Tres Veces Ana - #80 - Next time please serve Valium at your party!

We start this perfect length episode (with an added bonus of no repeat scenes!) with Ana Le rudely inquiring if stunned Sole is mute or deaf, or neither, in which case would she please answer her question on Viridiana’s whereabouts. Sole manages to mumble something on Viri being right back. Ana Le wants to know Sole’s position here – it is seamstress. Yes, that is obvious, contemptuously spits out Ana Le. Sole is offered sweet relief from this most unexpected company when Viri comes out, and Ana Le runs out to congratulate her. Sole scurries away to worry in the backroom in front of Ceci. She is trembling and in a whiny voice proclaims that she has a bad feeling, and wants to go home to her daughter.

With Sole out of their earshot, Ana Le wants to know if this seamstress is any good, and if she is, Viri must send her along with the dress to make it fit just right, since all that money was paid by Tio to make Ana Le happy. (I would probably not be remiss in my estimation that the entire viewership of this TN would like to offer a suggestion to take a pair of scissors to this dress to make it really stand out…or stand down.) Viridiana calls Ana Le out on making TioM spend so much money on this dress. Ana Le uses this opportunity to bring up Claudia, who was bidding against them, and since TioM had a past with her, he was trying to outbid. Viri somehow looks like she has Ana Le’s number.

Meanwhile Mariano runs into said Claudia outside and looks like he barely remembers her. There is a round of introductions – Claudia to Erni, Erni to Claudia, Erni to Nerina and vice versa. Erni thinks Nerina looks familiar, but they can’t quite decide where they met. Claudia uses the opportunity to let them chat and steals Mariano away to catch up. Erni invites Nerina to sit down with her, and it looks like Nerina’s dream of getting closer to Ana Lu’s real family is about to come true.

Ana Lu is at the pension telling Rem the harrowing story of encountering Marcelo. Ana Lu is terrified of how cold and strange that man seemed to her.  Rem is scared about this Jekyll-Hyde personality split, and now thinks she should have taken Santi to the doctors.  There must be a pill for that, reasons Remedios. (You might be thinking about a different pill, Rem, but those are only 99% effective and your Mr. Hyde and Ana Lu might already be on their way to that 1%, as well as to making it to Urban’s list of clichés).

Nerina and Erni bond in the meantime. Erni tells her all about the terrible accident, loss of her daughter, Llora’s disability and Ana Lu’s disappearance. Nerina reminds Erni where Erni knows her from. Erni is delighted to make acquaintance of such a wonderful singer, who moved everyone to tears, even Llora’s friend Tin. Tin, you say? Now Nerina is moved to tears.

Santicelo and his over-gelled hair return to the mansion. He inquires about Ana Le and Leonor, who is not at all surprised to see him in a Marcelo mode, tells him she is at the fashion show. The RoboCop is off to get some sleep, but – one moment – he needs to first remind Leonor that what happened between her and his father should never happen again. Don’t worry, says Leonor, she knows her place. Do you really? – Marcelo wants to know, and it seems like they are talking about two different “places”. (Could Marcelo know what his papi is up to and disapprove?)

Ana Lu is still at it with her futile search for the box, with Rem helping her “find” the box that is actually peacefully sitting in Rem’s closet. Defeated, Ana Lu gives up the search, but declares she will keep her mouth shut until she has the evidence in hand, and only then will confront Sole.  Little does she know she just spilled her entire plan to Sole’s confidante.

Mariano and Claudia catch up. He figured out from Nerina’s last name that this is Claudia’s mother. They discuss that they have grown apart and haven’t seen each other in years. Claudia declines to discuss further. She also asks for an apology. Mariano feels like it is him, who is owed an apology, after that glass of wine in the face. After a couple minutes of prodding and beating around the bush, Claudia gets it out of him that Jennifer is dead. Claudia caresses TioM to console him, and Ana Le points that out to Viridiana, who is standing next to her. It’s Viri’s good luck that she doesn’t have anything going on with Tio - he is a terrible womanizer, always has been and will never change. A woman needs to love him with all his defects, otherwise she will be disappointed. Subtle as a ton of bricks that one.

