Por Amar Sin Ley, Season 2 Lunes 3/18/19, Episode 5: Information
Ariadna (his mother) cry and heard her talking about how wrong it was for thieves to take her husband's life and destroyed her family. Ariadna told her sister that the police had opened an investigation but.... Julio and his girlfriend got up and left his aunt to deal with his mother's tears. They stood a few feet away and his mother said that he and his father had been virtually inseparable the day of the murder. The two women got up and went to the teens. Ariadna hugged her son as his girlfriend watched.
She finally told them she was going upstairs to rest. “I love you, son. Don't ever forget that.” She went upstairs and they exchanged another look.
She took out her cell to call, finally calling Julio. She told him his mother had not answered the door and she was concerned. He told her he would let her in.
Julio hugged her, but the look on his face was not one of anguish. He knelt below his mother's body and hugged her legs. He started crying as Raquel made a phone call. She ended the call and went over to him. He began yelling “It's my fault! Leave me alone! It's my fault!” Raquel knelt behind him.
They also were told that they would need to come to the police station to give statements about how they found the body and when they had last seen Ariadna alive. Julio walked away from them, saying he didn't want to go. Raquel asked the detective whether this could be done then and there and he said that they both needed to come to the station. Raquel went to Julio and told her she would be with him all through this. The detective advised that they speak with a lawyer. He then took his leave.
Dorantes exited the car at gunpoint and saw them cuff his driver as he was being frisked. The lead officer called in the arrest. They read the charges and his rights and hustled him into the back of the police car in the usual manner.
just passing Alan on the way out. Carlos told Alan this was an employee of Jacinto Dorantes wanting Carlos to represent him. Alan thought this was great news, as it would get them out of debt. Carlos told him he couldn't do it because of Alejandra. He named the charges he knew about and said that Dorantes had to have been behind everything else. He insisted that they needed another way to get out of this debt. Alan picked up the check. “A blank check?”
Labels: ley2
-- Ariadna's state of despair
-- Raquel's inability to believe that Julio and/or his girlfriend (name still undisclosed) would be capable of committing this crime.
The latter would not have even occurred to her. However, when the police have a go at Julio he just might crack. We may see him in a giggle jacket before too much time passes.
I do wonder why there were so many facial expressions, etc., from them. Could the director be thinking that we'd miss half of them?
Nice hand-holding pic of Ric & Ale. Is their relationship still on hold? I can't remember.
I'm glad we're getting some cases again. And hasta la vista to the two overgrown toddlers, who haven't forgotten anything they learned last season about ugly crying.
At least Julio wasn't named "Adam".
I have been wondering since the opening episode whether the writers have retconned the romance of Alejandra and Ricardo. Whatever they do I hope they don't end up putting her back with Carlos, who will now have more trouble than he ever bargained for. I also wonder how long it will take before he knows that Alan killed Patricia.
What concerns me most at the moment is what to expect from Raul. Up until his last scene last night he seemed free from corruption. He didn't need to use entrapment to get Dorantes to commit another attempt because the charge was already there. At any rate I hope this question is answered soon.
Wednesday Addams couldn't have looked any creepier.
Without a doubt. And this actor is well chosen for the role. Could anybody possibly look any less wholesome or straightforward? Major ugh factor, although I love the actress playing the part of Tia Raquel.
I'm going to vote that our Quiróz is on the up and up but then I'm a sucker for a pretty face. And speaking of being a sucker, I was even thinking "Wouldn't it be nice if Alejandra's mom and dad got back together again?" Yeah, I know...HOPELESS!
Thanks again Urban. A treat to read as always.
Yes, to JudyB's comparison to a graphic novel (not that I read any either). Superb back and forth between our observers. I noted that Christopher is still wearing a GREEN bow tie. Thank you for everything.
BTW, that American guy bringing in Miriam's and her kids' suitcases WAS the abusive husband. She told her brother that though she wanted to come alone, he has such control over her life she can't go anywhere alone. Wonder where she met him. At first I thought it was Ricardo's kids, until I realized the girl had very dark hair and so did the mother. So now, I'm wondering if they are being set up to be friends with Ricardo's kids.
