Papá a Toda Madre, Episode 81, 5/14/2018: Guess Who’ s Comin’ to Dinner…

Alt Title: Careful What You Wish For, Pabs!

In his rat hole, Isauro chides Dulce for not answering her phone and asks where she has been all day long. She left him without eating and she knows very well that he can’t go out on the streets (only to kidnap girls??). When he asks her what time she will be returning, Dulce tells him she won’t be returning at all; he will never see her again in his life (one good thing going for Isaurotten). Isauro accuses her of having looked for someone else already since he can’t give her the life of luxury she likes. (He just finished that book, 'If they will do for you, they will do it to you'?) She then tells him that she looked into his phone and saw everything he was doing with Valentina. She also saw the messages to his associates and saw that, fortunately, none of his plans panned out. As he starts to tell her that she knows nothing, the cops bang on the door and call out his name. Isauro curses Dulce; and Dulce tells him that this time his influential contacts won’t be able to help him; she hopes he rots in jail. The cops kick open the door and arrest Isauro (Bye, Bye! Snow White, your snow will soon be mush!).

In Los Angeles, Pablo and Melina enter her home which is not that big, but she is sure Pablo will sleep better on the couch than at the restaurant. After he asks her to tell him more about his father, Melina thinks that it is best that Pablo wait until he can talk to his father himself. Pablo just wants to know how he is, what he is doing, and if he talks about his family back in Guatemala. Melina assures her that his father does often remember him and his brothers. When Melina asks, “…If you had your father in front of you (Hint? Hint?), what would you tell him?” Pablo replies, “I would tell him that I would not reproach him for anything. On the contrary, what I care about is to know that he is well. And I want to tell him that I am going to be a father, too.” Melina asks about the mother of his child, so Pablo explains that Lili stayed in Mexico. That is why he urgently needs to find his father. Depending on what he says, Pablo might stay; and if that happens, he wants Lili to come with him so their baby can be born there. Melina just doesn’t know what to say to Pablo. Pablo jokingly tells her to tell him what everybody tells him—that he is dumb; if she is thinking the same thing, she won’t be offending him. (Just because you can't smell a rat the size of Tijuana doesn't make you dumb, even if it is two feet away?) Melina, however, tells him that she can see that he is being very responsible and that speaks well of him; she is sure his father will be very proud of him when he sees him. Pablo then excuses himself if he sounds nosy, but would like to know what relation Melina has with his father. Melina can only tell him that she is someone very close. (I mean Pabs, our names even start with the same three letters; now that's close, kid.)
Esperanza arrives at Vero and Toño’s house. All the kids run and hug her very happy to see her. When Toño tells her that her bed is ready in Tania’s bedroom as always, he adds a “but” and hesitates; so Esperanza tells him not to beat around the bush. Vero then explains that they are thinking of remodeling the house. Esperanza thinks it’s a great idea because the house really could use it. After Toño explains that the remodeling is not to make improvements, but to add a room for her, Esperanza gives them a questioning look, so Vero adds that she hopes it isn’t too hasty, but they do hope that she stays with them forever…but it is her decision. Esperanza remains speechless and skeptical… (You heard right Espy, your Looney Tunes Son wants you to live with him and Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs. Then they can sell your house and buy more crack.)

At Logatoys, Gladys is checking on the preps for the presentation; and as she turns around, lets out a screech when she sees three fish lips (Mau, Renée, and Toño) pressed on the glass window. After they enter, they plead with her and Mau assures her that she has a job at the Cooperative…he’ll give her a raise, vacations and he’ll even massage her bunions…though he’s only kidding about the massage! Gladys finally agrees to the new salary and job, but she isn’t doing it for the money. Mau then comments that they all know that under that thick, hard bitterness…there is a true Mexican heroine. (Did SuperKik give her notice?) Everyone cheers as Gladys waves and jigs around happily (not as impressive as Jorge’s moves).
In Los Angeles, Pablo hangs up with Nerón when Melina enters and asks if everything is alright in Mexico. Pablo responds that everything is fine. When he tells her that she hasn’t really told him anything about his father and asks if she might be pulling his leg, Melina assures him she wouldn’t do that. Pablo explains that he is getting anxious; if she doesn’t know anything more about his father, she should just tell him so he can look elsewhere. Melina then asks Pablo to sit down and tells him that she took the liberty of telling his father that he is waiting for him, but his father told her to tell him to go back to Mexico and not do to his son and woman what he had done to them…abandon them. Pablo wonders if his father is not willing to see him at least once...to face him. Melina responds that his father can’t at this time; he really can’t. She then hands him a letter from his father. Pablo quickly opens the letter and recognizes his father’s handwriting. He reads it and confirms that his father wants him to return to Mexico. Pablo still wants to know why his father didn’t want to see him…why he didn’t face him; so Melina states that his father is no longer that person he knew; he has changed very much…so much that if he had him in front of him, he wouldn’t recognize him. That is why his father doesn’t want to see him; the only thing he wants is that Pablo return to Mexico and forget about him…which is exactly what his father has done; he has forgotten about him. (Oh Boy. Sometimes things look really bad...because they are!)
At Jorge’s house, Jorge and the kids are at the table waiting for the special guest. Sammy and Baldo are clueless about who it could be while Valentina already knows and Lili has a pretty good idea. Jorge explains that, for some time now, he has had a relationship with a marvelous, incredible woman who has changed his life and made him a better man. After he tells them that he has decided that it would be best for him to have a woman at his side, the doorbells rings. (Jaws Music) Excited that she has arrived, Jorge gets up to answer the door, only to find…wait for it…DULCE!! Jorge is NOT pleasantly surprised (and the ‘sweet’ taste in his mouth turns sour)…

