Vino el Amor, Lunes 3/27/17 Chapter 101: Marking Territory

Fernanda said she had no problem with her father falling in love with someone like her Aunt Gracie. David was not pleased with this.
Fernanda, love doesn't work like that,” he said.
I thought that would please you.”
Don't misinterpret me,” he said. “but I can't be with whomever you want.”
Whenever I try to get close to you to talk you about this and you end up not being happy.”
Understand this, Fernanda, I want to be with the woman I love, not with whom you decide.”
So therefore, what does my opinion matter if you're just going to do what you want?” [Por Dios, who is the parent here?]
Don't misinterpret this, please.”
And the worst of it all is to be with Luciana you argue with me rather than pay attention to me.”
That is absurd.”
Papa, neither do you pay attention to me when I want to be with my friends –”
I want you to concentrate on your studies. Then you can see them –”
Yes, Papa, but you try to make me accept Luciana.”

Gracie tried talking to Lillian about Brian, but her mother did not seem to be in the mood. Sonia interrupted to tell Gracie that Andersen was waiting to talk to her in the study. Gracie was a little confused, but left to meet him. Lillian told Sonia that she had broken up with Brian. Further she was not going to do any PR for him. After Sonia walked out Lillian called Adolfo.  Lillian mused “I hope they medicate her.”

I thought therapy was making you better but I see that it hasn't. It's all the same with your tantrums and whims.”
Papa, don't you see that I don't like fighting with you.”
Do you think I do?”
Doesn't anything I say matter to you?”
Of course. You and your brother are the most important thing to me. That's why it's important to continue with your therapy.”
Papa, don't want to continue with therapy. It makes me think about a lot of things, things that hurt me.”
What are you referring to? What things?”
Thanks to the doctor I see that I feel very alone and I want a mother. I'm much younger than you. I want my aunt because she's ideal. Papa, you can be with whomever you want. That doesn't mean I have to accept her.”
She walked out of the room.
Sonia entered to tell David that Anderson was waiting to talk to him.

Juan went to Brian's office to tell him that Mark was gone. He had no information but thought he had his latest address. Brian said he might have a problem with his latest event because Lillian now refused to help him. Juan said not to worry because he could count on him. He then left.

Anderson started telling Gracie that Fernanda saw her as a maternal figure. She was satisfied. When David entered the office Anderson said that since Fernanda needed a maternal presence she should be spending more time with Gracie. David did not agree. Anderson said that if this did not happen he was concerned that Fernanda would commit some self-destructive act. Either Fernanda spends more time with Gracie or she would have to be medicated. David didn't like either option and said he would talk to the “doctor” later. Anderson took his leave.
Gracie told David to calm down. After all, he doesn't want Fernanda to be medicated does he? She also invaded his personal space again in her usual manner.

Luciana thanked Tano for his help during the water crisis. He was looking forward to returning to school and hoping his father would be proud of him. Marta congratulated him and said she would make something special to eat.

Erika and Miguel were in the study, talking work and love.

Gracie hypocritically told David that maybe he should get a second opinion. He told her that he had tried but Fernanda wouldn't talk to Dr. Ramos. She said they needed to do something. He opened another element of the subject with her.
Anderson said that you have stayed single to help take care of my children.”
Really?”
Thus, you are looking to take Lisa's place.”
She looked a little shocked.
Well, I never thought about it but now that you've mentioned it –”
Well, if that's it you can benefit from therapy.”
She denied this, of course, with her usual battle cry of “doing this for the good of my family.”
It's not good for you to give up your life for Fernanda. Nor for her.”
But if choose to do this it is no sacrifice. If she needs a mother and if it's me she doesn't need medication. If it helps Fer I'll have therapy, but if you think about it, David, it's not a good time for me to separate from your daughter now.”
David did not look convinced.

Perla tried to convince Carito to return so she could give a statement against Mark. Carito was still afraid but Perla told her that ending this nightmare would depend on her.

Marta was still feeling bad about the previous few days. Leon had forgiven her. However she was still waiting for Fernanda to forgive her. Then Fernanda arrived and asked to talk to Luciana.

Adolfo asked Lillian if she planned on attending the wine competition. She wasn't sure because “I might have to mind the children. She also mentioned ending her association with Brian because he thought she was “too avant-guarde” for him regarding her PR “work.”

Fernanda didn't want to talk to Marta. She thanked Luciana for her help with Tano. Luciana told her that despite their past differences she hoped everything was going well with her. Not for her father's sake but for hers. She asked her if she would talk to Marta and Fernanda refused. She left.

Adolfo told Lillian he'd like to spend more time with her. Lillian's cell rang. Adolfo left the table. The caller was Juan and Lillian taunted him that David had sholved his water problem. Luciana had started that ball rolling with the Santa Barbara vineyard and now all was normal. This ticked him off. He told her to be careful of what she does and she told him she would do what suits her. She grinned as she ended the call.

