Enamorandome de Ramon #90 & #91 12.14.17

Enamorandome de Ramon #90: Lover's Laments & Unsolicited Advice

Ramon asks Fabiola to tell him if she’s happy, but she can only cry. After a moment, she repeats that it is for everyone’s benefit and walks away. The nurse then calls Ramon to one of the rooms and he goes but can’t stop thinking about Fabiola.

Outside, Sofia calls Oton and chides him for hurting Ramon. Oton explains that he couldn’t allow Ramon to take off their masks, so they took care of it, but Sofia reveals that Ramon wants to go report the incident to the police. Oton tells her that the problem is now hers, but Rosendo won’t be happy to see things get so complicated and will make them pay. Sofia reminds them that it won’t be her who does and hangs up.

Luisa tells Jorge that she hopes things get better soon and Jorge, with his bags packed, thanks her and goes. Once alone, Luisa receives a text from Rulo’s phone that states Finito is not who he appears to be, and she can see it with her own two eyes at his sub shop that night. She wonders who sent it the text and calls the number back.

Rulo goes back to MedFer and finds Chava, who asks if Dalia told him to take a hike. Rulo smiles and explains that she melted like puddy when he gave her the necklace. He then receives a call from Luisa, who asks if he sent her a text, and they recognize each other’s voices. Rulo explains that it was probably Benito, who used his phone because his ran out of battery. He asks Luisa if she wanted to leave him a message, but she will talk to Benito later. They hang up and Luisa curses Benito for trying to make her doubt her fiancée.

Dalia puts on the necklace and looks at herself in the mirror. She smiles and tells herself that Rulo has very good taste as Valente walks in. He asks her to order some parts and then notices the necklace. He thinks Guero outdid himself with his gift, but Dalia confesses that it Rulo. Valente chides her for accepting such an extravagant gift, especially from Rulo, but Dalia explains that he was very nice, and she had to accept. Valente shrugs and tells her that it’s none of his business either way before leaving.

Ramon comes out of the examination room and finds Sofia. She chides him for not waiting for her, but Ramon explains that it wasn’t necessary. He then tells her that the doctor prescribed some pain medication, but nothing is broken. At that moment, Fabiola and Francisco come out of their exemption room with the gynecologist and Ramon hears as he congratulates them before leaving. Fabiola and Ramon lock eyes and Francisco takes the opportunity to hug Fabiola and reassure her that their baby is going to be okay. Fabiola looks at Ramon, who’s eyes fill with tears, as Francisco takes her away. Sofia laments that Ramon found out about Fabiola’s pregnancy this way, but he walks away without a word.

Outside the hospital, Fabiola chides Francisco for calling her child, their child, but Francisco prefers to make Ramon pay for all the things he has done to him. Fabiola reiterates that she hates him, but Francisco doesn’t care. She tries to leave but he grabs her and warns her that he will keep her close lest she run off with the father of her bastard. He then pushes her into the car and goes.

By Sofia’s car, Ramon tells her that she best leaves by herself, but she doesn’t want to leave him alone to lament the poor state of his relationship with Fabiola. Ramon prefers to be alone and gets bothered that she doesn’t understand that, but Sofia reminds him that men are after them and she may get kidnapped. Ramon assures her that she will be fine and walks off as Sofia calls his name, to no avail.

Andrea looks the sweater Juana nit over and tells her that it looks great band she should focus on neutral colors until they know if it’s a girl or a boy. Juana smiles and nods and Andrea laments that Francisco is the bay’s father, as she would prefer Ramon, and Juana does too but the baby will be like her grandchild, no matter what. Andrea smiles and then reminds Juana that they must be vigilant and make sure Francisco treats Fabiola and their baby well or else. Jorge then arrives, and Andrea tells him about the pregnancy. He comes to the same conclusion that Fabiola got back with Francisco because of the baby. He wants to go congratulate them, but Juana asks them to wait until the couple announces the pregnancy in person. Jorge then shows them the papers Julio gave him for the food franchise and they all agree to come to a decision together, should they move forward or not.

By a park, Ramon stops for a minute and cries because fate has managed to separate Fabiola and him forever. He curses the fact that the child is Francisco’s, and not his, but he affirms that he would love the child regardless because it would be Fabiola’s and he loves her.

At RamSo, Valente tells Benito about the necklace Rulo gave Dalia; he just can’t understand why Dalia would accept it. Benito shrugs but wonders from where Rulo got the money to buy something so expensive. Valente doesn’t care because now he sees that Dalia is very materialistic and that is not the woman for him. He storms off then as Benito continues to work.

In the sub shop, Finito wonders if he made the right decision in calling Adalgiza. He reiterates that he should’ve forgotten Adalgiza but can’t seem to when Fredesvinda walks in and sits down to ask him how her remedy is working. Finito thinks it’s not because he was fine until he saw the woman he loves with another man and that is on top of the fact that he drank an extra dosage to make sure the remedy was more potent. Fredesvinda tells him that his mistake was not taking one drop, as she instructed, and offers to fix the remedy, for free, and prove that it does work. She then asks for the container with the remedy and Finito hands it over. Fredesvinda then asks him to close his eyes and think of the two women who are driving him crazy as she rubs some of the remedy on her palms. As soon as she touches his temples, she convulses and has a vision that reveals he is in love with her niece, Adalgiza. Finito is floored.

