Por Amar Sin Ley, 6/28/18 Chapter 86 Jueves: Coupling

Chapter 86: Coupling
I'm Christopher Mason. Most people in the world want to be part of a couple. They enjoy the idea of having a partner in life's adventures... or an accomplice in their crimes. In today's story we will see several who seem to know what they want, but don't always get it.
  • Ricardo told Alejandra he would not stop fighting for her love. She did not quite believe it.
  • Roberto brought a still-protesting Leonardo to yet another upscale watering hole, possibly one of his own new hunting grounds. He ordered two double whiskies just as Victoria entered with a reluctant Olivia and guided her to the bar. Leonardo turned around and the two probably realized that this was a set-up even before Victoria and Roberto walked off, leaving them alone.
  • Ricardo talked to Elena about her summons to appear in court. He advised her to just tell the truth, then asked whether she knew that Miguel consumed drugs. She hesitated, he became suspicious, and she answered Yes. He asked if she knew whether Miguel sold drugs and she said No. He had offered her some a few times and she had always declined. She told Ricardo she would feel better if he came with her to court. He agreed to and told her that it was very important to tell the truth because if she was caught in a lie it would become very complicated. She said she had never imagined that such a thing would happen and what this could have done to her children “All to get revenge on you.” He told her not to worry about it. He gave her her pills. She took her time taking the water glass out of his hand. Her cell phone rang. She checked the screen but did not answer. Then told him that the most important thing to her was to start all over with him and save their relationship. For a moment he looked very uncomfortable.
  • Despite her apparent epiphany from her brush with death, Elena still had an important lesson to learn, which is that you can't always get what you want.
  • Leonardo and Olivia shared a mutual enjoyment of red wine as he catalogued her virtues and told her that he tried to give her space to resolve her issues with … whomever. She told him she was pleased by his gestures but was uncomfortable with them because she had been dating Alan and it wasn't right. Finally, she told him that she broke up with Alan, therefore he should not lose interest in her. He smiled and they clinked glasses.
Roberto and Victoria watched from the top of the stairs.
He congratulated themselves on their matchmaking success and commented about getting lucky that night.
She said she would like to go home, undress, and sleep all night. He looked like his imagination was about to run away with him, then suggested they dine somewhere. She liked that. Of course, he suggested his usual idea of a second act. She did not reply. They looked down again and she said “Finally, my friend's heart is in good hands.” They drank to that.
Leonardo expressed his pleasure at Olivia ending it with Alan, saying that it was because he never trusted the man and because he was in love with her. More and more every day. She confessed that she had been in love with him since her first day at the firm.
She had ended her relationship with Alan not because he treated her badly but because she could never love him due to her feelings for Leonardo.
  • Carlos showed Alejandra documents on the foundation that showed it was completely above board., obviously not admitting that Benjamín had cooked the books. He went on to say that all was in order. She said “Good,” but with little enthusiasm, finally handing the papers back to him. He intended for the press to see these documents in the morning so the public would know. She congratulated him and he said he didn't want her to worry about anything.
  • Leonardo and Olivia had more love talk concluding that the best thing was that they had gotten to know each other during that time. He swore she would never regret this. Another kiss.
  • Ricardo read a bedtime story to Natalia, who then told him how happy she and her brother were that he was home again and that her mother was happy. Ricardo told her he was very happy to be with the two of them again. She then said “Don't go back to your house. Stay here with us.”
Ricardo looked dumbfounded and afraid. He had not bargained for this.
  • When one's children are as emotionally immature as Natalia, how do you tell them that such a marital reunion would be a fairy tale of its own kind? One that would inspire nightmares.
  • Alejandra said she was happy things were alright at the foundation but expressed concern about Benjamin's involvement. Carlos asked “Why not?” with the implication that nothing had been proven against him yet. Besides, he was sure that Benjamin was good at his work. Alejandra said he was but also very ambitious. Carlos said that he would take this in into consideration because “All I want to do is please you.” He kissed her on the cheek, wished her good night, and left.
  • Ricardo bit the bullet and reminded Natalia that he and her mother were divorced and that he was going back to his place when she was better. She managed to inveigle a few more days out of him nontheless. When she laid down leaning against him and couldn't see his face, he looked haggard as he promised to always take care of her.
  • Considering the patters of behavior, we know that Alejandra will misinterpret this and Elena will take shameless advantage of the situation. Alejandra needs to learn to play hardball, despite that it might not be cricket.
  • Roberto and Victoria discussed Leo and Olivia over dinner, then turned the conversation to his intentions toward her. The same result as usual until he told her she was afraid. She owned up to it, saying she loved him as a friend and a colleague, but could not count on being the exception to the rule of his life. He said there was no risk involved but he would always be her friend.
  • I don't think I heard that correctly.
  • Leonardo took Olivia back to her apartment.
More talk of love and as he was about to leave she asked him to stay.
    He did, with predictable results.
  • During the dessert course of evening Roberto tried prolonging the evening yet again but Victoria declined. He made it clear he was still hoping for the opportunity. He said he would make her the happiest woman in the world. He would treat her like a queen, a goddess. She answered that she liked her independence, that he was accustomed to the needs of bimbos and he could have a chance if he had something real to offer her.
  • Of course, the real question here is whether Roberto would be capable of fidelity even to his Dame Justice. She can't be faulted for her doubts.
  • The next morning Carlos went to see Alonso, who had just seen the headline about the foundation being cleared of money laundering. Alonso congratulated him and Carlos handed him a copy of what he had shown Alejandra. He then spoke of their competition and finally suckered Alonso into accepting him as an ally against the Durantes.
  • Or did he? After he left Alonso looked as though he saw something that poisoned the handshake.
