Caer En Tentacion #13, 11/1/17: All In The Family; Or True Confessions

  • Raquel gets control of herself and pulls away from Santiago's embrace.  They are two adults who can control themselves and must.  She tells him about the keys she found in Dam's possession when they took him to the hospital.  What secrets?  She tells him to leave.
  • Laura cries and accuses Godoy of staying out of guilt and pity.  He tries to make love to her;  she seems to give in then stops abruptly and screams that she can not!!  He's left very high and not so dry....
  • Juan (Mr. Gym Teacher) catches Lola the next day and accuses her of two-timing him with Mike, and making him into a fool.  He guesses Mike's who she slept with for the cash.   She doesn't deny getting the cash.  Was she perhaps forced?  She denies that.  She asks him to leave her the heck alone.  He refuses.

  • Lisa tells Santiago she found out that Carolina and "that man" bought a house together.  They were about to sign the papers when the attorney died, or something.  Nicolas overhears and wants the truth, the whole truth and nothing but.
  • Mia cannot sleep and crawls into bed with Raq, careful to hide her scars from Mama, but Raq already seems to know about them.
  • Santi goes looking for Lola.  She is in an apartment, probably Juan's.  He promises he won't touch her.  Just come on out.  She believes him.  He goes ape-shit crazy and takes after her; he beats her up.
  • Dam is angry leaving the principal's office and tells Raq he wants answers.  They see Nicolas on the school grounds accusing and attacking Mr. Popular and the posse.  P lies to Nico and says he never did a thing, not that Nico had any rights over Mia to beat him up like he did.  Nico beats him again to the ground.  Dam and Raq race over demanding to know if they're the guys at that so called party.  P says he didn't plan anything,  It was Mia who invited him!  He's all sweetness and light.  He swears they never touched her.   It was all Mia's idea.
  • Meanwhile, Mia tells Fedi what really went down.  He wants to protect her and will.  He'll take care of P.  She admits then to her other secret and shows him her scars.  He promises to keep mum about that.
  • Lola races out of the house and Caro avoids Santi's inquisition about Lola and her comings and goings.  Lola apparently went out to meet Juan.  They've begun a relationship.
  • Dam comes home and blames Mia for what happened.  Fedi tries to explain and takes Mia's side.  He starts wheezing and Raq tells Dam to lay off.  Dam gets pissed and he and Caro meet up in the car.  Caro doesn't want to keep meeting like this.  He just wants to blow off steam and forget responsibilities.  She doesn't but she's enthralled by his silver tongue--usually.  This time she gets upset enough to leave.
  • Santi arrives at Raq and Dam's for the daily work.  Raq looks him in the eye and wonders if he trusts Caro.  She asks him if he knows whether Dam could be cheating on her with another woman.  Santi doesn't think so.  She trusts Santi with one of her secrets and takes him to the hospital she's got Cinthia in for treatment.  She admits she's never told Dam this and it's why she's begun the catering business.
  • A few nights later is the catering job.  Dam and Santi are lending a hand.  Caro and Lola are cooking in the kitchen.  Raq is overseeing things.  Andres comes into the kitchen and Lola's smile fades.  Caro looks over at him and asks where he's met Lola before.  Here and there.
  • A bit later he confronts Lola in the kitchen and threatens her if she doesn't sleep with him.  (Mike and he have let her believe she slept with Mike and Patricia that day; she doesn't really know she didn't because she was drugged.)  Andy will publish the pictures of her with Pati and Mike if she doesn't give in.  Just then Dam walks in and sees the change and fear in Lola's eyes.  He tells Andres to get lost.
  • The cops determine that Dam and Carol were being black mailed.  Somebody was trying to extort money from them to keep him quiet about their affair.  When they wouldn't pay up, they attacked them.  (Perhaps they didn't expect the wreck to be deadly?)
  • Raq gives Santi the keys to the love nest but he won't go without her to see it.  She refuses
  • Lola asks Mike to pull Andres off her.  "--No can do."  Caro realizes this is the guy from the supposed Menage a Trois and Lola admits that plus tells her about Andres' threats.  Caro promises it ends tonight.  She tells Dam.
  • Lola later comes to Andres and asks what he wants from her.  She'll comply.  He tells her where and when.  She appears shocked to see him, Mike, and a 3rd bozo.  Just then Dam appears and tells her to leave.  He'll handle this.  He tells Andy he always knew he was a twerpy dude and now he's got the proof.  "--You do know she's under age, right?"  It ends now or else I go to the police.  Andres gives.
  • Caro, meanwhile, avoids telling Santi anything and keeps him occupied in the storeroom.
  • Dam comes back to Lola and tells her it's all over and not to worry about Andres any more.
  • Caro and Santi are back home.  She gets a call at the house and lies that it's Lisa.  Vicente beat her up again and she's going out to Valle to comfort her.  They fight over whether Santi will driver her there or not.  She races off and tells him a final NO!
  • Caro has really gone to the love nest to meet Dan.  She tries to tell him this is the last time.  He uses that silver tongue of his in more ways than one to convince her to stay.  They end up by the fireplace in a blaze of passion, sheets and pillows and blanket there to cover only the barest of bared parts.....

