At the Carvajal house,
Mateo is sporting a big smile as he thanks Eva. He can’t wait to see her
stomach grow and feel the small kicks. He wonders if it will be a boy or
girl…and has a list of names to choose from. He wants the baby to have her eyes
and smile. They will be three now. He won’t be getting up during the night and
can just imagine how cranky Eva will be. When he sees that she is not as
enthused as he is, Mateo assumes it’s because of her family and tells her to
let it go; it’s not her responsibility to fix everything that happens in that
house. Eva assures Mateo that she will be happy, but she needs time. After
Mateo leaves, Eva cries in anger and hits her stomach with the pillow. Ah, sweet
Motherhood. Viewerville hopes you are in labor for eight and a half months.
Johny is at the Carvajal
house when Lucía enters. After he quickly asks where she was, Lucía snaps that
the only ring on her finger is the one León gave her when they married; so she
has no need to give Johny explanations. Johny assumes that she was with the
chauffeur; so Lucía responds that she was trying to find out who was behind all
the anonymous notes. When Johny asks her to tell him what she found out, she
retorts that he should ask Fabricio…since that is why Johny sent him to follow
her. Johny tries to give some pathetic explanation, but Lucía walks off and
won’t listen.
At the jail, Guille
worries about Toño who is coughing. Toño doesn’t think he’ll feel better since
he figures he will spend the rest of his life in prison. Guille goes to call
for help while Toño throws up, but the detective points out that they are not a
hospital and don’t have doctors on hand. The detective then tells Guille to
take care of Toño while he goes to get a doctor…if there is one.
At Renata’s place, Keila
tries to get Renata to drink some juice as Teo cooks. Renata can’t stop
thinking about how Guille is getting along in jail. Teo doesn’t help any when
he says that Guille is probably having a hard time since he is so inexperienced
and frail. Keila tells him to shut up,
but Renata thinks he’s right; Guille is not prepared to live through something
like that. Points for Mr. Invisible, Teo.
Johnny storms into
Lucía’s bedroom and asks what happened to their communication; she has always
told him everything. When he asks if she would prefer that he go to the cops so
they can find out where her chauffeur is, Lucía remarks that, if she were him,
she wouldn’t be calling the cops because it could turn into a long conversation
where she could say so many things. Oh My Oh My, who does THAT sound like,
Scumbag? Johny is surprised that Lucía
is threatening, but Lucía clarifies that he is the one who is making threats;
she is only responding to him. Johny sits down and tells Lucía to go ahead and
talk to the cops; she can tell them e v e r y t h i n g. Things may go well for
her, but any evidence against him does not exist…though he does have a lot of
evidence against her. Um, have you
checked all the batcave recordings, SmugMug?
At Silvina’s house.
Pancho wants to call Montilla, but Lupita tells him not to; they had already
told Beltrino they wouldn’t call the cops. Pancho wonders how she can put her
daughter’s life in the hands of someone whom she has no idea where he came from
or who he is. Lupita cries that Beltrino has done nothing but help her. Pancho
insists that that is what makes Beltrino so suspicious; he wonders what
Beltrino wants from all of this. Pancho wants to know why she is doing what
Beltrino says instead of calling the cops. Lupita doesn’t know (big surprise?);
she thinks the cops and the narcos are one in the same.
At Barb’s house, Beltrino
chides Barb for letting LCJ leave; she should have called him. After Barb
counters that she tried to call him, but he didn’t answer, LCJ arrives.
Beltrino shouts that during his little escapade, El Alacrán kidnapped his
daughter. They probably want to exchange his daughter for El Chino Valdez.
Beltrino reminds LCJ that he is the one who has EL Chino’s body. Barb
criticizes Beltrino for wanting to turn over LCJ since he is an important man.
LCJ then reminds Beltrino how much he has been protecting his body, but
Beltrino now believes that no one can return his body to him. Beltrino wants to
turn over his body to Alacrán so his body can be killed…that way his debt will
be paid and he will walk freely. When he adds “el muerte al poso, el vivo al
gozo” (the dead to the hole; the living to joy), and asks what LCJ thinks of
that, LCJ looks him in the eye and asks, “Excuse me?” Beltrino replies that
it’s a joke; he would be incapable of doing something like that. Barb asks for
reassurance that Beltrino is not going to turn over LCJ; so Beltrino assures
her since it’s his body…it’s like being himself…it IS him. LCJ then asks how he
plans to rescue his daughter. Beltrino scowls that they have to wait until
Alacrán shows his face and orders Barb not to let LCJ leave the house. She may
need a tad larger balls, crystal balls, to pull off something like that.
