Caer en Tentacion #84/85, 2/9/18: Carol is determined to end the guilt; and Raquel finds out that Carol has been cheating on Santi (or does she?).

Mia is in the hospital with Damian when he speaks and says “Carolina” Mia asks “do you remember who Carolina is?” he whispers again “Carolina” and starts going into convulsions, Mia begins to panic and starts yelling for a nurse to come. A nurse comes in and asks Mia to please leave. Mia looks stressed and is panicking.
At Raquel’s house Santi comes to see Benji, Raquel hands Benjamin to Santi. Santi gets Benji and says lets go home and Benji {who in my opinion is the best actor in this TN} says “a la casa”. Santi asks Raquel “how did you do it how did she change her mind?” Raquel replies “She is going to give up custody, it’s complicated.” “you will be able to come visit him any time, as often as you want, you will be with him forever “ Santi wonders what Raquel means by come see him as often as you like and says “What do you mean come as often as we can, Lola Nicolas and I are his family”, “look at me I'm not your enemy, he will be fine, I only ask you to please understand” she asks him to be patient he wonders why he always has to be the one to understand.
Saldivar goes to the construction project to look for Santi, but he is not there Agustin and Nacho tells him that he needs to let them know what he wants. Saldivar says all I can tell you is that I did him a favor and I come to charge him for it now. Nacho wants to keep pressing Saldivar for answers but Agustin tells him that they can investigate later.
Lola is at the hospital and the doctor tells her that there is no heart beat and that her baby has perished. Lola is saddened; he tells her that it is common in the first pregnancies. He tries to console her but she is sad.
Santi apologizes to Raquel for saying the things he has been saying, Raquel asks him to just understand her situation with Damian and her kids, Santi tells her he does not want to lose her she says that she will always love him, but he says I feel I am losing you already.
Santi gets a call from Nico, he tells her about Lola. Santi asks if she is ok. He tells Raquel that Lola lost the baby. As she is getting ready to go with Santi Jovita comes in and says that “panicky, needy Mia” called that it is urgent that Raquel go to the hospital. Santi tells her to go with Mia as he has to go with Lola.
Juan is at his mom’s house and she tells him that he has a restraining order and just got out of jail on bail so he needs to stay away from Lola but Juan is desperate to go see Lola to go see how his baby is doing. He tells his mom that he can’t go but she can go find out how Lola and the baby are doing.
At a restaurant Cynthia meets Godoy. He tells her that he called her because he wants to find out about Damian, has he talked yet. She becomes upset because he is using her again. She thought after the kisses at her sister’s house that she meant something to him. She leaves upset at him for using her again.
Santi gets to the hospital and Nico tells him that they had to take the baby out because it did not have a heartbeat. At that moment Bebo gets to hospital and confesses to Santi that he loves her but she does not want him around, Santi tells him to just tell her he loves her and give her all the support that she needs, because at this moment that is what she needs the most.
Raquel gets to the hospital talks to Mia and Mia tells her that Damian said Carolina’s name.
Damian comes into the bathroom and asks who it is. Carol lies and says it’s Flo and that she has to go. Is something wrong, he wants to know? She tells him “I do not want to feel guilty any more, I don’t want you to worry, do you trust me? Let’s think about recuperating the year we lost, that’s all I want” (not shown – Damian takes her and kisses her one more time)
Carolina goes home and takes the gun out of the case, puts in her purse, gets bullets puts them in the purse.
Florencia is in the kitchen with 2 year old Benjamin and Carol tells her that she needs to go do something with her brother and that she needs her to stay. Florencia agrees to stay. Carol says she will be back in a couple of hours, and that everything will be ok.
At the banquet hall Raquel is having a conversation with her assistant, she asks her about Andres and Carolina. “What have you noticed about their relationship” all that the assistant can tell her is that when Andres is alone with Carolina, he mistreats her and Carolina does not do anything to defend herself as if she was afraid of him. Raquel thanks her for her honesty.
At Damian’s office Santi is waiting for Damian, is pleased that the home sales have gone well and is here to drop of Damian’s part of the money.
