It can't take the entire series to get Carlos out of jail. It may just be long enough for Elena to figure out how to enlist him in her mission to get Ricardo back.

What I find disturbing about Carlo's rants is "She is mine!" Women are not property. If she had married him he would probably have tried to knock her up and then force her to stay home with a crying baby while he cheated on her with someone who kept her figure by not getting pregnant.

Deadbeat sperm donors have no right to be called fathers. I'm not in favor of Nanny States but I know that in Germany this doesn't happen. If this series were happening there Paco's sperm donor's bank assets would be tapped by the state.

Paco’s grandfather is the one who owns the hardware store. Lupe Sanchez said that Paco’s father doesn’t work, but he receives money monthly from his father’s business, which seems to be successful because the owner is opening another location.

Anyone who is willing to hurt himself as a means to an end is dangerous. Carlos and Elena will definitely be a difficult team. They’re both possessive. Carlos definitely would knock up Alejandra just to keep her tied down, but what’s strange is that Alejandra had quit her job just prior to the botched wedding. Was she going to move on to another job, or was she getting ready to have kids with him at once?

Alonso was looking to hire her and I'll bet that based on her legal skill in the current custody case and the fact that she and Ricardo are total pros in how they are dealing with each other about it she will get the position and Letizia will not get the promotion she thinks she deserves.

I agree that Carlos is dangerous. All you have to do is look at his eyes to know that he is a minion of Satan.

Carlos is calculating and possessive --a deadly potent combination. but not necessarily for the prostitute methinks. I wonder if an angry ex con set Carlos up maybe. I noted the descriptor the public defender's (Juan?) mother used during the discussion about the custody case he with the bio-dad. She used "trastornar"/trastornado [disorder, upset/medical type of disorder/madness/crazy/deranged/unhinged] when mentioning the angst and type of disruption this whole thing was going to cause his/her kid. [I say it would not be pleasant no matter what age.]
 

Ale was probably preparing to be a stay at home wife and mother. Remember, before the Carlos/Hooker revelation came to light, Ale's dad told her not to give up her career and be dependent on Carlos.

Anna Maria told Roberto at the vending machine that she was visiting a "relative," not her boyfriend. This does not speak well of her character or commitment to Leonardo.

If Benjamin lost Mendez' case and then mocked him about it, Alonso should fire him. And Letizia. She seems to do nothing in the office except wear short, tight dresses. That is her lane and she needs to stay in it instead of whining about not being promoted.

Elena is another one who needs to stop whining. Get a job and get a life and stop sitting around the apartment all day gossiping and whining.

I hope they delve into Alonso's personal life and give Paula something else to do except comfort Alejandra and say "ya, ya".

I think Nuria hiding the existence of the child from Daniela is a strike against her with the judge. I also think Nuria would've hidden the child from Daniela had she remained "Daniel."

The actor who portrays "Daniela" is the Televisa hair/makeup specialist.



 

I don't think that Alejandra was planning on getting pregnant, at least not right away. I think the writers had Jaime tell her not to give up her career to show that he recognized her abilities and her right to be more than a wife and mother.

Despite what has just happened to both of them, Alejandra copes much better than Elena does. Although she won't admit this, Elena has a poor sense of self and thinks she's nothing without a man. This is pathetic. From the looks of her apartment I suspect she's a trust fund brat. Nuria might be one as well, but we need more evidence.

If there is going to be a Fashion Felon in this story it will probably be Letizia.
 

BTW, Anon207, Benjamin represented Mendez' ex-wife so some other lawyer from another firm lost that case. Benjamin's behavior was still out of line and he could end up losing his place in that firm anyway.
 

I'm back and two episodes behind. Remembering the comment in the first episode about the reunion of the three Sortilegio actors, don't forget Azela Robinson was also in Sorti, as Maria Jose's bio-mom and in episode two, I got a chuckle out of seeing Arturo Lorca the bumbling chauffeur in Sorti, sitting on the bench deciding whether to let Carlos out on bail. He's interesting because he also worked as a production manager behind the scenes for many of Carla Estrada's best telenovelas.

Thank you for picking out some of the folks from VEA. After CET, it faded into the deep recesses of my mind, better to be filed and forgotten.

UA, thanks for reminding me that she was going to become a Vega associate. Another thing I noticed about Alejandra is that she keeps saying Carlos destroyed her dreams. Is it possible she was actually settling down without really loving him? I'm assuming her dream meant she wanted a family.

Thanks, Urban. Your recap is great and the title itself is award-worthy.

Carlos has some nerve trying to making himself pitiful to tug at Alejandra’s heartstrings. I almost laughed at the way he instigated his beatdown by the thugs. He took quite a risk, they could’ve killed him or messed up that pretty face for life, but then, there’d be no story.

Still trying to remember who's who. This is a big cast and I'm guessing new cases will roll in and roll out regularly.

Anita, welcome back. Looking forward to your take on the goings-on.

When he/she/it first met Ricardo, I was not really paying attention as it started tallking. But it's voice is a little deeper than Ricardo's.
When I glanced back at the TV, I thought I heard Ricardo talking, the lower voice, but the he-she was talking and my beanie spun around a little.