Fernanda went into the cava to find Tano mopping the floors. Nothing new happened here except that this time it was Gracie who interrupted them. She invited them to go out to dinner with her but Tano begged off for work reasons. As soon as he left with the tools of his trade Gracie poured some more poison into Fernanda's ear. “Watch out for Luciana; she's just like Marta.” [Really, how the hell could anyone believe that unless they desperately wanted to?]

Luciana and David were in the distillery working. She told him she needed to go to the Santa Barbara vineyard to speak with Ericka, who asked her to come. David wasn't so sure about that.

Fernanda said that perhaps her father was right and she needed to continue her therapy alone. Gracie went on about lowering her guard around Luciana. Fernanda told her this would not happen and Gracie continued with her passive/aggressive garbage. Fernanda said she didn't want any more problems with her father.
I told my father I wanted him to be happy and it's okay if he wants a girlfriend if it's someone like you.”
Naturally – or otherwise – this pleased Gracie. She hugged Fernanda with a satisfied grin that the girl didn't see.

David and Susan were talking and he told her that he didn't like the idea of Luciana going over to the Santa Barbara vineyard. Susan tried to reassure him. When Tano entered David told him to tell Fernanda that she was not to abandon her studies.

Ericka was in her study working. She wore a sexy red top. Luciana arrived and after a few opening pleasantries it was obvious that Ericka was marking her territory when she told Luciana she didn't want her anywhere near Miguel. Luciana could see her insecurity.

Tano assured David that he wanted the best for Fernanda. He told him he would be going back to college to be worthy of her. David told him to do it for himself. This conversation ended in agreement.

Ericka and Luciana talked about Miguel and about Luciana's not being with David. Luciana told Ericka that this did not mean she would revive things with Miguel. They got up to go out to examine the irrigation system when Miguel arrived and suggested that the three of them so do together.

César and Susan ate lunch together from Chinese takeout containers at her desk. They talked about Mark and a few inconsequentials.

David told the faaaaaaaaaamily at lunch that he would be going over to the other vineyard later to check on the irrigation system. Since he had given Marta the day off he asked Lillian to take care of the children.

Ericka, Luciana, and Miguel returned and someone came in to tell Ericka that the workers' quarters were ready for inspection. She marked her territory very pointedly by kissing Miguel before leaving the room and giving Luciana a look. Luciana looked a little exasperated.

David tried to get Fernanda to talk with Marta but she refused. Lillian took her side, but David was adamant. This did not become an argument; David was in no mood for that. He made it clear to Fernanda that he wanted her to talk to Marta as soon as she was better. Bobby got curious about why there was this tension between Fernanda and Marta but Lillian told him this was cosas de adultos and the adults closed ranks on that.

Luciana and Miguel were sitting on the couch still talking when Ericka came back. They had been talking mostly about work and his dreams of his own vineyard but when Ericka returned it was just on the heels of Miguel asking Luciana about her relationship with David.

Ramón and Marta talking and afterward on what looked like a date. Brian arrived at the same restaurant with a comment about Marta not being alone for long. No one had a chance to react to this because Luciana arrived and asked Brian why he was harassing her mother.

Fernanda talked with Tano. FF – >

Bobby was tossing and turning while having a nightmare.

David and Luciana were in the study talking about Ericka's jealousy. They were interrupted by Gracie bringing Bobby down. He told them his nightmare about seeing Marta and Luciana in heaven with his mother. David told the boy that nobody was going away. Bobby winked at Luciana, but this went unseen by the others. David said he wanted to talk to Bobby alone. Graciela grabbed his arm in her usual way and pretended to be amiable in front of him before leaving the room. Luciana then stepped out. Bobby described his nightmare again and David told him this would not happen. However, the boy said he was getting on better with Gracie.

Ericka confided her problem with Luciana to her father. He rold her that she should not be so insecure because that would affect her relationship with Miguel.

Gracie was being her usual snobbish self to Sonia when she arrived at the breakfast table. Fernanda came down to say she had an appointment with Anderson. She clearly was not happy about this. Gracie looked at her out of the corner of her eye.

David walked into the study at the Santa Barbara vineyard and found Miguel working at the desk. The inspection of the irrigation system was obviously a smokescreen for David's intent to mark his territory.

No editing; I had a playback issue last night and had to watch full screen while taking notes by hand.

Thank You Urban. A fun retelling of our "As the Snail Crawls".

You know, I have never seen anyone throw it into reverse going ninety miles an hour like DisGrace did last night when David recommended therapy for H E R. Too funny the backpedaling and blubbering. She should at least go get her transmisssion looked at.!

Admit it, Erika is a plain and simple little bitch. A Luuuurrrrve like she has never known with Smuguel? What's it been three weeks and two hops on the sofa ? Yeah you two are Romeo and Juliet alright.

Urban you must have one of those 'Stenotype' machine that the court stenographers use.to have gotten all this on the fly. WOW

Thank you UA. You got it all.