Ram, Llora and the gruesome twosome of Tin and Valeria crashing their date, are all having dinner. Tin wants to start planning for the upcoming music night benefit, but Llora expresses her doubt in being ready to play in public after her last experience. Ram is fidgety and really wants this musical night with Tin not to happen, so he suggests that Llora doesn’t need to play if she doesn’t want to. Tin points out Ram should support Llora by helping her overcome her fears. Ram loses boyfriend points and digs himself in deeper, as he refuses to give up on his stubborn fit of jealousy.  Tin, meanwhile,  continues to play a therapist to him and Llora and explains about understanding Llora’s insecurities and helping her with them. Finally Tin plays the disabled card, leaving Ramiro in the dust in this particular race.

Rodrigo figured out Miranda’s plan to “accidentally” run into Erni and he is on board. Meanwhile Erni is all but taken with Nerina.  They soon change to familiar ‘tu’, and Erni invites Nerina to her house this coming Saturday to take tea with her and Llora. Nerina realizes Llora knows her already, but she made such strides in her plan of a detective and so she takes the card anyway. A couple seconds later Erni is dragged away by the matchmaker Miranda.

Elsewhere at the pension Rem is losing it over having to keep the secret from Sole’s box, but convinces herself that she promised and so she must.

Sole is still being brought to her senses, this time by Viri, while Ceci went back to work. Viridiana offers to present Sole to the guests as one of the key collaborators, but Sole declines. Miranda and Erni show up right then and Sole is introduced to Erni. The reunion of the sisters is lukewarm, marked only by a noticeable gulp that pale Sole takes upon realizing this is a woman that she stole a little girl from. Erni calls Sole a well-kept secret. Sole only hears the word secret and is all ears. Secret? What secret? Oh, oh, you meant I was the secret. No-no, not any secret, just a seamstress. She excuses herself, after pointing out that she needs to finish up and get back to the daughter she adores, and when she leaves the women decide they made her nervous. They discuss Sole’s wonderful qualities as a mother.

Ana Le and Mariano discuss the amount of money he spent on the dress. Mariano hopes Ana Le will at least wear it. He wants to go says congrats to Viri, but Ana Le is not to be left alone. Just then Rodrigo shows up and Ana Le’s antenna is up – she knows his appearance here is connected to her grandmother. She asks TioM who that is and, when told, ventures a guess that he knows Abue from some time ago. Ana Le wants to go meet him and Mariano uses this to excuse himself and finally go see Viri.

Ana Le is off to approach Abue, Rodrigo and company, who are awkwardly conversing at the moment. Miranda remarks on the destiny and chance that brought them all together. Ernestina does not buy this story: some chance! Erni also didn’t know Rodrigo owned hotel. She gives him a quick low-down of her situation: three granddaughters, triplets, from her daughter that Rod never met. Just then Ana Le joins the conversation and wants to know where Abue and Rod met. Rod almost spills the beans about being Erni’s BF, but is stopped by her intent gaze and corrects himself.

Viri is thanking her helpers - Sole and Ceci. Sole is chomping at the bit to get home and declines to stay for the glass of wine. Ceci is tired too and wants to go home, so she offers to drive Sole, and proceeds to try Sole’s patience by dawdling over some chores and asking Sole to smile. Meanwhile Nerina walks in looking for someone, sees Sole and the latter looks like she is ready to hit something with all of these surprises coming at her tonight. Nerina quickly leaves and Sole and Ceci are right behind her.

Mariano finally finds Viri to offer his congratulations on the successful show. They banter a bit about Claudia – Viri looks somewhat jealous, even if she didn’t let on as much during her conversation with Ana Le. Mariano tries to dismiss it by saying he is not even interested in Claudia – indeed the only woman he has eyes for is…. But Viri will not let him finish. To top it off she declares that she will personally deliver the dress to Ana Le, because Ana Le needs to be spoiled apparently judging by Mariano’s behavior. He tries to deny it and cover his actions of spending all the money with the good cause this money is going towards. Viri, though, astutely points out Ana Le is vying for attention and Mariano has just enabled her getting it. Hats off to Viri. She may yet stay alive through the end of the TN even with Ana Le on the loose!

