Ep 63: Part 1 Confrontations and Revelations
Detective Bowtie goes to see Juanjo at Surround Vibes. After discussing the case, Bowtie asks Juanjo if he was with Yameli when they arrested her. Juanjo denies it, but tells Bowtie that Yameli did contact him and asked him to give Bowtie an envelope. Bowtie takes the document out which shows that Yameli is on probation. When he asks who Yameli Montoya is, Juanjo reveals that Lari is Yameli.
At Wendy’s house, Wendy is in a pool of tears. Gloria chides her and advises that Wendy needs to tell Juanjo that she is pregnant so he can take responsibility for his child; Gloria is sure Juanjo will do the right thing and come back to Wendy. When Wendy cries that he will only come back because she is pregnant, Gloria rolls her eyes and wonders why, then, Wendy get pregnant.
At Surround, Juanjo explains to Bowtie about the deal Yameli made with the DEA to catch Monchis. Afterwards, Bowtie wonders why Yameli continued in that role; so Juanjo explains that Yameli wants Charly to pay for all that he did…she wants justice to be served. After Juanjo adds that all of this has nothing to do with Diana’s murder, he asks Bowtie not to reveal who Lari really is because if Charly finds out, Yameli’s life will be in danger.
Erick calls Irma, but only gets her voicemail. Meanwhile, Irma is a Luxor practicing her song. Once she finishes, Charly tells her how fantastic she is…and with some changes he is going to make, it will be even better. Irma is not too happy when Charly tells her that he will be singing a chorus during her song…and he wants to be in her video too. When Charly hugs her, Irma looks nauseated and quite uncomfortable.
Charly and Axel discuss Irma’s song. Charly thinks it will be one of the greatest…thanks to him. When Charly asks about other songs that Axel is supposed to be getting, Axel mentions that he has songs that he wrote himself. Charly scoffs and reminds Axel that they are in the big leagues. Charly knows that Axel wrote rap songs, but this is something different. Axle should be glad with the opportunity he has...the opportunity to work with Charly. As Charly keeps grinding Axel’s dream, Axel looks at him with disgust, but agrees that he will always be grateful for that opportunity. Charly then tells Axel to look for writers, but he isn’t willing to pay too much or give them credit. Axel doubts that anyone will want to work for free, but Charly insists that they should just be glad to work with him….they can just pay them well or they can look for someone else.
Olmedo and Bowtie are up on a roof discussing the case. Olmedo tells Bowtie that Rizzo confirmed everything that Juanjo said. Rizzo also told him that Yameli was very cooperative and effective, but somewhat stubborn. After Bowtie tells Olmedo to ask Rizzo to send them all the information, Olmeda adds that Rizzo informed him of a previous attempt to catch Monchis laundering money…and Charly was behind it…but they couldn’t find any evidence against Charly, so they only arrested Monchis.
Wendy calls Juanjo and tells him that they need to talk…in person. After Juanjo puts her off, Wendy blurts out that she is pregnant. Juanjo whizzes over to the house and chides Wendy for making a decision to get pregnant on her own (as Gloria listens from behind a wall). Juanjo doesn’t know what to say; they are separated and that will not change. They need to figure out what they need to do. After Gloria steps in to defend Wendy, Juanjo assures Wendy that the baby will be taken care of and so will she. After Wendy tells him that she doesn’t need his pity, she stomps off leaving Gloria to deal with Juanjo. Gloria advises him that if he wants to do what is best, then he will get back together with Wendy…and she knows that everything he is doing is because of “that woman.”
Ep 63: Part 2 Confrontations and Revelations
Detective Bowtie meets with Linares, Diana’s accountant. Linares tells him that he found a lot of discrepancies and questionable purchases. He only told Diana because she asked that the findings be kept confidential and he was only to report to her. When Bowtie asks if Diana had an idea as to who was involved, Linares thinks it was someone very close to her who worked at Luxor. Bowtie then mentions the previous accountant who was responsible for all the accounting, but Linares has no idea where that accountant can be found. (Linares never mentioned the call Diana made to him on the night she was murdered!!)
Det. Bowtie goes to see Charly; he has some questions about Giovanni Mora, the previous accountant, since he needs to talk to him. When Charly tells him that he was fired; Bowtie tells him that he knows he was fired for being corrupt. Charly comments that his wife was the one who told him she was going to fire Mora, but he didn’t know why she fired him. After Charly adds that his wife was the one who was responsible for the financial administration, Bowtie again asserts that he already knows that, but questions if, before Diana, the accountant was fully responsible. After Charly confirms that the previous accountant was responsible, Bowtie thanks him and, before he leaves, advises Charly that he will continue to come by to talk to some of the employees. Charly forces a grin; and after Bowties leaves, he suspiciously takes out a small box from a briefcase and changes the chip on his phone.
