Papa a Toda Madre Capítulo 90, Friday May 25, 2018; Fabian may never walk again, or will he?

(I’ve named this episode, “Fabian may never walk again” but since this is a TN, I’m banking that he will in a few more episodes have a “miraculous recovery.”)

We begin with Lili and Pablo going apartment hunting. They eye one that is several stories high and looks like a decent place. So they go up to see it. Lili thinks it might be a penthouse, but it turns out to be a single, plain room, like an attic room. Lili is not pleased and you can tell that she does not want to live there. But Pablo has grand ideas about how he can paint the place, put in curtains and plants and make it a lovely place to live for them. Soon Lili is smiling and they kiss.

At Jorge’s Dulce sets the table as Jorge is working on the household budget. It doesn’t look good and he doesn’t look happy. Dulce has a few ideas that don’t sit well with Jorge regarding Lili and Pablo. Jorge walks away saying, “My grandchild will be living here.”

At Neron’s place, Flor is not looking too happy with the extra family members cramping her style and her space. Ciscero puts up a very large portrait of Nerón’s first wife up on the mantle.

Toño and Vero wait for the kids after school and they discuss their personal finances and how they will get through this tight time. Vero says they do have enough money in the bank saved to hold them over for a while. Toño says he can help out with the household budget and bills. Vero says she has always done it, but Toño says he should be helping out with this as well because she does everything else. The children come out happy to see them and they decide to go out for pizza.

Meanwhile, Esperanza sets the table at home and decides to nap on the couch. Toño is calling her on her phone but she doesn’t notice.

Mau goes to visit Fabian at the hospital and asks him why he led everyone to believe that his father is dead. Fabian tells the story that after his mother died, their life at home was a living hell. His father always made him believe that he was responsible for his mother’s death. He also describes how his father had problems with Mau’s father at Logatoys. But Mauricio says that they were business problems. Noel wanted to be the leader, or hero of the business and longed for a lot more recognition. Fabian says that Mau’s father fired Noel from Logatoys, but Mau insists that his father bought out Noel’s part of the partnership. Fabian claims they were left with nothing.

Renée takes a call from a woman who says she has seen Noel boarding a bus at the Metro center.

Jorge sits down his kids (Val, Sam, and Baldo) to tell them he is giving a 2nd shot to his marriage. Samuel is thrilled, but Val is not so thrilled. She asks about Kika and Jorge says they broke up. Then she adds, “Have you forgotten how mom abandoned us all?” Baldo says, “I figured this would happen.” Then Lili walks in with Pablo. Pablo says, “We were together. And I want to talk with you sir.”

Pablo sits down and tells Jorge his plan to keep working at the tire shop to earn money. They tell Jorge about the little one room apartment they found. But Jorge says, “Good intentions are one thing, but reality is another.” Dulce says, “I think we should plan the wedding.” Lili asks if she can go live with Pablo. But Jorge says “no” and that she must wait till she is 18. Then he leaves the room. Then Dulce turns to the couple and says, “I want to help you out.” [Do you get the impression her intentions are less than honorable?]

Back at the hospital, Fabian continues with his story about his father’s supposed death and his finding out that his father was still alive when he was 18. Mau says, “How did he hide for so many years?” Fabian says his father hid to protect his great project on this robot. Mau says, “You mean your dad did this all over ONE SINGLE TOY?” Fabian affirms, “Yes, for one toy, that’s it.” Mau looks incredulous.

At the pizza place, Vero tells Toño that when he called his mother and she didn’t answer, that right thing for him to have done would have been for him to drive over and get her. Vero doesn’t think it was right for them to enjoy pizza while she is stuck at home. They also have a conversation with Tania, who wants to play fútbol and cut her hair short. Toño says no, but Vero says, “It’s her hair and it’s her decision.” Vero doesn’t like his chauvinism, so she says, “Would you like a little arsenic with that pizza?” Then they realize Fidelito didn’t come to the table so Vero and Toño go off to search for him.

Esperanza finally gets up from her nap and hears her son’s message that they were going out to dinner. She is disappointed and says, “Now, why didn’t they come and get me?” As she picks up the dinner plates from the table to put away, she calls them, “Miserable ingrates.” Clearly she is disappointed in how she is being treated as a servant and not a valued member of the family.