At the scorpion’s nest,
Gancho tells Alacrán that he hasn’t been able to get any info from Juls; she is
more hard-headed than the mother. Gancho then asks Alacrán if the delivery of
merchandise is a go for the next day. Alacrán responds that it’s not since he
has a meeting with the money launderers. After Alacrán leaves, he sends a
message to Eva who is lying in bed beside Mateo but turned away from him…they
will meet tomorrow. Meanwhile, Mateo gets a message from Gancho that there will
be a meeting tomorrow; he will tell him about it in person. Drats.
Why do these messages never get criss-crossed in TNs like in real life?
Next
day—
Mayela and Eva walk into
the police station together. Mayela apologizes for opening her mouth in front
of Mateo, but Eva dismisses it and thanks her for getting them in to see
Guille. The cop escorts them to see Guille; and as they pass by Renata who asks
if they will be able to see Guille, Eva and Mayela completely ignore her and
keep walking. Bitch bitch!
Gancho meets with Mateo
at the same kitchen place. Gancho knows the time and place where El Alacrán
will meet with his contact…an important person at Carvajal Group who makes
decisions. Gancho then shows Mateo what the information will cost him; Mateo
shakes his head and puts down an envelope of the money he has. Gancho, however,
wants more…Mateo’s watch will do. After they exchange the watch for the info,
Gancho starts to walk away. Mateo asks who the woman is, but Gancho only
responds, “Good luck.”
At the jail, Eva and
Mayela go in to see Guille. She tells him that they are doing everything
possible to get him out of there. Mayela’s father made contact with a judge who
will ensure he gets out of there; and Barretos is working diligently, so it’s
just a matter of time. When Guille asks for Renata, Eva lies through her fangs
and tells him they didn’t see her anywhere outside; and Vale is on her way.
Bitch
At the Carvajal house,
Lucho is back and offers to take Vale to the prison, but Vale has already made
plans with Alirio. Lucho then brings up a party he had gone to and mentions
that Juls was there; it seems that Sergio and Juls are finally going out
together. He adds that it appears that Juls is starting to like men because
they ended up in bed together. Bitch
At the Scorpion’s nest, Alacrán tells Juls that he has something important to
do, but when he returns they will spend some time together. After he tells her
that she will have three hours to herself, he adds that it can be very
easy...she can continue living or she can take her secret about where her
father is to the grave.
Lupita is talking to
Beltrino on Facetime. He tells her that he already has a way to get her
daughter back. He turns his camera phone so that Lupita can see LCJ and tells
her that he will use El Chino Valdez to get Juls.
Vale walks into the
police station thinking about what Lucho told her. Renata interrupts her
thoughts when she approaches and asks Vale if she has heard anything. Vale
hasn’t heard anything; she is there since Mayela told her they could go in to
see Guille. When Renata assumes that it is only family who can go in, Vale
assures her that she is family. Vale has the name of the magistrate and will go
get what they need to enter. Not bitch
At Silvina’s house,
Lupita asks Beltrino how he found El Chino so quickly. Beltrino responds that
he has his contacts; now he just needs to exchange him for Juls. Lupita cries
that the man he has is not El Chino; his name is Jacobo Reyes. Beltrino chides
her for believing that man who would say anything to save his skin. What they
need to do is figure out a way to send the message to Alacrán. Lupita knows
where Alacrán’s house is…they took her there when they kidnapped her. Beltrino
chuckles gruffly as he tells Lupita that she has given him some good news. Wait?
No black fabric bag over the head?
That is Goon SOP.
At the scorpion’s nest,
Gancho takes Juls a plate of hot food. He tells her that her mother was in that
same room. As he is about to leave. Juls swears that she doesn’t know where El
Chino is.
At a hotel, Mateo waits
in the lobby to see who from the Carvajal company will show up to meet Alacrán.
He sees a woman with long, blonde hair and takes pictures because he thinks
it’s Lucía, but Nopis, not her. He then sees Eva enter and watches her in
complete shock as she goes to the elevator.
Surprise, Mat. There may be more.
As soon
as the doors close, Mateo gets in the other elevator and follows her. Once Eva
is inside the room, Alacrán is all over Eva, but she pushes him away. Alacrán
can’t think of anything else since she told him he was going to be a father.
Meanwhile, Mateo is in the hallway trying to figure out which room Eva is in.
Inside, Alacrán wants to get to it, but Eva has had a horribe day since they
arrested Guille. When Alacrán offers to go to his people so they can get him
out, Eva asks him not to get involved. Alacrán gets close to her and tells her
he needs to make love to her as many times as he can before her stomach gets
bigger; so he pulls her to the bedroom. Outside, Mateo is exasperated; he can’t
find Eva. Good thing, as Alacran would
make the “Who is the Daddy” question irrelevant with one bullet.
