Vino el Amor #140 (Univision 129); Thursday, May 4, 2017: Vino la Verdad (The truth has arrived!)
Labels: vino
Grace does make a beautiful bride. I liked her hairstyle, and the gown was gorgeous, especially the back. Well, that just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover. Such a lovely exterior, but inside a stone cold heart. Kim has been doing a wonderful job . I could feel her desperation . She is not going to make it to her ultimate goal..marrying Moby Dave. Only two more episodes to go to watch them all fall down.
Whiny little toe-sucker Miggy could not even sit at the engagement party table.
He had to make a very obvious exit and go stand by himself (6 feet from his chair) and pick his ass and look miserable.
Can any of rthese people not let it forkin go for a second and it be about ANYBODY but their miserable self inflicted misery.?
Just shoot yourself for crimmidy.
So LooLoo can't work at either vineyard comfortably? Well it is time to M O V E. Listen up LoserHottie did you make NO friends all those years you were deported? It is time for another deportation in the name of an intervention. Now go somewhere and make some fricking friends.
How many more times must we sit through LooLoo trying once again to cry on camera and tell somebody, anybody how much she luuuurrrves Duuud? It looks to me kinda like loving root canals.
She and Miglet are getting on my last nerve. When the Joker shows up I hope there are a few extra casualties.
A wedding dress see through in the back down to the crack of her ass? N I C E
Now Lillian knows about Lisa and Perla, will she believe it about Lisa? And everyone is getting nervous about the time.
The screen shots were wonderful, but the unmasking of Grace in the last shot was perfection. "As DisGrace looks up at her mother, she has a look on her face that is unrepentant and guilty as sin itself". Sensational.
I did not expect Juan to show up nor did I expect last night to play out the way it did. I am actually going to say the confrontation scene was well written.
I have no idea what Graciela can say to defend herself, but what a defining moment for Lilian. Will she throw Graciela to Juan the wolf, or, in will she try and somehow save her remaining, murderous, deceitful daughter? I can't imagine the thoughts that are swirling in her head.
I'm not going to comment on what happens next although I think the preview was a definite spoiler.
"He is frustrated with their relationship and not having his feelings returned to him the way he wants". When Luci walked into the multipurpose room (after David broke her heart, yet again), Miguel stood up and walked out without a word. Cold. Icy cold.
I agree with you Kirby that a few of these characters need to ask themselves it if can "be about ANYBODY but their miserable self inflicted miser?"
"Marta says that is not the answer and she needs to talk to Miguel and make up with him". Yes. But not apologize. She has done nothing wrong. She let him down gently and the man refuses to see the truth.
“I’ve lost the love of my life, because he’s getting married tomorrow and at the same time, I’ve lost my best friend.” Miguel did not need to pile the guilt on now.
I liked Julie's scenario of yesterday where Luci leaves and runs into a Sebastian Rulli type. I so dislike the idea of David running into her open arms after the sky falls on him.
"Moby Dave" - thanks Susanlynn!
Cynthia, your recaps have been a breath of fresh air on a smoggy day. Thank you for everything!
Diana
I was trying to look around while the circus was going on and I didn't see any 'Landscape Stones" she might have brought up to her room to evaluate for the reception.
When, if ever, will she finally stop lying and either STFU or fess up. I suppose NoJuan is willing to destroy himself as collateral damage while destroying DisGrace and Dave at this stage of his game. When you have lost it all, your money, your land, the only human on earth who gave a fig about you, soon your feedom, you really think you have no reason to save yourself. And it will be for the best, everyone will be better off including NoJuan if he is just dead.
I can't wait (without Ice Cream) for the goat rodeo upstairs to begin oozing downstairs. You can probably time it in seconds, not minutes how long before this toxic waste in the off white gown begins to contaminate the other participants and guests. I was surprised how readily Lillian took the news that the plague she unleashed on humanity is a serial murderer. Is she shocked or proud?
Happy Friday All, especially You Cynthia, what a writer you are.
It was almost worth sitting through 56 minutes for the last 4. The writers, director and especially the seasoned big name actors (especially you Soto) should be ashamed of themselves and bow down and kiss Kimberly"s buttocks for saving them. I went back and watched that last scene 4 times. AWESOME
Hated punk ass Miguel from the start and hate puck ass Miguel at the end.
