Enamorándome de Ramon #45, Monday October 16, 2017; Fabiola Moves in with Ramón and Suffers the Consequences
We left off on Friday with Ramón and Fabiola discussing
their next move and Ramón saying that they need to discuss this with his mother
as well as everyone else.
At Julio Medina’s place, Horrortensia rings the doorbell.
Jorge answers the door and she rushes in, holding her head. “Well I just found
out about Fabiola going to live with ‘the mechanic’”. Julio says, “What? I just
heard that they were going to get married.” Hor says, “No she went to go live
with him. We have to do something to stop them before she ends up pregnant with
a kid. We have to drag her back home!” Margarita says, “That’s not possible.
Fabiola is already of age and we can’t make her do anything.” At this point Hor
starts to get another one of her sick, splitting headaches and escorts her home.
Margarita and Julio decide to go see what happened.
Antonio arrives at Roxy’s place and he calls the doctor
to make a house call. Diego is afraid his mother is going to die, but Antonio
assures him that will not happen. When the doctor examines her, he gives her
the bad news that it appears she is in danger of a miscarriage. He orders
strict bedrest for a week and writes a prescription. Roxy wants to know what is
going to happen now if she’s laid up for the week, after all she has to take
care of Diego. Antonio tells her that he is going to get her some help to come in
and take care of her.
Julio and Marg go to Juana and Juana recounts the
situation with them. She also says she isn’t going to give one peso to Fabiola
over this behavior. Julio then says, “Well, that’s the best thing for them. Let
them face reality on their own.”
Hor sends Jorge to the pharmacy. Then she calls Francisco
and tells him he has to do something to stop Fabi. But he says, “Look, Fabi
already told me to stay away from her. I’m sorry, I can’t do anything.”
Marg calls Antonio to tell him the news about Fabi and
Ramón and wants to know if he can do anything. He thanks her for the
information and says he is going to see what he can do. Roxy tearfully asks if
he is seeing Margarita and Antonio says “Yes, why?” “Oh nothing”, says Roxy. “Well,
do you need anything more? If not, then I need to get Diego his dinner.” Then
Antonio walks out the door.
Sofía’s father Rosendo and fiancé Timoteo toast with
tequila to the upcoming wedding. Tim says, “I was just about to think I would
have to forget about Sofía.” But Rosendo says, “In about a week, we shall all
be family, so let’s drink some more tequila to that!” Outside the door, Sofía
is eavesdropping on the conversation. Her father is discussing a “transaction”
that is going on with a shipment coming in. He and Tim are going to split the
profits 50/50. They discuss the time and place. Sofía goes to her bedroom to
think about her escape.
Osvaldo gets back to the apartment he shares with
Francisco at 2:00 a.m. and finds Fran looking upset and disheveled. He lets Os
know that his cousin Fabiola has gone to live with that fool mechanic. “You don’t
say!” says Os. “Fabiola must be nuts! He’s just a mechanic who wants to take
advantage of her.” Fran says, “So what other thing could he want?”
Antonio arrives at Casa Andrea Medina to speak with
Juana. “Good morning Juana. You already know why I am here. Why didn’t you stop
them?” Juana says, “You think I didn’t try? But they just didn’t listen!” “Well
did you talk to your son yet?” says Antonio. “No I didn’t because I’m very
angry and feel very deceived.” “Well give me your son’s address so I can go talk
with him.” Juana is a little hesitant, but then relents and gives him Ramón’s
address.
Meanwhile, Fabi and Ramón are making breakfast and are
having fun trying to not burn the eggs as they cook and get cooking themselves.
“Would you like me to spend the night with you?” “Well of course I would, you
make me the happiest man on earth! But we have to do the right thing.” “Oh no,
the eggs!” exclaims Fabi. “Oh well”, says Ramon. “With a little salt and some
chipotle sauce, they will be just fine.”
Benito makes him mother breakfast before getting up. Ada
gets up and grabs Fredes’s cup. She is in a really good mood!”
Antonio comes to Ramón’s place and tells Fabi to gather
her things because he’s bringing her home. He looks at Ramón and says, “And
you, YOU’RE FIRED!” Fabi says, “You don’t have any right to do that because I
am also an owner and I don’t agree with that decision!” Ramón tries to calm
Fabi down and says, “Look this is coming from your uncle, and I accept his decision.”
“Well I don’t! says Fabi. “If Ramón goes, so do I.” says Fabi. “Hey I can’t
make you stay” says Tío Antonio. “It’s time that you grow up and learn the
consequences of your actions.” After he leaves, Fabi turns to Ramón and says, “You
see? This is the attitude of my whole family. I am sure Juana feels the same
way. Do you still want to go talk to her?”
Benito meets Luisa on the way to work and starts to
describe the night before to her, concerning how he put the pills in her drink
and everything is working. Luisa wants to know how long this will all take.
Benito says, “Oh about two or three years.” Apparently that is not good enough
for Luisa, as she angrily grabs him by the ear and says, “Well let’s see how
long this takes!” She walks away in a huff. Benito is surprised and starts
chasing after her saying, “Changita! Is there a problem?”
Antonio calls Dalia and tells her that Ramon is fired and
to please call the accountant to take him off the payroll. “Also”, says
Antonio, “Please put an ad in the paper to advertise for a new mechanic.” Dalia
is a little upset to hear this.
Back at Ramón’s place, he says this isn’t the first time
he has been out of work and it probably won’t be the last time. He says he can
find a new job, but is worried about the problems that Fabi has run into
because of all this. Fabi assures him that they will be alright and they will
come out ahead. They just have to trust in each other for the best and they
declare their love for each other. Fabi says, “My family makes me sick. I hate
them!”
Rosendo is talking to Sofía at breakfast and says that
she is going to have a marvelous life with Timoteo. “If you says so, Dad”, not
looking very interested. “This is the way I like it. Now you are understanding
