Tres Veces Ana #93??: Pandora's Box Begins To Open
Inside Ernestina’s manse, Ramiro’s best backdoor efforts to avoid Ana Laura’s performance with Valentin to raise funds for The Foundation, by talking Rodrigo into footing the bill for the next year’s entire budget, so that she and TinTin won’t have to spend time alone rehearsing together, all come to nothing. A Llora wont’ disappoint TinTin or the others involved by cancelling it. Tough nuts—no if’s, and’s or but’s.
Outside in the garden, Nerina tries her best to get on her son, TinTin’s, best side after so many years on the outs. She blames their separation on that trollup, Gina—a big mistake—who clouded his otherwise (?) good judgment. TinTin tells her never to speak like that of the love of his life. He sneers at her sudden upsurge in “maternal love” now that she’s learned he’s a paralytic, calls her a crappy mother, and gripes that Ramiro has stolen another woman from him and marrying her, like he did with Gina. Bottom line: Nerina strikes out Big Time with TinTin of the tiresome temper tantrums.
At The Realty Place, Sickie de Ana Leticia comes as close as she dares to seducing Unkie Mariano, thinking he must feel the same as she does about him about wanting such a socially prohibited and sexually perverse relationship together. It all goes over his head and he blows her off to be alone for a bit with his own thoughts. She learns that Viridiana is in the lobby waiting to see Mo, so on her way back to her own office, she takes pleasure in lording her position as Mo’s “special little girl” and niece of the owner, to shoo Vi out of the building by lying that he’s busy and cannot be disturbed. “—I am sure he won’t see you as he just said he didn’t want to see anybody at all.” (Yeeeeowwwww!!! Hissssss!!! FFFFFFttt!) Mo walks up behind Ana Lemeeee and blows her story all to Hell. He greets Vi and invites her back into his office immediately. Embarrassed, Ana MiMi licks her paws and begins grooming herself. Vi purrs and lifts her fluffy tail as she prances past A MiMi and receives Mo’s kiss on her cheek.
At Remedios’s Rooming House, Ana Lucia notes very quickly that Rem has been keeping the truth from her just like Mama Soledad and Santiago have.
Back in Mo’s office, Vi hands over a personal check to him reimbursing him for the cost of the ruined dress he paid for. Why? She gives him the lowdown on Missy Uptown for the way she behaved towards Vi’s seamstress, claiming the woman had ruined it due to her incompetence. Her verbal abuse had her trusted employee in tears. Vi says she will not tolerate that from even his niece. Mo may let her get away with everything, but Vi refuses!
Back in her office, Ana MiMi has a perverted daydream about Unky Mo and her admitting their sexually perverted love for each other. Iñaki spoils it and she plays the big tease with him.
Back at the manse, Ana Llora gives TinTin the great news about Ram’s procuring that huge donation. TinTin changes his instrument of choice from oboe to violin as he plays the “pity-poor-me-I-can-always-go-back-to-playing-for-tips-in-the-street” sympathy card with A Llora in a pissing contest for her time and favors.
Nerina is now in the park watching parents and their loving children enjoying time together. She has a flashback to the day her husband died. TinTin and Claudia griped at their mother for spending all the liquid cash on Daddy’s intensive care and therapy even when Nerina knew the man hadn’t a hope in Hell of survival. Nerina begs off saying she simply couldn’t bear the thought of losing him. Claudia says the accountant just told her that she made the decision to spend every last peso without consulting the kids first, and they won’t forgive her for it. (You have to see their point but, the cold treatment afterwards is so brutal considering their mother has lost the love of her life and her best friend in the world!) But what really adds salt to that wound was Gina prancing in and taking it upon herself to “sweetly” scold Nerina as well for not talking things over with her son and her daughter. Nerina walks over and smacks the crap outta her but good. (Cheers go up all throughout Viewerville.) Stoopid, naïve TinTin grabs Nerina by the arms and screams at her for that act of disrespect towards “his novia.”