Sole is finally home and excited to unburden herself with Remedios, who has been waiting up. Before Sole can explain though how much of a horrible, terrible, no-good of a night she had with all of those relatives of Ana Lu she had to see, Rem unloads the news of Ana Lu knowing about Sofia and that’s more than Sole can handle for one night and she faints.

Nerina is brought back home by the soul-less Claudia, who wants to know if this big pension is Nerina’s, which would mean she hid property during their court proceedings. Knowing Nerina only rents a room there calms Claudia. Nerina wants to know when she can see her daughter again, and the answer is never. Claudia will never forgive, and will also not give her Tin’s address, though the one thing she will do is ask Tin if he wants to see Nerina. Claudia rubs some more salt on the wound by pointing out it’s been six years that Tin has been in a wheelchair and Nerina didn’t care. Why start now?

Claudia takes a dramatic exit by asking Nerina not to be such a drama queen, and so Nerina finally comes in to the house, where Rem is still trying to revive Sole. The two of them join forces, and Sole finally comes to and is taken back to Rem’s room. Nerina is feeding her some water, while Rem is off to make tea. As soon as Sole regains some consciousness, she wants to know what Nerina was doing at the fashion show. Nerina does not deny she was there to meet Ana Lu’s family, but she wants to help Sole find a solution. Sole is asking her to get out in no uncertain terms, as she does not trust her any more. Nerina then tells her own drama story of meeting Claudia, her daughter, who still hates her. Rem comes back to the room in the middle of this dark share moment and awkwardly stands with a cup of tea.

Tin is back at his place remembering the night right after Ram broke into his house. It was Claudia, who he called and who came to help. She pointed out he needed to get rid of all the pictures and clean up. This unwanted guest could bring Llora and Mariano any day and too much was at stake for that to happen. (We wonder what game these two are playing together – whatever it is no doubt it is somehow connected with Ev’s master plan.) According to Claudia, Tin had nothing to offer to Gina and so she left him. He still doesn’t have anything to offer to a woman, even though he is with Llora. And please stop drinking, Tin – at least you will only provoke pity, and not disgust. (Gem of a sister here for sure).

Back at the pension, Remedios’s CPU is at 100% with everything going on. She tells her own story of the day of encountering Marcelo, his cold stare and feeling as if she meant nothing to this stranger. (Man, everybody in that room had some sort of kid drama this episode.) What was Marcelo doing there? He came to tell Ana Lu about Sofia. Sole starts panicking all over again and hyperventilating over finding an explanation for Ana Lu. Rem spills the beans on Ana Lu’s plan to keep quiet and look for evidence. It’s Sole’s turn to share and she tells them about meeting Ana Le and Erni, and the decision she made just now – she will take Ana Lu, by force if necessary, and they will leave this place forever, never to be found again!

Great work, Ria.

Sometimes I honestly don't know how to feel about Mariano. He's been a womanizer his whole adult life, may have an illegitimate child or three somewhere, and yet is utterly clueless on how Ana MeMeMe is always coming on to him. When the hell is anyone going to call his attention to this? When is anyone going to call her out on her sick behavior?

So it was Claudia who helped Valentin clean up his place. They're obviously looking to fleece Ernestina out of her fortune. They both belong in hell. The restaurant meal he spent with Ana Llorona and Ramiro was horrible.

Of course Ana MeMeMe was going to snub Soledad; nobody needed an oracle to see that was coming. This is what Ana MeMeMe needs to do to make herself feel better. Because she is a nothing and a nobody. She has nothing but a pretty package wrapped around garbage. Did we ever see her close a business deal?

More in a bit.

This was fantastic, Ria. And I love the title, because as I watched last night, I was getting very tired of the crying, hand-wringing, and fainting of the ladies in the pension. Remedios hasn't done anything but cry since she learned Soledad's secret.

So, just how is Sol going to move AnaLu out of the city by force? Will she use Oily again as her enforcer? She's really going for that mother of the year prize.

I was surprised to see that Claudia is helping Val since his goal is to destroy Mariano, and her goal seems to be to marry him. But I guess she could marry him first and then they go from there. Silly girl doesn't seem to realize she was just a booty call, and if she ever became more, AnaLet would get rid of her.

