Enamorandome de Ramon #98 & #99 12.20.17

Enamorandome de Ramon #98: Lying Spouses & Drugged Cousins

Francisco declares that Ramon, his wife’s lover, attacked him and threatened to kill him. He explains that he was at home when someone knocked on the door. When he went to open it, Ramon attacked him and threatened to kill him unless he removed the adultery charge against Fabiola. He wrestled Ramon to the ground and went to go get a gun in his bedroom, to fire a warning shot, but Ramon attacked him again and hit him various times in the head. Throughout his statement, Francisco remembers the truth: Dario beat him to a pulp.

Luisa gives Ramon the sandwiches Finito brought him as well as a soda. He thanks her and then a police officer comes and tells him that the police need him to say his statement again because the victim, Francisco, has declared that he beat him up. Ramon is confused and shocked as the officer leaves and he asks Luisa to tell Juana what just happened and how complicated his case has become. Luisa obliges as Ramon wonders what will happen now.

In her cell, Fabiola talks with her cell mate about reading and how much it’s helped her deal with her current predicament. She offers to take Fabiola to the library, so she can pick out a book as the HBIC, Reyna, comes and demands Fabiola pay her dues. Fabiola doesn’t have any money, as no one has visited her, and Reyna gets close to ask if she plays on paying with “other favors.” Fabiola cell mate demands Reyna leave them be and pays Fabiola’s dues for her. Reyna asks if Fabiola slept with her for protection but can’t say anymore as a guard comes and she leaves with her friends. Once alone, her cell mate tells Fabiola that she has to call her aunt, and lawyer, so they can come and give her the things she needs to survive in prison. Fabiola nods and goes to call her.

At Juana’s, Andrea and Jorge tell Juana that they are beyond frustrated as Margarita hasn’t told them when they can visit Fabiola or how they can help get her out of jail. Juana asks them to be calm and have faith as Luisa calls to tell her the bad news: Francisco told the police that Ramon beat him up. Juana is shocked and tells Luísa that Francisco is only beating spiteful and trying to ruin Ramon, and Luisa agrees, but there is little she can do.

In his office, Pedro tells Margarita that they need to find witnesses who will cooperate the violence Fabiola suffered at the hands of Francisco. She tells him that they have Andrea and Jorge to start, as they ground Fabiola locked up in Francisco’s apartment, when Fabiola calls to ask for some things she needs for protection in jail. Margarita takes down a list of things and asks her how she’s doing. Fabiola tells her that her cellmate is nice before asking about Ramon. Margarita is hoping for the best, but they must wait until Francisco gives his statement. Fabiola hopes for the best too and then hangs up as there is a line to use the phone. Margarita then receives a call from Juana, who tells her the bad news about Francisco, and Margarita offers to go to the station with Pedro immediately. Pedro concurs that Francisco is trying to ruin Ramon before they leave.

Sofia arrives at a mall and stops by a kiosk. She takes out a mirror from her purse and sees that a man is still following her. She waves her way through the stores to see if she can lose the man. After a few moments, the man reports to his supervisor that Sofia went shopping and he has a visual on her.

That night, the detectives in charge of the kidnapping case (Supervisor Cuellar and his assistant Ramos) discuss the latest hideout they think Rosendo may be hiding in. Ramos goes to investigate as the man who was following Sofia, Mejia, walks in and explains that Sofia was shopping all afternoon and then went home. Cuellar asks if anyone approached her, but Mejia shakes his head. Either way, Cuellar thinks the kidnapping attempt was a fake and they must figure out why she did it.

Ramon speaks with the lead detective on Francisco’s case with Margarita and Pedro present. The detective is suspicious that Ramon was there at the exact moment the police came but Ramon explains that he only went to talk to Francisco and beg him to remove his adultery charge against Fabiola. The detective tries to pressure Ramon into confessing, but Ramon reiterates that Francisco is lying and he didn’t beat him up. Pedro tells the detective that he is pressuring his client and he wants to extend discovery, so they can gather more proof in favor of Ramon. The detective turns off the tape recorder and instructs the police officer to take Ramon back to his cell as the interview has concluded. Pedro reassures Ramon that they will get him out soon as they take him away.

Margarita and Pedro meet with Juana, Jorge, and Andrea to tell him that they are extending discovery to prove Francisco is lying though Ramon will have to stay in jail. Jorge wishes he could punch Francisco’s lights out, but Juana reiterates that it won’t solve anything. Margarita then tells them that she spoke with Fabiola, who’s doing well, but there is nothing new to report on her case. Juana can’t believe both Ramon and Fabiola are in jail, but they assure her everything will be okay soon. Margarita and Pedro then leave as Juana receives a text from Julio, who informs her that he didn’t answer her text earlier because he was in a meeting. Juana shakes her head and tells Andrea and Jorge that Julio is never there when she needs him. They both shrug as Julio has always been that way and Juana goes to visit Ramon.

Julio is, obviously, boozing and winning at the casino roulette table. He wins again and kisses a blond next to him, much to her discomfort.

Juana goes to visit Ramon, who can’t believe Francisco lied to the police and chides Ramon for even going to visit him in the first place. Ramon argues that he had to help Fabiola, however he could, and then asks Juana why all this is happening because the only thing he and Fabiola have done has been love themselves. Juana shrug because she doesn’t know what to answer.

Sofia is having dinner when Rosendo calls and asks about the police officer who was following her. She explains that she went shipping to throw him off her scent and Rosendo chides her for the fake kidnapping attempt, which has caused things to spiral out of control. He proposes she leave Ramon and go with him, but Sofia reminds him they have a deal and Rosendo relents. He does ask her to shake the tail though because he needs to see her, and Sofia agrees before handing up as she also needs to ask Rosendo for a favor.

The next day, Julio goes to visit Juana to apologize for not being with her last night, but she also didn’t answer his message. She is quiet, and he asks her to tell him what happened last night. Juana tells him about Francisco’s statement and Julio assures her that the truth will be revealed soon enough so they must be strong. He then asks her to make him breakfast, much to her quiet annoyance, and they go to the kitchen.