Mo calls A MiMi on the carpet about her treatment of Soledad. Vi gives her a lesson in how to speak in a more tolerant tone when dealing with people of a different class. “--It wasn’t just given to me and I was demanding it be done right. If the woman wasn’t any good and ended up crying, it wasn’t my fault.” Vi reminds her it was a gift from her uncle and adds, “--Whatever, just give me back the dress in whatever condition it is now.” A MiMi nonchalantly advises she cannot because she threw it into the trash. Mo is horrified. She ignores his outburst. “—Now, is there anything else you need to discuss with me? I’ve got lots of important things to do.” Vi takes the opportunity to bring up all her tales about Claudia Rivas. Tell your uncle what you’ve told me.
Aross town, Claudia is trying to pay a visit to her mother. She sees Ana Lucia come out and immediately thinks she’s seeing Ana Leticia. She makes an offhand remark about the “new do.”
End part 1~~

Parte 2~~
Ana Lucha doesn’t understand and eventually introduces herself as Ana Lucia. Claudi immediately understands and pretends her mother has told her about her.
Vi confronts A MiMi with her little tale that every time Claudia should call, Mo runs to answer, making Vi believe that there was a romantic relationship between the two of them. A MiMi tells her she was mistaken, and then that Viridiana is an all-out liar. Mo is shooting-dagger-eyes impactado at what he’s just heard. Ana MiMi demands he stand up for her. He refuses. In fact, he tells her to stop meddling in his affairs (both literally as well as figuratively); he is in love with Viridiana and he wants her in his life. Vi is surprised. Suddenly they both forget (well, I don’t really think Vi has) that A MiMi is standing there watching as he asks for a chance, admits he’s been a playboy and now that he wants this change in his life he’s frightened he won’t have the strength of character to resist, when Vi gives him the “Sí”, and when they seal it with a very seductive, passionate kiss. (Anybody know where Vi can find a couple of good body-guards--fast?)
Back at the boarding house, Claudia makes fast friends with Ana Lucha and gives her her business card. “—Let my mother know I came by and have her call me.” Nerina and Claudia miss each other by seconds.
Ana Lucha gives Nerina Claudia’s card and tells her she just missed seeing her daughter there.
Back in Mo’s office, once Vi leaves to wait for Mo in the reception area, Mo lets Ana MiMi have it with both barrels for trying to come between him and Vi. A MiMi screams it’s Vi who is trying to separate her from Mo. Mo doesn’t swallow it and he refuses to tolerate her disrespect any further. She then brings up how Marcelo has accused him of sleeping with Gina when she was engaged to Ramiro. “—How will Ramiro and Ana Laura feel about you once they know that, huh?” They won’t learn about it because you won’t say a word, he yells back at her. She screams hysterically that although she stood up for him with her husband when he insulted him, Mo turned his back on her when Vi insulted her—“—all for a worthless tramp who wants—just like so many others—only to sleep with you!!!” She will NEVER forgive him for that!! She races out into the lobby. She stares daggers at Vi and Vi shoots ‘em right back at her. Yaki shows up and she grabs him and offers to head out with him to see his clients with him.
Ram disinvites TinTin from lunching with him and A Llora. Outside in the garden, Ram tells TinTin he knows what he’s up to and he’s going to be there everyday during the recitals so he won’t have a chance of sidling up to HIS novia like he plans to. Violentin hisses back that any woman who gets involved with Ram ends up dead, like Gina. He’s only there to protect Ana Llora from Ramiro! The driver appears with the car. Ram tells him to take ‘uh what’s his name” but to be very careful of the neighborhood since the guy lives in the ghetto and they do steal tires off cars there.
Ana Leticia leaves with Yaki and begins crying and whining about how they were kissing in front of her and she’s torn to pieces over it. “—Who? Marcelo and Ana Lucia?” A MiMi suddenly realizes what she’s doing and gets it together. “—Obviously. You have no idea how it hurts me.” She cries on his shoulder and he speaks lovingly to her. Orlando is spying from the car on the other side of the street and writes what he sees all down for Evaristo.
