A que no me dejas Episode 10 (9.23.16) Lies have expiration dates. Check them before you lie.
Paulina and Adrián's relationship has become a web of lies and everybody and everything is getting trapped in it. Yes! Like a black hole of lies!
Nuria lied.
She said she had an exam and that she was going to a party and she went to Beach Pretty to offer herself to Adrián and tell him that Paulina had replaced him with Camilo. Adrián can be ugly but is not stupid, so he didn't believe her and threw her out of the room. In any case, she planted the seed of doubt in his mind and he went to Port Hope to verify if in reality Paulina was with Camilo. AND SHE WAS! Of course Adrián got to the hospital in the precise moment when the doctor told them that little Mau was out of the coma and Paulina was hugging Camilo so after Adrián saw that, Camilo got a knuckle sandwich and Adrián left without listening to anything Paulina had to say.
Life is fair (when you lie)
When Nuria was arriving to Port Hope after the delay caused by sleeping with Napoleón aka Luis, a random guy she picked up at the bar who then robbed her, and after asking Leonel for a favor so she could return home, Adrián was leaving, so they are both witnesses to Paulina's effort to talk to him and explain what really happened. Adrian refuses to listen.
When Nuria sees Adrián go to the boarding area ignoring Paulina, while Paulina is crying like a Magdalena, she thinks life is fair. That's how messed up her mind is.
Later on, when Paulina tells Camilo about this incident, he recommends to wait a little time so Adrián gets cooled off and then try again. She thinks Adrián should have trusted her more, but what can we do, this is how Eric Vonn wrote it. All relationships are based on trust. She is concerned about Camilos face, but he says is nothing.
Gonzalo lies
Alfonso and Gonzalo talk about Mónica, who is becoming quite a threat lately. Gonzalo wants to get rid of her sending them all too Chetumal, but Alfonso believes that won't be an easy task.
Look comfather -says Alfonso -All women know that their husbands could cheat on them but that's one thing and the public scandal is another. Seeing, verifying, is what destroys a good marriage. Let's see if this Chetumal thing works out. I hope, so you don't have to get me involved in your dirty business. Raquel would never forgive me if she finds out.
In her house, Julieta reads the paper and finds Edgar's obituary, where she learns his last names. Upon reading them aloud, Almonte Esquerro trigger something in her mind and she starts trying to remember where she has heard that name before. What the relation could be between the Murats and this man? Why did they finance his funerals and paid for this advertising?
In Jaime's office, he loses the last client he had due to the Murat scandal and now he will be forced to close the agency. He had worked building this business from scratch during 15 long years and now is gone, all go to waste, thanks Julieta! All the employees, including Gisela will become part of the unemployment statistic very soon. The powerful Murats have destroyed our reputation and we probably will have to move to Beach Pretty too.