Sofia looks out the window of her apartment and sees that the police car is waiting for her outside. She wonders what she can do to shake them and goes downstairs to the parking garage. She sees an elderly neighbor and introduces herself before asking him if he can drop her off somewhere as her car won’t start. He tells her to hop in and they go as Sofia blesses her luck. Outside her building, Sofia leaves with the neighbor and none of the police officers notice.

Margarita goes to visit Fabiola in jail and gives her a big hug. Fabiola, with red eyes, tells her that she has barely been able to sleep and Margarita hands her the bag with the things she requested. Fabiola thanks her before Margarita tells her about Francisco’s statement. Fabiola rues the day she ever met Francisco and demands to know what the police are doing as Ramon is innocent. Margarita tells her about her plan to find prove against Francisco but Fabiola, dejected, can’t believe she was so blind to trust Francisco. Margarita gives her a hug and asks her to not be so hard on herself.

At MedFer, Antonio is working on the computer when Osvaldo walks in to ask about some invoices. He then asks about Antonio about Fabiola and Antonio reveals that she has been sent to prison. Osvaldo laments this and Antonio then tells him about Francisco’s statement. Though Antonio is sure that Ramon is innocent, Osvaldo is not so sure, but Antonio argues that Ramon doesn’t lie while Francisco does, and you can’t expect anything from him. Osvaldo shrugs this off and then leaves to fix the invoices.

Osvaldo then goes to see Rulo to inform him they have another drug trade off that night. Rulo nods and then asks about Fabiola and Ramon. Osvaldo informs him of what Antonio just told him and Rulo laughs. He tells Osvaldo that both got what they deserved for cheating and trying to steal another’s man wife.

In his hospital room, Francisco calls his lawyer to instruct him to make sure Fabiola and Ramon both go to jail for a long time. The lawyer asks if Ramon did beat him up and Francisco tells him he didn’t, but he used a mugging to his advantage. His lawyer smiles and tells him that they can argue Fabiola asked Ramon to kill him and make sure both go down. Francisco kicks himself for not thinking of it first but is happy to hear the good news.

In another hospital room, Porfirio gets dressed, with Margarita’s help, as the doctor tells him that he looks better after his second round of chemotherapy. Porfirio explains that he feels dizzy but it’s not as bad as the first time. The doctor then asks if he needs a permanent nurse, but Porfirio tells him that Margarita and his cleaning lady are enough. He then asks the doctor if he can leave because he will feel less sick at home.

Cuellar goes to see Ramon in jail and chides him for adding another problem to his ever-growing list. He then asks if he has spoken with Sofia, but Ramon hasn’t seen he found out she spoke with Rosendo. Cuellar confesses that he already knew that though and confesses his suspicions about the fake kidnapping attempt, namely, the fact that someone told the kidnappers where they were and were waiting. Ramon is shocked, and Cuellar reveals that he thinks the first kidnapping attempt was also staged.

Rosendo calls Lauro and asks him about his escape plans. Lauro explains that they have a plane ready for him at a clandestine airstrip in Valle de Bravo and only needs his say so to go ahead with the plan. Rosendo instructs him to be ready as he may show up unexpectedly. When he hands up, one of his men tells him that Sofia is there and Rosendo asks him to bring her through but not to move from the for as Sofia is tougher than she looks. He brings Sofia in and Rosendo smiles when he sees his daughter was smart enough to evade the police. He then tells her that he is tired of waiting for her to win Ramon back and reveals they are leaving through Valle de Bravo ASAP.

Ramon explains that he always suspected Rosendo had something to do with the kidnapping, but he never thought Sofia would stage a kidnapping. They both agree that everything fits though, and Ramon realizes Sofia was almost kidnapped after visiting her father. Cuellar tells him that Rosendo has always been in the background, no matter what they thought, but Ramon can’t understand why he will help Sofia when he wanted him dead. Cuellar explains that Sofia is Rosendo’s daughter and he would do anything to see her happy, including bring him to her. Ramon nods and Cuellar then asks Ramon to tell him why he’s in jail. Ramon obliges though he makes it clear it has nothing to do with Sofia.

Sofia screams that he promised to wait for her, but Rosendo is tired of waiting, especially because the police are following her, and reveals that she is leaving with him, one way or another. Sofia tries to leave but finds the doorway blocked but her father’s men. She closes the door, tells Rosendo that she hates him and curses the day he escaped jail. Rosendo shrugs and tells her that she will thank him one day.

Margarita takes Porfirio home and asks if he needs anything else because she must go back to the office to work on Fabiola’s and Ramon’s cases. Porfirio promises to be in the office in a couple of days, but Margarita asks him to take his time as his health is first. Porfirio asks her to tell him if she needs help though and he will be happy to do it from his apartment. Margarita then receives a call from Pedro, who tells her that there is a video from the front entrance of Francisco’s building. She smiles wide at the good news.

Francisco is writhing around in pain when the nurse walks in and tells him that she will be administer some pain medication. Francisco asks for the name of it but tells her that it’s not strong enough for the level of pain he’s in. She tells him that those are the doctor’s orders though, much to his annoyance. His phone rings then and the nurse hands it to him. It’s Rebeca but Francisco rejected the call immediately.

Fabiola shows her cellmate what she got and asks her to take the box of cigarettes as she doesn’t smoke. The cellmate only needs one box and warns her to hide the rest and everything she got before Reyna arrives. Fabiola doesn’t hide it in time and Reyna takes the whole bag before telling Fabiola that she will ask her for some more things since she can get supplies quick. Her cellmate gets between them and warns Reyna to keep away from Fabiola because she has people on the outside who will defend her. Reyna smiles wide and leaves with her posse after a brief goodbye. Fabiola chides her cellmate for telling Reyna that, but the cellmate argues that she only said it to keep Reyna away, but she needs to toughen up or else. Fabiola nods.

Hortensia is tidying up her room when Dr. Paez calls her to see how she is. Hortensia confesses that she’s very anxious because she keeps having visions of a hand injecting her. Dr. Paez thinks it was from the times Rebeca was injecting her and instructs her to take the pills he prescribed so she can calm down. Hortensia asks if she can take two, as one has no effect, but Paez tells her no as it may confuse her more. He asks her to take a walk or do other things to distract herself instead of drinking more pills. Hortensia thanks him and hangs up but she continues to see Rebeca injecting her wherever she turns. She then grabs the pills on her nightstand and takes one with lemonade. She looks at the bottle and takes another, despite Paez’s recommendation.