Santi gives Damian a check and Damian thinks that they should not stop the partnership. Santi says that if that is the case they should sign a contract. Damian does not need a contract because Santi has proven to be trust worthy. So they shake on it. Santi gets a call from Carol who tells him she is going to Vicente’s Santi says that he does not trust Vicente. Damian overhears and worries. Santi tells him that she is going to Vicente. Both worry about Carol.
Carol has arrived to Vicente’s house she sits in the car and remembers when she was with Damian the first time in their Cabin and Damian tells her that he wants to buy the cabin because it is where there story began. She is brought back to the present when her phone rings. It is Damian who is in his car headed to Vicente’s house he asks her where she is she lies and says at home. He tells her he knows she is lying and that she is at Vicente’s “I told you I was going to end our problems, and I will end the worse of them” Damian tries to stop her but she hangs up, she gets out of the car and looks at Vicente who is outside of his house waiting for her.
Santi gets home and Flo tells him that she is worried because Carol left to go to Vicente’s to handle problems he is having with Lisa. She convinces Santi to go look for her because she has a bad feeling about Vicente.
Raquel goes to Andres’ office and asks him what is going on with him and Carolina
Damian continues to call Carol but gets no answer.
Santi is calling her as well leaves her a message that he is on his way to the town.
Carol tells Vicente “I am tired Vicente that you hurt me, that you keep extorting me, I am sorry that I did what I did” “oh you regret what you did, well it’s too late, I was a good man before I did what I did for you, you know that every night I see my father accusing me, you and our father ruined my life”
She tells Vicente that she has begged him. He says “You think I do this for money, at least I can buy the bottles of liquor, the food for my kid” she says “You have to stop hurting Lisa, stop drinking.” He yells at her and says
“I am no good after protecting you; I am no good I did it because I love you.” “I wanted to protect you from everything. And you paid me by leaving me I will remember until I die” then he tells her that there is one way for all of this to stop, just call Santi “ tell the truth , call Santi and tell them you cheat on him, call Raquel and tell her you betrayed her, tell your kids” “I want to do it but I can’t” at this point they both are screaming at each other she asks him to stop, “shut up” she takes gun out of her purse, she points the gun at him “what are you doing” “I am ending this” she continues pointing the gun and shoots at him.
Damian arrives at Vicente’s house and he hears the gun shot. Runs into the house
Fed meets his boyfriend Iker at a restaurant. A waiter comes to ask what does he want to drink and Iker says “the same thing my boyfriend is drinking” Fede gets upset at him for saying that because he just does it to get attention. Iker tells him that he does not hide who he is like Fede does. “You should accept who you are” Fede tells him that things are over between them because he has found someone else. Icker says “who is he?” Fede says “she”
At the hospital Raquel goes to see Damian. Talks to him he opens his eyes
“Hi, do you feel better?” he nods “is it true that you don’t know who Carolina is?”
At another hospital Santi is with Lola, she wakes up after having had the extraction of the fetus. She blames herself for losing the baby, Santi consoles her and tells her not to be sad and that it was not her fault. “Can you please call Raquel I want to see her”? “I will call her.” He asks her to please get better because he and her brothers need her. She continues to cry.
Doctor talks to Raquel and tells her that Damian will have trouble remembering things but he can continue to improve. In the meantime Mia is by Damian’s side tormenting him telling him, he can only remember his family that includes only Raquel, Fede and herself.
{Omg Laura and her stupid talk show}. She talks about Vicente Rivas; he has been arrested and says that Blas Garrido is a suspect in the death of Carolina and that Vicente who is the brother of the Victim has been linked to Blas. At a remote area Blas is listening to this report and is worried that Vicente will talk. “He has a big mouth” a man that is with him says “at least he does not know everything”. “We will have to do something so he does not talk”
Andres is freaking out because Vicente is in Jail and might implicate him in the shootout. So he tells Rueda to go represent Vicente so that he can take control of the situation.
Santi calls Raquel and updates as to what happened to Lola. He tells her that Lola asked to see her. He also thanks her for all that she has done for Lola. Raquel says she does it because she loves her as if she was her own daughter
Nico comes to tell Santi that the nurse told him that a lady had come to ask about Lola’s condition, Santi assumes it may be the press and says they have to be careful not to let anyone near her.
