Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :D

Hortensia tells Julio that Luisa must be plotting against her with Juana, but Julio just rolls his eyes.

Adalgiza is looking at magazines as Fredesvinda prepares dinner. She receives a text from Finito, who tells her that it was fate they met today and asks her how she feels. Adalgiza tells him that she feels better and thanks him for his kind words that afternoon when Benito walks in. He tells them that his first day went well but storms off to his room. Adalgiza worries that Benito will never forgive her for showing him the photo of Luisa and Finito, but she soon receives a poem from Finito and smiles to herself as she reads.

Over dinner, Dalia tells Valente and Ramon that Antonio is a ball of nerves, not just because of Ramon’s shop, but also because Roxana took Diego without Antonio’s permission. Dalia wonders if Roxana took Diego out of the country but Valente reminds her that Roxana needs Antonio’s permission to do that. Ramon laments that Diego is missing, and Dalia is surprised as there is no love lost between him and Antonio. Ramon doesn’t resent Antonio though, especially after all he helped him when he first arrived, and suggests the three of them do whatever they can to help.

Roxana’s friend’s housekeeper is reading Diego a bedtime story as he tries to fall asleep. Roxana arrives then, and Diego gets up and hugs her. He asks her to stay with him, since he doesn’t want to be alone tonight, but Roxana reminds him that he’s a big boy but agrees to stay with him while he falls asleep. The housekeeper leaves them, and Roxana then sits down next to Diego to finish reading the bedtime story.

In Margarita’s apartment, Antonio stresses over the fact that he hasn’t heard from Diego. Margarita reminds him that he still must be in Mexico, as Roxana can’t take him out of the country, and reiterates that Roxana is not a bad mother so Diego must be safe. Antonio is not so sure, but Margarita asks him to rest first and tomorrow they can look for Diego. Antonio thanks her for her help and hugs her tight.

The next day, Ramon drops off the client’s truck and asks him where the nearest bus stop is. The client tells him, pays Ramon, and then sends him on his way. Just then, Ramon receives a call from Sofia, who asks him if he’s coming soon, but he tells her that he may be a while and walks to the bus stop.

Roxana says goodbye to Diego as she’s going to go eat with a friend. Diego asks to come with her, but Roxana thinks he will be bored and calls over the housekeeper, Amelia, so she can play with him. Roxana then asks for a goodbye kiss, but Diego stumps his feet and refuses to kiss her. Roxana calls him rude and leaves as Diego falls to the floor. Amelia helps him up and tells him that they are going to go get some ice cream to cheer him up. Diego agrees, halfheartedly.

Fabiola is at her desk when Antonio calls her. He explains that he’s resolving a tax issue and will be in later than usual but forgot to charge his cell phone, so he will need her to see if there is any news about Diego. Fabiola agrees as Antonio’s cell phone dies.

Julio receives a call from Osvaldo’s university. They explain that they have a resolution to Osvaldo’s case but haven’t been able to locate him, so they need Julio to come to the University. Julio agrees and hangs up.

Ramon is eating lunch and waiting for the bus when he sees Diego sitting with Amelia in a gazebo. He calls Antonio, but it goes directly to voicemail. He then calls Fabiola and begs her not to hang up as he found out from Dalia that Diego is missing and is looking at the little boy right now. He snaps a quick photo of Diego with Amelia and sends it to Fabiola. She asks him for his location and she leaves to go meet Ramon, who will keep a close watch on Diego while she arrives.

Dalia is at her desk staring at a photo of her and Valente. She tells herself that he’s very good-looking and she enjoys spending time with him when Fabiola runs out her office, asks her to tell Antonio to call her if he arrives because she found Diego, and leaves.

Luisa arrives at Juana’s and asks her for help because Hortensia is ruining her life and she needs Julio to find someone quick before she quits. Luisa managed to escape because she told Hortensia she went to check on the beans and needed to tell Juana that Benito was fired for getting drunk on the job because of a woman. Luisa assumes it was Adalgiza, who must’ve dumped him, though Juana will miss him because he’s been working at the building for years. Luisa thinks it’s for the best as it was getting harder to see him daily knowing they weren’t together. Juana then asks Luisa how things are going with Finito and Luisa explains that he’s being strange since he won’t sleep with her unless they are married, and she won’t get married to anyone but the love of her life, Benito. Juana thinks Finito is very nice but when Luisa suggests Juana marry Pedro, who’s also nice, Juana shakes her head, finally understanding.