Juana is looking over the food franchise documents and they think it’s great, but the investment would cost another $300,000 pesos. She decides to ask Andrea and Jorge their opinion as Margarita calls her. Juana asks her about Porfirio and wishes him a speedy recovery. Margarita thanks her and then confesses that she knows Fabiola is pregnant because Antonio told him. Juana can’t believe Diego couldn’t keep the secret but shrugs. Margarita then asks if Fabiola looked okay when she saw her, and Juana thinks she looked sad, even if she was happy to be pregnant. They both agree Fabiola shouldn’t get back with him because Francisco doesn’t make her happy. Margarita offers to talk things over with her and see if Fabiola has made the right decision. She then thanks Juana for the information and hangs up.

Fredesvinda demands to know who the other woman Finito is in love with is. Finito confesses that it’s his fiancée but doesn’t give her Luisa’s name. Fredesvinda can’t believe she helped him with her remedy when he’s a two-timer and finally realizes why Adalgiza wanted to return home to the US. She vows to find out who Finito’s fiancée is, so she can tell the woman what a lying cheat he is. Finito tries to stop her but Fredesvinda leaves in a huff.

At the casino, Julio gambles at the roulette and thinks that his $20,000 investment in the poison was a stroke of genius as he will have control of Andrea’s portion of the money soon enough. He drinks, sees that he has won, and smiles.

Margarita goes to see Antonio at the shop and he gives her a big kiss and hug before telling her that he missed her. She smiles but then gets serious and tells him that she spoke to Juana and she still thinks Fabiola will be very unhappy if she gets back with Francisco, even if she’s pregnant. Antonio shrugs and tells her that Fabiola is an adult and made her own decision even if that decision makes Margarita angry. Margarita then asks if he went to the bail bonds man and Antonio nods. Margarita thinks that, with some luck, Roxana will be out of jail tomorrow. Diego walks in then and couldn’t be happier to hear his mother is back tomorrow. He goes to get his things then and Antonio hopes Roxana has change and is willing to come to an agreement about Diego as well as what they will tell him. Margarita then gives him a kiss goodbye and Antonio sighs heavily, hoping for the best.

Jorge and Andrea look over the food franchise brochures and agree that the work will be hard but, together, they can achieve great things. They both agree that they won’t leave the main house in the garden because they have gotten used to the country side and want to stay. Jorge then kisses her and reassures her that everything will be okay, despite the poisoned crops, and Andrea nods. Jorge thinks the next step, before anything, is getting married but Andrea isn’t in a rush. She then kisses him, and Jorge decides to let the conversation drop, for now.

Rulo texts Dalia to ask if she liked the necklace and calls her princess, much to her annoyance, and he assures her that he will treat her like a princess, if she accepts his love. Dalia smiles, happy to see Rulo be so chivalrous, and he asks if she would like to go to dinner with him tonight at the taco restaurant. At this, Dalia sighs because she expected something grander, and asks him where he would take her to eat, ignoring his suggestion. Rulo smiles big, realizing that Dalia has fallen for his plan to shower her with gifts, and thinks about restaurants that should would enjoy. Chava then comes and asks him what he is doing and Rulo reveals that he is making plans with Dalia to eat at 8 that night. Chava then asks him who is selling the drugs tonight and Rulo asks him to take care of it, that way he can also make some money.

As Dalia smiles to herself, Sofia walks in and reveals that Fabiola is pregnant with Francisco’s child when they went to the hospital. Dalia smiles and thinks that Ramon and Fabiola are over for real and then asks Sofia why she was in the hospital. Sofia explains that two men tried to rob them, and they went to the hospital since Ramon got hit and that’s when they found out. She confesses that she is over the moon at the news though as that baby will insure she has no obstacles in her way. She then goes into her office and Dalia continues to smile.

Francisco and Fabiola arrive home and he orders her to get him a beer as he goes to the bathroom. She nods but grabs his cellphone as soon as she’s alone and goes through it. Francisco surprises her then and demands to know why she’s going through his phone because he knows it’s not out of jealousy. Fabiola confesses that she heard him talking to someone yesterday, and it seemed like it was in code, but Francisco explains that it was only Rebeca because he still is worried about Hortensia, even if he’s not her doctor. He then grabs his phone and calls Rebeca’s number. Rebeca answers and Francisco tells her to tell Fabiola that he only calls her to check up on Hortensia. Rebeca tells her it’s the truth and then Francisco thanks her before hanging up. Fabiola realizes that it was Rebeca’s voice on the phone yesterday but keeps quiet and goes to get a beer. Francisco grabs her arm and warns her to stop investigating anything and everything because he is the victim and she will go to jail if she makes him angry. Fabiola loosens his grip, gives him a death stare, and storms off to the kitchen.

Juana answers the door for Ramon, who looks destroyed, and asks Juana why she didn’t tell him about Fabiola’s pregnancy. Juana thinks it doesn’t change anything and begs him to let Fabiola go, especially if he loves her as much as he says he does. Ramon can’t because her eyes tell him that she’s not happy and that baby should’ve been his. He confesses that he thought she was going to tell him something but couldn’t. Juana asks him where he ran into Fabiola and Ramon explains that he was in the hospital because two men attacked Sofia at the mall and he defended her. Either way, he’s more hurt about Fabiola than the punches he received. Juana begs him to let Fabiola be because she hates to see him suffering but Ramon prefers that to being kept in the car. He asks her to tell him everything about Fabiola, as soon as she finds out, and Juana nods. He then kisses her goodbye and goes. Juana wonders how Ramon fell so in love with Fabiola.

Outside the apartment building, Ramon calls Sofia, who chides him for taking so long to call her back, and tells her that they must go report the attack with the detective in charge of their case. She agrees after a moment and asks him where she can pick him up. He suggests they meet at the station and hangs up. Sofia, who looks worried, assures herself that Ramon never saw the men’s faces so they are in the clear.