Nacho comes to visit Lola as well. Nacho wants to talk to Santi; he talks to him about Saldivar coming over to the construction project. “What did he want?” “He said you owe him some money, what is going on with that guy, why is he looking for you?”
Juan is at his house wondering about the baby, she asked his mom and she found out that Lola lost the baby but Juan thinks that she killed his baby.
Bebo goes to visit Lola. She keeps saying she is a bad person and that is why she lost the baby. He tries to convince her to give him a chance and to start their lives together. “I want to be with you” she says he deserves someone better.
Antonio tells Godoy that Laura sure has stepped on it this time by talking about Vicente and linking him to Garrido. Godoy thinks that it may benefit the case, but Antonio wonders how.
Nacho continues asking Santi “What are you involved in?” “Nothing it was something having to do with Damian”. Alina shows up. “How is Lola? I want to know how she is.” Nacho leaves, Santi says the baby was lost. Raquel walks in and makes a face when she sees Alina there.
Raquel says “I can’t believe you still are interacting with that woman that was with Nico.” Santi smiles and says that Alina has helped them.
Raquel goes to see Lola, makes Lola feel better. "You are young strong and you will soon be better”. Lola asks to be left alone with Raquel. Lola tells Raquel she is like the only mother that she’s had since Carol has been gone. She says that she was ok with her gone because she would not cheat on her dad anymore but she misses her
Miriam is at hospital asking Damian to get better. He starts saying Carolina, “Do you know who she is? Do you know what happened? He looks stressed.
Antonio is at station when Radian shows up and tells him that he will be defending Vicente. Antonio is shocked that the most expensive attorney in Mexico is defending a poor man like Vicente. “Isn’t there a conflict of interest because you defend the Becker’s?” Rueda says no and states that “My client can’t testify right now”
Alina says that she did not want to make Raquel uncomfortable and that it is obvious she
Raquel continues talking to Lola, you “will be fine, you were under a lot of pressure, with Juan and trying to keep things from your dad. That was not easy, you are so young and you will be fine. You are a victim of the circumstances, you fell in love with someone and you trusted” she continues giving her a lot of very good advice. Then tells her that Bebo is a good guy and he is there for her, and he can make her happy. Then Lola tells Raquel that she makes her dad happy that he loves her, and that she wants Raquel to take care of him.
Sammy goes to see Mia tells her she looks beautiful, and she says nothing will happen between them because she loves Nico. Sammy asks her if she wants revenge on Alina, she does so he tells her that they should poison her.
Alina is flirting with Santi and telling him that she will do her best to get Benjamin. “Thank you Alina for all you do”, “it’s my job and I want to see you happy” She leans over to hug him as Raquel walks out of Lola’s room and sees them.
At the hospital Miriam tells Damian who Carolina was, “she was your lover, that’s why you are here, and you destroyed your family because of her”. Damian has had enough of the witches’ bile and goes into convulsions. The doctor rushes in, and Miriam stupidly asks why does he get like that {duh you are stressing him out moron}
Past
After the incident with Vicente Damian is with Carol, she gets a call from Santi and he tells her he is in town, she tells him she will meet him at the gas station and she begs Damian to leave.
Raquel goes to talk to Andres, and asks him what is going on between you and Carolina. He says “why do you care about that whore?” Raquel says all she wants is to know what is going on with her. Andres lies and says “she came after me and was happy until I had sex with her” Raquel says what are you saying, “that you and she?”
Santi finds Carolina at the gas station she asks him to hug her, “why did you come here” “I don’t want to talk”, Santi agrees and tells her they will talk later
At station Godoy sees Celia taken in to jail for dealing drugs {Patio I don’t see the need for this scene so understand why it was not shown}.
Santi and Carol get back home; Florencia is in the living room playing with Benji. Carol says she is tired and doesn’t even go see Benji (cold hearted). Santi does go to Benji and offers Florencia a ride home. Lola stays with Benji {since Carol is too busy feeling sorry for herself}
Raquel is at home when Damian gets home {after having gone chasing after Carolina} “where were you?” He lies and says he had meetings, Raquel does not believe him. She says “I was talking to Andres, you knew? Or where we both stupidly blind? Did you know Carolina cheated on Santi? Dam’s blood rushes out of his face.