David seems happy and eagerly anticipate the sad. Carito put her finger on it when she told everyone that Graciela was convenient for David to marry though he may love Luciana. If you want measured, wise advise Luciana stop talking to your mother and Susan and speak to Carito.
Like a four year old. Punk assed is exactly the words I could not think of above.
For all his 'muscles' he is like the guys we used to beat up in junior high. I hate him too. He needs a blow up doll and an a big picture of Luci.
I think the one uplifting side to all this is that Kimberly has a very bright future before her.
And yes, who thought Carito would turn into the voice of reason?
The way they shot her and Miguel at Lion and Sonia's party, I thought...here it comes. They are probably getting together at some point.
Diana
If the rest of her works as well as her face----------- Hell I'll marry her !
:-)
kj
WOW! Agree, that last scene and the look on Graciela's face when she looked at Lil! That look should have sent a major shiver up Lil's spine if not a lightening bolt to her heart! She knew Grace was no angel but to learn she's a cold blooded killer, including she murdered her own sister and LIED and deceived her and everyone all this time! That would scare the fudge right out of me!
Thank you, Kirby at 7:04 for that wonderful summary that speaks my thoughts and feelings as well. Thanks tofie at 7:45: K2R SLAYED this role and this show! Leon and Sonia were the love story in this thing, everyone else's stories were about stubborn self-centeredness, masochism, emotional immaturity and undiagnosed intellectual impairment. The main story was about maniacal obsession and brilliant psychosis and how it almost got it's way. Well done, Kimberly. I almost wish Grace DID get away with it. As Susanlynn has said, I hate David, I have absolutely NO RESPECT for his so-called sacrifice of love for his children and again, go read Kirby's first comment re how Loo Loo needs to get a cloo.
More later. If you wanted a love story, the writers broke one off in us. If you wanted the story of a masterful dominatrix and puppet master, this was it. Well done, K2R.
Happy Cinco de Mayo a todos!
Once the truth emerges, it can't be submerged again. Lili is devastated and I can't wait to see what she is going to do.
Diana
What Lillian should do is look at her daughter and realize whether she likes it or not, they are both the very same, DisGone is just at the next level, like the Amway Platinum member level, while Lillian is just Gold. Keep working on it you miserable old sow and you will get there.
Or you can have a typical TN epiphany and for once look in the mirror and see yourself.
When will Adolfo notice that he probably owns a time share in San Diego? If NoJuan is half as clever as he thought he was, they will never find that mill and a half, I'd bet that is not even addressed, as the Plot phone#1 has evaporated.
BTW I saw an ad on LooneyVision which said Gran Final Monday at 8, 7 Central. I took that to imply 8 Eastern time. Did anyone else see that or was I seeing things?
I didn't realize it was a million and a half. I thought she "just" gave him the half mil Lili came up with. I fear you may be right in that the money will be left floating out there somewhere...I hope not as I'd hate Adolfo to lose all that money. He's lost enough already.
And yeah, where IS "Plot phone#1"???? I was shocked that Juan made the accusation about Gracie killing Lisa with no physical evidence. I thought Gracie would go into another hysterical snit. But the biggest shock is that Gracie looked guilty as sin which is essence made her acknowledge she did it. No denial.
Can't wait to see what happens.
Diana
We have invested so much in this show and they have disappointed me so much, I will not let Looney Vision deprive me of the element of surprise as well so I REFUSE to look at previews and if they were openly discussed on the Patio, I'd be outta here! Can't wait for tonight!
Hey, y'all: From what you've seen so far, does this look like a MILLION DOLLAR WEDDING? It may not be worth that much, but the "entertainment" will!
If the plot phone has been conveniently forgotten, what chance do we have of all those secrets bring revealed..Dr. Evil's collaboration with Grace and manipulation of both Fern and Dave...Lilian as Juan's partner in defrauding Dave????
I won't miss Lu's crying. Basta. Irina has to work on that. It was hard to watch.
I really wish that I hadn't watched the previews...spoilers.
I think that Carito consoling Miguel is setting the scene for them ending up together. She will probably appreciate his protection .
I agree with everyone--the last 4 minutes of the episode were worth tolerating the previous 56 minutes.