Um, yeah, so Damian seemed much more enthused about helping Lola than helping Mia.

And after having learned predators were coming for your daughter, instead of staying and helping your daughter, you make plans to have sex in the cabin. This goes for both Caro and Dam.

Why did Lola go to the apartment with Rapey Gym Teacher when she was out in the streets?

Anon207: Lola was stupid.

Thank you Jardinera for keeping things straight.

This episode had some going back and forth with Lola in the past and the present that got confusing. GT beats her up in the present right? He is sick, and so is Lola for staying with him and going with him. She has very low self esteem.

IMHO the worst character in this TN is Carol, she is full of it "oh no Damian let's not do this, oh no Damian this is wrong" she knows she is not seriously going to stop this train wreck but keeps on pretending. She is in the freaking cabin with a married man, after having lied to her family and still says "oh no Damian, we can't" PLEASE!!!!! it adds nothing to the TN, what we are supposed to believe she did all she could to resist the temptation, NO YOU DID NOT!!!
Sorry had to get that of my chest.

Right up there with Carol in Villain of the year is ANDRES and GT two very sick dudes.

Jardinera, an excellent recap!

I can't say how much I enjoy your tongue in cheek attitude. "He's left very high and not so dry" was a wry observation that had me smiling away.

While almost all of this has been sobering, the scene that made me shiver was Lola, Andres and the other demented men. The atmosphere and Andres' countenance was chilling. Of course Damian should have called the police then and there. Lola's relief and seemingly genuine hug made me remember she is a young girl, in very serious trouble. Her youthfulness and sweet expression belie all of the torment she has been subjected to.

Mia is catlike and oh so watchful. Her own stories seemingly too sordid and sad to be true.

I'm starting to feel the affair may not be this story's central issue. The utter destruction of (at least) two young lives may end up being the biggest cautionary tale.

Carol telling Damian to stop their twisted relationship in bed is like a sports commentator yelling at footballers to stop playing football during a live game. Too freaking late sweetheart.

I'm starting to consider Dam as a malicious predator. Since he doesn't seem to feel guilt he must have done this before. Why didn't Dam simply visit a hooker or something? I'm aware that its about the lies not sex but still. Does Dam have a fetish of secret relationships?

But then again I haven't heard of hookers giving emotional connections but Dam doesn't seem to be in the need of one. He just wanted a person he could seduce, manipulate and toy with at his whims. There was no love present for him.

Thanks Jardinera.

It seems to me that Damian is caught up in the fantasy world of being with Carolina and doesn't know or care what's going on with his kids. I am too surprised that he defended Lola but isn't doing anything to help his own daughter. I'm still convinced he seduced Carolina. I haven't seen any evidence of her consciously reeling him in as well. She, however, is giving in. Despite her saying she can't continue seeing him obviously we know she can't stay away from him considering they just slept together for the first time.

In the 'three years prior' storyline I'm already seeing evidence of the growing friendship and trust between Santi and Raq. The fact that she felt comfortable enough to tell him about Cinthia and that Damian doesn't know is very telling.

Andres and Juan are getting creepier by the episode. I honestly didn't expect Juan to be so sick and possessive when we were first introduced to him.

Thank you, Jardinera.

So many despicable people in this show. Watching these storylines play out is disgusting. Andres is a monster. Damaged Dam is a goodlooking guy who enjoys the thrill of the chase, and the chases have probably never lasted long because women have been easy to seduce using his charm and good looks. Shallow water.