to interrogate Lisa, asks her what does he know about Vicente why was he at her
house “he wanted somewhere to hide but did not tell me why, I felt sorry for
him and let him stay.
Lisa
is asked by Antonio if she knows who Garrido is and she says no. “What about Vicente
does he know him?” then he asks her after Carol’s death how Vicente was
behaving. She shares that he was getting worse. Also she mentions that he had
some money although he was not working so she would ask him where was he
getting this money but he would just tell her to be quiet that it was none of
her business. Antonio asks if Vicente knew about the affair Carol was having
with Damian, Lisa said yes he did and she tells him that she thought that he
may have been getting money to not tell Santi about the affair.
“Did

very happy she gets a phone call and Damian tells her not to answer. She has to answer. Goes into the bathroom to
answer. It’s Vicente. “I’ll call you later” he then says. “I am sick and tired
of not getting my money”. He threatens her, and she says that she will go out
to meet him. Damian comes into the bathroom and asks who it is. Carol lies and says it’s Flo and that she has to go. Is something wrong, he wants to know? She tells him “I do not want to feel guilty any more, I don’t want you to worry, do you trust me? In the pastDamian arrives at Vicente’s house and he hears the gun shot. Runs into the house
Santi is in the town, but
is at Lisa’s house he calls Carol but gets voice mail
Damian runs into the
house, and sees that Vicente was not hit by the shot. He says “that slut wanted
to kill me” then in what is probably the stupidest thing Carol has ever said
she says “the gun shot itself” {really? It had nothing to do with you pulling
the trigger?}. Vicente keeps insulting Carol and she says “please stop, give me
the gun, it’s Santiago’s and he does not know I have the gun” Vicente responds
that he is keeping the gun tells Carol to leave but Becker has to stay. “Becker
give me all the money in your wallet” Damian obliges. Then he tells both to
leave, and that if Damian ever is late with the payment he will Call Santi and
while he is at it he will call Raquel too. They both leave, and Vicente is left
to cry alone.
Present
Laura goes to visit Lisa and says quite incorrectly “Laura Garcia
Reporter” {she is not a reporter she is a gossip queen} she wants info and

Alina is flirting with Santi and telling him that she will do her best to get Benjamin. “Thank you Alina for all you do”, “it’s my job and I want to see you happy” She leans over to hug him as Raquel walks out of Lola’s room and sees them.
At the hospital Miriam tells Damian who Carolina was, “she was your lover, that’s why you are here, and you destroyed your family because of her”. Damian has had enough of the witches’ bile and goes into convulsions. The doctor rushes in, and Miriam stupidly asks why does he get like that {duh you are stressing him out moron}
Past
After the incident with Vicente Damian is with Carol, she gets a call from Santi and he tells her he is in town, she tells him she will meet him at the gas station and she begs Damian to leave.
Raquel goes to talk to Andres, and asks him what is going on between you and Carolina. He says “why do you care about that whore?” Raquel says all she wants is to know what is going on with her. Andres lies and says “she came after me and was happy until I had sex with her” Raquel says what are you saying, “that you and she?”
Santi finds Carolina at the gas station she asks him to hug her, “why did you come here” “I don’t want to talk”, Santi agrees and tells her they will talk later
At station Godoy sees Celia taken in to jail for dealing drugs {Patio I don’t see the need for this scene so understand why it was not shown}.
Santi and Carol get back home; Florencia is in the living room playing with Benji. Carol says she is tired and doesn’t even go see Benji (cold hearted). Santi does go to Benji and offers Florencia a ride home. Lola stays with Benji {since Carol is too busy feeling sorry for herself}
Raquel is at home when Damian gets home {after having gone chasing after Carolina} “where were you?” He lies and says he had meetings, Raquel does not believe him. She says “I was talking to Andres, you knew? Or where we both stupidly blind? Did you know Carolina cheated on Santi? Dam’s blood rushes out of his face.

