Eva
continues her meeting with the private investigator and tells him she
needs pictures and recordings of conversations. The PI can get on it,
but he’ll need more money to install cameras and microphones. Eva
has no qualms about paying more, the PI just needs to tell her how
many zeros to add on the check…she needs that evidence to prove
that Lucía and Johny are lovers. You may need more than one PI
Evie.
In
Johny’s office, Lucía relishes in talking about Eva’s reaction
to her proposal…it was poetic. Johny compliments and congratulates
Sra. Lucía on a job well done. When he remarks that the student
outdoes the teacher, Lucía responds that the teacher did a good job
and that deserves much merit. Johny gets fresh and starts stroking
Lucía’s legs, but she reminds him that they are at the office (and
he surely isn’t the chauffeur?). Johny misses her and wants to
shout to the world that they are an item. Lucía gives a look of
annoyance and tells Johny that is enough. Item? Like week old milk.
At
the hotel, Beltrino tells the investigator that he has nothing to do
with the dead body, he has only seen the man a couple of times in his
whole life. When the investigator asks if Santos was alive when
Beltrino arrived, Beltrino assures him that Santos was dead…the
investigator can ask the hotel manager who entered with him. The
investigator then asks why Beltrino was going through Santos’s
things. When Beltrino replies that he and Santos had a common friend
and that he was looking for the friend’s number, the investigator
tells him that he will have to go into the station to give his
statement. Beltrino doesn’t thinks he should have to go, so the
investigator explains that they will have to wait for the forensic
report…in the meantime, Beltrino needs to cooperate and get in the
patrol car. Beltrino argues that Santos died on his own, but the
investigator calls over the cops to put Beltrino in the patrol car
voluntarily or by force. Meanwhile, León/Chino/Jacobo (LCJ) arrives
at the entrance and parks the car as the hotel employee tells the
owner that the hotel has been closed down. When LCJ asks what
happened, the manager replies that a guest died…his name was Santos
Pereira. As Beltrino is been driven out, he sees LCJ and blurts out
that that is him. He whistles at LCJ to get his attention, but LCJ is
on the phone with Cami telling him how Santos was found dead. While
Beltrino struggles and pleads with the cops to stop, LCJ tells Cami
that the manager told him that a friend of Santos found the body, but
he didn’t get his name. Cami wonders if it was the other
transmigrant, and LCJ worries about the whole situation. Cami then
tells LCJ to stay put, he is on his way over.
At
the hospital, the doctor tells Lupita that her recovery has been
exceptional, he can even start the paperwork for her dismissal that
afternoon. Juls is happy and wants to call Pancho so that he can take
them back to Milagros’s place, but Lupita doesn’t want to go back
there, the goons may know that they were living there. When Juls asks
what they are going to do, Lupita replies that they are going to just
disappear…just as if she had really died.
At
Pancho’s house, Pancho tells his wife that he is getting ready to
go to work, but she knows better, She knows he hasn’t gone to work
so that he can be with the criminal. Milagros told her that he has
been seeing the criminal and everyone is gossiping that they see him
with her. She also knows that that is why he got beaten up, so he
needs to decide—his family or that criminal. After the wife leaves,
the daughter, who had been eavesdropping, worries.
At
the public ministry, Beltrino is still complaining about being taken
in. When he mentions that he has a sick child in the hospital, the
investigator responds that that’s more reason for him to cooperate.
Beltrino is irked and has never heard of anyone being put in the can
because someone died of natural causes…since Santos wasn’t shot
or slashed…nothing… it had to be a heart attack. The investigator
wonders if Beltrino is a doctor, so Beltrino replies that he is a
university professor…and he is the most interested in finding out
what happened to Santos. When the investigator asks why, Beltrino
responds that the death hurt him. Just then, Beltrino gets an asthma
attack and quickly gets his inhaler as he slouches down on a chair.
As the investigator watches him, Beltrino tells him that he is
wasting his time with him.
At
Barbara’s house, a priest finishes blessing her house and leaves.
After Barb sits down relieved that her house is clean of all spirits,
she hears a mysterious voice say, “We are just starting with you.”
Barb looks around and freaks out as she runs out of the house saying
that the house is damned…and the crystal ball glows.
