Tres Veces Ana - # 83
Sneaky's recap:
Labels: ana
Ruthless Marcelo sure is shaking things up. I loved that scene between him and AnaLet where they declared war. And he did what I wanted Santi to do-- broke up with BOTH sisters. It's best that he (the love triangle he represented) not be part of the equation when AnaLu finally meets her family. Now he has to find a way to make sure AnaLet doesn't kill AnaLu.
It looked as though Marcelo was becoming conflicted about his actions with regard to Ana Lucia. He knew intellectually that what he was doing was wrong but he is feeling it emotionally, which he doesn't like. All he actually has to do to get even with Ana MeMeMe is to divorce her, plain and simple. Divorce her and that will be her humiliation. I don't know why (beyond the series length and usual plot contrivances) he needs to make it any more complicated than that. After all, she cheated on him first.
He should start by having the tattoo removed.
I don't get what Evaristo was on about. How can this situation work in his and SoleBad's favor? Did he actually steal the money? As things stand now Ratmundo stole the foundation's money in a way that incriminates Valeria unless he moved it from that offshore account into Evaristo's (or his own). Once SoleBad is unmasked as having kidnapped Ana Lucia she's in legal hot water that Evaristo can't get her out of.
Ana MeMeMe's meltdown shows how childish and selfish she really is. She put out a contract on Marcelo's life because she didn't want to share Abuela (and her fortune) with Ana Lucia. She wanted to divorce him because he didn't magically make her happy. She knew what his profession was when she dated him for three years; how did she expect that he would change this after marrying her? She cheated on him first. In her world anyone who doesn't kiss up to her or make her happy is disposable, including her own sisters.
And by breaking the mirror she brought on 7 anos de mala suerte.
I think divorce is exactly what Marcelo wants. (It was Santi who wimped out on the divorce.) But he also knows it won't fly to have AnaLu expect to be in a relationship with him when she finally meets her family, even if he's AnaLet's ex husband. He had to break her heart definitively and make sure she understands it's over. He can't be in a relationship with either sister.
There is now no way that SantMarc escapes being part of the equation. Ana MeMeMe can't unsee what she saw in the restaurant. What is wrong here is that Ana Lucia doesn't know, which puts her at a severe disadvantage. Marcelo is now responsible for anything that Ana MeMeMe will do to Ana Lucia and he will not be able to protect her by himself.
I strongly doubt that Ernestina and Leonor will welcome SoleBad as a sister. Their situation differs from that of the triplets, as two of them are the result of someone's adultery. I'm still trying to decide whether SoleBad is as sick as Ana MeMeMe, as she displays the same kind of selfishness.
Hands down the best scenes of the night were Ana Leticia in her breakdown. The worst thing she feared was Ana Lucía stealing tío Mariano's love. No surprise there. Then there she was on the floor in her bedroom slithering from side to side completely mesmerized by and lost in her own fractured images. With her smeared makeup, the scene was grotesque but fascinating especially when she started softly singing "tres veces Ana", etc. I always love when the title pops up.
Another interesting scene was Marcelo telling Ana Leticia that his love for her was the only thing that had survived his amnesia and that is how he had fallen for Ana Lucía when he saw her.
I cannot wait to see what Evaristo has up his sleeve to try to control things as they spiral out of control.
I think Marcelo wants to make Ana Leticia suffer first and see it for himself before divorcing her.
Soledad has some nerve appealing to the Virgin as a mother when she stole a child from another mother.
Great job by AB on the breakdown. Washcloth in mouth, singing at three reflections in a broken window, blaming Viri's dress...well done.
Wow Ms AB. Whew! I wonder if Rulli is sleeping with one eye open now. :-)
She knows good and well that Evaristo is dangerous, and yet whenever she feels threatened by someone finding out her secret she sics Ev on them, never thinking about the consequences. Does she think it was just a coincidence that Marcelo met with a terrible accident just after finding her, threatening her with jail, and then being marched away at gunpoint by Ev? What did she think Ev did to him those three years ago, and why he never came back? She HAD to have known that Ev killed him. She needs to stop playing the innocent, and pointing all the blame at "evil" Marcelo.
