Caray, Caray!

Hey, JudyB, it is another scorcher on the patio tonight. The Good Humor man will be making his rounds with endless treats!  I have always liked the strawberry shortcake or the Mickey ice cream bar myself. Decisions, decisions! 

1. Mario is confronting Vero about his sister Tania. She hopes he has left his tigress in her cage with a double lock on the  door. He tells her not to talk about his novia that way. She smiles saying she agrees that he should be affectionate with his pets, but he needs to train them. He makes it clear that he is not there for insults but came to clarify the situation with his sister. She is convinced that Adrián was behind the death of his sister. Mario tells her the dates don't match and shows her some documents to prove it. Tania  was dead before Adrián traveled to Italy. Vero thinks that Adrián must have hired a hitman. Vero is impressed by Mario's attitude. Tania abandoned him when he was in jail,  left with all of his money and it still hurts him to have lost her. He says she was still  his sister and the only family that he had. He blames Vero for having pressured Tania to have done what she did. Vero pats him on the face and tells him that he is a good man. He recoils from her touch. Maybe she made a mistake choosing Adrián. She asks Mario if they had married, would they have been happy?

2. JuanGa confronts 2XJosé about his lack of feeling about Chente marrying Olga. It is simple for 2X. Olga is expecting Chente's  baby and he isn't going to leave her without support. He is following what GrannyMagos said. They were to not get involved and to support Chente. 2X goes on saying that Olga is never going to be JuanGa's so he needs to give it up already. JuanGa doesn't care about who the  baby's father is. He only knows that Chente will never love Olga like he does. 2X says that is the Ramírez curse. None of the three of them are ending up with the woman he loves. 

3. Natalia calls.  She and JuanGa are going shopping because the fonda is going to open back up tomorrow. 

4. Mario thinks he and Vero would have ended up in the same place as they are now because sooner or later she would have betrayed him. Vero likes this new change she is seeing in Mario. He isn't as boring or well-behaved as before. He says she  is still a woman who cannot be trusted. She says because they had a beautiful love once upon a time, she will help him clarify what happened in his sister's death. They will make sure that justice is done and if Adrián is guilty, they will make sure he ends up in jail. Mario roughly grabs her and tells her that he knows that there is no evidence against her in Adrián's con scheme but if something appears against her, he will make sure that Adrián isn't the only one who will end up behind bars. He roughly releases her. She enjoys it.

5. Having witnessed what just happened, Vero's maid Juana asks Vero is she really thinks she is going to entangle Mario with another one of her lies. She knows that if Tania is dead it is because Vero killed her. Vero warns her that if she sticks her nose where it is not wanted, she will end up the same way.  Vero wants to box Adrián in and bring him down to such a degree that he will have no option but to escape the country with her. She will get him to leave everything for her. 

6. Andrea tells Omar that they need to schedule their wedding sooner to help cheer up her mother.  He says since they are talking about weddings,  would she mind if they did allow his mother to organize their wedding. Andrea isn't too happy being afraid that Samia will just do what she wants. Omar assures her they will have veto power. Omar has scheduled a lunch for the three of them.  Andrea gives in. 

7. Kim is complaining  to Tere about the results of her card reading with no marriage in her future. She lets it drop that Chente is gong to marry Olga. Tere says Natalia will be so hurt when she finds out. Kim says that Olga made a point of telling Natalia  first. Tere is not surprised. 

8. Julián comes to visit not Natalia but Tere. Kim is frustrated that even Tere will be married before her and leaves. 

9. Olga goes to the garage to let everyone know that she is going to marry Chente. She is the happiest girl in the world. Vale says she feels sorry for Chente and for Olga. It is so sad. Dragging a man to the altar by a rope tied around his neck  is the worst mistake she could make. She reminds Olga that Chente will never fall in love with her. Donovan mentions poor Chente having gotten Olga pregnant. Simba suddenly is interested and immediately tries to talk to Olga about her pregnancy. Olga pushes him away and  says she thought that everyone would have been happy for her considering they are friends, but she was wrong. She turns and leaves. Simba is left wondering. 

10. At the market. Natalia and JuanGa talk about the house, her and Chente. She thinks it was the best  for her to keep the house because of her business and not wanting to run into Olga all the time. JuanGa asks if she and Chente ended on good terms. Natalia says it hurts too much to talk about. JuanGa doesn't know why Natalia would give up on Chente. She should accept Chente and the situation for what it is. Natalia thinks it is time to change the topic back to their shopping. 