In
her office, Lucía smiles wide as she daydreams about her recent
encounter with LCJ. She swivels her chair around and sees León’s
picture so she quickly swivels back as her smile fades. Just then,
Armenta calls so Lucía pretends to be very busy, but Armenta only
called to ask what her favorite color is.
Armenta
insists that it is just a simple question, so Lucía responds that it
is red. When Armenta tells her to have a good afternoon and hangs up,
Lucía is surprised and thinks he is very strange.
At
the company cafeteria, Renata tells Keila that Keila was right,
Mayela does know about her and Guille since she has been asking a lot
of questions and acting odd. Keila responds that her sixth sense is
never wrong and warns Renata to be careful with that woman…she
might cast a spell on her or make her lose her job. Behind them Teo
is getting his tray and starts to head for their table, but then sees
Guille approach and sit down with the ladies, so he goes to a nearby
table. Guille tells Keila that Renata has told him that she is like a
sister to her. When he asks what they were talking about, the girls
hesitate, so Guille assumes they were talking about him and Renata,
but the girls giggle and deny it. Keila makes up some story about
Portugal and the economy, but Guille doesn’t but it and teases them
since they are always together and talking. The girls tell him it’s
just girl talk, but Guille thinks they could also be talking about
men. That IS girl talk Guille.
In
her dressing room, Mayela tells Vicky that she suspects that Guille
and Renata are going out. Vicky thinks it would make headlines. When
Mayela tells her that she’d better not dare, Vicky reminds her that
it is her job to keep the world informed. Mayela insists that Vicky
not mention anything since they are not sure…and what will everyone
think when they find out that Guille left her for a secretary. After
Vicky agrees, Mayela blames herself for losing Guille since she
pressured him so much instead of letting things happen as they
should. Vicky agrees and tells her that she was only doing things out
of love…and if Mayela were to be the male in the relationship,
she’d probably be in jail for sexual assault, they laugh.
At
the hospital, Lupita tells Pancho that she worries because she can’t
go back to where they were living and she doesn’t know where to go.
When she suggests that they could go stay with family in Matamoros,
Juls blurts out that they can’t go there. Pancho backs up Lupita
and tells Juls that it would hurt him very much if they left, but
they have to do whatever is best to keep Lupita safe. Juls walks off
upset.
At
the university, Vale thanks Lucho for donating blood and taking their
other friends. After Lucho tells Vale that he doesn’t want to lose
her and wants to show her that he can change. Vale gets a call from
Juls to tell her that her mother will be released that afternoon and
that her mother wants to go to Matamoros. When Vale responds that
they can’t leave and that there must be some other option, Juls
admits that she doesn’t want to go, but her mother thinks it would
be safer so that she won’t be found. Juls hangs up because the
doctor arrives. Lucho sees that Vale is upset and asks her what’s
wrong, but Vale has to leave and runs off. The handwriting is on the
wall...Lurch, more like a billboard.
At
the hotel, Cami arrives and LCJ tells him that Santos’s body has
been taken away. LCJ is annoyed that every time they seem to get
close to finding an answer, someone dies. Cami wants to ask around
and maybe contact he investigator to see what the forensics report
concluded. When Cami suggests that Santos already accomplished what
he needed to do, LCJ suggests that maybe he was taken because he did
not accomplish his mission. LCJ is upset and wonders if death is just
playing games, and Cami is exasperated since Santos was the one who
had more answers and had a better understanding of the situation. LCJ
then points out that they only have Maru now. Meanwhile, Hec-Maru is
walking heavily to go sit at the bleachers as the two bullies say
nasty things about her weight. Back at the hotel, LCJ is irked that
they not only lost Santos, they also lost the transmigrant he had
brought. Cami wonders if Santos left LCJ any type of contact info, so
LCJ tells him that Santos gave him nothing…what’s important to
LCJ is to know how much time he has left. As he repeats that that is
the only thing he cares about, Death Chick listens from her car as
she looks at a clock whose second hand is moving quickly. From her
car? Who knew? I just assumes she trans...motivated everywhere or
something.
At
the school volley ball court, the girls are getting ready to play
when the coach tells the bully team that Hec-Maru will be on their
team. As they start to run as a warm-up, one of the girls kicks
Hec-Maru’s foot making her stumble. Maru turns and pushes the girl
who starts crying out, but the coach intervenes and separates
Hec-Maru from the girl. The coach leads Hec-maru away and tells her
to calm down…sometimes she just doesn’t act like the other girls.
