Caray, Caray!

The doctor reads Antonio and Roxana the good news: he is the father! Roxana smiles wide and thanks the doctor as Antonio immediately storms out. Once alone, the doctor justifies his lie by stating that he did it all for the future of the baby.

In the hallway, Roxana catches up to Antonio and asks her not to be rude because he didn’t get the results he expected. However, she states that he doesn’t have to be with her or take care of the baby if he doesn’t want to because it was unexpected and he doesn’t love her. At that, she storms off but Antonio doesn’t follow her.

Juana and Luisa arrive at a store and begin to look around. An associate asks them if they need help and they accept and tell him that they need a dress for a business meeting. The associate goes to find a couple of dresses and brings them back. Juana is slightly overwhelmed but the associate insists he try them on. Juana would prefer to leave them, as the associate is too overeager, and they go. They go to another store and Juana tries on some dresses though Luisa doesn’t like any of them and neither does Juana. She prefers to leave as she has a headache and Luisa nods. Outside the store, they find another dress, a sexy cocktail number that Luisa insists Juana buy, but Juana shakes her head. Pedro then comes, greets them, and Juana tells him that they haven’t found anything that will look good. Pedro is happy to help her out and Juana smiles before agreeing.

Julio is looking over some documents in Virginia’s store when her secretary comes and asks him what he would prefer to do with the store. Julio prefers to close it and sell as it is nothing without Virginia and the store doesn’t produce as much as he would like. The secretary wonders what she will do for work but Julio will give her severance pay and recommend her with the new owner. She thanks him and leaves.

Juana and Luisa arrive at her apartment and Juana couldn’t be happier than they ran into Pedro as he was able to help her. Luisa thinks she should’ve bought something else, as Pedro has good taste, but Juana is okay for now. She then receives a call from Julio, who tells her he will meet her at the bank, and Juana will take a taxi ASAP. She goes to change with Luisa in tow.

Diego is working with Ramon and he asks when they can go to the movies again. Ramon will go whenever but Fabiola is mad at him right now and he doubts she will want to go. Diego asks him why she is mad and Ramon confesses that it is complicated, as most girlfriends are, though Diego wants to know if sisters are the same way. Diego prefers to not have a girlfriend either and live alone. Ramon smiles and laughs as Antonio comes and asks them how they are doing. While Diego explains the process, Antonio thinks that “a child is a child” and kisses Diego on the head.

Roxana is in her kitchen, rubbing her belly, pleased with the fact that her plan was executed perfectly and now her child will have the best father he can have. She is hopeful that the baby and Diego will help Antonio reconsider and live with them. Just then, she receives a call from the doctor, Dr. Gallardo, who reminds her that he only did what he did to save her baby’s life, and he needs something in exchange: the opportunity to be her doctor throughout her pregnancy and bring her child into the world. She agrees and Gallardo hangs up though Roxana notes that he’s the weirdest doctor she’s met.

Antonio goes to see Fabiola in her office and confesses that Roxana’s baby is his and he doesn’t know if that’s good or bad. Fabiola thinks it’s still good news but Antonio worries about the environment the baby will be born into. The fact of the matter is that Diego grew up with both his parents together and the baby won’t have that. Fabiola is surprised that Antonio won’t get back with Roxana but Antonio reminds her that he doesn’t trust her and doesn’t think he can ever again. Fabiola holds his hand and tells him that the baby will still have an amazing father.

Juana arrives at the business meeting, in a slim black dress with her hair in a braid tied by a bow. Julio is floored and the businessmen ask her to sit down and begin the presentation detailing how the company is focused on solar power and environmentally friendly resources. Juana tells Julio that they seem like good people and she’s happy to have invested with them. They businessmen will send her a monthly statement via email, though Juana has no idea what that is, and Julio will explain it later. She then asks for some trifolds with more information on the company and the businessmen agreed before handing her a copy of the shares she bought and asking her to sign. She obliges and smiles.

Later, Julio drives her home and confesses that she surprised him with her confidence. Juana smiles and confesses that her knees was shaking but she got over it. She’s also happy that they are contributing to a better tomorrow and Julio nods before telling her that the dress she has on looks great. Juana thanks him but she had no idea what to wear until Pedro saw them at the mall and helped them. Julio is not too happy about this but tells Juana that it’s great Pedro was there for her. Juana nods and tells him that Pedro also asked her to dinner and she agreed. Julio nods slightly but thinks that Pedro is way too involved in Juana’s life.