I just don't understand Carlos. I think Alejandra is waiting for Ricardo to give her a signal that his reconciliation with Elena isn't working, even for the sake of the half-grown toddlers. He's waiting for a signal from Alejandra that she's ready to open up to him again. I'm sure Carlos will do everything he can for that not to happen.
I do like Quiroz. Hope he stays clean and straight--unless it's to catch somebody and we know the writers don't tell us that.
Niecie--Blue Lass and I are working out a schedule for a lot, but not all Fridays. It is going to be going strong during the summer. Why don't you try your hand? We'll make room for you, even if it's just to give Urban a rest once or twice a month. It doesn't have to be detailed or full of screen shots. Bullet points will do. 'Cmon--I know you can do a great job.
I realize now that this is the abusive husband. I think this is the case that will bring them to the US.
Niecie,we'd love for you to join us!
How in heck would Carlos be able to justify to Ali taking Dorante's case? Don't know but I'd like to see him try just for the fun of it. Ali has been pretty gullible with him.
I'm flattered to be asked to recap, but I'm so slow. But I will add bullets when I can.
The line comparing that girl to Wednesday Adams was spot on. She does look creepy here. By the way, I don't know how old the actress really is, but she is currently playing a very nerdy teenager on Tenias que ser tu.
Again, I have to regretfully note that agent Quiros' hotness is paired with a pea-sized brain and I just can't find him attractive because of it. I already had strong suspicion that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed when, in the first episode, he was standing around chitchatting while huge amount of wounded were lying bleeding out all around him, and this suspicion became certainty in this episode. As much as I hate Gustavo, i found Quiros' berating him about almost ruining the operation absurd beyond words. He should be berating himself for being dumb enough not to understand that distraught civilians whose families were murdered tend to do irrational things such as running into the line of fire without thinking about the consequences and it is his job as a policemen to foresee such situations and to (easily) prevent them by cordoning off the site of the operation, establishing a perimeter and generally paying attention to what is going on around him.

Blame the writers for what's going on on the screen. I know that Televisa and other production companies are aware of this blog so we need to provide constructive criticism of things like this. They should care about what we think of the characters in these stories because I think that many series lose viewers if their characters aren't at all likable or worthy of respect.
I just had to open my big mouth and say that Alonso is not prosecuting his shooter and now the entire bufete became a fiscalia! Damn it, writers, i had such high hopes for this season! The way it looks, Al will be prosecuting his own shooters before my urgently ordered titanium-reinforced beanie arrives.
Irene
I honestly don't know what the writers are thinking. Almost all of the characters are unlikable, dumb and unprofessional. The villains are one-dimensional, have no motivation other that they are criminals and in addition also have half a brain cell between the three of them and keep winning due to pure luck.
Oh well, at least there were some positive changes in the wardrobe department although whoever dressed Elena in that green jacket with that parrot-colored scarf needs to find a new profession.
Irene
What bugs me in general about novelas lately -- all of them -- is the ridiculously short scenes. This series is formatted like other TV programs about lawyers and a little harder to join scene fragments together than the ones I've managed to do a better literary job on.
What I need to do is to limit screen grabs to the most important ones, like the facial expressions on Julio and Eva in this episode.
BTW, I have to go out at 7 so this one will be a bit late tonight, maybe not until morning.

Little troll killed his parents, well
He either did it or his girlfriend.
What a creepy couple.
I really hope quiroz isn't a dirty cop.
I remember when the bad guys weren't as attractive as the good guys. Now some of them look even better. Looks aren't Every thing. I just liked it better when the bad guys were ugly, lol
That way you could tell them apart. Silly me. I just think evil should look ugly. Quiroz is an attractive man, I hope he's not a crook. Or he'd just be another good lookin crook, like
Carlos.
"Wednesday Adam's couldn't have looked creepier". Wednesday adams was cute creepy, this chick is evil creepy. Her
And the boyfriend from purgatory.
Carlos needs money and he needs it now. He May fold and take the case. He
Will. He's obbessessed with alejandra.
And He's obbessessed with money. And He's gonna fall.Probly from the money.
This seems to get better with each episode.
And they caught durantes,I hope he stays Got without crooked cop interference.
Thank you Urban. I appreciate you recapping this show.