At Nerón’s house, Ciscero is throwing his weight around as though this was his home saying he is used to eating at a certain time and expects dinner. One of the kids says, “Yes, Grandma, get the tacos out for us.” Flor asks where they are going to get the money to feed so many mouths. Cisero says, “Well what can feed two can feed six.” [Really???] Ciscero says his Socorro can help with all the cooking. Flor does not want the kids to call her “abuela” but Floribón instead.

At the metro station, Ariel helps Renée put up the “missing” posters of Noel. They ask around if anyone has seen him.

The Barrientos family arrives home but Esperanza says she wants to go to the movies. She is pretty angry about being cooped up in the house all day! But the kids guilt their grandmother into staying home with them.

At Nerón and Flor’s place, the family eats dinner. As Flor feeds Milady, she tells Nerón about how they are out of food. No eggs, no tortillas, no onion! She wants him to go the store to pick up some more food. Cisero starts giving orders about various things and says he needs to borrow money from Nerón. Flor asks the children to take their plates to the kitchen sink. But the kids say, “But our mom always does this for us, Grandma!” Not pleased with this response, Flor says, “Hey, your abuelita is that lady in the portrait.  I am FLORIBÓN!” They continue to refer to her as “abuelita”. Cisero continues with his machismo behavior, not even allowing Socorro to sit down and eat. Flor is not happy with any of this behavior in front of her and starts saying how the children can take their plates to the sink and wash dishes.

Ani visits Fabian at the hospital and she asks her mother to lift her up so she can give Fabian a “good luck” kiss for the operation. Fabian’s lawyer has Maria sign a document that she will not file charges against him regarding the “accident.” Apparently, this is for “Ani’s sake.”

At Renée’s house, Rod and Rafa excitedly tell Renée how they are going to find out about a child they may adopt. Ariel comes in and Renée is a little wistful. She tells Ariel she is worried about Fabian’s surgery.

At the orphanage, Rod and Rafa visit with the director. Some kids come running through and one boy takes Rafa’s cell phone.

Jorge meets with Vero and Toño to explain that their lawsuit against their workplace for unlawful termination will not be easy. He says it’s a long process and the company will seek to wear them out so that they will settle.

Outside in the waiting room at the hospital, Mau tells Ani that he is sending her home with her mother. But Ani is insistent and says she is staying. They banter back and forth with Ani’s strong willed, “I’m not going!” Finally, Renee tells her it’s better for her to stay with her mother and Ani relents. Maria appears, says, “Good luck” and takes Anifer with her. Mau sits down with Renée and they reminisce about when Ani had been in the hospital. This was during the time when Mau and Kika were together and Renée mocks Kika’s voice and says, “Ay mi Mau tan bello.” They are laughing together when Ariel appears and breaks things up. Ariel says, “I thought I’d come down and keep you company.” So Mau offers him a seat and also offers to get him coffee or tea.

Dulce approaches Baldo and says, “Oh Baldo, just so that we are on the same page, do you say that you will receive your trust fund you plan to live by yourself?” Baldo answers yes and that he wants to go back to Tijuana. Then Dulce offers to when he gets his trust fund, if it is not enough to help him out with more money. Baldo looks at her and says, “Boy, you sure are in a hurry to get rid of me, aren’t you?” Dulce, [who reminds me of a snake who is about to strike and bite, letting loose the venom] starts to say, “Oh let me demonstrate my good will here.” Baldo just shakes his head and walks away.
After Fabian’s surgery, the doctor confirms the prognosis: Fabian will most likely never walk again.” Both Renée and Mau ask the doctor if any rehab or anything else might help Fabian. But the doctor is adamant and tells them several other doctors already confirmed the same prognosis for Fabian.  They both ask if they can see Fabian, but the doctor says he is in the recovery room and will need to be watched the rest of the night and tells them to both go home.

Esperanza sits down with Vero and Toño. She tells them of her unhappiness and then finally says what is bothering her. She thinks that they are afraid to leave her alone with the children. Toño begs her forgiveness.

Cisero is sitting around with his boys watching movies. Nerón comes in and makes comments about how these movies aren’t for children, but Cisero disagrees. Nerón says the children should not be up this late and should go to bed. They start making a lot of noise and Flor gets upset because they are waking Milady. This is not a good situation as Nerón notices how his son is raising the children. [Put on your cajónes, Nerón and tell your son what you really think! I’ve seen you get angry before, why not now?]