In her office, Fabiola receives a call from the insurance company because her car is ready for pickup tomorrow. She thanks the woman and hangs up as Ramon, who overheard, offers to go pick it up. Fabiola prefers that Lucho pick it up but Ramon gets close to her desk and begs her not be angry anymore as he explained why Dalia was at his house. Fabiola also explained why Francisco was with her and he still got angry. She demands to know why he can get jealous and she can’t. He is quiet and Fabiola confesses that she was happy in the morning, with his surprise banner, but by the night she was angry again and that’s not good for their relationship. All Ramon can say is that he loves her and needs her before caressing her cheek. Fabiola turns away and tells him that the problems between them aren’t solved with a simple caress and kiss. Ramon asks her what she would need but Fabiola doesn’t know. She then leaves and leaves Ramon to think.

Over some beers, Francisco asks Osvaldo why he left his house but Osvaldo only says that he had a fight with Julio and asks about Fabiola. Francisco tells him that nothing has changed, which Osvaldo finds surprising as she was with him the whole funeral and ignored Ramon, but Francisco explains that she and Ramon were in a fight but have since gotten back together. Osvaldo still doesn’t understand how Fabiola chose Ramon over Francisco, and Francisco doesn’t either though he wonders if Antonio and Roxana are back together since they couldn’t keep their hands off each other at the funeral. At this, Agustin, who has been quietly listening, asks if they have a son named Diego and realizes that they are the same Antonio and Roxana that he knows. Francisco smiles at the coincidence and kicks himself for not realizing they were the same person. Agustin then realizes Osvaldo’s mother, Virginia, died and gives Osvaldo his condolences. Francisco then asks if he knew Roxana was pregnant but Agustin is rendered speechless.

Andrea comes home and finds Juana waiting for Pedro to pick her up. Andrea thought she would put on her new dress but Juana reminds her it’s for special occasions. Andrea nods and then goes to answer the door. It’s Pedro and Andrea asks him to please convince Juana to put on her new dress. Pedro realizes that Andrea is speaking and congratulates her after. Andrea thanks him but asks him again to convince Juana to put on the dress. Pedro thinks she looks great as is and she should go however she’s comfortable. Juana smiles and then kisses Andrea goodbye. Once alone, Andrea wonders if Pedro likes Juana.

Antonio arrives at Roxana’s apartment with a sleeping Diego. He puts him to bed as Roxana asks Antonio why Diego’s so tired. Antonio explains that he was helping at the shop and Roxana notes how much fun Diego has with him. She then invites him to dinner but Antonio shakes his head. She asks how much longer he is going to be cold toward her and Antonio responds that nothing has changed between them, regardless of the DNA results, and she better not begin hoping things change. Roxana just wants the baby to have a home but they can’t continue talking as Agustin knocks on the door and demands she open the door. Roxana does and Agustin asks why she didn’t tell him she was pregnant with his baby. Roxana shows him the results and he is shocked that she slept with both him and Antonio at the same time. He throws the results in her face and curses the day he ever met her before storming off. Once alone, Roxana apologizes to Antonio for Agustin’s actions but makes it clear that she wants to be with him and only him. Antonio warns her that Agustin’s reprimands only serve to remind him why they are apart and leaves. She slams closed, frustrated that she doesn’t have Antonio or Agustin.

Juana and Pedro arrive at the restaurant and sit down. Juana notices how fancy the restaurant is and wishes she would’ve listened to Andrea. Pedro thinks the clothes don’t matter, as it’s better to be authentic, but Juana confesses that she’s been more self-conscious since the Medinas died since she’s had to go to fancier places than she’s accustomed to. She then notices two women staring at her at the adjacent table and laughing. She tells Pedro and he tells her that those women must be thinking that Pedro is too old for Juana but Juana thinks they must be thinking she’s too poor for him. She then asks if he thinks she will ever be educated but Pedro tells her she already is but he can teach her anything she thinks she doesn’t know. Juana thanks him and tells him that she wants to learn new things, like about solar power, and Pedro begins to explain this as Juana listens intently.