Kirby, I too, was puzzled by Lillian's reaction when she saw the video. I thought, for sure, she would at least jump or gasp when the shot was fired. And afterwards, it seemed like she was dumbfouded..and I thought she would have gone into a screaming frenzy.
Migs moping and Luci's crying--ya basta!! If I had gone crying to my mother, she would have have told me to just stop!! and would have started cussing out Dud-vid.
Trivial observation: Ferbrat practiced her hairstyle so much that she messed it up--not impressive at all.
RC
As to the missing Plot Phone #1 I think I know the answer. It was in a Keepsake Box because that's all it was for Juan, who claimed to have been in love with Lisa. We all knew that it was unlikely to have anything incriminating on it and most of us have seen enough DisGraceful meltdowns to know that Juan wouldn't have needed it to bring one on.
I'm disappointed that there weren't more witnesses. She deserves a very public outing of her crimes. However, since it wouldn't have been remotely realistic for Juan to know enough of the guest list or their phone numbers he could not have done a group call to distribute the murder video.
I will, however, concede that the wedding dress is one of the best I've ever seen in a novela. Lillian is wearing black which surprised me, but the dress is an appropriate style and her jewelry also is tasteful for that time of day.
Totally agree that the ending facial expression is completely on the money.
Susanlynn: I'm happy for Carito & Miguel being together :)
Urban, while you are likely right that the phone didn't have evidence on it, I dislike the way the writers tantalized us with it, having Perla find it. I'm sure the writers don't realize that as a collective group, the patio does not forget.
tofie, I kept expecting to see Bobby springing into the room. Hopefully, he will be spared - for the moment. And yes, is Cristiano going to show? Susanlynn, I wonder if she did make the call? When I saw him lining up the items he wanted him to autograph, my heart sank. But then again, if he did appears, that would certainly appease Bobby for a few moments.
RC "dumbfounded" is a great description for Lili's reaction,
Is it wrong that I think Bobby shouldn't be told Graciela killed his mother? I don't know how a child could process and live with that. While I think Fer has the right to know, I cringe at what she is going to do.
Diana
“I know the whole world says this, but never go to bed angry”, says Marta. Hey Marta, can I add something to that? Never go to bed with people outside your marriage, either. Angry or not.
Lil is quite the helpful and loving mommy. My mom wouldn't give me half a million dollars for a blackmail payment, even if I had a GOOD explanation.
I had to laugh when Fernanda said she was glad Grace would be taking care of things while she was at university. She's said that before, too. Exactly what duties does she think Grace will need to take on in Fernanda's absence?
Maybe Luciana needs to find an all-women's vineyard. Or start one herself. Lulu's Vineyard for Lovelorn Ladies.
I did not notice Grace's butt-crack, but I will pay attention tonight!
Kirby: "I can't wait for the goat rodeo upstairs to begin oozing downstairs." Sooner or later, you're going to have to try your hand at recapping so that we can read more nuggets like that one. (Even if it was a mixed metaphor, or perhaps goat rodeos do begin to ooze after a while?)
Lila, yes I laughed when I realized the wedding would be held at the vineyard. The only way this could be a million dollar wedding (actually, a regular wedding plus a million over budget) would be if they handed out gold bricks as party favors. Handy for bonking your loved ones on the head with.
I'm not happy that Deathphone1 seems to have fallen through the cracks. I can live with Urban's rationalization, but it's not supposed to be OUR job to tie up loose ends!
D'oh - ice cream!! I'd better not forget!
The bride wore white (uff) , and the mother of the bride wore black (foreshadowing?).
And so onward we march toward the bitter end hoping that some of these folks will end up better ...and that the fickle finger of fate will be pointed at others! Hello, karma. Where are you?
So, perhaps Grace Smith is her name, but that name doesn't sound realistic.
Gracie looks really pretty in her wedding gown. I also thought Lilian looked pretty.
Having seen the two-hour finale via a stream when it aired in Mexico, pretty sure it will begin tonight and spread into Monday. If so, don't miss the very first few minutes. (Zips lip now).
Remember what happened to little Valentina in AQNMD after her parents were murdered? That should not be allowed to happen to Bobby. Someone needs to contact his school to tell the appropriate people that he would be out for a day or two and that they will need to address this situation.