Thanks so much Ria. Our recappers have to be thrilled to be back to a single hour. Frankly, as a viewer, so am I. Not sure I could have taken anymore of the crying and moaning of those three stooges. Gees.

Sole makes me nauseous, but I honestly wonder if these writers are trying to paint her as sympathetic. I take her as someone who is losing it and more in fear of her past coming out and losing this "daughter" she has lied to all those years.

As for Rem, good lord, enough. Add Neri and the weirdness with her kids and these three are just too much to deal with in one room.

Every family in this tale is a case study in dysfunction and why there wasn't either a good priest or a psychiatrist written into this tale is beyond me. They an start with SanMar. Seems we are seeing a Marcelo that is only part of the original guy. Ram said he was a good guy, but this Marcelo is a snob, rather brutish and cold. So guessing we are seeing a split personality thing going on with this poor guy, and no Rem, a magic pill isn't going to help by itself. A good doc can start with this poor slob and then can get started on the rest of the town.

Viri, lord love her, seems the only sane one in the bunch. Let's hope she survives this tale indeed so we have one voice of reason.

Last night when Ernestina said Rod never met her daughter, and got so nervous about her granddaughter knowing he was her boyfriend before she married, I started to wonder if perhaps Rod was the biological father of her late daughter. I mean, why not? Everyone else seems to be related. Why not make Rod the abuelo of the triplets? Otherwise, I don't see the point about making such a big deal about an old lady's old boyfriend.

Thank you Ria. Jekyll-Hyde personality split indeed.

Sebastián Rulli should have also played Ramiro, a separate personality, and Angelique Boyer one Ana with three personalities and they partner swap while playing strip poker. What a silly show.

It was so wonderful to be back to single episodes. Thank you, Ria, the recap was perfect!

Ana Leticia made me laugh talking about tío Mariano's wandering ways to Viridiana. She never misses an opportunity to advance her own cause on any front at any time.

Soledad sure feels those walls closing in on her. I don't think Ana Lucía will be agreeable to leaving town.

Good point, Vivi. Not that this would affect the story much, since it was Ernestina's father's actions that motivated Evaristo's revenge.

Daisy, I agree. I lost all sympathy for SoleBad a long time ago. She is Losing It, but her possessiveness is just as sick as Ana MeMeMe's. That she would use Orlando as an enforcer was beyond sick, but this latest threat to take Ana Lucia away by force is seriously delusional unless Evaristo takes charge of this. He could make this happen, but I wonder whether she fears being beholden to him.

As for cold, snobbish Marcelo, I will take Ramiro's word for whom he used to be. The combination of the shock of discovering whom he was really married to and the attempt on his life split him in two, like Captain Kirk in "The Enemy Within" episode. Based on what we've been shown so far I think Marcelo is aware of all of Santiago's experiences but Santiago is in the dark about Marcelo's. This will need to begin changing soon.

No matter what happens Ana Lucia will have to be a saint to forgive him later for keeping her in the dark about her family of origin.

I am undecided about whether Ana MeMeMe will have to die at the end of the series. She is an evil narcissist and they never change. If she ends up in prison or a manicomio she will still be a spectre hanging over her sisters' heads.

Thank You bunches Ria. Very nice work.
Of course,I always have a question: So if TioIncest spent thousands on the dress for SobrinaIncest and was bidding against CLAWdia, where is the CLAW getting this kind of money? I can't see her hermano in crime TinTin doing the same.

Anon, Very clever and Very funny: "TioIncest" "SobrinaIncest".

And while my keyboard is warmed up, in what Bizarro World does SoBad relocate Lucy In The Sky to unknown locations against her will?
A-Lucy can outrun, out climb, out think, out scheme, and out hide her and can probably whip her ass if need be. She is young, smart, healthy, and has friends. It aint happening SoulessBad.

Well, Anon, as UA brilliantly pointed out, and I didn't even think about it, we have the ever present Grandpa Goon who can make things happen. He could arrange for AnaLu's kidnapping to parts unknown and someplace where she is guarded and watched. Her only company being her nutjob "mother", maybe Chana and most likely Orlando. Throw into the mix they could make her preggers, and we have the makings of a BINGO on the cliche card.

