Caray, Caray!

 Hey, JudyB, it is heating up here this week but tonight is still nice and cool.  It is particularly windy so hold onto your coffee and pan dulce. Hope you enjoy the assortment I got at the panadería. 

1. While Natalia is out with Fernanda, Chente and Ben are making a delivery of her tortillas españolas in the neighborhood. The  vendor has bad news for Chente. The novelty of the tortillas españolas has worn off and they are not selling.  He will take one of the tortilla españolas instead of the five he ordered  but if that doesn't sell, the deal is off. 

2. 2XJosé and Regina talk about plans for vacation time from school and what they can do together. She wants to do more with her channel like really helping people. They decide to start today. 

3. At the club, Sami sees Fernanda and Natalia together and decides to join them uninvited.  She sees them laughing and all smiles. She asks why is going on. Fernanda says it is something between friends. Samia reminds them she is a friend, too.  Anyway, she knows that Natalia has so much to tell her. Natalia turns serious and asks about what? Samia says she heard there was a new romance. Fernanda remarks how quickly good news flies. Samia asks how long has it been since she has been going out with that  . . . (she crinkles her nose in disgust) Chente. Natalia says it has been couple of weeks and sarcastically adds that if Samia didn't hear that, they didn't tell her all of the gossip. Samia says she has plenty of time to hear the whole story! 

4. Chente cooks up a scheme so Natalia doesn't know that her food isn't selling because he doesn't want her getting sad. He tells Ben he will buy the tortillas and give them to the guys at work. Ben agrees not to talk about it. Chente asks Ben if he doesn't want to try making a vowel sound for him. Ben shakes his head but then tries anyway.  No sound comes out. Chente tells him not to worry and tries to get him to sing a song his mother used to sing. Ben is unable to do that either.  

5. 2XJosé and Regina come home to pick up Ben to be part of their video team.  Chente sees 2XJosé and Regina and asks his brother if he is here with him,  who is watching his business?  2XJosé says he left the two guys there but only for a short time.  2XJosé and Regina will look after Ben while Chente goes to the hospital to visit Granny Magos. 2XJosé was there already and will spend tonight with her.

6. Olga tells Simba that she met Natalia's husband, who she is still married to,  at the office where she had to go pick up the money to pay  him. She hands him an envelope with the 25 for him. That amount along with the five she gave him earlier gives him the 30 he asked for as a down payment. Simba tries to get friendlier but Olga isn't having it. She wants Natalia taking her last breath today. Simba warns her that he wants every single peso of the rest of his payment when the job is done. She reminds him that she is running the show and until Natalia is in a hole in  the ground sand he is consoling her Chente in her arms, he won't see another peso.

7. At Connie's Andrea tells Adrián that she managed to leave the envelope with the money behind even though neither Natalia or Regina wanted it. He is pleased. She remarks that she is his daughter, isn't she? Andrea asks if he forced a kiss on her mother. With a smile, Adrián confesses it was like an impulse he couldn't stop.  As the kiss went on,  he felt that Natalia  still loves him. Adrián can see that because Adrián is such a special man and so superior to the "hermaNACO" (Chente). Andrea tells him he has to keep up his efforts to get Natalia back. He assures her that is what he is going to do. They are going to be a family again. Andrea says with her being around Chente 24/7, he has to do something NOW. He should Take Nataliaaway with him to a super romantic place for a couple of days. He has to make her fall in love with him again and remind her of what they had together. Adrián says it might complicate things but he won't ask if she wants to go. Andrea agrees and tells him to play a real Romeo. Her mother will end up forgiving him and realize that  he is the love of her life. 

8. Regina makes videos for her channel with 2XJosé and Ben. All of the videos are being made to help solve certain problems people are having at a senior shelter. (I spy the same legendary red metal wheelchair from "La que no podía amar" and "Vencer el pasado."  They sure make good use of their props. ) The man who is using it needs a new one! (nothing new with that request)

9. At the club, Connie now has joined the Natalia and Fernanda as well as Patita who says that the only one who is missing is Vero. Fernanda chokes on her drink and explains that nobody's missing her. Samia says the real reason they are there is to celebrate her very dear Natalia's birthday whether it is a late celebration or not. Connie  has to remark that Natalia has been celebrating and celebrating. She asks Natalia if that has been with Chente. A smiling Natalia says yes it has and that is the result of being a woman surrounded by true affection. Patita acts surprised and asks if Chente is the guy they ran into that other time. Samia wants to know what  kind of magic there must be being with a man like VICENTE. She is sure he must be a real "bull"  in a lot of things considering she is such a delicate thing. Natalia's eyes grow huge as she is surprised by that tacky remark. Connie adds they are a real "beauty and the best". Fernanda reminds Connie that she won that title when she married  Tavo. Connie returns the insult telling Fernanda it is better being a beauty with a beast than an old maid without a prince. Samia don't want them getting off track. She wants to hear the details of Natalia's love story. Natalia tries to keep smiling.