(slow claps for Cynthia) Thank you for your service, madame, to a show that absolutely did not deserve it.
That said...okay, the end of the penultimate episode of this fakakta show was genuinely good and--Juan somehow making it into the house and to Graciela's room undetected notwithstanding--pretty darn sane. Juan and Graciela's third go-round over the blackmail money led to Lilian being exposed to Plot Phone II and Graciela murdering Perla, and that in turn was the opening for the bombshell about Dead Lisa. If anything, the cutoff point made sure that it was still more about Graciela and Juan--considering most of Lilian's prior freakouts, the one she had over Plot Phone II was surprisingly restrained. (I'm assuming Azela Robinson gets to make up for it tonight.) But Kimberly Dos Ramos...oh, that moment at the end of the ep where Graciela finally showed her true face to her mother...assuming she's indeed sticking with Televisa for a while, I do hope an EP with actually sane writers has been watching this. Out of the entire cast, she's the one who most deserves and has earned a novela do-over.
Somehow I missed what Carito said to Miguel during his stomp-off-with-my-beer hissyfit, so reading that now just makes it seem that much more obvious that she, now that she's finally been redeemed, is finally going to get her man in the end. She might deserve better than being Miguel's third-place trophy, but again...this show...
Diana's suggestion that Bobby not be told about Graciela killing his mother makes a certain sense considering his fragile status in-show. OTOH, it would also require everyone else to agree to keep that secret--including Fernanda, and she's historically too impulsive to do that.
Miguel ... ah, geeze Louise... what happened to, "I'm your friend, Luciana, through thick and thin. Don't worry about my feelings, I'm just here for you, waiting patiently. Take ALLL the time you want, no rush? You're through with him? You want to forget him? No problem, let's go pick some grapes! What? You love him? You'll never forget him? You're feeling hurt? Here's my shoulder, get your cry on. What are friends for? No, don't worry about me. A true friend cares about what YOU are feeling. You were here for me when I lost Erica, like a true friend. Shhh, now, relax, come let me give you a nice big comforting hug...." ???
OT: Susanlynn - to your question from yesterday re historical romance novel authors ... I recommend Julie Garwood. She has numerous novels out and she is a very talented writer. I suggest you start off with "The Bride," but if you Google her you will see she is a very prolific writer and any of her novels will grab your attention immediately. (Like you, I also enjoy Diana Gabaldon quite a lot.
Bill, "Somehow I missed what Carito said to Miguel during his stomp-off-with-my-beer hissyfit":) All I can say is that she looked rather angelic (not that Miguel noticed). But we did. And while their getting together wouldn't be totally believable at this point, their potential coupling seems far more plausible than Luci and David.
Kirby, thank you. I hadn't realized she gave Juan a million in checks. I thought it was "only" Adolfo's money.
Diana
Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm still fully expecting Plot Phone #1 to show up with something incriminating. Maybe Juan is saving it just in case Lil doesn't believe him.
DisGrace's gown and Fer's gown make a lovely combo. Nobody else's attire is even memorable to me, but I'll pay more attention tonight.
Shows on Justice are "Most Shocking", Serial Killers, Beach Patrol, "Forensics, You decide", you know, that kind of thing.
So I am still only estimating, and it is darn close.
Let's see... Sebastian Rulli as David, Ariadne Diaz as Luciana, Marjorie de Sousa as DisGrace....
Urban, interesting choices. I wonder what Rulli could have done with the part. I really like Ariadne. With Kimberly nailing this part, I can't quite see Marjorie in the role. I don't think she could have captured the quiet craziness. I could be wrong.
6 more hours...
Diana
This cracks me up! Yah, don't go to bed angry but it's ok to go to bed with another man's body fluids in ya.
Will be glad to have that bitch off my screen!
Grrrrrrr!
This whole time Perla and Carito reminded me of a pair from a previous novela but I couldn't figure out which one until an hour ago. P&C remind me of Roxi and Sonia from MIVAC.