At Logatoys, Falcón presents the visionary (Cough! Cough!) owner of Logatoys to a group of business people. Fabian starts his introduction telling them that Logatoys continues to have the classic family values, but it is now time that they move forward to the new age in the world of toys. As he brags about how innovative the toy is, Gladys goes quickly to open the door for the three misfits. As Fabián mentions that the robot can be like another member of the family, the party crashers arrive and stand behind the investors. One businessman questions whether the robot could really be a family member and another one comments that it is not a toy; it is more like a home appliance. Fabián gets annoyed, but before he responds, Mauricio interjects that Anitoys, his new company, has a toy much different and more appropriate for the market. Fabián orders Falcón to call security, (Once) but Mauricio continues that they make toys because they truly love children; that is why he wants to present the “Brazilete Májico” (Magic Bracelet)…because they want fun to never cease…fun for all the public of all ages. After Mau tells Toño to start the presentation, Renée interjects that this is an original toy from Anitoys… not like the robot they stole from her…that robot is a shameless plagiarism. Fabián stands rigid and gives Renée a killer look.
At Jorge’s house, Dulce hugs Sammy who tells her he has missed her so much. She then goes to Valentina who is standing coldly with her arms crossed, but hugs her anyway. When Jorge asks what she is doing there, Dulce responds that she has come to take back her family; she should have never left and regrets it very much. Jorge remarks that it’s a little late for that and suggests that they go elsewhere to talk by themselves. Dulce, however, looks at Baldo and Lili and wonders who they are; so Sammy tells her that they are their siblings. Dulce questions Jorge, so he admits that Lili and Baldo are the children he had with Yuriria.
At Logatoys, Fabián lashes out that what Renée claims is ridiculous; he can prove that his robot is not plagiarized. His design is based on a plan that belonged to his father who died many years ago. Mau thinks that’s a wonderful story, but tells Fabián to shut up so he can finish presenting his product. Fabián shouts out to security (Twice) so that they can take the intruder. Mau snidely points out that Fabián called him an intruder…after all they have gone through together; they would even call each other brothers. Mauricio continues his presentation and tells the group that this toy has games from yesterday and today; it has games like those that the children’s parents played. Fabián asks the group to ignore Mauricio since he has nothing to offer them; though the group really likes the bracelet. After Fabián tells Mauricio that he is going to have him kicked out of there, (Three Times) Mauricio thanks him for the opportunity to let him speak and tells the group that the toy is universal and can be used anywhere. Fabián blows a gasket and shouts out to security (Four) and tells Falcón to get security (Fifth time) to take Mauricio out.
In Los Angeles, Pablo cries that he doesn’t understand anything. All his father says in the letter is that Pablo should forget about him because he has made a new life for himself and that his mother and brothers are not part of that life…how can he understand that? Melina reiterates that his father has changed very much. Pablo acknowledges that is what his father has written—that he had to change when he came to the US and in order to survive he had to start over…from zero. He also tells him that if he doesn’t want to see him, it’s to protect him…Pablo wonders what he should be protected from. Melina doesn’t know, but if that is what his father is asking him to do, Pablo should obey him. Pablo thinks Melina is lying to him and pleads with her to tell him the truth. When he asks if his father has a new family or is into drugs, Melina responds that all she can say is that when Melchor arrived there he changed very much; so much that Pablo would not recognize him. Pablo chides her for repeating what she has already told him and demands the truth, but Melina insists that he should forget about his father and go back to Mexico; he should go back to his woman and take care of his baby. Pablo retorts that he didn’t go through the dangers of crossing over just to go back just like that; he isn’t leaving until his father faces him and tells him everything he said in the damned letter. He tells her to tell his father that he isn’t going back to Mexico until they meet face to face! (Careful, Pabs.)

At Logatoys, Gladys asks Renée what they are looking for; so Renée explains that since Kika didn’t find any worthwhile information in Fabián’s laptop, she needs to look in Falcón’s laptop because surely he will have something there. When Renée sees that the laptop requires a password, she groans in frustration and decides to take it with her. Gladys is dismayed, but Renée justifies that they assaulted her to steal her laptop and she is sure Falcón helps Fabián so “thief shall steal from thief!” Gladys smiles as she remembers the rest of the saying, “and will have a hundred years of pardon!” Just then, security comes in and tells Gladys that the young lady doesn’t have permission to be there. Gladys pretends to be dismayed and tells security that she was just about to call them to come take Renée out. Renée voluntarily walks out as security follows.
Meanwhile, in the presentation room, the investors ask that Mauricio not be taken away, but Mauricio calms them down and hands them instructions on how to see the video from their homes; it is also on social media and You-Tube. Fabián continues to order security (Six times, is security awake?) to take Mauricio out of there. In the background and as he leaves, Mauricio shouts, “Viva Magic Bracelet! Peace and Love!” Once Mauricio is gone, Fabián apologizes for the disruption and hopes that they don’t fall for his ex-associate’s shenanigans. He explains that Mau was his friend until he sent them into bankruptcy with his unviable projects. The investors, though, think that the bracelet is more viable…much more so than the robot; and it’s more economical. After Fabián asks for a chance to present his robot, one of the businessmen points out, “Wasn’t it Mauricio who launched the Papa/Mama?” Fabián confirms that he did, but adds that Mauricio only received the recognition…he didn’t do all the work. He (Fabián) worked several years on tracking the excesses and gains, just so Mauricio could receive the recognition…but that is over. Fabián then continues his presentation only to see Toño handing out more fliers about the bracelet. Fabián gets frustrated and yells to Falcón to kick Toño out of there or sweep the streets with his body.

At Jorge’s house, Jorge and Dulce are alone as she hisses that he swore he had never cheated on her with Yuriria…and now she finds out they had twins. After she continues that he always made her feel bad for having her suspicions which turned out to be true, Jorge retorts, “Hello! How are you? Everthing okay? And you what? You went off with another man!” Dulce counters, “But you pushed me away! You denied me attention! Your whole life was dedicated to Logatoys. Your abandonment pushed me to the arms of another man. Don’t you know?” Jorge is beside himself and remarks, “What are you saying? That you leave with Mr. Moustache and it was I that got you close to him..that I pushed you to him?” As he speaks, Dulce hears a female voice and asks who it is; so Jorge bluntly replies, “Kika...my girlfriend!” (If Dulce’s jaw had dropped lower, she could have mopped the floor!)

