Vino el Amor #48 Friday Jan 6th 2017)-- Lucia leaves again aka we've seen this episode before. (Full Recap)
Lucia looks down a hallway and recalls happier times as a child with Miguel. He knows where her thoughts have gone and he says he didn't want her to remember the vineyard sadly. She says he's succeeding. He pulls her in for another of his overly eager mauling and smacky kiss sessions. I can't.

"Oh you have no idea how much fun this chick is David. Give her a rock and she'll really blow your mind"
"She's such a gross broad"
After a week of Carlos and Susan, Leon and Sonia was a treat.
Uhhh, did Miguel and Lucy, you know, San Francisco in the cellar and it was cut? One minute lip smack and next Miguel got his shirt mostly off and blanket spread.
Anyway, as suspected those Davey inspired faraway looks by Luciana last few days meant nothing.
Oh Juan, those high, highs and low, lows.
Well, the wheels have not come off yet for NOJuan and DisGrace, but four of the lug nuts are loose / missing already.
NOJuan seems to be feeling a little 'shake' in his steering wheel?
Girl, you crack me up:
Oh you have no idea how much fun this chick is David. Give her a rock and she'll really blow your mind.
Bobby says shut it heffas Lucia told me she was coming back and that's how it will be.
The door to his office isn't sealed well because a snake slithers in under it while close.
That's only a few. You really make the lather/rinse/repeat bearable! Who wrote this drivel? I almost wish that Lisa had died of cancer so Gracie wouldn't have blood on her hands and just take David away since he hasn't got sense enough to tell Luciana he loves her, or to fight for her. Luciana, on the other hand, is lying to Miguel, lying to herself, lying to David. I wish she and Miguel would both take their asses back to Mexico and be done with it.
Ok, this is my usual rant. Hope some of my friends come on with more cerebral comments. These people killin' me.
I so loved this part: ..."he's surprised to discover the fun side of DisGrace that he didn't know. Oh you have no idea how much fun this chick is David. Give her a rock and she'll really blow your mind." Oh and loved your #killerdate. You hit the nail right on the head. Or the rock on the head...
Then you said this regarding Juan: "Juan comes back to his office to find Sonny Crocket and Ricardo Tubb (Miami vice shout out!) waiting for him." Well I am glad that it turned out looking more Miami Vice than a couple of homeboys from East Los Angeles! (which is not that far from me, so I know what I'm talking about)
Oh and: "Hi Brian. He looks super excited to see her..NOT! She's there to see if he knows about Lucia's visa issues. He confirms he does and she warns him not to help her..or suffer the consequences. Enough of this stupid plot." That's how I'm feeling. Why is Lilian pretending to be of the "rich and famous" when she is having to leech off of David for her room and board? Didn't she at one time tell Gracie that Fernando left her with nothing when he died? Why then does she dread going back to San Diego, isn't it because she doesn't have a luxurious place to live there?
I don't know why Ferbrat thanks Tia DisGrace for bailing out Tano. They didn't actually have to use the bail money because old slime bucket Mark dropped his charges to blackmail Susan.
Last of all, loved your #DieInAFireMark. Well hopefully he will die a painful and tortuous death when this all ends.
Helen
You spun silk out of burlap.
In addition to what tofie and Lila noted, I also loved "Smuguel", "#KillerDate" and of course, "#FreeMiguel #FreeMe #LocoLucia".
I think Miguel is a very nice young man. But he is too clingy and (although likely unintentional) overbearing. Instead of murmuring sweet nothings and nibbling Luciana gently, indulging in sweet, passionate kisses, he does indeed indulge in "overly eager mauling and smacky kiss sessions". Basta.
I was so happy to see you are enjoying Veronica. If this show serves no purpose other than to showcase the amazing comedic talents and acting prowess of this delightful goddess, then I won't rue giving up an hour of my life each night to watch this otherwise uninteresting and uninvolving drivel. Sigh.
Now, I like Leon. I really do. But I couldn’t help but smile seeing him in that “Mi-Senor shirt”. I sincerely doubt that was Gabe Soto’s shirt. If so, Leon would have been drowning in it.
When David found out Luci's plight and saw her, I hoped for a longing embrace and a firework's display of kisses. No. Of course not. Can anyone think of any TN in which the lead romance has progressed at such a snail's pace? I certainly cannot.
"Ramon says don't worry, one has to learn to lose". First, it's sad that such a good man is being shunted aside for Brian. Second, here's one of the few great, likeable characters. So instead of using him, yes, let's shunt him aside so more time can be given to the perpetually whining and obnoxious Perla and Carito.
