“Sin
Miedo a la Verdad” revolves around Manu Montero (Alex Perea), an urban
hero, who has a “VLOG” (video blog),
that he uses under the pseudonym "Gus", his cybernetic identity. Manu
is an introverted, highly skilled young man. He is an expert at not only repairing
cell phones and other devices, but hacking systems and passwords. As a young
child, Manu suffered an accident which marked, not only his soul, but his face
(not as bad as Doc Mask , we hope).Despite his daunting past which still plagues
him, he has managed to survive thanks to Doña Cata (Dacia González), his
mentor, Manu works in the Plaza de la Computación, where they repair, adjust
and can get any kind of electronic device, but Manu’s only way to deal with the
pain of his past is by helping others who have been victims of some type of
injustice; and he does it anonymously through his VLOG "Sin miedo a la
verdad." . As Manu goes about
solving cases, he is persecuted by Horacio (Fermín Martinez), a corrupt
policeman, who wants to take revenge on Manu for killing his brother.
This series has already started Season 2 on Las Estrellas, but we won’t talk about
that to avoid any spoilers. Season 1 had 21 episodes; so this may be short
unless they air Season 2 immediately afterwards.Looks pretty good!

Hmmm....I'm still debating on watching this one. It's hard when I don't know anyone in the cast. I'll have to keep thinking about it.
To be honest, I am waiting to see what “El último dragón” w/ Sebastián Rulli and the “Fábrica de sueños”( 12 classic novelas updated in 25 episode reincarnations) are like. It looks like I could be waiting until the fall/winter. Currently, I am finishing off the outstanding “La Reina del Sur 2”on the Telemundo side of the blog. It will be hard for anything new to match that or “Mi marido tiene más familia.” It has been a good year for me in telenovelalandia.

Jarifa, I'm waiting for “El último dragón” too. It's scheduled for the 2019, but, you're right, we'll have to wait until fall/winter to see it. The other one I've been waiting for is "Ringo." which stars Jose Ron...and Pierre Louis is in that one too. We are at the mercy of Univision...as always.
TF. I'm debating on watching this one too. It does sound good, but I'm recapping most nights. I'll probably record it and watch it the following day as time permits.
JudyB, true about Manu's scars. If Doc Mask can get plastic surgery. I don't see why Manu couldn't.

Rgv Chick, thanks for the summary. I will check out the premiere. The star, Alex Perea, was in La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo. He was the gay son of the woman who came to the USA to reunite with her husband, only to find he'd taken on a new wife.
Wish Uni would put a light romantic comedy, any comedy really, in the 9 pm slot. It would be lovely to watch a TN with all of you again.

I believe that "El Corazon Nunca Se Equivoca" is a comedy. It's the spin-off of MMTMF with Aris and Temo leading as the couple. I think it starts sometime in August...probably replacing La Rosa de Guadalupe.

“El corazón nunca se equivoca” is lighter fare but maybe more dramedy than comedy. Besides Ari and Temo, the characters of Pancho López, Diego, Daniela and Polita from MMTMF are part of the action. It is rather short with 25 episodes. It looks like it could be a good YA offering. One thing I have to say, I am liking that Televisa is making some shorter series. I think a mixture of shorter and longer novela options would be attractive to the viewer.
Hmmm ... not interested in ArisTemo - at sll. Always ff'd thru their scenes in MMTMF. Nothing to do with their being gay, just can't stand Temo's hangdog expressions and "victim" personality. Maybe with another actor it would have been different. I like Ari.