11. Tavo tracks down Claudio to the bar. Claudio tries to make light of the fact that he spent what Tavo gave him for auto parts on liquor. Tavo is not buying it. Tavo tells him if he doesn't get his alcoholism under control, he will have lost Tere for good and the friendship of the few friends he still has.  

12. Simba follows Olga home and confronts her in the fonda. He wants to know if the baby is his. Chente sees them together and asks what is going on.

13. Julián has decided to tell Tere that he cannot stop thinking about her. She feels the same way but it is too early to think about going out with somebody since she just got separated. He doesn't want to lose time. He asks her to do a Tarot reading to see what the cards say about them seeing each other. She smiles. 

14. Olga explains that Simba only came by to congratulate them about the wedding. Chente asks if they were out together. Olga says no they ran into each other while she was going home. Simba says Olga is looking even cuter than normal. It must be the pregnancy. Chente decides he has to talk to Olga inside. He turns and leaves. She quietly tells Simba she will see him later. 

15. Olga makes up a story about how Simba is jealous of her and Chente  because she refused to have anything to do with him.  Chente says he will talk to him so he isn't bugging her. Olga downplays it all. Chente tells her that she needs to pack up her things because they are moving out of the house. He explains that Natalia is now the full owner. Olga goes off on how Chente helped Natalia and her whole family out when she needed it but that same courtesy isn't being reciprocated. Chente isn't discussing anything with her. It is time to pack up. Olga changes her tune. It will be better to leave so she doesn't have to run into Natalia every single day but she still thinks that Natalia is not appreciative of what Chente did for her. Chente asks her not comment on Natalia good or bad. Olga isn't happy to be going back to Chole's if she will have her.  Chente is going to talk to Chole since he doesn't have enough money to go anywhere else. Olga tells him it  will all turn out okay because very soon they will have a house of their own. She hugs him and he slaps her on the back as if she were one of the guys. 

16. Tere tells Julián that there is a "union" in his fate but it will not be in his love life but in his business. She thinks he will have a good alliance  with her daughter. The next card she turns over foretells of a romance. He grabs Tere's hand and asks her if she can be more specific. They are interrupted by a drunk Claudio saying that he caught them.

17. In the kitchen, Natalia, Andrea and JuanGa unpack the groceries. JuanGa teaches Andrea how to sort the beans and pick out the stones. Regina and Lorenzo arrives. Lorenzo agrees to help, too, as Natalia's scullion. (pinche)  JuanGa thinks that is girl's work. Natalia explains that  a "pinche" is a guy who helps out in the kitchen and in the old days would  "pinchar"/"pierce" the food with a fork before it was served.  Lorenzo tells JuanGa that he is a "pinche", too. JuanGa is not too sure about that. 

18.  Claudio raves on about Tere still being his wife since they haven't gotten divorced yet. He wants to talk to his wife alone.  A married woman is off limits.  Tere suggests that Julián leave so she can resolve this problem.  He will talk to her later, kisses her hand and leaves. Claudio demands that she immediately wash her hand. He raves on about her being his wife and he can say whatever he wants to her. She explains that Julián is a friend and that he embarrassed her.  He will not be doing that again in front of him or anyone else. Claudio insists she is cheating on him with somebody she just met. She explains she was reading his cards. Claudio sees that as an act of intimacy. He won't forgive her for baring Julián's soul. Esoterically speaking, she stripped him.  Tere looks at Claudio as if he were crazy.

19. Chole cannot believe that Chente would propose to Olga since he does not love her. She asks him if he didn't think about the kind  life he would have with her. He explains  he needs support now and not scolding. He is well aware of the consequences. He needs to rent some rooms because Natalia is taking over the house. He asks Chole to try to make peace with Olga.  Chole says she has  no other choice  because of the promise she made her aunt. Chole says she is in the same situation as Olga but she would never force anyone to marry her because she has dignity. 

20. JuanGa tells Olga that she got her way but he tries to talk her into being with him again. She is not interested and  threatens to tell Chente that he is bothering her.  JuanGa says if she loves Chente as  much as she says, why doesn't she let him go with the woman he loves? He insists he loves her and not Kim. She tells him to leave her alone because he doesn't want her as his enemy. She could make his own family banish him. JuanGa is in tears when he leaves.