A reporter announces that Lareli will be transferred to a prison; Toño listens attentively. Soon after, Charly calls him and tells him that he needs his help; Toño needs to find Mora and pay him off so he won’t open his mouth. Toño, however, would rather just shut Mora up permanently, but Charly is annoyed that the only way Toño deals with things is with bullets. Toño then suggests that Lareli is being given to them on a silver platter; she is being transferred to a prison where Toño has “friends” who can help them be rid of Lareli since she knows too much about them. Charly doesn’t want to talk about it, but when Toño insists, he tells Toño to do whatever he wants, but Charly wants to talk to Lareli first.
At Luxor, Axel meets with an old friend who composes music and offers him an opportunity for a contract with Luxor. After the friend agrees, he asks Axel about his own songs since they were very good. Axel explains that since he started working at Luxor, he left that idea behind, but the friend insists that Axel should record his songs. Once in the recording room, Axel listens as his friend sings. After he finishes, Axel thinks Charly will like the song and sign on the friend. The friend again urges Axel to record his own songs since he is at the perfect place to do so. Later, Axel works on his song in the lobby. When he finishes singing, others nearby clap which gives Axel the motivation to call Charly and tell him that he has a song for him. After Charly tells him that he will listen to it in the morning and cuts off Axel, Axel is annoyed that he has spent so much time looking for a song only to be mistreated by Charly. Axel then watches the video clip that shows Toño leaving the building; he shakes his head as he thinks that if Charly knew that he can bring Charly down with that video…Charly wouldn’t underestimate him.
At the police station, Yameli writes a new song. Meanwhile, Juanjo thinks about his conversation with Wendy and then Yameli telling him that she loves him.
At Wendy’s house, Gloria brings Wendy breakfast in bed where Wendy is desolate because her marriage has ended and she will be a single mother. Gloria reminds her that Juanjo will take care of her. She urges Wendy to change her attitude because they need to go out and fight…against that woman who stole her husband and who doesn’t have what Wendy now has…a baby.
Ep 63: Part 3 Confrontations and Revelations
Outside the police station, Mike Barbosa reports that Yameli is being transferred to another facility. There is a crowd of Charly’s fans who is yelling out slurs at Yameli and asking for justice as she is being escorted out. Barbosa informs the public that the investigators are not convinced that Yameli was the mastermind behind the crime. Inside the building, Bowtie asks Charly why he is so interested in talking to Lareli. Charly responds that he doesn’t like lies; he wants Lareli to tell him why she killed Diana. After Bowtie reminds Charly that Lareli has not changed her stance on her innocence, Charly retorts that Bowtie should know that is not true. Charly wants Lareli to look him in the eyes and confess why she took what he most loved. Bowtie agrees to allow Charly to see Lareli, but he will accompany him to the prison. After Charly leaves, Olmedo questions Bowtie about allowing the visit; so Bowtie explains that he is curious…what will happen at that meeting will be very interesting. Olmedo thinks that Lareli might say something to incriminate herself, but Bowtie thinks that, conversely, Charly might say something interesting.
At the prison, Lareli is out on the grounds when Liz approaches her and asks why she is there. La Buitre then approaches with Lusma and La Flaca; they are Yameli’s welcoming committee. After Yameli tells them she doesn’t need a welcoming committee; Liz tries to speak up for Yameli, but Lusma wants a warm-up with Yameli; so Yameli quickly sucker punches her and kicks her in the gut. They start fighting as the others encircle them and urge them on to fight. Soon after, the guards come and break them apart.
Elsewhere, Juanjo takes Erick to meet Mike who is more than willing to work with Erick and set up tours around the world for him. After Mike leaves, Juanjo asks Erick if he is ready for the big times. Erick is ready, but notices that Juanjo is not himself. After Juanjo explains that he has a lot of problems and things that he has to think about, Erick assumes that Juanjo is worried about Lareli and reminds Juanjo that he needs to give it time since there is nothing that they can do right now.