One thing stuck out for me. During the conversation between Cesar and Susan about Mark's involvement Cesar immediately surmised this must be a smokescreen Juan was using to cover his deep participation.

"Miguel asking Luciana about her relationship with David" There is a big difference between Luciana telling Miguel she is happy for him in his relationship with Erika and progress at Santa Barbara and putting a stop once and for all to Miguel's plan for Luciana to be his woman one day. She just cannot bring herself to tell Miguel she loves David and plans to be with him despite the current struggles. She won't do this because she intends to be with Miguel ultimately. The love story of two poor immigrant workers, practicing their trade and given support by vineyard owners that do it for love but one day the workers will dump the vineyard owners, acquire their own land, reunite and live happily ever after. David and Erika must know this deep down and their insecurities are based in reality but ugly to watch.

I'm bored thinking of 40+ episodes of idiot David and jealous Erika until they die or come unraveled opening the way for a couple I care nothing about.

Well said Tofie. For me there is nothing 'Noble' to root for in this show, only hopes that the evil ones will get theirs S o m e d a y and I can see their punishment.

Urban, your “marking territory” theme was inspired. Your excellent screen shots, superbly written summary and conversation translations melded together for an outstanding recap.

"passive/aggressive garbage" had me smiling away.

"Lillian mused “I hope they medicate her.” Am I correct in that Lili was referring to Fernanda? If so, she has crossed the line into Graciela's irredeemable territory. Despicable.

There is hindsight, foresight and here, lack of sight. "I want my aunt because she's ideal. Papa, you can be with whomever you want. That doesn't mean I have to accept her.” I've defended Fernanda and while I always have the heartbreak she's headed for once Graciela's betrayal is revealed in the back of my mind, she is being beyond selfish and self serving. She knows David loves Luci and in her heart, she knows Luci is a good person. She's savvy and needs to realize she is being masterfully manipulated.

David seems to be coming out of his self inflicted haze. I was pleasantly surprised reading "you are looking to take Lisa's place” ...”“Well, if that's it you can benefit from therapy.” David knows the deal but is still allowing Graciela to twist he and Fernanda around her little finger.

Was also pleased at his exchange with Tano "He told him he would be going back to college to be worthy of her. David told him to do it for himself".

And Perla. Desperate, pleading, channeling all her energy and efforts on fragile, afraid and in grave danger Carito. "Carito was still afraid but Perla told her that ending this nightmare would depend on her". Talk about pressure.

Started this comment almost 2 hours ago. Finally back.

Erica is SO insecure. That kiss was painful to watch. And David had a hell of a nerve, staking his claim when he won't even stand up to his own daughter so they can get back together. Jealousy is ugly enough without chest puffing, grand standing and overtly aggressive (rather than loving) kissing. I did not blame Luci for her eye rolling and head shaking. I felt the same.

For what it's worth...I think Miguel wants to be heppy with Erica and forget Luci but he just isn't there yet.

UA, thanks for all the time and effort you put into this.

Diana

Tofie, your point about the conversation in Susan's office is valid. We have no idea how involved Juan still is in Mark's illegal activities. While we have seen him defend Perla the "artwork" in his apartment if far too telling that he has seen Perla as a convenience. He has been taking advantage of her since sometime before the story's time jump in the first week.

I do not agree about why she doesn't talk about David with Miguel. Everything in her life is on hold right now and she has two enemies with too much influence and a third who is waiting for one of the others to screw up. She also still has a few unresolved issues with her mother. That's more than enough on her plate without possibly starting another argument with Miguel.

why prolong the agony of watching all these characters move in endless circles, marking their territory? You can see later episodes on YouTube, plus even snippets of the Final.

You could consider this like reading a very, very long novel in which the middle section is very, very boring and slow moving and you decide to peek at the end to find out what finally happened.

tofie, thank you for providing that important nugget re: Cesar's observation about Juan. Of course, he's right and Juan has thrown Mark to the wolves. Or so he thinks. I'm not convinced.

Diana

Diana, I think Lillian wants to medicate DisGracie. There have been times when she's so manic some have commented here that she could be bipolar. On top of narcissistic and sociopathic, that is quite possible.

I didn't edit this to join together the scene snippets but I think the number of blank lines in this one demonstrates how short attention spans are becoming. I sometimes think the actors are a little frustrated when there are stares in places where there should be immediate responses to what others in the scene said.

That's a good observation, UA. The novela staredown/reaction shot is admittedly a cliché among clichés, but this fakakta show actually seems to be relying on it more as it goes along and it doesn't need to.

And after reading that nice recap you have my sympathy--this was largely a space filler blah blah blaaaarrrrg episode, perhaps only really noteworthy for Cesar's observation about Juan (which makes perfect sense), David's conversation with Tano about him and Fernanda and his straight up saying that Graciela wanted to take Lisa's place (which, judging from her reaction to it, may actually have been something she hadn't admitted to herself), and random painted-on pants. Luciana not taking Erika's bait about Miguel might have counted as personal improvement, considering, but it was counterbalanced by David going to chest-thump at Miguel like the idiot he often is. Forty episodes to go...