Porfirio is in bed at home when margarita walks in to check on him. He tells her that he’s had some dizziness but not nosebleeds so that is good. He then opens a wooden box he had on his lap and shows her a card she gave him years ago, which he saved. Margarita smiles when she sees it and asks him to show her more of the things he keeps in the box. He shows her the baseball from his first home run and a toy from the fair he went to with his father and Margarita calls him a sentimentalist but in a good way. She then sees a photo of him dressed as a girl, as his mother used to do, and smiles big.

Benito comes out of his house when Luisa surprises him and asks him to leave her be and he better not bother hiding the fact that he sent her a text from Rule’s phone because she knows. She then declares that she would never doubt a man as honest as Finito, but Benito can only look at her and beg her not to get married because he loves her. Luisa doesn’t believe him, as he likes to tell her beautiful things that he doesn’t back up with actions, but Benito wants to prove he’s a man of action and kisses her on the lips. Luisa doesn’t fight him, and they kiss passionately when Fredesvinda comes out and catches them. She calls Benito’s name three times before he lets Luisa go and demands to know what he is doing in front of her house. Luisa tells her it was nothing and storms off as Benito tries to follow. Fredesvinda gets in his way and orders him to forget Luisa because he deserves someone better. Benito demands she stop saying that and Fredesvinda tells him that his actions are going to kill her one day before pushing him inside the house.

Ramon tells the detective about what happened at the mall as he listens intently. Unfortunately, they didn’t see the men’s faces or get the plates of the car, but the detective will consider getting the security footage to see if they can obtain more information. Sofia tenses slightly and Ramon asks if it could be men associated with Rosendo. The detective is not sure, but they must investigate before they can tell them for certain. The detective then bids them goodbye and they go.

That night, Rulo, dressed in a suit and manbun, drinks some wine as Dalia smiles. She confesses that she never thought he would clean up so well, but he did. Rulo thinks she looks Baitul with the necklace and Dalia smiles before asking him why he has changed so much. Rulo explains that he came into some money from a grandmother that passed away and he wants to be with her and show her a good time. Dalia thinks that he is just playing with her but Rulo reminds her that he has always wanted to be with her though she reminds him that he came on too strong sometimes. He laughs slightly and goes in to kiss her, but Dalia turns her head and tells him to take it slow. He agrees as the waiter brings him his main course, escargot, but Rulo thinks it’s disgusting and demands he take it back. The waiter obliges as Dalia smiles.

Adalgiza arrives at the sub shop and Finito tells her that he’s happy to see she came. Adalgiza wants to know why he asked her to come and Finito explains that Fredesvinda told him she was leaving and…Adalgiza corrects him and explains that she was leaving but got together with Benito. Finito stops short and then goes to attend to a table for a moment as Adalgiza texts Benito. She asks him about Luisa and Benito reveals that their plan was thwarted, and Luisa won’t arrive. Adalgiza grown as Finito comes back and tells him that she must leave right now. He is sad to see her go but she bids him good night and sashays away as he looks at her receding curves.

At home, Luisa wishes she could hate Benito, but she can’t. Just then, Dalia walks in and Luisa asks her about her night. Dalia reveals that she went to dinner with Rulo, who seems to have changed for the better, and even gave her a gold necklace. She shows it to Luisa and tells her that she is going to give Rulo a chance. Luisa asks her about Guero, but Dalia explains that he has convinced her and would rather be with Rulo. Luisa doesn’t think it’s right to interchange men on a whim, especially just for a gift and a fancy dinner, but Dalia declares that she’s an adult and can make her own decisions. She storms off as Luisa tries to call her back. Luisa vows to leave her be then because Dalia will only become more obsessed with Rulo if she prevents the relationship.

Rulo walks back home, smiling, when Dario jumps out of the bushes and begs him for help because the police are after him. Rulo thought he was dead but Rulo offers to take him home so they can discuss what to do. Dario thanks him and they go.

Porfirio wakes up and calls out to Margarita, who is sleeping on the chair. She wakes up and he asks her to fall asleep in the bed next door. Margarita would prefer not to leave him alone, so he offers her a space in his bed. Margarita turns off the light and goes to cuddle next to Porfirio. He wishes every night of his life could be like this.

Ramon is sitting in bed, in the dark, sulking and thinking about what Francisco told him at the hospital.

Fabiola is tossing and turning as well, unable to fall asleep. She turns on her light and walks over to the dresser to pick up a book to read so she can fall asleep faster. She opens it and out falls Ramon’s letter, the one Francisco hid from her, and realizes it’s for her and from Ramon. She opens it and reads his beautiful words, tears forming in her eyes. In it, Ramon begs her to forget the past and give him a chance, so they can be together. She finishes reads it and realizes that she missed his meeting.

The next day, the police load Rosendo into the transport van and drive off.

Margarita wakes up in Porfirio’s bed and finds him gone. She goes to the dining room and sees the spread he laid out for her. He smiles wide and tells her that he owes her breakfast since they slept together and Margarita smiles but asks him not to say it like that. He repeats that they did indeed sleep together and then confesses that he dreamt of her and would like to tell her to sit so he can serve her breakfast. He pulls out her chair and Margarita smiles as she sits. Porfirio then declares that he is going to live day-by-day. Margarita thinks he is doing the right thing.

At Benito’s, Adalgiza and Benito discuss their failed plan. At the end of the day, they agree it was for the best as their interactions with Finito and Luisa proved they have not forgotten them. Benito does confess that Fredesvinda is still against their relationship, but he doesn’t care. Adalgiza nods and then they laugh about the fact that both Luisa and Finito are jealous, despite what they say.