Over dinner, Andrea tells Fabiola that Juana and Pedro went to dinner since he helped her pick out a dress. Andrea notes that he has very good taste and shows her the dress. Fabiola thinks it’s beautiful and Andrea thinks that Pedro is interested in Juana, romantically, though Fabiola doesn’t believe it, but they both think it’d be for Juana to fall in love.

The waiter takes the order for both Pedro and Juana but calls her his daughter. They share a look between themselves and Pedro reminds her that everyone is looking at him, not her, and then continues to explain solar power.

Fabiola wonders why Jorge has not visited them more often and asks Andrea how he feels. Andrea tells her she saw him briefly at the university but hasn’t spoken to him at length. Fabiola thinks they need to be more supportive as Osvaldo has left and Julio is barely home. Just then, Hortensia arrives, with a handkerchief on her forehead, complaining about the pain. She tells the sisters that she feels faint and they sit her down to call a doctor. Hortensia tells them that she feels horrible, as she even hears Andrea talk, but Andrea tells her she can and Hortensia nods. She then instructs Fabiola to call Francisco but Fabiola is reluctant.

Juana tells Pedro that she would’ve loved to study but had to work at an early age to help her mother and sister, though her sister passed away, and then it was just her and her mother as her father left them too. She then met Ramon’s father, who left as soon as Ramon was born, and then the story repeated itself. She confesses that she was in love but Ramon’s father never loved her and that is her problem, that no one has loved her. Pedro thinks it’s never too late but Juana shakes her head and laughs it off. She prefers to learn all he can teach her but Pedro looks at her, beguiled by her simple charm.

Hortensia demands Fabiola call Francisco, who checked her out in the morning, but Fabiola refuses. Hortensia then asks Andrea to call him but Andrea refuses too and then Dr. Bustos arrives. Hortensia tells him that her head is pounding, her vision is cloudy, and she’s going to faint but nothing came out in the test results she did with Fabiola’s boyfriend, Francisco. Fabiola chides her for lying and Hortensia can’t bring herself to accept Fabiola left Francisco. Bustos interrupts and tells her that he will adjust her medicine but suggests she see a neurologist. Hortensia thinks it’s a waste of money and Bustos shrugs though he will look her over before upping the dosage.

Ramon angrily eats a banana and thinks about his last conversation with Ramon. He thinks he was right in what he said but he doesn’t sound too convincing.

Later, as the sisters watch tv, Fabiola confesses that she thought Hortensia was lying about being sick to get them to call Ramon and Andrea nods. Just then, Juana arrives and tells them that her night went great and she loved the food. Andrea teases her and tells her that he’s trying to impress but Juana reminds them that he’s just been a good friend since their parents died and he’s a respectable man. The girls smile wide and then Juana insists that they go to sleep at once but smiles too.

In bed, Antonio reminds himself that he must tell Margarita Roxana’s baby is his at once as all their lives have changed.

The next day, Antonio visits Margarita and tells her the news about the DNA tests. She asks if this changes things between them but Antonio is unsure. Margarita thinks they can take a break for a bit, while he figures things out, and Antonio agrees as he doesn’t want to be a burden right now. Margarita thinks they are destined to be separated and Antonio nods before holding her hands. He thanks her for understanding and then leaves. Once Alone, Margarita’s eyes water.

In the shop, Fabiola asks Lucho if he can go pick up her car and Lucho agrees. She thanks him and leaves as Ramon, who overheard, asks Lucho if he can help him out. Lucho listens to his plan.

In class, Sara asks Andrea to help her cheer up Jorge and Andrea agrees. Just then, the dean of architecture walks in and introduces the new associate professor, who is none other than Santiago. He smiles at Andrea and she smiles back, surprised but not unwelcoming.

Lucho picks up the car and asks Fabiola to come and meet him as he’s having trouble picking up the car because of a title issue with police. She gets the location and goes immediately.

Santiago explains the new assignments to the class and then asks Andrea to help him pass out some papers the student will need. Sara asks if she knows him but Andrea doesn’t answer and goes to get the papers. She chides Santiago for not telling her he was a professor but he reminds her that she never asked. Andrea then smiles and begins to pass the papers around.

