Amar a Muerte, 1/9/2019, Episode 46: Don't shoot, I promise I will never wear this again.

Johny has Machado, the accountant, in his office. Machado spills his guts that Cardenas gave him an order. Cardenas wants a detailed report of all the financial transactions that have been made since Don Carbajal’s death.

At Eva’s house, Mateo asks Francisca to help him find his keys. Francisca excuses herself for taking long, but she had to open the door for some men. As Francisca approaches, she is followed by a crew of construction workers. When Mateo asks what they are doing, the leader wants to know if they should start in the bathroom or the kitchen. Mateo has no clue what he is talking about. Eva, then, approaches and shushes Mateo. She then tells Francisca to show the men where to start. After the men follow Francisca, Eva explains to Mateo that she forgot to tell him they were coming, they are going to fix the leaks in the bathroom. Mat thinks he could have fixed that himself, so Eva adds that she has been wanting to remodel the kitchen for years…and this way they can do everything at once. Mateo wonders how they will be able to sleep there while all the construction is going on, so Eva suggests that they stay elsewhere until the jobs are finished. Mateo wants to find his keys quickly so he can go make reservations at a hotel, but Eva has everything under control.

At the hospital, Pancho tells Lupita that the cops are going to double her guard, no one else will enter there, so she needs to be calm so she can recuperate faster. Lupita wonders what’s going to happen to her when she leaves the hospital, she is going to recuperate just so those guys can kill her. Pancho tell her that he will protect her…they will protect her. As Lupita responds that she is grateful, but reminds him that they are talking about people who work for narcos who are intent on killing her, Juls and Vale slowly walk inside. After Pancho assures her that whatever happens, he will be there with her, Vale clears her throat to interrupt and tells them she has an idea that might end all of this. They will need help from someone who works at the hospital, but Vale thinks it could work.

At the scorpion’s nest, Mugres is having fits because Carmelo couldn’t get the job done. Carmelo thinks they were waiting for them. When Mugres asks who it could have been, When Carmelo replies, “El Chino,” Mugres smirks and tells Carmelo to get two double tequilas.

Outside the hospital, Leon/Chino/Jacobo (LCJ) is waiting for Vale when Santos calls him to tell him that he is there in Mexico already. He is there a day early because he had an unexpected job that came up. When Santos tells LCJ that LCJ is in luck because he crossed over someone like them…a transmigrant with the butterfly and all, LCJ starts asking questions about the man, so Santos tells LCJ that he can ask the man himself. The man isn’t there with him now, but he will be seeing in him in a while…the man wants to meet LCJ. LCJ has some things to finish up and will call Santos later to set up a time and place. As LCJ ends the call, several patrol cars arrive and the cops get out with weapons drawn and pointing upwards toward the roof.

Inside the hospital, Beltrino is with Alicia and denies hearing any shots. When she asks what he is looking at, he tells her there are several patrol cars so something must have happened. Alicia responds that that is what she has been trying to tell him, but he isn’t listening to her. Beltrino then asks Alicia if she has already informed the doctor that they have the money for the transplant. Alicia replies that they have an appointment with the doctor to get the test results, they can tell him then. When Alicia wants reassurance that the money isn’t dirty, Beltrino chides her for singing her same old song. In other words, VERY....He asks if she wants her son to get well or not, Alicia, of course, responds that she does want him to get well.

At the scorpion’s nest, Mugres is talking to Alacrán on the phone and tells him about El Chino. Alacrán is annoyed that El Chino made fools of them again. Alacrán then orders Mugres to off Lupita…and he wants Mugres to do it himself. Mugres assures him that he will take care of it personally. Alacrán reminds Mugres that he is in charge and needs to prove that he can handle it…in regards to El Chino, Alacrán will take him out him himself, he will be returning as soon as he can. When Alacrán suggests that they probably moved Lupita to another hospital, Mugres tells him not to worry, he’ll take her out today.

In Lupita’s room, Vale is paying off the nurse who is going to help them. Juls wonders if this will work and asks where Vale got the idea. Vale admits that it wasn’t her idea, the chauffeur came up with that plan. After Juls asks about the chauffeur, Vale tells her she hasn’t met him, but he was very worried.

