Me Declaro Culpable #58, 05/07/2020: The one that made me wonder what I did to deserve this torture

Here is the recap. I made it out alive. This is almost as bad as "La Gata". I'm not sure what I did to deserve this.

Let's get to it: Franco has been missing for four months, Roberta and Tostito paid someone to leave the country using Franco's passport to make everyone believe that he went to Spain. Wait, Im assuming it was them but it could also have been Mauro. I was not paying attention.

Franco is not dead, it turns out Mauro saved him and he has been in a coma for four months, when he does wake up he has amnesia and can't remember what has happened in the last year. Mauro can't tell him that Roberta tried to kill him, that Natalia is in jail, and that he and Roberta divorced and that she married Tostito. I swear I'm calling him that not to be snarky but rather because I've managed to forget his name. Oh, Franco's doctor has warned that if he learns the truth he could have a brain aneurysm, ummmm, is that how that works? I don't think that's how it works.

Anyways, Natalia has her trial, basically Julian says a lot of things that I can't manage to pay attention to cause I don't care what happens to Natalia, in the end Paolo testifies, he cries and says he never wants to see Natalia again, he just wants her gone from his life. Natalia takes a turn at the witness stand and apologizes to Paolo, she tells him she loves him and says she is ready to accept her fate. She gets eight years in the big house.

Tostito is now in charge of the law firm, he taunts Mauro about being old and out of touch, it seems that Tostito now owns more shares in the firm than Mauro does. Anyhoo, someone should remind him that Mauro should not be messed with, if he set his wife on fire and attacked a man in a wheelchair what will he do to Tostito?

Gabriel looks terrible.

Natalia needs a manicure.

Ingrid is nuts.

Alba is mad at Mauro because she thinks that he is hiding vital information about Franco's whereabouts, which is true, what she does not know is that he is trying to protect Franco from Roberta.

Biancas baby is born, it's a boy!

Franco gets ahold of a phone and calls Roberta who faints when she hears his voice.

Julian and Katia plot to make sure that Paolo and Natalia hate each other forever, also Julian has evil plans involving the baby. Lesson for Katia: if a guy keeps telling you he loves someone else have some self-respect and create a Tinder profile.

Katia encourages Paolo to take the baby away from Natalia when it is born. I don't like Katia.

Mauro is about to tell Gael that Franco is alive.

P.S: the editing for this novel is terrible.

Blue Lass - thank you for this recap, and all the other recaps you have written for us.
"I'm not sure what I did to deserve this." Nor are we! We were hoodwinked, for sure.

My favorite line from your recap---
" Lesson for Katia: if a guy keeps telling you he loves someone else have some self-respect and create a Tinder profile." Yes!

Oooooh, we got “despuesed”!

So, Franco is alive. No surprise there. As Blue Lass said in her recent recap, Franco & Alba are endgame.

Um, yeah, I don't think finding out the truth will give Franco an aneurysm, brain bleed, or even stroke. #telenovelamedicine

What is interesting is Mauro protecting Frankie. Also on the list of withheld info is --- your unwed daughter is serving time in prison for H&R.
Is he protecting Franco for Alba? Or is it because Franco is the only person who has never ever lied to Mauro? Obvio that Mauro has plans to serve Tiziano his just deserts.

How did Bianca barely look pregnant in that scene at the Heartbreak Café?
Natalia looked like she had a beach ball under that maternity top. How did she not just explode that baby out in the court room?

Blue, I am so glad you mentioned Gael. I thought it was me! He looks like he has aged ten years, maybe from the disappearance of his BFF Franco without a trace, and the bromance is over.

The art work on the wall at Julian’s was interesting. (Again) It was that black & white print of what looked like a mechanical bull. He probably imagines himself as El Toro, too, powerful and putting his own horns to everyone. ~blech~ :-P

Maybe Gabriel's cancer is really real? After four months in Alba’s care, he would not be sick if Ingrid had been poisoning him while at the Little House of Horrors. Don't they do tests along the way to check for cell growth/remission?

Doris, ITA with all of your appreciative comments, but this was Princess JuJu's recap, not mine. We're all so disgusted it's hard to tell us apart. ;}

My favorite line: "Franco's doctor has warned that if he learns the truth he could have a brain aneurysm, ummmm, is that how that works? I don't think that's how it works." Jajajajajaja. None of this is how ANYTHING works -- that's why we watch. I love it. I hate it. I love it. I hate it.

Gracias, Princess Juju.

