. She's told him to back off and he keeps on. Confide in Remedios or Tadeo from now on.

Maribel's hatred of Ana Lucia will go off the charts when she learns Ana Lucia is an heiress from a very wealthy family.

This episode was a bit fun for me tho. Not sure if it was b/c I was practicing my blogging, or b/c this epi had alotta turbulence. Even the opening sequence was funny w/ Ana Letonta auditioning for Victoria Secret. She revels in the power she puts over men, so I love that Ram reassures her that nope, that IS his wallet & he's NOT happy to see her. My fave part is when she puts her dress back on & turns to him for some help. Ramiro apparently isn't compelled to sign her booty this time, just zip her dress. Seems like he's always the concierge of all things near & rear to Leticia.

Inaki is growing on me even more, he definitely makes things more comical. Especially the exchange b/w him & Ram about the "file" he left on his bed lol. Then his mini-tantrum about her leaving him alone w/ the wine bottle. Funny, considering he did the same to her not even 5 min before (in previous epi).

It bugs me to no end how Letonta is always saying the right things whenever Santicelo is w/in earshot. At least we got to see Rodrigo tell Bernardo that he's over Ernestina & wants nada to do w/ her. Good for him! Finally a sensible character w/ the proper reaction!

Btw on my practice blog I wrote: "Miranda puts Ernestina on Tinder & we see Ernestina get a message. She's excited & swipes right"...

Lol, if this were a comedy then this^ scene would've been perfect. I like that Miranda assures she didn't post any photos, especially of Erny in her hospital gown (which if you ask me, is an improvement to her usual attire). I'm predicting Rodrigo is her secret admirer....or some pimp. Crossing my fingers it's Evaristo & we get a juicier plotline. I'm already 'shipping, and picking out names. Ernaristo? Evertina? Place your bets, mujeres.

And I'm glad Lu finally stuck up for herself b/c Nastibel is a real pendeja (exqueeze my french dressing). I was wondering if she was oblivious, but turns out she just held her tongue all this time. The worst part was when she slapped her...on the same cheek! The writers couldn't even let Lu heal a day at least? Smh