10. In London, Vero is on the phone with Olga who tells her she had no problem picking up the cash. She even met Natalia's husband explaining he has his office there and everything. Vero asks how he looked. Olga thinks he was very handsome; a real bon bon. Vero looks aggravated. They were chatting and when he found out that Natalia was being a whore with Chente, he invited her out to eat.  Then he laid a bomb on her. She is gong to use the info to open her Chente's eyes.  Vero is not happy with what she is hearing and asks Olga what that could be. Olga says that when Chente is not around, Adrián is coming around to see that slut Natalia at the house. Vero crushes he wine glass in her hand in anger and is left with a bloody hand. 

11. Samia toasts to Natalia and Chente showing that true love between social classes doesn't just happen in telenovelas. Patita  toasts to Chente not being  like Adrián. Connie asks if Natalia has seen Adrián. Natalie nods. Connie adds that she heard that Vero got tired of him  and told him to go to hell.  Samia says that is what unfaithful husbands do; they come home with their tail between their legs looking for forgiveness. Natalia can attest to that. Adrián told her how very sorry he was,  how he still loves her and how when he was with Vero, he never stopped thinking of he or their daughters. He says he found out he had had it all too late. Samia thinks that is beautiful. Natalia says she told him what a filthy kind of man he was and not bother her again. Fernanda can drink to that. The other friend asks if he knows she is going out with Chente. Natalia says of course. She has not hidden the fact that she is in love with a marvelous man like Chente. Connie has some input as a sister and a woman. Since Adrián and Natalia  are still married,  she is sure that Adrián is up to something to destroy her romance. 

12. A clearly jealous Vero tells Olga that that Adrián must have lied to her.  She knows that Natalia will never forgive him that easily. She isn't like that.  Olga thinks she could forgive that cute guy if he cheated on her or did worse. Anyway,  Natalia is shameless and she is loving the idea of going to with both of them at the same time. Natalia doesn't fool her with her innocent "Mrs." face. That old lady is more of a beyotch than both of them together. Olga says that is why her Chente is going to find out that she has been smooching with  her ex. Vero asks Olga about the money and her plan to get rid of Natalia. Has she wimped out? No, Olga says everything is going as planned. Vero proclaims that if Adrián is not hers he will be nobody's.  Vero starts to explain her situation when Olga finds out she is the beyotch who robbed Adrián. Vero says that Adrián promised her heaven but no matter what she did, that idiot Adrián never could get over that simpleton Natalia and she never could get her out of his heart. Olga tells her to be happy and reminds her if  everything goes right tonight, that bitch will stop barking. 

13. Natalia makes it clear that she doesn't care to talk about what happened  or didn't happen with Adrián. Samia is sure  that Adrián returned to win her back. Natalia asks what about what she wants? Patita tells her that women forgive everything. Natalia says that is not her. Patita warns her that one day she could be sorry for playing the role of the "woman with dignity ". Samia thinks that separating from Adrián could end up resulting in the joke being on her. Natalia asks how she could think that Adrián betraying  her in the worst possible way was a joke. Natalia says clearly they are not talking the same language because she has become a woman who respects herself. Samia would like to know what she is insinuating. Fernanda explains that they all know that Samia's marriage to Elías is one of appearances. Samia tells them that they have no idea what she and her husband talk about. They have no secrets between them and that is what makes their marriage successful.  She turns the conversation back to the topic of the day: Natalia getting back with her husband because he still is her husband. Natalia laughs. Connie thinks that Natalia has to recognize that she had an excellent marriage with Adrián. Natalia laughs as Connie adds that it lasted twenty years! Natalia admits that she was very happy until the crystal palace shattered. As Connie continues to verbally harass her, Natalia decides to call it a day saying that it was a pleasure seeing them all. They all try to get he to stay as she strides away. Fernanda follows her first assuring the women that she has already covered the cost of the meal. 