At the restaurant, Vi and Mo discuss his untrustworthy past. She reminds him there was something important he’d begun to tell her the other night when they were alone, just before Ana MiMi breezed in. Seemed to be something he was ashamed of. “-- Did you decide to hide it from me or what?” He nods and she tells him he can wait till he’s ready to let it out.
Back in her rooms, Nerina explains to Ana Lucha that she didn’t tell her kids the whole story because it would only have been another worry for them on top of their father’s failing health. They may have been rude towards her, but Claudia has taken the first step to make amends, Ana Lucha tells her. (Maybe and maybe not.) Nerina says, maybe but then there’s her son and she wasn’t there for him when he needed her most, when he was lying there and learned he was unable to walk. A Lucha says she doesn’t think it’s that way. “—Give me his address and I’ll go and speak to him.”

Is this barnyard crush on Tio Marino just supposed to be comic relief? It is headed that way, or maybe I just enjoy it so much given LetMe’s exasperation. When Mariano was reading her the riot act, she tried as usual to turn it around and be a victim. This is one twisted little gal. The only thing she hasn’t been caught at yet is torturing the family pet. What pet? Yeah, Hmmm.
Another one who was not being stupid is Mr. Ramiro. Sneaky ole Wheelchair Drooler tries to invite himself along for dinner. NOT. I want Ram to flip his Hot Wheels over. He would be like one of those big black beetles with legs flailing in the air,
I didn’t follow the scheme Clawdia had for going to pretend to visit her Mom. She seemed to be taken aback when she ran into AnaLuc. Just lucky?
Oh Soledad, if you were any dumber, we’d have to water you twice a week.
Does anyone recognize the closing song last night? I hadn’t noticed it before, and it was pretty nice. It sounded like Mana.
Thanks
TOA
So Claw and Violintin both hate their Mom, right? And she has absolutely nothing either of them wants, right? And neither of them are capable of empathy, sympathy or any other selfless human feeling, right? That's why I am confused. Is Claw trying to find AnaLet's mystery (to her) sister as part of her aggression pact with AnaLet?
After what happened in this episode anyone who doesn't see Ana MeMeMe's fixation on Mariano is deaf and blind. Mariano most of all. Do you think the light bulb finally went on? It's a shame nobody can have her committed against her will.
So what will Clawdia do now that she has seen Ana Lucia? Will she try to curry favor with Ana MeMeMe or use it against her? Nerina is now all shook up over this.
Most satisfying scene: tío Mariano telling Ana Leticia how things were with him and Viridiana; tío Mariano became completely absorbed in talking to Viridiana; tío Mariano then turning and being surprised Ana Leticia was still just standing there watching it all. Sure hope amarisno stays strong and does not allow himself to be blackmailed by his dear niece. Yay! Viridiana is ready to deal with Ana Leticia and give Mariano a chance to tell her what he wants to in his own time. ITA with Jardinera that Viridiana probably should get a bodyguard.
I actually don't see Val and Claws point. Here their father just died and all they care about is money, not their father or their mother just money. And if it was my parent, I would want every penny used to try and save her. They are worthless children and people. And after all that has passed, Val still won't see gina for what she was and its not like she tried to hide it from him in the end. She stole his money and gloated walking out the door. He must be psycho and obsessive compulsive.
Best scene was Tio going after AnaLet. But oh boy are he and Viri in for it now.
So AnaLucia has been mistaken for 3 people now and she still has no hint of something being off? First Marc, then Fac and now Claw. And why hasn't she googled Marc? Or Sofia Hernandez or herself? She knows people are keeping secrets and she hasn't done the slightest o really find out the truth. Geez girl learn to use a computer!