me.” Says Rosendo. “Enough!” says Sofía, “I’m going to my friend Regina’s house.”
Rosendo says, “I’m not going to be eating here. I have some things I have to
take care of.” He calls over his goon and says to get the gang ready to go. He
says to Sofía, “I’ll be home tonight” and gives her a kiss on the head. She goes
back to her room and looks like she is coming up with some kind of plan.
Antonio gets over to Roxy’s place with a suitcase in
hand. He tells Roxy he is going to stay for a while and sleep in Diego’s room.
She thanks him, but Antonio says, “No, don’t thank me. I’m doing this for my
child.”
Outside in the street Francisco confronts Ramón. “Well you
finally got what you wanted,” says Fran. “You have treated Fabiola like a
whatever, just to get her out of her home. I don’t know how she could be so
stupid.” Then Ramón has had enough of this and attacks Fran back. “Don’t you
ever come back” says Ramón. “Because you are going lose, fool!” Fran looks back
and says to himself, “I’m never going to lose.”
Sofía goes to a Tijuana pay phone and calls the Federales
to report her father’s business transactions and their “shipment”. She says to
herself, “I’m sorry Dad. But I’ve never agreed with what you are doing.”
Fabi comes home to confront Juana. She thinks that Juana
was in agreement with her uncle firing Ramón. But Juana didn’t know anything
about it. “Oh so he fired Ramón because of your foolishness” says Juana. “So
you think this is foolishness?” says Fabi. Juana then says, “Yes, it sure is!
And you are suffering the consequences. No one is in agreement with what you
are doing.” Fabi answers, “Well I’m quitting my job too and I want my part of
the money that my parents left.” “No” says Juana. “That money is for your
future and I’m not giving it to you now and much less with this situation.” “But
it’s MY money, Juana!” “I’m not telling you it isn’t but I’m not giving you
anything right now. If I did, it would be like throwing it away in the garbage.”
“We will see about that” says Fabi.
Ramón comes to the shop to collect his last pay. Dalia
starts chiding him and Ramón says he’s tired of listening to this, he just
wants his last check. Dalia says she doesn’t have it yet because she just
called for it. Ramón says, “Fine. Call me when it’s ready and don’t be late!”
Andrea finds Jorge on campus and she says she hasn’t seen
him in a while. He says he is still grieving and Andrea says she wants to help
him and she misses him. They start to argue and Santiago comes up and asks her
to go with him to Xochimilco. So they get ready to go and Jorge sadly leaves.
Fabi barges in at Julio’s office saying she needs to talk
to him. She tries to talk him into getting Juana to give her the money. But he
refuses. He also says that her actions are foolish. Then he says “if that’s all
you have, then I have work to do.”
Susana finds Os on campus and they argue. She wants to
know why he doesn’t want her anymore. He tells her he’s in a time of crisis and
he would rather be alone. She cries and is very upset. She gets angry and says,
“You are a disgrace!” Jorge walks up and wants to know what is going on. “I
broke up with her and please don’t ask me why.” But Jorge goes on to say, “Why
did you hang up on Dad?” “Because I don’t want to talk to him”, says Os. “But
Dad is really regretful about what he did and wants to reconcile with you.” “I
don’t care if he regrets anything.” Jorge asks where he is living and Os tells
him he is living with Francisco. Os says he heard the news about Fabi and Ramón
and can’t believe it. “He’s just a mechanic! Has she gone crazy or what?”
The doctor comes and examines Roxy again and doctor says
she is doing better. Antonio is going to send Socorro to come help her.
Fabi comes to see Marg to tell her the troubles. She
wants to do a legal procedure to make Juana give her the money. But Marg tells
her there is nothing she can do, because the money is legally Juana’s. “Thanks
for nothing” says Juana.
Luisa comes to Juana’s door and they commiserate
together, but Luisa assures her that she believes that Ramón would never be
taking advantage of a situation and be in it for selfish reasons.
Fabi comes back to Ramón’s place and tells him she didn’t
have much luck. He tells her about his confrontation with Francisco. She tells
him that her grandmother must have told him about the news.
Don Pedro comes to Juana with a gift of a book, but
notices that Juana is not in a good mood. Pedro tries to tell her that it’s
hard to keep to lovers apart. Ding dong! It’s Julio at the door. When he sees
Don Pedro, he isn’t too pleased to see him. Anyway, Juana says that Fabi came
and asked for money and Julio says the same. Pedro thinks they are handling it
wrong though and should be giving the young lovers some room. Pedro leaves, but
Julio tells Juana that she shouldn’t be discussing family things with Pedro.
Juana then reminds him, “Ramón is my son and my family.” Julio leaves and goes
to his place. He starts talking to himself, “Pedro is like a rock in my shoe.
He is just interfering with my plans.
At Porfi’s office, Veronica gets a text from a “friend”.
She says to Porfi she has to meet a friend. Then she kisses him, but Porfi
imagines that he is kissing Margarita instead.
Ramón calls about a job he sees advertised and gets
scheduled for an interview.
Veronica goes to meet her “friend” Señor Pastrana. Seems
she is going to be selling information to him and gives him her price. The
whole time she pretends she doesn’t know him. He accepts her price and then she
orders some strudel.
At Julio’s place, Jorge tells his dad that he saw Os at
school and found out he is living with Francisco. Julio wants to know how he
got the money to do that, but Jorge doesn’t know.
Susana is snacking on junk food when Emilia walks in and
tells her this isn’t the way to handle things. Obviously, Susana is feeling pain
over the breakup but of course Emilia isn’t very helpful. She calls her mother
corny and tells her that she has put her in a bad mood.
Fabiola goes back to the shop and runs into Dalia,
getting into an argument before Antonio comes in to stop it. She packs her
things and leaves.
Ramón comes to his job interview and meets the lady he
spoke to over the phone about the job. She goes to tell the boss that he’s there.
While she goes, there is a TV on reporting the news about Rosendo and Timoteo getting
arrested.