Beltrino
is at Barbara’s telling her about Santos and how he was taken in
for questioning…the cops don’t even have respect for university
professors. He then adds that being so close to the cop, he had to
restrain himself from smashing in his face. When Barb tells him to
relax because everything will be okay, Beltrino tells her he will not
rest until he finds that Jacobo guy. Barb then tells her Beltrino
that she is leaving her place because it is haunted, she even brought
in priest to ward off the evil spirits, but the evil spirit that is
after her is still there. Beltrino believes her because now anything
is possible, especially since he saw his body walking around. Barb
thinks that what happened to Beltrino is heavy-duty stuff. Beltrino
is quite somber and miffed about seeing his own body, he just doesn’t
understand it. When he tells Barb that she needs to help him find
Jacobo, Barb wonders what he is going to do. Beltrino wants to tell
the guy to give him back his body, but Barb thinks he is being
unrealistic…how does he expect the guy to just return his body,
it’s not as easy as he thinks. Beltrino is frustrated because he
doesn’t know. Beltrino then calms down and hands Barb her money,
she is elated and gives him a tight hug and tells him that whatever
happens, he can count on her. Beltrino gives her a callous look and
tells Barb that she is definitely going to help him, he needs to know
who it is that has his body. Barb tells him to sit down for a card
reading.
At
the Carvajal home, Eva is busy working when she notices LCJ eating a
tomato just like her father did. When she asks how he is doing with
the request she made of him regarding Lucía, LCJ doesn’t know how
to answer so he tells her he’s not a very good spy, he only takes
her to and from work. Eva mentions that is not the information that
she has gotten. When LCJ questions her, Eva comments that she always
warned her father that he was marrying the wrong woman, but he never
listened to her. LCJ responds that sometimes parents don’t know how
to read their children…not that he has children but he has worked
with families and has made that observation.
At
the school, the girls are playing basketball and trying to avoid
getting the ball to Hec-Maru, but she manages to get the ball and
makes the basket. After she starts yelling at them asking what they
think of that, she starts gasping for air, so the coach comes and
tells her that she shouldn’t be over-exerting herself because of
her weight. He tries to give her advice about better ways to lose
weight, but Hec-Maru growls that he has no idea what it’s like to
live in a fat body.
In
Johny’s office, Susana is handing him her report and wonders why he
wanted her to bring it to him when she could have very easily
e-mailed it. After Johny reminds her that he wants their relationship
to improve, Lucía walks in, so Susana leaves. Lucía wonders if
Johny is interested in Susana…she can tell by the look on his face,
but Johny denies it. Lucía then tells Johny about Armenta’s phone
call, she thinks Armenta is up to no good. When she tells Johny that
she will not tolerate Armenta making more advances, Johny fumes and
tells her that if Armenta dares to touch her, he will kill him…and
she’d better give him (Johny) his proper place…always! ♪♪And
it’s too late, baby, now its’s too late♪♪
Valentina
is in the kitchen looking at pictures of her and Juls when she
overhears Tiberio complaining to Silvina about the electricity
charges they have for their house in Xochimilco (which is a one of
the mayoralities within Mexico City) which they never use. Vale calls
them over and explains what is going on with Juls and her mother.
Vale needs a place where they can stay for a while and asks if they
would be willing to let them use their house. Silvina doesn’t look
too willing, but Tiberio quickly tells her that they can use the
house since Don León had given them the house so that their children
could live there, but the children are long gone now. Vale hugs and
thanks them before she rushes off to tell Juls.
At
the hospital, Juls enters Lupita’s room and tells her that her bill
has already been paid by her guardian angel, Beltrino. As Juls and
Pancho are wheeling Lupita out of her room, Pancho gets a call. After
Juls teases Lupita about liking Beltrino, Pancho comes and tells
Lupita that he knows of a hotel where they can stay. Lupita declines
the offer since they have no money to pay with. Just then, Vale
arrives with a bouquet of roses and the offer to have them stay at a
home that belongs to some of her employees. Lupita again declines
since they can’t pay rent and Vale has already done too much for
them. Vale assures her that they will not have to pay anything and
that the house is cozy…a perfect place to stay, so Lupita
hesitantly agrees to stay for a few days.