Being a teenager has never been easy, but nowadays it is like being in a minefield. Depressing.

Gracias, Jardinera.

I agree with TF regarding Juan. He gets sicker with every episode. Based on yesterday's discussion Lola is unlikely to get any satisfaction if she reports him to school authorities as he could easily rat her out as a ho. WTF has been going on in her family that led to the poor choices she has made? It has to be more than seriously relative poverty.

Andres is a true monster. Nothing else need be said about him other than his parents must have been far worse than Damian's.

Damian's mother is a sick, twisted woman who has left her mark on him in some way that led to him having half a marriage and a fully adulterous relationship that may or may not be the first. I also think that neither he nor Raquel knows enough about what's been going on with Mia because she won't tell them.

To me seeing your husband getting along with (sharing dreams, future goals) with another person is far more devastating than your husband banging a secretary. Just cause he banged a secretary it doesn't mean he's going to go live with her or that she's going to be their new step-mommy. Like always their's always a hierarchy , even in affairs. The further you go the deeper the pain becomes:

0.)Getting sexual favors from a hooker or escort. Affects nothing as it's just a transaction between two accepting parties. I've seen couples invite hookers to spice up their sex life.
1.) one night stands with a hairdresser, doctor, waitress etc. A bit douchebaggery but still it's nothing deep, just flesh and blood.
2.) multiple affair with same random person. Affects family more than expected.
3.) Affair with someone you or your partner know deeply but still it's nothing deep. Kind of when boyfriends have sex with their girlfriends sister.
4. Affair with someone you know deeply but this grows to something similar like Santi&Raquel. Kids are always involved. Also a husband/spouse may want to run away with those people. The lover might become your new stepdad/stepmother

Guys I'm so sorry about not having a recap up for you, I have a raging throat/ear infection that's killing me :/

Jardinera--Thanks to infinity and beyond for covering the episode on such short notice. Three nights in the same week is way beyond what we ask of our recappers. Princess--I hope you recover soon.

This was quite an episode. I'll be back later this afternoon.

That's why I wonder if having these affairs is a power trip for Damian. Remember, Raquel was with Andres BEFORE she was with Damian. While we know Raquel would've eventually dumped Andres because he's scum, I wouldn't be surprised if Damian saw getting Raquel from Andres as a little power game.

Same with Carolina and Santiago. While he was attracted to Carolina before he knew she was Santi's wife, Damian had no problems snatching up another man's wife and smiling & grinning in the husband's face.

Damian also could've had some affair with Cinthia, forbidden because she is his wife's sister.

I'm trying to understand why Raquel is hiding the problems with Cinthia from Damian but sharing them with Santiago?

Thanks Jardinera654. These two people are disgusting.Talk about lo-life crap slim. Everytime Caro says"No we can't
Do this to them she opens her legs and in he goes and that's it. Dam knows how to shut her up about what they're doin To santi & raq. When and if he wakes up,I hope he remembers every thing He's done in living color and feels the pain of it all. Caro already feelin them flames.

Now is there a daughter from each fami
ly that's in a mess? Or is it a girl
From each family? One was gang raped &
The other is being pursued bya pervert
Gym teacher. Sad situation. And all of this while dad and the other woman and
Mom and the other man are "burnin the barn".Thats an expression for burnin passion. What the Ol folks used to say
Loooooong time ago.You young folk call
It something else.Lol.Ok then the keys
To the love shack. They should have let
Miriam tag along, so she can see what
Her so-called perfect son has been up
To. Unfaithful Jerk.

Nina...You are always all about the unvarnished truthiness of the situation.,girl.

Actually Damian is treating Caro the same way she complains Santiago is treating her. There was one episode where Caro was excited about her first catering gig and wanted to make it a success & Damian was all like "eh why can't you put that aside to have more sex with me?"

Last night in the car, Caro was saying how worried she was about Lola and her situation and Damian's attitude was more like "Eh, put that aside and come away with me this weekend to have sex."

Yet Caro complains that Santiago just wants her to cater to her needs but Damian is essentially doing the same thing.

It's just that Caro gets a benefit out of Damian that she can't get with Santiago (hot sex, expensive shoes, fantasy).