Meanwhile, Kika greets the kids and asks them how they are. Just then, Jorge and Dulce walk out, so Kika asks who the lady is. Dulce snidely responds, “I am Georgie’s wife!” (Kika’s turn to drop her jaw!) (And I have been in your bedroom spraying, remarking MY territory.)
Outside Logatoys, Renée and Mauricio wait for Toño who is being escorted out. Mauricio is beaming that they not only gave Fabián a hard time, he also felt that the bracelet was well liked by the group of sharks. Renée is disappointed that she couldn’t get anywhere inside, but is glad that she was able to let them know in public that the rat had plagiarized her project. Mau comments that it wasn’t in the schedule, but he is glad because she deserved her moment. Right after Mau asks if she was able to look into Falcón’s laptop, they watch as Gladys comes running down the stairs with the red-hot pail in tow. She hands the laptop to Mauricio and is sure that Fabián will now run her off. When she reminds Mauricio that he is supposed to hire her, Mau reassures her as he takes the laptop out of the pail. He will also provide her with medical insurance and vacations at the beach. At her age, she will learn to smile since she will find so much happiness at Anitoys. Gladys doubts it, but it doesn’t matter; she’s just afraid that Fabián will find out what she did. She then runs upstairs before they catch her.
At the police station, the agent tells R&R that he will be sending them an email to confirm that ther information was received. They immediatley receive the email and are elated to see that there are only 27 couples ahead of them on the waiting list. After the agent explains the next steps, including homevisits and an introductory course they will have to take, R&R gladly agree to adhere to the requirements. The agent congratulates them and hopes their wish will soon come true…R&R hug ecstaticly. (Is there more than one lady in the stable?  Otherwise 9 months times 27 is a about 20 years, give or take a bit.)
At Jorge’s house, Kika asks Jorge if this was going to be the dinner where he was going to announce their relationsip. Jorge confirms that it was going to be, but the situation now is not the most appropriate. Kika, however, thinks it is the perfect moment so that his exwife can know that she is no longer part of this family. Dulce remarks, “That’s all I needed…for you to tell me that I can not take back what is rightfully mine.” She then turns to Jorge and says, “Jorge, what is going on? First with Yuriria, then with her…don’t you see that I am a victim of your betrayal?” Jorge retorts, “Victim? You the victim? You left and abandoned your children!” Just then, Sammy interjects that his mother has now returned for them and he doesn’t want her to go away again.  (SHUT UP Sam, don't you need to go to the bathroom?)