We have a LOT of episodes, and I think the tangled web of lies and deceits are going to string out for awhile. We will need copious amounts of wine or margaritas to tide us through this especially when the three "mothers" get together. At some point, if a cauldron appears and they along with Chana start chanting "double, double toil and trouble" I won't be the least bit surprised.

Maybe if we get the occasional Inaki or Rulli shirtless moment, yes, I'm that shallow, it will also help.

RATS

Wonderful recap!

Urban, loved your description of AnaLet as a "pretty package wrapped around garbage".

I've had no sympathy for Sole for a long time and am glad that the walls are closing in.

I think Mariano is a galan-in-training. Viri will redeem his character.

So Claudia and Val are in cahoots. Why are these two so money grubbing? Nerina seems nice enough. Were they spoiled like Daniel and turned out awful too? I guess so.

Vivi, I like your idea that Rodrigo is the abuelo otherwise who cares about a long ago boyfriend?

Ram didn't lose any boyfriend points with me for not insisting on pushing Llora to do the concert. It's none of Tin's damned business how Ram and Llora deal with her fears and for all he knows, they could be (and actually are) trying to work through some more pressing issues.

Aside from that, I got a lot of laughs (wry ones) out of the episode:

- AnaLet with Viri. That was truly funny. Viri has a pretty good idea of what AnaLet is doing. She probably doesn't realize the icky motivation behind it yet, but really, AnaLet's obvious desperation to keep Viri away from Mariano is hilarious. Not to mention, if I were Viri, I'd probably succumb to reverse psychology, and be MORE interested in Mariano as a result. Take that, AnaLetMe!

- So, fancy Claudia is the amazingly efficient maid service that cleaned up Tin's place just before Llora visited. I suspected as much, but after seeing what she's like, it was a lot funnier imagining her picking up all that trash in his place. She doesn't seem to like or respect him, so the stakes must be pretty high for her to be willing to take out the trash.

- Sole was so, so nervous, I almost felt sorry for her, except for the fact that she refuses to do the one thing that would end her suffering. (And possibly land her in jail, true, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.) It's just the irony that the universe keeps sending her bigger and bigger clues that she's doing the wrong thing and headed for disaster, and yet she continues to dig herself even deeper. At this rate, she'll dig so deep she'll end up in China. Come on, that's kind of funny, right? Sort of? It has to be, else it would be sad.

Vivi: "Why not make Rod the abuelo of the triplets?" Interesting idea, but what would that mean? Maybe it would have some bearing on what the triplets can/can't inherit? Or expose them to a whole new bunch of relatives to mess with?

Urban: The Captain Kirk comparison is apt, though Bad Kirk enjoyed passing himself off as Nice Kirk, whereas Marcelo can't be bothered with that. Ah, if only they had a transporter to put Marc and Santi back together again...

Anon 9:37: "RATS" is right!

Julie- Since Ernestina was rich in her own right (from her daddy), I really don't think if it turns out her daughter wasn't her husband's kid it would matter. Plus, she inherited whatever her dead hubby left her long ago. And Rod has made clear he's alone in the world, so if anything, the triplets would be in line to inherit even MORE money-- from Ernie, Mariano, and Rodrigo (if he's their grandpa). More money for AnaLetMeGiveMe to want to keep for herself.

And whatever their dead parents left behind as inheritance for them as well. *ca-ching!* $$$

Vivi - okay, that makes sense. Money always makes sense!

AnaLet did seem intensely nosy about Rod, especially once she learned he owned the hotel. So, apart from whether he's her grandfather or not, she'll want to push him on Grandma just to bring more cash into the picture.

Thanks Ria for that great recapping. I'll bet all the recappers are glad that we are back to one hour episodes.

I loved the part where Mariano is trying to explain to Viri about Claudia. And she was, "that's fine, we are just friends anyway." I'll bet that Viri is the most intelligent and accomplished woman he has ever dated. Everyone else has been pretty much a slutty type probably only interested in his money. Viri isn't going to put up with any shenanigans.

thanks , RIa. What a bunch we have in this novela...Goonpa, ORlandont, Soulbad, Villaintin, Smarmino. MY fav is ANaLEtme. I could watch her smirk , conive, and wiggle all day. Such a spoiled little brat. She is completely soulless, selfish, and fascinating.I could envision her in constant detention hall.