Thanks so much ,Urban, for going above and beyond to bring us this recap.

Kirby..Great close-up of the eagle.

I am short on time because I go back to work today , so just a few comments
First, I usually watch on our smaller tv in the living room, but last night I watched in HD on the big tv in the family room. Wow..Things really looked different..Every pore revealed in the close ups. Disgrace does look like a china doll with that very white complexion, platinum locks, and those grey eyes. Her expressions are mesmerising. I noticed that she is sidling up to Dave again and getting all grabby. I could tell he said something that did not please her, but I did not realize that he suggested that she talk to a therapist. Just do not pay for her to plot with DR.Evil Andersen.

Also, that scene of Fern pulling TAno to her and kissing him. More passion than we have seen before in this show. The actress seems to be enjoying herself. How selfish of her to want what she wants but not willing to allow her father to have the person whom he wants.

Again...Whenever someone sits on that sofa, I think " Do not sit there!!!" I wonder if Miguel had a flashback when he looked at Luci sitting there.

Thank you for noting that it was Grace Lili thinks needs therapy Urban. As well she does!

I keep focusing on Fernanda's reaction when Gracie is outed as a murderer. I keep forgetting how livid David will be. He will need to be physically restrained when this is revealed.

Diana

I'm just settling down to read the recap, but this episode did it for me. I am SO done with Dave. This conversation with Fernanda was inane and definitely not parental. It sounded like desperation to me.

And, is this the best he can come up with, that Gracie needs therapy? Gracie can't wait to start wearing an ID badge that says, Hello, I'm Fer's Stand-in Mommy. In her hip pocket she's saving the one that says, Hello, I'm Dave's Wife and his Children's Substitute Mother (and if you don't like it, I have a ROCK I can let you have).

Anita, you perfectly timed and expressed my thought on David. Last night did it for me. He is so ungalanish and pathetic. Deductions for making an absolute fool of himself over a young woman by pulling a Miguel on Miguel while doing nothing to support the young girl that makes him randy. He may have a sixpack bound up in his corset but got no balls in his pants. He allowed Graciela to hang on his arm right in front of Luciana as Bobby recounted his nightmare. David deserves to lose the girl.

I can only assume Marta is distracted by Brian and rewarding him somehow for helping Leon and Luciana feel sorry for her and call that forgiveness. So distracted she forgot to tell David and Luciana of the master plan afoot to move Graciela in and Bobby out.

I cannot believe that DAve actually realizes that DIsgracie's plan is to fill LIsa's place, but he is still letting her stay in his home. I actually knew someone who was able to wear a mask for many years before he revealed his true nature...A bipolar narcissist, so I suppose that DAve does not see who DJsgrace really is.

Classically Urban. Thank you for your always excellent writing and delivery, despite playback issues. It certainly didn't feel like anything unpolished.

So, it all comes to a head--Ultimas Semanas (thank heavens). I hope this does NOT give DisGracie time to get David into bed and feign a pregnancy and lead him to the altar. There are too many (un)-interesting loose ends to resovle, namely who's going to die in the line of fire.

BTW--I was totally taken off guard by Azela winning Best Villana for VEA. I mean, really, who was watching this show? She is not in the same class with herself in YNCELH, Kimberly, Laura Carmine (twice over), Daniela Castro, Claudia Alvarez, Marjorie de Sousa and in La Piloto, who can out-do María Fernanda Yepes as Zulima for evilness.

If anyone from this crop should have been nominated it was Kimberly.

I am anxious to see how DIsgracie murdering LIsa will be revealed. We know that some kind of damaging evidence is on the cellphone that Juan has, so he will be involved. Are the actors up to playing the emotions that should be seen when this awful fact is revealed? Dave? Fer? Bobby? Lilian??

I am tired of the writers teasing us about the Marta, GUT, RAmon triangle. Blah

Adolfo , run for the hills . You are a nice dude who should not get involved with the wicked witch

Susanlynn: David is just STUPID! He still doesn't have any idea that Graciela is a complete psychopath, having whacked Lisa.

Anita: I'm glad that we're now in Ultimas Semanas as we're now in the home stretch!

Tofie: It's also looking like we're going to see the end of the Gutierrez & Marta drama at some point.

UA-- I think when Juan severed his "working" relationship with Mark and told him to go to Colorado (where the latest batch of illegals are being deposited), he had no intention of giving up the business at this end. Though dangerous, it's easy money, money he needs to keep his vendetta alive and run his Olive Oil Empire.

OTOH, I don't think Mark went that far away. He's dumb enough and crazy enough to hurt Soosan and Cesar, so he needs to stay around. Carito should not come back. Perla and Juan can declare without her.