At Mau’s place, he tells Ani that she shouldn’t be up so late. Maria says she refused to go to sleep until she found out how Fabian is. Mau says, “he didn’t die, in some ways, he is cured, but he will never walk again.” “Never?” says Ani. “so where will he live?” Ani thinks Fabian should move to “La Privada.”

Renée and Ariel come back home and she is worried about leaving for Maryland with the current situation concerning Fabian and looking for Noel. She doesn’t want to dump her studies, but at the same time, she’s tied up with this emergency. She feels the right thing to do for a while is to help Fabian adjust to his new life.

Jorge gets ready for bed and Dulce is waiting for him. He turns off the lamp and climbs into bed. Dulce thinks she is going to have her way with him, but he turns on his side and feigns falling asleep, pretending to snore.

Sorry, only one picture today. Been too busy this week and tonight I had a counseling emergency, spending 2 hours on the phone. But I got the job done!

Wow Cynthia...two hours on the phone. I've done those two hour stints (although not on the phone) and they are exhausting. So glad you were able to help the person find a healthy resolution.

Very uncomfortable watching the invasion of Flor and Neron's home. I have had some unwanted guests and remember how helplessly angry I felt until at last they were once again on their way. A terrible feeling.

I guess I'm as gullible as the telenovela dorks because I'm buying Fabian's repentance. At this point, Dulce seems to be the only bad guy. But I'm often naive about people's motives.

Temperature is heating up here in the Midwest but it's a lovely morning to start. Hope the Patio has a lovely and safe holiday. Heading out to babysit later. Best job in the world! (at least it is with just one baby)

A counseling emergency. God bless you Cynthia, as I understand what you do. It is the people like you who neutralize the Fabians of the world. Thank You for everything.

Weather update: Our rain which had been near continuous for the last two weeks let up for two days and now has returned as Alberto Asinine Alsoran tries to flex his watery muscles down South. Punk.

Is there a man in this show who actually has a pair? Neuron has been invaded and is suddenly a shrinking violet. There is absolutely nothing wrong with publishing the rules and enforcing them. Siszero would already be at the shelter or living in a car. Flor may be 'in remission', but she still has cancer and is still ill, as an aside.

Pablo was sleeping in the Fixin' Flats' shop, that looks more appropriate for Siszero and the HillBillies. Just power down all the tools.

Mau arguing with Anifer about leaving Fabian's room? Just call security, she is not supposed to be there anyway. From what I see here in FloriDuh, the non parenting of Anifer is pretty accurate.

Aerial: Does nobody bitch slap any more? Oh I forgot, about the gelding. TeeHee :-) Nevermind, Mau couldn't beat up one of those Socker Bopper inflatable toys with the weight in the bottom. Actually if I remember right that toy hot air balloon got the best of that round previously.

Has anybody else noticed that Jorge is a confused, nutless blithering idiot? Kika, if you are reading this, WHAT did you ever see in him? Huh? I can't put THAT on Caray. Yeah, that's what I thought.

Welcome to parenting Rafa. You have no idea sweetie. It is not all unicorns, baby pictures and lollipops.

On a good day, and the deck is stacked against you, like it or not.

Tono and Vero are bipolar. Turds too. Irresponsible, selfish, and their careers, if they ever existed outside of smoke and mirrors, are over. Suit for wrongful discharge? When frigging pigs fly. Jorge should have told them they were Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs right then and there.

"So you were wrongly fired for stealing this expensive gizmo from your employer?"
"Yep, I didn't actually steal it."
"Oh, how's that, you had it in your car."

"Yeah, but the guards stopped me at the gate, and I never made it off the company property, so I didn't succede in stealing it, I just moved it."

Bacon in the Heavens.

Cynthia, thank you for the excellent recap but the real highlight for me were your comments. You have left me laughing this morning. : )

The truth was revealing itself across the board last night.

Nerón had better wise up with his loutish son who made a crack about at least being around to be with his kids. Nerón should remind him he was out making a living which Cicerón does not look particularly eager to do. Maybe his guilt is making him into a wimp. He has a new family now. Things aren’t the same. It is no longer Cicerón’s family refuge. Is Nerón supposed to support his grown son, too? Don’t think so. If he doesn’t remove Cicerón and family, it would not surprise me if Flor heads for the door with Milady in tow.

Blah blah blah. How long until Fabián reveals that he has not changed one bit? Did María even read what she signed??????

Ariel looked rather deflated after Renée made the comment about her familial commitments in Mexico maybe keeping her from her studies.