Thanks Cynthia. I guess I have just seen too many goat rodeos, this happy horseshoot is not even interesting. It is none of any of their business. So Fab is banging one of the mechanics at her shop, and Andrea is one kiss away from banging either her cousin or her professor at school. Typical. Get them both on the pill and cross your fingers. You can't unscrew somebody, but you can forget it later on, but you can't unhave a baby, nor can you pretend it never happened.

You write so well and your conversation translations were perfect. The screen shots had me smiling away.
It was hard to enjoy Ramon and Fabiola burning their eggs while Sofia is fighting for her life.
When we saw Sofia eavesdropping on her father and her prize of a fiancée, deciding her fate with not a thought to who or what she might want, my heart went out to her. What a terrible situation she is in. No mother, no one to turn to, her unadorned, plain and utilitarian bedroom seemingly her only sanctuary. She does not appear to be a pampered, spoiled princess (as Kirby recently noted). While I mean no disrespect to Fabi, Sofia does not have the luxury of crying and mewling in self pity. She needed to act and act fast.
Girl has guts, doesn't she Kirby? Her father is loathsome but I don't know if I would have had the courage to turn him in. Looks like things are happening at lightening speed. But where on earth will she go? Does her father have a "long arm" that will stop at nothing to find her? Ramon looked thoughtful watching the news, but he still doesn't know why Sofia left him.
I enjoyed Julio’s unhappy double take seeing Pedro was at Juana’s.
Roxana seemed to appear slightly uncomfortable. I couldn’t tell if her conscience was bothering her or if she was simply disappointed Antonio wasn’t begging her for another chance?
Emilia and her daughter make my skin crawl. So does Oz.
I see nothing preventing Santiago and Andrea from getting together. Julio has no thought of revealing the truth and Jorge wants to keep the cousins on the straight and narrow. Looks like a lot more heartache for Jorge.

