Caray, Caray!

 Hey, JudyB,  here is hoping you are enjoying  Memorial Day on the  patio. I am sure you will find whatever you might like on the grill. Ice cream sundaes are the desserts for tonight!

1. Natalia decides to leave Connie's but Tere decides to stay and wait out Connie's bad mood explaining to Natalia that Connie needs her because she has nobody else but Delia the maid. She reminds Natalia that  if it were Andrea, Natalia would be doing the same.  Natalie has to agree. 

2. Adrián meets with Samia who is upset that Elías keeps pretending that Omar does not exist. Adrián informs her that her son is living in a rented room near Natalia's.   He sees that as a real sorry situation considering he is a Haddad. Samia says it is all her fault for mistreating Andrea but now she is set to recognize her as  a daughter-in-law because, in the end, she loves her son. Adrián cannot believe what he is hearing. Sami confesses to having spent days balancing her energy so she could turn into an understanding, loving and divine mother-in-law. She knows that the way back to her ChuChú is through Andrea so she is dedicated to planing the perfect wedding for them. Adrián smiles.

3. At Chente's shop, Chente tells Omar that the fonda is opening tomorrow so he won't be around much but he is confident in  Omar being able to run things for him.  Omar reminds him he won't be around but a short  time because he needs to finish his education and look for better opportunities. Chente  emphasizes that getting things settled with his family is of utmost importance. Andrea brings Omar some healthy tuna fish salad for lunch. He knows she doesn't like to cook. Andrea makes it clear that she doesn't know how to cook but wants to learn so she can make some super delicious baby food that  her mother told her about.  Andrea ignores Chente. Omar asks him to just give Andrea time. Chente says that he knows that she wants to see her mother back with her father.

4. Samia says that she needs Adrián to talk Andrea about meeting with her so they can plan the great event of her wedding. Adrián doesn't think that her husband Elías is going to be pleased with the wedding. Connie thinks if her husband were to recover his common sense and put his pride aside, he would be so much happier with the  arrival of his grandson and that he would make him his heir.  Adrián agrees to assist her but only if she has Natalia help with the wedding preparations because if she isn't allowed to be involved, she will never forgive him.  Samia sees that as basically "mission almost impossible."  Adrián makes it clear that since he needs to get his wife back no matter what it takes, that is his condition.  Samia ends up shaking on the deal. 

5. Chole starts chewing Kim out for not being on the job. Where was she? She was out buying a pregnancy test for Chole. Chole is afraid to take it just in case it turns out negative knowing how depressed she will be. Kim says if it is positive,  she will be filled with joy. The time has come. 

6. Mario has brought some auto parts to Tavo so he can give his opinion on them. Tavo asks him not to put him is this position. He knows he owes Mario a lot in getting his business back but he has been one of Chente's customers for years. Mario explains that he only wants him to take a look at the parts, see how the quality is and if he is interested, he can give him a good price, 30% off as a matter of fact, the lowest price in the area. Tavo calls Vale over. She looks at what Mario brought and  declares them to be high quality parts. Tavo concludes that with those prices, Chente is going to lose a lot of customers.  Mario says it is simply the law of supply and demand. Tavo decides that  will continue being Chente's customer and hopes it doesn't bother Mario. Mario says that is his decision but Tavo could be increasing his profits. Tavo, the parts and Mario go to talk in private in his office. 

7. Olga comes into the kitchen for some coffee where JuanGa is happily preparing for the grand opening of the fonda. She cannot take him calling Natalia his "cuñada" sister-in-law.  He used to not like her. He explains the he really didn't know her before and now he does. He knows she wasn't doing his brother wrong so he now  thinks that she is the woman that  Chente deserves in his life. Olga doesn't agree and tells him to look at himself working like a slave all alone. JuanGa says he is sick of Olga and her bad vibes. He isn't the old JuanGa who was crying about her and begging her all the time.  He tells her to take a good look at him because the only way  she will  ever have him is in her dreams. She says that would be in her "nightmares" and leaves. Juanga continues preparing the food. 

8. On the street, Natalia pauses and looks at the sign for the fonda: "La Sazón de mi Corazón"  (Seasoning/Flavoring from My  Heart). She smiles and enters the newly decorated patio/fonda and  has a seat in front of the "welcome" sign as she takes it all in. 

