La doble vida de Estela Carillo, Capitulo 48 - 7/14/17 Kill them, Regia, kill them a slow and painful death!
Recap courtesy of Rgv Chick (I'm just copying your first comment here, because you hit on all the important points of the show in a stellar way and as usual, time is running out on me... I did add some of my own notes in italics, but this is mainly your baby! Thank you for helping out once again!)
Odious Isidro makes it to the top of my hate list. DNA results are in and he can't wait to get Paloma so he can take Paloma back to Mexico and resell her to get more money out of her. Although Blake is hateful at least he doesn't have anything bad planned for Paloma...he has already gotten on the foster parent list so Paloma can stay with him. Between Isidreadful and Blake, we have to go with Blake, sadly. What a nightmare.
But Isidrodious won't give up on using Paloma to get more money, he hightails it over to Furia and asks to see Mercy. Luckily, Genesis tell him she is not there. Danilow makes an interception and tells him he will take her to Mercy.
Ryan is getting luckier every day. Steve finds Tona's bordello and they come up with a plan to call the bordello and ask for a service call hoping that whoever they send will give them info on La Tona. How lucky they are that when La Tona gets the call, Fausto suggests that she send Nina so that they can get her out of the way (after she does whatever they are making her do) and make sure she doesn’t mess up their plans.
Uh Ohhh, wanna bet that Steve is caught by Genesis with Nina and there is a big misunderstanding that splits up the two lovebirds?
Nina saves the day...her conscience won't let her keep from trying to help Regia and tells her about Tona's plan. Later when she arrives at Ryan's place, she breaks down and tells him too, but Ryan is frantic because LauStela refuses to let him help her.
I have some ideas about what Laura can do with the pair of heathens, but I don't think she has it in her even though she thinks she does. Simmering in the desert with lots of scorpions would be a good scenario.
I was really hoping Danilow would send TomAss a buddy (Isidrodious), but instead he sends him back to Mexico (Or does he, really? With a First Class ticket, I bet!)
Maria's little party is spoiled by Tadeo..lucky for her! I was surprised that she knows about Tadeo's "preferences." Maria is about to lose her V-Card to a fool, in her mother's hotel room, while other two teenagers in heat are frolicking in the bathroom. I'm half expecting for the "cool kids" to ask for a four-way. Maria seems so dumb, she might actually go for it. Where is LetMe? Where is LetMe? QTH!!
Poor Steve, he's in the doghouse, after lying to Genesis about what he was planning for the night. Geez, looks who got caught with their pants up and doing absolutely nothing indecent.
I knew Horacio was bad, but to suggest its time that Soto's wife starts collecting his life insurance was something I didn't expect from him.
In the Mexican version, Mercy asks Ryan what happened with RealStela; he assumes one of her father’s enemies probably killed her….maybe El D. He tells Mercy that D anilow knows everything.
It's nighttime and Milton is still waiting for Soto…he tries calling him, but is disappointed when it goes directly to voicemail.
...............................................................................
Anyone who has an idea about how La Regia should kill the pair of desgraciados, please share! I have a few nice efficient ideas of my own (most include salt on open wounds and lots of screaming) hehehe.

Thank you Adriana, looking forward to your recap. Looks like luck fell upon (almost) everyone.

Be back leter...bye!
May the TN Gods bless little NinaHooker for just happening to have a Smith and Wesson in her purse for the fan club "Hoe" down.
Genesis can sit home and cry herself into being forgotten as far as I care. You at least listen for a second unless you have a reason to suspect already. People who do not trust lovers without reason usually can not be trusted, and that is why.
I don't believe for a minute DaniLow sent Istinkingtohigheaven to Mexico. I believe he whacked him and told that story to not look so bad.
While a peaceful person by nature, I wholeheartedly agree with you Rgv Chick that "odious Isidro" is contemptible. He'sin stiff competition for most vile. I think it's close but seriously, I think it's a 4 way tie - we need to include Blake, Tona and Fausto.
Kirby, I also think that he is dead. I don't think Danilo would stand for anyone showing any malicious intent for Paloma to live. Think he is pushing up weeds.
In terms of Tona and Fausto, I want their ending now. I was hoping that there would be no air in the van and that they would die, gasping for air. I imagine suffocation is a terrible way to die. But, in their case, well deserved.
Kirby, extraordinary bird. How did you ever capture such a beautiful shot?
Adriana Noel, can't wait until your recap.
Diana
Work vans are far from airtight. They would not suffocate I don't think. But in the sun all day would slow roast them.