Lila, thank you for your wise (and very funny) "I almost wish that Lisa had died of cancer so Gracie wouldn't have blood on her hands and just take David away since he hasn't got sense enough to tell Luciana he loves her, or to fight for her. Luciana, on the other hand, is lying to Miguel, lying to herself, lying to David. I wish she and Miguel would both take their asses back to Mexico and be done with it". Well said amiga. I have nothing to add.
I'm starting to wonder if there is going to be anything fresh and new introduced or if it will indeed be "Wash/Rinse/Repeat".
Delilah, this was awesome! Thank you so much.
Diana
Sonia, Leon, Grsciela Ramon and Juan are the only good characters....Oh I forgot to mention the clingy Miquel and wishywadhy Lucia are the worst. Writers take lessons from stellar writers from ECDLP....class novela.
When David found out Luci's plight and saw her, I hoped for a longing embrace and a firework's display of kisses. No. Of course not. Can anyone think of any TN in which the lead romance has progressed at such a snail's pace? I certainly cannot.
*Sigh* I've never seen anything like this! Why didn't they make Gracie and David the leads, craft a different story and let Miguel and Luciana be the second tier romance. I've already dumped one novela, I'm going to hang with this one but they sure aren't making it easy.
I also loved Leon and Sonia's discovery that they both love romance novels. I Googled it and there IS a book called An Oasis in the Desert! Too funny! Sonia is a kinky nerd but I find her and Leo's relationship more interesting than the story of the stomping, pouting, self-centered Luci and spineless, anencephalic Dave!
Lila, I am enjoying Leon and Sonia too and you pretty much summarized in your last line why I do not enjoy Luci and David. Although I do think they're well suited to each other with their stomping around and grumpiness.
Last night I was saying to my husband that people are enjoying El Color de la Pasion because it is interesting and fast-paced and well acted/written. And people like me keep watching Vino el Amor because it is dumb and fun to make fun of.
Dy77 ...it appears that you and I are sitting alone at Miguel's table here on the patio. Yikes...I had no idea how much people hated him.
Leo and Sonia are definitely the comic relief. It is cute that they both enjoy romantic novels. I hope that we get to see some role playing. Maybe Sonia will buy Leo the lion a puffysleeved shirt because I don't think that Dave has any of those in his closet.
Lila, years ago our blogmom Jane pointed out to me that the really bad telenovelas are the most fun because of the snatk that they inspire. I think that she was right!
I've been watching Vino since it started it Mexico and what I can tell you is that these two characters are absoloute scene-stealers!! Verónica Jaspeado is a real goddess and I think José Eduardo Derbez has a bright future in acting! They are both wonderful, and even if you like nothing else in this TN, it's worth sticking with it for their storyline alone!
Susanlynn, I don't hate Miguel, I just feel betrayed. He's not the galan and he gets to slurp all over Luciana and we only got teased with two kisses between the so-called leads! We been robbed, I tell ya! I felt really sorry for Miguel when Luci told him she wasn't going to marry him. . .yet. You could see is heart drop right through the floor but he is hopeful and persistent. I think Miguel has never been off the vineyard and nurtured that flame he held for Luci as a little boy through the years of their separation and maybe has even saved himself for her!
Now, I don't hate Luci either but she is BIG-TIME playing with Miguel, holding out for David to do something definitive about. . . .whatever it is he's feeling. Miguel deserves someone who REALLY loves him, not some one who cares for him. He's never looked beyond the idealized object of his puppy love and he pressed Luci immediately upon her return to fulfill his long held dreams. BUT, I saw that spark between him and Erika, there was more than interest when he had that brief face-off with her over his Vino el Amor. I want Erika to come back and give Luci some competition and show Miguel how a woman acts when she's REALLY into a man.
So, I'm at Dave's table but I won't throw rocks at y'all! (Watch out for DisGracie's table, though! ;D )
C'mon, Erika, do like Calgon and take Miguel awaaaaay!
Un camino hacia el destino was a light show and I was highly entertained so it can be done. Yo No, dark and heavy, had two actors in this once including the galan and both are capable of stellar performances but not here. However, it hasn't sunk to La Gata or Sueño de amor stupid, YET.
The main couple is Miguel and Luciana but I bought the promotional bait and switch. I get David having the hots for Luciana but that's it. She plays naive, torments him and when David hugs her there's a creepy uncle vibe.
During Miguel's first brush with Erika he acted normal but interested so I think he (character and actor) is capable of something other than predatory lust.
Ramon is ruined by remaining in Marta's orbit.