9. As Regina is waiting for 2XJosé outside the prep school, a boy notices her. He asks Mau, his companion,  who she is. Mau identifies her as Regina Cantú. The boy asks Mau to introduce her to him.  The new boy is Lorenzo and is from Guadalajara. He is Mau's cousin. It turns out that he is interested in studying at his prep school and study journalism just like Regina.  Mau asks Regina if she could help Lorenzo get settled since he doesn't know anyone his own age in Mexico City. She says of course. She thinks they will get along really well. 

10. Tavo cannot understand how Mario  could be in business again with Adrián. Mario says he is being cautious and explains to  Tavo that all he went through taught him a couple of things: business cannot be run on friendship or love. Tavo hopes this isn't just an act of desperation to get back his economic position and social status. Mario insists he has a real good reason for doing what he is doing and that Tavo needs to trust him. Tavo reminds him that money isn't the most important thing in the world. Mario knows that but that is how the world works and why shouldn't he be able to live well? Tavo asks if he needs Adrián for that. Mario insists that  Adrián and Elías will give him certain opportunities. Tavo asks him to promise him that he doesn't lose his soul or values like those two. Mario promises he won't do that. 

11. Finally, 2XJosé comes out of the school and tells Regina that he got the scholarship. They hug each other in celebration as Lorenzo just happens to see them. Lorenzo  cannot see a guy dressed like that having anything to do with that beauty Regina. 

12. Chole is impatient with the pregnancy test. She looks at it and there is nothing.  It turns out she didn't use it correctly. She rinsed it off.  Kim brought a second test just in case. 

13. Tere goes to see Connie. She looks in and sees her daughter sobbing in her bed. She tells Delia the  maid she is going to go down to the kitchen and make Connie's favorite from her childhood: pasta carbonara. 

14. Chente and Natalia flirt at the fonda. He sees the launching of the fonda just the first of many"firsts" they will have together. 

15. Chole does the pregnancy test correctly this time and  it shows that she is pregnant. She is so very happy as she talks with Kim. A smiling Tavo appears at the door and wonders why everyone is so happy. 

16. Connie is in her room looking at a photo of her and Tavo as she cradles a pillow wrapped up like a baby.  She remembers trying to avoid getting pregnant for so many years and how she ruined herself. The doctor said that the treatment was reversible and everything would return to normal and she would conceive when she stopped it, but she never did conceive.  She ended up making that disgusting Tavo think that he was the sterile one. 

17. Tavo wants to know why Chole is so happy. Kim conveniently excuses herself. Chole will only tells Tavo that she is so happy that they will be getting married soon and starting a family. Tavo needs her advice. He explains how he is between a rock and a hard place with doing business with Chente or Mario and the situation with Mario's new company. He says that he told Mario he would be doing business with his friend Chente. Chole says what they are doing to Chente is a real shame. Tavo is going to warn Chente about what is going on. Chole asks if the competition is going to be that bad. Tavo says that Chente will not be able to compete. Chole says that if Mario wants to be that crooked at least Tavo isn't.  Mario might be a friend but Chente is family. That makes Tavo smile. 

18. Vale shows Mario a car that she is renovating and they have a comical mishap. He almost  kisses her but Vale,  all smiles, interrupts him with a question about his "nice" novia Fernanda.  He says she is doing well. She is a special woman. She comments that she isn't jealous at all  and brags about how her little heart has found an owner of its own. He novio is tender and really very lovely.  Mario has to know who it is.  She tells him it is JuanGa! Mario is shocked.

19. Natalia is telling JuanG about how delicious the beans are that he made.  She is so pleased with his work because she can feel all the love and dedication that he puts into his cooking. He thanks her and surprises her by calling her "sister-in-law."  Kim comes over to flirt with JuanGa wanting him for her novio. He tells her they have to take things nice and slow. 

20. Mario cannot believe that JuanGa is Vale's novio. He is such a ladies' man. Vale says that is what everyone says because he is so good looking and so nice to everyone.  Mario wants to go on a double date tonight. Supposedly,  Fernanda wants to get to know Fernanda and find out how  she became  such good pals with Mario. Vale doesn't know about JuanGa because the fonda is opening tomorrow. Mario insists that the four of them go out tonight. When he leaves, Vale stops smiling wondering what to do. 