At the company. Johny asks Machado if he has any idea why Cardenas asked him for the report. Machado responds that he doesn’t question orders, he just follows them. Johny then asks Machado how he perceived Cardenas…was he acting oddly, so Machado replies that yes, Cardenas was different, Cardenas gave him the order with urgency. When Machado didn’t have the report ready, Cardenas was very upset and yelled at him. Johny assures Machado that he will take care of Cardenas, he does appreciate Machado’s trust in coming to talk to him and demonstrating that he is part of his work team. After Machado leaves, Johny plops down looking discombobulated.

In the coffee area of the company, Renata and Keila get a cup of coffee. As they go back to their desks, Keila asks if Renata and Guille cleared things up, but Renata assures her that there was nothing to clear up. Keila persists, so Renata tells her that Guille explained the photo…he and Mayela are not “novios.” Keila wonders if Renata is going to continue referring to Guille as “Señor” now that they are practically novios. Just then, Guille walks past her with another employee and asks her to get them coffee. Renata is taken aback by his formality and responds, “Sí, Señor.” Keila then questions if their relationship is only going to be outside of work or is it going to be something serious. Renata doesn’t want any more questions and walks away.

At a school, Maru, the transmigrant, walks into her classroom and sees an offensive picture on the chalkboard with her name on it. She faces the classmates and asks who did it. When a female student admits that she did it, Maru goes to her and grabs her by the collar, picking her up off the desk and pushing her against the chalkboard. All the students surround them as Maru keeps pushing and yelling at the girl until a teacher comes and breaks up the (one-sided) fight. When the teacher asks who made the drawing, the girl tells the teacher it was Maru. The teacher takes the girl to the school director as she insists that it was Maru who made the drawing. After the teacher and girl leave, Maru goes to her desk crying when another girl comes up to her and tells her they will want a payback.

At the Carbajal home, Silvina sees Mateo and Eva at the entrance. When Silvina asks what is going on and Mateo tells Eva to explain, Eva responds that there is nothing to explain…this is her house, she was born and raised there so she can come stay there whenever she wants. She then tells Silvina to prepare a room for them and to tell Alirio to help with the luggage. After Eva tells her that Mateo and she will be staying there until their house is finished, Silvina asks if they informed Lucía. Just then Lucía walks in and gives Mateo a warm greeting and asks what it is that they need to inform her about. Eva responds that from now on, they will be sharing the same roof. PSA: 'Never think things can not get any worse.'

Outside the school sitting on a bench, a perturbed Hec-Maru looks up to see Camilo approaching. (S)he thought it was LCJ who was supposed to go looking for her. Camilo explains that LCJ asked him to go and would just like to talk to her/im. Hec-Maru responds indignantly that (s)he can do whatever (s)he wants. Cami sits beside her/im and looks around commenting that the area is very pretty, Hec-Maru thinks it’s appalling. Cami has a lot of questions. He wants to know how it is that (s)he is dealing with his new environment on a daily basis. Her-Maru replies that Maru has no friends because friends don’t treat a person badly...that’s a woman thing because men are different. Cami agrees and asks how (s)he is dealing with the bullying. Hec-Maru sarcastically tells him it’s a lot of fun. (S)he walks into the classroom and the chalkboard is full of elephants and whales. (S)he never thought that the worst part of getting accustomed to the body was being ridiculed. Cami comments that adolescence can be harsh, Hec-Maru wants to know when he is going to help her/im get his male body back. Cami assures her/im that he is going to help because that is his purpose, he wants her/im to be as happy as when she was Maru. Hec-Maru reminds him that he is not Maru, he is Hector.

At the Carvajal home Eva explains that their home is being remodeled, surely Lucía will agree that they cannot stay in their home. Mateo doesn’t like to be a bother and prefers to go to a hotel, but Eva insists that there is no need, this house is comfortable and big…and they have Silvina there…there is no need to waste money on a hotel. Eva then turns to Lucía and asks her if she has nothing better to do. Lucía replies that yes, she has many other better things to do, as she leaves, she welcomes Mateo to make himself at home.