Outside the prison, Charly arrives and is questioned by Barbosa. Charly replies that he is there to ask Lareli why she did such an atrocity. Charly is convinced that Lareli committed the crime, but he can’t say anything until the cops complete their investigation. Once inside, Lareli is brought to meet with Charly. When she asks what he is doing there, Charly tells her that he knows everything…everything she said, everything she did, everything she made him feel…was a lie. He knows that she didn’t come to work at Luxor because she admired him, but because she was a DEA agent. Yameli counters by asking Charly who he is…aside from being a phony, a traitor and a murderer. After Charly asks why she killed Diana, Yameli retorts that she didn’t’ kill her, but she would like to know what it is like to live with so much remorse. She thinks that what is worse than being in jail is being him…with so many sins. Charly again asks why she killed Diana. Yameli scowls that she did not kill Diana…and Charly better not say that again!Charly then brings up Toño and spills his false theory that Toño is her accomplice, but Yameli knows that he and Toño were accomplices for several years. Diana found out that Charly was laundering money and he had Toño kill her. Yameli then admits that she was a DEA agent; and just like they brought down Monchis…Charly is next. The difference is that Charly is a good-for-nothing…an imbecile…who has no idea who she is, but he will soon find out. Charly returns that she has no idea what he is capable of…he is going to make sure that she rots in jail. After he leaves, Yameli lets down her guard…and cries as she thinks of what Charly might do.
Rgv Chick, I am fully aware of your mad skillz at this point, but once again, you’ve attained an even higher level. You “see” and capture every essential word, action, nuance and thought. It was as if you wrote the episode yourself. You recreated the events cohesively and comprehensively - your insight is unparalleled. I am truly in awe.
Let’s begin with “La Buitre then approaches with Lusma and La Flaca; they are Yameli’s welcoming committee”. A great line in and of itself, but you took this a step further by putting names to the characters.
“(Linares never mentioned the call Diana made to him on the night she was murdered!!)” shows nothing escapes your eye or notice. And damn, why didn’t he say anything??
The seas were turbulent last night…
“Toño, however, would rather just shut Mora up permanently” is his answer for everything, right? “Toño has “friends” who can help them be rid of Lareli … when Toño insists, he tells Toño to do whatever he wants”. Cowardice at its worst.
“Charly returns that she has no idea what he is capable of…he is going to make sure that she rots in jail”. I think Charly meant to say that her corpse rots…Cringeworthy.
“As Charly keeps grinding Axel’s dream, Axel looks at him with disgust, but agrees that he will always be grateful for that opportunity” was sickening. Axel has allowed Charly to rob him of all confidence and self- respect. Settling for crumbs, thrown contemptuously. And then “Axel then watches the video clip that shows Toño leaving the building; he shakes his head as he thinks that if Charly knew that he can bring Charly down with that video…Charly wouldn’t underestimate him”. I am shuddering a bit. Axel has great suspicions but does not fully realize who he is messing with, in regard to Tono or Charly. I am fervently hoping he does nothing and survives this.
Juanjo could not even give Wendy 5 minutes for her life altering admission. Juanjo seemed to digest the news pensively. His response was completely calm and utterly cold. The mother of his child, his wife deserved more. I wasn’t’ expecting him to have a change of heart, professing his undying love but there should have been some words of kindness, of support, that not only will he take care of them, but will love the child as well. This galan is fading fast.
“Gloria advises him that if he wants to do what is best, then he will get back together with Wendy…and she knows that everything he is doing is because of “that woman.” If I were Wendy, I wouldn’t want him but the last part of Gloria’s statement cannot be denied. If Yameli had not reappeared, Juanjo and Wendy would have lived (rather) happily ever after.
I was relieved that Rizzo has set the record straight. Contreras now has the facts, he just needs to put the rest of the puzzle together.
It was Charly’s outsize ego that mad him visit Yameli in prison. It wasn’t to gloat but to look for answers to soothe his wounded, rejected ego.
I loved Axel’s friend’s voice and song (asesina) – I could have listened to him all day. If he is not someone with a recording contract, he should be.
Rgv Chick, reading your recaps are the highlight of my day. I look forward to them every morning with great anticipation. You continue to delight and amaze. Graias amiga.
Diana
Well, at least Rizzo finally let Bowtie know that Lari was helping the DEA get Monchis and juanjo revealed that Kari is actually Yami. The actor playing Juanjo does not being much passion to this role. He didn't have much of a reaction to the news about the baby , and he didn't seem very worried about the love of his life being in jail.
Yami has not lost her fighting skills . I just don't want to see more of the prison brawls.
I am worried about Axel. You are supposed to keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but arrogant Charly is equally dismissive to both friends and colleagues. If Axel gets tired of being Charly's punching bag , Charly may put him on Tono's not list. Uff.As for Tono, live by the sword,; die by the sword.