Vivi in DC- In regards to Remedios wanting AnaLu to keep her hopes alive for Santi- Do you think she is actually trying to encourage AnaLu not to give up so that she will not be alone in keeping her own hopes alive?
Anna-I agree with what Castro said about Boyer, but would you expect him to say something good about Rulli?
I don't know that a divorce is enough to get even, maybe just for the cheating. But she ordered his assassination, and Ev delivered it under 30 min or less. It's only fair he gets a pizza'of redemption ;)
Oh, I just had an icky thought. If AnaLet tries to track down AnaLu, she might start messing with the people at the pension (possibly disguised as AnaLu, but maybe as herself). Just think what will happen to Oily when he meets her!
Urban: "And by breaking the mirror she brought on 7 anos de mala suerte." Yes. And the irony was that she was already in the middle of some rotten luck. Oh well! Couldn't have happened to a nicer person, snicker.
Absolutely! That's why I think it was selfish. It wasn't about AnaLu's pain about losing Santi. It was about her own pain at losing her godson of three years.
Castro was definitely hurt that his comrade moved into his territory like that. But I think Rulli has always had feelings for her, but they were both stuck in relationships. Castro snatched her before Rulli could breakup with the current gf he had at the time. But patience won him a prize, b/c he swooped in fast after she broke it off w/ Castro.
I feel like I have made new friends...
Question: Although we have seen Inaki thinking about Daniel's death, was it really him? Or is he just thinking that he would have liked to have done it. It seems to me that there was one scene where Ana Le and Ev were around and it looked like Ana Le gave him the "go ahead" for something.
There is definitely a death anvil with AnaLet's name on it. She can't be alive if AnaLu & Santi expect to have a happy ending and she needs to pay for all the murders, but how gruesome or sympathetic the writer's will make her demise will be more telling once we get closer to the end.
AnaLet has always been celosa about AnaLu. If you remember, Ram was reminiscing with Llora about how AnaLu was the favorite and she always recieved attention. Everyone seemed to love her automatically, and Llora wondered how differently her life would've been if AnaLu was around. This drove the eavesdropping AnaLet to lock her in the chamber room. She hates competing w/ a ghost, but even more now that she knows she's alive. AnaLu is in grave poopy.
Inaki definitely killed Daniel. I think it's more believable to have his first murder be a crime of passion before he segues into a full on killer, a la Ana Leticia's bidding.
I'll on record right now saying that whole AnaLoon and broken mirror scene was Bowyer's audit clip to win the TN awards next year. There are some other good performances going, but that whole scene went to a darker place that not every actor can pull off. She gave me chills...not just a pretty face.
I agree that I came away from the AnaLu break up scene believing San/Mar, BOTH personalities, know this is the thing to do. Both these sides of the coin know AnaLoon is dangerous and needs to be priority to be dealt with. But, hopefully, something gets put in place to protect AnaLu...I wish what that entailed meant getting the hell away from those women in the house. Rem had me so frustrated...her fixation on Santi borders almost on a fixation and unhealthy. She needs to realize the man she knows does not exist as she remembers...and advise and approach from there.
Done with weepy Soledad. Good lord, way too much of her last night.
The three musketeers at the beginning were quite the trio. Man, no wonder Gina was able to dupe them all.
So my guess is, and I"m heartbroken to think it, but this is where AnaLoon puts her claws into Inaki and manipulates him through sex and promises to get her revenge. Lord help me, I hope he dupes her and plays her, but....
Cynthia, no doubt Inaki killed Daniel.
I'm wondering if AnaLuc will want to leave with Soledad now. Rem is driving me crazy. I didn't care for the actress when in LQLVMR because she cried through every scene. Now she cries through every scene.
in the opening credits and is wearing a sort of rust-colored shirt.