Fabiola wakes up with Ramon’s letter in hand and wishes she could wake up with him every day. She curses herself for every doubting him and wishes she could run into his arms, but she can’t because Francisco has her in the palm of his hand. She wonders if jail would be better than the hell she is suffering with Francisco at her side. After a moment, she lays back down and sighs, wondering how she could leave Ramon for Francisco…

Enamorandome de Ramon #91: Jail Breaks & Broken Heads

Fabiola laments the fact that she chose Francisco over Ramon and now her life is hell. She doesn’t even have the strength to get from bed.

A guard tells Roxana that she is finally free, and she tells Dora that she couldn’t be happier. Dora warns her to behave lest she find herself back in prison, but Roxana tells her that, under no circumstances, will she go to jail again. She then hugs Dora fiercely and smiles.

At MedFer, Rulo tells Chava about Dario. He explains that Dario seemed paranoid and crazy and told him the police were after him. Rulo chose to hide him at his house but he needs to find a way to get rid of him, soon. Chava thinks he’s talking about murder but Rulo reminds him that there are limits to what he does. First things first, they must talk to Dario to talk to Dario and see what they can come up with.

Roxana talks to a prison representative, who explains that the fine only guarantees that she faces the trial process outside of the prison, but she must report to all summoning until the case is resolved. He then asks her to sign her release papers and Roxana thanks him before leaving.

Juana is taking care of Hortensia, since Rebeca had to leave, as Julio arrives. He thinks it’s great that she is more involved in the day-to-day care of Hortensia and tells her that he will let Rebeca go tonight. He then goes to visit Hortensia and Juana comes with.

Roxana goes outside the prison and breathes deeply. She then goes over to Antonio and Margarita but not happy to see them. Antonio tells her that they need to talk about Diego, quickly, but Roxana would prefer Margarita leaves. Antonio reminds her that Margarita got her out of jail, so she should be more thankful, but Roxana reminds him that Margarita helped him take away her son’s custody. Margarita prefers to leave though, and Antonio chides Roxana for her poor attitude, despite her time in jail. Once alone, Roxana tells Antonio that she would prefer to deal with Porfirio from now on, but Antonio reveals that Porfirio is sick and she would have to accept Margarita’s defend or get nothing. He storms off then as Roxana sighs.

Francisco meets Rebeca at a café and asks her why she asked him to come. Rebeca demands to know what role she plays in his life, as she thought he was going to get divorced, but he still lives with Fabiola. Francisco demands she lower her tone, but Rebeca warns him that they are accomplices and she knows plenty of things that can get him in trouble if he’s unkind. Francisco asks her not to threaten him and then his tone gets softer and he asks her to have some patient while things resolve themselves. Rebeca thinks she has been plenty patient and has done everything he has asked but she is still the secret lover. He reiterates that she must be patient, until he can get all the money Fabiola has, and gives her some money to buy something nice. Rebeca is shocked at the amount of money and Francisco tells her that it’s only a small part of what they will have in the future. He kisses her then and Rebeca kisses him back.

At a restaurant, Antonio tells Roxana that, because of the impeding trial, her visits with Diego will have to be by appointment. She chides him for taking advantage of the situation, but he warns her that, if she doesn’t follow the rules, she will return to jail. He then tells her that she should be humbler and less stubborn, and things will be easier. Roxana relents and asks Antonio what the rules are. The first thing is to never tell Diego she was in jail, but on a trip, and convince him that that they can no longer live together. Roxana nods.

Sometime later, Antonio and Roxana go to pick up Diego and the child gives her a big hug and tells him that she missed him. He then makes her promise to never leave again and she does. He then asks her where she went, and Roxana explains that she went to another state for work but is happy to be back.

The prison transfer van stops at makeshift roadblock and the driver goes to radio HQ to get a new route when the passenger officer points a gun at him and tells him to be quiet. The two officers in the back untie Rosendo as the driver goes off road and stops at a clearing where Lauro and some of Rosendo’s men await him. Rosendo hugs and thanks Lauro for his help and Lauro explains that he was able to grease some elbows and get him out. Lauro then asks if he’s ready to go north but Rosendo wants to go to Mexico City and hide out with Sofia, where no one would expect him to go. Despite Lauro’s reservations, he agrees and then Rosendo instructs him to offer the agents they paid off work or kill them if they disagree. Lauro nods and Rosendo leaves in a truck.

In his office, the detective and his partner look over the tapes of Sofia’s attack at the mall and find out that the attackers were waiting for Sofia and Ramon because they arrived half an hour before they were attacked. The detective thinks the next question they need answered is how did they know to wait for them at the mall.

At RamSo, Dalia and Ramon discuss ordering from a new supplier as their preferred supplier has not been fulfilling their overseers in time. Ramon asks her to find a new supplier and walks away as Guero then arrives and Dalia walks over to him. He was under the impression they were going to work together that morning, but Dalia tells him that she left early. Guero then notices the necklace and demands to know who gave it to her. Dalia tells him that it was Rulo but Guero doesn’t like that another man has given her a gift. Dalia thinks they should stop talking if he’s going to be this way and Guero chides her giving him hope only to cut him off for Rulo. He storms off and goes to find Rulo at MedFer.

Rulo is working on a car when Guero arrives and tells him that Dalia just broke up with him, but he will not let it stand. Rulo tells him that it’s not his fault Dalia dumped him because he’s not enough of a man for a woman like her. Guero punches him then and Rulo grabs a crowbar and goes to hit him when Lucho separates them. The whole shop goes to look at what is happening, and Osvaldo defends Rulo. He states that Guero started the fight and he won’t allow any fights at the shop, so he should grab his things and leave. Lucho reminds Osvaldo that Antonio must be present before he fires Guero but Osvaldo states that he’s in charge and it’s his shop. Lucho tries to defend Guero but Guero asks him to stop and goes to pack his things.

