Caer En Tentacion #53, 1/3/18: Who Needs Therapy the Most?
- Mia is out of surgery, the operation was difficult and she needed blood transfusions, but at least she's not dead, yay?
- Santiago is trying to comfort a distraught Raquel, she blames herself for being distracted by her relationship with him and not paying enough attention to Mia and her issues. Uh, someone needs to remind Raquel that Mia's issues are not something new.
- Miriam is seething, she vows revenge on Raquel not only for the slap but for flaunting her relationship with Santiago.
- Andres tries to tell Mimi that the most important thing now is for Mia to get better, Miriam tells him that the only way for that to happen is for Raquel to be dead.
- Raquel pays a visit to Damian and tells him that he ruined their family and that if something happens to Mia she will kill him.
- Rueda confronts Alina- he wants her gone and out of his and Sammy's lives. He calls her a gold-digger and insinuates that she got where she is because she slept her way there. Alina tells him that she never needed him in order to advance her career and that she knows the real reason he wants her gone, and just like that we get confirmation that Alina and Rueda did the nasty.
- Alina is gross.
- Rueda offers her his share of a law firm in Los Angeles, he tells her she needs to get the fudge out of Mexico.
- We see Laura and Godoy together, she's getting info out of him on his new case which involves prostitution and some models, one of the models has a growing attachment towards him and how much do you guys wanna bet that she's Godoy's other woman? Godoy makes Laura promise not to share the information he has given her because doing to would put the girl in danger and compromise his investigation.
- Damian and Vicente have a chat, Vicente tells Damian that he loves Carolina and that when she was still a young girl someone tried to rape her- he killed the rapist in order to protect his sister, but he does not tell Damian who the man was. BTW, it is clear from this conversation that Carolina was NOT a teenager but rather still a young child when this happened.
- The tension between Carolina and Santiago is at new heights, they are arguing about money all the time and Santiago feels like a loser, he confides in his friends and in Raquel that Carolina has changed. He believes she deserves a different kind of man- one that's more successful and can better provide for her, someone like Damian (dude, if only you knew).
- Santiago is feeling this was because Carolina has offered to sell her half of the catering business in order to give him the money so that he can continue his construction project.
- Lola points out that every time her mom and dad fight it's because of Raquel and Damian.
- Damian finds out that Mia is seeing Nicolas and that they almost had sex, he makes it clear that he does not want Mia to be in a relationship with Nico.

Damian - Raquel knew of it and went looking for it and found it in Andres' office. According to ballistics, this is not the type of gun that killed Caro.
Vicente - He actually had two guns in a bucket. No one has spoken up about them - yet.
Santi - Raquel found it and he says it was his father's. It has not been checked by the police, but I think they would have known right away from the bullets recovered that they didn't come from a police service revolver.
Random boys playing in the underbrush - I really thought the kid with the gun was going to pull the trigger. Whew. I think we can be pretty sure it is going to be the murder weapon, but how careless of the killer to just toss it aside near the accident/burial site.
Revisiting Episode #6 - Two things we might have missed. While the two families are in Acapulco on that first joint getaway weekend, FEDE is seen driving a yellow jeep around on the beach with the other three kids in it. So HE has his driver's license. It's doubtful Lola and Nico have one--they do cost money and insurance. OTOH, Nico started working for his father and probably should have been able to drive the truck. If Fede had one, why wouldn't Mia also have one, even if we haven't seen her drive.
The other thing, concerning Nico was what Vic told him out on the highway when he temporarily "disappeared." Vic told him his mother was a zorra and only cares about herself. They get into a fight, but Nic is smart and I wonder what he thought of that statement, later on.
I know I should feel some compassion for Mia because she has been sick in the head for years but her manipulation and need for control of everyone around her, which is a sympton of her sickness, makes her completely unlikable.
If the doc thinks Mia was trying to commit suicide shouldn't she be tied down as a danger to herself? Also, the doc must have seen extensive scars from Mia's years of cutting. Why hasn't he told Raq about it and call in a psychiatrist?
“Alina is gross” Understatement of the century..
Hopefully that gun is given to the right authorities (Godoy and Antonio). It’ll have be tested for fingerprints. If it’s not Santiago’s gun then whose is it? That is the question.
It’s frustrating that Santiago and Raquel can’t be happy together. This might be their breakup for the time being. Mia and Miriam will continue to get their way.
Damian was understandably shocked by Carolina’s revelation. I wonder if Vicente told her not to tell Santiago since he told Damian that he (Damian) was the third person who knew what happened. Carolina should tell Santiago though.
Meantime, I have zero sympathy for Mia who I think has fully inherited Miriam's genes and is just not a good person- period!