Don't do good things that look like bad things
Before Camilo leaves, Karen gets there to get the full story about the failed explanation in the airport thing. The producers use Adrián's image in the waiting area so they can save on flashbacks, because both Paulina's story and what he is thinking is the same footage.
Both women wonder how did Adrián know about Camilo's rescue plan and why did he come to Port Hope's hospital in the exact time when she was hugging Camilo?
The answer is Nuria!
Karen thinks that are two kinds of jealousy, the one that flatters you and the one that offends you. If Adrián is jealous, make sure is not the kind that could kill you at the least reason minimal as it is.
In the tropical hospital, Inés is told by the doctor that little Mau needs rest because they have performed a lot of tests on him, so she just holds his little hand and sighs.
Back in the Murat residence, Nuria finds the house empty, with exception of Micaela, who was minding her own business folding pillowcases.
-Where's everybody that are not receiving me properly as I deserve?
-In the hospital, dear, little Mau is out of the coma, thanks God!
-Well, as you guessed, I don't care, and don't believe anything you hear either, specially if it is about Paulina staying with little Mau all the time taking care of him! Because she is not!
In another part of the city, the Fonsecas, the Murats, Paulina and Karen, attend Edgar's funeral. Just so you know, the whole casket is slided as a drawer in a niche. Wouldn't it be cheaper and less space consuming if he was cremated? Anyway...
When Jaime gets home, he asks Olga for a glass of water and Julieta asks him who is Edgar Almonte Esquerro. Why? I have no idea, he replies, is not the little deaf boy's father? I think we saw him in Paulina's party. I think they came from Guadalajara!
Well, I don't know -she said- I am trying to remember and I think my father used to name that guy before he died. Maybe the fraud that killed my father is what links them all together.
-In other news, I am going to have to close the agency and we will have to move to Beach Pretty.
-Really? Good, that way I will be closer to Adrián!
Meanwhile, back at Beach Pretty, Adrián gives Odette the wrong hint as he was complaining and telling her not to mention Paulina's name ever again. She was smiling to herself, specially when he said that for all he cared, Paulina could go to hell and that she belonged to the past!
Overhearing is becoming an habit
Camilo, who is now more like a superhero with an overhearing power, listens, unintentionally, when Leonel tries to find a five bedroom house in Chetumal for someone named Mónica Grin. Having a superpower is one thing, but being curious is yet another completely different. Here that power can get you killed. He asks too much. Leonel's lips are sealed.
Now it is Pau's turn to visit little Mau and she takes Karen with her. The doctor says that with patience and care, little Mau will fully recover.
After the "burial", the Murats confront Nuria because she didn't attend the funeral. She probably said the truth for the first time, when she told her parents that she was not interested in faking grief for someone for whom she didn't feel anything.
Gonzalo insists that it was her duty as a member of the family to show respects, but she has something under her sleeve and shoots back, because she remembers that she saw a little note from some "Elisa" regarding some kid named Alan that needed his attention and she wants to know more about it.
Gonzalo passes saliva but quick regains his cool making up a very good excuse that involves a former employee and her kid, who needed his help in a crucial moment.
Really? -ask both Inés and Nuria- Don't you have personnel that deal exclusively with those issues? Ejem!
Two can play that game, so Gonzalo inquiries Nuria when exactly is she going to finish school, since it is becoming very expensive and time consuming. She says there's time for everything when you organize yourself right.
Between Port Hope and Beach Pretty people can teletransport at will like both places are in the same postal zone.
Juaréver. Some miles from there, in Beach Pretty, Paulina interrupts Adrián's chat with Odette regarding some client who will be marveled before Adriáns quick and effective work.
-I don't want to keep remembering the past- he says- I wanna drown in work.
And voilá, Paulina shows up to talk and explain Adrián everything he is missing. She just needs a couple minutes.
He insists that there's nothing to explain but she is determined to clear his mind so they leave.
In Mónica's house, mimaw Elisa has brought René molletes (like a small subway sandwich but with only refried beans topped with cheese) as an excuse to keep planting ideas in him.
-You are the only one who can make your father live here with you. Ask him. You deserve a father all for yourself and if your mom has not succeeded, you will.
Amor de lejos amor de pend... nunca funciona
I don't know how long it's been since Paulina left to Beach Pretty to see Adrián, but Karen has been standing by little Mau's bed in high heels. I hope she has been alternating her body weight on both legs. Then there's a knock at the door. A cold sweat runs through her spine but luckily it is Camilo. Fiú! Saved by the pale! He probably waited a little bit to see if there was somebody talking inside so he could hear, but no, Karen was alone.
Now they can talk about Paulina's plans to clarify things to Adrián and reconcile.
Between leaving the office and getting here, night fell.
Walking along the beach, that is actually pretty even at night, and the preferred place to talk to Paulina and Adrián, she starts explaining Camilo's Operation rescue after Nuria exposed her as a liar when she saw her getting on the motorcycle. Good thing Adrián was wearing a helmet and Nuria didn't see quite well and Camilo could almost convince everyone it was him driving.
-So convenient!- said Adrián- and from the thousands of lies he could have made up, that was the only one that came to Camilo's mind? This is getting too complicated! And yes, Nuria told me. I found her laying on my bed offering herself to me. I am sorry I got so jealous.
-I choose you (where have I heard that?)- says Paulina- and i love you. Promise me that from now on, even if the evidence is against me, YOU WILL TRUST ONLY ME! Do you forgive me?
-Yes of course!
-Let's seal it with a kiss!
Alfredo lies (it's in their genes)
In the Fonseca's house, while dining, Raquel starts to shot truth serum darts to Alfonso in order to extract from him the real regarding that famous "business dinner" that he supposedly had with Gonzalo the other night when Gonzalo came back home almost at midnight.
-I was there- explains the husband- but I came pretty quick because you and I had another commitment, remember?
-So quick that when I got here I found you in house clothes resting on the couch watching tv?
-Well, I knew I had to be here before you did... dear...
-And if that was a "non important early dinner", why did Gonzalo got home so late?
-I dunno, but if you want to know, go ask him, ok?
-Cuidadito, be very careful, you know that I don't agree with cheaters and I wouldn't like to see you as a cover for our comfather dirty tricks, got it?
Don't hate me because I am beautiful
While this couple are still eating, the Murats are ready to go to bed. I was not surprised Inés choose a black attire to attend Edgar's funeral, but being pistachio green her favorite color, why is her pajama white? Anyway, she is applying night cream and Gonzalo is fluffing the pillows. They talk a little about little Mau and then Gonzalo share with her his plans to have a second honey moon around he world.
No!- says Ines- little Mau needs care and attention. I would never forgive myself for leaving him while I enjoy traveling.
-Well, there's Chelo, Micaela, Paulina, and we could get another good nurse to take care of him. He will be very well for a while, trust me.
-OK, but let's wait until everything is settled and Paulina is ready and everything before we leave...
In some dark bar there's another exchange. Nuria gives Leonel back the money he lent her and he starts being a little too friendly. Hey, hey, we are not friends. We are allies and I owed you but I have paid you back.
-Yes, but you still owe me "the favor"- says Leonel- you said you would do for me.
-And that will be it. i don't like debts of any kind.
Best thing after arguing is to make up
The now happy couple Paulina and Adrián, are happier because the next plane to Port Hope leaves tomorrow morning, and they have the whole night for themselves!! Yuhu!
Once in bed naked, he starts saying how much he has missed her body, her skin, her hair, her little birthmark near her mouth cielito lindo...
After they rearrange their priorities, Paulina tells Adrián about her commitment with little Mau but he starts disregarding those plans, arguing that little Mau has more than he ever need with Inés, Chelo, Micaela and that if Paulina wants to go see him after they're married that will be ok, and even if little Mau wants to come spend some time here with them there's no problem, but the whole time, nanay!
I was surprised when I heard Paulina agree with that, and she even said, I like the way you change my plans and make me see things from other perspective, WHAAAT?
In the same cit but in a different place, Darío talks to Odette, who confesses to her brother that she is already in love with Adrián. He is the love of my life, she says, only I met him a little late.
She got tired of waiting those "five minutes" Adrián told Paulina she had to explain herself, and when five minutes became 50 and then more than an hour, she decided to eat alone.
-Thats what happens when you convince yourself with false illusions. BTW, Jaime called, He said that he and Juliette will arrive within one month after closing the shop and move their belongings. Adrián doesn't know it yet. (This is another stone in his way).
Early the next day Leonel tells Alfonso that Camilo is getting a little too curious for this company's extra official business. The other day, he said, he overheard about Mónica and started to ask many questions. I know my job, but I just want you to know that he need more training. Not that he jumped over my like a grasshopper or anything, just to let him know certain rules.
-In this workplace, adds Alfonso- discretion is required at all times and you know it.
-Yes I do, but Camilo doesn't.
And indeed, while his father talks to Leonel, Camilo is being helped by another employee to dig into Mónica's records, getting the full file including her picture!! She is the same woman I saw speaking with my father!! He thinks.
If you want me to divorce you will make a sacrifice
And speaking of the devil, Gonzalo is at Mónica's washing her brain with the story of the move to Chetumal, where her mother, the kids and everybody will be safe of the media while he is FINALLY DIVORCING Inés! You know, all the papers and tv stations will speak about it and that's not good for you and the boys. Move and I will get there later!
After the night of passion with Adrián, Pau storms in little Mau's room yelling to Karen, sure that she was alone there: Fiú, a little bit and I get caught in a lie!
-And YOU DID!- says Inés showing up from somewhere- Paulina, you got a lotta explainin' to do! Where did you spend the night, or should I say WITH WHO???