Esperanza needs to just pack her bags and go. Toño and Verónica can pay for childcare. Toño takes her for granted. She knows it. So, why play the game? He is an adult.

Come to think of it we have three older parents trying to deal with adult children and they, except for Noél, have been wimps so far allowing their adult children to take advantage of them.

JudyB, yes it is a beautiful morning but had to put the air on last night. We will be in the nineties for the next couple of days. Enjoy your babysitting!

Kirby, here is hoping Alberto doesn’t drop too much rain on you. What a bummer and right at the start of hurricane season! Yes, Jorge just gets more unlikeable with every episode. By the way, anotherb great photo. You posted so many beauties this week.

"Esperanza needs to just pack her bags and go." Yesterday, or more like last week. It is not like she has nowhere to go, she has her own home, probably where Tono was reared? and her same age friends. She must have neighbors she has probably been friends with for years.

Loveable as all that barnyard rutting at work was, Vero and Tono are both jerks.

Who was it who said that "People will treat you like you allow them to treat you."? Oh that was me. forgetit

Jarifa, thanks. When the soap opera goes down I have to compensate with some higher quality photos. :-)

This is a better shot of the same two Lovebirds.

So are we naming Kirby's two lovebirds Vero and Toño? Pablo and Lili? Definitely not Jorge and Kika. Awwww...let's get on board and go with Mauricio and Renée.

Diana, sorry to be on opposite sides amiga. I'm really happy the Cavs and LeBron won last night. My big worry now is whether LeBron was injured in that collision with Nance.

Yes, we're headed for the nineties too Jarifa. I'm okay with that as long as I'm just sitting around. But housework and yardwork, whew. Turn on the air-conditioning and wait for evening to pull weeds and clip hedges.

Aw! The outline of their heads and necks looks like a heart. Clever.

JudyB, so glad I have no yard work. Take it easy!

Yeah Jarifa, I dream of going back to those good ol' apartment days. But really don't have the energy to pack up and move either. Some day...

Pulling weeds is easy right now, as they can't seem to get much of a grip in that MUD !

Gardening in the rain.

Neighbors new puppy decided to dig a hole (in my yard) and must have been planning on burying the family CAR, so while everything was nice and mushy I went out this morning and put the (now mud) back where it came from.

Adorable little mutt though.

Can't fool kids and dogs.

:-)

Flor has left with MiLady before, right? I remember our thinking she had set herself up pretty nicely on short notice.
I wonder if she can get her boob modeling job back? So she is not afraid of leaving, and who would blame her for extricating herself and baby from that circus we saw last night?

I wouldn't let that Cistern crowd move in with me without spraying them for parasites first.

The nerve of having people drop off his stuff? When you move in your stuff that is not for a couple of days. Otherwise it is not worth the effort to move it back out in a few.

Sunshine. Beautiful birds. Excellent recap. Clever comments. All is well.

Cynthia, not much to smile about last night but a different story today. So very well done as always.

"Then Dulce turns to the couple and says, “I want to help you out.” [Do you get the impression her intentions are less than honorable?]" and "Dulce, [who reminds me of a snake who is about to strike and bite, letting loose the venom]" made me grin and nod in vigorous agreement. Great fun.

"Baldo looks at her and says, “Boy, you sure are in a hurry to get rid of me, aren’t you?”. Frightening and disconcerting that surly Baldo is the only one sensing the snake in the grass.

"Invasion" is the perfect word to describe Neron's son and his brood. The selfish, self-centered chauvinist is not winning points with Flor. Disappointed Neron is standing there embarrassed and stone silent. Their kids are making Baldo look like a saint.

Further, "Flor may be 'in remission', but she still has cancer and is still ill, as an aside". You're right Kirby which only adds to the puzzlement over Neron's non action.

Incredibly selfish of Tono and Vero not to pick up Esperanza for dinner. Indentured servitude stopped quite some time ago.

"Blah blah blah. How long until Fabián reveals that he has not changed one bit? Did María even read what she signed??????" Hear, hear Jarifa. No need to say more, you said it perfectly! Don't believe he has changed a bit!

I had to smile at Pablo and Lili adding curtains to their new abode. Was it just me or was there only a few inches of window a the top of the room?? It might be liveable if Kika were able to decorate it.

No sparkle, no shine last night as Kika the sunshine is gone.

Cynthia, thanks for doing this despite being so busy.

Diana

I see with dismay I didn't give you credit for your "invasion" comment Judy!