  • Victoria and Alejandra talked about that same headline. Then they speculated on what was happening with Benjamin, as no one knew where he was staying or anything else since Karina threw him out of the house and Alonso forced him out of the firm.
Then Olivia arrived with some kiss and tell about the previous night.
  • Leonardo went to Roberto's office to thank him and give him the good news.
He didn't have to give any details.
  • Neither did Olivia, not that they were not requested.
Alejandra and Victoria figured it out
and the three were practically about to open champagne before Carlos barged in. He asked what everyone was celebrating and Victoria kept him out of it by commenting on the newspaper article. Alejandra thanked him rather indifferently and he commented about the foundation going on to do what it says it will do. He asked Olivia how she was, knowing that she had broken up with Alan. He made several comments about what a pity it was because she made him so happy and was the perfect woman for him. Then he took his leave. The ladies restrained themselves until he closed the door and Victoria said something about Alan being sad. “What a shame.” They kept their voices down.
  • Ricardo and Elena were present for Miguel Carbajal's trial for drug possession. The prosecutor opened saying that he had been in an automobile accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment where tests revealed that he had been driving under the influence. Ecstasy and cocaine were found in his possession and thus he was arrested.
Miguel's defense counsel asked him what had happened that night. He answered that he had had a date with Elena and she had left him alone with her children. His lawyer asked if there was a problem and he said No, not with the children, but her ex-husband arrived and “He was crazy.” He identified Ricardo in response to the usual questions. He then said that Ricardo knocked him out and kidnapped the children.
Ricardo, who was seated next to a very frumpy Elena, said nothing. Miguel went on to say that after that Elena arrived home, he told her what happened, and they went out after the children. “I always, always helped her. I was driving faster than usual, she was on her phone arguing with Ricardo, and I got distracted. The accident is his fault.” He demanded that Ricardo look at him. Elena said nothing, but was shocked.
  • Gustavo entered Alonso's office to tell him that Ramiro was at large. He thought it possible that Ramiro was out of the country. Alonso didn't think so because Ramiro would want to be somewhere familiar and he had heard no reports on anyone matching his description.
  • Miguel's lawyer asked whether he was distracted by the phone conversation. He said Yes and to the next question he said he was driving faster. “I had to save the children.” He tried to appeal to Elena, but his lawyer asked him why he took drugs. He admitted to being addicted and then blamed Ricardo for himself having taken more than his usual dose that day. Because he hit him and kidnapped the children.
“So you took cocaine because you were nervous?” his lawyer asked.
The prosecutor objected. The defense attorney said that his client used drugs to relieve the stress so he could help his girlfriend. He had no further questions. The prosecution called Elena and she was sworn in. The prosecutor asked whether the defandant's testimony was true. She said No and that her son saw him consuming the drugs in the bathroom. When the defendant realized this he became violent and shoved the boy into the wall.
Miguel tried to deny this and the judge silenced him. Elena then testified that the children became nervous, called Ricardo, and he came over to rescue them. The prosecutor asked whether she was aware of the defendant's drug use. She said Yes and he asked whether the defendant offered her drugs. She said Yes and answered No when asked whether she ever accepted. No further questions.
Elena looked at Miguel who said “Elena, don't say that” before she resumed her seat. He called after her but she ignored him. The judge requested closing statements.
The defense attorney stated that his client is not a drug trafficker, only an addict, and therefore deserved a minimum sentence. The prosecutor said that Elena's testimony almost makes the defendant a pusher and should be sentenced accordingly. The judge adjourned the court and left. Elena deliberately kept her back to the defendant's cell.
  • Alonso had been on the phone with Interpol and there was no news yet. An alert was issued, also that Ramiro had properties in other Mexican states. He and Gustavo left the office.
  • Miguel was sentenced to ten years. He began protesting. The judge quoted the code numbers and concluded the proceedings. He left the courtroom. Miguel kept appealing to Elena who finally told him she was sorry for what happened. As the police led Miguel from the cell Ricardo led Elena out of the courtroom.
  • Carlos got back to the office to find Aaron there looking for any update on Elena, who had not answered his calls. Carlos explained that she had been in an accident. Aaron was not sure how to proceed. Carlos asked whether he had the power to proceed on her behalf and he said Yes. He told him to then proceed with the reply to Ricardo's petition for recognition on the grounds that it was in Elena's best interests. Aaron looked a little confused.
  • Olivia was working at her computer when Leonardo entered with a surprise gift. A pale blue teddy bear and a box of her favorite chocolates.
  • Does that Teddy Bear portend a future child? That's something Olivia wants a little too much. They need not to move so fast.
  • Aaron thought the case was dead in the water but Carlos told him to handle it as best he could. He took his briefcase and left. Alan tried to tell Carlos this was not going to work as he thought but Carlos said he didn't care. All that mattered to him was for Elena to alienate Ricardo from the children. “If he gets between Alejandra and me, he pays the consequences.”
  • Ricardo took Elena home from the court and she said she was a little more at peace. She knew she had made a serious mistake inviting Miguel to her home and leaving him alone with the children. She had not thought of their safety when she did this and she didn't know what would have happened to her if anything had happened to them. He said not to worry because the children had the both of them to take care of and protect them.
She took this opportunity to try to seduce him with a kiss. He put his right arm in between them.
Some people are better at coupling than others and often the motive is the deciding factor. Leonardo may be ready to settle down but is he ready for parenthood yet? Elena needs to resolve her own ego issues before considering getting into another relationship, which means that she needs to understand that this should not be with her ex. Ricardo needs to watch the competition for Alejandra so she doesn't fall into Carlos' trap.
Carlos himself needs to see when he isn't wanted. Roberto needs a lot of self-examination if he is to be with Victoria. That could take several social seasons. Until next we meet Behind Mansion Walls, I'm Christopher Mason.