14. Chente is visiting Granny Magos and she can see that there is something wrong. She is  worried knowing how jealous he is and that he is going to lose his head over the fact that Natalia's husband is back on the scene. She is sure that he and Natalia love each other and that should give him confidence. He says he trusts Natalia but doesn't trust that outrageous Adrián.  It makes his blood boil to know that he is roaming around. Granny Magos says let him roam around. Natalia is very good looking and there will always be guys wanting to be with her. He comments  that Granny Magos  isn't helping him. He won't be able to sleep easily. Granny Magos tries to explain to him that among all of those men, Natalia chose him. Is he sure he isVicente Ramírez Pérez or not??? He sees her point and agrees although doubt is still in his eyes. 

15. Samia tells the other two women that she bets that Natalia will end up back with Adrián. Connie sure hopes so rather than her being ridiculous with that guy from the edges of society. Adrián arrives. He asks to join them and its don pouring himself  glass of wine.  He didn't expect to see them. Connie tells him he just missed Natalia. They were celebrating her birthday. Connie and Samia  tell him how they have tried to talk her out of her  novio. He is just the worst ever. Patita asks if he is going to allow Natalia to hit bottom with her "Mexican appetizer."  Adrián explains that Natalia isn't really in love with the auto parts salesman. What Natalia is going through is a reaction to what he did. Connie remarks how certain he is. The eternally smiling Adrián adds that tonight that is all going to change. He says it was so nice seeing them all, but he has to go. . . and he does.

16. Tavo is in his office thinking about what Tere told him abut how hopeful Chole was about having his baby and feeling guilty about not telling her about his supposed problem. Chole comes into his office with his lunch. She talks about being at the hospital and see Granny Magos and stopping by the nursery to see the babies and thinking about how theirs could be there. How she is dying just to have her own baby in her arms! She reminds him that tonight they will be "writing another letter to the stork".

17. Natalia gets a call from a smiling Vero with a bandaged hand telling her that she should feel very lucky with her new love. She asks if Chente is filling Adrián's shoes? Natalia is very upset and Vero reminds her when they were teenagers and told each there everything. Continuing her torment of Natalia, she asks which one kisses better: Chente or Adrián? Natalia wants to know why Vero is calling her and what she is after. Natalia tells her not to try and pull anything. Natalia is frantic wanting to know how she found out that Adrián was at the house.  Did Adrián tell her? Vero says that could be or maybe it is a person who is very close to her that is giving up every detail of her life. Would she like to know who that is ? Vero would be glad to tell her but only in person. She is in Mexico

18. Regina is finishing her video supporting the senior shelter to be posted on line while 2XJosé and Ben watch on. The title is "The neighborhood has your back." 2XJosé and Regina almost kiss but Ben is between them. His almost gets crushed.

19. Vero explains she had to make a very quick trip back to Mexico to take care of some pending matters but she will be leaving tonight.  Natalia decides she doesn't want to meet with her. Vero  knows she does want to talk to her and also knows that in order to win her back, Adrián told her that she (Vero) was the cause of everything. Does she want the truth? Proof of Adrián's embezzlement? Where everything is that he stole from her, her mother and even Chente? She tells her to write down her location. Natalia does. Natalia says the address seems to be very strange. Vero says she is trying to make it work. She will wait for Natalia for five minutes. If she does not show up, she will board her plane and leave. Natalia is left wondering about what is going on. 

20. At Vero's house, Adrián is watching Regina's video about the senior shelter. The maid Juanita  comes out with an espresso for him. (I just recognized the actor. It is María Prado who played that baby switching conniver Nieves in "Vencer el pasado") She informs him that she just talked to Vero who was not happy at all with him staying there. He tells her that when she calls again, she needs to tell Vero that they need to discuss it personally. Juanita adds that he needn't worry because in the end, Vero said he can stay as long as he wants. He says that he is not really thinking about staying there very long. She asks where would he be planning on going? Adrián is sure that   he will be back living with his family. If everything goes well tonight, they will all be back together. 

21. Olga meets with Simba gives him the address. When he gets there, he needs to hide so the old lady doesn't see him. He says he will be hidden waiting for Natalia to show up and he shows her how he will cut her throat. h reis to get "handsy" with Olga but she isn't having it.  Olga tells him not to cut Natalia's  throat. It has to look like an assault not an execution. Simba plays around with the knife  saying he will get her in the guts. Olga says no, she wants Natalia stabbed in the heart where Chente never should have been.