The actors Kimberly Dos Ramos (Graciela), Christian de la Campa (Juan) and Emilio Beltrán (Bobby) have done the most with what was given them.
I'm entertained by Perla and Carito, glad we got them. Actually, Irina Baeva should be glad too. The most animated believable work she's done is opposite them.
One thing I don't understand about Juan, the illegals and the girl that left (did she just disappear, or is escaped too strong a word). Is it too much for me to wonder if all these people go out to work and then come back to this enclosure at night? They all look like recien llegados, not folks who have been there for awhile. So the girl disappeared because she had a problem with her boss? Why would they know that if they've been shut in there.
I guess if they are all illegal, were placed in jobs but have no place to go, I guess they would return to what looks like a converted truck trailer. But no food, water or medicine? C'mon, give me another break. Either give us the straight story or not, but don't give us such a weak storyline to hang on to.
What did Juan do with the earlier bunch?
tofie--I'm with you. I'm spending entirely too much time trying to make sense out of the story. Basta ya! When Luci and David finally get together it will all be an anti-climax!
OT..Lila, if you have the Starz channel, They are having an all day OUtlander marathon today.
Lisa..Thanks for the heads up on the LEo\Sonia storyline. I want to see some role-playing of that romance novel !!! Heaven knows that we have not had much romance in this novela so far.
She is turning tricks for Coyote now.
Duh....they made a point of mentioning she was young....and pretty....big eyes....long hair.... Hello.
I think that the chemistry between the main characters has been off since the beginning of this show. Maybe the casting is off. What is the best chemistry you have seen in telenovelas?
Regarding Sonia and her lion cub (I think it's hilarious she calls him that)... I don't want to give you spoilers but there are many beautiful scenes between them in the next episodes!
Gab Soto does not do it for me. I still remember him as ALonSLOW in Querida Enimiga...The galan who lost the leading lady to the hot chef. I like to see a galan who is a lIttle more animated and proactive.
And enough of those bedroom scenes of crabby, bitter Lilian and gutless GUt. I do not want to see anymore of that.
Anon at 1:46. . .Big DUH for me too! I think you're right!
Ah, TSTSNBN! I was on that recap team and that stupid pile of trash was the best fun I've had recapping EVA! It was a total blast! It was sooo stooopid, there was nothing to do but PAR-TAY! Tofie's lists added immensely to the fun and the whole patio was a riot!
Susanlynn. . . thanks for the heads up on Outlander! I hope it will continue to be available on Starz for a while. I always like to read the book first!
Great question: Best ever chemistry -- I liked Letty and Fer in La Fea; Camila and Ricardo in Pasión; Damián and Marina in La Tempestad and Juan "del Diablo and Monica in Corazon Salvage 1993! There may be others!
I liked the chemistry between Luis and Hippolita in my first ever venture into the wonderful world of telenovelas ALborada and my second Amor Real (Manuel and Matilde).
Maite Perroni as Lechita & Arath de la Torre as Roberto in Antes muerta que Lichita. But only early in their budding romance. There was something beautiful in Lichita's awkward naivete and the scoundrel Roberto falling for her.
Flavio Medina as the twisted Daniel and Adriana Louvier as Maria Delores in Yo no creo en los hombres. He was a monster not the galan but there was a lot of chemistry between them before she realized he was trying to destroy her and then raped her. It was sick but the two of them together left a mark on me.
The plot hasn't moved since this has started. It's difficult to know if I've seen the episode before, the same stuff happens in every one.
This show has so many characters who have absolutely can not sense if the other person is into them or not. Miguel, she's clearly not as into you as you are to her.
Ramon, same with Marta
Carita, Miguel doesn't look twice at you
Fernanda, Tano isn't interested
Lilian, if you have to bribe a guy to stay away from someone he likes better, he's not going to suddenly prefer you
Cesar, Graciela hasn't ever giving you any signals that she's into you
And for the opposite
David, really? You have no idea that Graciela wants to rip your clothes off? She can't keep her hands off of you
Miguel, Carita has actually told you she wants you, why haven't you set her straight?
Tano, tell Fer that she's not ever going to be your girlfriend.
Leo perfectly explained why I don't like musicals!
I'm ready for something to happen.
I want to clarify that I too do not hate Smuguel, he just really grates my nerves because he's too eager, too touchy feelly and just plain all around too possessive. I don't like a guy that comes on so strong, he makes it almost impossible for you to tell him it's not gonna happen because he's pretty much telling you how it's going to be. I know Lucia hasn't helped because she hasn't been totally honest that she doesn't love him that way. Still every time Miguel opens his mouth, it's we ARE going to be together. We ARE going to get married, we ARE..we ARE. He has had this all figured out since the beginning.