Kirby, "But do you think they would mistake Tona fora relative and untie her?" uhhh, no, if they thought she were a relative, they would probably think she was a disfigured disgrace to their race and rip her to pieces anyway.
Kirby, I also agree with your take on Genesis...she did overreact. Now if Nina had come out in a towel, maybe she would have had something to be more suspicious about. But, still, freaking out and not being willing to listen to an explanation is a little too much.
RgvChick, yes Isidro is despicable. But I don't think Fausto or Tona would be above hurting Paloma. Tona promised her deity a heart, right? Blech.
Genesis did overreact, but as we don't know her backstory, maybe she has been cheated on.
I wish we had set Danilo on Fausto and Tona. We wouldn't even need to be having the conversation of how to get rid of them. They'd be planted and festering...
Who am I turning into??
(Heartless) Diana
I was surfing between this episode and a rerun of Outlander last night. So glad that Laura was able to turn the tables on the evil, smarmy duo. I must say that you are a particularly bloodthirsty bunch thus morning. Yikes!!!
My TV guide lists new episodes of Piloto at 10 pm next week. can that be right?
Beautiful day on my patio after yesterday's heavy rain and gloom..sunny, clear, breezy, and 80. Have a good weekend everyone.
But Fausto and Tona have touched me in a way so that I feel complete repulsion.
Fausto committed the ultimate betrayal by preying on an innocent girl and selling her into a life of prostitution. Other than hurting/abducting a child that is bottom feeder behavior. And Tona is the most disgusting villain I've ever seen. Blackened heart and filthy countenance.
I sense there is a general sense of disgust about these two among the patio denizens.
I try to see something good in everyone, but there is nothing, absolutely nothing of that nature in either one.
Diana
Time to identify skirts.
Too bad Laura hasn't seen enough TNs to know to rid yourself of bad people in the back of a van, all you have to do is drive to a cliff and put a rock on the gas pedal. Done, bad guys all gone.
L Linda
I had also thought of throwing them into a pool full of piranhas, but the I figured once the piranhas get s taste of them, they'd probably spit them out and refuse to bite them.
Oh I just though of something, isn't there an earwig or something similar that if it gets into your ear it starts eating you up? It's supposed to be very painful.
Kind of the payback for forced prostitution, forced cannibalism. You could even provide knives and other tools and salt and pepper too of course, unless one of them is on a low sodium diet.
:-)
L Linda
A lots of the things which would work on people like us, you know just disgusting things like eating maggots or something, are probably not too bad to people who are one big manure pile to begin with, so I think plain old fashioned pain and slooooow dismenberment is the way to go. Like when you look like Fau/Ton, a few scars to make you ugly. Pffftt. How much uglier are we possibly talking?
Oooo Ooo Ohh OOhh what about those chipper shredder things like the arborists use. I have a small one only big enough for a hand and maybe arm, but the big ones, yes. Every few summers there is a news story where some worker gets into one of those, but it is disgustingly quick for our purposes.
kirb
:-)
It a good reason to kill soto? He just
Tryin to survive like everybody else.
There is just waaay to much blood in this tn. But that's what happens when narcos &prostitution, hiding mob bosses
Guys with buns wholikes to burn others
And himself to teach weird lessons of
Obedience, that really don't amount to a hill of beans. Cuz they always wind
Up doin what they want anyway. And end
Up dead.
Now as for suggestions on the killing nasty Bad people....round them up in
One of those tractertrailers lock it
Up leave it In the desert....about two
Weeks, problemo solved. And Then dig a ginormerous whole and bury it.Done and Done.
Is Maria really that dumb? I'm so glad tadeo came when he did or he'd have
Become an uncle. Ay! these kids today.
They are not her friends.Letty need to
Get her pregnant hips back there, her
Kiddos need her.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Nina was
Mercys long lost daughter. I know Nina has a sister but she may have been her
Sister by adoption and Nina's been her
Big sister takin care of her. After the parents died or abandened the both
Of them.That's a reach,but it wouldn't
Surprise Me. Everything else in this show is way out of left field why not that?
Thats Alfredo
If you like the PotA movies, go see this. You will not be sorry.
If you don't like them, then duh, don't see it. (See Wonder Woman instead because it is practically flawless.)
Andy Sirkis, Woody Harrelson, and the rest of the cast totally committed themselves to their roles, which made this totally absurd premise believable.
A few people in the theater (I think they were together) walked out after the outcome of the war was apparent, but before the film was completely over. I don't know if they were having an emergency, or if they were displeased with the turn of events. I don't think most will feel that way, but OTOH I can see where some might be uncomfortable with it. That's how it is with wars.