BEST. EPISODE. YET! We had so much fun with this one. Inaki was hilarious adjusting the waist of his pants when Ana Letrepadora told him she was dreaming about him, and then again w/ the hesitant look on his face when he walked through line of tension b/w Viri and Ana Leprosa. We also laughed when Viri and Mariano finished kissing to realize they had an audience & Ana LeggoMiTio says "FINALLY you notice me!". It was awesome scene after awesome scene. I felt like Sanford & Son grabbing my chest calling for "Elizabeth" b/c all the crazy drama was too much! The entire Ramiro sticking it to Villaintin was SOOOO delicious! The way he decided to ignore Violentin's hint at leaving the rehearsal, the way he uninvited Valentin's attempts to crash their date, the way he "helped" Valentin get his violin by knocking it in his face, and then the way he told the chauffeur to be careful taking "whats his face" to his vecindad. Valentin was all "I'm Valentin, my name is Valentin", and we laughed harder. The whole Clawdia & Ana Lucia situation was a nice progression & I'm glad Nerina gave Gina the five-fingered faith healing POW-er of GEEZ-us! I finished this epi licking my fingers b/c it was sah juicy & sah yum.
Btw my papa was in a brain-dead coma for 3 years & we kept him on the machines til he passed away (Personally, I'D have pulled the cord tbh w/ you). But I was never upset w/ my mom for that decision & despite the bills we got stuck with, I was never so callous as to say something like "he was pretty much dead anyway" the way Clawdia said it. It didn't seem like they were grieving their father at all, and he had just passed.
Glad that Erni plans on finding her sis, and hope Leo opens up to the family as a result. Worried that Claw will open her boca to AnaLet about AnaLu's whereabouts. Hopefully, Nerina will reign her and Tin in. Anddoubt Nerina will let AnaLu go talk to Tin.
So many savvy lines but "TinTin of the tiresome temper tantrums", "Missy Uptown" and "TinTin changes his instrument of choice from oboe to violin" were among many favorites.
While Mariano is obviously attracted to Viri, I'm not totally convinced he is truly in love with her. I think there is much more to the equation. I believe he feels pressure to be more responsible, but there seems to be fear and regret in his newest pursuit as well. Clearly, Jennifer's death affected him but his role in Gina's demise also seems suspect. Viri seems to be a logical choice. She has been the only woman we've seen who clearly wasn't interested initially and who turned him down - flat. He admires her spunk (as do we). But real, mad, passionate love? I'm not there. Yet.
Ana Let will likely start using Inaki in some sort of retribution scheme. While Viri is intuitive, she has no way of knowing how dangerous (and unbalanced) her new adversary is.
Valentin and Claudia are selfish, spoiled brats. How sad that Nerina was likely better off without having any contact with them.
Ram is smart to keep Val in close range. I can't believe Ana would fall for anything he has to say. I know music bonds them but hopefully he won't use his smarmy "charm" to wheedle his way into her affections.
Every day someone else discovers Ana Lucia's secret. Someone better tell her the truth.
Still enjoying Orlando craning his neck to soak in all the action he's been privy to. The circus sideshow is nothing compared to what he is gawking at.
Jardinera, terrific title! Thank you so much.
Diana
I am so sorry to learn that your father was in a coma for such a long time before he passed. I can't conceive how difficult it was for your mother, yourself and the rest of your family. It sounds as though you gave your unconditional support which I am sure your mother appreciated. God bless all of you...
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Diana
Loved the interaction with Vi, Mo, and Ana LeMe. I had a good laugh at that because it was so entertaining. It was so good to see Tio M becoming angry with Ana LeMe. Maybe that will put her fantasies at rest for a while. It's so gross!
I doubt it, Cynthia. Ana MeMeMe will not give up. If anything, Viridiana will need those bodyguards.
Wondering where Clawdia's income is coming from. She can't be entirely on Ana MeMeMe's payroll.
Cynthia Yea, I'm a bit peeved that they blame their money ones on her, when they never had to earn a dime their whole lives & should be able to earn their way up like their dad did.
Urban I'm guessing she works as an escort (not the prostituting kind), since I can't imagine how else Ana LiftedPinky would cross paths with her. When she isn't hired wooing Marrano, she's probably on some yacht with some other suga daddy.
Ana, yes I noticed when Analet starts teasing Inaki and she tells him she was remembering them in bed, it was hilarious that goofy look he got as he walked towards her pulling up and afjusting his pants like a peacock. I am going to rewatch it for that part, Ramiro getting on Valentin's last nerve and Loved when he bumped him with his case. Plus when Valentin asks Ram to hand him his oboe on his way out, and Ram hands it to him but says he is not leaving.