Have a good day everybody.
Irma was muy creeped out when Char!y was smarming all over her and inserting himself into her song. Charley just thinks nobody can resist Charly Flow. Barf.
Diana: Charly still wants Yameli DEAD though. He'll make sure of it.
Prison life will be extremely rough for Yameli.
Susanlynn: Axel's worthless. He enjoys being punked by Charly.
The DEA better rescue Yameli fast.
Susanlynn, "Irma was muy creeped out when Char!y was smarming all over her and inserting himself into her song". She certainly was! Thanks for reminding us. There was so much that happened. And yes, Charly does think he is irresistible. But yet, wasn't it awful when Yameli burst into tears after he stood up to leave her at the jail? Some hurts cannot be undone.
Steve, I beg to differ about Axel. I don't think he likes anything about the way Charly treats him. He is like a puppy who has been hit and keeps hoping that if he goes back, he will be treated better the next time. The job is his lifeline as it is for many. Sometimes you don't have the resources to walk away without something waiting in the wings. I am with you though on wanting Yameli out of jail. Pronto.
Diana
Excacly. And just wait until Juanjo shares the pregnancy news Susanlynn. She is in dire straits.
Thank heavens for Erick. He will be what keeps her going. I wonder if Juanjo is going to be the one to tell him Yameli is his mother?
Diana
Thank you, Rgv Chick.
Don't they have a back door at that police station? Do they have to parade prisoners through the gauntlet of the media? This was exactly how one of Monchis' man was killed when he was going to give information on Monchis.
I think Charly didn't realize the degree to which Lari knew the situation. She spelled out to him the motives and the way Diana was killed, linking Toño with Charly. If before, Charly only cowardly agreed to it, now he will be urging Toño to take out Lari.
Irma's opinions don't matter. If she voices doubts or objections they are dismissed. This is to work with Charly Flow. He is not losing the chance to promote himself in her song.
I'm rushed for time (which seems to be the norm lately), but wanted to drop in and tel you all how much I enjoy reading the commentary that echoes my own thoughts.
Diana, "The seas were turbulent last night…" Yes they were! And the lifesavers don't seem to be close enough. There are approximately 19 episodes left before we see any calming of the waters.
Susanlynn, I worry about Axel too, but I think he will come out of this a winner...at least I'm hopeoing so. Steve, I agree with Diana regarding Axel, "I beg to differ about Axel. I don't think he likes anything about the way Charly treats him. He is like a puppy who has been hit and keeps hoping that if he goes back, he will be treated better the next time. The job is his lifeline as it is for many. Sometimes you don't have the resources to walk away without something waiting in the wings."
Lucio, "Don't they have a back door at that police station? Do they have to parade prisoners through the gauntlet of the media? This was exactly how one of Monchis' man was killed when he was going to give information on Monchis." How do you do it?? You have read my thoughts once again!

Ep 64: Part 1 HALLELUJAH! JACK IS BACK!!
We start with Charly leaving the prison and being surrounded by reporters and his fans who demand justice. Charly thank his fans and states that all he wants is justice…for his daughter and for his family (don’t you just want to puke?)
Inside the prison, Yameli approaches Liz since she heard that she has a phone and Yami needs to make a phone call. Lis tells her that she will have to pay…preferably with kisses. After Yami tells her that she will pay her double, Liz passes the phone to Yami who calls Juanjo. After Juanjo tells her that he needs to talk to her, Yami tells him that she wants to tell him about Charly’s visit. Juanjo should come to the prison since it seems that anyone is allowed to come visit.
Axel enters Charly’s office and gives him the two songs he has obtained for Charly. The first song is the demo of “Asesina” by Bad Hombre; it is way cool! For the second song, Axel opts to play it for Charly who thinks it is awesome until Axel admits that it is his song. Charly then thinks that it isn’t too bad and it could use some adjustments. After Charly tells Axel that he needs to figure out how much unknown composers are paid, Axel explains that, more than the money, he wants to be identified as the composer of the song. Charly gulps and gives a forced smile (as he always does when he is about to lie) before he agrees and they high-five.