At the company, Renata goes in to Guille's office. He wants to dictate an e-mail. After she is ready, Guille starts: I hope that this correspondence finds you well. I write to you with the intent of extending an invitation so that we can see each other as soon as possible. Lately, there have been many changes in my life, and I would like to share them with you. What I am wanting is to check your availability so that you can accompany me to this place that is very special that you will love [Renata looks anguished]. Now, I would appreciate it if you would get rid of that puzzled expression and exchange it for a smile [Renata turns her frown upside down] ...and a confirmation. Will you go with me? I promise that you won’t regret it. Guille tells Renata that that is all, now he needs her personal e-mail address so he can send it. Renata gives him a flirty smile as she stands and tells him that she will need the rest of the day off. They’re about to kiss when Renata stops and shakes her finger at him…and as she looks around she tells him, “Not here!”

At the school, Cami and Hec-Maru are walking as Cami comments that it must be terrible to have the body of an adolescent. When he asks what Hector looked like, Hec-Maru sneers at the question and tells him that no one had ever raised their voice at him and no one ever made fun of him. Cami then asks if Hec-Maru has tried to see his family. Hec-Maru hesitates before responding that she was his wife but he didn’t know how to approach her. Cami reminds Hec-Maru that he told her/im that he was going to help her/im. When he adds that “she’ is not alone, Hec-Maru corrects him and reminds him that (s)he is a “he.” Oh crap, maybe just 'ya'll'. ?

At the Carvajal home, Mateo and Eva are unpacking. Mateo thinks that Eva is doing all of this just to be on top of what Lucía is doing. When Eva responds that the world doesn’t revolve around Lucía, Mateo tells her that he knows her very well. After Mateo goes to get more things from the car, Eva picks up a picture of her and her father. She sits on the bed as she lovingly strokes the photo and smiles as she remembers her father asking why she wanted to go study in France when her place was there. Eva responded that she passed all her exams and it was her dream. Her father told her that he had dreams too, but he set them aside for her, for the family and or the company. He got stern and told her that she would someday have a family…she had to stay there and study administration because he wants to one day be proud of her. León then told her that she would accompany him to the company every day and saturate herself with everything that happened there because someday she would be heading the company. After her memory, Eva cries inconsolably. We suspect she just realized she sat on a wasp or something?

Outside, Lucía tells Silvina that she will need to help her with Eva, Eva can’t go around as if she owned he house. Silvina is concerned because Lucía knows how Eva is and Silvina doesn’t feel like she can tell Eva what she can and can’t do. Lucía thinks that the remodeling is just something Eva made up…Eva just wants to be there all the time to bother her. After Lucía tells Silvina that her room should always be under lock and key, she gets a call from Sarmento who wants to know how she liked the present he sent her. When Lucía comments that he has good taste, Sarmento agrees and tells her it is easy to get accustomed to good things…and it is time that they meet again. Lucía agrees, so Sarmento tells her that this time he wants her to go to his home so she can start getting accustomed to the good stuff. Gag... Viagra, Depends, oatmeal, bullets. Yipee

At a different Carvajal house, Guille shows Renata the house that used to be his mother’s favorite. Renata is MUY impressed and comments that it exudes much peace. Guille’s mother used to say the same thing. Guille then shares that, after his mother’s death, his father didn’t like to come to this house. Renata then sees an old photo of the family and teases Guille about looking so bratty…and that he pouted even as a child. When Guille suggests that they go buy some food, Renata wonders how long they will be there, so Guille informs her that he forgot to mention in the email that this would be a kidnapping…he has no idea how long they will be there.

At the hospital, the Scorpion truck arrives. Carmelo, who is still hunched over in pain, gets out and helps his pregnant wife out as Mugres comes around and tells Carmelo that he appreciates Carmelo lending him his wife—her belly is perfect so as not to raise suspicion. Carmelo asks that Mugres take care of his wife and to keep her away from any shooting. After Mugres reminds him that they wouldn’t be there if Carmelo had done his job right, he assures Carmelo that nothing will happen to his wife. As Mugres and Carmelo’s wife start walking into the hospital, LCJ spots them and stares at them suspiciously.