After Jorge tells Sammy that everything will be fine, he goes to Kika and tells her it would be best if she leave. He is very sorry about the situation and will call her in a while. He doesn’t want to expose her to all of this. Kika agrees and assures him that he can count on her for anything. After she leaves, Jorge tells Dulce to follow him as he stomps to the bedroom. Once alone, Jorge starts, “Look Dulce, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. You can’t just come in here as if nothing had happened! You…can’t…do that! And I am going to ask a favor of you, stop lying, please…because you and I are not married! We are divorced because I signed the documents.” Dulce then blatantly drops the bomb, “But I didn’t sign them, Jorge.” (Jorge, you need one of those lawyers from next door in that SPASM show.)
[Mexican Version: At Restrepo Systems, Bustamante tells Vero that they just got a potential client. He wants her to study the case and tell him what they can offer the client so that he will sign on with them. When he mentions that he was going to send the file with Toñito, but he hasn’t seen him and doesn’t know where he is, Vero makes up the excuse that she sent him to put codes on some equipment. Bustamante is no fool and tells Vero that he knows how good Toño is; so she doesn’t need to come up with excuses for him. Everyone knows that Toño is a henpecked husband and his wife has a tight rope on him. Vero forces a laugh and tells Bustamante that she knows nothing about Toño’s private life…nor is she interested. What she does know about Antonio is that he is a great professional when he is there. He is doing a stupendous job; and if they haven’t decided who will run the new department, in her opinion, he is the ideal candidate. Bustamante has considered Toño, but there are other candidates for the position. Vero was unaware of that and offers to give him her (Absolutely, completely , totally UNBIASED) opinion of the other (Worthless, totally unqualified, dishonest, pond scum) candidates, but Bustamante isn’t keen on the idea and tells her there is no hurry. What he does need right away, is her opinion on what he just handed her.]
[Mexican Version: As R&R leave the station, Rodrgio tells his co-workers that he will see them later. Just then, he hears one of them comment, “There goes that pair of gays!” Rodrigo starts toward the guy, but Rafa holds him back and tells him not to get ruffled; they have been called worse. Rodrigo agrees, but adds that they’ve never been called anything there. Ever since he came out of the closet, no one had told him anything. He goes in to the reception area and asks who the ‘machito’ was that made the comment, but no one speaks up. Rodrigo chides them for being so brave, but whoever said it is really a coward who doesn’t have the pants to back up what he just said…unlike him and his husband. When Rafa interjects that they are not hiding from anyone, and if anyone is not in agreement with them, there is no need to be insulting them…and much less anonymously. Rodrigo then remarks, “We love each other…that is what unites all couples; in turn, those who point their finger and judge us or those who are not like them are guided by hate. If you don’t want to understand us or want to be led by your prejudices, that’s up to you! We demand respect. Is there someone here who doesn’t deserve that?” At that, one of the agents tells Rodrigo that there is no need for him to explain. He appreciates that he gave them that lesson. When the agent asks who made the comment and tells them they need to apologize, everyone remains silent. As R&R turn to leave, one the men stands and admits it was he who made the comment and apologizes. Rodrigo accepts the apology and they leave satisfied at their small triumph.]
At Mau’s house, Mau grunts in despair because Toño still hasn’t been able to figure out Falcón’s password. He wonders what football team Falcón likes or something else that he likes, but no one knows anything about Falcón. Just then, Mau’s lightbulb flickers and he thinks of Falcón’s son; so Toño tries that name, but is still unsuccessful. Renée then suggests adding “123” to the name since everyone usually does that and…BINGO!! They’re in and everyone cheers! (Yikes, I have to go change a bunch of passwords myself)
At Logatoys, Fabián comments to Falcón that the robot was well received; he thinks it’s going to be a megahit. Falcón, however, doesn’t think so; he didn’t get any warm feelings from the group. Fabián thinks it was a good presentation; though they liked the hogwash Mauricio showed them, but he doesn’t care. Everyone knows Mau is a loser. Fabián then remarks that what they need is a push. He thought about Anifer; they didn’t talk too much about the robot. Falcón is not keen on the idea since it cost them so much trouble the previous time. Fabián thinks there’s always a way; the problem is that Falcón is always so negative. After Falcón concedes and mentions that he didn’t see Kika among the business people, Fabián comments that she already got what she wanted…though she probably spent days looking and found nothing. When Fabián asks if Falcón has erased all sensitive information from his computer, Falcón gives a shifty look before assuring him that it’s done.
At Jorge’s house, Jorge’s rampage toward Dulce continues. He knows perfectly well that Isauro is in jail; and if he is in jail, Jorge can just imagine what happened…her lover can’t pay her with his millions of drug money; he can’t buy her whatever she wants. Dulce denies everything and states that she returned for her children, (And a nice Nap and a Ham Sandwich and Diet Coke) but Jorge knows that if she returned, it’s because she had no choice; and then, she comes playing her best role…that of the victim. Dulce retorts that, just so he knows, she found out Blanca Nieves was a criminal and she turned him in. Jorge laughs in disbelief and wonders if she really thinks he is going to believe her. Meanwhile, Sammy tells Val that he knew his mommy was going to return. Val wonders if he already forgot that she left and abandoned them for quite some time, but Sammy doesn’t care; they are talking about his mommy. He loves her and misses her. When he asks Val if she doesn’t miss their mother even a little, Val admits she does, but their mother stlll abandoned them. Sammy then asks if she isn’t happy that their mother returned, but Val just looks at him. (With a 'Kika is cooler' look)
At Logatoys, Falcón thinks it’s time that they end their alliance. When Fabián asks if he really wants to leave now, Falcón reminds him that he was only to be there temporarily to help Fabián. Fabián can’t believe that Falcón has something else to do because an ex-businessman that has become nothing surely doesn’t have a surplus of offers. Falcón tells Fabián that he has no reason talk to him like that, but Fabián continues to degrade him and tells him not to think that he is doing him any favors; no one wanted to hire him…he was practically done with when Fabián rescued him. When Falcón tells Fabián that he has plans, Fabián mockingly laughs and wonders if Falcón is going to return to the businessworld with a sandwich stand or, better yet, sell sandwiches at a fleamarket since they are so crowded on weekends! Falcón tells Fabián that he can make fun of him as much as he wants, but they had an agreement; and he wants what’s coming to him for the part he played in this deal. Fabián, however, doesn’t think this is the time to be talking about that…it’s not that much anyway. He opens the door for Falcón and warns him not to even think of jumping ship.
At Jorge’s house, Jorge rants that he still can’t believe that Dulce didn’t sign the divorce papers; he just can’t get it though his head. No one would believe it; she causing problems for him even with that. Dulce lays it on thick and tells Jorge that she did it because she was’t sure. She found out that she couldn’t live away from her children. (Which is actually a coincidence, as it had nothing to do with her children.) He doesn’t know how much she missed Val and Sammy. Jorge chides her for taking such a looong time with Mr. Moustache before realizing that. Dulce then remarks that Jorge shouldn’t be reproaching her since he cheated on her with Yuriria. If they’re comparing sins, then Jorge is a thousand times worse…and then he brings the two kids into HER house to shove his infidelity in her face. She doesn’t deserve this humiliation. She continues until she sits and tells Jorge she doesn’t want to fight anymore; she came for something else. She hasn’t eaten since last night and has been walking the streets thinking about what she should do…almost like a beggar (can you hear the violins?). After Jorge tells her not to exaggerate, Dulce cries as she appeals to his Christian goodwill and asks for something to eat…and to please, pleeease let her be with her children. Jorge sneers that Dulce will get an Oscar, so she furiously stands up to leave the bedroom. Jorge is about to go after her when Mauricio calls and tells him to get over to his house immediately because he thinks they found something against Fabián.
Upstairs, Baldo comments about Dulce being the one who took Jorge from their mother. Lili doesn’t think he shouldn’t be causing any more trouble, but Baldo wonders what they are going to do now that Dulce has returned. Lili isn’t too worried since she will be going to the US with Pablo, but she worries about Baldo. When Baldo tells her he will return to TJ since it won’t belong before they turn the age of majority. As soon as he turns 18, he’ll leave. Lili wonders what Baldo will do over there; so Baldo tells her that will be the least of his worries; he’ll think of something…he’ll have the inheritance money anyway. Lili remarks that they may not want to admit it, but both of them have become accustomed to living in this house with their siblings... and with Jorge. Baldo agrees that his siblings aren’t too bad, but it’s not like he has become accustomed to them. Lili doesn’t think Jorge will allow Dulce back into the house…he certainly won’t roll out the red carpet for her. Baldo, however, thinks that no matter how angry they are with her, a mother is always a mother. They understand that more than anyone.
At Mau’s house, Anifer tells Renée that her parents are always sad or angry; so Renée remarks that it doesn’t necessarily mean that something bad is happening. (Like one time in say, a hundred or two?) Anifer shrugs her shoulders because she doesn’t know because adults are so strange! Just then, Jorge arrives with a long face which Mauricio notes right away and asks ‘Jermacio’ what happened. Jorge loses it and starts yelling, “What happened? You ask what happened? Nothing! Why does something have to happen? Has something happened? NO! Nothing happened! My name is not Jermacio! My…name..is not…Jermacio! And not German, not Julieto! Why? Why? Nothing has happened! (calming down) Now what did you find?”(Settle down, Jermacio)