At the
jail, Renata and Vale enter to see Guille who is very happy to see them. Vale
tells Guille that Renata has been there since they brought him in. Guille is
amazed, but even more so when Renata tells him that she made the food they
brought to him. Vale reassures Guille
that they are trying to get him out as soon as possible. They are doing
everything to convince Mr. Castillo (to drop the charges). Guille makes them
laugh when he tells them that he even misses Renata’s cat. Renata cries and
reaches out to hold Guille’s hands, but the guard reminds her it is forbidden.
Vale tries to lighten things up and tells them that this is the last time they
will meet there; next time it’ll be at Renata’s house eating something
delicious…and even Tlacoyo will be there. Renata then asks Guille to swear that
he will withstand everything like the Caravajal he is; Guille swears.
At the
hotel, Mateo goes to the bar and orders a double whiskey (that ain’t gonna cut
it, Dude!). Upstairs, Eva and Alacrán have done the deed. Eva looks annoyed as
Alacrán kisses her. Eva wonders why he is so intense; so Alacrán teases that he
might be wanting a try at a little brother for their son....because the baby
will be a machín, just like he is (oh, woopee, another pest!). When he asks what
they will name the baby, Eva gets frustrated; she is fed up with all of
this…she has never wanted children and especially not under these
circumstances. Alacrán has been thinking about it and wants to do things right.
His own father never acknowledged him…he was raised as the son of nobody…a
bastard. He doesn’t want that happening to his son; so his son will carry his
name…y punto (no discussion)! Eva reminds him that they had already agreed that
Mateo would be the father legally since there is a possiblilty that Mateo is
actually the father. Alacrán scowls that she and Mateo have been together a
long time…Mateo is incapable of giving her a child. When Eva insists that Mateo
is just a capable as Alacrán is, Alacrán asks who she has been with the most in
the past few months. Eva counters that it doesn’t matter whether it was one
time or a thousand, only one time is needed to get pregnant. Alacrán still
thinks that whoever does it more has more of a chance. Eva is annoyed at the
things Alacrán is saying. Even if he is the father, she can't say it to anyone.
Alacrán wonders why not if they did it with so much love; he wants everyone to
know that it is his son. Eva points out what people will say when they find out
that her child is the child of a criminal known as El Alacrán, one of the
leaders of the Cartel de la Sierra. When she adds that people will think badly
that a woman of her stature is involved with a hoodlum like him, Alacrán shouts
in anger and reminds her that she is also a criminal. Eva doesn’t agree since
she doesn’t poison people with the crap he sells; the only thing she did was to
set up some businesses in which she is investing the money from her
inheritance. If people find out that they are working together, their business
will come tumbling down. Alacrán then tells Eva to calm down; he doesn’t want
his son to sense that they are fighting. Eva has a solution; she is going to
have an abortion. Meanwhile downstairs, Mateo calls and asks Cazadilla to drop
everything and get him a list of all the transactions that have been made at
the company for the past two years. Oh
Boy.
In her
bedroom, Lucía thinks of her conversation with LCJ. Afterwards, she calls
Rosalba, her secretary and asks her to set up a meting with Barretos and
Victoria (the TV gossip host). She then thinks about all the sensual moments
with LCJ until Silvina walks in and asks if everything is okay. Lucía is
confused and doesn’t know what to do. When Silvina assumes it has to do with
LCJ, Lucía admits that she has trouble accepting that he is a criminal, a
sicario. Silvina feels the same way. When Silvina shares that on two occasions when
she looked at LCJ, she saw León, Lucía muses the idea.
At
Barb’s house, LCJ and Barb arrive and see Beltrino who has been waiting for
them. When LCJ asks what makes Beltrino think he is going to go along with his
stupid plan, Beltrino pulls a gun on him.
Of course, stick with what has worked so beautifully in the past.
LCJ
daringly asks what will happen to Beltrino’s deal with the goons if he kills
him. Beltrino responds that the gun is only to convince LCJ to cooperate.
At
Beltrino’s house, Alicia finds an article by Plato on metempsychosis, the
transmigration of souls. She then looks through some videos and finds one that
she goes to view; it is a lecture about the transmigrations of souls.
At
Barb’s house, Barb pushes the gun down and tells Beltrino that he is making her
nervous. Beltrino chuckles and tells LCJ not to be scared; he has a plan—Plan A
is that he will make Alacrán believe that he is turning him over so they can
release Juls…if all goes well, LCJ has nothing to worry about; Plan B should
worry LCJ…if something goes wrong, Alacrán will keep LCJ and Beltrino will take
Juls…LCJ will have to fend for himself. Beltrino wonders if that is why destiny
brought them together; so he could pay his daughter’s ransom with his own body.