I was also laughing at Ram when Ana Laura was playing the piano and he was sitting on the couch with his eyes closed, smiling and moving his head to the music. I know thats what people do, but watching him gave me bad case of giggles. Analet screeching at Tio and Viv because they were so wrapped up in each other they even forgot she was in the room. That must have hurt the little narcisstic wench.
Oh and cry baby TinTin saying if they dont have recital he will continue playing for tips and his peso will be just as good as the millions Ramiro's donor is contributing, it is, but the way he said it (putcheros) and all.
OT, did anyone know Dreadmundo is the lovely Livia Brito's Dad??
Leticia
I wonder what Claw is going to do with her new info about AnaLu? Who would give her the most benefits for delivering that info? Mariano or AnaLet? I hope she thinks Mariano.
==============================
Kirby Johnson: "Sneaky ole Wheelchair Drooler" - great nick for the creep!
AnaNebil:"...Nerina gave Gina the five-fingered faith healing POW-er of GEEZ-us!" "Ana LeggoMiTio" LOL
Diana: Smarmy charm - perfect description for TinTin's methods. He's as much a grifter as Gina ever was. You begin to wonder if they were birds of a feather or she taught him everything she knew?
Carviville: "So AnaLucia has been mistaken for 3 people now and she still has no hint of something being off?" My best guess is that Ana Lucia's character was not brought into the 21'st century when the B team of writers redid the original script. But, remember, she's not school savvy enough to realize what a library is for and what all you can find there, even. Her world is all Danz Aire.....a paper cutout of a character as per Uni-usual.
Jarifa: it would serve Mariano right to be blackmailed by his spoiled brat psycho-sickie niece IMHO. She nearly did attempt that I thought and then the point was just blown over and forgotten.
Leticia: "putcheros"--absolutely!! Gruel.....Sheesh!
Vivi: I truly think that Viridiana knew she was there and was putting on a show for Ana MiMiMineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Clawdia might be amused at the prospect of the meeting between the two sisters ending up in Ana Lucia's favor. I think that for this to be the case Mariano, Ernestina, and Ana Laura should meet her first.
If Claw is smart (and she does seem to be smart), she will sit on her AnaLu info for a while, and sniff around to find out just how much this info is worth. But she can't sit on it too long if we're in ultimas semanas (I think someone said).
I think the writers are missing a more interesting story line by keeping the sisters separated. I can do without the Marc/Santi struggle, who killed Gina, etc. What I am interested in is how AnaLu reacts when she finds out she is a triplet. Can you imagine going your whole life and suddenly walking into a room where 2 other people have your face? The emotional and psychological impact has to be huge. I want to see how she navigates it and how she builds a relationship with her sisters. I can do without the melodrama and want something deeper. As much fun as AnaLet is I wish they didn't make her a psycho killer, just an annoying witch. That way AnaLu's return would have more consequences for everyone. AnaLet knowing about AnaLu and her husband just diminishes the impact of her return.
AB should do a comedy. The look on her face when Tio said "You still here?" after he kissed Viri was a hoot.
Enjoyed all the comments and I've nothing new to add. Looks like Remedio, Ramiro, and Viri all better watch their backs.
Good to see you Buddy.
-- She demands all of anyone's love and attention, particularly that of men
-- She doesn't want to share her potential inheritance(s) (Psst! Ernestina, Mariano, leave it all to charity)
She sees attention and love as a zero-sum game while not wagering any of her own on it.
Ana Laura has other issues, but she isn't bothered by being an identical.
Ana Lucia may be shocked at the discovery until she remembers the accident.
I have actually known several identical boys, and they all seemed to be more or less like most other brothers, with an occasional swicheroo thrown in as mischievous boys are wont to do. For some reason the ones I have been around seemed to be a bit more rascally at school. But it may be that Moms seem better at telling them apart than mere mortals.

Great Job, Jardinera.