Margarita and Pedro go to the police station and they look at the video outside of Francisco’s building together. They discuss the time Francisco went inside the building vs. when Ramon got to the building and then the police. They all agree that Ramon arrived at the building after the police was called and Ramon is innocent. Pedro demands Ramon is freed, if this is the case, even if they continue to investigate who attacked Francisco. The police agree and then Pedro calls Juana to tell her the good news. She thanks them and goes to see Ramon to tell him.

Cuellar and Ramos meet in his office to discuss the kidnapping case. He explains that Ramon also believes Sofia was behind both kidnappings and the crimes were more crimes of passion than revenge or retribution.

Jorge drops Andrea at Juana’s and Andrea confesses that can’t stop thinking about Fabiola’s and Ramon’s situation. Jorge begs her to have faith, but Andrea can’t understand how everything went so wrong when all they did was love each other. She confesses that she will lose all faith if the cases don’t get resolved soon. She leaves but Jorge can’t help but feel hopeless.

Juana runs to Ramon’s cell and tells him the good news: he is free to go because the cameras outside the building proved his innocence. He smiles big, happy to hear his case has been resolved. Juana smiles too but then Ramon reminds her that they need to get Fabiola out of jail. Juana tells him that Margarita and Pedro are working on it and then goes as she only had a moment to see him.

Andrea goes to the elevator and runs into Hortensia, who tells her that they need to talk. Andrea doesn’t want to though because she had enough of her insults. Hortensia can barely stand then, as the pills she took were too strong, and she begs Andrea to take her come. Andrea helps her back into the elevator and they go off.

Jorge arrives at the chemical lab and talks to the receptionist about the poison some men threw on their crops. The man asks when he would like the samples to be taken and Jorge is free any day. The man goes to check with the engineer to see if it can be today. Jorge thanks him and he goes.

Rebeca talks with her supervisor, who gives her back job as a nurse, and she then runs into the nurse taking care of Francisco, who reveals that he was mugged and badly beaten. Rebeca is shocked and asks the nurse for his room. The nurse tells her, and she runs off.

At Hortensia’s, Andrea asks if she feels better and Hortensia does so Andrea is going to leave. Hortensia stops her because they need to talk about her relationship with Jorge. She suggests they both go to a doctor but Andrea screams that they love each other and there is nothing wrong with it. Hortensia reiterates that she and Jorge are cousins and they will be signaled out for their relationship, but Andrea could care less what she thinks. Hortensia begs her not to say that, as it breaks her heart, and then gets up to go get her pills. She asks Andrea to wait for a moment and then goes to her bedroom where she dissolves two pills in one of the cups and pours some lemonade. She shakes it well and goes back to the living room.

Rebeca goes to see Francisco, who reveals that he wasn’t mugged but his wife’s lover did beat him up because he accused Fabiola of adultery. He is happy to see that both are going to be in jail and are going to pay for what they did, but Rebeca is worried that they won’t get the money now. Francisco assures her that he has a plan in place and she factors into it though Rebeca reminds him that he’s only used her lately. Francisco asks her to give him a kiss and she obliges. He then asks her if she has any doubts, but Rebeca smiles and shakes her head.

Pedro and Margarita agree that they will countersuit Francisco for false testimony and defamation. Margarita calls their office to begin the process immediately.

Hortensia brings Andrea the lemonade and she drinks down completely. Hortensia then tells her that she is older and knows what’s best and that is why she needs to end her relationship with Jorge. Andrea will defend her relationship though Hortensia can’t conceive how their children would look, if they have any. Andrea tries to say something else but she’s suddenly. She asks Hortensia why her vision is blurry but Hortensia shrugs as she has no idea what the problem could be.

Jorge calls Juana to ask for Andrea but Juana tells him that she hasn’t seen her because she’s been at the station since Ramon is free of all charges. Jorge smiles and congratulates her as Juana asks him to call the house and see if she answers. Jorge did but Andrea didn’t answer so they agree she must’ve fallen asleep.

Hortensia leads Andrea to her guest room as Andrea begs her to let her call Juana or Jorge, but Hortensia doesn’t want her near any of them. She then demands Andrea go to sleep and locks her in the room as Andrea passes out on the bed.

Ramon gets out of prison and sees Juana. They hug each other tight, happy to see him free of all charges...

Enamorandome de Ramon #99: Deranged Grandmothers & Jealous Lovers

Ramon gets out of jail and hugs his mother tight. He then thanks Pedro and Margarita for their help and tells them he is in their debt. They smile and explain that they have countersued Francisco to make sure his own crimes are exposed and that way they can force him, through leverage, to remove his charge against Fabiola. Ramon smiles and then tells them that he’s ready to go.

Jorge knocks on Juana’s door incessantly, but no one opens. He wonders where Andrea could be before leaving.

Francisco’s lawyer goes to visit him in the hospital room to tell him that Ramon is free because the video cameras outside his building. Francisco thought they didn’t work but they do and now Ramon’s lawyers have sued him for defamation. He warns Francisco that he will be in serious problems if it’s proven he lied on his testimony. Francisco asks him for suggestions, but the lawyer must think things over and see.

Antonio and Diego are playing a game when Jorge knocks on the door and greets them. He asks if they know where Andrea is because he dropped her off in the afternoon to see Juana, but she hasn’t answered her phone and isn’t with Juana or him. Antonio thinks she may have left with a friend, but Jorge isn’t sure. Diego then asks if he wants to stay and play but Jorge can’t and goes. Diego then asks Antonio if he’s mad at Antonio, as their exchange was brief and distant, and Antonio nods but it’s nothing he needs to worry about. He then tells Diego that they should continue playing and the kid nods.

As men patrol the house, Sofia goes to one of them to talk. She leads him into one of the rooms, so they can talk in private, and then asks him for a favor: get rid of someone who has ruined her life. The man tells her to tell Rosendo, so he can give the order, but Sofia needs this to be between him and her. The man is scared though because Jacinto already died for lying about killing Ramon, but Sofia entices him by telling him that she can be very generous if he helps her. She then gets closer to him and lightly touches his lips with her fingers as she tells him that her father never needs to find out. The man considers this.