Thanks Sandie! I read the whole thing so I can cover everything I want to cover about both episodes.
If I understood it right it seems like somehow the partnership between Damian and Santiago involved some kind of deal with Saldivar. So it wasn’t just Santiago who made a deal with him. But obviously since Damian was in a coma and now barely waking up, Santiago is left to deal with Saldivar.
If most of the evidence of what happened at the scene of the accident wasn’t laid out already, I would almost think that Carolina killed herself. The reason for that being she’s always taking the gun without Santiago knowing and attempting to use it. It doesn’t seem like she even knows how to wield the gun. If Vicente is crazy for killing their father, she is just as crazy for now wanting to kill Vicente.
Raquel and Lola definitely seem to now have a true mother/daughter relationship. Mia doesn’t appreciate Raquel the way Lola does. And Raquel is always there to listen to Lola unlike Carolina was when she was alive. While losing a child is devastating, Lola has plenty of time to try again and in the meantime enjoy her adolescence. Hopefully she lets Bebo be by her side.

Andres will do whatever he thinks it will take to keep his own secrets. No, he didn't have sex with Carolina; he had tried to rape her and didn't follow through in the end. He's hating that despite that there were no witnesses. It seems that he has always been inadequate in comparison to Damian and he can't deal with that.
Juan's mother went to the hospital and found out about Lola's situation. She went because there is a restraining order. What is bothering me is that he is out loose in the first place. He tried to kill Lola and Bebo so he should not only be locked up he should be in a psych ward. In the giggle jacket.

Some readers have seen these episodes in Mexico when they aired a month ago. It's also easy to see sloppy editing.
Anon 4:03 sorry for confusing you I did not notice I used bold type. Disregard. The only thing I did different was red type. But I write present and past at the beginning of each time period. Blue for past black for present. And red for all deleted scenes.

Sandie: Fabulous with 2 recaps. I had no idea till now just how much they've butchered this TN and why is beyond me because this is the telling part of the show we've been waiting for this entire time.

Thank you Sandie. I watched a summary of the Argentinian version on which the Mexican version is based. That version was only 70 episodes. GG did a very good job of expanding the personalities of the characters and including Mexican cultural background. I won't discuss the story as it seems to be unfolding in basically the same way. Maybe the powers that be think it is running too long and maybe it should have been shorter like the Argentinian one. I could have done with less of the dysfunctional kids such a Mia.

Carvivlie: I think that some parents turn a blind eye to their children's imperfections, evil tendencies, mental issues, anything that indicates this child is not perfect. Juan's mother is most certainly responsible for enable her son. Juan needs psychiatric help if not jail time. He beat up Lola, threatened her life and he gets a slap on the wrist. His mother posted bail for him, that is her "job/responsibility" after all (hope you can detect sarcasm here).
The only other comment I have about the episodes is that we know now who has Santi's dad's gun, the trick is how does it get Damian's finger prints on it. He, as far as we have seen, did not handle the gun at any moment, Vicente has it. We do know that somehow it gets back in it's case, maybe since Carolina says it shot itself, maybe it got back to the case on it's on. (hope you can detect sarcasm here).
The ending is upon us and I for one can't wait.

The Pasado is still at least 10 months away from the "accident" so that pistol could be handled and wiped clean by any number of people before it is ultimately used to kill Carolina.

Urban--lot of kids get nicknames and sometimes their given names don't resurface until grade school and sometimes they get other nicknames. It wouldn't be that hard to start calling a two-year old by another name. My son had a nickname until he started pre-school, then we started using his given name. He was never confused.
Diana--I don't think the police have any say in the matter of bail, although they are they ones who would physically have to let Juan out of his cell and discharge him. Bail would come through the court, with attorneys, prosecutors and a judge. But you are correct. Clearly the biggest error here is in not letting Lola's family know, Lola herself and Raquel. This is merely a plot twist so he can maybe finally be eliminated on the streets. I hope it doesn't go that way since Bebo and Santi are the only ones who might have the burning desire to do away with him.

Anita, thank you for understanding my point even though I don't always get to it directly and/or quite on target. I would have hoped one of the "our" principals would have been told/found out he was being released. I have little faith in "paper work" (paper or computer)and the fact they don't know proves my point. Lynette and Nina--I held off making a duplicate comment about Uni cutting the episodes to finish sooner. Apparently there was much distress among the execs at Televisa and other studios that the telenovelas were getting longer and longer. I think they were already aware of decreasing audiences. They asked the producers to rein them in and to make their productions not more than 100 episodes.
I think the studios have tried to comply, making them tighter with less filler and shorter. That's one reason I'm really angry that Univision STILL feels the need to chop these stories to pieces.