I can't wait till Fernanda gets up to DisGrace's bedroom. As I recapped above, she had told her father that she was going up to check on her Tia. I can't imagine how shocking it would be for a young girl like that to find out that the aunt you absolutely adored, is the same person who murdered your mother. Up till now, everyone thought it was an accident. (As Juan said last night.) As of last night, Fernanda was on her way up there. So how she will find all this out remains to be seen. Can you imagine Fer walking in and finding Juan and Juan laying out the whole sordid story? Whatever happens, it will be very difficult for her.
Will Luciana ever forgive David? I know I sure wouldn't. I just wouldn't want to be with a man who decided to trade real love to settle for something that would only serve temporarily to make his children "happy".
Cynically (as per usual WRT this show) I have to wonder: if they had gotten someone like Sebastian Rulli, whose characters AIUI have all tended to be pretty proactive, to play David...would the writers have dropped the ball the same way? And if so would he be trusted to save it a la, say, the mighty Jorge Salinas?
Replacing Irina Baeva, however, would likely have at a minimum cleared up that infamous "chemistry gap" between David and Luciana...and that's been a glaring fault for long enough that it overshadows a lot of the good stuff Irina has actually done. Ariadne Diaz definitely isn't a bad choice, though I think I would have liked to see what someone like Ximena Romo or Alexandra Pomales (again "borrowing" from the competition, Telemundo) would have done with it.
But as much as I like me some Marjorie de Sousa (and, hey, age-appropriate)...Kimberly Dos Ramos is/was such a great fit as Graciela that I can't really see anybody else pulling it off except maybe Chantal forking Andere.
Since all the comments have dissected the comings, goings, stoppings, and noJuan's interference, I'll just say I enjoyed them all. I'll plumb them for nuggets (or raisins) later.
In lieu of Alternate Endings, here are my Alternate Beginnings.
Think about it, Patio Peeps, with a story like mine, we could have been spared all the stürm und drag [sic] on the Twining, Choking Vine of Desamor and we could have been snoozing through a whole hour in order to catch La Piloto at 10 and not have lost an ounce of sleep before morning coffee and honey.
Part I
David and Lisa are living happy, fulfilled lives with their Faaaaamily. Thanks to Lisa, the brains in the family, the vineyard is doing well and producing good wines. However, they don’t seem to be making as much money as they should. Juan, David’s compadre cum lawyer cum accountant convinces them it’s just hard times recovering from the Great Depression of 2007-09 and having to pay extra for a certified oneologist.
Lilian comes to visit occasionally and usually goes back to the apartment in San Diego with several of those boxes of Bodega Los Angeles wine. She scowls at Marta every chance she gets, but the vino holds her back from doing anything more drastic. On her conscience is the knowledge that she drove Fernando into the arms of Marta and when he became ill, she did nothing to help him recover. In fact, one morning he was found dead at her side. She receives a handsome widow’s pension and goes to Iowa to find herself a rich corn grower. [I might add she finds one and gets into his warehouse full of ethanol and dies within a couple of years of cirrhosis of the liver.]
Susan, the oneologist, is married to an abusive man who threatens her and finally kills her after he gets out of prison and finds out she has been seeing a boy-toy on the side. There is much wailing and weeping at the BLA and David immediately starts an Internet Foundation to help abused women. Luciana, Carito and Perla serve on the board.
Sonia never comes to work at the BLA. Instead, she becomes a famous romance novela writer AND when she appears on Despierta America, viewers are blown away by her seductively simple manner. There is a Televisa producer watching and he has HIS men talk to HER men and soon a contract is signed. Sonia gets to ply her trade on the small pantalla. She continues to write novelas in her spare time. She also makes sure she never accepts a role in anything produced by one J.A. Castro.
Graciela stays in Spain painting; becomes semi-famous, as in painting adverts for foot massages, foot creams, foot surgery, etc. She and Joselo form a company, but decide to break up as hook-up lovers. [Joselo realizes he’s gay and tries to seduce Christiano, to no avail. Gracie begins to branch out, and goes too far and contracts an aggressive untreated venereal disease and dies. The body is cremated and the ashes sent home to Lisa who scatters them in the nearby river in a tear-filled ceremony attended by the immediate Faaaamily.]
Marta, Marcos, Luciana and Leon live happily on in the vineyard. Marcos wins all kinds of prizes for his wines for the BLA, while David claims the honors. Marcos only receives technical gratitude, no financial remuneration. But, he’s happy with what he’s doing and having his Faaaaaamily around him.