I saw it in 2D, but it's also available in 3D. 3D was worth it for Wonder Woman, but I doubt it would add anything to this movie. Runtime is 2:22, so if time is money, you'll get more than your money's worth.
I was annoyed with Genesis for not listening to Steve. She should know him better than that by now. Typical TN cliche.
I had to laugh when Laura lit a cigarette. Only bad guys smoke in TNs (usually) - so is this a signal that Laura is turning to the Dark Side of the Force? I assume she stole the smokes from Fausto.
Kirby, good point about the bears. But I still think it will work out. They will make Tona eat porridge that is too cold, and make her sleep on a bed that is too soft. Then Goldilocks will tell the hunters about this strange bear household, and they'll all be dead.
I agree that Isidro is dead, or at least that Danilo thinks he killed him.
Oooh Linda, I like that... down the cliff!
I am waiting for Ryan to tell her kissing her is like licking an ashtray now.
The unfortunate thing about that situation, is that you are letting someone who did you wrong rob you of a potentially great person through no fault of your own. IE: My thinking, don't give a dishonest cheater the power to color the rest of your relationships. It is the corollary to not allowing someone to make you angry so that you do dumb things. Only you can give away that power over yourself. Don't do it. end of Sunday sermon.
Yes Steve LetMe is in Montana identifying her deceased dirtbag husband. BUT we have no reason to believe that Chava might be there, is the point, I think. Since LetMeNotBeMuchOfaMom was out of state, wild child freind (?) of Maria talked her into having a fun little orgy in their home (Motel 6 Rm103) Tom Bodet left the light on for them.
Baby pics again. I was so taken with these little hawks I photographed them endlessly, as their tree was close to home. I was out there so much, and they apparently knew I was interested in them, that they began to watch ME.
Most of the times when I would show up with my camera, before many minutes they would spot me and climb up enough to keep an eye on me. That is the main reason i got the cute pics of them looking directly into the lens.
Julie, I did think about all those e-mails, but I also thought about her catching him gawking at Morgana's photos and teasing him about it. She may have also noticed the connection when they were all locked up in the same cell and the look Tadeo gave Valdo when they took him away.
Kirby, yes, my coyotes are picky. They've gotten used to my fine chickens...they'd probably take a sniff of Tona and Fausto and run off as fast as they could....hmmm, that gives me an idea...maybe I should tell Laustela to come park the van here (after she gets rid of the 2 rats); the van would still have their scent...
Kirby, thanks for the baby pics...so cute! One seems to be wondering when mama is gonna return with breakfast and to other telling it to just hold on to its feathers, mama should be here soon.
RgvChick, one of the scenarios for Fausto and Tona you mentioned reminded me of the Wrath of Khan epi from Star Trek. There was a creature he put in Checkov's ear. It didn't kill him but seemed excruciatingly painful...
Julie, thank you for noting that Maria and Tadeo shared a phone. I was wondering how she knew as well. Appreciate your review of the Apes film. I am definitely in - love Andy Serkis.
Kirby, another amazing picture. It seems you blend in seamlessly with nature and your "subjects" trust you. Incredible results.
Happy Sunday all!
Diana
I find Tona to be the worst. This is a woman making other women suffer undescribable pain just for her own joy and wealth. Fausto is just a sleaze and Blake an old-fashioned villain, but Isidro is close to Tona in despicable evilness, imo. They almost make rapist Danilow bearable and Assbun redeemable, right?
:-)
Hmmm Kirby. Yes.
(Hanging my head in shame).
Diana
When I was a teen, we got together and danced, listened to music. I can't imagine being a young person today faced with such peer pressure. If you follow the crowd, you lose yourself. If you don't, you get bullied. How sad.
Rgv Chick, you are a natural.
I want Isidreadful in jail for life where he can never hurt another child again.
I don't believe we need to speculate on the fate of Danilo and badbun as I don't think they will make it to the end.
Anita, where are you??
Diana
Finally have a chance to check on the new comments.
Julie..OT...Thanks for the Apes review. I liked the first three movies , but the newer ones are not as interesting to me. Someone on TV was raving about the actor who plays the boss ape. Hubba and I have always loved going to the movies , and there is not much we really want to see except Dunkirk, so we may succumb and go to see Apes this week. We are having a stay at home vacation before our next trip to see our older daughter next month ,which means the back yard, movies, and meals out. Unfortunately,it also includes cleaning closets for me. Meh. I return to teach on August 21..unless I classes do not fill and right now, it is not looking good.
Kirby, I appreciated the sermon. Good advice. My favorite sermon was the one that suggested that God will know us by our scars . We all have scars.