At the prison, Juanjo arrives and Yami receives him with a hug. She immediately notices that something is wrong, so Juanjo tells her that Diana’s attorney has recommended an attorney for Yami. Yami senses that there is something else on Junajo’s mind, so he confesses that Wendy is pregnant. Yami feels the ton of bricks falling on her, but manages a “congratulations.” Juanjo assures Yami that he wants to be with her, but Yami insists that he will have to be with Wendy…they can’t be together at the expense of Wendy’s happiness. Jaunjo stresses that they need to strive for their own happiness…after all they have been through, but Yami thinks that life is showing them that they can’t be together. When Juanjo tells her that this is something that just happened, Yami shakes her head and tell him that he doesn’t know how it feels to have a child. Once he sees the baby, he will know what true love is…he will want to take care of it, spend time with it and give it a family…and that will be with Wendy. Juanjo assures her that he will give the baby everything she mentioned, but not with Wendy. Juanjo doesn’t want to be with Wendy; he wants to be with Yami whom he loves. Yami shakes her head in dismay and repeats, ”Not with me.” When she asks him to leave, the guard approaches and tells Juanjo that he needs to leave, but Yami should stay because she has another visitor. As Juanjo walks away…JAACCKK!!! approaches. When Yami sees him she leaps up and hugs him tight…as Juanjo looks back…concerned. Yami can’t believe Jack is there; so Jack explains that as soon as he heard, he took the first flight over. Yami immediately assures him that she didn’t kill Diana, but Jack doesn’t have to hear her say it…he already knows. He encourages her not to fall apart…she is a strong woman, a fighter. He then tells her that he is going to get her the best attorney that exists…he’s not going to let her be brought down. Yami smiles wide…she still can’t believe he is there. Afterwards, she tells him what happened the night Diana was killed.
Toño calls Charly and tells him that he has the “surgery” set up. He has some nurses that are willing to work, but he needs money…100,000. They will give Charly time to get the money, but Charly wants the job done NOW and is willing to pay 125,000. Toño agrees.
Ep 64: Part 2 HALLELUJAH! JACK IS BACK!!
At the prison, Jack wonders about Charly’s motives; so Yami explains about Diana’s intent to report Charly for the money laundering and that Diana was going to get 70% of Charly’s assets. Jack can’t believe that Charly would be capable of that (murder), but Yami is sure Charly is capable of anything. When Jack wonders how they can prove everything, Yami suggests that they find Toño and convince him to give up Charly… Toño is a rat and all rats are disloyal. Yami doesn’t care what Charly has done to her anymore…but he killed the mother of his daughter; he needs to be in the can and rot in there.
At Luxor, Charly takes some kind of drug and calls Mora to set up a quick meeting. After he gets some bundles of money, he goes to meet with Mora and tells him to leave the country. Mora assures him that he is avoiding the cops, but worries that they will find him. Charly explains that Mora shouldn’t be worried since Diana was the one who signed everything.
At the prison, Jack tells Yami that the attorney will come see her the next day...all she needs to do is hold on…it takes more that some bars to bring her down. Yami nods, but looks somber. Jack senses that there is something else is bothering Yami; but Yami only tells him that it’s everything…life has been very unfair to her. When Jack insists that there is something else bothering Yami and offers his help, Yami assures him that he is helping her just by being there. Jack then suggests that Yami write a song…he is sure it will be the most beautiful song in the history of music. When the guard comes for Yami, they hug each other as Jack tells her to hang in there.
Cris and Wendy go talk to Juanjo. Wendy has some ideas to promote Cris and his songs. When Juanjo suggests that Cris get together with Erick since Erick has many more followers that Cris, Wendy and Cris agree. After Cris leaves, Wendy and Juanjo discuss some other ideas to promote Cris and Erick. Afterwards, Juanjo asks Wendy how she is, so she tells him that she is very sad, but looks forward to being a mother. Juanjo is also looking forward to being parents. It isn’t the ideal situation, but he will always be there for them. Wendy shoots back that he should have thought of that before he did what he did.
At Erick house, Lidia asks about Irma, so Erick shares how he has been trying to call her, but Irma won’t answer. Lidia urges Erick to look for Irma and ask her if she still likes him…and if she doesn’t, Erick should know how to lose.
Yameli is in the prison yard singing her new song when Liz comes to bring her a notepad. Yameli wonders how many kisses it will cost her, but Liz assures her that this one is free. Just then the guard comes to tell Yameli that she has a visitor. Inside, Yameli sees Erick who asks how she is and is glad to see her. He asks about the ballistics report; so Yameli explains that it will reveal the trajectory of the bullet to see if she could have been the one who shot Diana. When Erick wonders about the previous test, Yameli explains that that test showed that her hands did have gun residue on them, but she saw how Toño shot Diana and then he knocked her out. Yameli thinks that Toño must have put the gun in her hand and taken a shot (right idea, wrong person!). After Erick agrees that the scenario makes sense, he adds that he thinks he knows why Toño did it—Toño was Monchis’ right-hand man, and he might have thought that Charly had something to do with Monchis’ captu;re so he must have wanted to take revenge. Yameli suggests that they let the police figure out what happened. She then starts to tell Erick why she asked him to come see her, but instead asks him if he is okay since he looks sad. Erick confides that he is just tired and there are too many things that have happened; it seems that his family is cursed. Yameli assures him that his family is not cursed. People have to take the consequences for their actions; and they own their destiny…it just takes time. Yameli promises that things will be better very soon.