Fabiola arrives in taxi to meet Lucho and then gets in the car. She asks him where the police went and he makes up some excuse about how his ID was sufficient to placate them. She chides for making her come for nothing but he tells her that his cell ran out of battery. Fabiola nods but tells him that they must leave ASAP but Lucho asks her for some time to buy a soda. He steps out and leaves as Ramon gets in, much to Fabiola’s surprise. She demands to know what he is doing there and Ramon tells her that he is going to take her to the sky and beyond, and then she will see how much he loves her. Fabiola smiles slightly as Ramon starts the car and drives away.

Veronica and Porfirio are working in his office when Margarita comes with a stack of folders and asks if she can come in. Porfirio nods and she tells him that she has all the documents needed for their case against Grupo Cresta but wants him to look it over. Porfirio agrees, asks Veronica to please continue to work on her case load by herself and she closes the door, annoyed.

Ramon drives down a grass road but Fabiola demands his stop and then gets out. She insists that he stops trying to be a romantic, by kidnapping her no less, as it’s only making her angrier at him. She asks if he’s crazy and he tells her that he’s crazy for her and has prepared an amazing surprise. Fabiola prefers to leave but they have driven out of the city on the highway, which Fabiola is not comfortable yet driving, though Fabiola doesn’t care. She gets in the car but can barely get the car to turn on, much to her frustration and Ramon’s amusement. He stares at her and tells her that she’s beautiful but Fabiola puts up the windows and ignores him.

Benito is washing a car when Luisa walks by and he flags her down. They are both worried about Fredesvinda as she doesn’t acknowledge anything regarding his relationship with Luisa and they fear she’s gone crazy. Luisa offers up a doctor a friend knows but Benito agrees as they should find out what is wrong with Fredesvinda first before taking more drastic measures. Luisa nods and goes to get the information.

Dalia is in the office, answering calls, when Antonio calls and asks her for information only Fabiola has but she hasn’t returned since lunch. He asks Dalia to tell ask her for the information as soon as she gets in. Dalia agrees and hangs up but realizes that Ramon has not returned since lunch either. She wonders if they are together and calls Fabiola.

Fabiola receives a call from the shop, lowers her window and asks him if she tells them he’s kidnapped her. Ramon quietly shrugs her shoulders and Fabiola answers. Dalia tells her that Antonio needs some information that only she has and Fabiola gives her instructs on how to find the file. Dalia asks her if she’s not going to come back and Fabiola tells her that she’s not feeling well and went home. Once she hangs up, Dalia calls Juana and asks her to communicate her with Fabiola but Juana tells her that she’s not there. Dalia thanks her, hangs up, and calls Fabiola a liar under her breath.

Luisa finds Benito outside the building and gives her the information. They hope that Fredesvinda gets better soon but Benito tells her that they must tread lightly lest Fredesvinda be too scared to go if they tell her. Luisa nods, kisses him goodbye, and Benito calls the doctor.

The nosy neighbor, who saw Luis and Benito kiss, knocks on Fredesvinda’s door, and asks for a glass of water, as it’s hot. After a few quips about the neighbor’s age and possible menopause, she tells Fredesvinda that she saw Benito and Luisa kissing and chides her for keeping their relationship a secret. Fredesvinda insists that she’s blind or hallucinating but the neighbor insists that they are but Fredesvinda has had enough and escorts out before closing the door. She curses Benito and Luisa for their gross PDA.

Over a coffee, Andrea confesses that she was surprised to find out he’s her teacher but Santiago is happy to have her as a student. She tells him that he seems a bit young to be an architect but Santiago has been doing an accelerated program and even has his masters. Andrea is shocked but she asks him about where he studied. Turns out he went to the university she wants to go to when she’s done with her bachelor’s and they bond over their shared interests as Jorge comes and says hello. Andrea introduces him as her cousin and Jorge reads the situation for a second before telling them goodbye and sitting at another table. He watches them as Andrea and Santiago laugh and talk the afternoon away.

That night, Ramon catches a firefly and asks Fabiola to open her window because he has a star for her. She obliges and he owns his hand and shows her the beautiful star he captured for her. Fabiola smiles and opens the car door as billions of fireflies descend on them. Ramon tells her that he asked the sky to lower the stars for them, if only for a little, and Fabiola smiles big, enthralled by the sight. Ramon explains that he discovered this place when he was younger and wanted to give it to her as a gift. She hugs him tightly then and he leans in to kiss her. Fabiola turns toward him and they kiss among the stars…