Ramon goes to find Sofia at her office and tells her about the new supplier when her phone rings. It’s the detective in charge of their case so Sofia puts on speaker phone, so Ramon can hear. The detective asks if anyone knew where they would be, but Sofia tells him that it was coincidence they were at the mall because they decided to go get food after going part shopping. Ramon explains that it took them about 20 minutes to go from the supplier to the food court and asks him why he’s asking. The detective prefers to investigate and get back to them. He bids them goodbye and Ramon wonders what the problem is. Sofia doesn’t know but she reminds him hat she is safe right now because of him.

The detective watches the video again but finds it strange that the kidnappers didn’t have guns and that they were relatively gentle with Sofia, at least, compared to how they were with Ramon. The partner thinks they were likely surprised by Ramon, but the detective shakes his head. Add all these inconsistencies to the fact that the kidnappers arrived half an hour before Ramon and Sofia and the kidnapping attempt seems staged. The partner wonders who set it up and the detective tells him that it is precisely what they must investigate.

In his office, Antonio chides Osvaldo for firing Guero, especially because it’s not his job or right. Osvaldo explains that things got out of control and Guero attacked Rulo, but Antonio tells him that all he had to do was break up the fight and let him sort things out. Antonio then asks Lucho to go and get Guero and he obliges as Osvaldo storms off, angry.

Moments later, Rulo tells Osvaldo that he doesn’t care if Antonio hires Guero again but he better not mess with him or he will have to deal with him. Osvaldo asks him to not to do at the shop and Rulo nods. He then tells Osvaldo that Lucho brought in a new car that they can get money out of, so he should make sure he gets the job. Osvaldo nods.

That night, Juana calls Julio to tell him that Rebeca is not back yet, and she must go make dinner for Pedro, who is visiting her that night. Julio demands to know why because he asked her to stop seeing him, but Juana reminds him that she never accepted his conditions and she will continue to be friends with Pedro. Julio doesn’t trust Pedro though because he likes Juana, but Juana asks him not to worry as her feelings for him haven’t wavered. She asks him to join her and Pedro for dinner, but Julio would prefer to avoid that embarrassing display. He then goes to call Rebeca, but Juana tells him that she just arrived and hangs up. Rebeca opens the door to Hortensia’s room with two bags in hand and Juana chides her for not telling her how long she was going to take. Rebeca apologies and explains that her cell phone ran out of battery, so she couldn’t tell her. Juana nods and then explains that Hortensia ate and fell asleep and she’s leaving now because she must make dinner.

Moments later, Pedro is about to knock at the apartment when Juana arrives and tells him that she’s sorry she’s late, but she had something to take care of. He asks her why she’s in a hurry and Juana explains that she must make dinner for them. Pedro offers to take her out to eat but Juana would prefer to make dinner that way they can talk while it cooks. Pedro smiles and nods and they go inside.

Sofia arrives home and finds Rosendo sitting in the dark having a drink. She is shocked to see him there, but Rosendo asks her for a big hug, much to her dismay. Sofia frowns and Rosendo wonders if she’s not happy to see him there. Sofia confesses that she was just surprised and asks him if he escaped and would like her to hide him. Rosendo shakes his head as he can take care of that himself and asks if the men he sent her have been helpful. Sofia nods and tells him that they scared Ramon good, so he will ask them to go back to HQ. Sofia nods and explains that Ramon has been more caring since the attack. Rosendo is happy to hear it and threatens to hurt Ramon if he doesn’t take good care of his daughter. Sofia smiles slightly but looks worried.

As Juana chops some tomatoes, she asks Pedro about his trip. He prefers to talk about her and asks her from where she was coming from. Juana explains that Hortensia’s nurse was out all day, so she had to take care of her. Pedro is shocked, and Juana explains that Hortensia had a stroke and has been a lot nicer though because she has some slight amnesia. Pedro jokes that she should stay that way, especially if she’s nicer, and Juana agrees. They then hear on the TV that Rosendo escaped from jail and Juana is shocked to learn Sofia’s father is out of jail. Pedro is shocked as well.

At a restaurant, Ramon and Valente also hear the news and Ramon worries that Rosendo may come after him. Valente wonders if he had anything to do with the kidnapping attempt because Sofia is still his daughter and he probably wants her at his side. He suggests he get as far as he can from Sofia because she’s caused him enough trouble. Ramon slightly nods as he receives a call from Juana, who asks him if he knows about Rosendo. Ramon tells her he does, and Juana begs him to be careful as she’s worried he will go after him again.

Rulo gives Chava some money to bring Dario food at his house because he ahs a date with Dalia. He orders Chava to let him out to eat and then lock him in his room again. Chava grabs the keys and goes off.

Over dinner, Rosendo complements Sofia’s cooking and she demands to know the real reason he’s in Mexico City. Rosendo reminds her that they are still family, despite everything, and he saw that she finally has the guts to be the head of the family business. Sofia would just prefer to be with Ramon, outside of the family business, but Rosendo begs her to accept and he will convince Ramon to join them as well. Sofia finally accepts but warns him to respect Ramon or else. Rosendo loves fierce she’s become, and they toast to their future.