As Andrea and Santa were walking away, poor Jorge stood in the background watching, knowing (he thinks) that he and Andrea have a forbidden love which is so hard to fight. It was just heartbreaking.

So everyone from the cameraman on down to the maid is constipated about Fabi moving in with Ramoon. Now is the perfect time to spring it on them that they are getting married too.
Do it soon Fab, cause that girl at the new mechanic shop was drooling over Ramoon as he mentioned he might like a job there. Not to mention that with Pop and Poop in jail, Sofia's chances of escape are pretty good now. And you know she is going to make a bee line to the 'Honey'. Like every other little honey bee in this show.

Cynthia, thank you so much for the recap. I loved the screen caps, too. that first one is quite an embrace. These two have chemistry and do not seem uncomfortable in the love scenes.
Lucio..You said it all. I wonder if Mexico is just getting into the trend of couples living together . It has become a norm here in the U.S. whether parents approve or not. I think more people do it than not, but in this telenovela , it is causing a tempest in a teapot.

I think Ramoon and Fab are getting a very rude awakening. Yes, they luurve each other, but luurve is never enough. Their troubles will tear them apart very quickly especially witht heir temperaments and distrust of each other any time Franccofart and Sofia's names come up. Now that Ramoon knows Sofia's sequesters are locked up, what will he do? If Sofia comes acallin" will he refuse to helpher? Betcha he doesn't...

As far as Sofia's Dad is concerned. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I would turn him in in a heartbeat. He, mind you, is setting her up to marry someone she can not stand with the subsequent nightly marital rapes. AND she hasn't even done anything wrong. He, on the other hand is guilty of what I just described against his own daughter, in addition to what she turned him in for. You go Sofia.

I just don't like the hoity toity "he's just a mechanic" as though he were some kind of lowlife. Hey, he had a job and still has a vocational skill! That ought to count for something, right?
I was glad that Sofia called the Federales on her father and "boyfriend". She definitely does not want this arranged marriage that was supposed to take place in a week.

The bird is actually a Great Blue Heron, and it is grey. I shot this pic late in the day in Winter as the sun was getting orange, so the bird is orange too.