Oh, and Erika needs to have a hospital crisis, yet. They didn't make us aware of her asthma for nothing. OTOH, she made it fine in Spain all those years.

FWIW, Cesar studied in France. I'm putting all of Amor Bravio on discs and I got to the previews for VEA and that's where he went and came back.

Thanks, Urban. I agree with you about the "number of blank lines." I don't think the issue is short attention spans. My attention span isn't great, but it's actually harder for me to absorb anything when scenes are sliced up in so many pieces. I don't interrupt my own conversations five times to listen to someone else's conversation or go to a commercial; it's crazy that we have to tolerate this.

I don't know why they chop up the scenes. Maybe they think people's attention spans are too short, but if so I think they're wrong. I suspect the real reason for the frequent cuts is to make it look as though a lot is happening when in fact very little is taking place.

Contrary to Fernanda's claims, David hasn't tried to "make" her accept Luciana. All he's done is tried to convince her not to kill herself over Luciana. I want Dr. Anderson to be fired soon. Really fired, with flames. He's the worst.

Grace in therapy! Ha ha ha! Oh I hope that happens and I hope we get to see it. Grace, you should do it for the faaaaamily!

Just once, I'd like someone (like Dave) catch someone (like Grace) making an evil smirk behind someone's back.

Lilian "too avant-garde?" LOL, right. Did she read that phrase in a magazine? Does she know what it means?

Funny how Erika summoned Luci just to tell her to stay away from Miguel. If Erika hadn't summoned her, Luci wouldn't have seen Mig that day. But I can see that David is just as insecure as Erika. Maybe they should be a couple.

"Bobby winked at Luciana, but this went unseen by the others." Whoa! It went unseen by me, too. What was that all about?

BTW, I updated Friday's "recap" with all the Patio contributions that Anita so kindly assembled for me. Thanks again!!

Bobby is a clever lad. Good thing he's on the right side in this story. I can picture him being friends with the twins from MCET. I think Bobby manipulated the situation in Marta and Luciana's favor knowing that DisGracie and Lillian want them gone. What is lacking in this situation may be that he doesn't realize that DisGracie intends to become the next Mrs Robles.

I just checked back about 40 episodes and saw that Marta knew about DisGracie's previous attempt to get Bobby shipped off to Spain. The writers really dropped the ball on this one because she should have told David what she heard in the cafe. This would have put David on the warpath and gotten the two succubi out.

As to the China Doll Complexion and pale eyes I think this is all about lighting. I've known people in the real world whose eye color changed with the available light and this actress seems to have this trait (My eyes probably always look Clint Eastwood blue). There's been an episode or two where DisGracie's complexion almost looks normal; maybe she had the required consumption of a certain liquid protein before that scene.

Ah, so maybe the entire "nightmare" was a ruse. (Because he was calling for Marta and Luci in his sleep, wasn't he?)

It wouldn't surprise me at all if DisGracie drank blood. I keep waiting for it to happen.

HEY EVERYBODY--

DO CHECK OUT OUR UPDATED VERSION OF THE SONOMA MELLO YELLO PAGES. It looks Great, thanks, Julie.

Painted on Jeans?
Yeah those aerosol jeans leave little wiggle room. It looks like she doesn't even wear underwear, as those jeans are so tight even tan lines would show through.

:-)

Kirby: We both know what's likely to serve FerBratZilla right is the reveal of her precious Tia Graceila whacking Lisa (FerBratZilla's Mommy).

That'll teach the uppity brat to SHUT UP & get off her high horse. Tano, good luck buddy.

Anita: This is Eyewitness News Update brought to you by FerBratZilla's Rants.

"Good evening friends, there's still an APB Alert for Carito, who hasn't been seen since over 2 weeks ago ? "

"We'll keep you updated on the latest for Carito's whereabouts coming up on Eyewitness News Tonight!"

If FerBrat is smart enough (questionable) to understand how badly she has been deceived, she will most likely never trust anybody again.

Note to Tano: Either make hay while the sun shines, or figure on spending the major portion of the rest of your life rehabilitating FerBrat.

Thank you for the recap UA! I haven't had a chance to read the comments as I have to run out, so will catch up later.

Why doesn't David just once and for all tell Fer he is a grown ass man who has a right to finally move on after many years of grieving for his wife. He does not NEED his daughter's approval for dating, or her approval for who he falls in love with. If she wants to date Tano then he can date Lucia. This little biatch is working my last nerve with her spoiled rants.

As for the constant narrative of needing a mother, it has grown very thin. They have more females in that house than they can shake a stick at. Marta, Lilian, Grace and Sonia..have all stepped in to take over the role of mother in one way or another. What did Lisa do other than be there emotionally for her children? I'm not minimizing her role, but it's not like these children have suffered physically from her death. What they miss is her love and attention and the bond they had with her.