In Lupita’s former room, Juls and Vale look out the window. Vale sees that Juls is very nervous, so she assures her that this will turn out well. She gives Juls a reassuring hug that lingers.

Once inside the hospital, Mugres tells Carmelo’s wife that Lupita has probably been moved. When the wife suggests that she can go ask for the room number, Mugres tells her that they are probably being very cautious and won’t give any information, but that she can use her condition to distract the nurse. After the wife walks over to the nurse’s station and pretends to get a contraction, the nurse takes her to get help. Meanwhile, Mugres goes to the computer to look for Lupita’s information. He smirks when he sees that she is dead and takes a selfie as he stands beside a photo of a “dead’ Lupita. Oh Boy. Alacran will enjoy this little prank.

At the Carbajal home, Lucía comes out and is met by Alirio. She assumes that LCJ is busy, so Alirio explains that LCJ asked him to be on call for Lucía that day. After she sends LCJ a text message, she gets into the vehicle. Alirio punches in the star coordinates of the Enterprise and engages the warp drive.

Outside the hospital, LCJ receives the message from Lucía: In case you are interested, I’m on my way to Servando Armenta’s house. Absolutely terrified. LCJ is miffed.

Inside the hospital, Vale and Juls are walking down hallway as Vale suggests that she can tell LCJ to go for the medications. When she invites Juls to go with her so she can thank him for coming up with the plan, Juls agrees so she can meet him. Oh, Boy!

Coming up the stairs in the hospital, the doctor is glad they got the money, he can now schedule the transplant which needs to be soon based on the test results. He tells them not to worry, the most important thing in these cases is the money and they already have it. When Beltrino tells him that he moved heaven and earth to get the money (as he winks at Alicia) and would do it again to save his son’s life, the doctor congratulates him and tells him he will prepare the paperwork.

Elsewhere in the hospital elevator, Mugres gropes Carmelo’s wife as he tells her that he could be better for her than Carmelo. After C’s wife pushes away his hand as she asks if he already took care of the woman, Mugres tells her it wasn’t necessary. As he continues to grope her, the elevator doors open and Juls and Vale walk in (oh, noes! Keep your mouths shut, girls!) When Mugres gives them both a dirty-minded elevator look, Vale asks him if everything is okay. Mugres responds that all is well, but then stares at Juls and asks if she is El Chino’s daughter. After Juls becomes jittery, Vale puts her arms around Juls and tells Mugres to excuse Juls since her mother just passed away…her mother was kidnapped and shot. C’s wife curses the men who shot Juls’s mother as she give Mugres a hateful look. Mugres then asks how the mother died, so Vale responds that Lupita suffered a heart attack since she had lost so much blood. Juls asks Mugres how he knows El Chino, so Mugres replies that he knew him since they were very young, they lived in the same neighborhood. Mugres enquires about EL Chino and asks where he is so he can give him his condolences. Juls coldly responds that she hasn’t seen him in a long time and she never wants to see him again…it was because of him that they killed her mother. Once the elevator doors open, the girls rush out as Mugres steps out and smirks.

Outside the hospital, LCJ worries about Lucía as he walks and suddenly sees Carmelo. He ducks quickly as Mugres and C’s wife walk to the truck and listens as Mugres tells Carmelo that his bullet did the job because Lupita is already in heaven. When Carmelo asks if he is sure and if he saw El Chino, Mugres assures him that he is sure but he didn’t see El Chino.

Inside the hospital, Juls is upset and knows that they came to kill her mother, the man was obviously a sicario. They come to a window and see that Mugres et al are leaving. Vale is relieved that they believed them since they are leaving. After they hug, Vale tells Juls that she can relax, now they just have to go for the medications. Juls changes her mind about going with Vale since she doesn’t want to leave her mother alone. After Vale agrees to go alone, Juls tells her that she can introduce LCJ to her later and asks her to thank him for the idea. Awkwardly, Vale gives Juls a kiss on the cheek and a hug before she leaves.