Maybe Tano likes boys and girls. #endlesspossibilities
All these evil doers need to go..one way or the other. Fausto started this whole mess for Laura , so he is at the top of my personal hate list. Tona is disgusting. Luisa is scary. Blake is nuts. Assbun is evil, but he keeps a pretty low profile and mostly messes with CrazyDan, and he is verra, verra goodlooking. #shallow
Beautiful day on my patio...sunny, clear, 80. #rememberthisindecember
Tadeo, IMO, is definitely heading in the wrong direction...not necessarily the music business, but who he is dealing with--Morgana, Ausencio and Danilow. Danilow seemed to have been brushing him off until Ausencio told him that Tadeo's song was pretty good and he could be a "jewel" for Furia.
Dan doesn't even recognize talent when it's standing in front of him. Thanks for clarifying that Rgv Chick. So it took Auscencio to point it out?
Diana #showingmyage
Alfredo, we are assuming Danilow killed Isidro, but it hasn't been confirmed. All Danilow said was that Isidro went back to Mexico and wouldn't be bothering Laura again...he wouldn't be claiming Paloma or have a loose tongue. I wouldn't be putting him on Steve's list just yet, we've done that before just to be proven wrong.
While Danilo is obnoxious and psychopathic, worthy of all the contumely and contempt Viewerville has hurled upon him, I still find him the most interesting devil in this melodrama. Besides his outstanding good looks, he has a genuine sweet spot for Paloma. I can't help but feeling he will meet his end somehow in defense of the child.
Alfredo, you didn't miss anything - we don't know what happened with Isidro. It just seems rather casual now to assume that Danilo killed him, as he's found that to be an effective way to make problems go away. But even if he did kill him, we've already seen that killing doesn't always "take."
Time to listen to some AL Green .."Love and Happiness" #yourwelcome
Sweet talkin psychopathic lyinass husband. How lucky shes was to find a
Jerk like that to marry. He was a walk
In the park he was. Pun intended.
What if it is indeed a woman that he loves? Maybe a sister or maybe someone he is in love with...
I'd vote for La Tona and Fausto getting mauled by bears, but I like bears too much for them to have such vermin.
Yeah, Nina did not lift a finger to help Steve explain what happened. Nina has met Genesis before and Genesis was nice to her then, so that was just cold on Nina's part.
Missundersranding.That was not a nice
Thing to do.You gotta help sister out.
Nina didn't do that.
"KhaaaaAAAAAAAAAaaaaaan!!!!!!" (exact quote)". Julie, this made me smile, thinking of Captain Kirk (it WAS him, wasn't it?) screaming out the name in frustration and anger. Maybe he wasn't Olivier, but Shatner was fun and sure has staying power.
Diana
In case a man's view might be of interest, about Genesis, Steve, beggars are not attractive. If she doesn't figure it out by the weekend, then you are not important enough to her anyway. Genesis seems seems QUICK to do everything. Remember your first non-date?
There might be another beautiful woman in California who would be interested in a nice looking nice guy.
I wondered about Nina also when Gen burst in and as those two already knew each other I suspect anything she said would have just added fuel to the fire. Like trying to unlight a cherry bomb.
Kirby, ITA that Geneseasy was quick to react and that she should have given Steve an opportunity to explain. I also agree that "If she doesn't figure it out by the weekend, then you are not important enough to her anyway." I'm not defending her, but from this woman's view, if a man tells a woman he is sick, he should know that the woman will most likely do something to try to make him feel better. I good friend once told me that if you must lie, keep as close to the truth as possible. Steve could have told Geneseasy that he needed to help Ryan with a situation instead of telling her he was sick. Nina didn't help much either. With the little chance she had to say something, she could have backed up Steve and told Geneseasy things weren't as it looked; instead she tells her that she didn't know Steve was her BF and it was he that called her (there's the cherry bomb). Again, I do agree that Geneseasy is being unreasonable...she has had enough time to know that Steve is trustworthy.
And it is true, a well-intentioned lie is still a lie. He could have just told her the truth to begin with and stuck to his guns if she didn't want him helping Ryan. I had forgotten about his big 'Sick' story.
Hopeofully she will stop crying long enough to talk to someone who knows what was really happening.
Alfredo: Yup "Um Faust, mustard, or relish?" "Hmmm, Both, OK."
:-)
Here's what happens when you are thinking about the patio and not concentrating on your real life. I got up and read the new comments. Then, I was thinking about what I wanted to say as I was making coffee. Thus, I counted out ten spoons of coffee for the seven cups of water that I had just put in the coffeepot.I like strong coffee but not that strong. #mindfulness
Well, I can not wait to see what is happening in that van tonight. With so much senseless violence in the news, I do not want to envision awful events..I just want the villains to evaporate.
