Mi Fortuna es Amarte #25 Thurs. 3/31/22

Princess Juju is under the weather today.

Here are a few plot points from last night.  Feel free to add anything you noticed that I didn't.  : )

- Natalia tells Chente she never expected to  hear from Adrián again in her life but now he has called and she knows she will have to confront him. Chente has all the confidence in the world that she will be able to handle the situation.  She can also count on him.

- Olga tries to suck up to Granny Magos who sees right through Olga and tells her that Chente deserves somebody with values and class, somebody who isn't like her.  Natalia is her choice...

-Funny that Connie's country home is in same town as the spa.

- Natalia decides to paint the wall for the wedding even though Chente is ready to tear it down. Along with Ben, they have a good time together.

-Mauro convinces Omar to go to a stag party he is having for him. Andrea is not happy.

-Elías has hired two guys to kidnap Omar. (?) He doesn't want him hurt under any circumstance.

-Connie tells Regina it is better that Omar doesn't find out about Andreas' pregnancy before the wedding. Regina doesn't like that idea.

-Natalia invites Chente out to eat.

-Chente changes his mind and decides to stay in Mexico City rather than returning to the spa. Granny Magos likes the idea.

-Chente  insists that is his job to take Natalia out being the gentleman he is. They get Vale to look after Ben.  They both dress up and end up at a French restaurant which just happens to be Natalia's favorite.

-Regina and JoséJosé get along so well that she sticks up for him when Connie tells him he is not welcome in her home for dinner.  Regina tells Connie off and insists on going back to Mexico City. Tavo will drive Regina  back and drop Omar at the terminal so he can go to his party.

-Chole and Tavo make up.  JuanGa sees them kissing and is disappointed.

Omar talks to Andrea about the future. He has to find a job so they can go to England. His scholarship is ready. He wants her to complete her studies, too. When she brings up the possibility of them having a baby, he tells her it isn't in the cards. It isn't the right time.  A child needs stability and for them to mature.

-Chente and Natalia  admit to liking each other a lot but Natalia tries to downplay their feelings saying that she likes him in the sense that she is very comfortable with him and she trusts him. Chente readily agrees  that is all he meant. . . etc. but both are very nervous. Natalia thinks they need to get to know each other and not rush things. He agrees.

-At the end of dinner, Natalia tells Chente that Granny Magos is at an age when she shouldn't be living by herself. He agrees. She goes on and alludes to the fact that Granny Magos isn't doing well. Chente catches on and asks her straight out if Granny Magos is ill.

Loved Chente in his white shirt and jacket. Now if he only had on a tie. . . I so enjoyed the Chente/Natalia/Ben and Granny Magos scenes.

Princess, I hope you feel better soon!

Jarifa, thank you for your always outstanding recap.

"Regina doesn't like that idea" - and of course she is right, but Andrea isn't listening. I love that Regina stuck up for JoséJosé - good for her!

"Granny Magos likes the idea". Of course she does, love is starting to bloom, ever so gently. AND the fact she told Olga to her face Natalia is her choice was icing on the cake.

I wish I could have understood Chente and Nat's conversation at the restaurant. It seemed she was explaining a dish to him and doing everything to make him feel comfortable. The server was very helpful in explaining the correct wine pronunciation and did so in a gracious way.

Did Nat and Chente actually exchange a quick kiss during the wall painting scene or did I imagine it? Ben is another one who will be thrilled when they get together.

I did feel a bit badly for Andrea when Omar said they weren't ready for children.

Juanga can't catch a break.

Elias is the devil.

Jarifa, thank you!

Diana

Thanks, Jarifa. It was a nice surprise when the separate vacationers ran into each other!

What is Omar’s dad planning for him. And is his friend in on it? Not going to be good.
And he didn’t jump on the baby bandwagon. Not really surprising!

Natalia and Chente were so happy together. And loved when Olga found out they were together. Also great for Grandma Magos to tell her off.

Not surprised about Connie. Tavo sees her meanness and just lives with it. I wonder how long they’ve been married? He could have kept some of his earnings from her and have the money to buy the garage. Although I doubt she would have let him. William is his only hope!!

Gracias.

I loved the scene with Ben helping his dad dress up for Natalia. DZ is very good at playing a loving father. My first recap assignment was LFDD and it had a great scene of him and his son swimming with dolphins.

Juanga can be a jerk but he's too good for Vulga.

Natalia and Chente in a French restaurant... predicting that this restaurant will become her client. I love that she recommended boeuf bourguignon because that is one of my specialties! I fear the bill, though.

Omar knows he is not ready to be a dad, so this will not end well.

Diana, Natalia was explaining to Chente all about escargot as their appetizer. Yes, everyone was so kind to make him feel comfortable and he fit right in with the manners Granny Magos taught him.

Okay, I had to rewatch the scene and Chente did steal a kiss. You didn’t imagine anything. What a feel good episode with Chente and Natalia.

Thanks so much Jarifa. I caught the boeuf but not the escargot!! It was such a good scene you could just feel his discomfort dissolve in the face of lovely Natalia's kindness and sweetness.

So happy they kissed especially with Ben beaming in the middle!

Urban, you sound like a talented chef. Do you make Julia Child's recipe?

"Feel good episode" is spot on. We need more of these Jarifa. Many more.

Diana

Princess Juju, I hope you feel better soon.

Jarifa, thank you for doing this recap, and doing it so well. It's always a great help to review what I have seen and perhaps didn't fully understand.

I wasn't sure about that kiss at the wall. I think that this novela has done this a few times now, have Natalia and Chente look into the other's eyes and not turn away but start leaning in... and then usually break it off. Sometimes it's so close I can't tell if lips grazed or not, like at the wall. But they are definitely on track to full contact   :-)

The dinner date was interesting, and perhaps a little sweet, but like UA I fear the bill. I hope this was not a TN setup that finishes with a very embarrassed Chente.

I actually did enjoy the non-tryst of Vulga and Juanga. Perhaps now Chole will get a break if Juanga transfers his "affection" to Vulga. If he makes any progress it would be good for Vulga too. Maybe she would back off from Chente a little. (Hmmm... episode 25. Too soon?)

Regina is a treasure.

Anyway, a fun episode and a fun recap! But I am very nervous about what Villainous Elías is up to. Nothing good, that we know.

Andy