Franco probably is the only person whom Mauro feels he can trust. He may also be the only one who can be clear-headed enough to help steer the ship out of a sea of scandal if Roberta's crimes ever came to light.

Four months later, the writers are faltering.

Mauro, you may think you did the right thing, but you need to trust someone.

Paolo, one word: Shrink!

Natalia, dismiss Julián completely and call your abuelo.

Oh, good grief; Ingrid's not dead yet? Is Patricio a hallucination? The neighbor appears not to have seen him.

Gabriel, WTF is wrong with you?

Natalia, you would be better off without either of these jerks, but prison for life is not the answer. Don't punish yourself to save anyone.

Katia, you are far worse than I thought.

Natalia, eight years isn't forever, but it's much worse than you deserve. At least you will be away from Roberta (whom I suspect was no real mother to you from your birth).

Mauro, you are much smarter than Tizzy. I have confidence in you.

Natalia, it it comes to it, see that Alba or Mauro gets yor baby. You can't trust Katia.

Julián, you are a sadist.

Okay, writers; this hospital coincidence was ridiculous.

Gael, be the man you should be. Show Mauro he can trust you with the truth.

Mauro, you just rolled the dice and won. You should probably move Franco to another hospital.

Katia, our Karmageddon choice for you will be to lose your very superficial beauty.

PRINCESS JuJu --- my apologies for typing in Blue Lass's name in my thank you!!!
(how embarrassing) Caffeine had not kicked in, and I knew it was YOU, but my fingers typed the wrong name. Me declaro culpable! Gah.....

Mauro --- Old age and treachery will always beat youth ... and Kewpie Doll hair.

PRINCESS JUJU...I love your sense of humor. And you certainly need one, having been a Gata recapper and now in the purgatory of Me Declaro Culpable. Yes, we all must have been very very bad in a past life and Karma is extracting her due. Ooof.

Best of all, I enjoy your cut-to-the-chase style, as in:

Gabriel looks terrible.

Natalia need a manicure.

Ingrid is nuts.

But also:

Franco's doctor has warned that if he learns the truth he could have a brain aneurysm, ummmm, is that how that works? I don't think that's how it works.

and this:

Lesson to Katia: if a guy keeps telling you he loves someone else, have some self-respect and create a Tinder profile.

That got me thinking. Since Google is Boogle on these televisa shows. What would Tinder be....Cinder?

Anyway, thanks for a great recap. It's rainy and cold here but you brightened my morning with your sense of humor. Hope that the fostering experience is going well and your business as well in these trying times.

Blue Lass: Good Morning from the Alamo City & enjoyed your recap.

Doris: Looks like Franco & Alba are likely endgame.

Judy: Big question is who'll likely go to prison ?

So has Soggy Paolo been crying for four months straight? Silly question: of course he has.

Princess Juju, please know that your recaps are a bright spot in my day. Even today when the weather here seems to be the same as judyb's..gloomy, chilly with rain in the way and the temp dropping to 30 overnight tonight. I worry that my neighbor who owns a berry farm will lose his crops. Strawberries usual come in here by the end of May or beginning of June. Weird weather this year.

I especially appreciated the recap because I missed this episode because I met my best friend yesterday to lunch did e by side in our cars. Life has become even stranger than these shows.

I thought that It would be unlikely that the closest thing we have to a galan would be gone.

So is Bianca keeping the baby? Is Gael allowed to see him ?

I video chat every day with my 2year old and 7 year old Granddaughters, and it is a rambling experience , but not nearly as rambling and disjointed as this show. Oh well...it is a distraction from real life weirdness.

These people are mostly despicable and deserving of huge anvils. However, I suppose that in the end, we will see the quarterback and the head cheerleader happily covorting by the sea by the sea by the beautiful sea. Nat and Paolo and baby make three living in Paolo's tiny apartment. Gabe will be with abuelo. Somehow good just triumph over evil at the end ...right ? ..please writers ..give us a day of hope at the end of this dismal, dumb drama.

Susanlynn - how nice that you had a Sonic drive-in restaurant style picnic with your BFF yesterday! And nice weather to boot. We are creating memories during these times, trying to make lemonade out of lemons. The human spirit is amazing. 💗

It is a rainy, gloomy day here with predicted possible record lows tonight and tomorrow night, with frost. 😛 One local weather person said it would be an "Eryore-ish" type day... She was right.

Hey PJJ! Thank you for expending some brain cells for recapping MDC for us. As always, this was a witty piece of work. Your recap, not the show. Loved the title too!

How funny was it that when we cut to Paolo 4 months despues he is still crying!?