Thanks, Urban. Top notch recap, as usual. That "courtroom" (and I use the term loosely) scene with Miguel was hilarious. First of all, why was Ric NOT looking at him as he testified? I would think that a seasoned attorney, such as the Brick is supposed to be, would watch any witness closely, to catch nuances, body language, etc - just out of habit. Then when Miguel yells at him, "Look at me!" (HUH? Who's on trial here?) and only then, Ric slowly turns his "death stare" (which actually comes off as a rather constipated look) toward him. Comedy!! Unintentional, of course. Then Miguel says, "Yes, I crashed! But only because I was distracted by her arguing with him! It's ALL his fault!" Ummm .... hey, Miguel? Buddy? You're not on trial because you crashed, Einstein. You're here for being under the influence and possession!! Priceless!

It could be because the evidence was sufficient for conviction. Miguel had stuff on him and in his system and there were medical reports. Besides, the guy disgusted him.

What bothered me the most about the trial was that Federico should have been called to testify that he saw Miguel snorting the white stuff and that he pounded on Natalia's bedroom door afterward. Or are children under 18 not called as witnesses in criminal trials in Mexico?

Always a treat UA. I look forward to this with my morning Irish Breakfast Tea. The coupling theme is excellent and I love your puckish alter ego's wise and witty pronouncements.

Coupling I'm Christopher Mason. Most people in the world want to be part of a couple. They enjoy the idea of having a partner in life's adventures... or an accomplice in their crimes. In today's story we will see several who seem to know what they want, but don't always get it.