I'm having trouble with Bebo's relationship with Lola because I'm seeing Bebo as JORGE in Enamorandome directly before CAER and it messes with my brain. I try not to let it interfere but they should really be a little more careful about the casting!
(meantime I can now catch up on my recorded episodes of my 3 telenovelas because it's so damn cold here, I refuse to go out after 6pm!! (I know I shouldn't complain because I am in SARASOTA, FLA. but it's all what you are used to- ha ha!!)
Benji thrown at her to except him as
Her brother, that was to much. That's
My theory. There's a lot of theories on
The patio. It's gettin close yall. We
Will probably be shocked to find out
Who really done the deed.Or damian can could just wake up and tell us Who dunit.
Nina, I wonder if the murder weapon was thrown away because the person either a) hadn't intended to take it that far or b) simply panicked?
I keep expecting to see horns and the devil's tail appear every time Alina speaks. I still think there is a tragic backstory there
Santi and Raquel didn't have enough keeping them apart, did they? Now Miriam and the "proven paternity" have to muddy the waters even more.
I am crazy about Bebo and the actor Pierre Louis. Soon, he will hopefully step into some galan roles.
Anita thank you for all the additional information.
I don't think Vincente did it either. Mulling over Anita's comments, it could be plausible one or more of the kids were involved. I hope not.
Diana
OK, now we know approximately when Vicente killed their father. Where the hell was their mother through all that? What was her role in their lives?
When, therefore, did Carolina sell the family home and why did Vicente get nothing from it? Is it possible that is he imagining that part or thought he deserved it all?
Miriam will probably try to kill Raquel at some point before the end. Not sure she could finally do it when push comes to shove but her hatred of Raquel is truly sick. Mia is her true child and I'm sure she's been mostly a very distant grandmother up until now.
I was actually afraid that the child would pull the trigger and there would be a senseless tragedy. At least that didn't happen. But I can't think of who among these characters could be so stupid as to throw the murder weapon away where it could be found.
Now about alina,Sammy and his dad, reuda. Did he have an affair with
Alina? Cause I was thinkin Sammy is her son but I don't think so.That'd be
A great plot tho.Yhatwould mean incest
So noooooo that nasty.
Those little boys that were playing with the gun, looks like they should have been old enough to know a real gun from a toy gun.
UA--I won't be surprised at all now if Mia had something to do with the murder and she tossed the gun without thinking--as she usually does.
At some point we must go back to the security camera at the toll booth. Caro did NOT look frightened. She looked SURPRISED. So whoever it was she recognized did not immediately cause fear in her, nor did we see her turn and tell Dam who she just saw (unless we're being kept from that little nugget).
I hope Bebo's eye clears up soon. He IS a good-looking dude. More Bebo, please and less Juan--ok, so Lola only got a phone call from him while Bebo was in the house, but is he ... watching....
Stay safe and warm, even folks down in Florida, but especially our New England folks. We didn't get much snow here in the Mid-Atlantic, but it sure is frigid and the wind blew. Wish I could share some of my signature chili con carne, which is bubbling away right now, with everybody.
Oh noes, Bebo's going to hook up with Lola. She's sweet but clueless cause I just no psycho Juan will pop up to menace her and Bebo.
Alina and Ruedo. That surprised me. I guess she does the young ones for control kicks and Rueda was strictly for career purposes. After all he's going through with his son, you'd think he wouldn't do Miriam's bidding, but nope.
As filler, he probably should have brought it up, but Raq already knew about it. She and Mia had some long talks about it and she did get Mia to a psychologist--which didn't last very long. Apparently it did work for several years. She did stop cutting, but took her cutting kit to grandma's. When she realized that everybody was putting Benji's future and needs before her own, she reverted to wanting to feel a high from pain--like an addict needs a high from the drug of choice.
I wanted to watch because the cast is so good but right now all I can deal with on the entertainment front is escapism.
Maybe I'll catch it when it is rerun.
Confession time: sometimes I skip episodes and just read the recaps because I really get depressed when I watch. I think the only other show that made me want to drink was "La Gata"- if this is in fact over 100 episodes we really should stock up on booze, maybe we can even get a group discount?
However, her survival cannot depend on Raquel's death. Mis is like a latter-day Erzebet Bathory, demanding the very life blood of others. She needs to be neutralized.
And Re: Marido— I also get really tired of them playing theme music every time a couple starts kissing or whatever else. (In MARIDO) After awhile that gets quite tiresome and down right annoying to me.
Its possible that CAER will have more than one major mystery so perhaps the Carolina one will get solved but there will be another oneor some major repercussions to work out. I do not want it to end that soon. Perhaps in another couple of weeks ill be ready.
So is the new comedic one with sebastian rulli coming in to replace Marido?