OT, in game 2 of the Cavs/Celtics series, LeBron arrived 10 hours early at the Boston Garden. 10 hours. You have to admire his dedication.

That said, what I love about the Celtics is that this is truly a team. No stars, just a bunch of men who are fearless and determined. Tatum and Brown are 20 and 21, yet their poise is remarkable. There is no boasting, no showboating.

So can David beat Goliath? Tomorrow night we will find out. I'm not going to want to miss a minute.

Diana

I saw a new preview of Beauty and the Beast last night.

Woof I'm In..........................

Thank you for your "recrap", Cynthia, and the snark! I’ll get to watch this later today, after I get my yard work done before the rain hits. (yay ….) This telenovela is getting on my last nerve. If it wasn't for The Patio, I would have bailed out before now. Misery loves company . . . LOL

Dulce will now try to convince Jorge they had sex and she is pregnant. #telenovelatrope #telenovelarules

Cicero hanging the portrait would have been the last straw for me.

How is it thay these people keep sneaking Ani into the hospital??? Just reinforcing to a small child that rules are good, but they do not apply to us. Argh!!!

”Fabian continues with his story about his father’s supposed death and his finding out that his father was still alive when he was 18” Waaaaiiiiitttt a minute! Then who raised this sociopath? The hired household help? Oh, wait, they were broke. He must have raised himself. Gah.

Ani truly is her bio-dad’s daughter --- “ I have an idea --- so it must be right --- and I want it done my way … now!”

Toño and Vero have never been very financially responsible. I recall they took that expen$ive family vacation early in this telenovela and did not have the money to pay for it.

Kirby: Jorge is a jackass! He derseves to get stuck with Dulce.

I'm hoping Kika finds somebody else!

Instead of telenovela, Hubby and I watched some real quality TV last night --- a family favorite, Mel Brooks' movie "Young Frankenstein." Great stuff! Telenovela writers could take some lessons. I had forgotten "Elizabeth"'s (Madeline Kahn) famous one-liner --- "Woof!" --- that Kirby quotes so often. ;-)

But can she wag her tail like I do?

Just a thought: Fakian surely seems concerned about non-health related issues to be laying in a hospital bed wondering if he will ever leave.

Well, I’m done with yard work for the day. Got the roses dead-headed, sprayed for black spot. While doing the weekly RoundUp spraying of weeds, I felt something under the toe end of my shoe. It was ...... Dulce!!!!! 🐍. OMG, I was stepping on a friendly garden snake’s tail and he was trying to escape. 18-24” long and not exaggerating. I apologized to it (really, I did-LOL), then backed away while my skin was crawling. I’m done for the day. I need chocolate. 🐍 Might need to make a donut run. Yeeesh. Maybe he will eat some of the voles and chipmunks out there.😛😛😛

Doris..pictures?

Kirby - ha! Google eastern garter snake or ribbon snake. Def. one of the good guys.

Cynthia, thank you for such an excellent retelling of a not-so-great episode. Your recap was much more fun than watching the show. And I hope you are over your Bell's palsy!

Wow, what a lot of really bad behavior and stupidity last night. I kept thinking that Cicerón couldn't really be that loutish, that this wouldn't pass in real life. But then I had second thoughts, and that was even more depressing.

Nerón better put his foot down soon, before our lovely but ever feisty Floribón puts hers down, possibly on his neck.

Jorge is even crazier. He let Dulce talk him into giving their marriage a second chance? And then sleeps in the same bed with her? Gee, Jorge, have a nice, relaxed, and restful night... or just give up completely and go over to the Dark Side, Kika was just a dream anyway.

andy

Help all.

Cynthia, thank you for the snappy recap. I am amazed that you fit it in while also doing that truly worthwhile counseling .

I, too, am enjoying a nice, sunny, clear day sitting on my own patio gazing at the huge pink rhododendren that reaches up to our roof and pushes further into my washline every year. I wish I knew how to send a picture. It is gorgeous , but like the huge forsythia, it does not last very long.

Doris, hub just killed a snake when he was working on the pool. With woods on three sides and a creek behind us, we have lots of wildlife.

Everybody is now dealing with more problems. I think that Dulce bothers me the most. Could she be implicated with her lover?

Kirby..keep your eye on Alberto . My daughter and her two little girls are heading to Disney next week. Looks like lots of rain. Too bad.