As for Lucia, I don't hate her either. I think she has a lot of growing up to do though. She's very inexperienced with men and it seems has lead a very sheltered life. I think she has been very confused on what is real love. Is it this warm secure relationship she has with Miguel? Or is it this stirring thing she has with David? I think once David really really lets go with her and shows her how to be loved by a man who has already lived (no offense to Miguel) she will understand. David has been married, he has learned the nuances of women, marital partnerships and being secure in a 'couple'. I think Miguel has an idea of who he wants Lucia to be and not who she really is. That doesn't necessarily mean I think David is Lucia's forever. I think a young woman like her should get out and live but this is a tn and that's not likely. I just don't see Miguel as her forever. He needs to live a little more too.
DisGrace would be great for David in my opinion if she weren't a cold blooded murderer. She's smart, beautiful and savvy about life. What a pity.
In my perfect world, Sonia gets a bit of a little makeover and catches Mi Senor's attention and he slowly courts her and brings all of her pent up passion and dreams to life! She finally gets her man, the house and the kids she wanted.
Oh you have no idea how much fun this chick is David. Give her a rock and she'll really blow your mind.
Bobby thinks things are boring without Lucia and his father (I hear you, try 43 eps of a novela with them only kissing twice kid).
Juan comes back to his office to find Sonny Crocket and Ricardo Tubb (Miami vice shout out!) waiting for him.
The door to [Brian's] office isn't sealed well because a snake slithers in under it while closed. Hi Brian. He looks super excited to see her..NOT!
You're going to have to earn being on my good side. I wonder where that is, cause I sure haven't seen it yet.
The only movement we have is the police investigation of the ruined wine. At least we have some detectives who look and sound authentic.
One new point: How on earth does Luciana's deportation matter when she was a child at the time? She was a child and was deported with her father! From a legal perspective there was no wrongdoing on her part. Even her resistance can't be held against her.
I hope tomorrow's episode reveals the contents of that box. I'm sure it's nothing good coming from DisGracie.
Lisa, welcome to our little gabfest. Can you tell us how the ratings are in Mexico?
One thing that bugs me in the title credits is the failure to show David and Luciana kissing for real. That isn't a good sign.
I missed this episode, but I'll have to check out Sonia and Leon's date. Sounds like a hoot.
At this point, I don't care who Luciana winds up with. I'm tired of her endless goodbye tours.
Perla finally showing a little itty bitty kernel of humanity called a heart for the illegal immigrants, particularly the missing girl, was welcome. I'm still not sure if it means anything karma-wise, but for two scenes Perla wasn't a raging bitch and it was nice.
This recap did beautifully highlight the one ongoing PITA about this show's A-story--it's stuck in a loop. Somebody says or does something that makes David freak out with regard to Luciana, he runs to her, they have the same damn conversation over and over with the occasional deviation to "Why didn't someone tell me X was happening?" It's almost as repetitive as The Bold and the Beautiful for us English-language soapheads (but still leagues behind the legendarily circular Passions), and just as annoying. At this point I'm not even counting Lilian in the A-story any more; she's largely off dealing with Gutierrez, occasionally Juan, and her the-bitch-must-die hatred of Marta Ingalls (I have no idea who decided to frump up Cynthia Klitbo for this show, but it's strangely working for me--she just needs more plaid).
And now I kinda need to rewatch this episode just to see if the book Leon and Sonia cutely bonded over is indeed the actual novel An Oasis in the Desert.
Urban, this TN is doing well in Mexico, for this reason the company's executives have decided to add about 20 more episodes to it. So instead of finishing in mid-January, as it was originally planned, we will see the "Gran Final" on February 19.
This novela demonstrates that the writers have a lot to learn about the US. I hope that people in Mexico know that.
Lucy and Miguel keep telling David that they don't trust nojuan, why does he trust him because their friends? they were friends in college shouldn't some bells and whistles go off especially when it came to that land that his dad offed himself over. And didn't it cross David's mind that maybe somewhere in the back of juan's brain that he's angry because his daddy killed himself over a deal that went sour because of David? He's not
Thinking at all.
You right about lil, she ain't all that, or nothing else. I can't see MartA forgiving the gut-man for what he did. Maybe after some years pass. It could be a time lapse, he's gotten a permotion to police commissioner or
Something.Then maybe...but then theres
Ramon. But I can't see her with him as
Nice as he is, like mig and Lucy no heat.