I need more INaki.
Most of the flashbacks we see of him do not show such an imbalance in Marcelo. However, we can't rule out the possibility of a childhood trauma from the writers that would have something to do with his family of origin. While we have had evidence that Facundo loves him we also see he has a controlling side to his nature. I wonder what that's about.
Urban That's a good assessment. I don't think we've seen the last of Santi, it seems caffeine is the only weapon Marc has to fight him and we all know how long that'll last. I prefer Marc to stick it out, just so he can stick it to AnaLet some more. I'm a pacifist, but I've gotta say this is one war I'm looking forward to :)
I agree with the earlier comments about Ana MeMeMe not being able to get by on her own. Without all that family money she wouldn't be able to bribe anyone to do anything.
Two things "scare" me about how this tn may end...
1. You can look up AnaLet on FACEBOOK. In reading, AnaLet said one of them (the three sisters) would die, but it wouldn't be her.
2. Knowing how the 1995 movie about triplets ended (can't remember the exact name-Lazos Amor-or something like that). It was unsettling-creepy even!
Quick, someone help me-can you give me something to feel optimistic about? I want this tn to have a happy ending...
Let's not talk about the previous version of this. I looked it up and now wish I hadn't. Remade series also don't always end the same way.
Right now, if a sister goes, I vote her...it could be more being put into an asylum at the end, but don't see her suddenly walking off into a happy sunset with her sisters. If either of the other two become collateral damage in her games...boy, I cry fowl to the writers.
My wish list anvil right now is Edmundo, Soledad, (Ev is a dead man anyway), Daniel's mother ( sorry forgot her name but she's worthless b****) and Tin. Oily Orly is going to get there if he doesn't start getting his act together. I am still holding out hope for Inaki, and hoping the Daniel flash back was not the truth, but AnaLoon's interp only. I know, I'm pathetic. I girl can hope.
Virginia I don't consider that a spoiler, but you have piqued my curiosity--still though, I'm going to be good and not look anything up! :D I know Vivi mentioned that the reunion isn't until much later in Lazos De Amor & that made me want to peek to see exactly when. But I was good that time too, and so I'm also hoping w/ Urban that the writers change it up in this version.
Daisy Lol holding onto hope isn't pathetic. Even if he did kill Dani, I still want redemption for him. Maybe a prison sentence or self-sacrifice by taking down AnaLet (like a double-suicide "Thelma & Louise" style off a cliff while in police pursuit!).
Diving straight in
Badd Ana looks like she wants to stamp and scream as Marcelo tricks Analu into kissing him again w/the promise that it will bring Santi back, but after the kiss he gloats that Santi is dead and will never come back, she helped him kill him. (yeah I know weird sentence, weird logic, weird everything) Analu sobs that she will never give up but is eventually convinced by cold as ice Marcelo that Santi is gone and he, Marcelo doesn’t want to see her ever again, as BadAna cries and screams into a towel in the bathroom and then frantically fixes her faces b/c ‘ he can’t see her this way’
The confrontation between Violentin (yay for whoever made that up, and thanks) and Ramiro expands to TioM when Val asks what his connection to Gina was and brings up old memories for TioM of his thing w/Gina and her telling him she was scared of Violentin b/c he got violently jealous and swore to kill her and her lover if he ever caught her cheating. TioM lies that his connections to Val and Ramiro is his only connection to Gina, and Val and Ramiro end up accusing each other of killing her.
Athe restaurant Marcelo taunts BadAna, she slaps him and they sit down to dine (just another dinner w/the Salvaterras, dear)
I hate you
I hate you too, just as much as I still love you, and really all this is your fault. You tried to have me killed by Evaristo and I lost my memory, so really you caused all this. Why, why did you do it?
BadAna tries to deny her involvement w/Ev but Marcelo won’t shut up about his hurt feelings and all how he met Analu.