The move will never happen. Elisa won't need more than a New York minute to figure out Gonzalo's motive for it. And Gonzalo is a total coward for planning a second honeymoon to coincide with this. That trip won't happen either.
Playa Linda will become Playa Fea when Julieta arrives. Adrian and Paulina better get married now before that happens. Jaime had better find a shrink there. For himself to find out why he didn't divorce Julieta years ago.

I almost stopped watching for that reason, but the Gonzalo second family with Monica....that storyline Is keeping my interest up. I am more intrigued by that storyline than Pau and Unibrow (thx Vivi)

Thanks so much, Pablo! I finally got to see the episode. Glad that Pau and Adrian are back together, and I thought Pau showed real maturity is going after him and explaining the situation and her feelings about his mistrust honestly. Adrian, however, ticked me off by acting like a big, jealous baby the last two episodes. Sure, that hug was annoying, but not damming enough to warrant all that drama and a breakup.
I kind of want to see Juli unleashed on Odette once she realizes Odette is interested in Adrian. :)
Gonzo is so good at lying. He's so believable when he's with Inez. Why is he cheating on this woman? And Al is going to ruin his own happy marriage and family, covering for Gonzo.

Superalfie- Mau broke my heart last episode when he woke up and was so worried about his lout of a papa. Yeah, he's in "heaven"... I also loved the flashbacks to him and Inez spending time together. What an adorable kid. He life will be so much better without his father. Now, hopefully that can keep Nuria away from him and/or get him and everyone into sign language class fast, so that he can tell people exactly what Nuria has done/does to him.
Absolutely loved the title Pablo. Could be the title of almost every telenovela recap when you think about it. Also laughed at the subheading "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful". Just one of the most annoying shampoo commercials ever.

Cynderella used to describe him in hilariously lurid terms. As far as I know, he always plays villains. Anyway, I'd much rather see him take a shower than Adrian. Heck, I'd rather see Gonzalo take a shower.

Lety Calderón was the face in that "no me odies por ser bonita" commercial (mexican version), so when I saw her applying creams and whatnot I just thought about paying an homage to a woman who is still beautiful at her age.

I don't remember what was she advertising and I couldn't find the original ad, but she said in an interview that it was for Oil of Olay, during her LA INDOMABLE days (around 30 years ago)

Vivi, I'm wondering what Odette would or will do if pursuing Adrian means having to knock heads with Julieta! There is nothing more dangerous to a relationship than toxic in-laws and I think she has scared away every girlfriend Adrian ever had before Paulina. Her comments about what Gonzalo or Edgar allegedly did to their father is only an excuse; she doesn't want Adrian to have a girlfriend, wife, children, or anything else that makes him enjoy life.
Maybe Odette and her brother will make Jaime choose: their business association or his psycho wife! Pick the business, Jaime!