Toño turns the laptop to show Jorge a graph as Mau whispers to Toño, “Is Jermacio angry?” Jorge looks at the graph and says, “Very good. Fantastic.”
At Logatoys, Falcón is in the conference room telling Gladys that he is sure he left his laptop there, but Gladys tells him that she didn’t see it and suggests he may have left it at his house. He should try to remember because sometimes he does ‘lose it.’ Falcón is sure he saw it there right before the presentation…right before Mauricio and that girl arrived. When he wonders if they might have stolen it, Gladys gasps and says, “Oh sure, something disappears and who gets blamed? The secretary! Of course! How dare you accuse me!” She throws herself against the wall arms stretched up and tells him to search her…ALL of her! After Falcón tells her he isn’t accusing her of anything, Gladys insists, “Search me anyway!”

Waving his finger at her, Falcón remarks that she knows something and doesn’t want to tell him. Gladys denies knowing anything and wonders if he is going to search her. She again insists, “Search me! Sir, search me! Look, I’m here; I’m not over here, I’m here…” As she swings her hips, she repeats, “Searrrrch me!” (Falcooon, a strip search does not mean YOU strip!)
At Mau’s house, Jorge is looking at the documents and tells the group that it’s the same ones that he had told them about. Everyone groans is disappointment. Mau thinks it’s odd that Falcón would have that on his computer. Toño then tells Jorge to move over so that he can look again. After he opens another file, Jorge pushes him away so he can take a look, but it’s only transactions that have been made. Toño again tells Jorge to move over. They will have to look at each file and that will take them all night. Mau doesn’t think that will be a problem. When he suggests that they can get some strong coffee and spend all night there, everyone agrees except Jorge because he has a very complicated problem at home. When the others ask what is going on, Jorge loses it again and starts yelling and banging chairs on the floor then putting them on top of the table…(Feast or Famine Jorge)

Just then, María tells them to be quiet. She recognizes the name of the person who filed charges on her and there are other names! (Frankly, my Dear, I don't give a dam.)
At Jorge’s house, Dulce continues her Oscar performance as she hugs and tells Sammy that she knows she made mistakes. She was also a victim of the circumstances. When Valentina sarcasticly asks her if that is why she abandoned them, Dulce tells her that Valentina doesn’t know how much she regrets what she did. Even the rest of her life won’t be enough time to show them how regretful she is. (Valentina wholeheartedly agrees) Sammy doesn’t care about anything; he is just happy that she is returned. Dulce goes to Valentina and asks her to forgive her, but Valentina chides her for thinking it can be that easy. Val hasn’t forgotten how she left her waiting at the hotel; she left her there alone. Dulces expresses how much that hurt her…some day Val will appreciate that she didn’t take her with her. She saved her from a huge predicament…something horrible. Dulce again asks Valentina to forgive her as she hugs her. Meanwhle upstairs, Baldo tells Lili that they have nothing to lose; they are just as much Jorge’s children as Valentina and Sammy are. If that lady has a problem with them being blunt, too bad! Lili still wonders what will happen; she thinks it’s best to wait for Jorge. Baldo mocks that she thinks Jorge is going to defend her, but Lili insists that even though Jorge has told them off numerous times, he has been a father to them. Baldo reminds Lili that Jorge left Yuriria for Ms. Bitterness, he spent seventeen years denying that they were his children, he tried to hide them from everyone and he even stuck his hand in the savings their mother left them. Lili admits that Baldo makes a good point, but adds that though Jorge is far from being the best father, at least he is trying. After she asks Baldo to acknowledge that, Baldo thinks Lili is defending Jorge because he promised to take her to Pablo. Baldo then asks what is going on with Pablo and if Pablo has forgotten about her. Lili tells him to be quiet, but looks doubtful. (Pablo is finding his Papa a Toda Madre?)
In Los Angeles, Pancho asks Pablo why he is at the restaurant if it’s his day off. Pablo cries as he tells him that his father wrote him a letter and told him that he doesn’t want to see him and that he should return to Mexico. Pancho thinks Pablo should do as his father tells him because if he was thinking of bringing his girl and baby over here, that would be a big risk. Pablo explains that he came to have a better future and make money, but Pancho tells him it’s not that easy; he would be breaking his back from sun up to sundown…no one will give him anything for free. Pablo knows, but isn’t afraid of work. Pancho then points out that things would be easier in Mexico; he could even continue his studies…especially since he has his papers in order to stay in Mexico. Just then, Melina walks in, so Pablo asks her what it is that she wants now. As Pablo walks toward her, Melina hides her face as Pancho asks Pablo if everything is okay. After Pablo assures Pancho that everything is fine, Pancho leaves. Once alone, Melina tells Pablo that she has convinced his father to see him the next day; he is willing to tell him everything he told him in the letter…face-to-face…so that Pablo can return to Mexico with his family.
At Mau’s house, Mau tells Jorge, Renée and Toño not to worry; he and María will continue looking until their eyes fall out. Toño tells them that if they need technical help to call him; and Renée asks that if they find any clues as to where Noel is, to let her know. Mau assures her they will. After everyone leaves, María wonders if Falcón has figured out that his computer is missing. Mau is sure he has so they need to hurry because Fabián is sure to try something else soon.
At Logatoys, Gladys enters Fabián’s office dancing as she brings in some files. When she suddenly sees Falcón sitting at the desk, she shrieks and drops the files. Falcón wonders why she is yelling; so Gladys tells him that she came in to leave some papers and thought no one was there. Falcón explains that he is there finishing up some work and will lock up.
At Jorge’s house, Jorge is with all the kids as Sammy tells Jorge that Dulce went to take a nap because she was very tired. When Sammy asks if his mother will be staying with them, Jorge rubs his temples and tells Sammy that things are different. When he adds that he can’t just resume a relationship with is mother, Valentina interjects that he is already seeing Kika. Sammy doesn’t think that matters; Jorge can just drop Kika. Val doesn’t think that would be cool. Baldo then tells Jorge that he and Lili feel very uncomfortable with his ex there. When Liil adds that the lady is nothing to them, Sammy insists that ‘the lady’ lives there and is his mother; she will stay there whether they like it or not. Lili points out that Dulce had left and Val thinks Dulce should leave. Jorge then tells them to stop arguing because he needs silence in order to think. (That is the key to success at the Coop, right Jorge?) When she wakes up or tomorrow, Jorge will have a serious talk with Dulce (as compared to the flirty banter with Dulce a few minutes ago?). When Val reminds Jorge that he had made plans to see Kika, Jorge realizes he had forgotten…so Scottie beams him over to Kika’s house…
At Kika’s suite, Kika asks Jorge where Dulce is going to stay…she’d better not move in with his kids! Jorge admits that Dulce fell asleep; and he doesn’t think she has anywhere to go. He doesn’t know what to do. Kika suggests that he not let the world cave in on him. It’s simple…Dulce should go to a hotel. It doesn’t have to be a 5 star hotel; it can be a 2-3 star hotel…for Dulce, that would be good enough. When Jorge tells her that Dulce doesn’t have money for that, Kika tells him to pay it for her…he has such a good salary. If not, Dulce can stay at his house and he can stay there with Kika. Jorge explains that the situation is not that simple…Lili and Baldo are there. They are not Dulce’s kids; and they feel uncomfortable with her. Kika then thinks he has no other choice; he needs to get that woman out of his house…she can see that Dulce is not a good woman. (Send her to Motel Six or kill her. Here let's flip a coin. Heads you......) Jorge emphasizes that Dulce is the mother of his children; he needs to think…without being pressured so he can come to a decision. Kika calms down and is sorry; she doesn’t want to pressure him, just help him. She tells him to do whatever he thinks is best; she will always help him and he can count on her. Just then, Fabián arrives demanding to know why Kika didn’t attend the presentation, but when he sees Jorge he smirks. Fabián thinks he knows why and tells Jorge that he didn’t think he would be seeing him there. Jorge stands there wishing the earth could swallow up Fabián…(Now Jorge, YOU call Security.)