Luisa, Dalia, and Valente prepare dinner for Ramon at their house. Dalia wonders how they proved Ramon’s innocence, but Luisa reminds her that he is out of jail and that is what matters. Ramon arrives then with Pedro and Juana and they all thank their lucky stars that Ramon is free. Luisa invites them all to dinner, but Pedro thinks it’s a family dinner and he should go, though everyone insists, and Pedro sits down.

Andrea, awake but drowsy, begins to write a letter to Jorge that Hortensia tells her to write. It begins by saying that the tragedies that have been fallen their families are because of…

Outside the building, Jorge asks the doorman, Navor, if he has seen Andrea but Navor hasn’t though he was only away for a moment when he went to go check the water pressure in one of the apartments. Jorge continues to worry though because Andrea is still nowhere to be found. He goes back up to his apartment to see if she’s there.

Over dinner, Pedro compliments Luisa on the place of spaghetti. He confesses that he loves cooking as well as does Juana and Ramon. Pedro tells them that French onion soup is his favorite and he loves cooking French cuisine. He offers to prepare a plate for them some other day as the doorbell rings. It’s Julio, who is happy to see Ramon, and then tells Juana that the truth will always come out, no matter what. Juana nods and gives him a kiss on the cheek before going to sit next to Pedro and thanking him for his help. Luisa thinks he is an angel and Juana thanks him for always being there to help though Pedro tells them that he is only a lawyer. He does tell Juana that he will always be there for her, much to Julio’s discomfort, and then leaves for the night. Julio takes Pedro’s spot at the table, but everyone looks uncomfortable as they wait for Juana to come back to the table.

Margarita goes to visit Porfirio, who is feeling better, to tell him that Ramon is free because of the security camera footage. Porfirio smiles at their good luck and Margarita explains that Francisco lied for two reasons: 1) he wanted to hurt Ramon or 2) he is hiding something bigger. Porfirio nods and Margarita tells him that they countersued Francisco either way and will find out the truth. She then offers to stay the night, but Porfirio prefers she sleep at home tonight since she’s tired. She thanks him, and Leaves as Porfirio tells himself that he knows she’s not going home tonight.

Jorge arrives at the apartment but finds no one there. He then calls Juana to ask if she’s heard from Andrea but no luck. She asks him to wait for her at the apartment because she’s on her way. She hangs up and tells everyone before leaving with Julio. Once alone, Luisa laments how many tragedies have befallen the Medinas, but Dalia is not surprised as everything has happened to them. Luisa gives her a look, as does Ramon, but Dalia could care less.

Jorge calls Esteban to ask about Andrea but he hasn’t seen her. He then wonders if Andrea is with Hortensia and goes to visit her, just in case.

Andrea is delirious on the bed as Hortensia chides her for being with Jorge and living in sin with him. She thinks Ricardo would never allow it, but Andrea is groaning and moaning. Jorge then knocks on the door and asks if she’s seen Andrea. Hortensia tells him she has no idea but since she left with him, she probably has lost all her morals. Either way, they should be ashamed of their actions. Jorge laments the fact that she is a witch instead of the loving grandmother they hoped she would be. Hortensia warns him to be careful with his words, but Jorge chides her for being bad to all her grandchildren and not even caring that Fabiola is in jail. Hortensia is shocked, and Jorge explains that Francisco charged her with adultery, but he’s done talking to her because she doesn’t care. As he storms off, Hortensia calls Julio to get the details on Fabiola’s case.

Julio is on his way to the building when Hortensia calls him to know why no one told her about Fabiola. Julio explains that they didn’t want to worry her, but Hortensia tells him it would be the first time they don’t want to worry her. Julio then tells her about Andrea, but Hortensia already knows because Jorge came to see her. She then asks if Margarita is helping Fabiola and Julio tells her she is before asking if she needs anything else. Hortensia doesn’t, and he hangs up.

Post coitus, the man tells Sofia that she can ask for anything and he will please her however he can. She smiles and tells him that she needs to get rid of Fabiola Medina, who is currently in jail. The man tells her that Fabiola leaves the prison feet first and then Sofia kisses him before he leaves. Once alone, Sofia curses the man, but he will die like Jacinto once he takes care of Fabiola.

Outside the study, the man calls one of his contacts, who tells him that he knows an ex-lover in prison, Reyna, who can kill Fabiola Medina for him.

At Luisa’s, Ramon calls his employer and tells him all that happened the last few days before assuring him that he will be there early tomorrow. The employer already hired someone else, as he thought Ramon left, and Ramon, dejected, thanks him for everything before hanging up. Ramon then wonders what he will do and asks Valente if there is an opening at his job. Valente isn’t sure, but he will ask because Ramon needs a job to take care of Fabiola and their child. Luisa and Valente smile at the thought.

Antonio opens the door for Margarita and gives her a big hug. She tells him the good news about Ramon but doesn’t want to talk about work right; she even turned off her phone. He smiles, and they agree to make dinner and open a bottle of wine when Julio calls Antonio to reach Margarita. Antonio hands the phone over and Julio tells her about Andrea. Margarita decides to go over immediately, and Antonio goes with her.

Hortensia reads over Andrea’s letter and nods, content. She then wakes Andrea up to give her another pill, which Andrea takes without question. Hortensia then grabs the letter and tells herself that Andrea won’t wake up till tomorrow, much to her satisfaction.

Everyone gathers at Juana’s apartment and Jorge suggests they call the police, but Margarita prefers they call a service that registers everyone who has gone to the hospital or the police station. She begins to dial as everyone holds their breath.

The next day, everyone hasn’t slept, and Juana makes them a coffee as the doorbell rings. Jorge goes to answer but it’s Navor with the mail. Jorge takes it and thanks him before giving Juana the mail. She opens it and is shocked to read Andrea’s letter. Jorge sees her face and goes over to read it too. Jorge reads as Andrea tells him to never look for her again because their relationship has brought destruction and bad luck on their gamily. Julio and Margarita recognize Andrea’s handwriting but are shocked to read the words.