22. It is almost closing time when Chente brings his ailing truck over to the garage. Vale says they can take a look at it first thing tomorrow morning.  He asks how Vale is feeling. She is feeling just great being back in the neighborhood. She thanks him and JuanGa for having her back. Chente tells her she is part of their great neighborhood family.

23. Chente comes in on a visibly upset Natalia with her purse. He asks if she is going out somewhere. She says no and wonders why he is asking. He wonders if it has to do with Adrián because  she looks nervous. He reminds her that they said they would have no secrets between them. She explains that her old friend Vero, who ran away with Adrián, wants to see her. She said she would give her proof of Adrián's embezzlement and what he did with all the money he stole. She clarifies not just her money but her mother's and  that of others including what was stolen from him when he said he was selling Chente the house. He asks if she is going. She asks him what to do. He tells her to go. If she does, then people could get their money back and Adrián could end up behind bars again. Natalia  is worried that Vero might be lying and it is an excuse for something else.  She shows him the address and he tells her they will go together. Chente goes to get his truck at the shop. She emphasizes that they have to be there on time.

24. As Olga listens in, Chente explains to Tavo that he needs his truck back because he and Natalia have to meet with Vero. It all happened at the last minute.   Tavo is surprised because he didn't think Vero was in Mexico. 

25.  Natalia explains to Regina that she has to go out and that Chente is taking her. There is noise at the door. It is Andrea saying that she needs her to help her. She starts to drag her mother out of the house. She is having a problem.  She needs her to leave right now. She has her car. Regina agrees to go with them. Natalia leaves in such a rush, she forgets her phone. Natalia says they have to wait until Chente gets back. Andrea insists they do not have time. They have to leave right now. Andrea wants her decision right now or will she prove that she only has her aunt Connie to depend on.  She finally browbeats Natalia into leaving. Olga sees Natalia get in the car. 

26. Chente is still getting his truck back while Tavo asks him if he wants him to come along. Chente says no but thinks it is worthwhile going if nothing else to find out if Adrián has been lying all along blaming the embezzlement on Vero. If that is the case, he deserves to be in jail. FINALLY, Chente gets in his truck and goes home to pick up Natalia. Olga is now on the street monitoring the situation. 

27. Olga calls Simba to tell him the Natalia is on her way alone. She sees Chente and tells him  that Natalia left already. Chente doesn't understand. She tells him that she left in a car. He says that cannot be and goes into his house and she follows him in. Chente calls out to Natalia and looks for her in the house but she is gone. He tries to call her and notices that she left her phone behind. Tere comes down and asks where her daughter is. Chente talks about her going to see Vero. Tere blesses Chente as he goes out to look for Natalia. Tere reminds him that Vero's intentions can't be anything good. Olga insists on going with Chente even when he tells her NO twice. (Sorry, but Chente cannot be that dumb to allow nasty Olga  to come along. This cannot end well with Olga riding shotgun. Somebody needs to tell Chente  that being gullible is not a virtue.)

28. Andrea has delivered her mother to a limousine. Natalia wants to know what is going on. Natalia whines and begs her mother not to ruin the surprise. Natalia presumes that her father is behind this. Regina tells Andrea to tell the truth. Andrea needs both of them to trust her. Natalia says she trusts her but doesn't trust her father. Natalia understands that her father would do something like this but Andrea was not telling her the truth. Andrea begs her to play along with this. If it doesn't work out, she promises that she will accept the "hermaNACO." Natalia tells her the things are not going to change. Andrea whines on some more insisting that even though she and her father are finished they all are still a family. She begs her to do it for her baby. (How many times have  I said how much I cannot stand Andrea?) She doesn't want her baby to be born in the middle of a war. PLEASE!!!!

29. Olga is whining about how Chente is driving. He is making her nervous. Well, he has to find Natalia. Something happened to her when he went for the truck. B*tchy Olga thinks Natalia took advantage of the  fact that he was gone so  she could leave by herself without having to get into it with him. Chente insists that Natalia isn't like that. Olga feels like she is going to explode listening to him defending Natalia so much when she isn't being straight with him. He asks what she is talking about. She reminds him of the kisses that she shared with her husband in his own house. He says that only happened once and  that miserable guy forced himself on her. Olga understands  that is the version that Natalia told him. Chente finally asks how does she know about all of this anyway. She says that Adrián told her himself. 