I agree with Jorge; Dulce deserves an Oscar...right SMACK across her lyin' face! I wanted to smack Samuel too for insisting that he missed his "mommy"...So how old is he?? Physically approximately 14? Mentally...5???

Louuurved Gladys tonight!! She saved the episode from darkness and gloom...but with Falcon??? Seriously??

More mañana...

Yes, Steve, a VERY TWISTED version. I much prefer the original!

What a piece of work. You're the best. I can't believe the nerve of Dulce, showing back up. The nail in her coffin, I thought, was when she stood Valentina up and left her alone with her luggage at the hotel.

There were so many good parts of this one, and so many good lines in your reeeeecap. Gladys really is entertaining when given a chance.

Now that the three stoo....um ther good guys are making some progress, I am anxious to see how Fabian goes down.

Jorge is just spastic. Maybe with Kika .............nevermind. Speaking of, the patience of a saint.

And what IS Maria doing still hanging around, showing off her wardrobe? Anifer is almost forgotten these days, take her and move back to Rice Crispin. Bye

Sell her house and buy more crack? :-) Goodnight all.

Thanks, Kirby. It’s all in TEAMwork!! Ghost and I are very grateful to the patio for the feedback that keeps us going...you all are our ‘energizers’ though we are far from being bunnies Teeheehee :-D

I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re right; Anifer has become almost invisible. I’m surprised the writers didn’t include her as part of the Odd Squad...not even as a mascot!

And I agree that the last nail was BitterDulce leaving Val stranded at the hotel. How can Jorge still consider her a ‘mother’?

Good morning , patio.

Chickie...Thank you so much for this detailed recap! Last night , we were out for dinner with a friend and then grocery shopping , so I missed most of this show.

OT..I would very much appreciate any good vibrations that you could send out into the universe today because there will be a change of custody hearing today. Thank you .🙋❤

Where to start...

RgvChick, you and Ghost were in fine form. There were so many excellent lines, I had to pare down my favorites to: "He just finished that book, 'If they will do for you, they will do it to you'?", "Esperanza remains speechless and skeptical", " Gladys waves and jigs around happily (not as impressive as Jorge’s moves)" and finally, your prophetic "Sometimes things look really bad...because they are".

Loved the screen shots.

Dulce just hurts my heart. One minute she is eager and grateful to be fleeing her rat hole with her odious "lover" for a bigger, better nest and the next, being betrayed, she decides to return "home". To children she abandoned and for all intent and purpose, cut out of her life. It was horrible seeing Samuel clinging to his mother, all injustices forgotten and forgiven. Val is cool now but what young girl doesn't want, doesn't ache for their mother's love? Way too many dead parents here as I've said but is there room for one more??? I can't believe I am saying that but...

All of that said, Jorge did the right thing. He couldn't throw her out and as he told Kika, she is his children's mother and Samuel never would have understood. Poor Lili and Baldo. Could Dulce at least have given them a civil word???

And Pablo. His father's storyline is coming late in the game and for what purpose? Love triumphs?

Enjoyed Mau and company getting the best of Fabian. I suspect a high price will be paid though...

Yes, why is Maria still hanging around Kirby? She is just annoying...But, I'd still rather ship Dulce out first...

Susanlynn, I hope the sinking feeling I have reading your post is wrong. So please know you have my/our unconditional love and support. Sending prayers. God bless.

RgvChick, you did a simply awesome job with this.

Kirby, your avatar makes me smile. So beautiful.