Help all....was supposed to be ...hello all. Thanks tablet.

Susy, Alberto should be a memory by midweek, I have not seen the current movement, but if he ambles along at normal speed, he will be out of reach of us by Tuesday or Wednesday. I am just down the highway about an hour or two and due West from MouseLand. So whatever I am seeing will be happening the same time on the Mouse, but not with as much vigor.

The city of Tampa already has sandbag locations operating, but I think a lot of that is just for the positive publicity it sheds on the city and most importantly, the pompous, posturing self serving politicians, who make it a point to be on TV 24-7 when there is as much as a new fire ant mound assuring us that they are spending our money wisely.

Kirby...I just saw that your govenor has already declared a state of emergency.

Drop-in, "fringe" relatives: "Hi! We're on vacation and decided it was a good time for a visit to California. We'll be here a week or two, visit Disneyland, the beach, etc!" (Clearly planning on staying with us ... just assuming we are at their beck and call.)

Me: "Oh, good! I hope you enjoy your stay and that you got a good deal on your hotel! Next time you're in town, give us some notice so we can meet you for lunch at your hotel or something. We're on our way out of town, so let us know how it all goes." ( as we usher them out the door. We weren't going anywhere.)

Just finished watching this episode. Cicerón’s wife seems just plain worn-out and beaten down by his machista behavior. Maybe Flor will show her that she doesn’t have to live like that. #choices

Alberto will reach us Tuesday night and leave Thursday. Oy vey.

Susanlynn: We're closer to Gran Final yet ?

"declared a state of emergency."

Of course, he is term limited and running for the US Senate.

In FloriDuh they can only serve two consecutive terms, then must sit out one term.

Like in football where you might have a concussion, you have to miss one play from scrimmage.

Anon: Clever, very clever.

Steve: Nooo, we are actually getting farther away. :-)

Dulce's scheme seems to involve the mantra "just keep on setting the table."

Good Afternoon, Patio! And Cynthia, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to grace us with another of your superb recraps (luurve that word...recrap...hehehe)

I have to agree that Dulce is right up there with FabUrNot who, BTW, I think is doing an Oscar winning performance (just like Dulce) at making everyone think he has changed. How stupid are these people not to see how he is manipulating them into covering HIS ass!

I don't believe a word of FabUrNot's story that he didn't know about his father's fake death until he was 18. Maybe it's just me, but I don't believe one word that comes out of his mouth...about anything. If he told me the sky is blue, I'd probably have doubts.

I do hope Flor knocks some sense into Cissy's wife's head. I am a true believer in the saying that they only get away with as much as you let them. She allows it, so it's gonna continue...and probably get worse.

Geez, every time I read a comment about "Alberto," our patio Alberto comes to mind and I think "Wait! What!" then I continue reading and realize you all are talking about the storm! My mind is mush and my body feels like it matches :-D

Who can say no to a girl who lays the plates down like that.?

Yeah I get Alfredo and Alberto mixed up too. :-)

So up all night doing something that would make farm animals blush.? RGV?

With a rifle?

FWIW, I just checked on Alberto and he is supposed to be all the way to landfall on the Ala Ms Gulf coast Monday, far North of Disney.

I suspect it is much ado about nothing, as there is not any new catastrophe in the past few days. They need something, as the news goes on whether there is news or not, even if they have to manufacture some.

LOL, Kirby, like I said, my mind you is mush. I wish I were doing something late at night that would make the animals blush, but noooo...just trying to sleep lightly in order to hear if my chickens are squawking with fear.

:-D

That's what I suspected, IE rifle.

I wish I were doing something late at night that would make the animals blush, but noooo...

Kirby, you can read this as:
What happens in the RGV, stays in the RGV.

:-)

I'm beginning to figure it out.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I truly appreciate them. My Bell's Palsy is still visible and my smile still crooked and I still cannot auto-blink my left eye. But everything is better and thankfully the fatigue is gone. All in all, I am quite improved. The counseling emergency went well, I spoke with the woman today and she is feeling better about her circumstances and ready to set boundaries.

I keep thinking that I'm going to see Fabian miraculously get up, like a monster that you can't get rid of. I do not buy that he has changed a bit. So why make make Maria sign those papers of he is never going to walk again. I just don't trust him at all. I trust Fabian about as far as I can throw him.

Oh and I guess I got the name Cicerón wrong. I kept typing it without the 'n' at the end of the name. Oh well. But what an awful character he is. So demanding and so machismo and so LAZY!