These telenovelas do send mixed messages. Characters are always being told to "luchar por su amor" and often the results are dire. I liked Christopher's message much better....

"You can't always get what you want"

That seems to be the secret to maturity, kindness and peace...instead of the constant finagling, manipulating, scheming and betraying we see in these stories. Of course it's the finagling, manipulating, scheming and betraying that keep us hooked!...but also keeps these hapless characters chained down as well.

Loved Victoria's line..."Finally my friend's heart is in good hands."

And your sobriquet for Vic, "Dame Justice".

I'll look forward to seeing this sometime today or this weekend. But in the meantime, I had the treat of your artful, always beautifully crafted recap with perfect pictures.

Wishing everybody a wonderful Friday and an even better fin de semana.

Omigosh, UA, Christopher was on fire today…!

“How do you tell [your children] that such a marital reunion would be a fairy tale of its own kind? One that would inspire nightmares.”

“Alejandra needs to learn to play hardball, despite that it might not be cricket.”

“The real question here is whether Roberto would be capable of fidelity even to his Dame Justice.”

“Alonso looked as though he saw something that poisoned the handshake.”

“Roberto needs a lot of self-examination…that could take several social seasons.”

And I absolutely loved that “naughty elf” pose you caught Alejandra in. Too much!

Alejandra needs to figure out if she's ready to be with a man with children/attachments from a previous relationship and if she's ready to fight for her place.

She's not ready or willing to do any of that, so IMO she should move on from Rick.

She should also figure out if she wants Carlos back or not. If she doesn't, she needs to let him know and stop letting him hang around all the time. I think Alejandra secretly enjoys the attention and enjoys having the two men fight over her, even as she protests she's not a piece of property.

Leo (or Roberto or random dude) might already have a bun in the oven if his ex-fiancee ever comes back with a baby in tow. If Oli is also pregnant, that's gonna be a mess.

Rick needs to figure out if he wants to continue to invest in a woman who isn't that interested in fighting for their relationship. Say what you will about Elena, but at least she's fighting to get back with Rick, even though it may be futile. Alejandra runs away at the first sign of trouble with Rick, yet stays in Carlos' orbit.

Honestly, Alejandra can go away for Season 2 and the show would not be missing a thing. She's lackluster, weak, sometimey and wishy washy. And she needs to get rid of that tacky Chanel bag.

--Anon 207

I actually think the novela would get interesting if Elena suddenly has a real chance at getting Ricardo back. Somehow Ricardo sympathized with Gustavo, who cheated for over a year with Milena on Isabel, yet he can't bring himself to forgive Elena? He probably didn't love her by the time the cheating happened.

Alejandra and Olivia can both disappear for the second season. They're ridiculously immature. I'd rather watch Victoria, but with someone who isn't Roberto. He just doesn't seem like he'll change.

Anon1146

Olivia is comic relief, so she can stay. Alejandra can exit stage left (but Paula can stay).

Ricardo wanted to move on from Elena long before the cheating happened; her cheating was the justification he needed to cut her loose. But he needs to own that because the tale he is spinning is that Elena cheated on him and that's why he had to leave.

So if Elena had never cheated on him, but they were still distant, would they still be married? I think they would still be married & he would've stayed for the kids. Her cheating was the excuse he needed to be away from her but still be around for the kids. I still contend he fell in love with the kids and she was just part of the package.

I want Elena to get strong and stand on her own two feet and not depend on a man. Set visitation schedules with Rick and concentrate on herself. Right now she's punishing herself for cheating on Rick, thinking that's the reason he doesn't want to be with her when the reality is he didn't want to be with her in the first place but she was just a package deal with the kids. That's why she uses the kids to hurt Rick.

Some of you have not been on the blog line like enough to know Carlos, but he was a great recapper and commenter and a great friend to many. He passed away Wednesday of a heart attack. His wife, whom he always referred to as "the lovely Linda" was at his side. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him well. Truly one of a kind.

JudyB, thanks for letting us know. Carlos was brilliant. He was so witty and gentlemanly too. I always enjoyed his comments. My condolences to his wife and family.

RIP, Carlos. I enjoyed his recaps and comments. I'd been missing them in the last few tns. Condolences to his family.

Thanks, Urban. You and Christopher dished up a terrific recap. My fave: Alejandra needs to learn to play hardball, despite that it might not be cricket.