I know I am a mean old bad, bad, bad, but when I opened that door, I would have asked Dunce if she was lost, "Remember, you don't live here anymore, Good Day." SLAM

The nerve. To cut through the crap, and (thank you RGV, Oscar performance) she flounced out of there and had no kind words of farewell to Jorge nor tearful goodbyes to her children.

Her dubious new relationship and life has understandably come crashing down and she comes slinking back? Screw her, why are the popo not looking for her too?

'Mistakes' are for altruistic kids like Pablo, not grownups who know better. Dulce is one of those people whose looks have probably shown her that forgivness is cheap.

Kika has certainly changed. She was more than gracious in everything.

Little Sam is just a lost soul. But he isn't mad at Dulce for leaving them high and dry? Go figure.

Jorge. Arrrrgggghhh. That whole conversation? with Dulce should have never happened, and for sure should not have taken most of this episode. All that back and forth, "you cheated', 'No, YOU cheated." 'No, you cheated FIRST". Like negotiating with ISIS.

Jorge must be Looong in the saddle, because there is hardly anything else endearing about him. Kika sees something I don't.

OK. Next, exactly WHAT are they looking for on that laptop? Evidence of Fabian's enbezzlement or the trail to Maria's initial arrest? Both? I can't tell.

Renee's neverending supply of vari-colored pleather motorcycle jackets is amazing for a broke chick. It is good to see that Maria, unemployed, is not wasting her money at Ross and is instead wearing Afghans and slip covers. :-)

Pablo, Pablo, Pablo.
If you love someone set them free,
if they return, they are yours forever.
If they do not
Hunt them down and kill them.

If Pops has been gone for so many years, and no attempt at contact, I suppose the message is that you should leave well enough alone. I am just not seeing Melcorina's heart breaking over what he/she is doing to Pabs. It is primarily like "Go away before you dig up my secret."

Tono's Mom kept most of the brains for herself. A week ago these two numbskulls were at each other's throats making every available person within reach miserable. Now they are at each other's necks, giving each other hickies and wanting to add on a room to a CONDO? How does that work? Isn't that like deciding your car needs another wheel?

Good Morning! Stopped by quickly before going out to feed my animalitos to wish Susy and her family good luck. Sending prayers, good thoughts and many warm (((((Vibes))))) to you and your family.

Be back in a while...

SusanLynn, count me in. I'll do what I can if they don't smell the Doritios on my breath

And yet...another exquisite shot.

In awe Kirby.

Thank you.

Thank you for your recap, RgdChick! Love the title, snark, etc.

He just finished that book, 'If they will do it for you, they will do it to you'?. My mother made all her daughters read that book when we became of age. Smart woman.

Jaws music ... LOL!!!

Dulce ... presumptuous much? Victim much? But not divorced yet. Eek!

Renee ... ladrón que roba ladrón

Pabs ... careful what you wish for, you just might get it

Everybody, change passwords!

So glad Jorge grew a pair

Gladys....inviting Falcón to cop a feel? QTH?

Kika .... again a voice of reason. Send Dulce to the Anvil Hotel.

Thank you, RgvChick, the recap was excellent. You have me laughing this morning.

As for Melchor, it makes me think of PESE where Juan Carlos just ripped off his wig at the altar, there was the gasp in the church and the horrified shocked look on a kid’s face. A favorite telenovela scene. Too bad this is not “funnier” because I would love something similar to happen here but alas Pablo will probably be left with some old guy with telltale traces of makeup, eye shadow and mascara on his face or just the letter.

Anyway, enough of yearning for better and funnier novelas.

Rgv, ITA whiney Samuel deserved a smack, too. . He really annoyed me.

Kirby, great observation about Anifer almost MIA. Maybe it can stay that way for a while . . .

Diana, it was good to see Mauricio for once getting one over on Fabián. Could this be the start of a change? I sure hope so.

Susanlynn, hoping all goes well.

Dulce is just despicable. I am happy that Valentina maintained her distance from her and I hope she has the fortitude to keep it.

Pablo's father is entitled to live his life the way he chooses.

It's not what he did that bothers me, it's what he didn't do.

He forged ahead without giving thought to his family. Did they not deserve to know? If Pablo had not gone in search and "found" him, what would have happened? Would everyone have thought he was dead? Thoughtless and verging on cruel.

I don't know how parents can turn their backs on their children. Dulce, I'm looking at you too.

doris "everybody change passwords" was great. :)

Diana

"Anyway, enough of yearning for better and funnier novelas".

Hear, hear Jarifa. Huge sigh.

Diana

I thought even the Russians would never figure out Kirbo123. RATS.

Wow...this was like two episodes crammed into one. In fact, since you added what we missed from the Mexican telecast, I'm sure it was. Thanks for all your long and hard work Rgv Chick and Ghost.

Like everyone else, loved the title and the reference to If They will do it for You, They will do it to You. Great wisdom there.

"Dulce denies everything and states that she returned for her children, (And a nice Nap and a Ham Sandwich and Diet Coke) "

So funny. And yes, clearly the motivation to return was not her children. Although learning of BlancaNieves plan for Valentina did get her going in the right direction.

Also loved "(can you hear the violins?)" and "so Scottie beams him over to Kika's house..." The scene changes in this were certainly abrupt.

PSA's coming on heavy duty. Regardless of your personal choices Don't Abandon Your Family (Melchior and Dulce, are you listening?) and Don't Judge and Disrespect Others (are you listening fellow policemen in Rodrigo's squad?)

All good messages but a bit heavy handed and certainly don't add to the comedy in this one. But whatever. The Patio is the best.

Susanlynn, praying for the best possible outcome in the custody hearing today. Parents are important in a child's life, but safety and security are utmost, and when one parent has a significant impairment, the children's protection is first and foremost. Hoping that the judge sees that and acts accordingly. Will also pray that regardless of the legal outcome, that your granddaughters' guardian angels will watch over them each moment of the day. At least they have wonderful grandparents in you and Hub, and a wonderful mom in your daughter. They are well loved.