Ep 64: Part 3 HALLELUJAH! JACK IS BACK!!
At Luxor, Charly explains his ideas about the video to Irma. When he shows her the part of the idea where he will seduce her, he puts his hands on her hips, so Irma quickly pulls away. Charly explains that he is only acting, but Irma retorts that she is no actress…she is a singer. Charly asks her to calm down and proceeds to talk about the part of the video where he will sing with her as he seduces her…but she needs to enjoy it so that it will appear real and the viewers will buy it.
At Wendy’s house, Gloria asks Wendy if she has talked to Juanjo. When Wendy assures her that Juanjo will act responsibly, Gloria advises her not to take mere crumbs…she is the wife. Gloria thinks Wendy is too noble and Juanjo will take advantage of her. When Wendy asks what she should do, Gloria advises that she shouldn’t give Juanjo a divorce, but Wendy thinks it would be best to convince Juanjo that being with Yameli is not what is best for him…and show him what he will be losing out on if he doesn’t stay with her (Wendy).
Juanjo is drinking a beer when Pati approaches and comments that separations are horrible, but he should focus on the baby. When Juanjo remarks that he doesn’t know what to do, Pati reminds him of what he taught them…take the bull by its horns. Juanjo ponders the thought and tells Pati that she has given him a good idea.
At the Luxor recording room, Irma is practicing her song. Charly advises her that during the video, she needs to let herself go. Since there is no one there to watch, he wants her to show him what she is going to do in the video.
Wendy calls Juanjo and tells him that she has her first prenatal exam but her mother is not there (as her mother watches attentively); so Wendy wonders if Juanjo would like to go with her. Clueless Juanjo gladly agrees to go since he doesn’t want to lose out on that. Wendy mentions that she is not feeling well because of the nausea, but she doesn’t want to take any pills that could harm the baby.
After Juanjo hangs up, he meets with Zaria who tells him that she is going to meet with some activists who are very interested in Yameli’s case…and that will help them get exposure for the case. Zaria then asks Juanjo what Yami means to him; so Juanjo replies that Yami is everything to him…she was his first love…and she still is.
At the prison, Yameli is out in the yard watching two inmates box. As she watches, La Buitre tells Lusma and La Flaca that Yami is the one they have to defeather…and La Buitre will never be getting out of there so its good to make some money. La Flaca isn’t to keen on the idea so La Buitre tells her to leave. Across the yard, Liz goes to sit with Yami and tells her to be careful with the Bad Girls.
At Luxor, Irma practices her song. As she sings, Erick into the recording studio and sees Charly “practicing” the seduction scene of the video. After Erick enters the recording room and pushes Charly as he asks what he is doing with his novia, Charly and Irma explain that they are working. Erick glares at Irma and asks if her work is to kiss his brother. When he walks out angrily, Irma follows and tries to explain that they were practicing for the video, but Erick knows his brother well…that is how Charly hooks is women. When he mentions that he has been calling her, but she didn’t answer because she was too busy smooching with Charly, Irma slaps him. Erick doesn’t want Irma working there and asks Irma to quit Luxor and go with him, but Irma refuses…she isn’t going to throw away everything. Erick just wants her to be sure that she is respected. Irma still refuses to leave Luxor; she signed a contract and that is important to her. Shei isn’t going to let Erick control her or tell her what to do. When Erick asks if she is going to stay there, Irma explains that she has to concentrate on her career…and Erick should do the same; it would be best if they gave each other some time. Erick assumes she is breaking up with him...if what they had was not important, then it’s best that they end it now.
Jack is back. See Jack . See Jack go. Go, Jack, go. Rescue Yami, Jack. Go, Jack, go.
Charley is despicable... "Practicing" for the video....what a sleezeball. Ick.
I had a funny feeling that Liz wasn't just being friendly when she sat down a little too close to Yami. And I don't think that Liz is a good fighter like Yami's other friend who defended her from the bad girls and ended up getting poisoned and dying when Monchis poisoned Yami.