Lucía is on her way to Armenta’s house when a silver SUV swerves in front of them to block their path. Then men jump out of the SUV with weapons drawn and tell Alirio that they don’t want to kill anyone. They are there with a message from Armenta. Lucía will need to go with them, the boss is waiting for her. When Lucía shouts out that she can get there on her own, one of the goons grabs Alirio and drags him out of the vehicle as he tells Lucía that if she doesn’t go with them, there won’t be a meeting…and she doesn’t want the boss to get in a bad mood. Lucía gets out of her vehicle and tells Alirio to tell whoever he needs to tell, especially LCJ. After she gets in the vehicle with the goons, one of them takes her purse. Once they take off, black shirt goon tells Lucía that she needs to put on a hood, she can’t see where they are going. After he grabs his weapon (that sounds like it’s made of plastic), Lucía agrees to put on the hood. “You play with fire you're gonna get ...a chicken pot pie? Wait, how does that go?

At the school, Hec-maru calls LCJ and asks if he wasn’t going to go for her/im. After LCJ tells her/im that he had an emergency, s/he tells him that she doesn’t want to talk to the old man anymore. LCJ asks her/im not to refer to Cami like that and assures her/im that Cami has the best of intentions and that they will see each other later that night. LCJ then asks to talk to Cami and tells him that Santos has arrived and has brought another transmigrant.

At the hospital, Alicia is reassuring Javier that he will be well soon, but Javier worries that he might die. Alicia tells him not to think about death, he is twelve years old and has his life before him. When she asks Beltrino to back her up, Beltrino snaps out of his other worries and tells Javier not to be afraid. The operation is the best thing that could happen, it will leave him like new. Javier believes it because his father says so. When Beltrino asks about the cap he brought, Javier tells him that the nurse put it away because it was dirty. After Beltrino gets that cap and puts it on Javier, he tells them he has to make a phone call.

Santos is laying on his bed when Beltrino calls him to ask if he has talked to the other transmigrant. Santos brings him up to speed and tells him that the other man wants to meet him.

At the hospital, Juls goes to see Lupita and tells her that the goons believed that she is dead. When Lupita comments that she doesn’t think she has gotten rid of the goons, Pancho remarks that what the girls did came out well, she won’t have to hide anymore. When he tells her that after today there won’t be any more narcos in her life, Juls adds that neither will El Chino. Lupita is not too happy about Juls’s comment. Meanwhile, Beltrino catches up to the helpful nurse and asks about Lupita. The nurse tells him that Lupita is much better…and that she was made out to be dead so the sicarios will no longer be after her.

Downstairs in the hospital, Juls goes to get the bill for the hospital costs. When she sees the enormous amount of debt, she is in disbelief, so the clerk explains the charges and tells Juls that her mother has no insurance. Juls is disheartened when she is told that the bill will have to be paid in full when Lupita is discharged. As Juls turns around to leave, Montilla shows up and asks to talk to her.

Outside in the vehicle, LCJ tries to call Lucía, but she doesn’t answer. He wonders why she has a phone if she doesn’t answer (she wonders the same thing, buddy, when you don’t answer). Meanwhile, black-shirt goon wonders who Jacobo is since he has been calling Lucía often. As he chuckles, black-shirt goon wonders if someone is wanting to push his boss aside. When he starts to pull apart Lucía’s phone, Lucía tells him not to break her phone. Black-shirt goon tells her that it’s for her own good…since phones can be traced.

Outside the hospital, Vale runs up to LCJ with a bag of lunch and drink. She squeals that they did it! She then tells him about their encounter with the man and pregnant woman in the elevator. LCJ comments that he saw the couple, Vale admits that they were very nervous, but all is well now. She then tells him that all she needs to do now is get some meds for Lupita’s mother, she will need a ride after that. After LCJ agrees, he tells her that he has a commitment that, so, with a big smile, Vale tells him that he can do whatever he wants…he is a genius and an angel. Vale thanks him and tells him that he had a great idea and he saved a woman’s life.