The contact meets with Reyna at the prison and asks her if she knows a Fabiola Medina. Reyna nods as Fabiola herself walks in and goes to sit at a nearby table. Reyna tells the contact that it’s Fabiola as Ramon walks in and gives Fabiola a big hug. She gives him a kiss as Reyna and the man look on. Fabiola can’t believe Ramon is out but is happy to see him. They smile and hug again before sitting down. Ramon then explains how they proved his innocence and thanks Fabiola for never doubting him. He asks how she and their baby feel and Fabiola begins to cry before telling him that she’s surviving, day-to-day. He puts his hand on her womb and promises to have her out of jail in no time. Reyna tells the contact that she will kill Fabiola, especially if that will give him the money to get her out of jail.

Jorge can’t believe Andrea ever wrote those words, but Margarita asks if Andrea ever had doubts. Jorge admits she did, but she would never leave him in the lurch like this. Juana thinks Fabiola’s situation was too much for Andrea and then asks Julio if he won’t say anything. Julio thinks there is nothing to say and then offers to take Jorge back into their home. Jorge refuses but they ask him to consider though Jorge can’t leave their vegetable garden. Juana assures him that Esteban will take care of it as Julio bids them goodbye and urges Jorge to move back in with him.

Fabiola hopes that Francisco will leave them alone if they remove the counter sue against him and Ramon hopes so too. She then wonders why this has happened but Ramon asks her not to worry as they will move on from this. He then assures her that, since Francisco lied, it will make him look worse in the eyes of the law. Fabiola nods but she tenses up when she sees Reyna looking at
her. She tells Ramon what is happening, and Ramon suggests she tell the guards, but Fabiola thinks it won’t help before pointing the woman out. Ramon looks back at her as Reyna wonders if they suspect anything. The contact doubts it and she tells him that she will let him know when the job is done. He leaves, and she does too as Fabiola finally relaxes. He then smiles and tells her that he will find out about conjugal visits. At this, Fabiola smiles.

Cuellar berates his officers for losing track of Sofia and demands to know what happened. They explain that her car is in the spot and she never left but Cuellar demands they find something, soon, before telling them to leave his office.

The detective in charge of Francisco’s case visits him with his lawyer present to tell him that they know he lied and suggests he do a polygraph if he is so confused about what happened. Francisco’s lawyer demands the detective stop harassing his client, as Ramon could’ve hired someone to beat him up, and then asks him to leave. The detective thinks it’s a good hypothesis and he will investigate every angle. He then leaves and the lawyer chides Francisco for being so stupid though Francisco is confident in the lawyer’s ability to get him off completely. His lawyer is not too happy and warns Francisco that he will leave his case if he gets another unwelcomed surprise. He then asks Francisco if he knows the guy who beat him because, if they catch him, they could be in trouble, but Francisco shakes his head.

Ramon leaves the prison and calls Juana to tell her that Fabiola is doing okay, given her situation, and Juana wonders when the nightmare will end. Ramon then asks about Andrea and Juana tells him about the letter and asks if he told Fabiola. Ramon didn’t because she doesn’t need another problem. Juana agrees and then Ramon hangs up as he is getting a call from Cuellar. Cuellar is happy to see he’s out, but he asks Ramon to come to his office as they need to talk about Sofia. Ramon reluctantly agrees.

Francisco’s lawyer suggests he negotiate with Ramon’s and Fabiola’s lawyer, as that will be better than a drawn-out battle, especially if he’s going to lose, but Francisco refuses to give up and let them be happy after what they did to him. Rebeca walks in then and gives him a kiss on the cheek to welcome him. Francisco looks at his lawyer, who introduces himself as Carlos, and Rebeca introduces herself before leaving. Once alone, Carlos demands to know who Rebeca is and Francisco explains that he needed a warm body at night because his wife was frigid. Carlos warns him to get rid of Rebeca or else and Francisco asks him for help because Rebeca won’t leave him be. Carlos promises to take care of it.

Antonio calls Juana to ask about Andrea and Juana tells him about Andrea’s letter. Antonio is shocked that Rebeca would say those things, but Juana reiterates that she wrote them herself. Antonio thinks they should wait till she reappears and then hangs up before calling Margarita to tell her about the letter. Margarita is also shocked because Andrea defended her love passionately, but this proves that she’s immature. Antonio reminds her that she lost her voice when her parents died so it makes sense. Either way, they both agree that it was for the best as her relationship with Jorge was not correct. She then bids him goodbye and promises to see him tonight. Antonio then looks at a picture of him with Ricardo and tells him that his daughters need him now more than ever.

Carlos finds Rebeca in the hospital and calls her over to talk. He hopes that he is not overstepping but he hopes that she maintains her distance from Francisco while the case against Fabiola is pending. Rebeca asks if Francisco asked him to tell her this, but he tells her that it’s his personal suggestion for the benefit of his client. Rebeca nods and then Carlos bids her goodbye. Once alone, Rebeca reiterates that Francisco is trying to get rid of her, no matter what Carlos said.

Andrea wakes up and calls for Hortensia, but no one answers. She then gets up to open the door but finds it locked. She wonders why but quickly goes back to sleep.

Sofia runs into the man who ordered Fabiola’s death at Rosendo’s ranch. He tells her that he already gave the order at the prison and asks her for a present. Sofia smiles and tells his that he will get his present when he confirms Fabiola is dead. Just then, Rosendo comes and orders the man to go with another two to keep a look out. He leaves and Rosendo wonders why Sofia was talking to him. She explains that she was bored and asked the man to teach her how to shoot because she didn’t want to bother him. She tries to leave but Rosendo stops her and warns her not to mess with his people. Sofia reiterates that she understood his terms and storms off.

Margarita goes to Pedro's office to tell him that Francisco told the police that Ramon hired someone to beat him. Pedro curses him, as they are stalling, but he and Margarita plan to find everyone that went inside the building that day and questioning them one-by-one.

Ramon agrees at Cuellar’s office and sits down to talk. Cuellar tells him that Sofia escaped under his men’s nose and they need his help finding her as she is likely with Rosendo. Ramon wonders what he can do, and Cuellar asks him to be bait though Ramon doesn’t want anymore trouble. Cuellar reminds him that Sofia is obsessed with him and will contact him again so all he needs is to tap his cell phone for now. Ramon nods.