Roxana and Daniel finish their golf game and Daniel complements her on her game though Roxana admits that she doesn’t play much, not since she lived in Miami, which she loved. Daniel reveals that he has an apartment in Aventura and Roxana thinks it must be beautiful and she hopes to return one day. Daniel looks at her, knowingly.

Julio meets with the University representative, who shows him the proof that Osvaldo and another student sold stolen exams. He explains that the exams were given to Osvaldo and the other student by an employee of the university, who has since been fired, and he has decided not to proceed against Osvaldo legally, despite the extensive proof. Julio thanks him for his consideration and the representative tells him that he doesn’t want to see anyone in jail though Osvaldo and all those involved won’t be able to finish their studies at the University or any of its affiliates. Julio realizes that Osvaldo’s studies are lost, and the representative is story too but those are the rules. Julio thanks him for his help and leaves.

At the mall, Osvaldo tries on a shirt for Emilia, but she thinks a brighter color, like a green, will look better. The salesperson agrees with his mother and goes to find the shirt. Once alone, Emilia and Osvaldo laugh at the salesperson’s cluelessness.

Diego asks Amelia to take him back home, so he can wait for Roxana, but Amelia would rather feed the birds. Diego begs her to take him back and she obliges. Ramon calls Fabiola and tells her that he will follow Diego and the woman and send her the new location. Fabiola thanks him and hangs up.

Margarita calls Porfirio’s but office but gets his old receptionist, who tells him that he’s not in the office. Margarita asks her to leave a message for Porfirio, so they can meet later and hangs up as Fabiola calls her to ask if she can go find Antonio since Ramon found Diego and she’s on her way to find them. Margarita obliges and will call Fabiola when she’s with Antonio.

Ramon follows Amelia and Diego home and see them enter a house. He then calls Fabiola to give her the address and tells her that he won’t move until they come back out.

Inside the house, Amelia tries to cheer Diego up, but he wants to call Roxana since he memorized her cell. Amelia nods and goes to get a phone.

In the car, Daniel tells Roxana that he had a great time and would like to surprise her with something else: a trip to his house. Just then, Diego calls her and begs her to come home so they can leave. Roxana orders him to entertain himself and stop interrupting her every five minutes. She hangs up and Daniel asks her who Diego is. She confesses that he’s her son, but he’s been behaving very badly lately. Daniel looks suddenly awkward but Roxana smiles slightly, hoping to dispel the tension.

Fabiola arrives at the house and parks the car. She asks Ramon where Diego is, and he points at house before asking is he’s seen Roxana. Ramon shakes his head and Fabiola tells him that she will send Margarita their location, so she can come with Antonio. Ramon suggests they go get Diego themselves, instead of waiting, and then Antonio can deal with Roxana. Fabiola agrees, and they walk toward the house.

In the car, Daniel reminds himself that a woman with a child won’t do and tells Roxana that he completely forgot about a client meeting he had and needs to cancel their date. Roxana, who perfectly understands his reasons, suggests she take a taxi but Daniel offers to drop her off.

Fabiola knocks on the door and announces that she’s Fabiola Medina and is there to see her cousin. Amelia comes out and tells them that Roxana didn’t leave instructions for her to let Diego leave with them, but Diego comes out then and hugs Fabiola tight. He explains that Roxana told him they were going on vacation, but she left him alone and wants to leave. Ramon suggest they wait for Antonio and Diego pulls them inside, much to Amelia’s chagrin.

Antonio comes out of the tax office and finds Margarita waiting for him. She explains the situation and gives him the location before telling him to go alone to avoid any issues with Diego. Antonio thank s him and leaves.

Julio calls Osvaldo and chides him for not answering his calls immediately as he had news from the University. He orders Osvaldo to come home immediately and hangs up as Emilia comes and kisses Osvaldo on the cheek. She whispers that she wants to take him home to try on his new clothes, but Osvaldo tells her that his father called him, and he must go home. Emilia shakes her head, frustrated.