In the Armenta vehicle, black-shirt goon can’t blame Jacobo since Lucía is very attractive. As he tries to kiss her neck, Lucía elbows his nose and removes her hood. He takes out his weapon and points it at her as he curses her and tells her she doesn’t know what she just did…she is going to die…
Yeah right: “Here's your chick Armenta, but I killed her trying to kiss her.” Sure buddy.

Kirby

Great detail. I can always count on you to provide translations for those periods where I can't catch everything. The background noise they add to novelas (and programs in general) make it almost impossible to hear what the characters are saying. Besides at my age, I'm already losing my hearing from having my earbuds on loud the whole time..

Whoa Kirby! What was that crack about old people and oatmeal!? Them's fightin' words, buddy.

Liked your description of the unctuous, anxious Johny.."PLOPS down looking very discombobulated" Yeah, pretty undignified to be scared s...less Johny.

And loved this too: When he adds that “she’ is not alone, Hec-Maru corrects him and reminds him that (s)he is a “he.” Oh crap, maybe just 'ya'll'.

Hector is beyond annoying. But I would imagine he'd connect well to Santos who is a very macho guy, as well as León who combines maleness with tact.

As always a cliffhanger at the end. These writers know how to keep us coming back. Sounds like Beltrán was adorable again. I'm totally hooked on that scoundrel.

Thanks Kirby. You knocked it out of the park, lad.

JudyB who loves her steel-cut oats with blueberries and walnuts, so there!

Ha. The oatmeal was specifically for you and me. You with your steel cut oats and me with my Great Value bulk sizes. I just wish Wally World sold a larger container, or they had it at the Farmer's Co-op. I've eaten it by the tub-full since I was a kid.

Beltrino is turning into a pretty good guy---with bad guy skills. And with a (new to him) wife who is far from a consolation prize.

The budding romance of Renata and Guille is refreshing. Hopefully he took my advice and sent Mayela to cover the illegal Taco trade in Afghanistan. Give Keila her old job. She already has the 'Spanish Weather Girl' look. Woof.

Lucia thinks her manufactured looks and street smarts allows her to safely play with the big dogs. It remains to be seen whether she will learn anything from this latest adventure, given that we assume she will survive.

Armenta is just as reprehensible as Johny in only slightly different ways. Both have no qualms about killing to get what they want. Johny THINKS he is sneakier, while Armenta just thinks he can have anything, including Lucia, with enough guns and goons.

I would love to see her pretend to fall head over heels for him and then maim or kill him. Is Lorena Bobbitt still around?

As though there were not enough disgusting things about Mugres, I'd like to pour gasoline on that hair and burn it off. Groping up his co-worker's 10 months preggers wife in the elevator? Please, with new hair he might end his decades long dry spell.

"In the Armenta vehicle, black-shirt goon can’t blame Jacobo since Lucía is very attractive. As he tries to kiss her neck, Lucía elbows his nose and removes her hood. He takes out his weapon and points it at her as he curses her and tells her she doesn’t know what she just did…she is going to die…
Yeah right: “Here's your chick Armenta, but I killed her trying to kiss her.” Sure buddy."

BEST!!!

Good luck Lucia. You're gonna need it with Grampa Viagra.

Thank you, kirby.

This new transmutation of an adult male into a young girl is interesting.I

Lucia is playing with a lot of very dangerous men. Also, Eva is a loose canon. What a nest of vipers.

RE:oatmeal..I eat Quaker Real Medley which comes in little cups that you just add not water to it I need more than my usual bowl of Cheerios and dried cranberries. Not very hungry lately. I lost 10 pounds but thought I put some back on over the holidays eating dinners at my younger daughters house...instead I lost two more pounds. I guess I need more oatmeal. Also, Jamie Fraser in Outlander is a big proponent of porridge.....and it works for him.

WEll, maybe by should take a trip to Target in search of a microwave despite the 31 degree day.

Very nice, Kirby! Screenshots were excellent and the recap just as good...and of course the snark gives it an entertaining boost.