I don't know why the writers of this show think it's cute for Anifer to be talking back and demanding her way. It just makes me want to give her a spanking. (And no, not abusively).

I still can't figure out why Jorge allowed Dulce in his bed. Please send her to the two star hotel like Kika originally suggested. He needs a backbone.

Andy, What happens in the RGV, stays in the RGV You’re so smart! Do you take smart pills?

:-)
:-)

Rgv Chickie: Andy, What happens in the RGV, stays in the RGV You’re so smart! Do you take smart pills?

Chickie, yes, I do! Are they finally having an effect? Here I was beginning to think they were just a waste of money like those magic beans I bought back when I was a kid.

:-)

andy

You two are funny! Thanks for making me smile this morning. Cynthia, so glad that you feel so much better and that the follow up with your caller was positive.

Goooooood Mooooorning Patio!

Goooood Mourning Patty Oh! I trust everything is cool in the Chicken Ranch?

:-)

BTW, this 'Alfredo' out in the Gulf can't even blow up a decent thunderstorm. I've been through scarier weather out on the water. It is just mildly breezy and a light drizzle.

Susy your Daughter and little ones should not see any bad weather. Little Alby is about even with us,Latitude wise ( North/South) and now the weather people are admitting the weather could be fairly clear by tomorrow. Hrmpff

WJKJ 50,000 watts on the Suncoast

Great photo and the blue sky is a knockout Kirby.

Sigh...remembering Robin Williams this morning. We could have used a little of his zaniness to make this "comedy" more comic. But instead we had to rely on our witty Patio!

Now "Chicken Ranch" is another matter...

”He (Jorge) needs a backbone.”. The first time I read this, I thought it said “backhoe”. That works for me! 😉

Thanks, Cynthia. Terrific recap. Hope you're getting a lot of rest now.

Come on, Neron. We know you can put your son in his place. So hop to it.

He already has his Front Hoe setting the table every thirty minutes.

:-) I was not sure how many people would know about the Chicken Ranch.

Cynthia, so glad to hear that you are feeling better.

Patty Oh, smart pills, magic beans, backhoe, backbone...

What a great way to start the day.

I join Judy and Niecie in being happy that you are feeling better and your fatigue is gone Cynthia.

I was thinking of Madeline the last few days. Remembering her with great affection. Appreciation to her and to all who served. You have our thanks and remembrance.

I wish you all a good day with a blue sky as vivid as in Kirby's avatar.

Diana

Diana,

I think that Madeline might still be hanging around here!!! I heard a song today that I am dedicating to kiki... "Bad Mama jama". Perhaps channeling our dear Madeline !

Bad Mama Jama is a perfect song for Kika Diana. I'm sure Madalyn was whispering in your ear. And signing off by saying "I'll be back in just a tick."

Oh yeah, Madeline is here. What precious memories of her earworms.

Thanks to Madeline and all the men and women who have sacrificed serving in the military, keeping us free to enjoy our freedoms (including hanging out at Carayers)! Forever grateful on this Memorial Day.

"I'll be back in just a tick" - OMG, yes Judy! Perfect.

I wish I had come up with Bad Mama Jama but Susanlynn had that inspired thought.

Niecie, "Forever grateful". Indeed.

Well, our Celts did not prevail so I must congratulate the Cavs.

Wishing all of you the best today. And every day.

Diana

Niecie...well said.

I did not follow the basketball games, but Hub just showed me a headline that our high school baseball beat Central Catholic in the district playoffs!!!! Hub is very proud !! And at the diner last night I was watching Old Miss play LSU!!!

On!y one nice, sunny day this holiday weekend. ..Saturday. Today is even cooler and more dismal than yesterday. Boo.

If anyone is interested, it looks like Uni is showing La Tempestad reruns this afternoon.

Good ol' William Levy in his tight white pants. And the other guy in his dreadful fire engine red ones. No wonder Levy got the girl.

Sorry about the Celts Diana, but I'm a Cavs fan, so can't be too sorry.

Judy, yes, I remember both pairs of pants...the red and the tight, white, wet ones. Didn't Mr. Red pants have some kind of huge glass vases on his table that Carlos was always expecting him to shatter? And remember crazy Esther?

Yes Susanlynn...I think those huge vases were around his house...or maybe the patio. And with his anger management problem, well...
JudyB
Sure do miss Carlos on the blog line