As to Genesis, perhaps, she has been lied to and cheated on by a former Beau. When that happens, it is very hard to trust guys , especially when you catch them in a lie.#lyingguys
Kirby, now that In have figured bout how to enlarge the images,I am reviewing them. How close do you actually have to get to the birds?
OT..Alfredo, I do not want to spoil things for you, so let me know if you really meant me to tell you how long the bump lasts. I can tell you the number of years, chapters, and episodes in the third season that it lasts. Do you want me to tell you? Did you watch Game of Thrones last night?
(I was just thinking about the Star Trek episode where they're threatened by a creepy-looking creature. Kirk bluffs him into submission, but when he beams over to the spaceship, it turns out the creature was just a puppet and the actual guy looks like a little boy. That was Clint Howard, brother of Ron.)
I don't remember BunMan having any phone calls with El Dorado that weren't in front of other people, so of course he'd be very respectful. Or, who's to say that he's even speaking to the kid. He could be speaking to the nanny, or he could be speaking to Dial-a-Prayer.
I still think a woman is more likely, but I feel like Realstela seems way too obvious. (However, every time I say that something's too obvious to be right, I'm wrong.)
Diana, it's true that Shatner is no Olivier, but could you imagine Olivier playing Kirk? Hmmm...
There was no reason for Steve to lie to Genesis. It was a stupid thing to do. He didn't have to tell her the detailed truth, but I feel like there's got to be something wrong in his head if he thinks the natural alternative is to lie to her.
OT..Alfredo...that bedpan scene lasted too long ! Loved seeing Ed Sheeran, and The Hound is back. Sneaky Little finger is still smarmy .
As to the fate of the villains in this show, I do not think that the good guys will sully themselves. I think that Dan and Badbun , who have already gone to the dark side and killed, will be responsible for eliminating the bad guys who are after Laura. Do you think that Dan is going to somehow take care of the folks in that van?
Will they resolve any of the mysteries by the gran finale? -- Who’s ED? Where’s RealEstela and what has she been doing all this time? Who’s Mercy’s other kid? Who's Paloma’s birth mother? I swear if they don’t resolve any of this in Season 1, I’m going to be mighty ticked off.
Niecie, I sure hopeo most of the mysteries by the end of this season. One thing that I'm thinking will be left for the second season is Paloma's biological mother. They've focused on the father but, they have been avoiding that topic for some reason.
Just kidding. It appears they have been writing with an eye for Season II for a while now. My suspicion is they will want a massive cliffhanger at the end of Season I to assure themselves that we will have to come back.
Like when somebody gets run over by a car and the show ends and we don't know if it was fatal or not.
I should know this, but I don't, how long between seasons for this Goat Rodeo with Gongs?
I looked up the second season, and supposedly, they expect to start it by the end of this year. However, I'm sure it'll start in Mexico before it starts here, so maybe beginning of 2018 at the latest.
Tuba-free surf music.
You know, we all have a few friends like that, who try to haul a car on a boat trailer or repair appliances with the power still on.
Bwaaa aaah aaah aaah.....G O N G.
I betcha Danilo did NOT use protection either when he violated our Protagonista like that.
BTW Steve, I've been forgetting to tell you that when Danilow knocked off Porfirio and his sister, Ursula, two of Porfirio's henchmen also perished...so you can add those to your list.
If we're lucky, Fausto and/or Tona can kick the bucket tonight and then Steve can repost the list. :-)
Pup and the radioflyer red wagon your
Little angels? They're cutypies and so
Is the puppy.
I hope Danilower is sterile to the hills.
Tho women get pregnant from rape I really Hope that's not the case with Laura.
The girl got enough to deal with with people from all directions trying to kill her. She do not need to get pregnant with a rapist child. Not the child's fault, but that would be just to much. She would love that child, but
Come on, his DNA shouldn't go any farther than his underwear. Yuck!
I don't want Laura to be pg either, but considering what a juicy plot twist that would be, I'm afraid we might be heading in that direction.
We probably goin that way with the "this baby belongs your brother,he
Drugged me and raped me" theme. Ryan's
Gonna cry when he finds out about that
Then hes gonna kill him. If somebody else don't beat him to. And the line is long.
What is surf music? Thank you.
At least not for 18 years. And by that time providence will have figured out whether it will be a carbon copy, and if yes, it will hopeofully been taken out of the gene pool.
Simple. We just need one more quick little murder and it solves that problem before it blooms.
But don't think of the Beach Boys like this.
Hey, I'm supposed to be doing a recap...