Sorry, Ria - I forgot to thank you for the recap. Thank you!!

Marino evidently has always had any woman he ever wanted due to those blue eyes and fine features. VIri intrigues him because she is a smart, accomplished person who is happy with herself and her life and not falling all over him....a challenge !
.

Cynthia, Jenny wasn't a slutty type and was quite accomplished in her field. Unfortunately, she either loved him too much to see the truth or didn't have the self esteem to want better. She waited a long time for that proposal. You could see it when AnaLet got engaged and rubbed it in. I still feel sorry for her and all the wasted years, hoping and waiting only to be murdered, as her dreams were coming true.

The fact that Mariano has never seriously dated any of the slutty types says something good about him. Other than AnaLet, he seems to know who the bad girls are and only uses them for sex. The one good girl, Jenny, he kept as an official girlfriend and then fiance.

Thank you Carvivlie. I came in late and to this party and didn't start watching until around the time they had Jennifer's funeral. I just assumed she was like the rest I suppose. Thanks for the correction.

Yeah, the real difference between Viridian and Jennifer is that Viridiana knows her own worth and won't put up with the bs (cheating, wandering eye, lack of commitment) that Jenny did all those years. Otherwise, they are both sane, nice, quality, hard-working women. Mariano knows quality when he sees it, and knows how to keep the gold-diggers and hos in the background. Claudia really doesn't stand a chance.

Thanks, Ria. Great title and recap.

Ramiro deserves a medal for not clobbering Tin-Tin lecturing him on how to treat AnaLaura. She plays the piano beautifully and of course should do another concert but not with Tin-Tin using it to manipulate her.

Kudos to Claudia for cleaning up Tin-Tin's room way back when. She earned points from me for that and for having a revenge agenda of her own instead of being AnaLeticia's puppet. But honestly, she needs to move on. She boinked Mariano while he was with Jenny and that's it. Move on.

Vivi..."keep the hos in the background." Tio must have read that in one of his fortune cookies. Verra wise!

Good point on Rod. Haven't figured out why we keep having him and Abue being shown, but there we go, money. The essential root to much of our evil minions in this tale.

I do wonder sometimes exactly what end game AnaLoon has in mind to get her grubs on all the cash. It's not like Abue is THAT old, Mariano certainly isn't, and then hello, sister and now, her other sister is going to surface. If she waits around for everyone to hit the horizontal on their own, she could be an old, skinny soulless survivor who finally gets to yell "it's all mine". We haven't yet seen her set her sights on taking out those she would have to share with in the immediate family, she just doesn't want anyone entering that inner circle. Maybe we just haven't seen her reach that point of eliminating the family. I would guess if any of then turn on her, slap that target on them?

Thanks, everybody. I really enjoyed recapping only 1 hr epi (not that recapping is not a ton of fun!), but having finished it, I was surprised - done already?

Urban, that is an interesting question on Ana Le's real estate successes - we always see her going to those meetings and she seems to have a lot of them. Are we to assume she is successful, or Inaki does all the legwork? I also agree with you and hope Ana Lu will take some time forgiving him. She will feel ambushed though when all of this gets revealed - every single person in her life, it seems, knows and is hiding the truth.

Vivi, Sole and mother of the year comment cracked me up! No kidding on Claudia needing to count her blessings she didn't end up in Ana Le's way yet!! Very interesting theory on Rod being the biological father - that would be an intriguing twist!

Daisy - Sole, Nerina and Rem are a bit too much together. Still cannot figure out why two relatively sane women are going with this ploy of keeping the truth from Ana Lu to "protect" her. They should keep it up, and they themselves might need to some protection - legal that is.

tofie - hahahaha! I wish you would have suggested that as they were casting - this would be perfect.

Jarifa - I agree, I think especially now Ana Lu would want to remain close to Santi/Marcelo. Good luck to Sole in trying to move her away.

Anon 8:43- very interesting questions (and creative nicknames!). No idea where Clawdia takes all this money - maybe she has other sugar daddies on the side?