I was a fan of Erika in the beginning, but now she's just to damn needy and jealous. All her marking of territory is unattractive. What's next? Is she going to pee on Miguel?

Marta and her crying..enough woman! That said, she needs to just get back with Brian. It's obvious it's him she wants. I like Ramon but he's dull as dirt and I don't see Marta falling for him. If that happens the show fails..it's too predictable and forced.

When will we be done with Skidmark and NoJuan? Zzzzzz.

"I was a fan of Erika in the beginning, but now she's just to damn needy and jealous".

Interesting Delilah.

You started me thinking, this is not the first time a strong woman has been inexplicably morphed into a weaker, far more fragile character. Remember Susan 100 episodes go?

Was it too much to ask to have one woman who is independent and fierce? Apparently.

Luci has survived many catastrophes but even she seems indecisive and unsure of what she wants.

Anita, I totally agree with you that Erica's health was mentioned for a reason. Will her illness serve as a jarring awakening for Miguel or will it be fatal so he can mourn her loss indefinitely. I fear Carito is a certain casualty.

Diana

Carito certainly doesn't owe anything to Juan and Perla. I hope she stays right where she is.

No she doesn't owe Perla anything Julie and yes, Carito should definitely stay put.

While I don't think Perla is intentionally putting Carito in danger, she is clearly wrapped up in her own terror and doesn't realize she is likely sealing her only real friend's doom.

Perla is spiraling out of control, circling the drain and will pull Juan down with her unless he decides to handle Mark "personally".

Diana

Circling the drain, ha ha, yes.

And if Juan tries to handle Mark "personally," he will probably end up being the one getting "handled." Juan has the upper hand over Mark as far as the justice system is concerned, but if we're talking mano-a-mano I suspect Juan is screwed.

SkidMark and NoJuan: In a world of infinitesimal differences, even the smallest amount is an advantage/disadvantage. Though they are both rotten to the core, NoJuan is a hair's breadth better than SkidMark. In the totally rotten world, the most rotten and devoid of any character and feelings wins. SkidMark.

Mark is a bit more brawny and quite a bit less "brainy" than Juan.

Juan may outfox Mark mentally but there is a lot to be said for Mark's unabated rage and anger. A combustible mixture.

I give Mark the edge too Julie and Kirby.

Diana

OTOH: In a wonderful world where even babies don't cry, everyone finds true love, and dreams always come true, THEY KILL EACH OTHER. !

They could both fall into the Smush-O-Matic and be smushed.

Thanks, Urban.

Yay, últimas semanas! Hopefully this means David wakes up and throws off his leeches. Love that he said DisGrace needs therapy too.

I need someone to slap the crap out of her. Unfortunately, the only one likely is DisGrace when she's finally defeated and tells the little ninnie off.

Erica is pathetic. Somebody needs to slap her too.

Perla actually doesn't bother me anymore. She's selfish and stupid, but she does have real problems. And I actually find the bickering between her and Juan realistic. I vote them most interesting couple.

"I need someone to slap the crap out of Fer."

Yeah, like many of you, i do not think that Marked went to Colorado which is good news for Colorado, but not such good news for a few people in Sonoma. What I have learned through life and telenovelas is that dumb is dangerous. Dumb with delusions of grandeur is really dangerous.

Carito has been following Perla around like a puppy since they were kids, and Puppy Perla has been following Juan around since she was a little girl. Add Marked to that mix and you have a recipe for disaster. So , who will be going to jail, and who will die? Carito, you were smart enough to get out of town..stay there ! And you know that SHeriff Brian is going to right smack in the middle of this ending. Will Marta forgive him if he nearly dies going after the bad guys?

I wasn't even half-joking when I suggested that skidmark and juan should fall into some sort of crushing/mashing machinery. I've been wanting to see a mechanical death for almost as long as I've been watching TNs. I thought for sure that Sara in Querida Enemiga would end up in a trash compactor, and I'm still disappointed that she didn't (though I admit her actual fate was much more imaginative.)

I've seen falls off of buildings, gunshot wounds, poisonings, car wrecks (with and without fire), and blunt force trauma, but no machinery other than cars. I'm not looking for Batman-style elaborate stuff, just a nice industrial accident.

Of course, it would suck for David to have to get human remains out of his own equipment, but maybe they could fall into olive-pressing equipment on Juan's property instead. I'm not picky about where it happens.

Niecie...right there with you on that quote. What a selfish brat. However, I think that it is not uncommon for kids to try to control their single parent's love lives. I have seen it happen. This telenovela has so many people trying to manipulate someone.

Julie..I watched Querida Enimiga , but I cannot remember SAra's anvil. All I can remember from that novel is the hot chef and Alonslow.

I am not much for death by machinery because I live in a rural community and some of the neighboring farmers have lost body parts to machinery or been killed by tractors.