21.  Claudio demands to know where Julián took her to. Tere is not giving him any explanations because they are no longer a couple and her life is private. He guesses that he took her out to eat. He wants to hear all about it. Did they talk about their lives? Did she tell him how unhappy she is with him? She says they talked about all of that but Claudio missed something. Julián was the one who PAID  the check. Claudio says that was really bad of her because she is acting like a single woman. Tere has the solution for that. She tells him that she wants them to file for their divorce tomorrow. Suddenly Claudio is singing a different  tune, but it is too late. She tells him to stay away from her. All she wants is for him to disappear from her life forever. She screams to him to get out. 

22. Chente tells 2XJosé to go to the kitchen and get their things but he is not  to bother Natalia because they are working. 

23. 2X has a chip on his shoulder when he arrives in the kitchen and starts packing up kitchen utensils Natalia and her crew are using. JuanGa tells him to take it easy. Regina says they will return everything  to Chente all cleaned up after they are done cooking. He says it might not be his brother's house but they are still using his things. Natalia tells  him that nobody is treating him poorly and she doesn't like his tone. He can take whatever he wants but she is not about to put up with his rudeness. He excuses himself and goes to empty some cabinets. Lorenzo has to laugh. 

24. Chente is spending some time in his room with a photo of Lucía and a statue of the Virgin Mary. Olga comes in. He cannot get it through  his  head that this house will stop being his home. Olga says they have to be positive and he will see that the sun will shine again and everything will be fine. Besides that,  they will have a better house. He feels like he is leaving all of the memories  of his Lucía behind. He talks abut how hard they worked to buy the house and how they saved for the down payment from the day that Ben was born. Olga remembers the party they had when they got the house. Chente adds that Lucía chose every piece of furniture and decorated everything herself with so  much love. Olga knows that anything that she says will not make him feel better but everything happens for a reason. This is chance for them to leave all of those memories behind and  the ghosts of Lucía and Natalia so they can start fresh forming their own family in their own home. 

25, GrannyMagos is so happy to be there to help Tere put that party-loving Claudio in  his place. She tells her not to let Claudio twist her arm; demand a divorce! Tere says she asked him for it very clearly. Ben asks what the word divorce means. GrannyMagos says it happens when two people don't understand each other any more and decide to go their own way so as not to not be annoyed all the  time. Tere adds that you can love somebody but still not get along with them. Granny Magos talks to Ben about packing. Tere thinks it was such a good thing that Chente did by giving Natalia the house but it still hurts her. Granny Magos assures her that they will be close and will still be neighbors.

26. Away from the kitchen in the fonda, JuanGa tells 2XJosé that he went too far. 2X is all upset that JuanGa didn't support him when he was in the kitchen. He acted like he was part of Natalia's family. JuanGa says he saw that they were working and he barged in there.  2X says his brother asked him to collect those things. JuanGa knows that but he let his anger get the best of him when he saw Lorenzo. JuanGa informs him that all he got was Natalia's scolding while Lorenzo was gaining points with her asking what he could do and treating Regina like a queen. 2X reminds him that he and Regina are nothing anymore so she can do what she feels like.  She and Lorenzo can get married. Her family wanted a stuck up rich guy for their princess anyway.  Juanga asks him "De que se murieron los quemados?" (What did the burned people die from?) The answer is "Bien ardidas" (they were well burned) (Duh!)  In other words,  it was  so very obvious that 2XJosé was jealous.  He tells 2X not to come back to the kitchen to just do more damage to himself again. 

27. Andrea and Omar meet with Samia for lunch. She wants to give them a condo as a wedding present. She insists it came from her own fortune not her husband's. Andrea turns it down. She wants to live in her mother's house. Samia asks in that filthy barrio? Anna tells her to be careful because that is where her grandchild is going to be raised.  Andrea says the people there love honestly and are good people.   That is where Andrea wants to create her family.

28. Chente asks  2X to help him get Olga out of the house so he can say goodbye to Natalia. That will be impossible with Olga hanging all over him. 2X tells him "No busques mangos al chaleco" (Don't go looking for sleeves on a vest) In other words, don't go looking for trouble. Chente says it is his mess he has  to deal with and asks 2X to do him this favor. 2X agrees to do it. 

29. 2X manages to tell Olga a "story"  about what Chente is doing (he went to pick up more boxes for the move) so he can get her out of the house and over to Chole's. She finally agrees to go with him and not wait for Chente.