Who is tearfully telling Remedios that Marcelo killed his alter ego (I wish she’d cry more quietly, the music in this scene is really pretty)
Remedios refuses to believe Santiago is really dead
Ram’s dad reports to Evaristo Ram wanting to investigate/prove Llora’s friend’s innocence. Ev’s not worried though, he’ll keep him busy w/other things.
Back to Marcelo’s angry rantcap of the last few months of our show. Also he’s out for revenge, if she hadn’t guessed.
When he finishes BadAna warns him to watch it, he’s just made her a woman scorned and we all know what they’re like. She’s a comin for him too!
Ramiro and Violentin make a mutual non-aggression pact, Ramiro tells TioM. Not that he trusts Val, or TioM for that matter.
Sole prays to the Virgin for help and she sends Evaristo, who jokes, but not really a joke, that the church doors should be closed to people like them. She protests for the umpityumpteenth time that she’s not a bad woman, and tells him about meeting BadAna and Abue hired a PI to find Analu and Marcelo got his memory back and threatened her w/jail again, and Analu won’t go along w/her plan to run far away. When he tells her comfortingly that he will take care of her and she has him, she comes back w/ ‘I have nothing’ and Marcelo told Analu about Sophia and he’s going to destroy her.
Ev counsels Sole to be strong and prepare herself for the changes coming and trust in all the love she planted in her daughter’s heart and pray that she comes back to her. Sole cries that if she loses her she will die, she can’t bear being all alone. Ev tells her she’s not alone, she has a friend who cares for her muchly, not, like Sole thinks, Remedios who would turn on her in a second if it came down to Sole or her godson, no Ev is talking about, and has brought w/him Chana. Hugs.
BadAna gets home and goes down to the storeroom to take her anger at Analu out on her childhood stuff. She’s extremely agitated and talking about how Analu steals everything from her, and now Marcelo’s love, and next Abue, Leonore, and Llora; but her freak out climbs to epic levels when she thinks how Analu might take away the love of TioM. HIM NO! she screams as she tears apart Analu’s doll.
As if in a trance, BadAna puts the stuff back in the trunk and leaves the storeroom.
The tantrum continues in her bedroom, where she rips and curses her ugly and uncomfortable looking dress, and breaks the mirror and then falls into another trance gazing at her fractured image.
Llora and Ramiro get home; blah blah, we’ll take a trip on our honeymoon, blah some more, Analu will be at our wedding (can we get back to the much more interesting deconstruction of BadAna please)
(ok here we go)
Upstairs Crazy!Ana says the name of the show and starts singing the theme song? And she laughs till she cries looking at herself in the segments of the mirror and naming her sisters. (I’ve always thought they could just be one woman)
Next morning Leonore sees the mirror and the picture BadAna threw at it and asks why. BadAna blames an incontrollable impulse brought on by Marcelo’s new abandonment.
Analu is avoiding Sole and being distant and Sole knows it and tries to get a convo started but Analu just wants honesty and answers and Sole just wants reassurance of her love. No progress here.
Marcelo, in Ramiro’s apt is trying to fend off sleep and Santiago’s return w/ mass quantities of coffee. Ramiro points out that he has to sleep sometime no matter how much coffee he drinks and tells Marcelo what he has already told Santi before: He can’t and shouldn’t fight this other part of himself. Only by re-integrating can he really get his life back on track.
Marcelo tells Ramiro about BadAna seeing him kiss Analu at the restaurant and now its open warfare between he and his wife. Ramiro suddenly grew a brain and figures out that it wasn’t a coincidence, Marcelo set it up. What are you up to Marcelo? Is the question we are left with till the next episode.
"Llora and Ramiro get home; blah blah, we’ll take a trip on our honeymoon, blah some more, Analu will be at our wedding (can we get back to the much more interesting deconstruction of BadAna please)
(ok here we go)"
Laughing like silly...and couldn't have set it better myself. Sorry, but now that the action is ramping, poor Llora and Ram are soooooo boring in their scenes. Bless their happy hearts. Won't last long.