Andrea is going to class when Sara flags her down and apologizes for her past behavior; she would just hate for Andrea to go to Chile mad at her. Andrea tells her to not be a hypocrite because she knows Sara has never been a friend and she’s also not leaving so Sara better get used to having her around and seeing her with Jorge. Sara asks her about Santiago, but Andrea asks her to mind her business and storms off.

Osvaldo arrives home and finds Julio, who explains that he is no longer allowed at the University and should consider himself lucky that they are not pressing charges. Julio then tells him that his crime will be reported at all the universities and he will be lucky to find any school that will let him finish his studies. Osvaldo prefers to be a businessman than a student, but Julio doubts he can be anything besides a drug dealer. He wonders where Osvaldo gets his money from, since the clothes he has on are new, and Osvaldo reveals he has a female friend who helps him out. Julio doesn’t care anymore though and demands Osvaldo start paying for everything he consumes, if he wants to stay with him, and Osvaldo agrees though it won’t be for long. Julio nods and tells Osvaldo he will also be responsible for taking care of Hortensia, whenever necessary, until he can support himself and leave. Julio then tells Osvaldo that he is extremely disappointed in him and leaves.

Porfirio’s receptionist gives him Margarita’s message when he arrives, and Porfirio tells her to call Margarita and tell her that he will meet her in his office at 7pm. He whispers that he still has enough time to get ready and leaves again.

Juana sees Julio in the parking lot, crying, and goes to ask him what happened. Julio explains the Osvaldo situation, between tears, and kicks himself for being a horrible father as Osvaldo was almost sent to jail and he could care less. Juana reminds him that Jorge is a great kid, but Julio laughs because he knows the truth. Juana wonders what he means by that, but Julio shakes his head and tells her that he must get back to work. He gets in his car and Juana tells him that Osvaldo will get better, he just needs to have faith. Julio thanks her and leaves as Juana looks at him.

Antonio, who is charging his phone in the car and on his way, gets a call from Diego. He tells Diego that he was very worried, but he is on his way to get him. Diego thanks him and apologizes for being mean but he was mad at him. Antonio tells him that he is the most important thing in his life and to never forget it. Diego tells him that he is waiting for him and hangs up before noticing Ramon and Fabiola, sitting side by side, watching him. He asks if they are back together and they clear their throats, uncomfortable as Roxana comes and screams for them to leave. Diego demands to know why she didn’t tell Antonio that they were leaving, and Roxana chides him for calling Antonio. Ramon explains that he found Diego by coincidence and called Antonio to come pick him up as she took Diego without his consent. Roxana reminds them that she’s his mother and can take him whenever she wants though Diego screams that he wants to be with Antonio. Roxana takes out her phone to call t
he police so they can arrest Ramon and Fabiola, but Fabiola reveals that the police are looking for her since Antonio reported her for taking Diego without his consent. Roxana is shocked that Antonio would do such a thing, after all he’s done to her, but Fabiola knows the truth about what she did from Antonio and Agustin. Roxana tells her that they know nothing and then grabs Diego from Fabiola. Diego begins to cry as Roxana holds him back and orders him to be quiet. Ramon and Fabiola leave then, to not make things worse, and Roxana demands Diego pack his things because they are leaving. Diego runs away from her, crying, and locks himself in his room as Roxana orders him to open the door.

Outside, Fabiola calls Antonio and asks him to hurry as Roxana came home and kicked them out. Antonio fears that she will take Diego again, but Fabiola assures him that she and Ramon aren’t leaving till he gets there and, if Roxana tries to leave, they will stop her.

Roxana has managed to get Diego out of his room and asks Amelia for the number to a taxi service. She then calls her friend, Marta, and tells her that things got complicated with Antonio and must leave. She thanks Marta for her help and hangs up as Amelia comes back with the taxi number. She demands Diego sit still while she makes the call.

In the car, Fabiola and Ramon wait for Antonio to come. By mistake, Fabiola places her hand on Ramon’s but immediately takes it off and apologizes. They both slightly smile at each other and wish they could hug but don’t. Just then, they see a taxi pull up and then Diego and Roxana coming out of the house. They run to them and Fabiola grabs Diego and tries to pull him away from Roxana. Roxana orders them to stop and gets in the taxi with their bags. As the driver pulls away, Ramon jumps on the hood of the taxi to try and stop them. The driver goes in reverse to try and push Ramon off when Antonio arrives and blocks his path. Ramon jumps off the hood and opens Diego’s door. He grabs Diego quickly and takes his to Antonio as Roxana screams that Diego is also her son. Diego can only cry uncontrollably in Antonio’s arms.