21. Mario touches base with Omar working at Chente's.  Omar assures him that things are going well with Andrea. Mario thinks that Omar needs to get a better job. Mario says that he and Adrián  have opened up a new auto parts distributorship  and maybe he would like to work for them. Mario says that Adrián already asked him and he rejected the offer because he wants to show his father that he can make it on his own. He has also agreed to work with Chente and he cannot fail him. Mario  tells him to put his pride aside if it comes down to giving his family a better life. He tells him to contact him if he wants a better salary.

22. Adrián tells Elías over dinner that his son is working at a vile auto parts store in the neighborhood. Adrián adds that his son  will be out of a job very soon because he is driving the the auto parts shop into bankruptcy. He adds that then owner is Natalia's lover. Elías asks what Adrián is getting out of it. Adrián starts to quote a saying: "Cuando la pobreza entra por la puerta, el amor sale por  . . ."  Elías finishes the thought " . . .  la ventana."  (When poverty comes in through the door, love leaves through the window.) Elías thinks it will take a while to run that guy out of business. He must  have  loyal  customers and a very good reputation in the neighborhood.  Adrián insists he will not be able to compete with their prices. Elías asks if he says that his son was very happy working there. Adrián says he is but the problem is his daughter living in that neighborhood. He needs to get his family out of there. Elías says they could fast track the ruin of that business. Those neighborhoods can be rather dangerous. They could show Natalia how dangerous they really are. Elías wonders what would happen if all of Chente's merchandise got stolen. 

23. Kim wants to know how Tavo reacted. Chole says she hasn't told him yet. She wants to set up a real romantic moment to tell him.  Chole then starts to ruminate about how effective those pregnancy tests really are. Maybe she's part of the 1% failure rate. Kim suggests she go see the doctor. A blood test will tell for sure.

24. Tavo warns Chente. He shows him an auto part. Chente says it looks okay but it isn't the brand that he stocks. Tavo tells him that it is a sample of the auto parts coming out of a new distribution company owned by Mario and Adrián. Chente concludes that the two guys have gotten together to compete with him. Tavo shows him the price list of his new competition. Chente says they are giving parts away. He suggests that Chente contract with them. Chente says he would refuse to do that even if he were crazy. Tavo warns him how hard the competition is going to be and like nothing that has been seen. He asks where their company is located.

25. JuanGa is working in the kitchen when Vale comes by to see him. She tells him that she needs his help. She wanted to get Mario jealous so she told him that she and he were novios. JuanGa laughs. She asks him to give her a hand. She needs him to go out on a double date with Mario and Fernanda. He finally agrees. She jumps up and kisses him on the cheek as Natalia comes in and gets him back to work remarking that a second girl has come to visit him.

25. 2XJosé comes bouncing into GrannyMagos' room to give her the good news about his scholarship. She is overjoyed and so very proud of him. 

26. Adrián is not pleased with the head of the prep school since all he asked  was that 2XJosé not pass the entrance exam.  The director says the the boy over performed on the  written and then an  oral test and that there was no  way to deprive him of it. The board approved his scholarship. Adrián cannot see this school having much prestige with students like 2XJosé. The head of the school says that the school's prestige comes from students with outstanding talent like 2XJosé. Adrián doesn't agree and leaves. 

27. At Chente's, Regina is telling Andrea and her mother that the best thing is that 2XJosé got  a full scholarship. Natalia sees it as a direct result of his hard work and can only think that the  sky will be the limit for him. Regina is happy because they will get to do their studies together. Andrea starts in with her negative comments when Claudio comes in asking where Tere is. Natalia says she is at Connie's because her sister is not doing well. Natalia leaves having something very important  to do. She is going to keep fighting for her happiness. 

28. Connie is out of bed, dressed and putting on her makeup when Connie comes to see her. She is hoping Connie is in a better mood.  Tere explains that she  she came in the morning  with Natalia and then decided to stay in case she needed something. Tere invites her to come eat the pasta she liked so much as a child but Connie puts her off saying she is not hungry.  Tere tells her she needs to eat. She is skin and bones. Connie tells Tere that she is just like Natalia. They only come to aggravate her. Tere warns her that being all alone is not a good thing. She suggests she stay a few days with her. She wants to help her. Connie says she has done enough by helping that hairdresser steal her husband. She calls her mother a traitor. Tere tells her she is her mother and only wants to be close to her. Connie says she can stay if she wants. It is all the same to her.  She sees her as just another ghost roaming through the halls around  the house.  Connie leaves the room. Tere is left in tears. 