Carvivlie, I am trying to figure out how Nerina's kids turned out that way too. She seems like a well-adjusted person. Of course there is always a possibility of some broken genes somewhere...

Julie - the scene with Ramiro at dinner and Tin goading him was definitely annoying, but Ram allowed himself to get annoyed with Tin, rather than playing it cool and paying it back in kind. And so it seemed that the points were lost in Llora and Valeria's eyes, because both were nodding to Tin, as if he was making sense with his lecturing.

Cynthia - Viri definitely looks the one to give TioM run for his money - figuratively of course ;)

Susanlynn, love all the names for our outstanding characters - all very fitting. Ana Le is fascinating though in her spoiled selfish attitude.

Niecie, oh that whole scene with Ramiro, Tin and the dinner was interesting. Why would he agree to it in the first place, or better yet - why would Llora insist, knowing the bad blood between Ram and Tin?

Ria- It seems that Llora is being willfully blind and tone-deaf to Ramiro's feelings about Valentin. He's made it very clear he doesn't like or trust the guy, and Valentin has made his own feelings of resentment towards Ramiro clear to her. In fact, having heard Val's bitter accusations against Ramiro for stealing and killing Gina, she should be suspicious about how syrupy sweet he's being and how eager he was to have dinner with them. If she can't see how Val is trying to goad Ram and get a rise out of him, then she's blind.

Vivi, completely agree. She is behaving as if Tin, also, is her life-long friend and she should take his feelings into considerations and will not choose sides. Defies all common sense, except that from what we have seen from her so far, it is almost certain she continues to distrust Ramiro on some level because of her insecurities and keeps expecting a betrayal.

Vivi and Ria: Ana LoIQ just ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Either of her sisters would have beaned TinTin over the head with a carbon fiber leg at dinner.

Haha, Anon 5:07 - too funny and too true

Who guessed that Erni, Leonor and Soledad would be sisters?! I know someone commented that was possible. Kudos to you, I actually did not see that one coming. I was on vacation for a couple of days and had to catch up with all the episodes last night, it's a relief that we're back to one hour.

This was a very interesting episode, thank you for the recap Ria, I love the title! I liked "Robocop" to describe Marcelo. Things are getting freakier with his split personality. I really don't know how that will get resolved.

I really wish Marcelo had just blabbed the truth to Ana Lu, he wants her to leave Santi so why not come out with it?

Can't wait to see Sole blow up, her eye will be twitching like crazy no doubt (any one else notice that?), and tell Ana Lu they are leaving, what lies is she going to come up with regarding Sofia? I really hope she doesn't use Ev or Oily(good one Vivi)to kidnap Ana Lu, Sole would really lose any sympathy that may be left for her.

I just love everyone's comments. Wish there was a way to go through like on FB and hit "like". Oh well.

Anyway, regarding Ana Llora, I think she is too used to being walked all over by Ana Le and she allows it to happen when others try to do it to her. She is just way too nice when she should be speaking up for herself.

Cynthia, you are right and I will add more: Many people don't feel they have the right to stick up for themselves. I know somebody like this. She is a "people pleaser" and will twist herself into a pretzel to suit what she thinks the person of the moment wants to see in her. She has never been entirely true to herself, thinking she would prefer to be "selfless."

That is not healthy and would cause enormous problems in the long term.

Welcome back Lily - hope you went somewhere fun! Events are picking up indeed. I wanted Marcelo to tell everything as well - what was the point in that half-truth about Sofia? Are we on "Who wants to be a millionaire" and is Ana Lu gaining more points for getting to the answer herself, albeit with a "help from a friend"?

Cynthia and Urban - very true about Ana Laura and that there are many people like this.

Wow...Tuesday completely got away from me. But Ria, your recap was excellent, witty, well-written, entertaining as usual. AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE TITLE! Well, looks like we have a lot of sturm und drang still to go before the right people end up happily ever after. But I'm with Daisynjay, as long as there are a couple of shirtless Santiago/Marcelo scenes from time to time, and the promise of an eventual romance between my blue-eyed Tio and Vridiana, I'll stay the course. And heck, for the recaps and comments alone, which are outstanding.