Leon never comes out of his shy self and is snagged (and snogged) by Carito. She gets pregnant with twins. Leon gets engaged and marries Carito within 2 weeks of finding out about the impending nieto/nieta for Marta and Marcos. They are all very happy.
Marta raises Fer and Bo successfully and sees them off to college and a soccer prep school. After graduation, Fer starts her own cosmetic business based on grape extract. Bo makes it big in the U.S. Soccer League and gets to play against Real Madrid in a “friendly competition” game. Chris bangs into Bo and breaks Bo’s ankle. Bo doesn’t mind since it was his hero. Bo retires to the vineyard to help his dad and mom.
Luciana and Miguel play ring around the rosie for a decade or more. Will they? Won’t they? Friendship is more important than a romantic relationship. A Romantic relationship doesn’t mean the Friendship relationship ends. Yes, it would. No it wouldn’t. I’m not ready to take the risk. Well, I am. Sorry, Miggy, it has to be my way or no way and that’s a FINAL.
Meanwhile, Patrón David has paid for and sent Luciana to school, college and on to graduate school in oneology. After Susan’s untimely death, David takes Luciana on at nominal pay with a small share of the profits. This is an incentive for Luciana to work hard and long hours. She’s into her late 40s, still bent over the microscope, wearing thick glasses and a short, boyish haircut. Miguel still hovers nearby, hoping for a chance to turn their “siblinghood” into “couplehood,” but Luci is too absorbed by her work. Miguel saves his money and buys a vineyard near Ensenada. At his age, he is still single, attractive and hardworking, a catch for any single gal. He meets tal Erika at a bar and finds out she is the daughter of a neighbor in Sonoma, Adolfo, who owns the adjoining land to Bodega Los Angeles. What a coinkindink. She sweeps him off his feet and takes him home to meet daddy.
Adolfo has been running his vineyard all by himself and he’s beginning to wear out and wants to retire. Miguel is not interested in taking over Adolfo’s vineyard and urges him to sell. He and Erika will settle in Ensenada at his own vineyard, Cruz de Amor [he bought it cheap at auction] and are neighbors of Renata and Jeronimo Linares and their growing Faaaaamily. Adolfo seeks out Lilian, but she’s moved away. He joins the Road Scholar travel group and begins to travel the way he’d always wanted to. Erika and Miguel have a couple of kids and are sooo happy.
Juan, David’s intimate confidant, has been skimming profits from the vineyard successfully for years. He does this just because he can. He’s lazy so skimming isn’t as hard work as going to court and dealing with illegal immigrants and getting visas for foreign workers. In twenty years he has enough to buy the olive grove next door, but finds it’s a lot of work. He hires a crew and an overseer and he and Perla, his live-in chippie [who he married to establish his legitimate status in the eyes of his community], spend their time on cruises, attending ballets, symphonies, shopping, underwriting programs on Looneyvision, and laughing it up like the Joker at David, stuck in his viñedo.
Ramon sees Tano graduate from Community College and then go on to become a CPA, joining a prestigious firm in San Francisco. As long as he conforms to their dress code—conventional haircut, no facial hair, shirt and tie to work he fits right in. He dispenses advice to the lovelorn on a blog he calls Tu Susurrador Secreto. He goes home on weekends to visit ole pop, who is now retired and spends his days pining for Tano’s mother, who left them when Tano was a baby. Tano is proud of his father’s upstanding loyalty to the viñedo, but can’t convince him to move to San Francisco.
Brian, the successful officer turned sheriff of Sonoma County, decides that with his looks and abilities, he’ll run for higher public office. He’s admired everywhere for his speaking abilities and for his quirky Spanish-sounding English. His rallies are well attended and has little opposition during his campaigns. Once in awhile a reporter on local TV asks him the hard questions regarding his stint as an ICE-assister, but he deflects these questions by reminding viewers that it was his job. He’d rather talk about his successes as sheriff on reducing crime. His crowning glory comes when he is elected a representative from Sonoma and begins to espouse immigration reform (of any kind).
What happened to Perla ?
P.S. for yesterday's episode: If Lil does what I think she would do for self-preservation, I'll tell you tomorrow if I guessed right or wrong.