Poor Yami...so many battles to fight, so many after her. I was so happy to see Jack ride in and that he was so loving and encouraging to Yami and that he Will get her a great attorney. I don't know exactly who Jack is, but he seems to have some connections to powerful people. How is he connected to Rizzo. However, Will Jack be able to save her before the bad girls harm her ? Will Yami up with future father of the year juanjo or Jack? Will Charly pay The price for the people he has hurt?
I hate watching Wendy's mother telling her how to hold on to juanjo and juanjo being wishy washy and clueless.
I imagine all over CarayCaray Land, people were screaming JACK IS BACK!!!!! Just like Susanlynn, I was yelling at the TV, but in a good way. And I see you must have been too, because it was the title. Wow. Never have I been so happy to see an actor reappear. I hope he can eclipse Juanjo in Yameli's mind because I just can't get excited about that pairing. Jack, on the other hand, is perfect.
This was a great description of Charly:
. Charly gulps and gives a forced smile (as he always does when he is about to lie) before he agrees and they high-five.
Such a painful scene. Charly seemed to really like Axel's song, until he learned it was Axel's. And he wanted credit. Just more proof at how he diminishes and demeans his long-time friend. Makes me hate Charly even more. (NudyB is still on the fence of course. But JudyB totally hates the guy!)
As always, this episode was very well acted. Stomach-churning watching Charly try to seduce Irma and her discomfort and fear...both of him and of losing a chance to make it big. How much is she willing to compromise?
And Wowza, where did they find those gals playing the bad crew in the prison. Terrifying. I would probably have a heart attack just looking at them. Well a gastrointestinal cataclysm for sure. Scary and then some!
Sorry to have been "missing in action" yesterday. Too busy with the Little Tornado. There's a reason why women my age aren't fertile. And my heart goes out to any grandparent raising their children's children. A great treat to babysit but I don't think I could handle 24/7 at this time in my life.
RGV Chick: I like to know what's Jack's angle in all of this ?
Diana: Charly still upping the ante even further against Yameli. It's obvious he wants her DEAD!
Judy: Wendy & her Mommy need BIGLY anvils.
Susanlynn: Hoping nothing horrible happens to Yameli.
The sudden appearance of Jack after all these weeks was a wonderful surprise and a new twist. Juanjo ( which spell check likes to change to Banjo) looked very worried when he was leaving and looked back to see Jack and Yam hugging and the big smile on Yam's face. Juanjo looked like a sad puppy with his tail between his legs .. Roh ruh...I guess he was thinking "Who dat ?"
OT..but change in temperature this morning.Sunny, clear, no humidity. But much cooler.
Rgv Chick, the brain that you, Judy and I seem to be sharing is working in overdrive. On my life, I swear you chose the exact same title I was thinking of.
You portrayed the joy and the pain of last night perfectly. Exceptional in content and tone, we experienced the love and torment through your every word.
Your "When Yami sees him she leaps up and hugs him tight…as Juanjo looks back…concerned" said it all. Jack's appearance radiated love and concern. Love needed no explanation. He gave her the comforting words and relayed actions that should have come from Juanjo. Keep walking Juanjo.
"Yami feels the ton of bricks falling on her" relayed how Juanjo's words pierced her heart. "Yami doesn’t care what Charly has done to her anymore…but he killed the mother of his daughter" shows her growth.
"After Charly tells Axel that he needs to figure out how much unknown composers are paid, Axel explains that, more than the money, he wants to be identified as the composer of the song". Do we need to speculate how this will turn out?
"Wendy thinks it would be best to convince Juanjo that being with Yameli is not what is best for him". I don't think Wendy asking Jack to accompany her to the doctor was wrong. I wasn't a huge Wendy fan, but I have to admit, she's holding her head up, going to work, and despite a broken heart, is being fairly civil to Juanjo. Far more than I would have.
Susanlynn, I believe it was Ben who put Yameli with Jack after her original prison stay.
No spoiler, but after getting a gander at Irma's father, I suspect Irna is desperate to get away from home. I will simply say she may be fighting for her life. I think Axel is a far better match for her than Erick. But I am sorry that his heart is broken.
Marcelo Cordoba has stolen my heart (again). I hope Yameli experiences the same.
Rgv Chick, what a beautiful gift your recap was. As Judy noted, there is much joy on the patio today - gracias amiga.
Diana
THRILLED to learn that DA will resurface one again! I will record it and watch it with great delight. That and La Verdad Oculta are my favorites. I don't normally watch reruns.