Juana serves dinner but continues to worry that Rosendo will come after Ramon. Pedro reminds her that they never connected him to Ramon’s kidnapping, but Juana reminds him that Rosendo blames Ramon for everything that happened in Tijuana. Pedro doesn’t think Rosendo is worried about that as he just escaped jail, but Juana looks unconvinced. Pedro tries to change the conversation by asking her about Hortensia and Juana explains that she and Luisa are going to take care of her, for the time being, until Julio hires a companion. Juana admits that she also has nothing to do all day so taking care of Hortensia has been a welcomed distraction. She notes that the only time Hortensia ever gets mad now is when she mentions a Fanny. Juana asks Pedro about her and Pedro reveals that Hortensia’s husband, Raymundo, left her for Fanny and that is why Hortensia was so bitter. Pedro thinks it’s a blessing she doesn’t remember and Juana nods before offering Pedro some arroz con leche for dessert. He accepts it with a smile.

Sometime later, Sofia brings Rosendo a coffee and he asks her about her mechanic shop. Sofia explains that she wanted to invest the money her mother left, and Rosendo thinks it’s great as he has some cars that he can take to her. Just then, Ramon knocks on the door and Rosendo goes to hide as she opens. He asks if she saw the news, but Sofia pretends she doesn’t know. Ramon reveals that Rosendo escaped and, after some serious thought, he has decided to stop seeing her permanently because it’s dangerous as he never wanted them together. Tears begin to form in Sofia’s eyes and she begs him not to leave her, but Ramon is adamant that they must stop seeing each other. He tells her that he will go by RamSo tomorrow to pick up his things and leaves. Rosendo, having heard everything, comes out of the bedroom, and tells her that it seems Ramon doesn’t want her like she said he did. Sofia reiterates that Ramon does love her, but Rosendo prefers that they leave because he doesn’t like that his daughter is begging a man for his love. Sofia begs him to help Ramon be with her, but Rosendo thinks you can’t force things. In the end, he gives her two weeks to seduce Ramon or she will go with him up north and forget him all together. Sofia accepts and Rosendo leaves.

Chava brings Dario the food but finds Rule’s place empty. He starts to look around when Dario comes out of the corner and attacks Chava. Chava explains that Rulo sent and points to the bag of food but Dario thinks he’s one of the people who is after him and begins to choke Chava.

Rulo and Dalia go for a walk and Rulo confesses that he never knew what Dalia saw in Guero. He tells her that she needs a man like him, who can give her everything she wants. Dalia sits down on a bench and Rulo asks her to tell him what she wants, and he will do it. Dalia prefers he be more romantic and Rulo asks her if she would like some peotry or sweet kisses. Dalia wants both and Rulo recites the strangest poem he can find, much to Dalia’s dismay. Once he’s finished, she tells him that he’s changed but is not any more romantic. Rulo promises to learn and Dalia instructs him to ask her out, firstly, and then they will see. Rulo tries to kneel on the bench, awkwardly, but going to sit down next to Dalia. For once, he bears his soul to her and looks into her eyes before telling her there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her. She smiles, and he tells her that she has three options, he kisses her, she kisses him, or they kiss each other. Dalia laughs and plants a kiss on him, which Rulo takes full advantage of.

Finito is working at the grill at the sub shop when Luisa arrives. They greet each other and Luisa wonders if she should tell him what happened with Benito. She decides against it and asks Finite about their plans for their honeymoon. Finito would like to go to the beach and Luisa tells him that she will go wherever he decides before smiling. Just then, Finito grows serious and Luisa turns around to see Adalgiza and Benito sitting at a table and Teofilo taking their order. Benito wants to chicken breast sandwiches to go and Teofilo goes to get them as Luisa and Finito look on, annoyed and very jealous. Finito then states, loud enough for them to hear, that he is taking Luisa to many countries in Europe for their honeymoon. Luisa declares that she is lucky to have Finito is her life as he is sweet and overly romantic. Teofilo then hands Benito their sandwiches and he and Adalgiza leave as Finite and Luisa watch them leave. They both stare with their mouths agape and then notice each other and quickly recover.

Roxana and Antonio arrive at Roxana’s apartment building and Antonio tells Diego that he has to say goodbye to Roxana. Diego would prefer to stay with her, but Antonio explains that she can’t take care of him right now. Diego begins to cry and asks Roxana why she can’t take care of him. Roxana explains that things are difficult right now and he must go with Antonio, but Diego runs into her arms and begs her to take him with her.

Adalgiza and Benito arrive home, satisfied to see their plan is working, though Adagial confesses that she had to go beyond to pretend she liked him. Benito tells her that it shouldn’t be, because he’s a catch, and Adalgiza laughs before hugging him. Fredesvinda walks in then and sees them. She confesses that it warms her heart to see them so happy and Adalgiza smiles before going to her room. Once alone, Benito confesses to his mother that she was right and Adalgiza is the woman of his life. He tells her that he is going to ask Adalgiza to be his girlfriend and Fredesvinda smiles wide as he hugs her.

Rulo arrives home, notices the open door and curses Chava for being so aloof. He goes inside and finds Chava beat up and tied up in a chair. Dario is sitting on the bed with a bat in hand, which he raises as soon as Rulo walks in. Rulo sees them and asks Dario to calm down but Dario knows Chava was sent by the men looking for him. Rulo assures him that Chava is a friend and Dario apologizes for tying him up, but he couldn’t take any chances. Dario tries to untie Chava, but he shrinks away from him and Rulo pushes Dario back on the bed and goes to untie Chava.

Margarita arrives at Porfirio’s apartment and asks him how he feels. Porfirio feels good and then asks him how it went with Roxana. Margarita tells him that she was released today as Antonio calls her. She asks him how it went with Roxana and Antonio tells her that Roxana accepted his conditions, but Diego is having a hard time so she’s with him in his room until he child falls asleep. Margarita is quiet, and Antonio knows she is thinking that Diego is manipulating him but there’s nothing he can do right now. Margarita tells him that he knows best and then hangs up when Porfirio’s doctor arrives. Antonio hangs up too, but he doesn’t look at all happy.