For a million $$$$ wedding, it must be the reception that took DG over the limit. All the invitees fit on the porch and most of them seemed to be employees or friends. What, no Charlie, no Summer? Bummer. You'd think if Christian were coming, he'd have invited his two best soccer-lovin' buddies.
;D
Anita, maybe on a few people were invited to the civil ceremony in the patio. Maybe the reception is a grand occasion at an expensive venue where they are serving the best filet mignon and caviar flown in from France.
Tano becomes a CPA and his team does the audit of BLA. He does such a good job, he's offered a partnership at E&Y. He turns it down and starts his own CPA firm, specializing in Forensic Accounting. Juan, although caught red handed, pays back all the money he owes David. He does community service helping immigrants get their legal status. He spends the rest of his life in his own legal office that helps the poor and downtrodden with their various legal problems, doing a lot of pro bono work. He specializes in helping immigrants gain permanent resident status, filing all forms for them with ICE.
Tano and Fernanda get married and live a lovely life in a beautiful home with four children, a dog, a cat, and a hamster in Marin County.
I've been pondering the various scenarios...
"Erika and Miguel have a couple of kids and are sooo happy". This was the love that was literally nipped in the bud. Erika and Miguel were so alike, kindred spirits. Both staunchly loyal, fierce in jealous and in love. An utterly believable pairing. Miguel was the best version of himself with her.
Sonia. "viewers are blown away by her seductively simple manner". As are we. I an hoping that Sonia achieves the recognition and appreciation she so deserves. She will simply be doing it with her lion by her side.
Many of what I consider to the true galans here, Ramon and Cesar might have ended up alone, which I don't think was their desire. I am happy Adolfo had a good life. I would wish him nothing less.
And Luci ending up happy with her career was wonderful. Not everyone needs a partner. Just love of family and friends and being happy in life's work. Which it seemed she was.
Anita, thank you so very much!

“siblinghood” into “couplehood”
Thanks, Anita, for your parallel universe story. It's much easier on almost everyone, except maybe Susan and Lilian. I especially like that Booby has the honor of being injured by his hero.
But what happens to Cesar? And Ramon?
Maybe Cesar ends up with Luciana. Or perhaps he goes back to Spain to resume the career he always intended, as a flamenco injury specialist. There, he meets a flamenco dancing lady.
Ramon invents a new type of noodle. Ramon Noodles puts Top Ramen out of business.
Let me know if you do...I'll definitely watch it :-)
RC
Cynthia--I liked your upping Tano's creds. He'll never be accepted by Lilian, but in my, teehee, "parallel universe," she's out of the picture. David, Lisa and of course, Fer would accept him without an illustrious Ancestry dot Com. I'm ok with Tano and Fer getting together.
Sysanlynn--hmmmmm about Ramon and Cesar ending up together. Although, why not, since I left poor Cesar out of the picture completely. Yes, I like the idea of Cesar going to Spain and treating flamenco injuries. Ramon, since he didn't get Marta, is willing to go with Cesar, as a partner or a friend. Works for me.
RC--none of us have the cash to pay Silvia Navarro and Cristian de la Fuente to act in our production. We'd have to tap into Lilian's retirement nest egg and she's long gone.
I was sort of inspired by the old original Star Trek episode where they run into a parallel universe and Spock was evil and Cap'n Kirk didn't quite know how to deal with him.
In this P.U. I tried to make every one so benign we'd die of boredom and go watch something else.
Anita - "P.U." - LOL. Dying of boredom, maybe, but at least not dying of confusion and frustration. Didn't we speculate at one point what would have happened if David had been a regular, rational, smart guy and kicked out Grace and Lili early on? And fired Juan over the toxic "fertilizer"? Sure it would have cut the story very short, but then we could have moved on to something better.
I am looking forward to the postmortem.
Put your foot in it girl.Thats what the Old folk used to say when somethin was really good. Anyways you took your time and calmly told this tragically
Nightmare of a tale of goings on in the wine country.
Miguel is turning into a whinny windy.
Lucy don't love him that way, so he need to just suck it up and move on. To......maybe Carita? Just stop being so pushy. Lucy is loving David. And that is it.
Juan is gracie's anvil. And he is good