At
the jail, a guard takes Mugres his tray of food. Mugres isn’t
hungry, but when the guard tells him to make sure to at least eat the
beans since they are loaded, Mugres gets the tray. Once alone he
looks through the beans and finds a note, “If you talk, you die
from rat poisoning. Enjoy!”
Eva
swaggers into her scorpion-lover’s nest where Alacrán waits with a
stuffed teddy bear. She can’t believe such a misbehaved man could
give her such a cute gift, Alacrán, however, has another surprise
for her. He grabs and pulls her in for liplocks and pushes her toward
the bed.
At
the company, Susana goes to see Mateo looking quite disgusted. She is
fed up with Johny and his pushing her to write accolades about
(no)S-Bueno who is so dumb. When she asks what he is up to, he smiles
and tells her he has very good news…they have an informant within
the Cartel de los Sierra who is willing to tell all…they will
expose all those criminals.
Hec-Maru
enters her house slamming doors and ranting about having to put up
with those bratty girls at school. Hec-Maru knew a lot of girls in
his PE classes and none were as spoiled and mean as those in this
school. Hec-Maru then shouts at Maru’s mother that it’s all
because of Maru’s fat body…no wonder Maru would lock herself up
in her room and stop going to school…because of this body! The
mother tells Hec-Maru that her daughter was very depressed those last
months but she never confided anything, so the mother asks Hec-Maru
to have some respect for her.
Beltrino
is sitting by a lake in a wooded area thinking about seeing himself
at the hospital and wondering where the Chino body is. Meanwhile,
LCJ is in the batcave when he sees Lucía arrive and walk up to her
room. She stops dead in her tracks when she sees another origami bird
on the banister near her room. LCJ smiles in satisfaction as Lucía
becomes unhinged and quickly enters her room. (The one on her desk
which she is very sentimental about was given to her by Leon long
ago)
In
Xochimilco, Vale and company arrive at Silvina’s house which for a
house that has not been lived in sure is clean and has plenty of
well-kept plants. Lupita admires the place and is very grateful for
everything Vale has done for them (errr…to keep Juls close by).
Vale and Juls then go to get some groceries leaving Lupita with
Pancho who is helping her look around the house.
At
the Carvajal home, LCJ wonders why he is being sent to Silvina’s
home and why Vale wants him to go there. Silvina criticizes all his
questioning and tells him that Vale can explain if she wants to, Vale
just asked that he take everything in the bag as soon as possible.
Upstairs,
Lucía walks slowly toward her door and opens it, yes the origami
bird is still there. As she moves closer to it, Silvina scares the
heck out of her when she shouts to Lucía that she needs to come
outside. Once outside, Lucía sees a small red car which has been
sent to her along with a message from Armenta—“So that the color
red will always be with you everywhere. A unique color like you, my
lady.” Just then, Eva comes out and asks about the car, so Silvina
tells her that it is a present for Lucía. Eva chuckles as she
comments that the color is horrible and on how quickly Lucía was
able to snatch up another millionaire to give her gifts…she wastes
no time.
LCJ
is on his way to Silvina’s house and seems to be lost as he talks
to Cami on the phone. Cami wants to discuss the report he received on
Santos, but wants to do it in person. When LCJ tells him he will come
over as soon as he finishes with this errand, Cami tells him it is
very serious and important.
At
a parking garage, Vale, Juls and Alirio put the shopping bags into
the vehicle. When Vale notices that the bag with the toiletries is
missing, Alirio tells her he will go for it and asks them to stay in
the car. Inside the car, Juls thanks Vale for finding a place for her
and her mother. Vale admits that she also did it for herself since
she wants Juls close to her. When Juls responds that they will only
stay there for a while since her mother will want to leave the city
when she fully recovers, Vale hopes they stay there a long time since
Lupita seemed to like the house. They then share a tender moment and
a kiss.
At
Silvina’s house, Pancho has to leave to go pick up the kids since
his wife, Brigida, can’t go. He doesn’t want to leave Lupita
alone, but Lupita assures him that Juls should be arriving soon, so
he leaves. As Lupita walks slowly away, there is a knock on the gate.
Lupita smiles thinking it is Pancho, but when she opens the door, she
sees…EL CHINO!!