In Diego’s room, Roxana reads him a bedtime story and then bids him goodbye, but Diego doesn’t want her to go. When Antonio walks into his room, he begs him to let Roxana stay and Antonio reluctantly agrees. Diego jumps up and down, happy, and hugs her as Antonio leaves them alone. Diego begs her for another bedtime story before bed and she obliges.

The doctor checks Porfirio’s vitals and finds that he is doing good. Porfirio points at Margarita and tells the doctor that she is his best medicine. The doctor smiles and then asks him when he prefers the next round of chemotherapy. Porfirio will do it first thing Monday, as he wants to have a good weekend, and the doctor agrees before leaving. Porfirio then notices Margarita’s frown and she confesses that she’s worried about Antonio’s situation. Porfirio nods and Margarita remembers when Porfirio told her that a divorced man is never free and confesses she’s having trouble adjusting to being with Antonio but also with Diego and, by extension, Roxana. Porfirio nods but prefers to change the topic to his treatment. He explains that they told him about a holistic healer and asks her to come with him to see what the healer proposes. Margarita agrees, and he warns her there is no internet where they are going. Margarita prefers a break from her life right now though and smiles.

Francisco arrives home to find Fabiola sitting on the couch. He greets her and tries to give her a kiss, but Fabiola turns her cheek. He sits down and asks her to prepare him a plate for dinner, but Fabiola declares that she made nothing. She then tries to leave but he grabs her and warns her that, if she isn’t a good wife, he will force her to be a good wife. She frees herself and tells him she won’t let herself be forced into anything before running to her room. Francisco warns her to be ready because he is on his way and smiles. Fabiola manages to get inside the room and lock the door. She tells herself that he won’t dare force her again, but she doesn’t look convinced.

Julio arrives at Hortensia’s and finds Rebeca. He tells her that he came to see her to tell her that they will no longer need her services, given how much Hortensia has improved, because they are going to take care of her as a family. Rebeca looks worried, and tries to convince Julio to let her stay, but he promises to pay her tomorrow and then she can go. He begs her a good night and leaves as Rebeca calls Francisco to tell him what happened. Francisco expected it though, but Rebeca is worried that Hortensia will talk. Francisco tells her that they must be confident that the cocktail they gave Hortensia worked and, if it doesn’t, they can say she’s lost it. He instructs Rebeca to administer a final dose and hangs up before thinking that he owns the goose that lays the golden eggs, no matter what Hortensia says now. After a few moments, he goes to the bedroom door and opens it with a key, much to Fabiola’s dismay. He puts the keys in his pocket and grabs Fabiola by the neck before declaring that she will be his, one way or the other. She begs him to let her go but he begins to kiss her neck anyway. Just then, Fabiola grabs a glass cup on the dresser and smashes it on his head. Francisco goes down, unconscious, as Fabiola looks on in horror…

AAA, thank you so much for this lengthy (definitely not a criticism) recap so full of vivid details we would have otherwise missed!

Don Pedro is back! Yay...one of the few likeable characters, but we didn’t get to see him! Ughhh!

I was pleasantly surprised with the cops tonight...finally cops with brains!

So Sofia agreed to take over her father’s business...wow! She’s plummeting into middle earth.

Dalia’s also on a downward spiral...turning into a little hussy...

More tomorrow...

Thank you Alfredo for this recap and for yesterday's recap. Been so swamped at work, I haven't had time to comment. This double episode thing is difficult and you did a splendid job.

What the heck is going on with Dalia? I thought she hated Rulo, after all Rulo has tried to assault her before right? There was that time it was nearly date rape before Ramon rescued her.

I just don't get this thing where Franc is threatening to send Fabi to prison for adultery. Even before they got the law off the books, it's probably been 100 years since they prosecuted on that charge. She's got to be smarter than that. But an abusive man knows how to get a woman under mind control by physically and mentally abusing her, filling her mind with fear.

I didn't get the point yesterday with Julio paying thugs to ruin the orchard fruit crops. What does he have to gain for that? He's so cheap (unless he's gambling) I'm surprised he paid that much to ruin the crop.

I think Sofia is going the "like father like daughter" route.

Would you sleep with me for a $Million dollars?
A Million?
Yeah, cash.
Sure, it might even be fun.
OK, great

Would you sleep with me for ten bucks?
Ten dollars? WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM?
We have already established what you are Dalia,
we just have to agree on a realistic price now.

Go Girl with the new brain. Smack him again, lower.

Laters Gators

Wow...just wow !!! Alfredo, thank you for another double header, another black and blue recap . I honestly do not know how you do it !

It is hard to feel sorry for Fabu because she is so dim and so weak-willed and has made so many dumb decisions that got her into this mess. I am looking forward to someone eventually grabbing Fraud the way that he keeps grabbing Fabu.

so...Dahlia now has three guys after her and plans to go with the highest bidder. Who knew it would just take a necklace to win that prize. Uff.

Thanks so much my hard-working Alfredo. I'm with Cynthia--glad that Pedro is back and a bit miffed that the End of Times editors hacked out his scene. Looks like Adalgiza's backside continues to play a starring role in this one. Fredesvinda is horrid but I love how they're fixing her up with egg beater hair and those dreadful dark ankle socks combined with house dress. I'm sure the wardrobe department is having fun with those nightmarish fashion choices.