30. Regina says she will go along with whatever her mother decides. Andrea begs her some more and promises it will be a super lovely time. Natalia looks at her watch and realizes she missed Vero. Natalia tells Andrea that she is sick and tired of the stupid things her father does. She has told him so many ways to respect her and to stay away from her. She is indignant that he is now using Andrea for his tricks. She has  reached her limit and he will have to hear it. She agrees to go. Andrea squeals (like a pig)  and asks her mother to open herself up to all possibilities. 

31. Andrea crawls in the limo. Natalia goes to  call Chente knowing he must be so worried about her. She realizes she left her phone behind. Regina agrees to lend her her phone but she doesn't know Chente's number. Regina decides to call 2XJosé so he can pass on the message. Regina quietly asks her mother if she is sure she wants to go. Natalia makes it clear the only reason she is going is to end the situation with Adrián once and for all so Adrián isn't continually bugging her day after day.  She and Regina get into the limo. 

32. A police car is following Chente with its lights and siren on. Chente asks where Olga met Adrián.  She says after one of the many times that he came by to see his wife. Chente says she is no longer his wife. Olga doesn't think that Adrián would agree. She saw him outside of his house then other day. She went up to him and asked him who he was looking for.  When Chente is occupied with the police officer, he gets a call from 2XJosé on his cell phone. Olga conveniently declines the call and makes it disappear. 

33. Claudio, with his customary drink in his hand, asks if there is any news about Natalia. Tere says that Regina texted her. She was going to meet up with Adrián. He asks what that has to do with Vero. Tere has no idea of what is going on. Claudio says that Vero isn't in the country. Adrián told him. Teresa asks why Adrián would tell him something like that.What kind of deals is he involved in with him anyway? Claudio says none. He has only seen him a couple of times. Enraged, Tere asks Claudio if he was the one who got Adrián out of jail. Has he been helping him? Claudio asks her who does she take him for. He would never betray this family that way.  She has the feeling that he is hiding way too many things from her. She wants him to tell her everything at once because she will find it all out sooner or later. Claudio insists he has nothing to hide. As a matter of fact, tomorrow he is going to ask him why he said that he had returned HER money. Adrián is going to find out what kind of a man he is. Of that she can be sure of. He is going to force him to pay her back. 

34. Samia has summoned Mau to her house. She wants him to talk to Omar and tell him that now is not the right time to come back to Mexico. He asks if she is worried that he will find out the Andrea is expecting his baby. Samia says they do not know yet if the baby is his or not. Mau cannot see it belonging to anyone else. He and Andrea adore each other. Samia says until they can do a DNA test to confirm he is the father, it is better that Omar doesn't know about it. She wants him to tell Omar that Andrea has moved on and is going out with somebody else or whatever he has to in order to get him to turn the page in his own life. She asks Mau if he would do her that favor. He thinks about his run-in with Adrián and decides that he will do  what she is asking. He doesn't have Omar's phone number nor knows how to contact him. A happy Samia will share it with him. 

35. In London, Omar is tossing and turning thinking about Andrea. He starts to cry. 

36. Natalia and her daughters have been delivered to an outdoor venue where Adrián has had created a huge sign asking  the family to forgive  him because he loves them. Smiling as usual, Adrián is there to greet them. 

37. Simba is at a deserted area of an airport. He is next to a plane practicing his stabbing technique on some wooden crates. Chente pulls up in his truck. Simba hides. Chente goes to look around and sees that Natalia is not there. Olga thinks it was all a ruse so that Natalia could meet up with Adrián. Chente insists that Natalia would never lie to him. Olga does not agree with the way he trusts Natalia. He wants to call home to see if she went there. Chente finds his phone isn't working. Olga thinks that his battery must have run out. She suggests that they call not Natalia but Adrián on her phone so that Chente can find out what is going on once and for all. 

38. Adrián is ready to make a toast to his girls and Natalia. Natalia refuses to partake in the champagne. She stands clearly displeased with her arms crossed. He welcomes them all as Andrea fawns all over him. (vomitable) Regina asks why they are there. Adrián knows  that Natalia remembers this place; he proposed to their mother here. She made him the happiest man in the world when she accepted. Now on his knees, Adrián asks no, he begs them to be a part of their lives. He implores them to forgive him. Andrea goes to hug him. Regina follows. Natalia remains unmoved.