29. Andrea and Regina are doing laundry. Andrea is so happy that Chole is letting her use  the wash machine. It is so easy! Regina cannot believe that Andrea is happy in place like this doing laundry. Andrea says she has to do something as Omar works to pay their expenses. Regina presumes that their father must be still giving her money. Andrea says he is  but she is saving it for emergencies. She asks Regina not to tell anyone. They both wonder where their mother went. 

30. Simba runs into Olga on the street who is going for tortillas for GrannyMagos. He cannot believe that she has turned into Granny Magos' maid. She tells him that she only needs to get rid of that old lady Natalia and then she will be in and with Chente.  Simba laughs thinking it will all backfire on her.  Olga says she will have the last  laugh. Simba twists her arm and informs her that he is ready to tell all he knows about her. That would include telling Chente she wanted to kill Natalia unless she pays for his  silence. He reminds her about her monthly 15,000 pesos payment. 

31. Olga calls Adrián telling him that Simba is still extorting her. Adrián reminds her that they cannot be seen together so as not to feed Natalia's or Chente's suspicions.  Olga understands that but wants to know how he is going to get the money to her. Adrián asks where he can find this imbecile that is extorting her.  He is going to go looking for him and she will not be bothered by him again. Olga is surprised that he would do that for her.  He answers that of course he would.  He reminds her that a favor needs to repaid with another favor. She happily agrees reminding him how she is going to repay him. Adrián can only grin thinking about her.

32. Andrea is in her room when Connie just walks in. She says she is there to talk to her and see the baby. 

33. Chente goes to see Mario at  his new business remarking that it is nothing like what you would see in the neighborhoods. Chente finds it hard to believe that they can pay for all of  this with the low prices they are charging. Mario says he has a lot to learn. Chente recognizes that Mario was very calculated in that he went from the fonda to join Adrián to ruin him.  Mario says he is only doing what serves him best. Chente reminds Mario how far he has fallen.

34. Connie tells Andrea that she came to apologize to her. Andrea says she is forgiven but it wouldn't be a good thing for anyone to find her there. She asks her to go. Connie continues saying she knows that she made a mistake with their act. Andrea is done talking about that but Connie isn't. Andrea tells her that she knows she kept Omar away from her the day he was to leave the country. Connie says she was just trying to protect her. Andrea tells her she lied to her and that cannot be forgiven. 

35. Natalia meets Adrián at a restaurant. A smiling hopeful Adrián wants to know why she called him for this meeting. She presents him with divorce papers. She asks him to sign on the line and offers him a pen. 

36.  Chente cannot believe that Mario is so little of a man and would join forces with Adrián to run him out of business. Mario tells him to wake up. The world does not revolve around him. He got into this business to make his own life better. Chente tells him to be a man and to own up to things are they are. They are charging almost half of what he charges. Mario informs him that the only one who has anything against him is Adrián and he's not the same as him. Chente tells him he cannot wash his hands of what is going on. Why did he get involved with that piece of garbage? Chente finally realizes that he did it to try to separate him and Natalia. He assures him that his plan will not work.  

37. Adrián leaves Natalia holding  her pen telling her that she is taking a rather rash decision. Why doesn't she give him a couple of days to have his lawyer review the divorce papers. She tells him that is not a choice. She wants him to sign  the divorce papers here and now. He takes the pen and tells her that he has no plans on signing anything because he still has the hope of returning to her and winning back her heart. She says she has moved on with her life, has no room in her heart of him  and recommends that he do that same. That cycle of life is over finally. He asks if Chente is pressuring her. No he isn't. She suggests if  he wants to show her he is to be trusted some day, he should act like a gentleman. He opens the folder, picks up the pen and exes out each of the pages. He then rips them all up and throws them off the table. He tells her that he is not planning on letting her to go so easily. He will not give her a divorce today or ever  just because he loves her.