I don’t want Ale to be a “stand by your man no matter how badly he treats you” type, but she knows why Ric is at Elena’s and that it’s temporary. How about letting him know that he’s worth waiting for -- IF that’s how she feels.

Irene, I hope you have a chance to tell us what you think of Miguel’s trial. At least this time the case was tried by a prosecutor and the defense lawyer didn’t purposely work against his own client. If Miguel is not a dealer but possessed enough cocaine for only his use and had no priors, 10 years seems harsh to me.

Oli and Leo have gotten on my nerves, but they were so cute and happy the morning after that now I do want to see them in part 2.

Alonso doesn’t trust Carlos one bit. As for Benji still managing the Foundation’s funds, any board with an ounce of common sense would put him on hold after seeing him stuff his pockets with fat wads of cash. Even Ale seemed surprised Carlos was keeping him on.

This from his nephew John

Dr. Judy,

When you think of Carlos; imagine being with a highly intelligent John Wayne, he wore a cowboy hat and boots every day of his life. He was eccentric but in a way you wanted to emulate. God broke the mold once he made my Father and Uncle Charlie.

Quite a difference between Our Carlos (Uncle Charlie) and Carlos Ibarra.

What a beautiful description provided by Carlos's nephew. It was easy too "see" Carlos was highly intelligent and had a razor-sharp wit and much class, but I hadn't a clue about his cowboy hat and boots. A life well lived. May he rest in peace.

I hate Ricardo. Why? Let me count the ways... he dotes too much on those kids...his face says it all....no emotion or over emoting...How can he possible be in love with Ale so soon... oh and he treats those kids like they were 6 and 8, why wouldn’t he look at Miguel!!

Judy, thank you for the sad news regarding Carlos. I've been missing him and his avatars, usually of some exotic drink. I would sometimes read comments on other TNs, even ones I wasn't watching, just to read Carlos' witty insights.

I haven't thanked the recappers here, Urban, Jardinera, and Blue Lass, enough as this TN is pretty awful, but they make it tolerable and fun. As do the commenters!

I am so sadenned to hear about Carlos passing away. I fondly remember his comments as always being very helpful with our medical questions, especially, during beanie cap moments; the staunch supporter of most female villains, Maria in LQLVMR or everything about Leisha Wilkins. He always loved to support the female bad girl.

I'll also remember him from his gracious addition of his 'lovely Linda'.
And his cocktails which I had no idea what they were or meant.

JudyB I don't know how you found out about Carlos's parting, but I'm thankful you shared this sadness with us. Please pass my condolences on to his family.

BTW has Vivi been heard from recently? I've missed her.

Vivi is fine, Victoria. Working and traveling. Busy in all kinds of good ways.

Carlos' nephew was good enough to let me know when his health first took a turn for the worse, several months ago, and again today to let me know of his passing. Carlos and I were in contact by email so John knew I would be worried when I didn't hear from him. And also that I would want to pray for his recovery.

He was a wonderful friend, an incomparable storyteller and a gift to all who knew him.

Uncle Charlie “Carlos” was exactly as you all saw him. He was one of the most intelligent people I’ve known, even while lying with tubes and needles everywhere, he held on to his dark humor and funny sarcasm. He talked in code with the docs trying to get them to listen to him, my favorite thing he did was asking his cardiologist if he had heard of Sir William Osler, of course his doc said No. Uncle Charlie told him to go look him up. Osler is famous for saying Listen to the patient. He is telling you the diagnosis.
He and my Father did this all my life which was maddening but also intellectually stimulating and I have so many great memories of their ability to communicate and teach with a twist.

John

JudyB, thank you for letting us know about Carlos. I am very interested in medicine, so I enjoyed reading his informative and interesting comments. I will always remember his humour, intelligence and wit.
May he rest in peace.

Urban, thank you for yet another wonderful recap, your third in less than a week! You definitely are a superwoman and your dedication is unparalleled.

It's always such a pleasure to read Christopher's clever remarks, but last night he was simply superb, both witty and profound at the same time:

"When one's children are as emotionally immature as Natalia, how do you tell them that such a marital reunion would be a fairy tale of its own kind? One that would inspire nightmares."
"Considering the patters of behavior, we know that Alejandra will misinterpret this and Elena will take shameless advantage of the situation. Alejandra needs to learn to play hardball, despite that it might not be cricket"
"Of course, the real question here is whether Roberto would be capable of fidelity even to his Dame Justice"
"After he left Alonso looked as though he saw something that poisoned the handshake."
"Roberto needs a lot of self-examination if he is to be with Victoria. That could take several social seasons."