Hortensia goes inside the room to give Andrea more pills. Andrea wonders why she locked her inside the room and Hortensia explains that she was worried she would leave because she’s not right in the head. Andrea doesn’t understand, and Hortensia explains that something must be wrong with her to have a relationship with her cousin. She then hands Andrea the pills and a glass of water and Andrea takes them, no questions asked. Hortensia then hands her the bible to read as she needs to find God again and realize her relationship with Jorge is forbidden. Hortensia then locks her inside the room once again to answer the door. It’s Luisa, who came to bring her groceries from Julio. Hortensia grabs them quickly and slams the door shut. She then wonders where she could institutionalize Andrea because she’s not safe in her apartment…

Hey all! I wanted to thank RGV and Sandie for their efforts on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you for continuing to power through despite the extra work or choppy episodes.

Diana, very happy to see you are back. You were indeed missed :)

Fair warning: this episode was choppy as hell and made even less sense than the usual fruit salad Univision gives us.

One, Sofia went from kidnapped daughter, to murdering hussy in .5 seconds because the big intro conversation was cut.

Second, Hortensia went from nightmare grandma to crazy bible thumper in .2 seconds because the lead was missing as well.

As it stands, these plotlines are confusing but, with this editing, I can't imagine how they would make sense to anyone watching them.

Fabiola in jail for adultery is stupid, stupid, stupid but Francisco finally has plenty of reasons to squirm. Liar, liar, Frank, pants on fire.

Pedro, never go on vacation again. These fools are lost without you.

Thank you Alfredo! Your recap was much better than the show, because I was so lost in this cutting up important parts. Horrortensia went from an annoying bitchy grandma, to criminal behavior of imprisoning her own granddaughter. FYI: The Bible says NOTHING about not marrying your cousin. But it does forbid kidnapping and false imprisonment, punishable by death. Horrortensia needs to read the Bible for herself!

I sure hope Rebeca wises up and realizes Franc is only using her. She needs to turn him in asap.

Thank you Alfredo for your recap and 'fill in the blanks' recap. Uni is really on a cutting binge.

Many of the characters seems to have undergone dramatic changes: Hortensia reverting to her evil self, Sofia ordering a hit job on Faviola and using sex to get it, and Andrea losing her critical faculties by writing the ludicrous letter, freely taking pills from the wicked witch and not rushing out the door. The writers clearly have become bored. And Viewerville is dumbstruck at the stupidity of the storyline.

A lot of reckoning needs to be happening and soon.

wait! what?

Well...that just happened.the show has jumped a couple sharks at this point.

This storyline with Horrible drugging and imprisoning her own granddaughter is wacky. I yelled , "Andrea, shove the ok'd bat and head for the door.,"

Sofia is suddenly a femme fatale giving sex for favors????

Still...I was glad to see Fran all banged up.

Thank you, Alfredo.

Alfredo thanks! Another heroic effort with a botched silly story line. Even if we had seen it all it would not have made sense. As Susanlynn said, "The writers jumped a shark on this one." And congrats on that new little granddaughter. Babies are the best.

Cynthia, glad you brought up that the Bible says nothing about loving your cousin. Hortensia does need to get into a Bible Study post haste. And lose her memory again, since when she's compos mentis (or however they say it) she's a nasty piece of goods indeed. Julio comes by his shabby behavior honestly, you could say.

The actress playing Reyna looks very familiar. And her former beau plays a baddie frequently. I've always wondered if he could carry off a sweet old man role some day.

Thanks Alfredo. Another "above and beyond". Very grateful.

I was just checking The WEather Channel and found amazing photos. Google 100 places straight out of fairytales . Amazing photos !

Yeah, Hor is up to her ok'd, wicked ways again. Almost makes you sorry that Fran and Becky are not still keeping her sedated. I thought that most telenovela abuelas were sweet, salt of the earth, supportive souls. Hor evidently did not get the message.

Thank You AAA. Excellent and catchy as usual. Especially enjoyed your personality change timer in your comment.

So SoFurious has gotten in touch with her inner Hoe, and is now bargaining to have Fabi killed. That's probably for the best. As these two truly need to be removed from the gene pool. Her little nugget she is carrying can not possibly turn out too bright. Look at Betito.

Case in point: “If we drop the false accusation charge, maybe Cyst will drop the adultery charge.” Riiiiiiiiiight. How did you wind up in jail anyway, a DUI on your flying cow? “If we give this guy back his gun, maybe he will appreciate it so mucho he will change his mind about shooting and killing us.”

And SoFurious, what's up with Hopping the Help now? At work and here in FloriDuh, the first level of bargaining was always a BJ. It is quick and convenient, you don't have to remove your clothes and take a chance on getting caught, you don't need a bed, per se, and it is more quiet.(only the guy can talk) That was always the standby of the girls at work, looking for a promotion, girls getting out of a traffic ticket, and girls with a grudge. “Hey, ya Skank, I ____ your husband's ___. Ha” Of Course Jerry Springer lives in my town. Hmmmmm

I am afraid my flying cows is not a preposterous enough metaphor for Andrea held captive and gulping pills with no questions asked from Horrorrhoid.

A. Let's be practical. Gramm is going to run out of pills too soon. If they are from the VA she is going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do. OK she's not a Vet, never mind
B. Sofurious would have already thrown a TV through that big window, Hopped a cabbie, (if she didn't have cab fare) and come back with hand grenades.
C. These have got to be the most ineffective group of handwringers I have ever seen, even on a TN. I'd love to see what they would do with , for instance, discovery of a fire ant colony in their washing machine.

More after coffee

Susy I assume your loveable tablet has decided old actually means ok'd?

When I was writing and I wanted to type R i i i i ght, to draw it out, my word processor capitalized all the eyes, so I gave up.

If auto correct is the precursor to full blown artificial intelligence, humanity is in for a rough ride.

Cynthia, if we take the Adam and Eve story at face value, their kids and grandkids might have had trouble hooking up with a non-relative.

Folgers is my friend.

Thank you, Alfredo. Filling in missing scenes is so helpful.

Cyst has a habit of shortchanging his partners in crime. It didn't go well with Darío and Rebeca is getting fed up with it too. She is not just going to take it.

Horror is back to her old self. Kidnapping and drugging her granddaughter, thinking of sending her to a mental facility, deranged is right Alfredo. I assume drugs made Andrea confused and without will. That is why she offered no resistance and complied with everything Horror told her to do.