And speaking of love, incredible avatar picture today Kirby. Blessings to one and all on a day which so far is absolutely lovely. Thanks Rgv Chick and your mysterious Ghost companion.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Your recap started off with a jolt -- In his rat hole -- and just kept steering perfectly through this jam-packed episode.

So Dulce is shocked life went on without her. Kika is a saint to put up so well with all of Jorge's baggage.

Pablo, stick by your guns. You've got a right to know what's what with pop. How dare he not even give you a chance to try to understand whatever is up with him.

Susanlynn, sending good vibes on the custody hearing. ((((()))))

Good Morning, Again! Thank you, everyone, for your kind reviews and exceptional comments. A lot did happen in this episode and it was heavy on the Jorge and Pablo storylines; so, JudyB, “All good messages but a bit heavy handed and certainly don't add to the comedy in this one. But whatever. The Patio is the best.” I wholeheartedly agree with your statements, especially that this patio is the BEST!

Diana, “Jorge did the right thing. He couldn't throw her out and as he told Kika, she is his children's mother and Samuel never would have understood. Poor Lili and Baldo. Could Dulce at least have given them a civil word???” Yes, Jorge did do the right thing, but I do hope he has the knockers to send her off to a 2 star hotel. Sammy needs to grow up and see through his lying, heartless excuse of a mother. Dulce, a civil word? Don't think so! The only civil words she knows are those that get her what she wants...and those are not necessarily civil ether.

Jarifa, “Dulce is just despicable. I am happy that Valentina maintained her distance from her and I hope she has the fortitude to keep it.” I think Val will have that fortitude. Her relationship with Kika has grown strong and Kika has definitely been more of a mother than Dulce has been. It’s obvious that Val is rooting for Kika. Kirby, “Kika has certainly changed. She was more than gracious in everything.” Now who is the main protag in this TN? I think Kika just pushed Renee out!

Kirby, “exactly WHAT are they looking for on that laptop? Evidence of Fabian's embezzlement or the trail to Maria's initial arrest?” They are looking for ANYTHING incriminating against Fabian and that includes fraud, embezzlement, kidnapping (his father), and manipulating Maria’s imprisonment.

Doris, “Gladys....inviting Falcón to cop a feel? QTH?” Didn’t that make you want to puke? Surely Gladys is not THAT desperate. Where’s Benito and Finito????

Niecie, “So Dulce is shocked life went on without her. Kika is a saint to put up so well with all of Jorge's baggage.” Unbelievable isn’t it??? I’m hoping for a gruesome anvil for Dulce…sorry for the kids, but definitely not for her. I hope Kika doesn’t give up on Jorge; he is just now starting to be the man and father we all want him to be. GO, KIKA!!! And, "Pablo, stick by your guns. " I suppose you are right; he does have a right to know exactly why his father vanished from the family's life. I just hope he is able to handle the truth...whatever it may be.

RGV Chickie, thank you for this, as always, inspired recap; it was a great pleasure to read and the Mexican version fills made it even better.

For me the most interesting current thing going on is Pablo's story with Melina. Is she really his father? I really have to tell myself that the TN gods can do whatever they want, whenever they want, with this one. How did a poor Guatemalan illegal immigrant to the United States come to be able to afford surgery (at the very least a boob job, perhaps sex reassignment surgery), a modest but decent house, etc? California Special Welfare for Illegal Immigrants? And now she just goes on about how tough life is here in the States? And just blows off any connection to his/her family back in Guate without a word to them?

Are the writers just trying to trick us?

And how stupid is Pablo anyway? It doesn't look good for a career in quantum mechanics, even if he is good at math and can see with both eyes now.

andy

"I'm lookin fer my PAW"....................---------------------------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

OT...The results of the hearing were not too bad . Not much has changed ...just a bit. Thank goodness . Thanks for the good vibes that you sent out into the universe for our family. I really believe that it helped. ❤❤❤

On topic..now that I not nervous and trying to keep busy.Perhaps Pablo's fAther is just cross dressing.

I got a big giggle out of Gladys running up and down the steps.

What nerve Dulce has slithering back to the family she abandonned.

Nice doggie! Hope he finds his paw :-)

Susy, I don’t think Pablo’s father is just cross dressing. If Melina is Pablo’s father, he at least got a boob job. I, like Andy, am wondering where he would have gotten the money for any surgery that may have been done.

Andy, I share your sentiments about Pablo. When his storyline started, all he wanted was to find his father...now he wants the American dream...hmmm, did the writers forget??

Susy, glad the hearing is over. Sounds like it didn’t turn out as well as you wanted, but some progress was made. Prayers and good (((vibes))) will continue for you and your family.

Pablo's storyline is confusing indeed. And if his Dad is transgender, yes, that involves expensive surgery. And he can't be bothered to send even a peso back to his struggling family in Guatemala for the last few years or so? He's tied for despicable parent with Dulce if that is the case. It's not like Guatemala has gone through a big economic boom and the family is now rolling in cash. I think the writers are now just throwing up random PSA's at the wall and seeing if something sticks. Definitely time to wrap this one up.

"Definitely time to wrap this one up." Yeah, but sure am going to miss 'not liking' Kika.

She's the most loveable hateful gal I have ever run into in TeleNovelalaLand.

Is there a stipend from HomeAgain Security, or Health and Inhumane Disservices for each PSA?

Dam it was funny for a minute, but I just can't l;look at that poor little three legged doggie anymore.
House sparrow with a peanut.

Susanlynn - good news that the hearing results didn't change drastically to the negative. It can always be worse.

The transgender story isn't out of place for what happens to many migrants in this country. You'd be surprised how many families, husbands, wives, children, etc. cross the border and soon forget those they left behind. Many even start new lives in the USA, complete with new families, all the while being legally married in their home country. Some people are so selfish they really just don't care.

Then there are those that maintain two families in secrecy.

Well put, Anon. Just because somebody is an immigrant doesn’t mean they are any better or worse than the rest of humanity. No surprises there.