And helloooo Patricio (just call me Julieta la Otra). Finally a plot line I'm enjoying and it arrives in ultimas capitulos.

At least Nalalia is showing. As often happens in these tn's, you can't even tell if someone is expecting. Point in case... Marina (Dr. Yellowjacket, Hell on Wheels) from Cuando was expecting twins and never even showed a baby bump, let alone maternity clothes.

PJJ--What a delightful read of such a terrible disjointed episode. Your style is so breezy and personal, it's like having a friend share the latest chismes. Aren't you glad there's no tomorrow (well, next Thursday) for you?

Meses despues and both pregnant women are delivering (or about to deliver)? That must mean they were both about 5 months pregnant before the despues and were still in regular-sized clothing (or potato-sack in Nat's case). Ah well, more telenovela magic. It's almost as if we don't need beanies. The monkey writers are wearing them for us.

RLO--were you with us on Amores Verdaderos? Remember Dear Dr. Carlos referring to Kendho's pregnant belly as a basketball? We all had fun wondering how she'd be able to deliver a basketball. As for Marina--it must have been in her contract. She was a doctora, after all and had to maintain her dignity.

I knew Franco was not a goner, but I enjoyed seeing that Mauro found him alive in the flashback. What has me puzzled, is how he collected Franco, whisked him off to the hospital and surely told Tizzy the body was taken care of--by whom? Mauro seems to be a loner in his evil deeds. Is this tn populated by ghosts?

Are we seeing a redemption for Ingrid? She certainly seemed much toned down. I worry for Nat if they end up sharing a cell for a few years. At least they'll have ghostly visitors at all times of the night. Hmmm. Maybe Javier won't want to visit her in a jail cell.

Bertie and Tostito (love it) married? Give me a break. She disliked him intensly and was only using him. It was probably a "forced" marriage, but she did sort of behave herself in the courtroom.

JudyB--I swear I didn't visit Prime Time until after I posted this comment!!!!!
You told Elvira about her Vida recap, "Good morning Elvira. Enjoyed your recap written in your personal, breezy style." Is this great minds think alike? Or is it recognition of others' great minds. Anyway, we agree on the style. It seems to suit both of us. Wish I could learn to write that way.

OT..Doris, yes, this isolation is making us get creative. I just ran out of yarn so no more crocheting scarves and afghans as a distraction. Still have a bit of decoupage glue and still have paints and canvases. Thinking about putting plastic bags over the hostas before tonight's low temps .

Hah, ANITA...maybe we were separated at birth. Just like things happen in telenovelas.
As my "twin" you were tardy, taking several more months to get born....

Redemption for Ingrid? No way. She killed Javier with the poison she put in his food and if she isn't stopped she will kill Gabriel as well. At this stage I don't care if she gets murdered by Roberta or Tizzy or goes to prison and isn't protected in solitary. My fear is that this will end with nobody finding out what she did to Javier and Gabriel.

UA--I agree. It was tongue in cheek, but she was toned down quite a bit and her lion's mane was not draped in front anymore. Maybe it's just her new "luke.'

Is Gabriel really sick with cancer or is he sick because Ingrid poisoned him? Do we know? Also I'm in Los Angeles and have AT&T for my cable provider they have a channel called TVNolevlas (it's free), currently they are showing Cuando Me Enamoro but during one of their commercial breaks I saw a pretty big spoiler for this show.

PJJ--We all think Gabe is really sick with cancer. They did the tests, which Ingrid kept hidden for as long as she could, because she was going to minister to him. The poisons she was administering, I think, were to keep him weak and docile, so she could take care of him.

Princess juju, this timejumb is letting all kinds of cats outta the bag. And all kinds of stuff has hit the fan.

What is mauro thinking these days? I
Would love to see him make tizzy-tosti tiziano very uncomfortable. Maybe be a
Little Heat under his feet. The guy is
So arrogant. I don't like him.

Ok Franco wake up your brain cell time to get it back to work. I hope they don't drag this. Alba need for him to come back. I need him to come back. I need happiness, they need happiness.
Somebody be happy in thiz show.

I'm sorry yall are having dreery wet &
Snowy like weather. It's not that good
Here in not so sunny Florida either.
A chilly mother's is on the way. Why
Not Every thing else is wired. This year has been a mystery. What does the
Summer have in store for us?

Doris hope you had loads of memorable
Fun with you bffs yesterday before the December like strange weather.

I missed this episode but I'll see it on demand.

Ok thanks princess juiu, such a juicy
Recap. Ok y'all byeeee!