It is unfortunate they cut Don Pedro scenes. Rare person with a sound judgement in this group. Alfredo, agree, "Pedro, never go on vacation again. These fools are lost without you."

The man doing Sofia's bidding for a hop is so dumb. He already has the example of Jacinto. One guy died for doing unauthorized things behind the boss' back. Let's see how it will go for me.

Sofia cannot sink any lower.

Good morning everyone. Good morning Winter solstice - so happy to see the lovely bee and flower to remind us that spring will come. Eventually.

Alfredo, I first need to echo the comments, thanking you for your extraordinary efforts. I was totally lost last night (except for the obvious drugging of Andrea by her beloved grandmother of course). I so appreciate all the time and care you put into this. Marvelous as always.

Deranged Grandmothers & Jealous Love was excellent.

“Ramon then explains how they proved his innocence and thanks Fabiola for never doubting him. Huh?? Ramon, you should get that short term memory deficit checked…

Similarly, “Sofia smiles and tells his that he will get his present when he confirms Fabiola is dead”. Really? How fast Sofia has descended into Hades. Blech.

“Francisco is writhing around in pain”. Goody. So much for kindness and the Christmas spirit – ho, ho, ho. ITA Susanlynn, "Still...I was glad to see Fran all banged up". Yup.

For a slight sliver of a second, I thought there might be hope for Hort. Nopis. "Horror is back to her old self" said it all Lucio! Why oh why did Andrea not realize right away that her door being locked meant something was amiss? Where is my beanie!?

Grinned ear to ear at "Let's be practical. Gramm is going to run out of pills too soon. If they are from the VA she is going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do. OK she's not a Vet, never mind" Kirby. Perfect.

Julio's continued silence in not telling Jorge the truth at this point borders on abusive. He sees he and Andrea are being ostracized. Does he care?? Nopis.

You all know how bad my memory is. Does Soph's father realize that Soph was the one who turned him in? I can't remember.

Alfredo, thank you for your insight and your humor. You are the best!

Diana

Back by popular demand. Managed to get pretty close.
Birds and Bees?

Noooo he has no idea daughter dearest is the one.

Thanks Kirby.

And, beautiful birdy!

Diana

Good Morning! Thank you AAA for an eye-opening, thought provoking recap!! You managed to help us make some sense of this sorry excuse of a story.

I can't say much more about the slicing and nonsense Univision and the writers are throwing at us...I think a nice cocktail (or other drink with a punch) is needed to swallow this BS.

Lucio, it did look like Rebeca is finally getting fed up; can't wait till she, hopeofully, take s revenge.

"Horror is back to her old self. " When/How did that happen! What she's doing to Andrea is just plain crazy! Makes me think the Cyst's recommendation (some time back) to check her into an insane asylum wasn't such a bad idea.

SOFurious becomes SOFu**ingEvil (literally)...or is that another one of her personalities?

Kirby, love the flower and the bee...such vivid colors!! Thanks, at least something positive to say :-)

I was writing while others posted.

Kirby, "Grinned ear to ear at "Let's be practical. Gramm is going to run out of pills too soon. If they are from the VA she is going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do. OK she's not a Vet, never mind"" I agree with Diana...PERFECT!

Diana, "Julio's continued silence in not telling Jorge the truth at this point borders on abusive. He sees he and Andrea are being ostracized. Does he care?? Nopis." That is definitely abusive and heartless. Can;t wait for his anvil to fall.

Kirby, nice, little birdie...thanks again for giving us something nice to comment on :-)

In the surveillance video which 'cleared' RaMoon, I could have sworn that right before RaMoon appeared, it showed Dairy-Oh leaving. I thought it showed a scrufty looking guy with long unkept hair walking briskly toward and then under the camera.

Thanks

OK. Here is an RGV Style picture. The best I could do. If it doesn't have a beating heart, I'm just not on my game.

Kirby, your eye did not deceive you. I rewatched that scene and it was Dario walking out right before Ramon appeared.

Pretty hibiscus!! Thanks...keep 'em coming!

Ha!..I meant both eyes didn't deceive you LOL

Thank you, all! I'm glad I this patio on for the ride because I don't know how much more dumbness I can handle. This novela started slow and now it has gone off the rails but we didn't see the deviation, did we?

I was shocked that Sofia used sex to get the henchman to do what she wanted. Since when does she stoop that low? Was it because Ramon rejected her on the doorstep of her building? What?

Also, Hortensia was falling down dizzy from drinking too many pills. When did she think of kidnapping Andrea? As they chatted in her living room?

These people are stupid but they have never been crazy so what gives?

Does this mean Hortensia is going to fling Fabiola from a balcony when she finds out about her pregnancy?

Hibiscus? Isn't that a sport or a disease?

Flowers sure are easy. You don't have to chase them down or sneak up on them and they can't even fly.
I may be onto something.

Thanks RGV, so it was Dario. Hmmmm. As I watched it I kept willing them to run the tape back and watch it in slow motion. Isn't that the way it is done, not having the people walking 30 miles an hour?

Especially with Don Pedro there, he should have caught that. Also, most of the surveil cam systems I have dealt with do not record sound. We clearly heard the popo sirens coming about the time RaMushforbrains arrived.

"I was shocked that Sofia used sex to get the henchman to do what she wanted." Really?

Somehow I wasn't. She's not gonna wear it out the way she WAS going.
:-)

OT- Kirby, Oooh, another pretty one! Yes I do like the fact that I don't have to go chasing around for flowers...here's one from my garden. I'm using it now because it looks like a candy cane; though it's called "George Burns."....and it's a lot nicer than my excuse of a snowman LOL

If they show the video to Ramoon, he might recognize him, but I suppose the writers think that would make too much sense.

Oh here is another tidbid for this time of year applicable to the cousin situation: Joseph and Mary were said to be first cousins. So we should tell Horrortensia that if it's good enough for the Holy Family, it's good enough for Andrea and Jorge. Of course in our story, we know they are only cousins by adoption. :)

Oh and Sofia, what a ho she has turned out to be. She and Franc need to be together because they deserve each other. Not even Rebeca is good enough for Franc.