You know, there is a lot of AnaLoon in Soledad. So self-centered...she will "die" f AnaLu leaves her. Ah, gee, so if she got married and moved for hubby's work, what? They have to take the mother-in-law with them? he constant need to have AnaLu reaffirm she loves her, good lord. WE know she's not the real mother, but lord love little Sofia, I think Soledad would have smothered her to death too. Something isn't right with this woman. Why does she feel so abandoned? Don't worry, still won't like her if I find out.
Forgot about that slap. That was priceless. So 1930's Preston Sturges, but serious. SLAP!
"Thank you my dear, have a seat. Can I get you some champagne?"
"Please mi amor. Be nice or I may throw it at you."
This story really would have been brilliant as a comedy.
Why does nobody in this series see Ana MeMeMe's obsession with Mariano? This is insanely obvious to us so why does nobody else who is in the same room see it? What is it going to take for anyone to see she belongs in a manicomio?
Yes, that slap was fun. You could see the people at the tables in the background react at first, but then they went right back to their meals. The ladies had probably already told their husbands about the lunatic genie who came into the bathroom and shooed them all out.
Don't mind me, I'm slow today.
Daisy, I totally agree, they really missed an opportunity not making this a comedy. In fact, there's enough silliness here that I can't help wondering if someone suggested making it a comedy, but was told NO.
Agree Ram and Llora are boring. I kept hoping she would say "come to my room and I'll show you some leg".
Faves:
yeah I know weird sentence, weird logic, weird everything
just another dinner w/the Salvaterras, dear
I wish she’d cry more quietly, the music in this scene is really pretty
Carvivlie Hilarious! I really wish they did make this a comedy, there's so much material to work with.
It's obvious that something isn't right inside Ana Leticia's head if she thinks Ana Lucia will steal Mariano's love and affection from her if A. Lucia is reunited with her true family. Mariano doesn't seem to care as he probably still believes Ana Lucia is dead. Anyway regardless of that I'm sure he loves all three of his nieces equally and doesn't play favorites. He obviously allowed himself to spend some quality time with Ana Laura way back when. But I think it's official that Ana Leticia has lost her marbles.
I think Soledad is digging her own grave. She could even lose Ana Lucia before the truth even comes out.
I'm interested to see what crazy plan Marcelo has up his sleeve but I kinda want Santiago back too lol.
I'll start flipping if AnaLu in her grief over losing Santi just caves to Oily and we have to watch Soledad gloat.
Need to go back to my happy place...hug the kitty, hug the kitty.

Can someone tell me what Chana is all about. Is she a friend or not?
There have been child psychologists for decades and that was what the two girls needed then. Abuela and Tio needed to seek help as well because they became responsible for those girls. I also agree with you that Ana MeMeMe cried for only her father.
Anonymous, there is no reconciliation in the works. Ana Leticia will have a hefty Karmageddon to face. She killed Jenny in cold blood and put out a contract on Marcelo. There is no redemption after anything like that.
BTW, my Karmageddon word file is already two typed pages. Lots of people and lots of evil deeds in it.
Mena, I used to think of Chana as Soledad's friend until we found out she works for Evaristo. So now, who knows?
Urban, I am not eager for this to end but eagerly await the karmageddon!
Great description of a very funny scene Sneaky. Thanks. Certainly was an interesting episode. Guess I'm one of the Back Row Bad Girls because I find Marcelo much more interesting than Sweet Santiago. Don't Mess With Marcelo! Everyone else seems to fall for Ana Leticia's lies. In his Marcelo persona, he's the only one who truly "gets" her. And doesn't waffle on any of his decisions.
At any rate, we've got a looong way to go. Might as well sit back and enjoy the ride. And hope for a little redemption for Iñaki.