Juana calls Julio at work and asks him how he is feeling. Julio is better, and Juana offers to cook him dinner at the apartment though Julio would prefer to meet at the hotel, so they can finish what they started. Juana is unsure, but Julio needs to feel her in his arms, and Juana finally agrees. They will meet in a hotel restaurant and then get a room. Juana agrees, and Julio hangs up. Once alone, Juana wonders how she could’ve agreed to such a thing, but she would love to be with Julio too. In fact, she never thought she would fall in love as she has.

At his office, Julio calls the hotel and makes a reservation for a room with a Jacuzzi. HE smiles at himself, satisfied.

As Ramon and Fabiola console Diego, Antonio threatens to call the police on Roxana since he reported her for kidnapping. Roxana is shocked at his actions, but Antonio reminds her that she pushed him to his limits and suggests she show up in court, so they can decide the custody hearing like human beings. Roxana reluctantly and storms back inside the house as Fabiola loads Diego into Antonio’s car. Antonio thanks her but Fabiola tells him to thank Ramon, who found Diego, and Antonio thanks Ramon. Ramon tells him that it’s no trouble as he loves Diego too and Antonio thanks him for his help, despite everything. Antonio then bids them goodbye, and they wake goodbye to Diego, as he leaves.

Moments later, Fabiola asks Ramon how he will go back, and Ramon tells her that he will take a bus. Fabiola offers to give him a ride but Ramon jokes that she doesn’t drive well, and he would be scared with her driving. Fabiola gets close and tells him to drive then to which Ramon agrees. He then opens the passenger door for her and gets into the driver’s side.

Osvaldo looks at online job listings and calls one but is disappointed when they ask for a college degree. He wonders if he can move in with Emilia, but he rather not rock the boat, for now. He wonders what he will do for money and then smiles when he realizes what he can do.

On the drive back, Antonio asks Diego how things went with his mother and Diego confesses that Roxana left him alone most of the time and he was bored. He then asks Antonio where they are going, and Antonio tells him that they are going to his house and he should sleep on the drive back so he’s not too tired when they arrive. Margarita then calls him, and Antonio shares the good news before agreeing to meet at his house in an hour. Antonio then hangs up and receives a call from Dalia, who tells him that Fabiola found Diego. Antonio tells her the good news and explains how Ramon found Diego. Dalia is happy to hear it and then reports that things at the shop are good before hanging up.

In the car, Ramon explains that he came to drop off a car for a client and saw Diego. He then asks Fabiola if she’s hungry and Fabiola confesses that she is as she hasn’t eaten all day. She then suggests they eat before going back to the city and Ramon agrees. They both secretly smile as they look at the road.

Osvaldo arrives at the casino and exchanges some cash for chips as an older, but nonetheless beautiful, woman in red watches him. The attendant hands Osvaldo the chips and the woman looks after him.

As Ramon and Fabiola eat some quesadillas outside, they comment that the weather is fantastic. They smile at each other then but Fabiola frowns when she gets a call from Francisco, who tells her that they will close on the clinic tomorrow. Fabiola agrees and hangs up before Ramon asks if she wants anything else. Fabiola shakes her head and Ramon asks for the check before telling her that they should hurry up and get back to the city before nightfall. The waitress hands Ramon the bill and Fabiola offers to pay but he offers to treat her. Once alone, Fabiola thanks him and Ramon smiles before telling her it was his pleasure. They get in the car and drive off.

Sometime later, Fabiola and Ramon are back on the road and looking for the highway when the car suddenly stalls. Ramon stops the car but finds that they can’t turn it back on. He wonders when was the last time Fabiola put gas in the car and Fabiola confesses that it was about a week ago. Ramon laughs at her cluelessness and Fabiola thinks he is to blame too as he didn’t notice the gas was low. Ramon laughs it off and asks her to call her insurance and see if they have roadside assistance. Fabiola takes out the manual and goes to dial the number when her cell phone turns off because she forgot to charge it. Ramon continues to laugh at her, but she tells him to give her his cell phone, so she can call. She laughs because his phone has no signal and they go off to try to find one…