I am finding it hard to imagine any alternate universe where Raq would be attracted to Andres.

Andres probably played the cynical dork which makes some women swoon over them. In YNCH Maria Dolores(Adriana Louvier) got attracted to Daniel(Flavio Medina) who was class S evil.

I find this quote appropriate from Marvel's Daredevil : "It is the clever man that plays the fool. And a foolish woman who does not recognize it."

Hey guys first time commenting here but I've been enjoying the novela.

When they went to the rehab facility, Raquel mentioned she'd been under the impression that Sinthia had been studying at Europe before recently finding out about Sin's addictions and was still beating herself up for not realizing sooner her sister was in trouble. She also tells Santiago part of the reason she hasn't told Damien is she knows Miriam would jump at the chance to pile on the blame on Raq. I figure that and Damien's handling of issues with the kids is why she's kept quiet but it's eating her up inside hence opening up to Santiago.

Oh I don't think it's been mentioned but the scene where Mia crawls into bed with her mom was in the present (after the accident). Mia tried to cover up her scars but Raq told her she didn't have to hide with her and apologized (probably not for the first time) suggesting at some point in the three years at the very least Raquel found out about Mia's issues and hopefully got her the help she needs.

Unfortunately it seems like even in the present there is not one good person who knows the true extent of Lola's problems and thus no one can help the poor girl.

Mia's problems may have been found out in the three year span. We know she showed Federico about the cutting and he promised not to tell. But Raquel also may have found out in the 3 year span as well and gotten Mia some help. Present day Mia doesn't seem as creepy as 3 years ago Mia.

Lola is a different situation. Caro (and Dam) knew about Lola's problems but she didn't share that with the girl's father. Her priorities were elsewhere. Now Caro is dead and has taken Lola's problems to the grave with her. Santiago still doesn't know and Nico probably doesn't know the extent of Lola's problems either. Nico seems to know a lot more about MIA's problems than Lola's. Now that Caro is dead and Dam is in a coma, nobody knows how deep in trouble Lola is except Lola and the people preying on her.

Santiago has asked her to reveal her situation but she refuses and it will be to her own detriment, especially since I think Lola will end up in prison because of her text threats to Patricia (she's texted Patricia that she's going to kill her, and Miguel/Andres will probably kill Patricia and frame Lola).

Welcome Omar!

Well Mia seems emotionally stable so far. I hope she and Lola become friends and help eachother out. They seem to be dealing with similar stuff .

Both Raquel &Caro seem to have dead parents. We also haven't heard of Dam's father except that the business belonged to his dad and that Miriam is a board member/co-owner. Santiago's father was a cop. Chances of a connection are between slim to a million but it's quite interest how relatable the couples are.

SPOILERS : I remember recapping Que Te Perdone Dios where the main villain , Fausto(Sergio Goyri) seemed to be everywhere causing mayhem in places unknown. An example would be when it was revealed Fausto caused a construction accident to an uncle of his foreman's son for reasons undisclosed. It was a big twist when we learned they both knew each-other. I was pissed cause I just wanted it to be a casual accident. It just ruined the mystery for me.

CountAlacran, none of your adultery scenarios in your 1:53 post are acceptable. All send the message to the injured partner that s/he is "not enough for me."

On the subject of parents, both Raquel and Carolina have sold the parental homes, so we can safely assume that their parents are dead. Raquel sold her parents' home and used the money to begin paying for Cinthia's rehab; we don't know when that began. The most recent payments came from money gotten from Damian's business. Knowing what Miriam is like we didn't have to hear Raquel explain why she never told Damian about Cinthia's issues. I understand completely why she wouldn't want to tell him about this.

We don't know what happened with the money from Carolina's parents' house. We don't know if she used it to pay debts or if it's stashed somewhere that Santiago doesn't know about. Nor do we know when that happened.

Per Anon207's most recent post: Lola could end up getting arrested for prostitution. That would give Miriam more fuel for the fire she is setting over an affair that hasn't happened. And it would devastate Santiago.

Welcome Omar,

Great catch yes Mia crawled into Raquel's bed in the present time, and I do agree that Raquel knows about the cuts. She may have even gotten her some help because Mia does seem less depressed in the present. She is still a brat though, she calls Miriam to snitch on her mom.