30. Mario comes looking for Vale at the boarding house. Vale is ready for a fight. Her fists are up. 

31. Natalia and Chente meet in the living room. He affectionately removes some food from her face and says he wanted to see her to say goodbye. He gives her the receipts showing proof of payment for the house and his set of keys. He thanks her for everything and asks her to take care of the house. She tells him she'll care for it just as he has. She thanks him for allowing her to live there. He is only going to go upstairs to finish packing for Ben and then they will be going. As he starts to go, she stops him and in tears tells him how much it hurts that they have ended things  like this. With tears in his own eyes, Chente answers that he came to imagine that at some time she and he would be happy here; that it was going to be the home of their love, their children, their family. In his dreams, it was THEIR home. It was the same for her.   As they talk, Ben starts to come down the stairs.  Chente goes to hug her and she says it is better not because it is too painful to drag it on like this. He agrees. 

32. Coming down the stairs, Ben surprises them both by declaring that he is not going to leave. He demands that his father give hm a divorce. 

33. In the face of Vale's fists, Mario tells her he only wants to fix things between them. She says they will see because she first wants to know why he is seeing that woman who was cheating on him. He says there are some issues that still tie him to Vero but that doesn't mean that he feels anything for her. Vale says she is pretty. Mario makes it clear that Vale is much more beautiful and has a good soul. He explains that after she betrayed him with Adrián,  some things happened that he needs to find out about to be able to close that chapter of his lie. It isn't that he cannot tell her but  he is asking for her to trust him. Vale isn't too happy that Vero thought she was the cleaning lady. There is nothing bad about being a cleaning lady but what ticked her off the most was her tone. It was as if she were looking down on her. Mario grabs her hands as he tells her that she is worth more that Vero because she is truly a brave woman who has made  who she is all on he own. He admires her for that and he really doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. Mario kisses her.

34. Chente explains to Ben that children cannot divorce their parents. He wants to know why not??? Natalia takes his hands and  tells him how his father loves him, how he shows him that affection, how he always plays with him and treats him well. Ben has to agree that he is the very very best  father in the world. Natalia asks why  he wants to divorce him then.  Ben is quick to answer that he is going to marry Olga and have another child. Chente tells him he will have a little brother or sister that he can play with a will love a lot. That doesn't mean that he will stop loving Ben.  Natalia explains how she adores both her daughters. Ben does not want Olga to be his mother. He wants to be with Natalia. That is why he asked for the divorce. He wants to be with her. Natalia hugs him. Chente pats his head. 

35. Tere is all packed up ready to move back to the house. Since Mario is leaving, she asks him to give her hand with the suitcases. She explains to him how they are moving back to the house because  it belongs to her daughter. She adds that Chente is going to marry Olga because she is expecting his child.Mario  feels so bad for Natalia and how she must be hurting. 

36. Tavo tells Claudio that he is fired. He is not moved by a desperate Claudio's begging him to stay since he has no money  and nowhere to sleep. Tavo says he took advantage of his trust and spent money that wasn't his on liquor at the bar. If it were anyone else, he would have called the police. He tells him itt is urgent that he finds help and tells him to leave. 

37. Simba follows Claudio out of the shop and plays loan shark. He offers him 5,000 pesos ($247) to be paid back with interest, of course! Claudio doesn't even find out what the interest is and readily agrees. Simba warns him that he will be paying him back either the easy way or the hard way. Claudio is not deterred and says his word is worth gold. Simba laughs. He tells him to come back in an hour to get the loan.

38. After he leaves, Simba is on the phone telling the other party to come by in an hour. He has a hot job for him. 

39. Chente goes upstairs to pack Ben's things and thanks Natalia for talking to him. Natalie tells Ben that he is already her son because that is something that her heart has determined and  is something that nothing or nobody will ever change. He asks if she will be his mother forever. She agrees that she will always be his mother. Ben asks even if his father marries the witch??  Natalia says that has nothing to do with it. She assures him he will always have his room upstairs at her house. He smiles as she continues to tell him that nobody will stay there so he can come to sleep and play any time with his father's permission,  of course. He will always have shelter in this house. Ben  says he wanted her and his father to get married. She says that she also had that dream but sometimes dreams get trapped in the stars. Ben looks up and asks in the stars?? She says yes, in the stars, holds him close and cries.