Guille and Renata...awww young love, and when both parties finally admit that they are in love it can only get better.

JudyB, ITA thaT HecMaru is completely annoying...in a boorish kind of way. Santos and LCJ may be able to relate...or they may end up hating him and putting him in his place.

Kirby, there are so many reprehensible and disgusting people in this show; I've lost count. But right now Johny and Mugres are at the top of my list.

Lucia is delusional if she thinks she can play in the big leagues. She is following Johny's suggestion to go find out what Armenta knows...how can she not see that Johny is "pimping" her out...again?

Oh and "Alirio punches in the star coordinates of the Enterprise and engages the warp drive." That was funny! Lucia did look like she was on her way to the Enterprise. Will she captivate Captain Kirk or Spock? Or maybe she was just going to audition for a part in the next Star Wars movie LOL

Susanlynn, "This new transmutation of an adult male into a young girl is interesting." Yes, it is!

If it were me I would just slim down and start getting a bad reputation. :-)

Alright Señor Kirby, I feel a little better now that you're part of the Oatmeal Crew also (not to mention mi amiga Susanlynn). But I grew up on bacon and eggs in a black iron skillet. Orange juice and strong black coffee. Toast (white, what can I say?) with plenty of butter and jam. Switching to oatmeal for the sake of my husband's heart issues was not fun, but I've gotten used to it.

I do long for those good ol' days though. Dang, why does "bad" food taste so doggone good?

Kirby...ha. Now there's a simple plan. Wouldn't it be fascinating to experience what it is like to be the opposite sex?

OT...Judyb...My mother made similar breakfasts on the farm. Hub did the cooking in the last few years. He made me a lot of eggs for breakfast because I have not eaten much meat in the last few years even though my mother made meat for all our dinners and I ate it. Now I eat cereal for breakfast and soup for dinner. Just do not have the will to cook for just me. This is think try to make a date for lunch with a friend once a week.

So important to meet with friends, Susanlynn. Glad you are doing that. We need that spark and that support.

Eggs are wonderful. As a small child though, I did not think so and informed my mother that I was "allergic". She pointed out that I ate cake with no problem and that had eggs in it. Busted! Grew to love them though. On Sunday, my treat when I get back from church is to have a couple of eggs and toast. Bacon is reserved for holidays when we have green beans with bacon. And meat of some kind.

Kirby, that's so funny you mentioned Lorena Bobbitt.
They just did an interview with him for his upcoming anniversary since the "incident". What a coincidence!!!

JudyB

This Southern girl also grew up on Bacon and Eggs for breakfast, sometimes with Liver Pudding added. My husband, the hotel manager, can't believe I love bacon and eggs for dinner also.? He is still amazed after 40+years of marriage.

Rgv Chick

OMG when I saw the StarTrek outfit on Lucia, my first thought was Wow, that's almost exactly like the outfits Spock wore. I can't believe that AB agreed to wear such a hideous outfit.

Victoria, there can only be one explanation for AB agreeing to wear that outfit...she’s under contract :-)

Victoria if my memory is correct about Bobbit (off), I don't see the "Mark the Calendar, Let's Celebrate this Anniversary" angle. Shouldn't he still be trying to figure out a painless way to kill himself? :-)

Victoria...Sure, bacon and eggs for dinner. Great. Even better when combined with pancakes and maple syrup.

Kirby, mea culpa. I was in such a hurry to get to the recap this morning, I didn't notice your very funny title. Just great. Almost as good as bacon and eggs.

Kirby

It's the 25th anniversary for the "incident" and John Bobbitt just did an interview. I

Or MB said Not! and she heard HOT!

Sorry this is so late, Kirby, but thanks and thanks for the complete translation of Guille's e-mail dictation. That was hysterical. The writers can and do come through with some good ones. Wonder if the sequestro will lead to some bedybytime.

Great work,Kirby, and thanks.

Nobody is out of the woods yet and I am still afraid that Lupita won't make it to the end.

I'm also liking Renata and Guille; it's about time. Hope he makes a good cat dad.

"Hector" is getting on my nerves. Clearly has no clue how to handle the situation.