Candy Cane is pretty nice when you click it and see it as a picture rather than a thumbnail and see the detail. Is it a Hibiscus? George Burns, or Carlin is the LAST thing I'd call that one!

OT:-) How much more will Rebecca take before she turns on Cyst? She has been showing positive signs for a while now.

"How to win friends and influence people" by Fr4ancyst...NOT. Look at all he has gunning for his hide now. Julio, to a small part, Dario, Rulo, Ramoon (should be if he had a brain) Fabi, Rebecca, maybe Hormorrhoid, line up, people, no pushing.

Where'd that four come from? Oh, above are. Never mind.

Alfredo, I agree the story line has gotten really dumb. So that pitcher of murky looking water in Hortensia's room was actually lemonade? I can't figure out why Andrea just downed the whole glass at once either. It seems to me that putting drugs in the water would make it taste really bad. I hate the taste of medication and pills, gross!

Chickie and Kirby..thank you for the beautiful f!ower photos . Looking out my window , everything is gray and brown now that the snow has melted.

Diana, I cannot believe the quick change these writers made with Sofia.

Happy Winter Solstice...the shortest day of the hear. #stillwrapping

Cynthia, thanks for reminding us about Joseph and Mary! And yes, Andrea quickly downing the glass of lemonade...and the pills was quite questionable and nonsensical.

Kirby, that's a rose.

"Not even Rebeca is good enough for Franc" is definitely true Cynthia. I am with Kirby in thinking her coat is going to turn. And fast.

The actress is very pretty. I don't think I've seen her before.

Thanks for the flowers Rgv Chick and Kirby. Nice to have pretty pictures to look at while we roll our eyes trying to figure out this mess as any shred of credibility any of these storylines might have had totally evaporates.

Diana

Yeah, it didn't make any sense in the complete episode. Andrea downed that glass like she had been walking the desert for days. She then took more pills, no questions asked, and didn't even fight. I thought they would at least have Hortensia force deed her the pills but, as it stands, Andrea shrugged her shoulders and popped those pills like tic tacs.

The writers must be reading Caray and snickering among themselves.

"Hey Diablo, I'm gonna have Ramon ...blah blah blah lah lah loo.... next episode. It will send that RGV Chick, Alfredo, and that Johnson Jackass on Caray into orbit tonight."

"Tee Hee, yeah this is gonna be good."

Rebecca has the prettiest blue peepers. Nice hair, and she rocks a short dress OK too.

Woof

Here’s something that would send me into orbit:

Ramoron decides to try to talk to the Cyst again; so he decides to go see him at the hospital. Right before he gets there, Cyst feels a torpedo coming so he gets up to go to the bathroom. As Cyst walks in he slips and knocks his brains out on the commode. Ramoron walks in and tries to help as Nursie comes in and yells, “you killed him!”

I would love that storyline only because it gets rid of Francisco. As it stands, I am waiting for everyone to find out he's a rapist and beat him dead.

Dario should go to the hospital and finish off Franc. Then he should receive a medal of honor from the police. ;)

RGV have you been watching ahead?

:-)

LOL No, Kirby, just wishful thinking :-)

Yes, that scene of ANdrea waking up, finding the door locked, and just going back to bed was odd. Then, she obediently takes the pills abuela gives her. Hor is back to being a bruja. Her ordeal at the hands of Fran and Becky have not changed her nasty. Controlling nature.

Ramoony and Fabu might want to dial back their public displays of affection in the prison visitors room. That bad guy has been in a lot of telenovelas and always as a really bad guy.

Alfredo,

You outdid yourself, what a mess Uni has created with the scissors. I feel like I have missed so much when I only watch the episodes. For instance when did Hortensia regain the use of her arms??? And Sofia man what a drastic change, murderer whaaat?

Thank you, thank you for all your dedication to this blog.

I have a big problem with the new Andrea plot line, what for? what's the point? I just hope this will push Julio to tell Jorge he is adopted, but don't hold your breath.

The only one making any sense about now is Diegito, even he can see the error of his ways and change for his dad's sake.

Hmmmm,....I've been locked in Grammy's bedroom for a few days, and have not seen anyone. Yuckers, I need a shower too. Oh well, nappy time.

Try that with any of us on the patio and you will think you are filming 'This Olde House..Demo Day'

Those little flimsy interior doors are MADE for kicking out of the door frame. I know I think too much, but I've had an exciting life. (and a lots of cray cray friends)

"public displays of affection in the prison visitors room"....wasn't RaMoon mentioning checking on the Bunny Hop Visit rules? 'Yikes she may die in here, I'd better tag it a couple last times just in case.' Sheezo son, you actually have bigger fish to fry.

Univision has traded their scissors for a hatchet!

Chainsaw

Alfredo thank you for recapping the
Craziness that is these people. O M G!

Ramon ask the question "why does this
Keep happening to us?" Well here is my
Answer, CUZ Y'ALL IS DUMB!You keep on
Making those dumb moves, and you don't
Think Before you move.If I didn't care
About the ending I wouldn't watch this anymore,I have been so frustrated with
These people, the stupidity of them all
And I know the writers wrote it like this on purpose. Cuz we love a good love story.I don't recall people being this Dumb in love stories of the past. Owell There is a first time for every thing.
That baby fabi is carrying,I hope he
Or she got some braincells from asmart
Ancestors, cuz fabis and ramon's are on
Strike or vacation.Or just don't care.
And jauana's,lets not speak ill of the braindead.
Julio the liar, the gamble, the thief.
He bespeaks of his own demise "truth
Will always come out".yes His days are numbered.

Granny Iam appalled at you pushing bad pills on your sweet granddaughter. Its
Not her fault she's in love with her
Not cousin.

Sofia has become the dark side. What a
Nasty creature she has become. What'll
She turn into when she finds out fabi
Is with child? Enough about her, she's
Already dead.
That detevtive, I can't pronounce his
Name so I call him cellular, like the
Phone. Well It probably doesn't sound anything like Cellular in Spanish but I work with what I've got.

Still don't like frankfarter. Becky is
Gonna do him in.And he will so deserve
It. And she'll probably use drugs. That
Is his weapon of choice. When it goes around it comes back & usually worse than it was for the person that actually caused it to go around, and he is in for it big time.

THANK you Alfredo. Lovely recap.