Just then, Barb points out the Beltrino has blood on his shirt, but Beltrino insists
that he is well. Beltrino is going to try to contact Alacrán. In the meantime,
LCJ shouldn’t try anything funny or Barb will be the one to pay the
consequences. Beltrino threatens Barb that if she doesn’t keep an eye on LCJ,
she will end up in ashes.
In the
Carvajal kitchen, Lucía fiddles with an oragami bird as she asks Silvina if she
remembers how León would spend hours making those birds. After Lucía mentions
the day that there were several in her bedroom, she assumes that LCJ somehow
found out that that was León’s hobby and placed them in her bedroom to upset
her or make her go crazy. When Silvina suggests that it could have been to
relay a message, Lucía wonders what kind of message; so Silvina poses that
maybe León hasn’t left them completely, but Lucía won’t hear of ghosts…she
needs solid answers. Lucía thinks that Camilo is behind everything and decides
to go speak to him.
At
Silvina’s house, Lupita rambles on about Jacobo not being El Chino, but now
Beltrino has him and is going to exchange him for Juls. What worries Lupita is
if that man is telling the truth, he might get killed. After Pancho insists
that if the man has El Chino’s face, it is him, Beltrino calls Lupita; so Lupita
rushes to leave. She has to go see LCJ to clear things up; she isn’t sure that
turning him over to Alacrán is a good idea.
At
Barb’s house, LCJ asks Barb if Beltrino is really capable of turning him over.
Barb replies that she has never seen Beltrino so desperate. LCJ doesn’t blame
Beltrino since it deals with his daughter…any father would do the same thing.
Barb thinks about León who also has a life and thinks that this is all messed
up. LCJ remarks that there is a bigger mess than El Chino, his body and the
transmigrants. Barb’s jaw drops when LCJ tells her that his daughter and
Beltrino’s daughter are in love with each other. That is bigger? Huh? Was there a time warp?
Sitting
in front of the police station, Vale thinks Guille is very lucky to have
someone like Renata love him so much. After Renata shares that Guille changed
her life, she asks Vale about her relationship with Juls. Vale confides that
everything has ended; everything became so difficult…and their families don’t
help at all. Vale thinks it’s unbelievable…you think you know someone, but you
don’t; you’re not even close.
Sergio
goes to Perlita’s restaurant to ask for Juls. When Perlita tells him how they
kidnapped Juls from her restaurant, he asks if they have heard anything from
her; so Perlita responds that Juls’s mother is trying to find out.
At the
scorpion’s den, Alacrán tells Eva that she is not leaving until she has it
clear—what she just said will not happen. When Eva counters that she is the
owner of her body and she will decide what to do with it, Alacrán grabs her
face with one hand and hisses that he is the father of that child and she will
NOT abort it…she is not even going to think it again. He is going to take care
of his son even if it means his life…or hers if necessary!
Meanwhile
at the bar, Mateo gets a call from Cazadilla who doesn’t have the info yet. As
Mateo chides him for not having it yet, he spots Eva walking out. He ends his
call to take some pictures and as he does, he spots Alacrán leaving also; so he
takes some pics of him too. Finally,
finally and again, FINALLY !
Lucía is
at Camilo’s house. They talk about Guille for a bit, but that is not why Lucía
is there; she wants to know who Jacobo Reyes is. Cami tells her that she knows
who he is, but Lucía argues that she doesn’t. Lucía wants Cami to explain to
her who he is and she doesn’t want him to tell her the same nonsense that LCJ
told her the day before. Cami is surprised that they saw each other yesterday.
Lucía then asks him if he really dared to recommend a sicario named Macario
Valdez to her or did he recommend a chauffeur named Jacobo Reyes. Cami assures
her that he recommended Jacobo Reyes…who trusts her. Lucía wonders why Jacobo
lies to her and tells her that he is innocent and not the monster everyone
thinks he is. Cami confirms that that is correct. When she adds that Jacobo
told her that he is León’s messenger, Cami asks, “And why not?” Lucía thinks
it’s absurd and points out that Cami has a close relationship with Jacobo just
as he had with León…and how Jacobo has a lot of info about the company and the
family. When she adds that Jacobo is making some serious accusations against
her and Johny, Cami wonders what she is getting at. Lucía responds that she
doesn’t believe Jacobo is León’s messenger; but she is sure that he is Cami’s
messenger. Lucía wants to know what Cami is trying to do. She asks him point
blank is he thinks that she and Johny are León’s murderers…Cami plays it cool and won’t answer until mañana…ARGHH!