As to terrible fates..one word..coyotes. Ew

Susanlynn - Sara ended up in prison, where she was reunited with the mother who had abandoned her in a trash can right after she was born. When we faded out, the two of them had their hands around each others' throats. Brilliant.

Since Mark killed El Coyote (God, show, really?...that name...) and Juan was party to it in some way, on top of all their other crap, I'm completely on board for both of them somehow ending up in a Smush-O-Matic out behind that one café everybody goes to in downtown Sonoma. Or some sort of accident involving Rosemary la Otra's magical knife-throwing machine. Or if Yolanda's plane del dia from La Piloto abruptly crashes on them. Or if Lisa's ghost rips out their hearts on her way to have a chat with Graciela. The possibilities, people, are endless...

Yes Julie, QE had an imaginative, startling ending. Wow. It still ranks in my top 10 TNs of all time.

Oooh, coyotes! Remember Kendra in Amores Verdaderos Susanlynn? Missing my telenovio Eduardo Yanez.

Diana

"Magincal knife-throwing machine" Bill??

Hmmm. I am intrigued...

Diana

Julie...yikes. Are these writers good enough to give us some satisfying and creative anvils. My problem with this show is that not only do I dislike the villains, but I also don't care for most of the supposedly good guys. Nobody to admire in this show. I like smart, strong galans and female leads with supportive family and friends.

Diana..yes, where is Big Ed? Has he given up telenovelas?

I keep waiting for miserable , grungy Mark to jump out of the bushes and kidnap Susan. It seems that we get daily reports in the papers of ex husbands and boyfriends going after their ex wives and ex girlfriends despite restraining orders against them. Too real. Mark is very dangerous.

Thanks loads, Urban! Really appreciate you, girl, giving us such a fine retelling when they only give us hash and rehash.

Really feeling Anita and tofie's comments around 10:40 this morning; Delilah at 2:30 and Niecie wanting to slap the crap out of Fer.

Really, show? No-brains-no-balls Dave letting Gracie, Dr. Evil and Fer tell him who he can love? And what's wrong with Bobby pulling that "Tia Graciela saved me" crap? Did I miss something? That was so out of character, not to mention lame. And we're supposed to be all jazzed up because Dave goes over to SB and gits in Miguel's shit about Luciana? Oooooh! High drama! NOT!

Rehash, frustrating loops and missed opportunities. I can hardly get it up to fuss much anymore. I'm just hanging on for y'all.

Thanks again, Urb!

Does anyone know the telenovela that will follow Vino?

Lila, I'm just hoping that Bobby is playing Gracie somehow. Maybe he has a plan to get the goods on her.

Thanks, Julie!

I didn't see Bobby wink at LUci, but if he did, perhaps he is playing his auntie. He seems to be the smartest person in the fammmiiilllyyy.

Maybe DisGrace will have an aneurysm. She probably has not drawn a deep breath in a couple years the way her clothes fit.

Or if we believe this other shit in this show, Lisa's Rock comes to life and starts stalking her at night.

I DO like the Smush-O-Matic thing where they hear something funny (really) and run in and there is nothing but a twitching arm lying on the floor.

Holding a rock

Isn't the sequel to 'Along came Luuurve' next?

"Luurve Then Threw Up its Hands and Left'?

Perhaps Disgrace's anvil will be finally slipping down that slippery slope into complete madness when the truthiness is revealed. She appears to be remorseless about killing her sister. I would like to see her think that Lisa's ghost is haunting her.

Commenting again on the promos for VEO I watched transcribing Amor Bravio---the show has not in the least resembled the drama promised. In fact the promos were laughable. If only there was a way to file a lawsuit against Televisa AND Univision for bait and switch.

I think they had something going with the ICE round-up, the deportation, El Coyote trying to take Luci, the rock in the head and Lisa's death, the embezzling creep taking on Lil to keep her mouth shut and the return of DisGracie. It went downhill after that.

Urban, this Seems to be an episode of
Territory marking. These people and their territory markin. Erica is insecure. Miguel is flaky. Why is he
Askin about Lucy and david, that ain't
Non of his beeswax. And he's sneaky about too. It's not Lucy she should be
Concerned about its his nosy butt. Now
If she's got anymore business about that water pipe thingy she needs to go
Through Erica and stay away from mig.

I like the ? Ramon asked Marta. Does she still have feelings for Brian? No
Body gets that mad if the love is gone
They need to get on with the forgiving
But it'll be awhile before that comes.
And there's the kids to go through. Speakin Of kids...fernanda is tryin to blackmail Her dad into doing what her little selfish butt want. Ain't nothin wrong with her mentally she just plain selfish, tia crazy Is pushing that bad attitude. When is dav Gonna take off the blinders? Come on writers fix it.

Thanks Urban.

Anita.... Was there any mention of vests in those promos you saw? We certainly have gotten a lot of those. These writers seem to be flying by the seats of their pants and doing a lot of stream of consciousness writing. 🐰

I do remember one of those promos saying "destilando el odio!" and thinking it was a cool riff on Destilando Amor. Alas, Vino is no Destilando. But it is indeed chock-full of hate.