Great job Urban, and thank you for your dedication.

Irene

Thanks Irene. Carlos was always informative, always funny, and liked to throw in an outrageous comment from time to time just to see the reaction. But he truly cared about people...his patients, his friends, his family.

Now my friend, we have passed the teaching mantle on to you...not that you'll be giving us medical advice, but boy do you educate us on legal matters!

And you care. As did Carlos.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts and memories. It helps me to "talk" about this with you because I am feeling a tremendous loss right now. And I just can't imagine how it feels for his family. Gone too soon.

RIP Dr. Carlos :(

Remarkable recap Urban.

These lawyers give some of the sorriest closing arguments,"my client

Is not doing nothing to fight for him.
So far it's a one sided fight. She is
Half assin it with carlos. Why are they fighting so hard for this useless

Thank you Urban,this was fun.
You to chris.

JudyB, I am so sorry about your loss. I am sure Carlos knew how much you cared about him and was happy to have such a caring, loving and goodhearted friend.

Irene

That is a loss to this community. Carlos was always there with calling out the writers on their medical myths and fantasies, even if his defense of villanas got on some of our nerves.

He will be sorely missed.

As far as the episode is concerned, I almost needed an insuline shot from all that Olivia and Leo saccharine sweetness and sudden incandescent love. He was always in love with her, really? Then why was he almost married to the cheating bimbo; ignored Oli's obvious attempts at wooing him; told her that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with anyone and completely ignored her existence(when she wasn't tied to a bed, that is). Where was his love then?!
I don't buy this romance at all and frankly don't understand her jumping into bed with him on their first date, especially after the traumatic experience that she had with whatshisname that hit her and tied her to the bed.
Oh, well, moving on.

Brick read the same toddler princess book to his prepubescent daughter, again, and now I am officially out of barf bags.

The trial actually could have been worse. At least Brick wasn't prosecuting and this is the first time that the prosecutor actually gave a somewhat appropriate opening statement. However, it all went downhill from there. Miguel was actually charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute (because the amount of drugs found in his car exceeded what the law considers to be for personal use. If I am not mistaken, he was also charged with a DUI.
As anon 3:15 said, the reason why he drove under the influence is irrelevant as far as the DUI and possession with intent to distribute are concerned, but even assuming that it were somehow relevant in Mexican law (which it is not), then questioning Elena about something that she wasn't privy to is certainly not the way to go. Whatever Elena heard from Fede and from Brick is hearsay and cannot be admitted as evidence in any court (be it a Mexican court or any other court).

Of course, everything about this prosecution was laughable, starting with the absence of testimonies and cross examinations of police officers that were at the scene of the crash(who found the drugs, where were the drugs found, why was the vehicle searched, when was the vehicle searched, was the vehicle left unattended at any time, was the chain of custody intact and many many more issues that need to be examined), the paramedics that were at the scene (did they arrive first on the scene, what did they see, did they move anything, was the vehicle unattended for any period of time etc...),the doctors, the experts (as far as the validity of the determination that traces of cocaine were found in Miguel's system)etc..
Fede should have testified as to him seeing Miguel snorting coke just before the accident- the prosecutor shouldn't rely on blood test result alone because there are a lot of ways in which a competent defense attorney can attack it (the blood sample was contaminated , handled inappropriately (during collection, storage or testing) etc...)
Brick should have testified for the same reason, relaying Fede's call about Miguel smelling white stuff.

There is a lot more to say about this, but I need to lift my behind from the comfy chair and finally force myself to go to the gym.

Irene

I contend Leo fell in love with Oli when he saw her naked tied up to that bed.

Ha! anon207. You might be right! Thats when noticed her for sure.

Thank you Urban for exquisite recap.

I remember Carlos, and how he liked the bad girls, especially Maria and Leisha. I remember several things he said. When him and “lovely Linda” had margs and fresh seafood. A restaurant named “Frida’s”. He led a charmed life.
He was a fellow texan. Brillant, down to earth, and said it like was.

Thanks Juby B, for letting us know. I will keep him and his family in prayer. He was an original for sure, one of a kind.