And speaking of nightmarish fashion--Good Lord, I've been hoping to see Rulo cleaned up since the fella does have nice shoulders, but Holy Moly, "cleaned up" he looks even worse! What was up with that gelled,, cornrow hair and that powder blue leisure suit!!!??? I don't know how Dalia could even look at him, much less kiss him. Did enjoy the little "escargot" misunderstanding.

They're ramping up Francisco's evil and Fabiola's passive stupidity, but Cynthia has a point--sometimes women are temporarily disconnected from their rational brain when living with an abuser. Takes a while to wake up.

If we'd been taking a drink every time someone "stormed off" in this one, we'd all be certified drunks by now. Time to wrap this up before we all meet at an AA meeting. "Hi, my name is Judy and I've been led astray by telenovelas."

Still think Porfirio's going to die, but he will die happy with the loyal Margarita slumbering on his shoulder. Not a bad way to go for the lovesick lawyer.

Happy Friday everyone. Still bitter cold here but tomorrow the high might be up to 40 degrees. That's cause for celebration here in the frozen tundra of the Midwest.

Alfredo, as always,a thousand thanks and then some.

Alfredo: Good recap.

Thanks Mr. AAA, what a piece of work. I do not know how you do it, I believe aliens are helping you.
Well the coffee did it's little comforting Mount Vesuvius performance indicating that is has completed it's mission. Yum.

Rulo with the gel hair and Bum Bun. Uff ! Go for it Dalia, we already established your true colors. If you will sit on the kidnapping information, you will sit on anything.

I kept craning my head after Fabi WHACKED! Cyst on the head to try to see below the picture to see how badly her hand was cut. That glass thing exploded, (like sugar glass does) when she gave Cyst his wake up.... no gotosleep call, and I was sure she would need stitches.

Gosh I miss the good Sophia.

We finally have some Gringo (apparently) cops working on the case to figure out Sofia. The good one was a lot smarter.

Good Morning! It's cooold in the RGV...at 49 degrees...I know that's hot to some of you, but for one that is used to temps above 100, it feels quite cold :-)

JudyB and Kirby, ITA about Rulo's make-over YU_UCK. Can someone tell the costumers and hairstylists that a make-over is supposed to improve a person's look rather than make him more gruesome. Where's HotBun (DV), he needs to burn that sorry excuse of a bun...along with the clothes and person inside them!(Sigh...I miss HotBun)

#prayersfordianaandpeter

Kirby: You better hope the Gringo law enforcement authorities stop Sofia, whose scheming & plotting more chaos.

What's up with Psychopath Julio ?

Well, it is 28 ,here, folks , and that is not Canadian Celsius. However,it is predicted to go up to a toasty 26 and then tomorrow, a steamy 35. Winter isn't coming...it's here. I wear so many layers that I have trouble moving.

And now that he is sick , Marg is getting into bed with Poor POrf. Too little, too late.

Is Pedro back to help the parrot wake Juanna up to JUlio's evil plans? I still say those pigtails are too tight , and Juanna is not getting enough oxygen to the brain.

Fabu hit Fraud on the head. I wonder how that is going to work out for her when MR. Wonderful wakes up.

Some advice for Fabi: RUN, FABI, RUN!!!

I'm thinking Mr Wunderfart will be a scosh annoyed with his money cow wifey who is carrying his rival's child.

Did anyone read what I wrote yesterday about Rebecca turning on Cyst if she ever figures out the truth? Last night she appeared to be starting to doubt, or at least grow impatient with, his commitment to her. Now that Fabwhohasapeabrainandababyinher is onto Rebecca, could those two team up to bring him down?

#crossingmyfingers

Kirby, yes, I rememebr you did write that...looks like you're going to be spot on...good call! I do however, doubt that Fabi would team up with her...but ya never know!

Kirby, I didn't get to comment yesterday on the recap, but yes, I do believe that Rebeca will turn on Franc. I'm sure she is beginning to feel like an old shoe who is being thrown out because he keeps sidetracking her and doesn't keep his promises.

Yes, Kirby, you may have called it on Becky finally turning on Fraud. She seems to have a moral compass.

Yes Susy, although it appears the same people who made the compass in my cell phone may have made her compass too. Little Becky has stars in her eyes thinking she can Bunny Hop her way into being a rich Doctor's wife. It is going to hurt when she finds out how wrong she was, and she may not like it.

Alfredo thank you so much, I am stupefied as to how much they are cutting from these episodes. and IMHO some of the parts they are chopping off are important. They skipped the whole Rebecca and Frank interaction, important? I think so. Uni is annoying me, but at least we have your recap Alfredo. The whole Dalia and Rulo scenes were so disconnected on what UNI showed, I had no idea what was up, how he convinced her or how she even got his present. Again thank you Alfredo.

UNI is butchering this TN and I don't even know if I care at this point.

I've learned MY lesson. If they say "Romantic Comedy" stay away. I'm going back to the NARCO shoo'tem ups. When is season two of 'Three Faces Of Stella' supposed to start?

Real Stella the pole dancer, Chubby Cheeks, Ryan, DaniloIQ, Morganarrhea, and of course Paloma.

Thanks Alfred. Good recap. They have
Really written these characters dumb.
Fabi does not move fast enough for me.
I know they do stuff for effect, but it
Really bugs me how she just stands there and lets him pull and push her. And drape his arm around her. When is she gonna think about askin her Tia about the crime of the century and goin to prison for it?And these people
Don't think,or the writers don't write
Then smart.

Still don't like Roxy. The woman is just Insufferable. And I'm kinda gettin tired of diego's treatment of
Mags. That kids kind a nasty with that
additude. He got that from His momma.
I guess after Christmas theyll go chop chop again with this show.

Im always late with my comment. After
Ive seen the next episode. I'll stop here.

Thanks Alfredo