Julie...yeah, haters gonna hate, but where is the love and romance? Have love and romance gone out of style? Are they old-fashioned in today's world? Que lastima.🐦

Susanlynn: going off the network-level "2017" promo that aired last night, I suspect La doble vida de Estela Carrillo is the show that's replacing VEA. That said, since Univision can be utterly schizophrenic about scheduling, we'll have to wait for a show-specific pronto promo to be kindasorta sure.

Que lastima, indeed, Susanlynn! Romance is out of style and I guess principals, courage, mental and emotional competence are too! Wouldn't it be good if the leads had these characteristics, then they add fast-paced, intelligent and dramatic twists, piqued and satisfied our curiosity and rewarded our investment in the characters? And on top of this if they wrapped it up in fewer episodes instead of dragging the story on and on until the actors seem to be looking into the camera with a silent cry of "help!" or a bored stare of "it's a pay check."

Oh, well! :/

I will not be watching another Castro show. At least half of the recent episodes are "Kitchen/Bathroom Break" IE when Marta or Gut or Erika are on I go to another room.

Sick of Marta, Sick, sick.
Sick of Erika, Sick, sick.

Sick of Miggy, sick of Dave,. If I wanted to see something without a brain, I'd dig around in the yard.

I spend half the show trying to figure out if DisGrace is hot enough to be Do-able in spite of the fact that she is a psycho murderer.

BTW I am still seeing odd previews after the show.

Woo Hoo 50 minutes and counting.

OK Kirby, at the end of the show, are you seeing avances in one box on the upper right and some random scenes in another box on the lower right?

Or are you seeing a full-screen, no boxes?

I'm seeing the two boxes, one in the upper right and lower left.

There was something really odd which they showed last night in the lower box, but now I can't remember what it was. I just remember thinking, HUH? when are they planning on THAT?

And then in the upper box was a scene they have shown a number of times. QUE?

I will pay attention and make a note tonight if it is worth it.

I see previews in upper right, random scenes in lower left.

Yes, I see the same thing at the end of each episode. In the upper right of the screen are the previews and in the lower left are random scenes that I have never seen. For example, in one scene , Juan is pulling Disgrace into his arms. Huh? When did that happen? When I started watching telenovelas, I began with Alborada, and the opening credits had some great scenes that I kept watching for in the actual show. However, they were never shown as part of the story. 👓

Bill C. Thanks for the information about the possible telenovela to follow this one. I checked it out , and I like some of the cast. ...the daughter from LA Malquerida , David Zepeda, and the guy who played the bastard son in PyP. I might give it a try if they decide to show it next. I usually watch the 9pm show.

P.s. I keep forgetting to watch Bold and Beautiful. Last time it watched, they were in Australia.

I think I'm missing some original post here about possible new telenovela. I see that on Friday there is a telenovela called "nosotros los guapos" and Appears to be a once a week series on Fridays? I'm desperately hoping for a new telenovela because I cannot watch La Pilota anymore. It's just continual shooting! Very disappointing and I need to have 2 telenovelas. Anybody have any news on a new one coming AND on what will replace Vino el Amor which may be ending soon????

Thank you very much Urban! I've been busy at work all day and didn't have time to comment. Seems this episode was everyone jumping on one another showing their jealousy. I get so tired of the same ol', same ol', jealousy.

I don't know why David doesn't stand up to his own daughter. He's the parent, she's the daughter. He should say something like, "Do you want me to pick your boyfriends for you? How about if I have a say in who you date and marry, huh?" When the tables are turned, she would it herself.

I agree with Anonymous above me regarding La Piloto. Too much shooting and drug cartels.

(I'm the Anonymous from above) Yes, Cynthia...megaditto about David and his damn relationship with Fer. It is so pathetic. I keep praying that Juan gets so desperate to get back at Graciela that he has a showdown telling David that Graciela killed his wife!!! I will be ecstatic IF and WHEN that happens! I think Fer is old enough to to stop being so duped ...or so nasty about Luciana.
BY THE WAY I apologize for using Anonymous but I was not not on the blog for the past year and lost my username info!!!!!

I wish someone on the blog had an "in" with Univision so they could tell them to shape up and stop making so many bad decisions.
I wish they would move a new decent telenovela into the 8pm slot!! They owe that much to us -- Ha ha

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that about David. I mean he's letting this selfish little spoiled brat of his blackmail him, telling him who he shouldn't have in his life how would she feel if he picked her boyfriends? I tell you what she wouldnt want that. He needs to stand up and be Daddy and stop walkin on eggshells. And she's not having mental problems, she's got Tia problems.

Can anyone help me out to see episodes from 101 to till the end

Unknown 9:55, you may want to search Youtube...or you can do an internet search for "Vino el Amor capitulos completos".