As to the current TN, so sorry to be such a latecomer. I will stick with it now until the end. I recognize all of your names from over the years and remember some of the family problems you have shared. Last night I witnessed Jack's return. Does anyone have a few moments to explain to me, WHO IS JACK AND WHY IS HE SO AWESOME?
MANY THANKS...
ALL THE BEST, Florida
I have to confess that Marce!I had been my telenovio ever since in first saw him as Don Luis 's( Fernando Colunga) loyal bodyguard in Albirada because he reminded me of my sweet hub..looks and personality of the character he played ... strong, protective, faithful, kind, brave.
I can't help feeling that Wendy's pregnancy and the reappearance of Jack are red herrings. I think that juanjo and Yam will still end up together , partly because juanjo has been supportive like a good father to Erick all along as this story has unfolded just as he took care of his siblings when he was just a kid himself . Hyannis has always been a caregiver. I think that is why he just couldn't break the news to Wendy that he has always carried the torch for Yam..and then he discovered that she was as alive and his feelings returned but he just couldn't disappoint Wendy. Even though I wish Yam would end up with Jack, I think that Yam, Juanjo, and Erick will form that little family unit at the end of this tale...with maybe a little half sibling (Wendy and junior's baby). Will Wendy survive ?
I see that we are all just as excited to see that Jack is back :-) I can just imagine--had we all been together at JudyB's house, the ice cream and zinfandel would have been brought out, but this time to celebrate, not to drown out sorrows as in "Mirada". And Susanlynn, I can just see you in your cheerleading outfit leading us in that cheer LOL I had the exact same reaction...I shouted out, "JACK!" Juanjo better be skeered, veeery skeered.
Susanlynn, you're quite right about Liz, not the fighter like Fanny; she is supportive, but only gives advice and provides extras. Jack is some bigwig in the music business,. Rizzo hired him to refine and train Yameli in her new role as music producer. I still remember her trying to walk in heels and learning that "neta" was not appropriate for someone of that stature. Steve, Jack fell in love with Yameli; he is only there to help her.
JudyB, I have no idea where they found those Bad Gals, but the casting director sure did well. La Buitre gives me the same heebie-jeebies I would get with Toña on LDVDEC. (shudder)
Diana, I think we all know what Charly has in mind for Axel's song. Axel's only saving grace is that he knows how Charly works; so I'm hopeoing that he is more cautious than Yameli when he completely hands over the song...or he needs to have a way to prove that the song is actually his.
I wish Gloria (especially) and Wendy would just disappear...not off the face of the earth, just somewhere else on earth. Gloria has done nothing but create more chaos with her ill-suited advice.
WELCOME, FLORIDIA!!
Floridia and Susanlynn, I hope I answered your questions about Jack in my comment above. If you want more details just ask :-) Just another tidbit--Ben Rizzo is the DEA who offered Yameli the deal to shorten her jailtime if she helped them capture Monchis.
Susanlynn, Juanjo is a nickname for "Juan Jose." And "Even though I wish Yam would end up with Jack, I think that Yam, Juanjo, and Erick will form that little family unit at the end of this tale..." With the way Juanjo has been pining for Yameli all these years, you are probably right..I don't think any of us will be cheering the way we did when we saw Jack last night (sigh)
I completely forgot that Jack was in the music business. Then, I remember that he left for Miami , but most of us wanted him for Yam.I
OT...I hope that little Star has healed. Does she still have to wear that collar?
Susanlynn, "neta" is used in the same way we use "really, "seriously" or "honestly." When it is used with "la" as in "la neta" it means "the truth." Thanks for asking what "La Buitre" means. Had you not asked, I would have never known it means "the vulture."
OT- Star continues to progress each day; and yes, she is still wearing her collar..and complaining about it.
Floridia! Yes, I recognize you! So glad you joined us.
I had to smile at WHO IS JACK AND WHY IS HE SO AWESOME? Sigh. As Judy noted he is pretty much perfect.
I am fighting it, but I agree with you Susanlynn and Rgv Chick in that Juanjo and Yameli will likely be end game. I do think we are being taunted with Jack's reappearance, and that is just wrong. He was crushed when she didn't reciprocate her feelings and will be more so if and when it happens again. This TN has been anything but typical. I see the only reason Yameli being with Juanjo is if Wendy dies or if there is a miscarriage.
"Juanjo better be skeered, veeery skeered made my day Rgv Chick. Fabulous.
Diana
I have enjoyed all the comments and very pleased to learn about the return of
EY and La Gaviota.
Have fun enjoying the rest of the TN.
All the best,
Floridia
